The Afternoon Visit
Summary: When Sansa and her daughter fall sick with the stomach flu, her not-boyfriend surprises her with a special kind of visit. WC: 2.5k words Warnings: Modern AU. Stomach flu. So much fluff, you have no idea. Kids - cause those are a warning.
Sansa hated living in King’s Landing.
She hated it pretty much a couple of days after moving into it, and continued to hate it now, years later.
And, specially, she hated it since she became a mother.
Look, Sansa wanted to have a baby.
She always wanted to be a mother and always cared for her little siblings and hoped she could have her own kid some day. So, when she turned 25 and had the idea of freezing her eggs because her doctor said it was the best time, and she realised that she was stable enough to have a baby… she made a decision.
Sansa couldn’t wait until she found a man with whom she felt comfortable enough and trusted to have a life-long bond. After two and a half failed relationships - the half being Joffrey’s uncle, who she had attempted to go out with the month after breaking up with Harry, but didn’t let it become a relationship once she realised that older single men with PhDs were single for a reason - a lot of therapy and realising that she couldn’t both have a baby, her job and a partner, without one of those being compromised, she decided to have her baby on her own.
Three and a half months after freezing her eggs, she was in a doctors office and had semen she had purchased inserted into her womb. Her sister was right by her side - because she had heard of some doctor using his own semen to impregnate patients and wanted to make sure they were using the donor sample, which Arya didn’t tear her eyes from until it was inside of Sansa, making things very awkward - and once it was over, she went out to eat sushi, because, hopefully, it would be her last time eating it in at least a year.
Two weeks later, she had a positive pregnancy test, and a happy baby in her belly.
Serena Stark was born in King’s Landing.
Sansa wanted her to be born in Winterfell, but the idea of travelling up North while 9 months pregnant and then coming back with a newborn wasn’t very nice. So, her parents and Arya packed up and flew in, leaving Bran and Rickon with Robb in his home, and came to be present at the birth.
Serena was a big baby, with a big head. Sansa would know, her poor vagina took months to start feeling normal again - Arya still made fun of her for sitting on ice packs for the first month of post-partum.
But it was all worth it.
The nights of not sleeping, the faling asleep with a tit out while breastfeeding, the explosive diapers… everything made sense now that she had her daughter with her.
Having Serena, though, only made her hate King’s Landing more and long to go back to Winterfell. She wanted to show her daughter the snow, the castles, and how it felt to grow up around a loving family.
But the days she undoubtly hated King’s Landing the most was when one of them got sick.
When her baby was born, Sansa’s parents spent the first two months of her post-partum with them, helping her adapt to the new routine with a baby and with holsehold chores, but they had eventually left and she was all alone.
Now, her baby was a growing girl - three and a half - and Sansa was growing with her.
She was also ill after catching whatever stomach bug Serena had caught in her pre-school, and caring for a sick kid while also being sick wasn’t fun at all.
“Come on, baby,” she rubbed her back, trying to get her to eat the canned chicken noodle soup. “It’s good for you.”
Serena just whined into her neck, all fussy.
They had both barely eaten today, and Sansa really didn’t want her kid to be even more sick. Canned soup sucked, but what else could she even do?
A knock on the door made Sansa raised her head to look at it and frown in confusion. Who could it even be?
She adjusted Serena in her lap, and her daughter wrapped her legs around her waist as she dragged herself to check the security cameras outside.
“What?” she mumbled, confused.
It was Jon.
Jon Snow was Sansa’s… not-boyfriend. For the last three months they’d been going out and spending time together, and while she liked him very much, they had both agreed with taking things slow.
He had once passed her house to pick her up for an afternoon date, but had never met Serena because she didn’t want to introduce her baby to meet a man just for him to leave.
But he was right there at the door, carrying a big bag on his shoulder and waiting.
Sansa opened the door unsurely, trying to brush her hair back with her fingers after she undid all the locks she had put there so many years ago, to protect herself, still holding Serena.
He smiled brightly when she opened the door and then looked at the girl thrown all over her.
“Good afternoon,” he greeted her. “I hope this is not a bad time?”
Sansa hesitated a little.
“Well, it’s as not-bad as it can be,” she chuckled. “What are you doing here? I wasn’t expecting you.”
Jon quickly raised his bag.
“You told me you two were sick, so I bought some stuff that usually helps with stomach bugs,” he explained. “I thought you’d need it.”
Sansa relaxed, though surprised with the meaning of his visit as she gave him space to come in.
“Jon,” she sighed. “You didn’t have to.”
He scoffed, walking inside.
“As if I could ignore how you needed help right now,” he shook his head. “Where’s your kitchen?”
Sansa pointed the way, following him along, and Serena raised her head from her shoulder, finally outran by her curiosity as Jon set his bag on the counter.
“I mentioned to my neighbour that you were sick and she made you soup,” he told her, taking the container from inside. “It’s still warm, it’s why I didn’t show up earlier.”
Her daughter rubbed her eye with a pout.
“Who are you?” she mumbled.
Jon stopped, and they exchanged a couple of looks. He knew about Serena - and how she was Sansa’s child and Sansa’s only, no other man, woman or non-binary partner involved in her production or raising - from the get go, and was very respectful of her need of taking things slow because of Serena.
“Honey, this is Jon Snow,” she spoke after a minute of being stunned. “He’s my friend. Jon, this is Serena, my daughter.”
Her baby girl just waved at him before hiding her face in her neck again.
“Hello, Serena,” he spoke softly, anyway. “It’s nice to meet you.”
Her daughter just hugged Sansa closer, and she sighed, rubbing her back gently.
“I’m sorry, she is a little fussy,” she apologised. “We are both not feeling like our best selves.”
Jon smiled softly, and she watched as he pulled more things from his bags.
“Tell me, Serena, do you like pedialyte?” he asked.
Jon took four - four - bottles of pedialyte from inside his bag, and a couple of boxes of icepop pedialyte along with other light snacks.
Serena moved, curious again.
“I like blue raspberry,” she told him, and he showed her the blue bottle.
“I got it for you,” he told her. “And some fruits too. Your mother told me you like berries.”
She just nodded, and Sansa watched them, surprised.
“Do you want to have a little bit now?” he offered. “I can cut them up for you.”
Sansa looked down at Serena, and she nodded slowly.
“Okay. And you, Sansa?”
She looked back at him, and Jon was raising his eyebrows at her.
“Me?”
“I’ll put the soup in a bowl for you,” he told her. “You need to eat too.”
She looked down, a little embarrassed. With needing to care for Serena, she didn’t even remember to eat.
“Thank you,” she spoke softly.
He just nodded along.
“Sit a little,” he instructed her. “You two need to let your body rest. I can take care of this bit.”
She did, turning the TV on and put Bluey on and cuddling your girl as she sucked on her finger, watching the Australian show. They made it through a whole episode before Jon arrived in the living room with two bowls and a sippy cup, setting them down on the low table in front of the TV.
“Here you go,” he spoke gently. “And I got your blue rasberry punch, too.”
Serena eyed him with hesitance, and Sansa rubbed her back a little bit.
“Why don’t you drink a little sip?” she offered. “It’s in your favourite cup.”
Jon took the cup, and showed it to her with a little friendly smile, waiting quietly.
“You don’t have to drink it all,” he assured her.
Serena reached for him slowly, taking the sippy cup, and drank from it slowly as they watched her and the show played on the TV, still half attached to Sansa.
She put the cup down, and Jon picked it up before giving her the bowl, and she could see it had strawberries, blueberries, rasberries and grapes inside, all cut in a half for practical reasons and looking very yummy, and - to Sansa’s relief - her daughter also seemed interested in it, grabbing little pieces and eating slowly while still in her arms.
“Well done, honey,” she kissed her sweaty temple, quickly spitting out some of her hair.
Jon, now seated on the floor, looked up at her face.
“She looks like a little copy of you,” he chuckled.
Sansa smiled a little. Everyone always told her that. Serena had all her Tully features, with her red wavy hair and sky-blue eyes, just like all of her uncles did. Her mother’s genes were very strong.
Jon picked up the soup bowl, and Sansa grimaced a bit.
“I don’t think think I have enough free hands for that.”
He looked down at the bowl and grimaced, and she chuckled, but he quickly stood up with it.
“I’ll be back in a minute,” he told her.
Jon left for the the kichen and came back a couple of minutes later with a coffee mug and the bowl half empty.
“There you go,” he gave it to her. “One hand soup.”
Sansa giggled a little, feeling a bit more relaxed now.
“Let me know when you need the refil,” he told her, standing up. “If you don’t mind, I’m going to go wash the dishes now.”
Her eyes widened.
He was going to do what?
“What?” she asked, holding Serena close and putting the mug down. “Jon, no!”
He was quick to raise his hand, shaking it and he shook his head.
“Hey, I”m here to help,” he told her. “You two need to rest and hydrate and I can do a few chores while you do.”
She stared at him, not knowing what to say.
Aside from her family, no one had ever offered to help her like this.
“You don’t have to,” she told him. “You’ve already done a lot.”
He just gave her a smile.
“I want to do it,” he told her simply. “Don’t worry.”
He left back to the kichen, and Sansa could only stare on his way out before Serena poked her.
“Bluey, mummy,” she requested.
She sat back and pressed play on the TV show, reaching for her soup and drinking it. It was very nice, almost like her mother’s soup.
Her daughter watched the show as she ate, but Sansa couldn’t quite focused on the show, seeing Jon as he cleaned up her kichen, not seeming bothered at the least with the work.
Serena finished eating, and drank her pedialyte quietly before curling against Sansa, all sleepy, and she just held her close, grateful that she was finally resting. Their morning had been exhausting, to say the least.
She didn’t even notice she had dozed off herself until she felt something over her, and opened ther eyes, startled, to find Jon covering the two of them with a blanket.
“It’s alright,” he assured her. “Just me.”
Sansa smiled a little, yawning, and Jon pushed her hair back.
“I took the liberty of doing the laundry,” he whispered. “And it’s drying now.”
She flushed, a little embarrassed, but feeling something else too.
Jon was the sweetest man she had ever gone out with, and probably the sweetest man she had ever met.
She didn’t know a single man who would go out of his way like this just to get food and medicine to her, and even less do her dishes and her laundry.
“I’m making dinner for you,” he told her. “Some smash potatoes and turkey, nothing big.”
Sansa moved a hand to her face. God, she probably looked like such a mess right now.
“Jon, you didn’t have to,” she repeated. “I don’t even know what to say!”
He smiled, and pressed a kiss to her temple.
“Just focus on getting better,” he said simply. “Eat, and make sure this pretty lady eats too. If she’s anything like me, she is going to love the icepops so much she’ll eat three or four of them at once if you let her, but I’m sure you know when to give them.”
She nodded a little. Yes, her doctor had given her some instructions about that.
“Have some too,” he instructed. “And rest. I can have lunch delivered tomorrow if you want to, or…”
He hesitated, and she looked into his eyes, a little eager now.
“Or?”
Jon flushed a bit.
“I could come too?” he asked.
Sansa’s cheeks felt hot.
“I’m sick,” she reminded him. “I don’t want you to catch it.”
His lips curled in a little smile.
“It’s alright,” he assured her. “Don’t worry about that.”
Sansa watched his eyes for a moment and bit her lower lip.
“You could come,” she agreed. “If you want to, of course. I’m sure Serena will be a little nicer to talk to too.”
Jon grined, looking a little happy, and scratched the back of his neck.
“Would you mind if I brought her some you?” he asked. “I saw this wolf plush, I didn’t know if you would be okay if I did.”
Her eyes widened a bit.
“You can,” she agreed quickly. “I’m sure she will love it. She loves plushies.”
Jon nodded, and stood a little straighter.
“Okay,” he nodded. “I’ll go check the potatoes now. You go rest.”
He walked back with a little smile on his lips, and she watched him go, surprised, and looked down at Serena.
She had been worried about introducing him to her daughter for so long because she was afraid he would be just like all of the other men she had tried to date in her life, but Jon was different.
He was… special. In the best of ways.

From Beyond The Wall
Part 1
The wind begins to howl mournfully, swirling snowflakes dancing in the air like lost spirits. The mountain remained still as night began to fall, leaving the brothers of the nights watch in the darkness of the north.
The fire crackles weakly, struggling against the encroaching cold, casting long shadows that flicker and dance across the frozen ground.
"Can you feel it, Jon?" one brother mutters, his teeth chattering as he huddles closer to the feeble warmth.
"A storm's coming. I can smell it in the air." Jon, his cloak pulled tight around him, nods solemnly. "Aye, a blizzard's upon us. We'll need to find better shelter if we're to survive the night."
In the cover of darkness beyond the glow of the fire, Y/n and her group lurk like shadows, their breath forming wisps of vapor in the frigid air. Ygritte, her fiery hair barely visible in the dim light, leans in close to Y/n, her voice barely above a whisper.
"We strike now, while they're weak and unprepared," she says, her blue eyes gleaming with determination. "We'll catch them by surprise, before the blizzard engulfs us all."
Y/n nods, her fingers tightening around the reins of her white horse, its breath steaming in the cold night air. "Agreed. Move on my signal.”
Y/n continue to watch in silence, glancing between the brothers and the free folk. She nodded to Ygritte, grasping her bow from the leather pouch. Y/n and her group emerge from the darkness, the crunch of snow beneath their boots muffled by the howling wind.
The brothers of the Night's Watch startle at the sudden onslaught, scrambling for their weapons as Y/n's group descends upon them like a winter storm unleashed.
"Take no prisoners!" Ygritte's voice rings out above the chaos, her bow singing as she looses arrow after arrow into the heart of the fray. the blizzard finally descends in full force, swallowing the scene in a swirling white blanket of snow and ice.
After a few minutes of the bloody onslaught Jon realizes his efforts were pointless as he is now surrounded.
Confused and heaving out heavy breaths he looks around to grasp his situation. He pauses mid turn at the sight of Y/n dismounting her horse gracefully, still holding her bow.
“Hold.” she raises her hand, signaling for them to hold their fire. The clash of swords and the cries of men fade into the background as Jon's gaze meets hers, his eyes locked on her figure clad in a fur cloak and a dress as white as the snow.
She approaches Jon with purpose, her footsteps leaving shallow imprints in the fresh snow. The wind tugs at her cloak, sending strands of hair swirling around her face like tendrils of shadow.
“Who are you?” he mumbles out, trying to find the words. He raises his hands slowly, his eyes flicking between Y/n and the members of her group surrounding him.
Y/n's lips curl into a confident smile as she keeps her arrow trained on Jon. "I am Y/n, Princess of the Free Folk," she declares, her voice ringing out clear despite the howling wind.
Jon's eyes widen in surprise at her proclamation, a flicker of realization dawning in his expression. He lowers his hands slowly, his gaze never leaving Y/n's face. "Princess of the Free Folk," he repeats, as if testing the words on his tongue.
Y/n nods, her grip tightening on her bow. "Indeed. And now, I command you to throw down your weapon and stand," she orders, her voice leaving no room for argument.
Jon hesitates for a moment, his gaze darting between Y/n and the looming figures of her group. But then, with a resigned sigh, he unclasps his sword belt and lets it fall to the ground with a heavy thud.
He stands tall, meeting Y/n's gaze, she studies Jon Snow intently as he stands before her, his demeanor composed despite the circumstances. "And who are you, truly?" Y/n asks, her voice softened but still firm.
Jon's gaze remains fixed on her, his expression unreadable behind the mask of snowflakes that cling to his beard. "I am Jon Snow, a brother of the Night's Watch," he replies. A laugh escapes her at the name. “Mhmm snow. You’re a Stark. Ned Starks bastard son.”
Hearing her call his name and addressing him as a Stark made his heart skip a beat. Yet he remained cautious, seeing how easily the wildings obeyed her. “I am…How did you know?” he asked, as he slowly took a step back.
“It’s not me who knows, its my brother. what business does the Night's Watch have this far beyond the Wall? Us wildings? White walkers?” He nods to both causing her to sigh.
Y/n turns to her companions, her gaze sweeping over them with authority. "Tie him up. We're bringing him home," she commands, her voice firm and resolute.
He is stunned by her order, his body freezes still where he stands. The wildlings nod in silent acknowledgment, swiftly moving to obey Y/n's orders.
They bind Jon Snow's hands tightly with rope, ensuring he poses no immediate threat as they prepare to escort him back to their camp.
Y/n's eyes then find Ygritte, who stands nearby, her bow at the ready. "Ygritte, you'll watch him from now on," Y/n instructs, her voice carrying a note of trust.
"Make sure he doesn't try anything foolish." They hand the rope to Ygritte, who accepts it with a nod of gratitude.
With a swift motion, she mounts her horse, her cloak billowing behind her like a banner of authority. As she settles into the saddle, her eyes meet Jon's, and there's a flicker of something unspoken between them, a tension that crackles in the frigid air like lightning.
"Let's go," she commands, her voice cutting through the howling wind. "We have to make it back before dawn."
Jon's heart races as he watches her, his breath catching in his throat at the sight of her. A sudden chill runs through his back, he struggles against his restraints, approaching your horse slowly. “You really won’t say anything, huh? Just going to tie me up and drag me with you.”
Y/n meets his gaze, a spark of mischief dancing in her eyes. “That’s how I like my men, Snow.” She stated with a devious grin. A cold look appears on his face immediately realizing what she meant by those words. Yet all he can do is be silent and follow behind you, keeping up as his body is pushed every which way by the pelting snow.
…
They finally reach the Wildling camp, Y/n dismounts her horse with a graceful ease and gives her horse a gentle pat on the neck, murmuring words of gratitude as she glances toward the towering big tent that serves as the heart of their encampment.
The women of the camp emerged from their makeshift shelters, their laughter and chatter filling the air as they danced with their children under the fading light of the day.
Giants lumbered about, their massive forms silhouetted against the twilight sky as they worked alongside the Free Folk, tending to the needs of the camp with quiet efficiency.
With a nod to Ygritte, who stands by Jon Snow's side with a watchful gaze, Y/n orders, "Bring the crow with you." she takes hold of Jon's arm, guiding him towards the tent alongside her.
Pushing open the flap of the tent, Y/n steps inside, the warmth of the fire within enveloping her like a comforting embrace.
Ygritte and Jon enter behind her, Y/n's gaze sweeps over the assembled group, taking in the familiar faces of her companions, as well as the curious glances directed towards their captive.
“Oh dear brother. I have a gift.” Mance, ever the troubadour, sat in a corner, his fingers strumming a haunting melody on his lute, the notes drifting through the air like whispers on the wind, weaving a tale of a Dornish woman's forbidden love.
He departs from his pregnant wife’s side. "What's this?" he asked, his gaze sweeping over Ygritte, Rattleshirt, and the newcomer with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. "A crow?"
“Ygritte found the crow, Jon Snow, the bastard of Winterfell!” she introduced. “Release him.” With a collective nod, Ygritte moves to obey, her hands deftly untying the ropes that bind Jon's wrists before pushing him forward.
Mance's piercing blue eyes fix on Jon, assessing him with a shrewd intensity. "A crow," he remarks, his voice low and measured. "What brings you so far beyond your Wall?"
Jon meets Mance's gaze with a steady stare, his jaw set with determination. "I seek answers," he replies, his voice steady despite the weight of his words. "Answers about the darkness that threatens to engulf us all."
Mance nods thoughtfully, his expression unreadable. "And what answers do you hope to find here, among the Free Folk?"
Jon's gaze flickers with resolve as he speaks. "I seek allies," he declares, his voice ringing out clear and strong. "Allies in the fight against the true enemy, the Night King and his army of the dead."
A murmur ripples through the gathered Wildlings at Jon's words, their faces reflecting a mixture of skepticism and curiosity. Mance, however, remains impassive, his gaze fixed on Jon with a calculating intensity.
"Allies," he repeats, his voice echoing in the tense silence of the tent. "The Night's Watch and the Free Folk, united against a common foe. A bold proposition, Jon Snow. But one that may yet prove to be our salvation."
…
The conversation with Mance concludes and the orders are given, Y/n watches as Ygritte leads Jon Snow and his direwolf away from the tent.
With a heavy sigh, Y/n turns away, her steps leading her back to her own tent. She sheds her fur cloak with a weary grace, allowing it to fall to the ground as she settles onto the floor, her legs crossed beneath her.
Closing her eyes, Y/n takes a deep breath, centering herself before allowing her mind to drift into the depths of warging. As her consciousness expands, she feels the pull of the nearby animals, their instincts calling out to her in the darkness.
With a gentle push, Y/n's spirit leaves her body, merging with that of a nearby fox. She feels the rush of freedom as she darts through the snow-covered landscape, her senses heightened by the wildness of her new form.
She approaches the bodies of the fallen Black Brothers, a sudden movement jolts her back to reality. The fox springs back in fear, its eyes locking with those of a figure rising from the snow.
Y/n's heart pounds in her chest as she stares into the ice-blue eyes of the reanimated corpse. The corpse lunges forward as it reaches out with cold dead hands.
With a burst of speed, the fox races southward, its breath coming in ragged gasps as it flees from the looming threat. Y/n's eyes snap open abruptly, her breath coming out raggedly as she sits up. She dons her fur cloak once more, the fabric billowing around her like a protective barrier against the biting cold.
Rushing from her tent, Y/n heads straight for Mance, her footsteps quick and purposeful in the snow. She finds him surrounded by his advisors, deep in conversation about their next move. "Mance, we need to leave now," Y/n declares, her voice urgent as she approaches him.
Mance turns to her, his brow furrowed in confusion. "We've just arrived at our camp. Surely we can afford to rest for a while."
But Y/n shakes her head adamantly, her eyes flashing with determination. "No, Mance. We can't afford to stay here any longer, thinking about Dalla" she insists, her voice unwavering.
Mance studies her for a moment, weighing her words carefully. But then, with a resigned sigh, he nods in reluctant agreement. "Very well, Y/n," he concedes, "We'll leave in a few days."
…
Y/n stood before the gathered clans, her hair blowing in the biting gusts as she surveyed the uneasy faces staring back at her.
"As you know, the white walkers arise once more from the dead," she called out, her voice carrying over the murmurs that rippled through the crowd. "As your Princess, I swear to lead you safely to the Wall."
She continued, her tone firm, "My brother has brought together the Free Folk like no one has before." Gesturing to Mance, who stood with his wife behind her, she emphasized, "But winter is coming—the harshest in memory. The dead will rise to join the White Walkers' army. They will not wait for spring!"
The truth of her words sank in among the Free Folk, glances exchanged as the severity of the situation settled upon them. Mance stepped forward, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword.
"The princess speaks true," he declared, his voice carrying authority. "The Wall is our only refuge against the storm. We must begin the march at once... before it is too late."
Agreement murmured through the clans, and Y/n nodded gratefully to Mance. Drawing her furs tighter against the cold, she caught sight of Jon Snow, his gaze meeting hers for a fleeting moment before flickering away.
…
In the wake of her stirring speech, preparations for the journey to the Wall began in earnest. The clans bustled with activity, packing supplies, sharpening weapons, and tending to their families in anticipation of the arduous trek ahead.
The moon hung low in the sky, casting its silvery light over the rugged landscape, and the distant howls of wolves echoed through the valleys.
It was there, in the quiet stillness of the night, that Y/n encountered her brother's pregnant wife once more. She stood alone, her silhouette outlined against the moonlit horizon, a solitary figure in the darkness.
"Are you all right?" Y/n asked softly as she turned to face her, her expression unreadable in the dim light. Y/n walked closer to where she was standing, her boots crunching on the frozen ground. "I'm fine," she replied curtly.
Y/n studied her for a moment, sensing the weight of her burden in the lines of her face and the tension in her shoulders. There was a distance between them, a chasm that seemed insurmountable.
"I wanted to thank you," Y/n said earnestly, breaking the silence that hung heavy between them. "For standing with me back there. Your support means more to me than you know."
Her gaze softened, a flicker of warmth in the depths of her eyes. "You don't have to thank me," she replied, her voice gentle. "We're in this together, whether we like it or not." There was a moment of quiet understanding between them as they stood together beneath the starlit sky.
…

Ice & Fire ༄ Pt. 5
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Bran Stark × Targaryen oc fanfic
Chapter 5 ⋇ The Harvest ⋇
Tsireya’s POV
We received the news that Robb has proclaimed himself to be the King of the North. This now meant that Bran was a Prince. Now he had to carry on the duties as not only a lord but a Prince. He had to listen to the concerns and requests of his people. We didn’t have as much time to spend together anymore. I still stayed by his side every meeting, I knew it made him feel better.
It was mostly at night in one of our bedchambers where we were actually able to speak completely alone.
I started to sing in Valyrian as I held my egg close to the fireplace. I felt it deep in bones that the egg was pleased by it.
“Will it hatch?” Bran asked.
“I’m not sure,” I respond honestly. “Sometimes they never do. This egg must be over a hundred years old..” That made me sad.
“Gaoman daor jaelagon ziry. (I don’t want it)” Bran said. “Nyke dōrī jeldan naejot sagon iā dārilaros. Jaelan naejot sagon iā azantys, iā nēdenka se kostōba azantys. (I never wanted to be a Prince. I want to be a knight, a brave and strong knight)”
I gently place my egg back into the chest and walk up to Bran.
“Iksā kostōba, sesīr tolī tolvie run bona ēza massitas, iksā iēdrosa kesīr, (You are strong, even after everything that has happened, you are still here)” I tell him, holding his hands. “My strong Prince.”
His cheeks become red, “I don’t know what I’d do without you. I want you to be by my side during the feast tomorrow okay?”
The next day…
Osha helps me get ready for the feast. I decided to go with a beautiful blue dress. For my hair, I went with the same hairstyle I had when the King came to Winterfell, my favorite.
“You look beautiful, Princess,” she said.
“Thank you,” I replied, smiling. Bran and I really warmed up to Osha and her to us. “But why call me Princess?”
“Aren’t you and the little Prince going to get married one day?”
“N-No!”
“Well you are a Targaryen anyway, you are still a princess to me.”
“We should get going,” I tell her. “Don’t want to miss Bran coming through the doors.”
Osha and I make our way to the Great Hall for the feast and find our seats. My seat was to the left of Bran and next to me was Ser Rodrick and his daughter. We all stand up as Bran trotted in with Dancer.
Dancer was draped in bardings of snowy white wool emblazoned with the grey direwolf of House Stark, while Bran wore grey breeches and white doublet, his sleeves and collar trimmed with vair. (A Clash of Kings: Bran II)
Wow, he looked like a true prince, I thought to myself. The thought of me being his princess by his side made me blush a little.
The men sitting on the benches began to cheer. “Stark! Winterfell! Winterfell!”
Bran seemed to be sad and a little embarrassed. Once he was done with his entrance, Hodor lifted him off of Dancer and he made his way to his seat. Once he sat down, everyone else did.
“You look good.” He whispered to me.
“So do you,” I tell him. “Like a Prince.”
Rickon began to complain to Bran, “I wanted to ride too! I’m much better than you.”
“Hush up,” Bran whispered back. He cleared his throat and welcomed everyone in the name of the King of the North, Robb. “We thank the old gods and new for our King’s victories and this harvest! And may we have hundreds more!” He announces, raising his father’s goblet. We all cheer and raise ours. Ser Rodrick and Maester Luwin praise him and tell him that his father would be proud.
I’ve never seen so much food before I didn’t know what to eat! I decided to eat the sea food that came from White Harbor. Bran was only able to eat about a few dishes that were offered to him. After that, he couldn’t eat any further. I requested Bran to feed the left overs to our servants and the poor small folk . He thought it was a great idea, “you would be a good ruler.” Bran sent different dishes to the fellow houses of the North. He also sent sweets to Hodor and Old Nan. Bran seemed to be enjoying himself, seeing him happy made me smile. We deserve this…we have been through so much.
Then we both noticed how crazier the harvest got. The men were getting even more drunk. The music couldn’t even be heard due to the uproar in the hall. It was getting more hot as well. We didn’t even have to tell each other that we wanted to leave, we just both knew what we were thinking.
Bran’s POV
I look around the room, remembering what this very hall looked like when King Robert was here. Everyone was happier. The whole family was here. And now…they are gone. I wanted to cry right then and there. But I didn’t want to look like a baby, not in front of Tsireya especially. I am 11 years old, a man now. I can’t cry, men don’t cry.
“You’re not eating?” Ser Rodrick asked me.
“I can’t eat anymore,” I reply. “My stomach might burst.”
I began to get more impatient, “when will the harvest be over?”
“Just a little longer, my Prince.” Maester Luwin answered.
Tsireya’s POV
Suddenly, the doors open and walk in two new guests. Lady Meera Reed of House Reed and her brother Jojen Reed of Greywater Watch. They pledged their loyalty to Bran and House Stark. He thanked and welcomed them. They were hardly taller than me and Bran. Jojen looks over at me for a moment, “hello, princess Tsireya.” His eyes were the color of moss and his teeth were quite white, he was handsome. I look away shyly and smile, “hello..” Bran looked from me to Jojen.
It was time for everyone to dance. Bran asked me if I would be his partner, of course I accepted. He took my hand and we both walked to the middle of the hall, everyone’s eyes were on us. We lead the dance and everyone watched as we did our choreography.
The moment felt quite magical for me, like I was in a fairy tale.
Bran twirled me, lifted me up, and gently placed me down. We both bowed, signaling for everyone else to join the dance floor. Everyone copied the same steps as we did and everyone switched partners after finishing each time. After spinning to my next partner, I notice that it’s Jojen and we dance. “You are a great dancer my princess,” he said, making me blush. “Thank you, but you don’t have to call me that.”
“Why not? You are a princess aren’t you?”
“No, not anymore at least.”
“You are a Targaryen, a dragon…one of the rightful heirs to the iron throne that was taken from you…you will take what was yours.”
“I’m sorry I don’t think I…”
“You are more important in this than you think, you and Bran both…”
Before I knew it, the dancing was over and it was time for everyone to leave. “It was nice dancing with you,” he bowed.
We were now a foursome. Me, Bran, and the Reeds. They truly made great company. Though, at times I think Jojen made Bran mad. He always asked him about his dreams which frightened him. We soon found out that Bran was a warg, someone that can enter the minds of animals. In his dreams, he’s entered the mind of Summer a few times.
Everything was going so well, but like always something bad must happen. I never would have thought it to be Theon to take over Winterfell, but it was. Maester Luwin and I help Bran put on his clothes. “He wants me to yield the caslte!” He said.
“There is no shame in that,” Luwin said. “A Prince would do anything he can to protect his people.”
We all gather outside, in the courtyard. Theon promised Bran if he yielded, no one would get hurt. Bran announces that the castle now belongs to Prince Theon now. As expected, the people were against this. See Rodrick stepped up against Theon and was beaten for it. To all of our shock, Theon announced for him to be sentenced to death!
“Stop, you said no harm would come if I yielded!” Bran cried.
“The old man couldn’t keep his mouth shut!” He yelled.
Theon has truly gone mad. He ignored our pleads for him to be spared, slicing his head off. We couldn’t hold back our tears. Just when everything was going happily, no matter what happens something will come back to bite us…
We knew that Theon was going to kill us, so we had to leave. Overnight, we packed all of our belongings and snuck into the crypts. Me, Bran, Osha, Rickon, the direwolves, and the Reeds. After warging into Summer, Bran said he saw Winterfell burnt and destroyed, so we left the crypts to check it out. He was right…everything. Gone. We found Maester Luwin in the gods wood laying against the sacred tree. He was dying. We said our final goodbyes and left. Osha decided to go her separate ways and took Rickon and Shaggydog with her. To the Eastgate and follow the kingsroad. The rest of us were going to the hunter’s gate. I wasn’t ready to see them go…what if we don’t ever see them again…

Snow on the Beach - a Jonsa story
I’m back from a long writing break and trying to jump back in with a little short story! I may be a little rusty but hopefully I work out those kinks soon. Enjoy my little story inspired by Taylor Swift’s Snow on the Beach and by the crazy weather we’ve been having here this weekend.
Snow on the Beach excerpt:
“It’s so beautiful! Super weird. But so beautiful,” Sansa mused.
They made their way toward the water, stopping when they reached the end of the hail-covered sand with the waves licking at the edge. Another group of surfers were nearby, their boards discarded as a few were trying to make snowballs to throw at each other while another was attempting a snow angel. Elsewhere, a little girl and her dad were building a very tiny snowman.
Jon watched Sansa take it all in like it was pure magic to her. All he wanted to do was take her in his arms, warm her and hold her as they basked in their surroundings. A bolt of electricity ran through him when her hand accidentally brushed against the back of his. He glanced her way out of the corner of his eye but she obviously didn’t seem to notice the touch. Instead, Sansa backed away.

Stark's Apothecary & Supernatural Emporium
Chapter 1: The Sisters Stark
Like everyone else in the world, Jon Snow knows that magic exists. Not believing in magic would be like denying the existence of clouds. He hasn't really ever spent much time in a magical community before moving to White Harbor, though.
Fortunately for him, though, he manages to find his way into Stark's Apothecary & Supernatural Emporium on the recommendation of his friend Sam, who swears by their brewing quality. He's expecting weird things in glass jars on the shelves. What he isn't expecting is the Stark sisters.
It's easy enough to fall into a fast friendship with Arya. One of these days, he's even going to figure out how to hold a conversation with her sister without tripping over his own feet.

⭑ Colder than snow ⭑
Masterlist
Pairing: Robb Stark x Greyjoy!Bsf!Reader
A/N: Lost the ask so can't tag the person who requested it. Also I love Catelyn but in this fic she is a little mean.
Request: Yes
Summary: Growing up in Winterfell as a hostage was difficult, luckily Robb took you in but years later your friendship threatens to break when tensions rise and you have been planned to send away.
Warnings: Fluff and Angst. Heated arguments. Making out and angry Robb.
Word count: 1.8k
Growing up in Winterfell with your half brother Theon was hard on a little girl’s mind. Being a year younger than Theon meant he always told you what to do, you had a close bond with him, despite him acting like a cunt sometimes but he cared for you. As the bastard daughter of Balon Greyjoy you were captured along with Theon by the Starks. Sadly both Sansa and Arya wanted nothing to do with you.
But when you first met Robb he was kind, well mannered and handsome. He took you and Theon in and made sure you were treated well. This obviously made you develop certain affections for him. Of course you knew he was to marry a high born lady, as he was to inherit Winterfell. You always thought he had no interest in you, oh how wrong you were. Most people of Winterfell still didn’t see you as part of them but Robb saw you differently. You were the most beautiful girl he had ever met, and an even more courageous and humorous personality. He had always felt captivated by you.
Born from salt and sea even though your mother was a servant at Pyke he still thought highly of you. For years you had to prove your worth, so you trained with the sword, practised bow and arrow and rode a horse like no other man in Winterfell. As time passed the two of you grew very close, attached at the hip and unable to separate, you were the best of friends.
Snowflakes cluttered your hair, boots cracked the snow underneath your feet as you made your way to the godswood. Lately Theon had been acting even worse than usual and he started to get on your nerves. Sometimes you could strangle him. Not only that, but Catelyn Stark had been colder to you than ever. You could relate to Jon on that matter but he never really wanted to talk to you about it, preferring you as a sparring partner and keeping to polite greetings. You heard the whispers around Winterfell, Catelyn Stark was seeking to marry you off.
She had never liked you, or Theon, but at least he served purpose as squire and could become a knight one day. But what purpose did you have? In truth she was afraid, afraid of the way Robb, her favourite son, looked at you. She needed you to leave, so she could find a proper match for the future Warden of the North. A Greyjoy as the Lady of Winterfell? The very daughter of the man who rebelled against her family? She couldn’t think of anything worse. But whispers travelled by wind and anyone who went outside could catch them.
You stared up at the bright red leaves of the tree, your people, or former people, might’ve believed in the Drowned God but you were pulled in as a little girl by the Old Gods. You found solace in them, and in the Godswood. It was always so peaceful, so quiet. You didn’t feel like a burden here. You felt annoyed and angry at everyone. Robb has been busy lately, leaving with his father to visit other houses in the north. Or visiting the Wall. Loneliness wasn’t a thing you were used to. And missed Yara, she always defended you, spoke up for you. The big sister you needed. But you hadn’t seen her in years.
And lately, loneliness was the only thing you felt. Deep in thought, the cracking of snow didn’t reach your ears until he stood right behind you. “You weren’t in the training yard, or at the gates to greet me like usual.” Robb’s low and honeyed voice spoke up. He was honestly the last person you wanted to see right now. You felt overstimulated and stuck in a routine of worrying, anxiety and more worrying. “What are you trying to say?” You didn’t even face him while answering. “That something is off about you, we have been off.” He said as he walked in front of you. If you weren’t going to turn to him, he would turn to you.
“You look upset. What’s wrong?” Robb continued. Although you were clearly not in the mood to talk. “I wish you had never befriended me.” The words left your mouth before you could stop yourself. “I’m sorry?” Robb asked, a breathy chuckle escaping his lips. He was very confused. Clearly he had no clue about his mother’s plans. “Are you really this thick? You have no clue what is happening do you?” You finally looked him in the eye. Tears welling as you took in his beautiful face. He had been growing his beard lately and he looked even more handsome, more grown, more suited to be married off to anyone but you.
“I- No what? I just came back from Karhold. My father wanted to speak personally to Rickard Karstark about the renovations there I- I don’t know what is happening.” He sounded so confused and so worried. “Well maybe ask your mother, since she is behind all this.” You snapped. Did he just not care? Of course not, you were just a friend, nothing more. “My mother? What the fuck are you talking about?” He was growing more upset by the minute. “She wants me gone, I don’t know why. Maybe she just doesn’t like me. She probably never has.” You looked back at the huge tree in front of you.
Robb stepped closer, grabbing your arm. You pulled away. If you had to leave, you would leave as distant as possible from him. It would hurt less, hopefully. “I didn’t have to take you in, I didn’t have to befriend you but it just happened. How could you possibly hate me for that? After all I’ve done for you!” His voice got louder each word he spoke, he grew angry at your behaviour. How was this his fault?
“Well you shouldn’t have! It would make leaving less painful!” You yelled back. “Don’t do this, don’t rush into goodbyes when I haven’t even spoken to my mother yet. Let alone my father. He would never just turn you away! You know he has a soft spot for you. Please, don’t give up.” He begged, Robb Stark never begged. But he would beg for you, he would do anything to keep you at his side. You didn’t say anything. Robb sighed and left you to your thoughts. Apparently the first thing he would be doing back at Winterfell would be picking a fight with his mother.
Lady Stark was sowing a beautiful red leaf pattern on one of Rickon’s shirts. Arya and Sansa at both her sides, trying to mimic her movements on their own pieces of fabric. Since tensions had risen at Winterfell, Catelyn thought it would be good to spend some time with her daughters to distract her from all the ruckus. But the peace was soon disturbed when her eldest son burst open the door. She knew why he was here, and she dreaded the conversation to come.
“Leave. Both of you.” His voice was cold and demanding. He sounded like his father. Both the girls dumped the fabric on the table and hurriedly left the room. When the door closed behind them only then did he speak again. “What is this I hear about marrying her off.” Catelyn sighed and put the shirt down on her lap. “Robb. Please, it would be best for the girl. She is getting older and has no place here.” She began but got cut off by Robb’s booming voice. “She has a place! By my side! The place where she has always been and where she always will be!” Catelyn knew she would get a reaction from him, but him starting to admit that he wanted her to be by his side? Always? Was new. “I might not have seen before but you have woken me up from this woolly dream. It is her. It always has been her. And she will stay by my side.” Robb didn’t even give his mother a chance to speak when he already turned on his heel and left the room.
Hours went by but Robb could not find you. He had now even sent men out and spoke to his father about his worries. He needed to speak to you, to confess his love. Before it was too late. Panic grew as the men returned at the hour of the bat, still no sign of you. Where could you have gone? Where could you have so easily disappeared? Where the fuck where y- Of course, how did he not think of it. When you were children you found this little shed, overgrown by nature and well hidden but he still knew the markings on the trees to follow. It was the only place where you could’ve gone.
Leaving with just Grey Wind and a lantern. Holding one of your tunics, Grey Wind followed the exact path you took as children to your secret hide out. He was right. He could see the place had been disturbed but still well hidden and unbeknownst to his men. Grey Wind sat outside as he stepped foot into the shed. There you were, sat in the corner with some books stolen from Winterfell’s library. “Don’t ever scare me like that again.” Robb smiled. You couldn’t help but smile back, deep down it felt good, comforting, that he would still look for you. Even after your fight. He walked over and sat down next to you.
Robb tapped his foot awkwardly on the floor, he knew the words. He knew exactly what he wanted to tell you but he was scared. Deep down he knew you loved him but he couldn’t be sure. “I really don’t want to lose you.” You started, closing the book and putting it on the pile next to you. “You won’t, I’ll make sure of that.” He couldn’t keep his eyes off of you and smiled. Noticing all the little details that made you so beautiful. “It’s you. It's always been you.” You turned to him, lips slightly parted. Is he- confessing right now? “I love you. I won't let anyone take you away from me and you are-” He rambled but got cut off. You pressed your lips to his. The realisation of what you had done settled in and you quickly pulled back.
But Robb gave you no time to answer as he pulled you back in by your jaw. Your lips started moving back against him. Hands on his face and his arms around your waist. The kiss grew hungry and desperate. The cabin got hot as your lips moved hungrily against each other. His tongue softly grazed your bottom lip, allowing him in, he moved his tongue against yours. Both your short breaths and kissing sounds filling the cabin. He pulled back suddenly. “I’ve been wanting to do that for so long.” He grinned. You pressed your face in his neck, holding him close. “Me too.”

Promise - Jon Snow x Y/N (Reader)
Summary: You are a Lady from House Tully and Catelyn Starks ward. But you love her husband bastard son Jon and he loves you. Your relationship is a secret, but you don't care. But then Jon makes the decision to go to the Wall.
Warnings: implied first time, fluff, forbidden love
Words: 2.876
Gif not mine
English is not my frist language, so forgive me for my mistakes; not proof read.
You sit in the warm room and work on a handcraft. Sansa sits next to you and you both listen to the Septa's words. She explains something about housekeeping and numbers to you and Sansa, but you get bored and Sansa also prefers to concentrate on her stitches. Lady lies at your feet, her eyes are closed and she makes a quiet hum every now and then. Arya, fortunately for her, had hidden before the lesson with the Septa began. She's probably wandering around Winterfell or watching her brothers training with their swords. You are jealous of her.
"Septa, can you please tell us something about the Prince?" asks Sansa. Since Lord and Lady Stark shared with you that the royal party are one their way to visit Winterfell Sansa can only think about the golden Prince Joffrey.
"No, you have more important topics to learn my dear child." the Septa answers.
There's a knock on the door and Jon pokes his head in. Sansa rolls her eyes at the sight of her „Bastard-Brother“.
“Excuse me, Lady Stark sent me to get Lady Y/N.” You put your work aside and stand up.
"We will make up for the lesson." says the Septa.
"Of course." You say, but know you won't mind hearing such boring facts again. "Shall we go for a walk with Lady later?" Sansa asks. The Direwolf opens her eyes when she hears her name, but doesn´t move.
"Yes, I'll come straight to you after I've been to your mother." you answer. You are Catelyn Stark's ward, the daughter of a distant cousin of the Tullys. After your mother died giving birth to your brother and your father was called to Kingslanding by King Robert, Catelyn and her family let you in their house and raise you like you are one of them.
Jon closes the door behind you and smiles at you. You both walk through the corridors.
"Do you know what Catelyn wants?"
"Nothing. It was a lie. Do you really thought Catelyn will send me to get you?"
You laugh. "You can´t do things like that." you say but you smile. "It´s dangerous."
"Is it?" he asks, grabs your hips and press you gently against the next wall.
"Jon no." you giggle but then you grab his hand and kiss him, his grip at your hip tightens. Suddenly you hear steps, you and Jon jump apart and he takes two steps back.
"Because of you we will get caught." You say, Jon holds his arm to you, and you rake under it.
"You kissed me My Lady."
"I am sorry my Lord." Jons gaze is a bit sad now and he opens his mouth but you already know what he wants to say.
"I´m not a Lord.” You are faster than him and he smiles. “I know but I don´t care."
"Do you want to go for a ride?" he changes the topic.
"Of course."
"Good, meet me at the gates." Jon presses a light kiss at your lips and walks down the floor. You take a deep breath to calm down your heartbeat. Everytime you see him you have the feeling that your heart jumps out of your chest and in your stomach fly butterflies. You are madly in love with this man and you have the luck that he loves you too. You know it´s dangerous. He is a bastard and you are a Lady. Your Love is forbidden but you don´t care.
You walk through Winterfell, your home, to the gates. Ghost comes to you and nudges his snout into your hand. Behind the gates waits Jon with two horses. You take the reins from him and get on the horse. Jon also gets on his horse and together you ride off into the forest. It´s a bit cold, but you don´t care. You just enjoy the time you spend with Jon.
Jon stops in a clearing. "Let's take a break." You look at him a little confused, you two usually ride for hours through the forests around Winterfell. And it's usually you who ends up barely getting off the horse because your legs are stiff and hurt. Jon gets of his horse and comes to you to help you, but you don´t need his help. You jump from the horseback and land bevor your Lover.
"Not really Ladylike."
"Shut up Snow." you laugh, and he takes your hand in his.
"Usually, your word is my command." he kisses your hand. "But today I have to talk to you."
You look at him worried. "Something happened?" you ask. Jon sighs, taking your hand in one hand and the reins in the other. Then he starts walking, Ghost runs next to you. You're still waiting for an answer. "I spoke to father today. After the king came to visit, he allowed me to go to the wall."
You stop, forcing Jon to stop too.
"What?"
"It has always been my dream to go to the wall."
"You want to put on the black? You want to leave me?" you can´t believe what you´re hearing.
"No! No Y/N of course I don't want to leave you. But father says the king wants him as his hand. There is no other reason why he should travel north otherwise. And then I can't stay here."
"Robb wouldn't send you away."
"Of course not. But you know what Catelyn thinks of me, when father is gone it will only get worse and besides, what else do I have other than the wall?"
Tears come to your eyes. "You have me. But that doesn't seem to be that important to you." you pull your hand away.
"No! Y/N please. Listen to me okay. Please let me explain."
"What do you want to explain? Why you are leaving me? I don´t want to hear it." You say angrily, you don't want him to leave you. "You said you loved me!"
"I love you."
"You don't leave the person you love."
Now tears come to Jon's eyes too. "What choice do I have?"
"You can stay here with me."
"And then? Continue to hide? Continue to meet in secret? Secret kisses and always being afraid of being caught? In the worst-case Catelyn catches us and she will demand my head."
"No she won't! I'll explain to her that we love each other."
"You know her, she will not listen to you."
"Is that what you care about? Is it fear? Do you not want to see me anymore? But please, don´t leave our home."
"I love you! I can't even spend a day away from you without it tearing me up inside." He pulls you towards him and presses his lips against yours. The kiss is full of passion and love and you cling to him like you'll never see him again. You break apart breathless. Jon rests his forehead against yours and looks deep into your eyes.
“Please believe me that I love you and that I don't want to leave you. But I'm a bastard Y/N, there's hardly a place for me in this world. But I will have a place and a task at the Wall."
"I believe you. But I don't understand why you want to leave. You have a place in Winterfell. Your place is at my side. Isn't that enough for you? Am I not enough for you?"
"Of course." Tears run down your cheeks. Jon carefully wipes them away with his thumbs. “But we both know, someday you will leave Winterfell to marry some old Lord. And then I have nothing left. The Wall is my only way out, even if I have to leave you for it. It is better like this, for both of us.“ It feels like he's leaving you already “Please Y/N please don’t be mad at me and try to understand why I have to leave.”
"I'll try it."
"Let's ride back. You have a meeting with Sansa."
"Now I don't feel like walking anymore."
"I'm sorry. But I just wanted to explain my decision to you."
You nod and you head back to Winterfell. You stay silent the whole way back, you have a lot to think about. Shortly before you arrive, you part ways and you are the first to ride into the courtyard of Winterfell. Jon will follow you after a while.
Sansa comes towards you. "There you are." she calls. "We wanted to go for a walk."
"I'm not feeling so well, Sansa." you say, getting off the horse and walking past her. Sansa looks at you a little confused, but she doesn't say anything else.
Your thoughts revolve around Jon and his decision to go to the Wall.
You try to understand why he wants to leave. And even if you don't really want to admit it to yourself, you can understand his reasons.
You walk towards your room when Arya approaches you.
"Hello Y/N." Arya says happily when she sees you.
"Hello little wolf." You say, forcing a smile on your lips for her. "You weren't at the class with the Speta this morning."
"Yes, I managed to escape." laughs Arya.
"You shouldn't neglect your classes."
"I know."
"I won't tell your mother under one condition."
"What do you want?"
"Come with me and read something to me. You read so well, please Arya."
She rolls her eyes. She hates these things, actually she hates everything that has nothing to do with swords and bows. "Fine." she then agrees. The two of you make your way to your room, you take the book you are currently reading and give it to Arya. It's a silly fairy tale about love, but when Arya starts reading you close your eyes and imagine it's your story. Your love story with Jon.
--
And then the day comes. The worst day of your life! Today the royal Party will leave Winterfell and with them Lord Stark, Sansa, Arya and Jon. Originally you should travel with Lord Stark and his daughters to Kings Landing, but after Bran fell from a tower, you stay behind with Catelyn and Robb.
You are awake long before the sun will rise, but you couldn´t stay in bed. You get dressed and leave your room. You walk through the corridors up to Jons room. You are not often here, the danger of being caught is far too great, but today nothing matters anymore. You knock at his door, it takes a moment and then he opens the door. He stands in front of you and looks at you in surprise.
“Y/N, what are you doing here?”
You try to ignore his bare chest and step inside his room.
“I couldn´t sleep and I wanted to say goodbye to you. Before we doesn´t have time for us anymore.” Tears well up in your eyes. You had prayed to the gods that this day will never come, but now there is nothing you can do anymore than watch the love of your life leave.
Jon smiles at you. “I am glade, that you are here, but what if someone sees you?”
“I don´t care.”
“You should.”
“No. Everything I care about is that we only have hours left together.” You reach up to him and kiss his lips.
Jon kisses you back for a second, but than he pulls away. “Y/N.” he sighs and looks at you with sad eyes.
“No. I don´t want to be sad now. Please. We only have a few hours left together. I don´t want to waste them.”
Jon strokes your cheek and smiles. “I love you so much.”
“And I love you. Forever.”
Jon kisses you again, you wrap your arms around his neck. Jon wraps his arms around your body and pulls you closer to him. The kiss is full of love and affection. You know he loves you and he know you love him. Even if your love is forbidden, even if everything speaks against your love. Nobody can take this away form you. Not a King, not a Lord or the Wall.
Your hands run over his bare chest.
His lips move to your neck, and you have to suppress a moan. His touch sets a fire inside you. You know this feeling, Jon has triggered this feeling in you again and again.
His hands roam over your back and then in front and over your arms. Jon pulls away from you, breathing heavily. His eyes sparkle and his lips meet yours again. Just for a second and then he pulls away.
"You have to go."
"Why."
"If you stay any longer, I can't promise anything anymore."
"I don't want you to promise me anything." you kiss him again, this time demanding and passionate. Your hands bury themselves in his hair and Jon groans.
"We can´t." He whispers against your lips and then kisses you again. His hands roam over your body and you get goosebumps all over your body.
"I know what you're afraid of, Jon. But don't worry."
Jon looks at you for a moment. You can see in his face that he is thinking.
And then he kisses you passionately. His hands are all over your body. You snuggle up against him and moan under his touch. "Are you sure?" he asks breathless.
"Yes. I've never been so sure."
You turn around, Jon kisses your neck as he undoes the laces of your dress. It falls to the floor and you shiver.
You've never experienced anything like what you had with Jon that morning. It was loving, tender and beautiful.
You lie together on his bed. The sun rises and you hear the first servants walking across the hallways. Jon’s hand gently strokes your bare shoulder.
"We have to get up." you say.
"I don't want this moment to be over."
"I don't want it either." You turn to him and press a soft kiss to his lips.
“I love you Y/N.”
“I love you Jon.” It's just a whisper in the room, but to you it means everything. No one can take your time with Jon away from you, even if he leaves you today.
“Y/N.” Jon's voice is suddenly serious. "I will travel to the Wall today and I will put on the black. But I want to promise you something. I promise you that we will see each other again." He kisses your forehead and now you can't hold back the tears. "Don't cry my lady."
"I'm trying My." you interrupt yourself. “My Jon.”
--
You stand next to Catelyn in the courtyard to say goodbye to the king and his entourage. And to say goodbye to Lord Stark, Sansa, Arya and Jon. You hardly dare to look Jon in the eyes. You try to hold back the tears, but you can't quite manage it. A few tears roll down your cheeks, but you can blame it on the fact that you're going to miss Sansa and Arya so much.
The royal party starts moving and Jon also turns his horse towards the gate. But before he leaves Winterfell he turns around again, and your eyes meet. You look into his eyes one last time. He nods slightly at you and smiles. It's a sad smile, but you know what it means. I love you and this farewell isn´t forever. You will see each other again.
The gates close and you stand alone in the courtyard, and for the first time since you have been in Winterfell, you are actually cold. For the first time in your live you feel lonely. Caytlin says something to you, but you don´t hear what she said. You turn around and run into your room. You lock the door behind you and fall weakly onto your bed. Tears immediately stream down your cheeks, and you feel like your heart is tearing apart in your chest. He is gone. He is really gone.
--
The cold wind blows around your ears and you pull the fur collar of your cloak further up. You take a deep breath and ride towards the gate of Castle Black. You stop just before the gate and get off your horse. Your steps slowly carry you forward.
“Who are you?” a strange voice came from behind the gate.
“Lady Y/N, from Winterfell. I want to see Jon Snow.” Your voice trembles, but you´re almost there. You´re almost with him.
It takes a short moment and then the gate open and you can step into the courtyard of Castle Black. A lot of strange man look at you. You look around nervously. Your hair is messy, and your dress is covered in dirt and the hem is soaked in blood. Robbs blood.
“Y/N.” his voice flows through you, you turn around and looks at him. Jon comes down the stairs and runs across the yard to you. Before he even reaches you, tears are running down your cheeks. Finally, he wraps you in his arms again. You take a deep breath. His scent, so familiar and yet so strange, envelops you. For the first time since you left the Twins you feel safe.
“Please never leave me again.” You whisper in his ear.
“Never. I promise.”

The Finger Situation
Summary: Jon catches Sansa masturbating and gives her a hand. Pairing: Jonsa Warnings: Porn watch. Masturbation. Dirty talk. Smut.

Keeping Up With the Targaryens - Masterlist
Sansa pulled the curtains of the little guest room she'd been stored in.
Robb was out with his girlfriend, Jon was off with Theon and she finally - finally - had their house to herself.
After the Joffrey mess and the stress of trying to get into UNI, she deserved this break.
Their home was always so busy, she never had a single moment to herself! Everyone was always all around, the walls were paper thin, and maybe father was the only one in her family who actively respected a closed door.
Coming to stay with them for a few weeks was bliss.
It wasn't all easy - she still had to deal with Jon, which was pretty much like having Arya - but being with the boys meant she had a little bit of freedom.
Still, Robb wasn't living alone, but with his best friends, Jon and Theon. A pair of pricks who were always all around her house growing up.
Theon was pretty crude, although he tried to be respectable when her parents were around and teased Sansa a bit less when she threatened to tattle on him. But Jon was different.
He was Robb’s best friend since, like… forever,
He was too hot for his own good, and an emo prick.
Well... not emo.
But he always wore black and always looked like he was sulking on some bad feeling no one could see, all pouty.
It was way worse when they were younger. Jon was always a loner - especially in contrast with Sansa, who was prom queen twice! - but he had grown out of his awkwardness, and was...
Nice.
Charming.
And he knew it, he fucking had to know.
Jon would walk around without his shirt, have his hair all pretty around his face and pout when she was looking at him, all fucking stupid!
So maybe she had an itsy bitsy tiny little small crush on him.
And what was the big deal?
As long as he didn't know it was alright.
All Sansa had to do was get it out of her system!
And now she finally had time and the house for herself.
Back home, getting off really was always the same thing. A little clit rubbing, a few open bookmarks, a pillow on her mouth to muffle any sound, and that was it.
But she wasn't home. And she was all alone.
Sansa sat on her bed all naked and pulled up a video on how to actually do it right.
Get herself off, of course.
It wasn't like she could have a toy for herself or anything, it was just herself. And now was the best moment to do it, because when else would she have the chance?
The video was simple enough. A woman with her legs all spread, her bald pussy in full view, but instead of her own hand, it was another. Bigger. Veinier.
A man's hand.
Well... she could still follow along.
So, she placed the phone on the desk by the side of her bed, and then lied down, turning her head to the side to watch it.
"First, you spread her," the man hummed, voice deep and slow with a very distant accent to it. "You see how my sweet girl is all wet? Glistening?"
Sansa nodded. Yes, she was very wet.
"She gets like this when I kiss her silly," he purred, sounding proud. "And I've made it very special today because she wanted to be part of this little tutorial so badly."
The woman giggled.
"Now, you must know," he continued. "You have to be sweet with your girl. Kiss her and play with her... I pinch and play with her nipples to make her like this... of course, you can always do this..."
He moved his fingers to her cunt, spreading her folds, touching her around her clit and then on it, rubbing it slowly, and Sansa followed obediently.
"This will always, always make her all wet," he affirmed. "Every girl... well, everyone with a clit, but let's focus our language here. Every girl has a sensitive clit, but you have to touch it the way they like it. Some feel a little more sensitive on a special side, some can't have direct stimulation... my sweet girl here can't cum if I play with the left side because it's not sensitive enough. It's the perfect edging partner."
To prove it, he moved his finger to circle just the said side of her clit, and the girl squirmed.
"See how she drools?" he hummed. "You want her very, very wet, very sloppy."
Sansa squirmed.
Sloppy. Stupid word.
Stupid word that made her all stupid wet.
"Once she is like this, and only once she is like this, you can put your finger in," he instructed. "Slowly, very gently. Let her relax and accept it."
Sansa moved around to get her finger in, and huffed at the stretch.
Oh, no one told her that fingering herself was an ab workout!
Maybe that was why the girl wasn't touching herself on camera. She would have to be very bendy to look sexy while doing it.
Still, Sansa tried her best, and if felt better than she thought it would.
It did. It really did.
Her finger was touching some place she really hadn't touched before - even when she had actually tried a while ago.
It was new, it was good, and it was hard to do.
"Now pull slowly," the man commanded. "And push... fuck her slowly, give her time."
She complied and whined in pleasure at the same time the woman let out a very little sound.
"You'll know she is enjoying it when you feel her cunt fluttering your finger... my pretty girl here will moan sweetly, but some girls are shy. You really need to coax the moans out of their lips."
Sansa wasn't shy. Well, she was, but she was home alone, and it felt so stupidly good, she wasn't even caring about being quiet.
"Don't give her more than she can fit," he instructed. "Especially if she hasn't taken any cock before."
Sansa squirmed.
"Sweet little virgins need time," he cooed.
Suddenly, her door opened.
"Sansa, are you-"
"Oh my God!" she screamed, reaching for the sheets.
Jon stopped, frozen by the door.
"Get out!" she screamed, trying to cover herself up.
He didn't fucking move.
She was going to die. That was it.
Sansa was going to die by embarrassment.
The woman moaned randomly from her phone, and she felt her whole face and neck just burning deeply.
"Curl your fingers," the man instructed. "Just like that, good girl."
She pulled the sheets up, covering her face with the thick covers.
"Sansa," he spoke slowly.
The sounds of the video stopped.
"What are you doing?" he asked, almost accusatory.
“None of your business!” she screeched.
This was just like one of their arguments back home. So childish!
"Sansa..." he stepped closer.
She covered her head, not wanting to be seen.
"Can you just leave?" she begged. "And put my phone now. Please."
She wasn't in the mood nor had the patience to fight with him now.
"What are you watching?" he asked.
Sansa didn't answer, and she could see him sitting on her bed.
"How to finger a pussy," he read the title. "By... dragonrider?"
She whined, closing her eyes.
"Jon, please," she begged. "Just let that go."
Great, now he was going to rub that on her face.
He moved, but instead of leaving her, he closed her door and walked back to her bed, sitting down.
"Don't you know how to finger yourself?" he asked, voice too casual for the question he was asking her.
She covered her face with a hand.
"Jon..."
"I'm just asking," he shrugged. "You're 18 now."
"I've never done that before!" she huffed. "I'm not like Theon."
He didn't move.
"So you're a virgin?"
"No," she stomped her foot. "I dated, remember? Harry? I started dating before you even had a girlfriend!"
Jon scoffed sounding.
"So you had a boyfriend, and he never fingered you?" he asked. "He must not have been good enough, then. I fingered Ygritte good before I even knew what I was doing."
She rolled her eyes.
"I make her cum," he told her. "I did all the time. Did your sweet Harry do that for you?"
Sansa just pouted, uncovering her head to glare at him.
"Haha," she rolled her eyes. "Is that all you meant to do? Rub it on my face how you could make your girlfriend cum and how I have to get myself off if I want it?"
He shrugged, and she crossed her arms.
"We didn't... do that," she huffed. "Just so you know."
Jon looked at her, unaffected by her state.
"So you are still a virgin?" he asked.
She looked away from him, burning red, and just wanted to yell at him, but Jon shrugged, very comfortable on her bed.
"I'm not making fun of you," he assured her. "But you shouldn't learn how to pleasure yourself with porn. That's doomed to fail."
Sansa rolled her eyes.
"I know how to pleasure myself!" she argued. "I just... I didn't know how to finger myself. It's different."
Jon looked back at her and sighed.
Shamelessly, he tapped on the bed with his hand.
"Come here," he instructed her. "You're not gonna learn from a video."
Sansa eyed him suspiciously, but walked to the bed anyway, holding her sheets close to her body before sitting down by his side.
"Well, what do you suggest?" she pouted. "That I read an article?"
He straight up chuckled, and then looked at her, licking his lips, and his eyes were tainted with something more.
"You need a teacher to help you. Show you," he said simply, leaning closer to her. "I could be your teacher."
Her whole face burned, and her eyes widened in shock.
"Jon..."
He leaned closer to her.
"Tell me to stop," he whispered.
But she shook her head.
"Please," Sansa exhaled. "Don't."
He kissed her, and she was eager to take it and kiss him back, and just let him when he moved his hand to her blanket and pulled it off before pulling her closer by her waist.
She understood now, what it meant, to be kissed silly and made wet and needy.
Harry and Joffrey had never kissed her like that.
Slowly, as if not to startle her, Jon moved her, laying her on the back and climbing up and up until her head was on her pillow, and his hand moved slowly to between her legs, caressing her knee and her thigh.
She gasped when he pushed a single finger into her easily. His finger was too thick, almost like two of hers, but he was so delicate it didn't even hurt.
"So warm, Sansa," he whispered, biting her lower lip. "You got yourself all wet, didn't you?"
She nodded, whining a little.
"Poor girl," he cooed. "Never had a boyfriend nice enough to show you how good-"
He curled his finger and she gasped when she felt him brushing against a sensitive pot in her.
"-it can be to have a finger in her cunt."
"Was too scared," she whimpered.
Jon sighed, shaking his head.
"Poor, poor girl," he hummed, kissing her neck.
He moved down slowly, and she gasped when she felt him kissing her chest, licking her nipple before sucking it into his lips, pulling his finger out and pushing it back into her.
"Look at you," he cooed, letting it go. "Those tiny little tits..."
Sansa whined, though arching her chest to him.
Her tits weren't tiny!
They were just a little small.
"Do you think I could suck fit one whole into my mouth?" he looked at her. "Think your little tit can fit all into my lips while I finger your virgin cunt?"
His words, dear Lord...
Suddenly, Jon moved to his statement, spreading his lips, and she gasped when his teeth grazed against the top and bottom of her breast, and she moaned when he sucked it all into his lips.
Sansa arched her hips, and moaned loudly when he slipped a second finger into her.
"Jon," she grabbed his hair, not knowing what to even do with her hands.
His hair was so nice, soft and curly and pretty.
"Sweet little Sansa," he moved back, kissing her skin slowly to her other breast. "Squeezing me sweetly on your cunt."
She arched her hips to him, needy.
"Jon," she moaned.
"Feels good, sweet Sansa?" he licked the underside of her breast. "To have my fingers in your cunt?"
She nodded, ad tried to get closer to his hand when he pulled away slowly, fucking her with his palm far, far away from her.
"Please, Jon," she pleaded. "My clit."
Jon hummed a little.
"I don't know, Sansa," he curled his fingers, tickling her sensitive walls and she moaned. "You only asked me to finger you, and I am fingering you."
She whined, raising her hips, trying to chase him.
"I can't cum like this!" she argued. "Please, Jon."
"You're right," he used a hand to spread her legs more. "You can't, right? It doesn't matter how much I finger your sweet cunt and don't play with your clit, I'll only be edging you."
And he kept fingering her as if he hadn't heard his own words.
"Jon," she protested.
He moved back to look at her, and she could finally see it in his eyes.
"Yes, sweet girl?"
"Please," she pleaded with him. "Please, play with my clit? Please?"
Jon licked his lips.
"And why would I do that?" he teased her, his voice and face mocking her.
Sansa just wanted to smack that smug look out of his face.
"Cause you're good?" she tried to argue. "A good lover?"
He just moved faster, and she could hear the sounds of her cunt taking his fingers, already feeling herself all infected with arousal.
"That is true," he agreed. "But I like being mean to you so, so much."
Jon pulled his fingers again, and she was about to protest when he just grabbed her and manhandled her to lay on her stomach and raise her ass, pushing now what felt like three fingers into her.
"And I think you like it too, don't you, sweet girl," he cooed.
Sansa moaned, half her face smashed on her pillow.
"Fuck, Jon," she yelped.
He fucked her fast, rough and with no mercy.
"Yes, Sansa?" he asked.
He changed the motion of his fingers out of a sudden, and she cried out when he touched something especially sensitive in her.
"Jon!" she screamed.
"Stupid sweet Sansa," he slapped her ass. "Look at your cunt. So sloppy."
Her pussy squeezed around his fingers more.
That word, that stupid word.
She could cum right now. Just a little rub, and she would cum.
"Please," she cried on the bed. "Please, I need to cum, please."
She felt him before she realised he had moved. His tongue on her cunt, around her hole, just taking her wetness.
"Please," she cried, trembling already. "I need- please."
And then, suddenly, he wrapped his lips around her clit, fucking her hard with his fingers and sucking her in a never-ending grasp.
And Sansa came.
Loud, shaking and crying.
"There you go," he hummed, tongue licking her clit softly. "Was this what you needed, Sansa?"
"Yes," she cried.
He continued to move his fingers.
"How do you say, then, sweet girl?" he asked.
Sansa whined into her pillow, sensitive.
"Thank you," she moved her hips. "Thank you, Jon, thank you, thank you."
He pulled his fingers away, and she was about to turn around when his tongue moved a little more daringly, licking her cunt clean, licking and tasting her up hungrily.
Sansa was shaking and moaning, oversensitive and overwhelmed.
Before she could cum again - or beg to cum - the sound of the door opening made her stop, and Jon stopped quickly.
"Guys?" Robb called. "We're home."
She gasped, but Jon moved quicker than she could think.
"We can finish this when we have privacy, sweet girl," he caressed her ass.
He left, and she watched him go, panting.
Oh, they sure would.

𝐌𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲
Paring: Jon Snow x f!Reader
Summary: You arrive in Winterfell lending aid to House Stark but seeing Jon brings back lost feelings you both share.
Warnings: mentions of drinking, kissing, fluff.
Word count: 1.4k
Your heart pounded in your chest as you rode through the gates of Winterfell the familiarity of the high stone walls and the sight of Stark banners bringing back the memories of your childhood. You had, in the past, spent many years in Winterfell growing up with the Stark children. Your father became a good friend of Ned Stark; while fighting alongside each other during Robert's rebellion. Leading to many years spent in the castle.
You arrived in the courtyard of Winterfell, the cloak you’re wearing doing surprisingly little to suppress the cold winds of the North. You had been called as a bannerman of house Stark to lend aid and fight the white walkers beyond the wall. You look around, all the people of Winterfell seem to have solemn faces ‘it’s quieter than I remember’ you think to yourself while dismounting your horse stirrups rattling, the stable boy rushes over to take the reins from your gloved hands leading your horse away. Your men follow you, dismounting their horses, gathering their things and moving supplies, all of a sudden the yard is buzzing with movement.
“Y/n!” you turn at the sound of your name to see Sansa walking towards you, “lady Stark” you bow slightly she lets out a small laugh as she embraces you, “you mustn't call me that y/n” she smiles “well you are lady of the North are you not” you ask “that I am yes, but to you it will always be just Sansa” she states “very well than Sansa” you smile “take me to Lord Snow.”
The castle is darker than you remember, as Sansa leads you through the doors of the great hall, you catch sight of Jon, the young man you once remembered as a solemn and brooding child.
Walking past the large tables in the middle of the hall you pull off your gloves, you look up to see Jon sitting at the high table reading a letter “Jon” Sansa says he looks up, his face breaking into a warm smile when his eyes land on you. You can’t help but smile back. You haven’t seen Jon in a long time, not since before he left to join the Night’s Watch. “My lord,” you take a slight bow, he stands and begins to walk towards you not saying a word, his gaze lingering.
Finally he speaks “My lady”. He lets out a small laugh before wrapping his arms around you, you can feel the warmth radiating off of him even with the layers of fur between you, he lets go resting his hands on your shoulders before they move to cup your face.
“Look at you” he mutters, eyes raking across you he pulls away “I didn’t think you’d come.”
“I’m sworn to House Stark my lord” you reply “it is an honor to fight for your family.”
“My lord” Jon repeated “since when were you one to be so formal”? He teased.
You can’t help but smirk, while walking past him with your hands clasped behind your back making your way to the table running your fingers along the edge, the teasing tone in Jon’s voice luring out your own wit. “And here I thought that being declared King of the North automatically earned you the title of ‘my lord’.”
Jon chucked, a low rumble escaping his throat, “yes it does except, we grew up together there is no need for formality between us.”
“I suppose you're right” you agree, your voice lightening. “However don’t let that get to your head, a little formality never hurt anyone.”
Jon raises an eyebrow playfully. “Is that so? Then perhaps I should start using ‘my lady’ whenever I address you.”
You laugh “you can certainly try but, I can’t promise I won’t retaliate”
Jon shakes his head, a smile dancing on his lips.
A fortnight had passed since you'd first arrived back in Winterfell, and tonight you were dining with the Starks and their men in the great hall, enjoying the loud conversations and laughter ringing throughout the room. It had been a long while since you’d allowed yourself a good time. You spent the night laughing and socializing with the others. Not noticing the way Jon was looking at you.
As the talking and laughter slowly began to die, people began to retire to their chambers, you being one of them as the fatigue from the day's ride was finally wearing on you. Standing up making your way out to a long hallway lined with sconces providing a small amount of light as you pass various chambers while walking to your own.
Opening the door you’re greeted with warmth radiating from the fireplace, you walk to a small table in the corner of the room picking up a few letters that you had yet to open, before dropping them back down rubbing your temples knowing that the night would be full of endless reading.
Jon hadn’t put much thought into what he was about to do, maybe it was the wine or maybe it was just pure ignorance he thought to himself, as he was making his way through the dimly lit corridors. When he arrived at the door, his heart was pounding in his chest taking a deep breath before he raised his fist to leave a soft knock.
While on your 3rd letter of the night you hear a light knock at your door, getting up from your seat at the table curious as to who it could be. Unlatching the door expecting it to be Sansa you were startled to see Jon standing on the other side.
“Jon” you said surprised “it’s late”
For a moment he didn’t say anything, his gaze lingering on your face.
“Evening” he said “I hope I haven’t disturbed you”
“No, it’s alright” your eyes scanning his face for any indicator of what he was there for. Tilting your head slightly to one side. “Has something happened?” you asked
“No, no, may I come in?”
“Yes of course. Please come in.”
Moving aside Jon steps through, making his way to stand in front of the fireplace. He looks nervous, still thinking something had happened you ask once again.
“Jon” you pause, he looks up, his eyes finally meeting yours. The look on his face starting to worry you.
The silence hung like smoke in the air as you awaited his response.
He mumbles, moving one of his hands to run through his hair, turning back to face the fire watching the flames dance. You cautiously walk up behind him reaching to put a hand on his shoulder, he turns to face you leaning into your touch.
Long forgotten feelings wash over you.
“Jon, please tell me” you insist, your hand now resting at his jaw he leans further into your touch before covering your hand with his. You stayed like this for a short time relishing in the moment, the unspoken understanding filling the space between you. Removing his hand from yours to cup your jaw as he draws himself closer, his eyes searching yours for permission.
You quickly nod, before he closes the gap between you, lips brushing together. Your lips part slightly, letting his tongue slip inside. His hand glides to the nape of your neck, then moving to your waist, pressing your bodies together. You moan into the kiss, hands running through his hair while he trails gentle kisses leading from your jaw to your collarbone, small breaths escaping your lips.
Pulling away, his gaze meeting your own.
“You have no idea what you do to me” he whispers.
The look in his eyes was evidence enough revealing what he felt without uttering a word. Yet he continues to speak. Hands coming back to hold your face.
“I-” he pauses for a brief moment gathering his thoughts. “You are my every thought” He breathes. “The only person able to ground me, make me feel whole. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of you. How I wasted all those years believing I had no chance, only to be standing here right now. With you.”
Tears begin to swell in your eyes threatening to fall.
“You consume every part of me, body and soul.” He gently wipes away the tears that begin to fall. “You are everything to me.”
You smile at him, leaning into his touch.
“I love you.”
The words feel heavy.
He starts to speak afraid of your rejection, you cut him off colliding your lips together for a brief kiss before pulling away resting your forehead against his, shallow breathing filling the room.
“And I you.”
The words so lightly spoken, Jon wasn’t sure he heard them.
Leaning in to kiss you softly once more, running a hand through your hair, his eyes full of nothing but affection. “My lady.”

the hounds of harrenhal is a slow-burn brienne x sansa romance within a whimsical adventure with a good mix of found family + re-found blood family fluff. don’t get it twisted, this is still pretty plot heavy. since this is a rather expansive work, there are plenty of other eventual pairings such as gendry/arya and jon/satin (i hc jon snow as the most clueless bisexual to ever live and i love him) in addition to some surprises for later.
can you spot the jenny of oldstones and prince duncan of dragonflies reference(s) in the collage? in addition to rhyming with past asoiaf-verse love stories (dunk x rohanne, jenny x duncan, elissa farman x queen rhaena, lyanna x rhaegar), THOH draws on the persephone/hades abduction myth to subvert both the hound's offer to escape with sansa during the blackwater and littlefinger's "rescue" of sansa from king's landing.
for the purposes of the fic (curse you, abandoned five year gap), sansa's been aged up to robb's twin and two years have passed in-universe.
brienne becomes the newest wearer of the hound's helm after lem when jaime sacrifices himself to lady stoneheart following an escape plan gone very wrong. as the hound, brienne enters a tourney at the eyrie as a mystery knight to win some much needed coin to help the brotherhood without banners through winter. there, lady alayne arryn begs for help escaping a doomed marriage; brienne temporarily sets aside jaime's honor-saving mission for sansa to help her. petyr baelish announces that the hound has abducted sansa stark from the eyrie and advertises a large reward for her safe return. meanwhile, tyrion is trying to use his previous marriage to sansa to claim the vale for the mountain clans and daenerys. sansa hides out in the riverlands’ magical hollow hill with brienne and the brotherhood, falling in love as tensions within the realm build up to a second dance of the dragons amid a years-long winter. when love is the death of duty, what happens when your duty is to the one you love? this work will ultimately take place over the course of several years, weaving in new allies and foes for our star-crossed lovers as the realm moves from crisis to crisis. for generations to come, all of westeros will sing of harrenhal’s hounds and its witch queen. but life is not a song; in this story, it is far sweeter.
meta thoughts below the cut on why a future briensa is objectively one of the best ASOIAF ships in terms of thematic potential.
briensa has the best elements of the far more popular s*ns*n and br*ime ships except they're both teenagers and, crucially, brienne has never held sansa at knifepoint 🩵 no shade to either ship though bc the themes those relationships explore have sent brienne and sansa on journeys that have made them kind of perfect for each other; ie, the subversion of brienne being a protector to sansa rather than a threat is especially relevant if brienne is the next hound after lem!!! alexa play god bless the broken road
brienne is the hero sansa prayed for!!! sansa has learned to put more trust in disfigured people than "beautiful" people which means she can see brienne's beauty in a way she cannot!!! thematically it would be well supported yet subversive for sansa’s true knight and true love to be a jonquil darke type rather than a florian type 🥹 thematically i think the surest route to true love for sansa is a naerys + aemon situation so why not make it like alysanne and jonquil if they ✂️? it's not my fault grrm accidentally (?) wrote sansa as a closeted femme4butch!!!!

Chapter 17 When you believe
Chapter 17 of Sandstorm

Pairing- Jon Snow x Targaryen!fem-reader
(If you want to be tagged let me know)
————
*15 YEARS LATER*
“Your Grace,” he bows his head and then slowly drifts his gaze to your left side and parts his lips but doesn’t say anything, as if debating whether to acknowledge who stands by your throne. “…Princess,” he finally adds and straightens up.
You draw out an exhausted breath and press the man. “State your business, Lord Umber.”
The old man slides the hat off his head and clutches it in front of him as he holds your gaze. “I am sorry for the disturbance, My Queen, but I don’t know what else to do. It’s the Wildlings, they’ve—”
“Freefolk,” the young girl at your left side cuts him off to correct him. “If you’ve come here to complain then please address them correctly.”
You can’t help the proud smirk that tugs on your face as you look at your left side to share the gesture with your eldest daughter, and heir, Rhaenyra.
She notices from the corner of her eyes and passes a soft smirk before you’re both forced to listen to the man complain about the Freefolk, as a lot of Northerners often do. You’d think after a decade of the Freefolk being apart of the Kingdoms, the people would stop being so judgemental, but no, they continue to whine.
“The Freefolk,” the man corrects himself. “Summer snow has struck the North, and I know it’s nothing to worry about here, but it is over there. They do nothing but steal like wild ravagers. I want them out of my lands. It’s time the Crown does something about them.”
It’s always the same thing over and over again. It’s fucking annoying.
“Freefolk business is to be dealt with Princess Sansa Stark,” you remind the man of a law that’s been set for 15 years.
The Lord nods and shuffles forward, making sure to be cautious of the swords that align the steps that lead to the Throne. “I have gone to the Princess of the North, but I always end up with the same response that nothing can be done. That’s why I have come here personally.”
You nod and sigh, wanting this to be over, but you just shift in the seat and continue to address his problem. “My Lord, have the Freefolk robbed you personally? Because if they have then it is to be brought with Princess Sansa Stark, there are laws that need to be followed, including them. So if they have robbed you, beaten you, or done any destruction to your lands then please say so.”
The Lord twists his hat and glances at the Lord Hand below the steps, and then at the Grand Maester at the other side and finally meets your gaze again and nods, letting you know all you needed to know, it’s all bullshit.
“They’ve gotten to steal from our flocks,” the man shares. “Every other night, one goes missing or one wakes up all dead and covered in blood. How am I meant to keep my people fed? I want justice.”
Gods.
You sigh and nod softly. “All right, well I’ll write to Princess Sansa Stark, I will tell her to send two Knights to your land and stand guard for a week. If you are right then the Freefolk at fault will face trial, if not then you may rest easy and know it was not them.”
The Lord nods and then bows his head. “Thank you, Your Grace. I know that I will be right.”
You hum and offer the man a tiny smile that lasts until he’s out of the sunlit throne room. “All right,” you sigh and stand up from that hard ass throne. “Well my Lord Hand that is all for today. Thank you.”
The Lord hand bows and takes his leave, letting you turn to Grand Maester Samwell Tarly. “Grand Maester, may you send Princess Sansa a raven and let her know what we’ve discussed here today please.”
The man bows his head. “Of course, right away your Grace.” He then scurries off, letting you walk down the steps and then head to the courtyard with Rhaenyra beside you, and four Queensguard behind you.
“I bet it’s just a pack of wolves getting into his flock,” Rhaenyra interjects when you leave the throne room. “It’s rare now to hear of the Freefolk doing any harm.”
You scoff. “Yes, that’s exactly my thoughts, but you know,” you sigh. “People are still prejudice about the unknown. They’re scared. But the key thing to do in these cases is…” you trail off and let her finish.
“Have patience,” Rhaenyra fills in.
You smile and meet her pretty dark eyes that match Jon’s. “Exactly, even when they cry wolf.”
Rhaenyra tries not to, but she can’t help but giggle.
You grin and look ahead. “Pun very much intended.”
Rhaenyra scoffs; and you know she rolls her eyes.
“Still he came all this way,” Rhaenyra adds. “I wonder how much of his flock is left now. With luck all so he can learn his lesson about whining.”
“With luck,” you retort. “None are dead or else he will come back and give us headaches.”
“I suppose you are right,” Rhaenyra agrees.
“Aren't I always?” You tease.
Rhaenyra stays quiet, causing you to look at her with a playful narrowed glare. She meets your gaze and simply shrugs.
“Father says it’s okay to be wrong,” she counters smugly. “There’s no mistake or shame in it.”
You wrap your arm around her shoulders and shake your head. “But I am your mother and the Queen, I am never wrong. My word is law. Literally.”
Rhaenyra scoffs softly. “Father says even rulers can be wrong.”
You beam at her and press your forehead against hers. “Very good. Your father has taught you well.”
She’s come a long way from being sharp tongued and short tempered. Well some of it still resides within her, but now that she’s been at your side more in your royal duties, she’s started to mature. It both saddens and fills you with joy because you don’t wish her to get any older than she already is, but you also can’t help but feel proud.
“As have you, mother,” she assures you.
You hum softly and then press a kiss on the side of her head before you let go and walk out to the runway that overlooks the training courtyard below. And the moment you walk out you’re welcomed with the sound of metal singing as it clashes against one another, you hear playful training yard squabble, and instructions that come from Jon.
When you approach the railing you stop when you’re above a pair of boys training with swords. You rest your hands against the railing and watch as your son, Ryuu, shove his older brother off his feet with a swift lunge before he spins around him and trips him. He’s only 13, and Jon and Ser Brienne say he’s showing great potential; he’s beaten Jon a couple already in training.
“You’ve frozen up again, young Prince,” Ser Brienne scolds your older son on the ground. “Stop tensing up and watching. Watch and act.”
You lean closer and watch as Ryuu jumps up and down in celebration to his success, making the black curls on his head bounce.
“No celebrating,” Ser Brienne scolds the boy. “Focus.”
Ryuu stops and clears his throat. “Right sorry.” He walks around his brother and offers him his hand. “You did well, Daeron.” He compliments the 15 year old. “Nice switch.”
Daeron sighs and meets his brother's dark eyes that also match Jon’s eye color, and then takes his hand to let his brother help him to his feet.
“Thanks,” Daeron responds with disappointment as he begins to walk back to his spot across from Ryuu.
“You almost got me,” Ryuu counters and twists around to face Daeron. “Almost,” he jokes, with a smirk you know plays on his face.
“Yeah, yeah,” Daeron chuckles. “Just pay attention little boy. You won’t get me now.”
You smile at his good sportsmanship and watch as he fixes his grip around his sword's handle. And as if he can sense your gaze, he looks up and his green eyes meet your gaze. He offers you a soft smile that you quickly mirror.
“Good job,” you mouth to him.
Daeron’s smile widens, causing Ryuu to follow his line of gaze and notice you now too.
“Mother, have you come to see me beat Daeron?” He quips with a playful grin.
You shrug. “Maybe I’ve come to challenge you,” you remark.
Ryuu flashes you a grin. “I’d like that.”
You shoot him a wink and push yourself back to continue on, hearing him Ryuu taunt his brother. “I thought you were flirting with a girl for a second, but how can that be when you’re such a mommas boy.”
“Ryuu,” you warn him without looking over at him.
“Mother,” you hear him call back.
Before you can climb down the stairs to join the training yard below you turn to face Rhaenyra. “The business is all done for today, my girl, you may go change and join your siblings if that pleases you.”
Rhaenyra glances down below and watches everyone training for a few seconds before she meets your gaze and interjects. “Actually, may I go out and be with my dragon today?”
You nod without hesitation. “Of course. Go on, soar the skies. Just remember, strap up, and be careful okay?”
Rhaenyra flashes you a smile before she spins around and rushes off to do as she said, letting you turn to hobble down the stairs.
And just as you turn into the training yard you catch your youngest son and child, Aemon, miss the target a few feet ahead of him and hit some weapon rack instead. Because of it his two older sisters watching him begin to laugh.
“Which one of you was a marksman at 8?” You cut them off, catching all of their attention.
“I was,” Edria, your 11 year old daughter, counters smugly.
You scoff softly, and Oraena, the youngest daughter rebuttals her sister that’s only a year older than her. “You still wet your bed at 8.”
Edria gasps and turns her head slowly to face her sister with annoyance, before she leans over and shoves her playfully, making Oraena chuckle before she pushes Edria back. That makes Edria want to hit her arm, but Oraena runs off before she can be touched, making her sister chase after her around the training yard.
“There they go,” you comment under your breath and watch them for a moment before you look at Aemon. “You, my boy are okay,” you assure the sweet boy. “Now hair out of your face, maybe that’s why you’re missing.”
Aemon rolls his eyes, and then holds the bow between his legs to tie his wavy white-silver hair back to a bun that matched Jon’s. After he’s done he faces you and begins to sign with his hands what he wants to say since he can't speak. “Now, can father and I continue?”
You nod. “Go on. Shoot.” You tell him and point the target with your head.
Aemon grabs his bow again and takes an arrow to try again, and while he does you then look at Jon close to Aemon and walk to him with a smile.
The moment you close the gap between one another he grabs you by the back of your neck and gives you a kiss, making you cup his cheeks to deepen the steamy gesture.
“I missed you,” you say between kisses even if you had seen him not so long ago.
Jon smirks. “I missed you too.” He says back and you only move more in sync as if you have never ever kissed one another before.
Honestly as you gotten older you have only grown more passionate about each other…maybe that’s why you have six biological children. And why Aemon was such a surprise when you found out you were with child.
Perhaps if you had gotten together sooner than you’d have more. But then again you’re also glad you don’t have more, raising seven kids is a hassle and a frequent headache.
Regardless, when you pull apart Jon and wipes your lips with his thumb and interrogates you. “How was it?”
You sigh. “You know it was eventful…as always. Lord Umber came.”
Jon blinks in surprise and narrow his gaze. “Lord Umber?” He repeats. “Whatever for?”
“You’ll like this,” you say sarcastically. “He came to complain about the Freefolk.”
Jon rolls his eyes and sighs out of annoyance. “I swear one single Freefolk can pass by minding their business and people complain. When will it end? I can’t imagine how much Sansa has to hear about it.”
You chuckle and nod. “But that’s why she has Mors, he helps her keep level headed.”
Jon smiles softly and nods. “You are right.”
You shoot him a smirk. “I always am. I was right about them.”
Jon scoffs, but before he can say anything back, the sound of a stomping foot steals your attention to Aemon.
“Can you two stop,” he signs with annoyance expressing in his dark eyes. “You can kiss later when I’m not here. It’s gross.”
Jon and you chuckle. “Fine,” you give in. “I’ll go, leave you two men here. Just remember, dragon training later.”
Aemon nods in comprehension before he turns back to focus on his target practice with Jon.
“Just don’t think too much about it,” Jon advises the boy. “And relax your bow arm. Okay?”
You smile in awe as Jon walks to Aemon to help him with his stance, and stand there to watch. A few seconds pass and this time when Aemon shoots he hits the edge of the target.
“Good,” Jon tells the smiling boy. “That’s better.”
You smile wider and linger there watching as Aemon high-fives his father.
Some would say that your relationship with your children shouldn’t be as strong as it, some say only the father should truly bond with their sons, but fuck all that. Jon wants to be close to all his kids, every single one of them, you do too. Others also say that you should send them away, only keep the heir here and have the others be wards or do something else, they especially encourage you to send Daeron away, but your heart can’t bare sending him away, you can’t send any of your kids anyway, besides what can other people teach them that you and Jon can’t?
Besides, you don’t trust anyone else to raise your children. Sure dealing with royal duties and children is difficult, but Jon is a big help, your court helps as well with royal duties, that’s why you have them. You can juggle both things, you enjoy it. And why have a big family if half of them are gone?
That’s why they’re all still here, that’s why you’re close to all of them. Or as close as you can be.
If Rhaenar were still here…the family would have been even bigger, he’d be a grown man with kids of his own….
Tears fill your eyes but you don’t cry, instead you turn away and walk to Daeron and Ryuu, noticing Ryuu lose this time because he was distracted by Samwell Tarly's youngest boy, Jon, passing by.
Daeron also notices that and then looks at you to share a teasing look you mirror. Ryuu only focuses back when you approach Daeron to help him.
“Hand less tense,” you advise him. “And make sure your feet are not so spread apart.” You use your own foot to push his legs closer together. “And…” you trail off and pull his arm closer to him. “There better.”
Daeron takes note of his stance and then looks at you and gives you a thankful nod. “Thank you mother,” he whispers.
You shoot him a smile and stand back. “Go on, show me.” You encourage, but as you watch them match again, you notice the judgmental stares the passerbyers give Daeron. Albeit when they catch you glaring at them they look away and go back to what they were doing.
Sure it’s obvious that Daeron isn’t your kid, nor may he look like a Baratheon like Daenerys wanted everyone to believe. Sure his eyes are green unlike your children’s who all inherited Jon's dark eyes. Daeron may be tall and slim because he resembles his real father, Daario. Sure Daeron doesn’t have that common Targaryen silver hair, but neither does Robb, Ryuu, Edria or Oraena. Yes his nose is aquiline like that of some of your Targaryen ancestors, he has that Targaryen beauty. But that doesn’t make Daeron any less of your child or their prince. Anyone who wants to argue against that can come speak to you and Eraxis. Simple.
“Have either of you seen Robb?” You ask the two boys once they finish their match. “I’m surprised he isn’t here.”
Daeron and Ryuu share a secret look before Daeron shares what he knows. “He’s off brooding somewhere.”
“Yes,” Ryuu bounces off his brother's comment. “He woke up in a very foul mood today. He’s at the cove.”
You hum and nod in comprehension before you part away to go there right away.
After a long walk to the cove behind the castle you find your eldest son, Robb sitting on the sand throwing shells in the water.
“Robb,” you make your presence known, even though you knew he heard you climbing down the stone steps.
Albeit even if you spoke he still doesn’t look back, he drops the shells from his hands and just watches the waves crashing on the shore in front of his boots.
“I didn’t see you with your father and your siblings at the training yard,” you continue as you slowly approach him. “Is everything okay? You like training.”
Robb lets out a deep sigh and drops his head, letting his black hair fall over his eyes. “It’s okay, you wouldn't understand.”
Oh, so we’re at that stage now.
You sigh and stop just behind him to take your shoes off before you sit beside him on the sand. “I can maybe try and understand then,” you press him softly. “Please.”
Robb blinks and keeps his head down, he stays quiet for a few more seconds before he swallows thickly and then interjects quietly. “I…I’m not like you. I’ve tried and I’ve tried to be like everyone else, but no matter how much I try I still fail. I’m…a disappointment. To you and father.”
You blink repeatedly in disbelief and feel as if your heart sinks at the sound of his words. “In what way?” You probe and cup the back of his head. “Because all I see is someone who’s trying, someone who’s growing up. You’re still young Robb. You will fail and that’s okay. That’s how we all learn.”
Robb slowly lifts his head and meets your gaze with tears clouding his eyes. “But I don’t have a dragon, mother. Everyone else does, even father. Mine failed to be born to me. How does that look? The Targaryen prince who can’t have the one thing that makes us special?” He shakes his head and pushes your hand off his bead. “While you and father and all my other siblings fly I sit there watching, while you train with your dragons, I continue to sit there!”
You sigh deeply and feel your eyes fill with tears as you remember having a similar conversation with Rhaenar once. “You know,” you mutter and glance out at the crashing blue waves. “One time, before you were born. I had a very similar conversation with your older brother Rhaenar….he was afraid that his dragon egg wouldn’t be born to him because he was only half Targaryen….” You pause and glance down at your hands. “Do you want to know what I told him?”
Robb drifts his gaze to you and hums to press you for more.
You muster a small smile and then meet Robb’s dark eyes. “That it wouldn’t matter if it was born to him or not because he is still a Targaryen, because he still is great. That’s all that matters, so I tell you this now, my boy. It doesn’t matter if you bond with a dragon or not. It doesn’t,” you shake your head. “I won’t love you any less. Your father and your siblings won’t.”
Robb scoffs. “Father doesn’t love me as much.”
You lean towards him and counter. “Nonsense, your father loves you, but you are the one to blame for the distance with your father. He’s trying to reach out to you and at every attempt you push him away.”
Robb stays quiet knowing you’re right, letting you once again cup the back of his head.
“You don’t need a dragon to be great. That comes from here,” you say and point at his chest. “There are some brave men who turned out to be not so great even with dragons. And there are others who didn’t have a dragon ever and are legends; like your name-sake, your uncle Robb. He was a hero, a legend and a King and he had no dragon.” You smile and begin to caress the back of his head with your thumb. “Your uncle Tormund is a great warrior and a hero, and he also has no dragon. Ser Jaime was a great swordsman and had no dragon. I can go on and on and name personal hero’s I know that had no dragons and are still legends.”
Robb shakes his head softly. “But you do, and you’ve stopped three rebellions already during your reign as Queen because of Eraxis.”
You nod softly, knowing you can’t deny those claims. “That’s true. But are you me?”
Robb scoffs softly in amusement and shakes his head. “No.”
“Nor I do want you to be me, or your father,” you continue to assure him. “You don’t need a dragon. Daeron doesn’t have a dragon either.”
Robb huffs and averts his gaze before spatting, “Daeron is not my brother.”
Your eyes widen and you quickly argue back against him. “Don’t say that. Daeron is your brother. I may not have birthed him, but he is your relative, he is just as much of a Targaryen as you and your siblings. He is your brother, I wish you would stop arguing against that.”
Robb drops his gaze. “I’m sorry,” he mumbles.
You swallow thickly and don’t dwell on that topic any longer, instead you return to your previous conversation. “All I’m trying to say is that, you are not and will be any less of a Tagaryen if you don’t have a dragon. Now being great, that’s all up to you.”
Robb glances out at the water before he looks up at the sky as the sapphire-blue dragon is spotted miles above the water, lost in the clouds.
“I suppose you’re right,” Robb agrees quietly and a bit unsurely.
“I tend to be so,” you joke, making Robb side-eye you before he snickers.
“Yes,” he agrees. “You are.”
You beam. “At least someone sees it.”
The corner of Robb’s lips tug to a soft smile, but it doesn’t last long because it then begins to fall and go serious again. “Uncle Bran…” Robb mentions. “Said that he’s seen my late brother's dragon, Helios, at Dragonstone…can I go and try to claim him? Drogon also tends to be there uncle Bran says, so can I please try once?”
You’ve heard what happens if people don’t bond with dragons when they attempt to do it, it doesn’t end well. But who would you be if you deny him?
“All right,” you give in, “but…we will all go with you. You know what happens if a dragon doesn’t want to bond with a rider. So just in case something goes wrong we will be there to protect you….I couldn’t bear it you didn’t come back.”
Robb flashes you a faint grin. “All right…thank you mummy.”
You mirror his gesture but you then lean in and press a kiss on the side of his head.
Robb groans and gently pushes you away and grumbles, “mother, please.” His cheeks turn a tint of pink and he looks back to see if your Knights standing guard at the entrance of the cove saw.
You giggle. “I’m sorry. Now,” you sigh and stand up. “Come on. Let’s head inside. You can train with your sisters today.”
Robb pushes himself to his feet and rolls his eyes as he groans in protests. “Ugh, they’re terrible. They never focus.”
——
*LATER*
No matter how busy a day can be, no matter if there’s guests staying at the castle, Jon and you eat dinner with all of your kids. As chaotic as they can be all together, even if they have poor table manners when it’s just you, it’s the one thing you looked forward to the most.
It’s also Jon’s favorite part of the day now that you don’t have to deal with them as little children you have to help feed.
Albeit the one thing that does annoy you is sitting down to eat, you’d think that they’d have a favorite chair, but they fight about the seats. Always.
Like now for example, the sound of hurried footsteps echoes down the hall, whilst Jon insists on helping you to your seat because he says that you put enough weight on your leg that never fully healed after that battle where Gendry broke it.
“It doesn’t hurt as much today,” you assure him with a smile. “I sat for most of the day.”
“That doesn’t mean anything,” Jon counters. “Now stop complaining.”
You shoot him a grin while the doors get pushed opened and in comes running footsteps.
“No,” you recognize Edria grumble. “Aemon I sit there! Get…”
“Ahaha!” Oraena laughs evilly, and when you peer back you see she had snuck around them and taken the seat next to Jon. You also can’t miss her pink and purple hatchling perched on her shoulder.
“Bitch.”
“Edria,” you warn her as you let Jon go and sit on the head chair.
“Sorry mother.” Edria mutters and bows her head before taking the seat next to her sister, making poor baby Aemon walk around the table.
“Here,” you pat the empty seat at your right side since the left one was where Jon sits. “You can sit next to me.”
Aemon’s chest falls and he sits down as if he was forced to do so.
“What?” You remark playfully. “You don’t want to sit next to your mother? Does the Queen intimidate you?” You giggle as you see him slowly begin to grin.
As the food begins to get placed down on the tables surface the four eldest walk in—or only Rhaenyra and Ryuu walk in gracefully because Robb and Daeron come running in shoving each other to see who can reach the seat all the way across from you, because it makes them feel…special?
Who knows really. They just always fight over it.
But in all reality they shouldn’t because it’s meant to be Jon’s seat, but you didn’t like how far he was from you so he took a different seat. And then after that it was meant to be for Rhaenyra considering she’s the eldest, but the boys got to fighting so she takes whatever seat is open. Which in this case is next to Aemon and across from Oraena.
“Oraena,” you call out as you ignore the two eldest boys still fighting over the seat to glance at your youngest daughter, and the one that’s turning out to look just like your mother, Elia. Which is a blessing, but it is also a curse at the same time because it does hurt your heart a bit because you still miss your mother so much.
“What did we say about hatchlings at the dinner table?” You tell Oraena.
The girl makes sure that both Jon and you are paying attention to her before she parts her lips to argue. “He can’t be without me. Daddy you know that, I’ve told you.”
You sigh and shake your head. “He needs to start learning, O, he can’t be perched on your shoulder forever.”
“He won’t,” she rebuttals sassily. “That would be impossible.”
You draw in a deep breath and drift your eyes to your left to ask Jon for help since he’s always the solution when it comes to dealing with Oraena.
“Your mothers right, O, he can’t be here. He needs to start learning to be more independent. But it’s a long way back to your quarters, so have this be the last time.”
Oraena beams at him. “Thanks daddy.”
Well that’s as good as that’s going to get.
Now hoping the other dilemma is dealt with, you look ahead. And thankfully the boys are seated already with Robb being the one who won the seat across from you, and Daeron sitting next to Ryuu. So now you can finally begin with dinner.
“Now that we’re all seated,” Jon interjects while the last meal is placed across from him. “Let us join in prayer.”
You all grab each other's hands around the table and duck your heads to do as Jon requested.
And you weren’t one much for prayer or religion, but Jon was, and ever since winning the grande war for the throne, he’s made sure to pray as a family before eating. At first it was to give thanks to his gods that you made it out alive. But as the family grew his prayer changed. Now every single evening he thanks his gods for this life he was blessed with, all his kids, and you. Every single day it's the same prayer.
One time Edria asked why it was the same thing every single night, and he put it simply, that once when he was a young man in the Night's Watch, even when he was a boy, he never thought that having a family of his own would ever be a possibility. So now that he has it he thanks the gods that he was blessed, that it's real and it’s not all a dream he has to wake up from.
He made you cry that day he said that.
Alas, now after prayer the eating begins. It’s usually filled with chatter, or depending on the day it’s quiet and calm. Today a few minutes in Edria interjects.
“I have a very important question, for you both mother…” she trails off and glances at Jon taking a bite of his chicken. “Father.”
You put your silverware down and probe with a curious look. “Okay, share it then.”
Edria puts her cup down and shifts in her seat to face both Jon and you better, in doing so showing the scar on her face that she got from secretly sparring with some man twice her age in a competition. She was 10. It was red for weeks, and she was ashamed of it because she said it ruined her beauty because it was long and cut from the bridge of her nose down to the corner of her jaw. But now she’s grown to love the scar.
“How does a woman have a child?” Edria asks seriously, causing Jon to choke on his food, and for the four eldest kids to snicker at both Jon and their curious sister.
“Yes, please tell us,” Ryuu cuts in mischievously.
You let out a shaky breath, and ignore Ryuu. “Uh, why do you ask?” You ask Edria nervously since this is so out of the blue.
“The milkmaid is with child,” Edria explains with her eyes wide as she grows bewildered. “And she’s only 15! 15! and she has no husband.” She falls back in her seat and continues to look at Jon and you.
“Well,” you help her since Jon is taken back that his 11 year old girl is asking such questions. “One doesn’t need to be married to have a child.”
Oraena gasps and leans in to slam her hands agasint the table. “What? So does that mean that I can be with child? I kissed the stable man’s son!”
The four oldest laugh harder, while Jon gasps and snaps his head to the side to shoot her a shocked and angry look.
“Oraena,” he says sharply.
You giggle at the innocence of her worry and shake your head as you grab Jon’s hand to give it an assuring squeeze. “No, silly girl. You don’t get to be with a child by kissing. But how about Edria, you and me talk after dinner about that stuff okay?”
“I can draw you a picture about how it’s done, sweet little sister,” Robb jokes as he leans over towards Edria.
Jon’s gaze snaps to Robb’s and he snaps back. “You won’t do no such thing.”
Robb sits back and snickers as he fist bumps Daeron who also finds amusement in it.
“You can draw it for me,” you hear Ryuu whisper to his brother over the table.
A tap then hits the table at your right, and Aemon begins to sign when you look at him. “Can I know too?”
You part your lips to answer, but Jon does so before you. “I can tell you when you’re older, buddy. Okay?”
Aemon let’s out a deep exhale and nods along slowly, making Jon offer him a soft smile, and for you to end this conversation.
“Now let’s put those matters to bed and focus on another thing, Robb,” you pull him in the conversation. “Why don’t you share with us what we planned earlier, hm?” You grab your silverware again to continue eating.
Robb sets his things down to begin rubbing his knees nervously. “Well since I don’t have a dragon…I want to go to Dragonstone to try and bond with Helios. Uncle Bran says he lives there, so I want to go.”
You hum in agreement and after you swallow your food you add on for him. “Since bonding with dragons isn’t the safest thing, I thought we could all go. Watch out for him, and take advantage of the moment and have a small family trip.” You smile and glance at everyone around the table.
“That sounds like a good idea, mother,” Rhaenyra interjects. “Also gives me a chance to race against father again.” She snickers and sips her wine.
Aemon taps the table and when you look to him he quickly signs. “Can Catelyn, Nymeria and Eira go too?”
You let out a disappointed sigh and shake your head. “I’m sorry, buddy, but I’m afraid they wont make it. It’s just a small trip. But,” you try to assure him as you lean towards him. “Aunt Sansa and uncle Mors, and the girls will come in a couple weeks for a visit. That sound good?”
Aemon nods and grins.
“Really? They’re coming? Great!” Oraena asks with excitement since Sansa’s eldest daughter is 10 just like her, and they get along very well. It’s also why Aemon wants them to come because Sansa’s middle child, Catelyn, is 8 just like him.
“Anyway, Daeron, once we get to Dragonstone, maybe you can bond with a dragon too,” you direct at him so he doesn’t feel left out. “I’ve seen two wild dragons at the Dragonmount. That skinny brown one, and the teal one that looks like Ryuu’s. ”
Daeron meets your gaze and offers you a gentle smile and a light nod. “Yes, I would like that.”
You mirror his smile, and then share your happy smile with Jon.
Now all there’s left to do is hope that either of them bond with a dragon. If they don’t it’s okay, having a dragon doesn’t define them, but they really want to, so you’ll carry hope for them.
——
*LATER THAT NIGHT*
“Boys,” Jon murmurs as he continues to try and progress what he heard Oraena say. “She’s kissing boys.”
You smile at the mirror you’re using as you catch his baffled expression while he lays down.
“How old were you when you kissed a boy?” Jon asks and looks at you through the mirror.
You turn around to face him whilst you continue to spread cream over your arms. “15. But don’t worry, when I asked Oraena she said she was just curious.” You pick the cloth from the vanity to clean your hands. “It's okay to be curious. If we try to forbid them from something they’ll only act out…I know that from experience.”
Jon chuckles softly. “I know that…” he trails off and sighs. “It’s just she’s so young…in my eyes at least. She’s my little girl.”
You begin to smile in awe as you walk to your side of your shared bed.
“What? Soon she’ll stop following me around as well?” He asks, making you giggle.
“Aye, she will.” You tell him the truth as you climb on the bed and crawl to his side. “She’ll grow up, get an attitude, she’ll want to leave and then Aemon will follow and we’ll be alone.”
Once you’re laying beside Jon, he wraps his arm around your shoulders and presses you agasint him as you both admire the ceiling above. “I suppose it’s what every parent wants right? For them to live their lives,” he whispers. “I was so caught up taking care of them that I forgot that.”
You press a kiss on his chest and then begin to caress his shoulder with your finger. “Yeah,” you agree softly. “They’re all so unique and chaotic…the day is never not eventful,” you laugh. “I never expected that.”
Jon hums softly. “Nor I. I always thought my life was going to be dull and boring in the Night's Watch….now…” he trails off as he can’t find what to say.
You albeit lift your head and meet his gaze. “What would you younger self say if he knew this was going to be your life?” You ask out of curiosity. “I mean you're a prince and have seven kids. Seven.”
Jon begins to smile in admiration and shakes his head softly. “I wouldn’t believe you. I wouldn’t believe it. I was a bastard who was just a burden to my family, a shame they had to hide. At the Night's watch I started from nothing and then rose higher, but I never knew if I would live to see another day…after I left that remained the same. Now—”
“You’re a Prince Consort,” you interject. “A hero of the Seven Kingdoms, my husband, and a father. A great one at that.” You grin at him and then raise your hand to cup his cheek. “Who thought you’d get this far huh?”
“Well I’m a great father only because I have you,” he compliments you and begins to caress your chin. “Without you I don’t know how I would do it.”
You hum softly and press a kiss on his lips. “Sometimes I think war is easier,” you admit.
Jon chuckles and nods. “Oh so much easier. I mean I don’t miss fighting battles, but it was easier. Now here with the kids I have to be careful how I step…one wrong move and someone’s angry at me…like Robb. Albeit with him I don't know where I went wrong. And if I try to retrace my steps I end up more lost.”
You exhale deeply and lay your head back down on his chest. “He’s just feeling left out without a dragon.”
“Is that what he said?” Jon asks.
You nod. “Basically yes. He feels like he doesn’t belong. Like you hate him because of it.”
Jon shakes his head quickly. “Never. I never could.”
“I know, but he’s just feeling insecure. It’s part of growing up, but the best thing you can do is keep trying, okay? Maybe try and talk to him. Take him out. Go hunting, or do something he likes.” You suggest.
Jon’s chest rises as he draws in a deep breath, and then pulls your head down as it falls when he breathes out. “I hope he wants to.” He says.
“Oh, he will,” you assure him. “My only hope now is that if he doesn’t get that dragon he doesn’t spiral. He’s so dependent on getting one. Like if his life depends on it. Is it bad to expect that from him?” You ask quietly as if Robb could hear. “Does that make me horrible?”
“No,” Jon answers without hesitance. “You’re just worried, we know how he is. You’re just preparing so it doesn’t sneak up on you….but I don’t know either…I think we just have to be there for him. Support him.”
You let out a shaky breath and nod in agreement.
You’ll still hope he does get his dragon though.
——
*SOMETIME LATER. DRAGONSTONE*
“I live simply with hope for a better today for tomorrow is not promised.”
You lower your gaze and meet the dark gaze of Rhaenyra as she closes the book in her hand.
“That’s my favorite book,” you tell her. “I especially like it when you read it to me.” You caress her chin and she flashes you a smile.
Due to her being heir, now that she’s older and understands more matters, you like to have her by your side at small council meetings, hearings, really anything to do with Queen duties to get her prepared. It’s why your relationship is stronger now than it was before, because you’re with each other most of the day.
“I know. It’s one of my favorites too,” she says as she flips around to lay on her stomach on the blanket you have over the sand. “What did you draw?” She asks you.
You smirk and hand her your sketch journal to show her the drawing you drew of her as she was reading with her head on your lap.
“I shall have it hanged,” she says. “Maybe in the art gallery at home. I love it. I wish I could draw as good as you.”
“You do have an amazing talent for music,” you comfort her. “You brought your father to tears when you played the harp for the first time, remember?”
Rhaenyra snickers as she drops her head. “Father cries for my smallest achievements. When I become Queen will he sob?” He pokes fun at him.
“I bet you he will,” you play along. “10 golden dragons that he does.”
Rhaenyra glances over at Jon playing some game with Ryuu and smirks. “I’ll take that bet.” She flips back around to lay her head on your lap and takes time to admire the blue sky overhead. “Can I tell you something?”
You hum in agreement whilst you look at Aemon a few feet down the beach flying his kite.
“Robb snuck girls into his chambers last week,” Rhaenyra sells out her twin brother, causing you to snap your eyes to her and shoot her a narrowed gaze.
“What?” You scoff in disbelief.
Rhaenyra nods. “He and Maester Sam’s Jon were getting drunk and probably laying with those woman.”
Oh not Sam’s Jon, you do notice Ryuu’s crush on the older boy. This will break his heart.
“Who else knows?” You ask her and catch Ryuu laughing with Jon.
“Just me and Daeron, just don’t tell him I told you,” she lets you know.
You sigh and look around for Robb and Daeron but they continue not to show up on the beach. “I’ll talk to your father and then talk to Robb. Because if he gets one of those girls pregnant he will have to take care of it.”
Rhaenyra snorts. “Yeah, sure he will. He can’t even wipe his own ass right.”
You lower your eyes to look at her and try not to laugh, but you can’t help but let out a soft giggle.
“Ahh help me!” A shout cuts through the breezes. “Let me go! Daddy!”
You snap your eyes to where it comes from and see Edria wrestling with Oraena in the shore. And just as Jon breaks away from where he is you get up to and rush over to the pair of girls to try and break up the fight.
“Edria, let go of your sister!” Jon yells as he tries to pull her off, but Edria shifts away and shoves Oraena’s face in the water, causing Ryuu to laugh and Aemon to grasp onto you with worry.
“Edria!” You yell out, but it’s like going to deaf ears. The Queensguard try to step in, but you assure them that it’s okay. And luckily Jon manages to break them apart, letting you rush over to Oraena to pull her out of the water.
“Tell me what happened?” You demand from both of them as you grab Oraena’s chin as you notice scratch marks on her face. “Now.”
“Oraena splashed water in my eye after I told her not to and it stung!” Edria shouts and pulls away from Jon. “She—”
“Edria bit me!” Oraena counters and throws her arm up to show the bite mark on her wrist. “And she shoved me in the water!” Oraena looks up at you with her eyes clouding with tears and then glances at Jon. “I didn’t do anything wrong,” she whines.
You let go of her and then look over at Jon and meet his gaze. You don’t say anything, but you share a speechless conversation through your gazes.
“You’re both grounded, we’ll come up with your punishments tomorrow Oraena,” Jon breaks it to them. “Edria, since you swung first you won’t attend training for a week, nor can you go dragon riding for that same amount of time.”
Edria gasps and twists around to face you with that same disbelief. “Mother, you cannot allow this!”
You nod. “I can and I will, you're sisters, not enemies at war. Now go to separate parts of the beach.”
Edria huffs out before she yells and kicks sand as she stomps away, whilst Aemon steps towards Oraena and signs at her very seriously. “Careful, O, you might want to get that checked out, Edria has rabies.”
Ryuu chuckles loudly and makes sure to let his sister know what was said. “Edria does have rabies! Nice one Aemon!”
Edria spins around quickly and parts her lips to speak, but you shoot her a warning look and she just glares at her bothers before she turns again and continues to storm away.
“Daddy please it was not my fault,” Oraena begs Jon as she begins to follow him towards where Rhaenyra stayed. “You can’t punish me.”
Jon tries not to look at her since he knows he’ll probably give in if he does. “Sorry, O, but your mother is right. You’re sisters, you shouldn’t be fighting.” He tells her.
“Ryuu,” you call out without having to look over at him. “Leave Edria alone. You’ll get her even angrier.”
“Will not!”
You roll your eyes and get ready to add onto the converstion Jon is having, but you’re quickly cut off by a different voice approaching the beach.
“Your Grace, my prince.”
You look up and see Ser May dragging Robb along with her, and you notice he’s sporting a bloody nose. After her follows Ser Podrick with Daeron following at his side, and he has a cut lip.
Great another fight.
“What happened?” You ask as you slowly approach the group meeting you half way
“We found them fighting just in the valley above,” Ser May shares and pushes Robb towards you.
You swallow thickly and glance at both boys, seeing that Daeron lowers his head out of shame, and Robb just glares past you, making sure not to look at either Jon or you.
“Were there any weapons?” You ask the Knights.
Ser Podrick shakes his head. “No, Your Grace. They seemed to be just fist fighting.”
You exhale deeply and nod. “Okay,” you whisper. “Thank you. Leave us.” You then look over at Rhaenyra and point your eyes to the castle.
And without fault the two knights do as they were ordered, whilst Rhaenyra takes her siblings along with her, even if they want to stay and gossip.
It’s only once the kids are out of ear shot that Jon interrogates both boys. “I will ask nicely now, what happened? I want the truth.”
Robb meets Jon’s gaze and then yours, but he then drops his eyes and doesn’t answer, letting you press Daeron with a glare.
But he stays quiet too.
“You both are grown men,” Jon raises his voice. “Act like one and tell us what happened now!”
Both boys continue to stay quiet for a moment longer, so Jon steps forward and grabs Robb by the collar of his shirt and presses him with anger. “You are the oldest, Robb, tell me now.”
Robb scoffs and pushes Jon away so he’d let go of him.
“Robb,” you say softer. “Daeron, one of you has to speak. Your mother demands it.”
Just as you think you’d have to repeat yourself Robb grumbles. “Daeron claimed Helios. My dragon! My brother's dragon!” He sneers out at Daeron.
Damn it.
I told you already I did not do it on purpose,” Daeron argues back softer. “It was not to spite you.”
You and Jon share a concerned look. And rather than trying to solve this, Jon lets you do it since you know more about dragons.
“Robb, it does not work like that and you know it. Yes I am sorry that it happened, but…it was just not fate for you to bond with Helios.” You try to grab his shoulder but he steps back from your touch. “Robb, you can bond with another. This is not the end and nothing to get angry over. Fate did not want it that way, it’s that simple.”
Robb sniffles and then glares at you. “You told me. You promised!”
You shake your head. “I did not do such a thing—”
“We were here for me!” Robb cuts you off abruptly. “But as always Daeron makes it about him!” Robb points at his brother and begins to stomp towards him, but Jon pulls him back. “Helios was my dragon!”
“Helios was no one’s dragon,” Jon rebuttals. “And it’s no reason to be fighting your brother for it.”
“He is not my brother,” Robb hisses and pulls his arm away from Jon’s touch. “He’s the son of a—”
“Robb,” you bellow. “That’s enough. Go to your quarters now. Calm down. We’ll go talk to you again.”
Robb throws his arms up and parts his lips to argue back, but he just glances at all of you before he lets out a feigned laugh and turns to storm away.
“Don’t listen to him, he doesn’t mean it,” Jon tries to assure Daeron. “He’s just angry.”
Daeron glances back at Robb and nods softly. “Yes, I know. You have to know I didn’t do it to be malicious. I found Helios when I was walking down to the beach and I just…” he pauses and his eyes soften as his lips tug to a smile. “I just had this feeling.”
You mirror his soft smile and nod. “Yes, we know that feeling exactly. And I know your intentions are pure. Robb is just…” you sigh. “Angry. Don’t let that ruin your moment. Okay? Celebrate if you must.” You grab his chin and caress it. “Congratulations my sweet sunspot.”
Daeron offers you a sweet smile and nods in comprhension.
You then exhale deeply and look to Jon. “I’ll go talk to the others, explain what happened.” You tell both men.
Jon nods and then presses a kiss on your cheek. “Go I want to talk to Daeron.”
You let your gaze linger on both Jon and Daeron once more before you break away and head for the castle alone with your thoughts.
Like why is it that Robb and Daeron can’t get along. And it’s not like no one can get along with Daeron, it’s just Robb who finds his indifferences with him. But why? You nursed the both of them, they got long as toddlers, you don’t favor one over the other, so why?
Sometimes it feels like you’re failing her…Daenerys. You try so hard, but no matter what, Robb can’t find it in his heart to welcome him, to think of him as one of his siblings. It can’t be just because they’re men, there has to be a reason, but what?
“I’m sorry Daenerys,” you whisper to the blue sky.
