my personal 911 lone star headcanons:

tk still regularly checks up on the kid who shot him in s1

tk carries around anything you could ever possibly need in an emergency in his lil backpack

paul and marjan go out to eat after every shift so that neither is alone if something heavy happens

jonah and carlos love watching bluey but tk gets bored too easily

carlos is the youngest kid out of all his siblings and cousins

tk has a group chat w carlos’s brother in laws

enzo keeps school projects and drawings from baby tk

tarlos and paul regularly went out to clubs every week before paul started dating asha. now they just do a double date

mateo and nancy are gods at karaoke and everyone in the bar love it when they show up

nancy and tk go to all of evie and izzy’s dance shows and karate competitions and any other kind of performance. evie and izzy get embarrassed by all the cheering and whistling but love the support. they also hate it sometimes tho cuz their friends think tk is hot

judd can only line dance. any other kind of dance he trips over his own feet

tk doesn’t let carlos wear the cowboy hat in the house

jonah falls in love w lou2 and he and tk gang up on carlos for another pet

I just had the cutest vision of a fic where Jonah learns what ‘married’ means (maybe school or someone else). Then he finds out that Carlos and TK are married and then gets sad that he wasn’t at their wedding and he makes them reenact it for him!

Jonah really is Tarlos' adopted son. He's got Carlos' Cow Eyes and TK's overjoyed grin to the silliest things. He's got a mischievous, sassy streak and he loves food. He does the TK bounce and he's up early in the morning. He's really got the Strand-Reyes (as Mateo would not say) spirit!

Carlos using the word “adopt” while at Gabriel’s grave is interesting

Adopting and becoming a child’s guardian/taking custody are not the same thing - adopting would imply that Enzo is losing or is willing to give up custody

When you go to prison you lose physical custody while in prison but unless your crimes are against your child/show you as a danger to children you don’t get your custody completely taken away from you and none of the crimes listed would indicate that Enzo should permanently lose custody

So (if we’re basing this off of irl and not it being a drama - cus it’s a show they may just strip him of custody for the drama) I’d imagine that means Enzo’s facing a long time in prison and he’s asked TK to not only take custody but adopt Jonah

Taking custody/guardianship would imply that Enzo would be in prison for x amount of years and then upon release, gradually be given custody back

Adopting Jonah would mean that Jonah’s is legally TK & Carlos’s child not Enzo’s even after his release

I wonder how they’ll navigate all that next episode

this is so late! i apologize 😭 this isn’t great but i will have something better for you all next week!!

“Should we take a look inside before we unload?”

“Yes!” The boy shouts happily, clapping his tiny hands together. The sound rings in TK ears before he swallows and sets Jonah down, not letting him far out of his reach. Before he locks the car, he grabs his camera from the trunk.

He doesn’t have much to protect it from getting ruined other than a simple plaid blanket, but he feels himself breathing easier when he sees no damage has been done to it. In one hand, his brother interlocks their fingers, in the other, he snaps a picture of the gated entrance.

A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF SENTENCES SUNDAY

This is a project I've been considering since we never got to see Mrs. Campbell and TK interact. What if the two families were forced to live together in a safe house for some time while Carlos and Sam fought the bad guys? It’s still in the early stages but here’s a snippet:

“Daddy?” The word makes TK grin behind his cup of coffee; it’s still new to him, and his heart flutters each time. 

He turns to Jonah, who is perched on a chair at the kitchen table, crumbs of peanut butter toast still clinging to the corners of his mouth.

“Yes, buddy?” TK replies, glancing toward the hallway as he hears Ashley knocking on her children’s doors.

“Can I play on the Switch?” Jonah asks, flashing his signature ‘Jonah’s cow eyes’—the look he learned from Carlos—and, just like his papá’s, Jonah’s expression wrecks him, maybe even more.

TK hums thoughtfully. It’s a school day, and Jonah would normally be in class in about an hour, but starting today, it falls to TK to teach him, even if it’s just the first day in the safe house.

“One hour. Then we have to study, okay?”

Jonah echoes TK’s hum, as if considering the proposal for a moment, his little face scrunching up in thought. Then his eyes light up, and he nods, leaping off the chair like a rocket.

He dashes toward their shared room, but not before slamming straight into Ashley’s legs, nearly toppling her over as she emerges from the hallway.

“Oh, Jonah, don’t run in the house. You could hurt yourself,” Ashley admonishes gently, a smile dancing on her lips.

Jonah resumes his run toward their room, now moving at a cautious pace. “Sorry, Mrs. Soup,” he apologizes, making TK snort into his cup.

As he wipes the spilled coffee, Ashley walks closer to him, tilting her head and crossing her arms. “Mrs. Soup?” she repeats, raising an unamused eyebrow.

“It’s TK. And who’s asking?”

The detective looks unimpressed. If TK didn't feel so harried he might've otherwise enjoyed the man’s attention. He's certainly his type: tall, tousled curls, dark lashes, smooth skin and a fit physique. That much is evident even with his suit pants, shirt, tie and jacket obscuring the view. He raises a hand to pull the jacket in question aside, flashing the badge at his hip. “Detective Reyes with the LAPD. We have some questions for you. It’s time sensitive.”

Jonah pulls at TK’s hand insistently, a silent plea to be held. Usually, he’d give him a soft chastise and tease him that he is getting too big to be carried. But today he relents, seeking his brother’s comfort just as much as he seeks his. He perches him on his hip and raises a single eyebrow, “Ask away.”

Detective Reyes’ eyes flit over to where Paul hovers in his neighbouring doorway, ready to jump in and help if need be, then down to Jonah who has tucked his face into TK’s chest. “We need you to come down to the station with us.”

Ok you kinda got me thinking about this. You can take best bets. I'm thinking the Breaking Bad theme song, except they're busting the bad guys; Club Penguin music; The Golden Girls intro with the Food Rangers, Wife Ash, and TK ft. Jonah; or a simple transition into the episodes with Tom and Jerry's theme.

Carlos wakes when his water glass lands on his face. “God – fucking – Beezus, go away!” he splutters at the dainty tortoiseshell cat who is now curiously sniffing his wet eyebrow. Realizing she’s successfully roused him, she purrs thunderously. “Why do you always have to be such an asshole?” he groans.

“Papa!” bellows Jonah, skidding into the bedroom in that way that always reminds Carlos of Kramer. “That’s a bad word.” Carlos holds a finger up to Jonah, breathing deliberately through his nose and gingerly laying his head on his damp pillow. His head is throbbing from the noise and excitement, and worryingly, the bed seems to be rocking back and forth. He really doesn’t want to throw up. It would freak Jonah out, and the time last night was excruciating enough, as fuzzy as the memory is. He just remembers every cell in his body screaming in agony as he cried in TK’s arms on the bathroom floor, his husband apologizing over and over for not being able to take away the pain, and the background noise of Ramon purring uproariously and licking the fuzzy bath mat. “Papa?” demands Jonah again, and Carlos tries to find words in his muddled head.

“Hey, Jojo,” TK rushes in behind Jonah, speaking in a register that doesn’t make Carlos’s ears bleed, unlike his brother. “Remember how Papa got hurt at work last night so we have to be very quiet and let him rest, so we don’t make his head hurt more?”

Jonah’s huge brown eyes grow somehow bigger. “Wait! Still?”

“Still–? Jonah, bud, we talked about it, like, a half hour ago.”

“Yeah and we had breakfast just you and me so he could rested! You are resting forEVER, Papa, does it still hurt?”
