It’s that Byers family rizz. That kind of quirky, offbeat, maybe a little out there charm??? That underdog and low-key-kind-of-a-loser vibe??? The niche taste in music, thrifted clothes, shaggy haircut, and having to convince others that they’re not crazy energy??? Absolutely irresistible. It’s so funny that the Byers are canonically a weird and bullied, socially outcast family but that they all canonically have rizz 😭😭 Bc why is Jonathan pulling Nancy Wheeler??? Why does every girl who looks at Will want to kiss him??? Why is someone always talking Joyce on a date??? When you’re in a rizz competition and your opponent is the Byers family.

the speed that you moved, the screech of the car, the creature still moving, that slowed in your arms // the fear in its eyes, gone out in an instant, your tear caught the light, the earth from a distance

DC: one of the robins and one of of the superboys are bi!
Fans: Is it timkon?
DC: Close!
Fans: Is it damijon?
DC: ooh so close, it's actually Tim x Bernard Dowd and Jon x Jay Nakamura!
Fans: Who the fuck is-
DC: This is what you wanted right? :)
For the record I love Bernard & timbern so much, I don't know much about timkon so I don't really ship it and I don't know anything about Jay (I had to google his name to make this) but I'm glad there are actually confirmed gay people in something with such a huge fan base.
That being said why did they do it like that? The fans really wanted timkon and/or damijon so DC decided to go half and half and do that instead?

The "average Jojo appears in 2 animated parts" factoid is actualy just a statistical error. The average Jojo appears in a little over 1 animated part. Jotaro Kujo, who is Araki's favourite little boy and has appeared in 5/6 animated parts, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

I know we talked to you a lot at the beginning of the year about playing with Nate..you obviously had such great chemistry with him, knew where he was going to be back in the day. Seems like you guys are starting to find that a little bit again (...) just how is that coming with him? [x]

i truly would not be mad if nancy breaks up with jonathan and tells steve to move on. and for vickie to tell robin she’s not interested but is willing to be friends. so nancy and robin decide they need to hang out after a long day of heartbreak and throughout their convos of explaining everything that’s been going on, they realize they have feelings for each other. i truly would not be mad at that. in fact, that’s exactly what i want to happen 😌

In the scene where the boys are biking with Holly, I hope Mike and Holly start talking about El so that Holly can be like, “Will, why don’t you have a girlfriend?” and Will can be totally taken by surprise and give some slightly odd, contrived answer that Doesn’t Sound Quite Right so that the alarms can finally sound off in Mike Wheeler’s brain.

After catching up to recent episodes, I wanted to put my two cents in with Gwen and Jon's characterization since they both share similar vibes and not enough people talk about their differences.
First of all, Jon would never have done what Gwen did in the latest episode (ep 20). They both have a knack for pissing off Avatars/Externals, but even s1Jon wouldn't have mouthed off like that to one. Jon got beat up by Avatars for asking too many questions and not minding his own business (and for being Gertrude's successor), Gwen was just being blatantly antagonistic to a someone that literally kills people with tattoos because she got annoyed that they wouldn't sign her government form.
Second of all, Gwen isn't Eye-aligned like Jon was. Unlike Jon, she isn't curious. She doesn't ask questions or go looking for answers regarding the Externals. She does exactly what she's told, which is the exact opposite of how Jon operated. She's only interested in doing her job with the end goal of taking Lena's position, for whatever reason that might be.
And lastly, Gwen is selfish. While Gwen and Jon both wanted to be taken seriously in their line of work, Jon had given up that professionalism pretty quick when he realized people were getting hurt because of it. Even when he'd lost his humanity, he'd been terrified of putting anybody through the same terror he'd been through, to the point where he'd constantly put himself in harms way because of it. Jon was a stubborn idiot, but he cared deeply for other people. He never wanted others to get hurt, even when he wanted answers. (That's why he burned Gerry's page, after all.)
Gwen, on the other hand, isn't like that. When Gwen found out from FR3-DI that her boss had literally tried to murder someone that used to work here, her immediate response was to blackmail her to get a raise. She didn't warn her coworkers, she didn't even think of the risk to her own safety - just how it could benefit her. It's the same for when Gwen met with Bonzo and the other Externals. Even though Gwen found out what had happened to the people she'd sent Bonzo after, the fact that dozens of people died because of her involvement, she still didn't leave. She felt bad about it, sure, but it didn't stop her from continuing with it. Because for whatever reason, she wants that promotion so much that she's willing to let other people to die for it.
Gwen is not like Jon, who constantly sacrificed himself for others, nor like Gertrude Robinson, where the ends justified the brutal means. Unless there's some grand reason for it, a promotion isn't worth what she's doing. Gwen isn't heartless, but she is selfish.
She's not a monster just yet, but she is painfully human.

It is so funny how wildly different of a character Scarecrow was in his first appearance as compared to what he became.
The most obvious difference is that he did not have his fear toxin yet, but even more, Golden Age Scarecrow was never actually obsessed with fear to begin with. He was obsessed with books. His motivation for turning to crime was that he wanted his shitty colleagues to stop bulling him and the only way he perceived that to happen, was by if he had something that they respected – money. On top of that, he figured with the extra money he could buy more books. Fear was simply a tool to reach those goals, nothing more. It's not his specialty, he doesn't know about it any more than any other psychologist. He simply realizes one day that this is something that could get him what he's after.
And how he goes about it is so interesting in retrospect. We are used to seeing him be so clever with using fear, so imaginative, so delicate. He hardly so much as touches his victims, hardly uses anything more than his gas and a few suggestive words. That's all he needs as The Master of Fear, but that's just the thing – this Scarecrow was not The Master of Fear – he is a brute.
There's nothing clever, imaginative or delicate about what he does. He threatens people with guns, with his fists, with brute force. His big plan to scare away people at the department store was to throw a smoke bomb and start hitting things with a baseball bat, for crying out loud. There's a myriad of ways to scare people and he picked brute force. There's nothing smart about how goes about things. I think the only reason you remember him being smart is because he has the aesthetics of a smart character, he's thin, odd looking and wears glasses like all smart characters ever. His supposed intelligence is further ”proven” by giving him the fancy title of professor, but really when you look at it, anyone can figure out what he figured out, anyone can scare someone with a gun or a baseball bat. There's nothing smart about that, you don't need a degree for that. It was honestly a little bit dumb of him as a psychologist, that he couldn't think of anything better than that. Here he very much resembles the people he hates in later comics, the people who used brute force against him, his childhood bullies.
