My Top 10 Fav Anime Blorbos (tag game!!)
Thank you so much for the tag @wannabe-cartoonist-blog, I love this. I like your definition of blorbo as "my little guy I wanna consume all the content about". I'm sometimes slightly confused whether I think blorbo is someone I feel the most personal connection to, if it's someone I want to treat like a doll and put in situations, or just my favourite character, since these feelings don't necessarily fit the same character.
I'm just gonna go with my gut, and look for that "something special" feeling that makes a character feel like a bit more than a character to me. That feeling like, even if it's been two decades, the slightest reminder still floods my mind with a feeling as if this character exists in a different way than other characters . š
It's hard to explain because it's not exactly that either, but it's such a distinct feeling. Also, I'm limiting myself to one character per anime. (I could fill this with just KnB characters otherwise, because so many of them are so distinct to me.)
Anyone who has spent any time talking to me on Tumblr knows how special Kuroko is to me. Never before has there been a character who so effectively illustrates my own issues to me, and in such gut-punching detail and complexity too, and I doubt there ever will be. (How much closer can you get? Like, it's impossible to get to 100% and even this close feels like a personal attack. Not really, just a funky coincidence. But you never know of course, more wonderful things have happened.) Parallel Play Blorbo Award. Because (apparently) sometimes a character is too similar to you for you to have a direct relationship with that character at least in the way you usually do, if that makes sense. It's more like watching two parallel universes go on side by side, never colliding. Kind of like in real life, sometimes you aren't friends with people who are exactly like you in too many ways, because you won't be doing things in matching ways, just the same ways, which can sometimes be incompatible; the circumstances that would draw you together just never happen. It's not the best analogy, because clearly this character means the world to me, but. Maybe someone will undestand what I'm trying to say.
The Most Character Ever Blorbo Award. You could open a dictionary, look up "character" and find Ranma's face right next to it. Ranma 1/2 was the first manga I read, I was ten years old, and I felt like Ranma was showing me the world. Despite of how surreal the story was and how much of a brat Ranma was sometimes, the most distinct feeling that still comes back to me when I think about Ranma, is trust. Probably because of the can-do, ready-for-anything attitude, on top of the physical skills. At that age I think I still needed a character you could always trust to win in the end. But perhaps what set Ranma apart from all other childhood action heroes was, not only casually changing sex multiple times a day, but the fact that Ranma was unmistakably the same character, whether a boy or a girl. The series has its less than ideal messages for sure, but Ranma was still completely inspiring. So engaging that I was bummed sometimes as the end of the series was coming near, thinking I could never feel the same way about another character or series, ever again.
Turns out I was wrong, of course. I was even more invested in Inuyasha, The character and the series, from the same creator. The Most Iconic Character Blorbo Award. I think Ranma's translation ended and Inuyasha began in my country at the perfect time for me, because I started middle school, and was beginning to appreciate a more complex and serious narrative, after Ranma's slapstick comedy. Inuyasha is epic. Inuyasha is every bit the action hero Ranma is, but also has more gritty emotional realism that really spoke to me at that age. I didn't so much need a character who would never let me down, l needed someone to root for, someone who was more obviously flawed and struggling, someone I could even go through a tragedy with and accept it for what it was. Inuyasha was that. And oh man, did this character and series make me explore some difficult emotions. To this day, if I go back to Inuyasha, it feels like being in the arms of an adult you could feel your feelings with. But the thing about Inuyasha is, at the time I was experiencing it the first time, my perspective was starting to shift: it's not clear whether I'm the one being held or the one holding someone else. And perhaps that's got something to do with why Inuyasha still feels so real and special.
Too-Ticky from Moomins was a character other people said I resembled when I was in high school. Moomins are a big thing in our culture, so I think it touched me that someone saw me in that iconic tale. The first person who said so was trying to pin me down, I think, and she was considering that I was like Snufkin, but she felt like something was off about it, and then it looked like a lightbulb went on, and she said I was like Too-Ticky, "going my own way, doing my own thing" but not like Snufkin, because I was more gentle and helpful and interested in other people over solitude or wandering. Which profoundly touched me, that someone could see that, because I sometimes felt like my introversion was incompatible with my need for connection and my people-oriented outlook. But since then, watching Too-Ticky made me feel like maybe those things are not incompatible after all. Her zen definitely greatly exceeds mine, so I also think of her when I start feeling like I need to remember how to let things go. I particularly like this Too-Ticky quote: āAll things are so very uncertain, and thatās exactly what makes me feel reassuredā because it almost sounds exactly like something I would say, except not at all. Because the undertone is so laid-back. It's like Too-Ticky is saying "...which is why I'm sitting back" where I would say "...which is why I'm holding on". Sometimes I need more of her kind of thinking. Big Sister Blorbo Award.
Arthurian Trauma Blorbo Award. I... don't even know what happened? It isn't like I hadn't read or watched tragic stories before. But Saber from Fate/Stay Night changed my brain chemistry. I don't know why I couldn't accept the ending. But I couldn't. I. Just. Couldn't. No way in hell. For some reason Saber was a character I NEEDED to go on, in a different way than she did. So I spent a good chunk of high school single-mindedly obsessed with changing her fate. In a fan comic, that I had to forcibly tear myself away from and let go after around 200 pages, having drawn the most important thing, and too many life obligations ganging up on me. It was the first time I gave in to fan creation like that. (KagaKuro was the second.) For a good while I was carrying a folder of comic pages everywhere. I was drawing in secret in class all the time. I remember this one training camp where I would already be drawing if we had a five minute break, and I wouldn't even stop drawing while eating, I just had to use every second I got. For some reason Saber just triggered my I NEED TO SAVE YOU IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO response like no other character before or since.
The Ultimate Fantasy Blorbo Award. Howl makes me so envious. I know he's not as OP as he seems, I know it's not simple. I know he paid a great price and didn't know what he was even doing. But my God, I want, so badly, to have easy-breezy power like him. Even for a moment. Even if it's surface level. For once, I just want to know what it would be like. He can save someone by just taking their hand and literally strolling through the air with them. He can provide a bigger and better house for his family by just focusing for a minute and imagining it into existence. He can give so much so easily without breaking a sweat, obviously looking flawless while doing all that. I want to feel like that for once. YES I know there's so much sadness and pain and the danger of going too far with his magic, but that doesn't change the fact that I want what he has. That incredible lightness of power and motion and the untouchable, easy air of his demeanor. What would I give for one day as Howl? I just want to feel like I don't need to work so hard for minimum results all the time. I want to have excess power. I want to feel like I'm not absolutely spent every time I get what I want, or manage what's expected of me. Just for a moment, I want the real life equivalent of being able to stroll through the air and skip over rooftops. Physical freedom. It's gut-wrenchingly sweet to think about.
The Queer Blorbo Award. Oscar from The Rose of Versailles is relevant to SO many queer people, relatable from a variety of perspectives and identities. Don't let the glitter eyes and clunky animation fool you, this anime is amazing, and ahead of its time, it's still ahead of OUR time in some ways, and Oscar is definitely a queer icon. I stumbled upon an old video of this anime in the library when I was seven, and woah. It was magic. I definitely idolized Oscar for a long time. It was amazing having a hero that spoke to some part of you there were no names for. (Not to mention I knew that the Finnish version of Oscar was one of the names my parents had considered for me before I was born. That felt almost like an extended hand from a completely unattainable hero, haha.) Yeah, I definitely role-played as this character a lot as a child. I was just blown away by the heroics back then, but as an adult I can better appreciate how simultaneously stupid and smart, naive and mature, passionate and lazy, composed and all over the place Oscar is. A very intriguing and genuine character.
The It Could Be So Much Worse Blorbo Award. Fakir from Princess Tutu is born to write and born to do ballet, but instead his life keeps being a complete mess. His creations come to life literally and can kill the people he loves most. He has to babysit a guy who's got nothing but mindless self-sacrifice left of his soul and will jump out of a window to save a bird (without pants). His soulmate is a literal duck, who only visited life as a human girl. So... even if I sometimes fear that my writing is too much for some people I love, if I feel like I'm powerless to protect people even more powerless than me, if I feel like I can't connect with the people I wish to connect with, in the way that I would want... Yeah. It could be so much worse. And I probably wouldn't trade lives with Fakir, even though it would mean I would get his ballet skills, too. Even if Fakir's situation couldn't literally happen, thinking about him gives me perspective and makes me feel less sorry for myself when I get like that. Because he's doing everything I want to do, better than me, but objectively? His life mostly sucks.
The Teacher Blorbo Award. Maybe the most special thing about Hikari from Digimon, isn't that she was my favourite character in the first anime I was able to share with my first friend in school... Maybe it's that she was also my friend's favourite character, and that taught 8-year-old kids a lot about sharing and how to play nice in fandom. Yeah, we loved her personality, her character design, her digimon, her character songs and all that, and our life mission was to find a top like hers... but perhaps it's thanks to Hikari being both of our favourite, that some things were obvious to me before I ever set foot in online community. Things like, you can't own a character. That sharing different perspectives enriches your experience instead of taking away from it. That fandom isn't a competition. That if you feel nit-picky, the prize is usually on the other side of getting over yourself. Basic things, that are sometimes hard to learn or remember, even for adults.
The Overidentification Blorbo Award. Haku from Spirited Away was that character whose actions I had a strong need to explain in ways that made sense from my own perspective, to assign him motivations that I would have had in his shoes, even if something different would have been more plausible or more narratively interesting or coherent. I was ten, and I think it lasted for a year or two. I think what I learned from it was to look for a better balance: you can use your experience as an inspiration but it should only enrich, not override the core of the character or the thematic integrity of the original story. If you can't admit when someone you identify with, differes from you, or does something you wouldn't do, that's dishonest, in an intellectual and creative way too. Of course this is all coming from a perspective of valuing a quite "serious" approach to analysis, and fanfiction too. (Which makes sense for me, because fiction is my career.) I know not everyone values that, and it's fine. (This is NOT a statement to invalidate anyone whose fandom experience relies dominantly on self-referential content, such as self-shipping. I encourage everyone to be as self-indulgent as you want. Only you know what's good for you.) This is just how I learned how I personally want to do things. Of course I couldn't articulate it as a little kid, but I experienced this sense of dishonesty and overindulgence that I didn't like. I want myself and what I can draw from my life to be in service of the subject, not the other way around. I only want to use "me" where I genuinely think my experience makes a story or a character stronger by filling in the gaps in a way that brings a relevant and innovative angle to the themes. So. Thanks, Haku, for making me grow as an artist.
Why are four of my blorbos drawing their swords I'm sure it says nothing about me
Thanks for reading my self-indulgent rambling. But perhaps some of it is relatable to someone? I hope. Apologies for getting so wordy and coming up with my own 'Blorbo Awards'... @wannabe-cartoonist-blog's original post was much more concise and sensible.
I'm tagging @lylakoi @art-of-firefly @active-mind-15 @istps @shutokushintaro @worldly-nugget only because I can't tag everyone, so, anyone, please do it if you want. I for one, love reading this kind of thing from people. āØ

SDRA2 Boys with a innocent Girlfriend who Daughter of Genma Saotome From Ranma 1/2 who have a curse that he'll turn into a Panda if he gets wet in cold water and human in hot water at first The Boys try to get along with him which is working out alright until he admits casually while Y/N is away he have given Y/N hands to other people before without Y/N knowledge and tries to convince the boys to leave her but instead Y/N is confuse of why her boyfriend made her move in with them (Part 1)
Hereās what the second part said:
But Follows along and wonders where her Dad went *The Boys secretly put him in a panda Zoo* base on some episode of Ranma 1/2 where it reveals Genma habit of selling his kid hand in marriage multiple times just to get free food or stuff despite making a promise vow to arrange his hand marriage to his childhood friend daughter
This prompt is a bit difficult, but I tried my best!Ā
Mikado Sannoji:
....Was your dad a wizard too??
As someone who uses actual magic on a daily basis, he easily believed you, but was definitely surprised. Don't worry though, the secret is safe with him! ^o
He puts on his best hat and cape when meeting your father, and even offers to perform some magic tricks for him! He doesn't have any experience with parents, but he's trying his best for you!Ā
He's overjoyed when things seem well between him and your dad, and attempts some casual conversation when you briefly leave. When your father tells him to break up with you, his mask goes completely blank.Ā
"...Excuse me?"
As your father explains what he did, offering your hand in marriage, your love and your life like it was just an object to him, Mikado nearly burns the house down. His magic rarely gets out of control, but the complete anger he feels is a fire in itself. He is still sizzling with rage even when both of you had already left.Ā
He insists on moving in together that very night, and barely leaves your side. The moment youāre asleep, he places your dad in the panda zoo and doesn't look back. He probably threw some bamboo at him for good measure.Ā
The next morning, he makes you breakfast and acts like nothing happened. Anyone who claims to be your fiancĆ© better leave in the next few moments if they don't want to be burned alive. Mikado would never tell you what he did to your dad, but eventually would tell you what your father had done, being by your side at every moment.Ā
It hurts him knowing what you had been through, but he'll always be there to help.
"It's going to be alright, Y/n. That man will never use you ever again..."
Ā Yuri Kagarin:
He sits in quiet confusion when you tell him about your dads special ability, but as his lover, he completely trusts you and will take your word for it.Ā
When meeting your dad, he tries to tone down his aggression towards males. Sure, this guy was a man, but he's the man who raised you and loved you. He could make an exception for your family.Ā
It's definitely awkward, Yuri trying to keep his anti-male comments to himself, still treats your father as kindly as he can. He's genuinely surprised when they get along decently, but he internally begs you not to leave.Ā
"W-Well...the sky is rather blue today..."
"I want you to break up with Y/n."
"...Š§ŃŠ¾, ŃŠµŃŃ Š²Š¾Š·ŃŠ¼Šø, ŃŃ ŃŠ¾Š»Ńко ŃŃŠ¾ ŃŠŗŠ°Š·Š°Š», Š¼ŃŠ¶Ńина?"
He has to hold himself back when your father admits to giving away your hand in marriage for things as small as free food. His fingers are strangling air by the time you return, and he doesn't hesitate to take you and leave.Ā
When you agree to move in with him, he buys a new house as far away from your dad as possible with as many security measures he can get. Any male that claims to be your fiancĆ©? They're gonna be scared for their life by the time he's done with them. Any female that claims to be your fiancĆ©? He explains the situation and that you're taken, but still tells them to stay away.Ā
He wants to hire a hitman for your father, but instead puts him in the panda zoo. He could easily hire someone to do it for him, but you trusted him with the knowledge of your dad's ability, and he wouldn't give it away for anything.Ā
"Hey, babe? Do you know where my dad could be?"
"Hmm? I'm not sure, Š¦Š²ŠµŃŠ¾Šŗ. However, I just booked us reservations for that restaurant we wanted to go to!"
He feels absolutely zero remorse for what he did to your dad, and will gladly take it to his grave. However, he does feel terrible knowing what you've been through, and might tell you what your father did eventually. Until then, he'd give you the life you deserve.Ā
Shinji Kasai:
"Wh-What? Y/n, what do you mean...?"
He's extremely confused when you tell him, and while he doesn't really believe you, he'll smile and nod. He trusts you, but the idea of your father having this ability is too absurd to imagine. He knows he's out of loop with technology and other current wonders but this is a bit much-
With your dad, he's loud and more extroverted, but still a bit shy since he's meeting your family. He feels like he's really bonding with your dad, and admires the relationship you have with him. He doesn't mind when you briefly leave, happily (and loudly) starting another conversation.
When your dad tells him to break up with you, revealing that he has already offered your hand in marriage to other people behind your back, he's filled with rage and disgust. Shinji sternly refuses, and the moment you're back, he's getting you away from this man.Ā
Every bone in his body wants to tell you the truth about what your father has done, but... to break your sweet heart knowing how much you love your dad... he can't do it.Ā
He tries legal action, and even talking to your dad again when that doesn't work. He'll explain the situation to anyone who claims to be your fiancĆ©, and keeps you as far away from the drama as possible. You had a right to choose who you want to marry, and the fact that your own family would take that away from you pissed him off.Ā
It would take a LOT to push Shinji to the point of putting your father in a zoo, but when he does, he's completely filled with guilt. It won't even be a week before he admits everything.Ā
"Y/n...Y-You...you deserve to choose who you want to marry. He can't take your freedom away from you like that...I'm so sorry..."
Shinji will always be there for you, and always give you the option to not forgive him and walk away. He understands the wrong in what he and your father did, and he's willing to face the consequences.
Nikei Yomiuri:
"A person who turns into a panda in cold water!? What a scoop!"
You probably have to beg Nikei to not publish an article about your dad. Even when you convince him not to do it, he'll still bring it up time to time, assuring you that he would keep the identity anonymous. However, he can't say no to your innocent puppy eyes, so he whines a bit and keeps quiet about it.Ā
When he meets your dad, he definitely brings it up and asks questions about it. The whole meeting is practically an interview, but Nikei tries his best to talk about himself a bit as well. He isn't worried when you briefly leave, thinking him and your dad were actually getting along, but when he asks Nikei to break up with you, he nearly breaks his pen in half.Ā
He honestly wants to hit your father with his notepad, and nearly does at one point. Your own father giving away your hand in marriage behind your back multiple times for some reasons as small as free food!? It just so happens that this is probably the biggest scoop of the century, but he knows how the press would press you for interviews about it, and you wouldn't be in a good space to respond.Ā
Putting your dad in the panda zoo was definitely a void operation. Emma distracted any zookeepers, Hajime kept anyone else out of the way, Iroha helped Nikei put your unconscious dad in a habitat and ended up falling into the enclosure-
If anyone appears, claiming to be your fiancĆ©, Nikei wouldn't hesitate to threaten them, which doesn't usually work given his weak appearance, but this man would ruin them with the press if they don't back off.Ā
Despite his chattiness and job for unveiling the truth, he would never tell you what happened with your father, or where he is now. He doesn't want to ruin your innocence and break your heart, so he puts on a smile and tells you that he has no idea where your dad is.Ā
"Nikei...I'm starting to think my dad is missing... I haven't seen him anywhere!"
"Missing!? Well, don't worry Y/n! Nikei Yomiuri is on the case!"
He assures you that he'll type up a missing persons report for the police, or maybe create an article to ask the public. You can only smile and hug him, telling him that you couldn't imagine where you'd be without him. It's times like those that Nikei feels the guilt and burdens of what he did, but he'll bury it down, telling himself that he'll take it to his grave.
Yuki Maeda:
"Your father...turns into a panda..." Yuki slowly repeats what you just told him.Ā
It was definitely the strangest thing he had heard you say, and while he wants to believe you, his head can barely wrap around it. Should he bring your dad some bamboo then?
He's extremely nervous about meeting your dad, enough that he's shaking, despite your father being seemingly harmless. Yuki tries to be charming, but is extremely awkward and shy, which only increases as you briefly leave. He's only pulled out of his thoughts of wishing for you to return by your father telling him to break up with you.Ā
He assumes your father doesn't like him, but when he explains the real reason why, Yuki feels sick to his stomach. Yuki can barely speak, and as your father continues to pressure him, he snaps that he's not going to break up with you.Ā
Under most circumstances, Yuki would tell you what happened immediately, but he couldn't get out the words he wanted to say. He saw how happy you were that he got along with your dad, just like how well you got along with him mom. To break your kind heart like that....
Torn, Yuki seeks advice from his big bro, who is the one to suggest moving you in with him. Together, Yuki and Shinji end up placing your dad in the panda zoo, making them both shocked that you weren't joking, but also feeling a bit bad for doing this, even if your father was a scumbag.Ā
If anyone claims to be your fiancĆ©, Yuki tries to get them as far away from you as possible. He tells them that you never consented to them having your hand in marriage and for them to leave you alone. It's not very convincing, but with your innocence, you always thought it was some kind of joke.Ā
Yuki can't hide what he and your dad did from you. After a few months, he breaks down and admits what your father told him when they first met, and what he did in turn. He admits to telling Shinji, but begs you not to blame him for anything.Ā
It's a lot to take in... Yuki doesn't know how to help you, but he wants to try his best.Ā
"Yuki...thanks for telling me."
"...I'm sorry, Y/n. I'm so sorry..."
You wrap your arms around him, and the two of you just cradle each other, whispering words of forgiveness and reassurance.
Hajime Makonouchi:
"...What?"Ā
He tries to believe you when you tell him about your dad turning into a panda, given how he was literally saved by luck from the heavens, but he can't wrap his head around that. Hajime knows you won't lie to him, so he mostly just takes your word for it.Ā
When meeting your dad, he stays polite and patient, making a few health recommendations here and there for both humans and pandas. He's a bit awkward and tries to break the ice when you leave, but your Dad beats him to it by urging him to break up with you.Ā
His eyes widen as he gets even more shocked and horrified as your father explains what he did behind your back. His own parents may have left him, but your father gave you away as if you were nothing but an object. All his instincts tell him to get you away from this situation, and that's exactly what he does.Ā
He smiles as he helps you move in with him, making any excuse not to see your dad. Honestly, it was probably his divine luck that landed your father in the panda zoo, so his hands are clean. Still, he feels a bit of guilt for keeping this away from you, and his heart breaks knowing how the person you trusted as a parent used you.Ā
If anyone claims to be your fiancƩ, his build and talent alone are usually enough to scare them away. If not, he'll tell them that you never consented to it, and it was done behind your back.
It would be a while before he's able to tell you about what your father did, but he's there to comfort you, knowing how betrayal from a parent feels.Ā
"Hajime.... Do you know where my dad is now?"
"...He's fine, but... let's not talk about him. This is about you."Ā
Syobai Hashimoto:
When you told him about your dad turning into a panda, he did not believe you in the slightest. He honestly thought you were saying some stupid joke.
He won't believe it until he actually sees it for himself, and even then, he can barely process it
Syobai doesn't have high expectations for getting along with your dad, as he's literally the type of guy that parents would keep you away from. Ā Still, he wore his tie right and introduced himself for free.
Syobai can admit that he's not a good person, but holy shit did your dad make him look like a saint. He knew from your dads expression that he was waiting for you to leave to say something, but the fact that he had given your hand in marriage without you knowing caught him completely off guard.Ā
He drops his cigarette, before slowly picking it up and using the closest surface as an ashtray. With your kindness and innocent personality, he assumed that your father would be the kind person you described him to be, but now he was asking him to give up one of the few good things in his life so he could marry you off without your knowledge? Hell no. Ā
He honestly just wanted to kill your dad, and almost did, taking his knife out of his coat pocket. However, you returned soon after, and he didn't want to ruin you with this. You're definitely surprised when he asks you to move in with him so suddenly, as Syobai was usually rather cold and wanted to take things slow, but you happily accepted.
He feels absolutely no remorse putting your father in the zoo. He would rather see him dead, but the punishment was appropriate, considering how much he treated you like some sort of prize to give away.Ā
If anyone asks about your hand in marriage, or if anyone claims they were already given your hand, he'll take out his knife and threaten them. He was your boyfriend, if they had a problem with that, they could take it up with him.
Despite his usual bluntness, he wouldn't tell you anything that happened. He thinks about your bastard of a father every now and then, and while he didn't have parents himself, he knows the truth would hurt you.Ā
"Hey, babe? I know that you aren't close with my dad, but... do you have any idea where he might be? I can't find him anywhere..."
At your question, Syobai leaned back, taking another hit of his cigarette,
"I dunno. He'll turn up eventually."
Teruya Otori:
He honestly thought you either crazy or joking when you told him about your dad's ability. He thinks your messing with him, and needs to see it to actually start to process it
He's happy to get along with your dad, considering how well you got along with his! Maybe your dads could be friends or something!Ā
When you briefly leave the conversation, he continues smiling and chatting with your dad, but pauses after seeing his darkening expression.Ā
"...? Is everythin' alright?"
He's taken aback after hearing what your father has done. He doesn't realize that he's shaking with anger until you point it out. He's too stunned to reply to your father's words and request to breakup with you, but there's no way he's doing it.
For a while, he's distant and hesitant, wanting to tell you the truth about your dad but he doesn't want to break your heart. If he learned that his own father done something like that...
Teruya wanted to go to his dad for advice, but stopped himself. He wasn't a coward anymore, and this wasn't something he had the right to share. Still, the more he thinks about it, the angrier he gets, to the point where you think he's mad at you.
It hurts him to look into your innocent eyes, knowing how much you have been unknowingly taken advantage of. Placing your father in a panda zoo was one of his few moments of being driven by anger, and he can barely sleep knowing what he did.Ā
Teruya avoids anyone who claimed to have your hand in marriage, which was too many people to count. Knowing you were practically given away by your dad just for something as small as free food broke him. He starts acting overprotective and you're only getting more confused.Ā
Eventually, you snap at him despite your innocence,Ā
"Teruya! What has gotten into you!? You act distant, then ask me to move in with you, act distant again, and now you'll barely leave me alone! What is going on!? Why are you acting like this!?"
Teruya can't hold back anymore, bursting into tears and admitting everything. He can't keep something like this from you. You deserved to know more than anyone, but he loved you so much...
He can't stop apologizing for what he did, and for hiding what your own father had did. As he was dreading, your heart shatters, and you feel betrayed. Teruya gives you some space for the next few days, checking in every now and then... In a way, he feels like he betrayed you just as much as your dad did.
"Hey...Teruya?"
"..?"Ā
"...Thanks for telling me. You did what you thought was right...can you stay with me?"Ā
The two of you hold each other and cry together. It would be a while before you completely trust him again, or trust anyone for that matter, but you forgive him, accepting that he's there for you on the long road to recovery.

We Never Learn AMV - [Omoide ga Ippai]

Being in the Nisekoi discord, it was inevitable I would be exposed to this series. I finally decided to check it out last month and boy, I am happy I did.

I first read the 10 available volumes of the manga before watching both seasons last week. Then I binge read everything up to chapter 167 to learn more about the story and to find out when it diverges into character routes.
I have to admit it's unique and while it does cheapen the overall story, I'm happy they exist. The reason is because all, and I mean all, of the characters are so likable that I would hate to see them be heartbroken.
Unlike Nisekoi where I honestly could not care less about any other girl aside Chitoge in that harem, I've grown attached to the characters in Bokuben's harem. I like how each girl has an individual goal and how hard they work towards it. All the side characters too never left a foul taste in my mouth. Even a jerk like Fumino's dad got a redemption arc and he's now hilarious.
The song used is the 3rd opening theme song from Ranma 1/2 Omide ga Ippai. It was reintroduced to my life at around the same time I started reading. I simply love the warm feeling one gets from listening to it.
I finished this AMV on the same day the last chapter of Fumino's arc was translated.Ā

It must be fate because now that all the material for her is available, I will try my hardest to make an AMV worthy of her.Ā
She's definitely the best girl of this series and she deserves my best effort. I already have the perfect song ready to use.š„°
In case you are curious of my ranking of the girls, here it is
1. FuminoĀ
I think the thing that made me love this character is how she did things that I did not expect. I thought of her as the super girly type who would cry when faced with adversity but no! She held her ground, faced up to the challenge that is her father and never broke down in tears like I would expect. She's not dense and instantly picked up on her friend's crushes and because of that, was so hurt when she developed feelings of her own. She has a fun and trusting relationship with Nariyuki because of all the situations theyāve been in together, not to mention both of them losing a parent early in life. Thatās something only the two of them can understand.Ā And of course, she is in my eyes the most beautiful girl in a manga full of them. I know I said I would be heartbroken to see the other girls cry but I don't think I can handle seeing Fumino cry from a broken heart if routes didn't exist.š„ŗ
2. Mizuki and SekijoĀ
I obviously don't consider them part of the harem but in terms of my enjoyment in reading, as well as their design, when they appear, they are both definitely second. Sekijo is such a fun character that Iām thankful we got to know more about her in Rizuās route. Mizuki is entertaining every time she appears that I desperately want one more chapter focused on her.
3. AsumiĀ
I instantly enjoyed her teasing and she has a cute design too. Her backstory gets more fleshed out in the manga and that really makes me like her more. I don't see her winning at all in the canon story so I'm really interested how her route is going to play out.
4. RizuĀ
At first, she was just the short socially awkward udon obsessed girl who I didn't mind reading. You could say I was neutral about her. But I've come to really like her aggressive side especially in the latter parts of the manga so much that, even though I don't think she has a chance, I can't help but root for her a bit harder. She's also such a pure character that I'm a bit sad her route is kind of a letdown. They literally needed to utilize supernatural elements to make her route work, not that it wasnāt funny but it just shows how unlikely it was for her to win.
5. Kirisu Sensei
I understand her role and appeal and her chapters are really funny. It's just weird to be thinking a student and teacher will actually get together though.
6. UrukaĀ
I don't hate her at all. She's very sweet and pure but compared to the others, she's the least fun to read. I actually think she is the best person to get together with Nariyuki but to quote from a discord user, "the problem with Uruka is that her relationship, the childhood friend, was pre-established and as such her relationship with Nariyuki didn't have much rising space."

Since you actually believe you can argue using the manga letās go back to
Your words: uHh i doNt seE why anyone would shiP IT
me: invalid argument, itās one of the most popular ships in history
you: TyPICAL SS, now LET ME HAVE A DICK MEASURING COMPETITION
i dont care whoās more popular dear youāll notice I called sns an otp, what I keep telling you is to hold both characters to an EQUAL standard..which you clearly fucking donāt like,, what joke.
Anyways, last sns bash of the day, mutuals scroll past
A respectable woman is a woman who knows what she is fighting for, sakura is a respectable woman, a narrative pushed multiple times by the story but AGAIN selective reading. It was made by kishimoto? I am no fucking weeb i am a person fluent in Japanese and I donāt need no subtitles but if youāre so hellbent on it then go listen to it yourself in the anime, episode 109, 19:01. ākoko ni iteā Koko= here ni= a japanese particle indicating place or direction, itte= stay, be koko ni itte= be here, stay here. Kissanime has the most accurate translations of part 1, I can say that as a person who owns the triple viz volumes 19 20 21 and most the viz volumes and the panel youāre using is page 395...part of their earlier days where they made translating mistakes like the Ino vs Sakura chapters and the bad job they did to my favourite series Ranma 1/2 as back in the day Viz was smaller and still not held to the standard of accuracy they are held to today. She says IKANAIDE , Ikemasu = go, naide= donāt. Ikanaide = donāt go. But sure, you know better than me a person whoās studied Japanese since age 7 and in fact has Japanese friends and relatives living there.Ā
馬鹿ćÆ馬é¹æć . Ā ä»ę¹ćē”ć
You really want to go objectively?
Whoās the character praised for selfless love by canon standards?
But you STILL donāt acknowledge both her and Naruto were doing the EXACT SAME THING. You calling her stupid but canon is here like knock knockĀ
I can list 3 other instances but iām on data so oops
AGAIN with your selective reading and bullshit logic. Yes he protected Naruto for OBVIOUS fucking reasons they were one of the strongest people FIGHTING A WORLD WAR, he protected Kakashi and Sakura too MULTIPLE TIMES I donāt care what kind of point you are trying to prove about sasuke but lmao ok ur such a fan. He was going to kill Naruto right afterwards do you realize what backwards logic you are using right now????Ā
Ā Had Sakura and kakashi fallen into the genjustu trap it would not have been a huge issue since the 2 people with the sage of six paths power and yin and yang release were what is needed to seal Kaguya. But even SO he saved them, and Naruto pointed out THAT HIS BODY MOVES ON ITāS OWN FOR THE PEOPLE HE CARES ABOUT. Sasuke was trying to come off heartless as he was immersing himself in darkness, this is nothing new to his character but you donāt know it do you
YOU ARE USING A FALSE TRANSLATION HONEY THAT IS NOT WHAT HE SAID
But okay, sasuke protecting them multiple times, warning them, looking out for them STILL doesnāt matter for your bullshit preceptionĀ
I donāt fucking know what point you are trying to argue since you canāt type
But it does not change the fact that sasuke had in fact made sure they were safe before saving Naruto so idk what point you getting at, you reaching for shit that is so far idk if you are getting it from your anus or uranus. The reasons for battle were stated THROUGH the manga in my post not some badly made sappy edit.
Sasuke attacked to attack he had shit to do with wanting to understand naruto, it was naruto who wanted to understand sasuke what the fuck are you ON
USE THEIR BATTLESĀ
i did use their battles fucker? I also used CONTEXT something you canāt for the life of you understand. 1st battle THEY WERE ABOUT TO KILL EACH OTHER OVER PETTINESS AND GOADING. 2nd he almost BURNED his ass to a crisp for interfering, then fought for the mangekyo..feelings were involved because they are BEST FRIENDS ofc they would be but the reason he stopped was because as he said TWICE to HIMSELF and to naruto was that killing his helpless best friend to obtain power was too much of an Itachi like thing to do, stop reaching itās PATHETIC admit the faults of your ship before attacking peoples views.
You really REALLY want to have this dick measuring competition of who sasuke cares about? He was willing to give up his revenge for BOTH because sasuke loves BOTH he is not a one dimensional shallow shit like you want him to be
AND AGAIN
All sakura got was a soRRY!!! she NEVER realized he was WRONGĀ
she HERSELF realizes the DEPTH of the situation and even tho heartbroken decides to kill him? but she could not because despite all she had hope for him?
Sasuke and Sakura have BOTH attacked each other, she went on to fight him when he STABBED HER TEAM CAPTAIN because she realizes he is wrong..him fighting back is abusive? okay lmao sorry i forgot naruto is a shoujo about fairy princesses, ninjas donāt fight here. If anything I respect that when they met as fighters they MET as FIGHTERS. And these were not her last moments, they were flashbacks that caused her resolve to falter because she had hope for sasuke
and sasukes last words would have been about him wanting to kill his brother, but he let it go because he would never let a comrade die in front of him, not after sharing memories together lmao reach further
cry me a river over the genjutsu scene that she woke up from the same way she wakes up from sleep, but remember this: while sasukes IMAGINARY hand went through her boob naruto got MUCH worse luck
But itās okay because he did not kill him when he was on the floor : ) despite having FULL intentions of doing so
I take it back. Let the boy speak WITH CONTEXT.
Nobody is trying to deny sasukeās lonely ass seeing another lonely kid Ā reaching out made him feel relieved and happy, that is a GOOD aspect about sns, but there is a bitch ass trying to deny his feelings for all of team 7.Ā āthats whyāĀ ādakaraā in Japanese, you canāt move that stone.
I own the sasuke shinden novel that ended with him going back once sakura triggered a flashback, and where in the anime the scene he is thinking about naruto is actually him thinking about hisĀ āfriendsā but you know what fucker? That novel, and sakuras shitty novel are NOT canon, they are not written by kishimoto. If you want to start considering this crap canon then you better consider this piece of garbage novel canon too. if you donāt, donāt try and argue with a filler novel. Canon sakura gave sasuke his space in 699 when he asked for it to come to terms with himself.
You mean sakura blushing? The thing a sane fucker would consider she is embarressed to tell her kid about her intimate relations with her dad? If i asked my mom such a thing her arab ass would slap me, get familiar with it: some cultures are conservative. Kishimoto said seeing naruh*ina kiss made him embarrassed so what you getting at. Sakura: never seen ur dad wear glasses lmao but he aint around so im not sure. Naruto: lol yea he never wore em.Ā
You: OH MY GOD HE KNOWS HIM SO WELL OH MY GODĀ
You: out of context panel saying they are connected by fate
Do you REALLY want to play that card? This card makes your house of cards blow 50 shades of destroyed.
You mean how they were chosen by fate as brothers to end the cycle of hatred started by Indra, Ashura and Kaguyas ninshuu ignoring ass?
CONTEXT motherfucker ever heard of it
when kiba asked why he did not take him down and it was revealed why through slight dispositions, best thing about eidetic memories is that you dont forget this shit
Sasuke felt the need to apologize to her and regain her as part of his life and you are discrediting the scene like it does not have 2 pages in the manga yet hold on to a blurry ass panel of him protecting naruto to save the world
Anyways lets finish this bullshittery with showing ON PANEL who sasuke cares about
What? Thought itād be only Naruto? Lol no I love canon sasuke enough to acknowledge all of his bonds. I am a sinner, guilty as charged shit sasuke cares about more than one person how awful.
Anways iād LOVE to see your next reach, use better manga panels next time I like mentally stimulating things not sad scrapes of dead argumentsĀ
P.S your abuse jokes are STILL fucking bullshit
never trust a str8 bitch

Todayās Anime Recommendation: Ranma 1/2
Most of you should have seen this one coming.. as yesterday was Inuyasha ;)
Well to start off.. I actually got into Ranma by accident. My aunt was looking for a birthday gift for me, and I had asked for Inuyasha and I had told her.. Rumiko Takahashi .. so when I opened my present and found this anime.. I was a little disappointed. Ā But.. I of course didnāt show it and I decided to give Ranma 1/2 a shot. & I am soooo glad I did. Action/Comedy/Romance/Martial Arts/Curses/plot twists/tons of new characters.. so much to love!
First off this anime is full of martial artists. Which that was pretty cool... I knew I could count on some great action.. Then of course there is the fun added fact of the Jusenkyo Spring curses...Cold water activates the curse.. Warm water turns ya back. Ā Now doesnāt that sound like it could lead to some fun situations? Well trust me... It does!!
With so many Springs of Drowned .. whatevers.. you would think they would have closed the place by now... How many people and critters have to drown.. before a place is deemed unsafe? lol
Ranma & Akane have been set up as Fiances to be married by their fathers.(Akanes two sisters thought she would be the best fit) Eldest sister Kasumi-sweet and carefree..and then there is Nabiki--Money scrounge.. Its all about the money with here.. lol Ā
Although they both deny it..Ranma and Akane slowly grow closer..they have a great Love-hate relationship. Follow Ranma on his quest to remove his curse (and others who come along that are also cursed) Donāt think it will be an easy task tho with so many love-rivals all vying for Ranmaās attention..and lets not forget the guys that Akane also has pining after her. Throw in a Panda cursed father.. who never should have been allowed to be alone with his son..(meow!..need I say more?)..a perverted panty stealing old man, a boy who is always lost, A delusional guy who thinks Kendo is Life, his equally delusional gymnastics sister, a doctor who becomes useless at the sight of his crush, and 2 foodies that will chase Ranma down til the ends of the earth. Ramen or Okonomiyaki anyone?
The characters are what really make up this anime. Each one is uniquely hilarious. And come on.. some of them are just things you would find in your bathroom.. Shampoo, Cologne, Mousse... Yep! ^_^ Ā More and more characters are introduced and all the shenanigans they get themselves into is a riot to watch. They make sure to throw in some cute moments as well that helps me Ship AkaneXRanma all the more!!
This is a nice long anime 143 episodes, a few movies, and 12 ovas.. WATCH THEM ALL!!! you wonāt regret it! Ā
Lets just say I loved this anime so much.. my almost 12 year old dog is named Akane-Chan! LOL
If I had to find 1 flaw with the anime.. it would have to be the fact that part way thru the english dub.. Ranma goes thru a voice change.. that of course has him sounding like Inuyasha lol (I got used to it.. but at first I was like.. Heyy wait a minute!) Ā (and I know that Ranma came first so really itās inuyasha that sounds like Ranma.. but I watched Inuyasha first.. so yea..) Ā ENJOY~!
