(Over)Analyzing the Cards in Johnny’s Joker Trick (Part 1)
New character, new minute details to overly scrutinize and pretend have meaning!
As of Strive, Johnny’s Joker Trick Instant Kill has been retooled into an Overdrive, and with it, everyone now has a unique card taken from existing card suites. Are they randomly assigned? Or do they fit into some symbolic meaning? Let’s pretend its the latter!
Due to the sheer amount of characters and limited number of face cards, a handful of them overlap. It’s a little surprising that there’s no numeral cards or aces included, as those do have some symbolism based on the numbers, but maybe that in itself is already symbolic, that he views his opponents with relative seriousness, or just that he doesn’t both doing anything less than off the highest caliber.
Also to be noted that a lot of card symbolism is looser than something like tarot and doesn’t necessarily have as much concrete meaning, so I’m not gonna pretend this isn’t anything other than speculation and fiddling around. We’re bringing in some Cartomancy and a lot of the info I found could be a little muddled, if not contradictory
For the sake of cleanliness and coherency, let’s go by hierarchy. I’m also gonna be breaking this into two halves for the sake of length and not having a million character tags
-
The Joker- solely belongs to Happy Chaos. Batman jokes aside, this makes for an obvious one. Happy is the wild card, the unpredictable element. Though it was originally designed to be a trump card for Euchre, not it performs a variety of functions based on the game being played. It can be the highest-ranking, lowest-ranking, or serve some other technical function in a game. The value and usage of a joker card varies wildly based on the context, which fits Happy well (interestingly, Johnny doesn’t use the Joker card despite the design being based on himself)
-
Kings
King of Clubs- Shared between Ky Kiske and Zato-1. Contemporary King of Clubs cards are designed after Alexander the Great, which fits well for both the reigning monarch of Illyria and the former puppetmaster of the Assassin’s Guild. A lot of the symbolism I found involved leadership qualities such as intuition and determination. The suit itself is generally associated with nature, thanks to it being interpreted as a clover or as acorns, which may draw in some motifs about growth and change, which may also have some relevance with Ky’s ascent to the throne and subsequent abdication, and the dissolution of the Guild.
King of Diamonds- Held solely by Leo. In contemporary design this one is based of of Caesar, and while the man hopefully has little to do with the tyrannical behavior or assassination, there may be a form of connection in terms of battle prowess. It tends to be shown a little more negatively, either in terms of his domineering power or his sense of haughtiness. There’s also an association with wealth, which while not necessarily specific to Leo, it may fit in him being a powerful king and his association with the color yellow/gold
King of Hearts- Curiously, shared between Potemkin and Johnny. Johnny’s is an obvious choice, he sees himself as a king of romance and chivalry. Potemkin, however, has never been shown in a romantic light, unless it pertains to his patriotic love for his nation. Generally, the card has motifs of kindness, benevolence, and consideration, and both are shown as relatively mature gentleman-types, who care much for others. In an interesting bit of trivia, the King of Hearts is also sometimes called the ‘suicide king’ as it appears to be driving the sword into his own head. Fittingly, both Johnny and Potemkin both die trying to protect others in non-canonical endings, Johnny being murdered by Testament after trying to protect Dizzy in XX and in the drama CD, and Potemkin getting in the way of an attempted assassination in AC
King of Spades- Shared between Chipp and Bedman/Delilah. Design-wise, the most well-known iteration is based off of the biblical King David, known for his act of singlehandedly slaying the goliath with a stone. Though the two of them aren’t on the same end of the moral spectrum, both Chipp and Bedman are characterized by fighting difficult odds for their own sake and the sake of helping others. The spade suit more generally has an association with violence, as it can be interpreted as a blade (in addition to a leaf or a trowel), and both are known for their usage of blades and get into a lot of physical altercations. Interestingly, Bedman is the only King card who hasn’t held any canonical position of authority. Likewise, Chipp’s is self-bestowed

Hai as a decently new utapri fan I wanted to ask your opinion on how new fans should get into utapri after finishing the anime. Should they play through the otomes games or maybe try listening to the Masterpiece shows instead?
Welcome to Utapri! I hope you're enjoying the ride so far! And as someone who has been here for 12 years, welcome to Utapri hell, this is your life now! (with love of course)
Since the Masterpiece shows are all alternate universes/acting, it doesn't technically matter? So the real question is, do you like the idol side or the romance side more? Idol side, go for the masterpiece shows. Romance go for the games. And honestly switch around as you please. Just get to SOME game knowledge at some point because that's where you really learn about the boys after all. Personally it's best to know at least a little from everything.
Also the next most important thing will be whether you know Japanese or not. Because currently the anime, movies, and Starish special are the only things available in English. So what you can enjoy is more limited. Shining Live was in English for it's lifespan, and has some archives out there. Live Emotion we can only hope will have an English version but we do not know currently.
Now my answer to assist gets real long so gonna put it under a cut for everyone's sanity.
If you know Japanese, absolutely go enjoy the otome games, all of which have updated ports on the Switch! The release order and thus suggested order would be Repeat, Amazing Aria and Sweet Serenade, Debut, All Star, and finally All Star After Secret. And one day we'll have Dolce Vita.
If you want Quartet Night, while you meet them in Debut, their routes start with All Star. Ringo and Ryuuya have routes in Sweet Serenade and All Star if you're looking for them. Mitsuo in Amazing Aria is well....you'll see.
If you don't know Japanese, I still suggest looking into the games, but your options are more limited. ShiningWonderland has a fantastic crew pushing out translations. They're working on Repeat for Starish and All Star for QN currently. Couple of the routes are finished for at least one ending and others seem to be nearing completion. But I can't speak for that team past that. They are all wonderful people though!
If you don't mind getting a shortened, not amazing experience. There are some old summaries floating around from Breadmasterlee. Those, plus some friends who could understand enough, were how I learned parts of the games back in the day. Not the preferred experience though.
You could also technically struggle your way through with like Google Lens translation? Definitely not recommended though.
As for the masterpiece shows, again if you know Japanese, just enjoy them. If you wanna know what order they released in, the sets were as follows: Masquerade Mirage, Tenka Muteki no Shinobimichi, and Joker Trap Bloody Shadows, Pirates of the Frontier, Every Buddy!, and Polaris Lost Alice, Trios, and The Forest of Lycoris Dreaming of OZ, Never Again Neverland, and Faust Last Cantata
I know that next to last set, the Shining Masterpiece Shows, have translations by Kanasmusings. You can also find translations for some other dramas there, and subtitles for a majority of the stage plays (you will need your own file or DVD/BD).
The most recent Dramatic Masterpiece Shows seem to be works in progress at the moment. I know utapri-translations-uuuu is working on Heavens! And the CDs can be found in my masterlist.
The older ones I don't know off the top of my head if translations exist at all.
There are also Discord servers amongst the community, some public and some private, with resources and amazing people. But I'm not sure on how appropriate it would be to post the public ones. They don't allow piracy so as much as I push buying legally, uh, understandably linking from my blog publicly feels wrong. You can very likely find said discords via the Twitter fandom. Or talk to me in DMs.
This is a lot of info I know. Trying to cover as many bases as I can off the top of my head! Enjoy Utapri!

DIABOLIK LOVERS MORE CHARACTER SONG Vol.1 Arcadia by Sakamaki Ayato Mini Drama “Tide of Battle”
Original title: 勝敗の行方
Source: Diabolik Lovers CHARACTER SONG Vol. 1 Mini Drama
Audio: Here
Seiyuu: Midorikawa Hikaru
Translator’s note: These CDs take me back because I used to translate a lot of these generic ‘Diaboy sucks your blood in a random situation’ CDs which define the earlier era of the franchise. :p There isn’t anything special about the script, but I suppose it’s still enjoyable for those who stan the character.
*Flip flip flip*
“...I lost. ーー Ugh.”
You tilt your head to the side.
“...Didn’t you hear me when I said I lost!? That should be pretty obvious since you have no cards left in your hand! ...Damnit. Why couldn’t you pull the joker? (1) You sure have some nerve to win from me, Chichinashi!”
Ayato gets up and starts walking away.
“And to think I was so kind as to play with you to kill some time...”
You tell him that there’s nothing to be so upset about.
“Haah...? I’m not mad! You really think I’d lose my temper over some stupid card game with someone like you!? Idiot! Don’t think so highly of yourself! ーー Hmph!”
You note that he looks upset.
“...Aah? Oh shut up already.”
You tell him to stop sulking.
“Haah!? Me, sulking? Don’t be spoutin’ bullcrap!”
*Rustle*
“Whatcha grabbin’ the hem of my shirt for? You’ll stretch out the fabric, let go.”
You insist that he’s being a grump.
“Yeah, I’m in a bad mood. I absolutely loathe the thought of losin’ after all.”
You promise to make it up to him.
“Hm? You want to cheer me up that badly?”
You seem determined.
“...Idiot. Don’t make such a serious face.”
He leans in close.
“There’s only one thing for you to do to accomplish said goal, no?”
*Rustle*
“Let me suck my blood. ...That’ll fix my mood. So, what do you say?”
You nod and pull down your collar.
*Rustle*
“Hehe...If only you were this obedient all the time. ...I guess you want me to suck from your neck since you pulled down your collar? You’ve really upped your begging game, huh? ...Sure, I’ll suck from here as you wish.”
*Rustle rustle*
Ayato bites you.
“Hahn...Nn...”
*Sluuuurp*
“Mmh...”
*Sluuuurp*
“...Hah.”
*Rustle*
“...Ah? No, not yet. So gimme more...Mmh...”
*Sluuuurp*
“Nn...”
*Sluuuurp*
“Hah...”
*Rustle*
“What’s with that face, huh? Why are you the one feelin’ good when this is supposed to be a way of liftin’ my spirit? Well, I guess you could say that seein’ you pull that sorta expression puts me in a good mood too.”
Ayato continues sucking your blood.
“Hahn...Mmh...”
*Sluuuurp*
“...Hah. I already feel a lot better. But I guess I haven’t quite had enough just yet.”
*Sluuuurp*
“Hahn...Nn...”
*Sluuuurp*
“...Hah.”
*Rustle*
“Hey. Don’t think you’re the shit just ‘cause you beat me at cards once. That was a dumb luck just now. You’re no match for me. I’m sure this situation should make that very clear. You have no other choice but to let me have my way with you. ...For the rest of your life. ーー Right! Next time I’m bored, I’ll toy with you instead. No way I’m ever touchin’ that stupid card game again.
You chuckle.
“...What’s so funny, huh!? I’m not frustrated or anythin’...! I just don’t like how you made such a cocky face after winnin’ against me!”
You deny his statement.
“Hell yeah you did! You were grinnin’ from one ear to another! It hella pissed me off!”
You apologize again.
“Idiot. Stop sayin’ sorry already. ...Besides, now I know that card games are a horrible way to kill time. Those sorta games are for lil’ kids. If I want to have fun...”
*Rustle*
“You’re the ultimate toy. ...Right, Chichinashi? Hehe...”
*Rustle*
“Come on. Lift your face. I’ll kiss you next. ...Didn’t you hear me earlier when I said I wasn’t satisfied yet?”
You hesitate.
“Come on, part your lips already. Mmh...”
Ayato kisses you passionately.
“...Hah. ...Hehehe. You really make the best faces. I’m in a great mood again thanks to that. Haha...Aren’t you glad? You didn’t like seeing me upset, correct? You were grabbin’ onto my shirt and actin’ all meek...I guess you were worried ‘bout putting me in a bad mood, huh? Haha...Are you really that crazy ‘bout me?”
You stubbornly shake your head.
“...Ah? You wanna claim that you don’t like me at all?”
He leans in close again.
“Like you could ever say those words. ...If anything, I wouldn’t let you spout nonsense like that. Mmh...”
*Smooch*
“Nn...”
*Smooch*
“...Hahn...Nn...”
*Smooch*
“...What’s the matter? Reached your limit already?”
he continues making out with you.
“...Hahaha. Seems like you’re no match for me after all. ...Still. Right. If there was one category in which you could beat me, it would be with how much you love me. I guess...? I wouldn’t mind admittin’ defeat in that regard. ...I mean, just look at how esctatic you are just from some kisses...Mmh...”
*Smooch*
“I know damn well...Whenever I suck your blood or kiss you, you’ve got ‘I want more’ written all over your face...I bet you’re actually aware of this as well, right? ...Hahaha. You really are somethin’ else, givin’ your feelings away so easily.”
You grow embarrassed.
“...Fine. If you admit it, I wouldn’t mind givin’ you exactly what you want.”
*Rustle*
“To your heart’s content, that is. ...Mmh.”
*Rustle*
“Aah...? What’s the problem? Would you rather have me bite you instead? Hahaha...No need to look so disappointed. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to suck your blood afterwards. I happen to like the face you make...”
*Smooch*
“...in either scenario, you see. Mmh...”
*Smooch*
“Nn...”
ーー THE END ーー
Translation notes
(1) They are playing ババ抜き or ‘baba-nuki’, which is the Japanese name for ‘Old Maid’. Both players take cards from each other’s hand in search of pairs. However, there is one card replaced by the Joker and whoever is left with it at the end, loses.

Hi, are there any fukumoto and odagiri interaction? I mean what do this both men view eachother as.
Sorry for the late reply! I completely missed those asks!
Canonically...
...in the anime no, they don't really interact.
They are together in 3 episodes, the two titled "Joker Game" that open the series and the last one "XX (Double Cross)".
In "Joker Game" they don't exchange a word.
They weren't even seated close when they were taking classes.
We merely see them positioned close in some scenes, though there's no interaction between them.
(Note though that before this scene took place Fukumoto was shown talking with Amari, not with Odagiri)
In "XX (Double Cross)" we don't really get an interaction but when Odagiri insists that, according to him, it's unlikely Karl Schneider committed suicide but can't explain what had happened, Fukumoto (along with Amari) volunteers a possible explanation that would support Odagiri's idea Schneider didn't commit suicide:
Amari: This Schneider… He was fluent in English, wasn't he? Tazaki: Is that from him testing the pen? Amari: Maybe. But it also looks like two crosses side by side. Odagiri: In English, "Double Cross" means "to betray." Someone betrayed Schneider… Or he betrayed them. Note that in the episode this is true, Schneider was killed by a spy, while in the novel this is not the case.
Anyway, Odagiri doesn't view Fukumoto as an ally in this episode. In the Odagiri vision Fukumoto looks no better than the other spies.
And when the boys leave the place to do the tasks Yuuki assigned them they all leave smiling in a way that Odagiri clearly doesn't perceive as friendly.
So we can even suppose that Fukumoto had good intentions... but Odagiri missed them.
This is how Odagiri sees the other D Agency boys in canon.
Odagiri: Being completely unencumbered… It requires not believing in anything else in the world… Abandoning trivial things like love and hate, betraying what's in your heart that supports you, and casting it aside. No matter how I tried, I couldn't rid myself of Chizu-nee's memory. No… If I'd abandoned her, I'd no longer be sure of my reason for living. In the end, I'll never be able to become a monster like them.
For "monster" the original Japanese text uses 'Bakemono' (化け物). 'Bakemono' is generally translated as a "monster", but it usually defines monsters who once were humans (or animals or other things) and then turned into ghosts, goblings, strange creatures, apparitions which can be monstrous in nature, the word actually losely meaning "(someone/something) transformed into (that) thing", differently from, let's say, 'kaibutsu' (怪物) which are naturally born monsters.
In short Odagiri isn't saying the spies were born as monsters like that and he wasn't, just that they were capable to turn into something like that and he wasn't.
We've no info on what Fukumoto thinks.
So why people pairs them together?
Skipping personal preference due to extra material mostly which was clearly made to support this.
From "Director Nomura introduction corner" you can see their profiles reference each other:
In the end cards they're shown together and, since who drew them had notes on them that said with whom they got along, you can speculate they get along well.
Fukumoto's profile also says:
Kamoku de kanjō o amari hyō ni dasazu, mukuchina Odagiri to wa kigaaurashī.
寡黙で感情をあまり表に出さず、無口な小田切とは気が合うらしい。
"He is quiet and doesn't show much emotion, and seems to get along well with the taciturn Odagiri."
We also have this card in which they're together...
Illustrations in which they're close...
They also have some minor interactions in the drama cd... though the drama cd are placed in parallel universes and are mostly humorous in nature so I'm not really going to report them, even though they confirm they get along well enough.
Sorry if it's not much but I hope it will be useful!

Now I know how "normies" feel
If you are familiar with Star Trek, terms like mind meld, warp drive, Starfleet, Orions, Klingons, The Q - they may perfect sense.
Doctor Who? TARDIS, regeneration, Dalek, The Master.
Game of Thrones? Iron Throne, Dothraki, Lannister, sexposition (OK that last one is because of the writers who coined it, not the show itself LOL)
So a few days ago I bought this CD audio drama which was on for only a few bucks. I bought it for the title, I will not lie:
(If you suddenly got an image of Robin Williams doing something unprintable to Orson, you have my sympathies.)
Back in the 1990s I played (or tried to, as I found it impossible) a video game on the old 3DO consolve called Space Hulk. It was based on the RPG franchise Warhammer 40,000. Which is in some respects bigger than Dungeons & Dragons (the gaming retailer Games Workshop even changed its name to Warhammer as that is all they sell now). Space Hulk is my only exposure to WH. So when I listened to this CD I realized something. I understood absolutely NONE of what I was listening to. I was totally locked out.
And it made me feel how a casual viewer or a first-timer might respond to seeing a Trek or Who for the first time if it doesn't provide any sort of jumping-on point. Obviously you can't spend time in every episode recapping. But even in most of the Doctor Who novels there is something first-timers can grasp on to. But Fist of Mork had the same feel that people in the Star Trek TNG episode "Darmok" must have had when they encountered a race that spoke only in metaphor. They understood the words, but not the meaning.
Which is why you end up with jokers like me spending 10 bucks on an audio drama because he thought the title was funny.
PS. This is not a criticism of the writers of Fist of Mork or Warhammer the game. I just find it fascinating to be on the receiving end for once and can understand why sometimes you hear actors talk about how they signed up for something like Star Trek or Star Wars but profess to understanding none of it.

Anime reaction request; Mysterious Joker (aka Kaitou Joker)
It's a series that follows the adventures of a phantom thief named Kaitou Joker, who goes around the world stealing treasures with his apprentice Hachi, while facing off against the police, his phantom thief rivals, brilliant detectives, and dangerous enemies.
Mysterious Joker is my favorite anime/manga because it has a great storyline. The perfect balance of comedy, mystery, and adventure. And most of the characters have their own fun design + personalities.
The anime was aired on October 6, 2014, and ended January 5, 2015. It has 4 seasons with 52 episodes in total.
I don't know where you watch anime, but you can watch the first two seasons on YouTube for free.
It also has 4 game books, a 3DS game, 133 manga chapters (only 77 chapters have been translated to English), two CD dramas, and 7 light novels.
Goddamn, you clearly love this franchise! (*´∀`)b Okay! I haven't watched this one. I'll give it a go! Phantom thief, eh? Sounds fun.

Translation: Joker Game Drama CD A Parody Box Full of What-Ifs Part 3
Aaaaaand... this is it, the last track for the latest Joker Game drama CD. I had an attack of the lazies, so this is super late. I deeply apologize for that.
This might be my last (for now) shit post in this fandom. Unless they announce a continuation of this stupid series. lol jk I’ll always be lurking.
Welcome to the D-Agency restaurant. May I take your order?
Warning: Have fun...? Also, as usual, please don’t repost anywhere. Thanks!
Part 1 - 第1話「RPG Parody~ What If Sakuma-san Became A Hero~」 Part 2 - 第2話「Zoo Parody~ What If Sakuma-san Became a Zookeeper~」
第3話「Restaurant Parody~ What If Sakuma-san Is The Part-timers’ Leader~」
Sakuma: One gratin, one tomato pasta and two of the chef’s salad!
Fukumoto: Got it! The cheese hamburger is done!
Odagiri: #11’s dessert is also done!
Sakuma: Okay, I’ll go take it! How much time left for #5’s pizza?
Fukumoto: It needs to be in the oven for 2 more minutes, adding the prep time, it’ll be ready at around 3 minutes!
Sakuma: Okay, got it!
Odagiri: I’ll take care of the salad, so please make the gratin and the pasta.
Fukumoto: Yeah.
Sakuma: We’re really swamped today! Huh, speaking of which, where’s Kaminaga?
Odagiri: If you’re looking for Kaminaga, then he’s at a table at the back…
Sakuma: Huh?
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Kaminaga: Eh~ is that so~? Oh, hey, if it’s okay, let’s exchange LINE accounts! When you come again next time, I’ll give you a special discount~!
Sakuma: KAAAAAMIIIIIINAAAAGAAAA!!!!!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sakuma: It’s finally calmed down…
Fukumoto: Thanks for the hard work! I’ll start preparing the staff meal now.
Sakuma: Thanks as always, Fukumoto.
Odagiri: I’ve also finished washing the dishes.
Sakuma: Thanks! I guess it’ll be calm until the dinner time rush.
Kaminaga: Good work guys~!
Sakuma: Kaminaga! I’ve told you so many times before! There’s a lot of problems in your work ethic!
Kaminaga: Eh? Did I do something?
Sakuma: Don’t ask for the customers’ contact information! Don’t sit on the table! Idle chatter more than need is just the start of trouble! Lunch time in a family restaurant is a battlefield! Work a bit more earnestly!
Kaminaga: Ehh… no one would want to come in such strict restaurant!
Fukumoto: Though it’s true that there’s problems with Kaminaga, it’s also true that we’re really understaffed.
Odagiri: Though we somehow, barely make it work every day, but there’s gotta be a limit if there’s only 2 people in the kitchen and 2 people in the hall.
Sakuma: B-but still---…!!
Kaminaga: Why don’t you ask the manager about it though? He might actually do something about it. As the part timers’ leader, I’m sure you understand that continuing this way would eventually be bad for us.
Sakuma: W-well, you’re right. Being understaffed means our quality of service is lowered. I’ll try to talk to the manager about it. Oh, a customer. I’ll go then.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sakuma: Have you decided on your order?
Hatano: The fried prawn meal set and the drink bar!
Sakuma: Fried prawn meal set and drink bar, okay.
Miyoshi: The meat from this “special demi glaze hamburger”, where is it from?
Sakuma: Uh… I--… I’ll ask the chef about it!
Miyoshi: Also, if you’re just reheating stuff from cold storage, it might have additives and preservatives, so please confirm that as well.
Sakuma: We make everything from scratch, so I think there’ll be none…
Miyoshi: Hmm? Is that so?
Hatano: It’s not like the meat’s gonna be poisonous if it did have some additives. As long as it doesn’t taste weird, then wouldn’t that be fine?
Miyoshi: You ate fried prawns yesterday as well, didn’t you? If you don’t eat a more nutritionally balanced meal, your height would never improve.
Hatano: You bastard--…!!
Sakuma: S-s-sir! P-please calm down!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sakuma: Fukumoto, the customer from earlier praised you! He said that the hamburger was delicious!
Fukumoto: Is that so? Thank you very much!
Kaminaga: The narcissistic guy who was so concerned over preservatives?
Sakuma: Hey! Don’t talk of our customers like that!
Kaminaga: Guys like that are all about organic food and natural food, how lame!
Fukumoto: Kaminaga, those two mean the same.
(TN: Kaminaga says “organic” in English and “有機栽培 / yuuki saibai” in Japanese. 有機栽培 = organically grown food.)
Odagiri: Because of Fukumoto’s delicious cooking, our customers have steadily increased, but to the point that we’re so busy, I wonder if this is a good or a bad thing.
Kaminaga: Then why don’t we make the restaurant for reservation-only?
Odagiri: Is there such a thing as a for reservation-only family restaurant?!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sakuma: Welcome~! Table for one?
Amari: No, there’s one more…
Sakuma: Ah-! S-sir, I’m sorry but we don’t allow pets inside the restaurant…
Amari: Eh?! Is that so? What do we do now, Frate?
Sakuma: Ahh… you didn’t have to look so disappointed…
Kaminaga: Is anything the matter?
Sakuma: Ah, Kaminaga. This customer here would like a seat with his dog, but we can’t possibly allow them inside the dining area–…
Kaminaga: Then why don’t we set up a table outside?
Sakuma: Huh?
Kaminaga: You know, just like a terrace seat. The weather’s warm today too, so I bet it’ll be perfect outside!
Sakuma: Well, that’s–…
Amari: That sounds great!
Sakuma: Eh?!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Fukumoto: So, it ended up like that huh?
Odagiri: Only that part looks like an outdoor cafe overseas.
Fukumoto: It’s stylish though.
Kaminaga: Also, bringing the dog along, he’s drawing in the girls.
Odagiri: By “girl” you mean, that little girl?
Sakuma: Well, the customer looks satisfied. It’s all fine then.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Kaminaga: Thanks for waiting! Your order of beef stockpot set, a large serving of rice, and strawberry pancakes!
Tazaki: Ah, excuse me, I’m the one who ordered the strawberry pancakes.
Kaminaga: I’m sorry! I’ll fix it right away!
Jitsui: It’s alright, it’s a common occurrence, so please don’t mind it.
Kaminaga: *sighs*
Jitsui: Hm? Is something the matter?
Kaminaga: So close… if only you were a girl, I would’ve asked for your contact info!
Jitsui: Ahaha! That’s too bad, isn’t it? Though, I wouldn’t mind if you asked.
Kaminaga: I’m not interested in guys’ contact info though~
Sakuma: KAMINAGAAAAAAAA!!!
Kaminaga: Oh shit, our team leader’s super mad! Well then, please enjoy your meal!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sakuma: Good work today! Once you’ve finished with the closing, you guys can go home.
Fukumoto: I want to plan for the desserts that we’re going to serve next month.
Sakuma: That’s fine, but make sure you don’t go home too late, okay? Well then, I’ll go and talk to the manager about hiring new people.
Kaminaga: Good work today~!
Odagiri: Thanks for your hard work.
Kaminaga: New hires huh… what do you think?
Odagiri: We’re a special case after all, and since it’s a chain restaurant, we need to go by the HQ’s guidelines.
Fukumoto: Well, it’s not like we’re hiring a regular, we just need part timers, so I don’t think we still need the HQ’s permission for that, as long as the manager says okay.
Kaminaga: If it’s a cute girl that gets hired, then all the better~!
Odagiri: Earlier, I heard that you were flirting with a cute boy earlier. So you’re up for anything, as long as they’re cute?
Kaminaga: Huh?!
Fukumoto: Sakuma-san was talking about it, about how you don’t care which gender you’re flirting with anymore.
Kaminaga: No! No! I did talk to that guy earlier but not in that sense! It’s not like I asked for his contact info anyway!
Odagiri: There’s only the 2 of you manning the hall, so don’t make too much trouble.
Kaminaga: I get it~ I am working properly~
Odagiri: Oh yeah, weren’t planning for the menu? What are you making?
Fukumoto: I want to make desserts that use melons.
Odagiri: Melons are good.
Kaminaga: I like peaches better!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
*Sakuma knocking*
Yuuki: Enter.
Sakuma: Please excuse me. I’d like to ask for advice regarding the employees--…
Yuuki: About hiring new employees, right?
Sakuma: Ah--… yes!! As of now, the ones assigned in the kitchen are Fukumoto and Odagiri, the ones in the hall are me and Kaminaga, but truthfully speaking, our manpower is not enough, especially during the lunch time rush. I believe that if this continues, we’re going to have complaints.
Yuuki: And so, you want new workers?
Sakuma: Yes. I believe that if we add more manpower, we can serve our customers even more smoothly than how we’re doing currently.
Yuuki: Hm.
Sakuma: *There might be no hope, huh…*
Yuuki: Fine by me.
Sakuma: Eh?!
Yuuki: I’ll be in charge of interviewing new hires.
Sakuma: Is that so? Thank you very much!
Yuuki: You! What do you think is the most important thing that a part-timer must have?
Sakuma: A… a passion for work?
Yuuki: Are you stupid? Such a thing would help nothing. This is what we must look for.
Sakuma: Please excuse me. T-this is--…?! Just what in the world are these conditions!? Do part timers in a restaurant really need these skills?! I’m sure as hell that they don’t!
Yuuki: These requirements must all be met. We don’t need anyone useless, after all.
Sakuma: B-but! I think there’s no one who would clear all this conditions--…!
Yuuki: If there’s no one, then that’s the end of the story. This is good timing too. Make Kaminaga, Fukumoto and Odagiri take this test as well.
Sakuma: T-this is impossible! If they fail, please don’t fire them!
Yuuki: I’ll be the one officiating it. You just stay out of it and do your work as usual.
Sakuma: I--… I understand.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sakuma: General knowledge, intelligence, physical prowess, social skills. I thought that there will be no one who would pass with a complete set of all these skills, since the standards are too high. But there were eight men, no eight monsters who were able to pass the bar, one by one.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sakuma: So… why did it turn out this way?!
Miyoshi: Wash this plate again!
Hatano: Huuuh?! I’ve already washed it!
Miyoshi: You leave a lot of residue, Hatano.
Hatano: If you’re gonna complain, then wash it yourself!
Tazaki: Ah, ah, don’t fight!
Amari: Ah! This parfait looks good~! Is this a new creation?
Jitsui: Please don’t snitch food, Amari-san!
Amari: I won’t!
Jitsui: There’s already a previous incident, so I can’t trust you.
Tazaki: Is this dish ready to be taken to the customer?
Kaminaga: Ah. I’m the one who took their order, so I’ll take it.
Odagiri: No idle chatting!
Fukumoto: Table 10’s order is up!
Miyoshi: Hm? What’s wrong, Sakuma-san? If you need to do a number 1 or a number 2, then please go ahead.
Sakuma: I don’t need to go to the toilet! *sighs*
Normal employees would’ve been better!

Facts and Curiosities about RivaMika - Part 2
All credits go to Mundo RivaMika (Facebook) page. I just translated and am reposting with permission
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Mikasa in the manga calls Levi by his full title "Levi heishichou". The word "Heichou" is not wrong, it's just a diminutive. It shows the respect he has for him.
2) In a livestream promoting the first part of the third season. Hiroshi (Levi's seiyuu) and Yui (Mikasa's seiyuu) were the presenters. They even had a fun "Rol game". Here is the translation:
Yui (Mikasa): So... Looks like Levi heichou has to leave for an expedition now? right?
Hiroshi(Levi): Well, well...I'll do some entertainment in the dressing room.
Mikasa: Ehhh?! Really?! It's not for an expedition? Not for cleaning either?
Levi: Yeah, I guess. Maybe like that. I have things to do one by one. I've got to go.
Mikasa: You're leaving now? Is it okay if Mikasa doesn't go with you?
Levi: ... I'm sorry you have to speak for yourself.
Mikasa: That's too bad.
Levi: Yeah, you still have your mission, right?
Mikasa: Yes I do. This streaming still has 40 minutes to go.
*Burst out laughing*
3) Her tag on the Fanfiction platform has more than 630 stories and on the Ao3 platform she has approximately +820.
4) In the first cover of the magazine where the monthly manga where they both appear is published, Armin was included. However, in the end he did not appear.
Left = Published cover.
Right: Sketch.
5) Isayama has redrawn two scenes of them. The first is the look they both give each other at the trial and the second is Levi shirtless. The top part of the image is the one published in the monthly magazine, the second one in the official volumes.
6) There is a funny CD Drama where they have a cleaning battle.
7) In the Livestream prior to the first part of the third season, they drew a picture of the seiyuus with their respective characters. Yui=Mikasa, Hiroshi=Levi
8) Kanae Hazuki, the mangaka of the famous shoujo manga "Sukitte ii na yo", made a drawing of the two in the special edition of the magazine where the manga was published. If you ever wondered how the Rivamika shoujo version would look like, here is the answer ♡
9) It was selected as one of the best ships of 2018 due to the insurrection arc according to wikia. It was a moment of happiness for the fans of the ship, due to the fact that, at that time it didn't have the same popularity as today.
10) In one of the magazines that promoted the third season, yui ishikawa (Mikasa's Seiyuu) was interviewed. Here is the translation.
Interviewer: Levi asking Mikasa to help him convey a message, seems to show that he treats Mikasa differently from the rest.
Mikasa differently from the rest. In other words, it feels as if there is a sense of recognition towards her.
Ishikawa: Something like that. The thing is, Mikasa feels a burden of regret towards Levi because his past mistake caused his injury. Although she respects him, she still can't trust him 100% (chuckle). At the same time, perhaps due to the worries that still remain within her, she also believes that Eren's current situation is actually because of Levi. Because of her worried words, "How's your leg?", I received this instruction (during recording), "Because [Mikasa] feels uncomfortable there, please use a 'harder style of expression for the dialogue." As a result, [the production team] allowed me to pause even longer during that line. Even though Mikasa wants to thank Levi, she still possesses some of the animosity from before, so she can't be as direct, at least in one part.
11) The first fanart published of this ship in The Pixiv Platform was in February 2013. This is the one you see here.
12) Both promoted couple watches under the name of "the strongest couple of mankind". If you look closely at the image, you can see them on their wrists.
13) Both represent the "Joker" in SNK's official card collection.
14) They had a little over 25 moments omitted in the anime between the first 3 seasons. With the insurrection arc being the most cut.
15) They have more than 3,700 works (illustrations, doujinshis, novels, etc) on the Pixiv platform.
16) One of the most popular headcanons in the fandom, is one where Mikasa rescues Levi just as he did with her. This was only seen in the video games until chapter 135 was released.
End ♡. I hope you enjoyed it. I will bring part 3

Futaba Sakura for the ask meme!
Sexuality Headcanon: lesbian! of the girls she's probably the one i'm most set on with that but i've heard strikers is big yutaba hours so i'll see if that changes my thoughts when i beat it Gender Headcanon: trans girl and genderfluid are my favorite futaba gender headcanons but i can go pretty much any way here too, like joker A ship I have with said character: anntaba my beloveds!!! i think they'd have a really fun dynamic together and tiny gamer goblin x tall gorgeous model (who is also actually a gamer goblin) is just so delightful to me. it's also the only futaba ship i've read fic for that really rang true with her character to me so it has a special place in my heart. i also like the idea of her and kana reconnecting irl and ending up dating someday but we don't really know enough about kana for that to be much of a ship A BROTP I have with said character: JOKER!! i love the whole coffee family so much and they're a found-family-siblings dynamic that just feels really real and sweet to me. i find the family angle on their relationship much more cute and compelling than the potential romance and the collective sojiro + joker + futaba adoptive family unit is just so precious to me. (also futaba and sojiro themselves, holy shit, they are so soft) A NOTP I have with said character: i already mentioned mishima in his post and that i don't care for romantic joker/futaba here... it's not really a notp so much as just a meh-tp but shipping her with sumi doesn't really do anything for me despite being one of the most popular ships for both of them A random headcanon: she's been REALLY into the call of cthulhu ttrpg through novelizations/drama CDs/replays for a long time (along with all the various video games/visual novels/etc inspired by the mythos) and knows the rules in and out despite never having irls to play with. she ropes the phantom thieves (and sojiro) into a campaign she DMs after months of meticulous planning and turns out to be really really fucking good at DMing tabletop games General Opinion over said character: i absolutely adore her!!! even though i know she's not strictly canonically autistic she still manages to be one of the absolute best autistic characters i've seen in anything and my autistic ass greatly appreciates her for that alone, but on top of that she's also funny and adorable and relatable and a great addition to the cast. her popularity in the fandom is absolutely earned and from my sample size of 2 she's definitely my favorite persona navigator so far

DIABOLIK LOVERS MORE,BLOOD Yoyaku Tokuten Drama CD “Odessa’s Curse ~ The Cornered Vampires”
Original title: オデッサの呪い~追いつめられしヴァンパイアたち
Source: DIABOLIK LOVERS MORE,BLOOD Yoyaku Tokuten Drama CD “Odessa’s Curse ~ The Cornered Vampires” [CD not owned by me]
Audio: Here
Seiyuu: Toriumi Kousuke, Katsuyuki Konishi, Midorikawa Hikaru, Kaji Yuki, Hirakawa Daisuke, Kondou Takashi, Takahiro Sakurai, Kimura Ryouhei, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Kishio Daisuke
Translator’s note: I’ve always been really intrigued by this drama CD because the whole story besides Odessa’s curse is just really interesting. uwu It also provides some nice lore like finding out what is responsible for the massacre of Richter’s family. This really makes Laito being there to witness his end in the anime even more fitting. :p

You are playing Old Maid with the triplets.
Ayato: Oi, Chichinashi. Stop takin’ forever to decide and just pick one already! No matter which one you choose, it’s already set you’ll be left with the Joker in your hand. Hahaha...!
*Flip*
Ayato: ...!! Chichinashi...How dare you skillfully avoid the Joker like that!
Kanato: Fufufu...It’s my turn next, no? Well, we now know that Ayato currently has the Joker...So picking a card from this person whose foolish expressions would give away the Joker’s location in a heartbeat...
*Flip*
Kanato: ...Involves absolutely no risks either~
Laito: Hai, hai~! I’m up next! Geez~ Because Ayato exposed his own hand, it takes away all the thrill. How boring. Nfu~
*Flip*
Ayato: Fuck...! Next time I’ll make sure Chichinashi pulls it! ...There!
*Flip*
Ayato: Come on, Chichinashi. It’s your turn. Go ahead, pick one! Pull my Joker!
*Rustle rustle*
Ayato: Woah! Not that one! The one to the right! Pull that one!
Subaru: Hah! Old Maid, seriously? Are y’all a bunch of idiots? Also, you’re just forcin’ her to pull the Joker. Ridiculous. I don’t understand the fun in that.
Kanato: Fufu...Subaru. Do you want to join us?
Subaru: Haah!? You fuckin’ kiddin’ me!? Who would play along with that stupid game!
*Rustle rustle*
Shuu: Oi...Pipe down. Honestly, my Rachmaninov is completely ruined now. How will you make it up to me?
You offer he joins the game.
Shuu: Haah...? You sure have some nerve. You’re telling me to play Old Maid? Hah. Ridiculous. I’m not interested. ...If you’re that insistent on having me join, I guess you’ll have to beg me for it.
Laito: Shuu’s being unreasonable as usual, huh?
Shuu: Can you name me one person in this manor who isn’t oppressive?
Laito: Ahaha~ Well, you do have a point there.
Subaru: Exactly. I’d love to give you all a nice punch in the face.
Laito: Hold up, Subaru-kun! Is that the kind of language you use towards your dear older brothers?
Subaru: Heh. ‘Dear older brothers’, my ass. Not once in my life have I thought of you as my big bro.
Kanato: Say, Subaru? How do you feel about me?
Subaru: Haah!? You...You’re...Well...How do I put it...
Ayato: Actually, do you want to be viewed as an older brother, Kanato?
Kanato: Fufu, why of course I do. It has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? ‘Older brother’, that is.
Reiji enters the room.
Reiji: Haah...What nonsense are you lot bantering about this time? At a time like this.
Ayato: ‘At a time like this’? Did somethin’ happen?
Reiji: I’m not quite sure how to put it but...Well, I am sure this is simply some sort of prank, but please take a look at this.
*Flip*
Reiji: I found this pinned to the front door with a knife.
*Flip*
Laito: Hm~? Let’s see... ‘I will kill the Vampires’. What’s this?
Ayato: Could it be that!? A threatening letter!
Reiji: Well, I am sure it is someone trying to be funny. Although, I wonder if they are aware of us Vampires living in this manor, or if it’s a pure coincidence...
Shuu: How could it be a coincidence? This place is said to be a haunted house, but there’s no rumors of Vampires in particular living here. I’m sure they did it knowing very well what we are. ...Ah, what a drag.
Subaru: Hah!? Who would do somethin’ so painfully stupid!?
*Thud*
Reiji: Subaru! Please don’t destroy the chair. ...Well, those people are the only ones who come to mind.
Kanato: People aware of our identity as Vampires, as well as the fact we live here...You mean them, huh?
Ayato: ...Aahn? There’s people like that? ...What, Chichinashi?
You explain.
Ayato: Ah? ‘Mukami’? Ahー Now that you mention it, those guys exist. I totally forgot about them.
Laito: The Mukami’s, huh? But would they really bother attaching this to our door?
Shuu: Maybe they’re warning us about some sort of move they’ve got planned...or something?
Subaru: Che...Whatever it may be...I won’t feel satisfied until I show them who’s boss! ...Ah? No violence? ...Shut up. You’re in danger too! ...!! ...I-I’m just worried they might steal your blood, ‘kay!?
Laito: Ahahaha! Subaru-kun totally embarrassed himself just now!
Subaru: Shut up!!
Reiji: Calm down! Hm...Well, if that lot is behind this, I suppose there is no reason for us to worry. We can simply continue to go about our lives as we’ve always done.
Laito: True. If we react, I’m sure we’ll end up playing straight into their hands.
Reiji: Well, let us be cautious at least. I would rather not have our limousine end up total-loss again. ...Oh, what seems to be the matter? You seem awfully anxious?
You ask him for the letter.
Reiji: Eh? This paper? What are you going to do with it? Well, I don’t mind but...
*Flip*
Reiji: It makes me highly uncomfortable, so please get rid of it, okay?
ー You nod.
*SCENE SHIFTS*
Kou enters the room.
Kou: Ruki-kun~ Do you have a minute right now?
Ruki: What is it, Kou? I’m in the middle of reading a book right now.
Kou: Sorry for bothering you, but I’d like you to take a look at this.
*Flip*
Ruki: ...Hm? What is this?
Azusa: There’s ‘I will kill the Vampires’ written on it...
Kou: Uwah...!? Azusa-kun...! How long have you been standing behind me?
Azusa: Eh? I’ve been here this whole time though...Say, Kou? What’s the story behind this? It looks like a threatening letter...Say, you think so too...Don’t you, Justin?
Ruki: Exactly. Justin thinks so tooー Too bad Justin’s just a scar on your arm though.
Kou: Ruki-kun played along before giving him a reality check... (1)
Ruki: Who on earth would do this...? They are not beating around the bush, dropping terms such as ‘kill’...
Yuma: Ugh...It’s obviously those bastards!
Kou: You think so too, Yuma-kun?
Yuma: Yeah, ‘course! Those dudes are the only ones who know we are Vampires and could sniff out this place, no?
Ruki: I suppose they are declaring war. ...Hah. Seems like we have to show them their place.
Kou: Fufu~ Say, say, Ruki-kun...~? Are we going to show them what happens when you mess with us~?
Azusa: Does that hurt? Say...In that case, count me in too...Fufufu...
Yuma: Well, I guess we can use it as an opportunity to take that chick from them as well.
Ruki: We shouldn’t move just yet. First, we need to observe their movements.
Kou: Eeeh~? But if we sit around doing nothing, they might get the first hit off on us!
Ruki: Well, even though the Sakamaki household consists largely of individuals with just a single brain cell, I won’t deny that there are a few cunning ones amongst the bunch as well. I doubt they will strike without a proper plan.
Yuma: Well...Guess we have no other choice if ya say so. ...Che, this would have been the perfect chance to send those annoyin’ pests flyin’ tho.
Ruki: Preserve your strength for now. I am sure that we will soon have the chance to silence them once and for all.
Azusa: Aaah~...I’m so exicted...I can’t wait for them to hit me...~
Kou: Azusa-kun...Don’t you think it’s about time to stop that?
Ruki: Kou. Telling him that is pointless. Just let Azusa do as he pleases. Either way, I don’t want you guys to attack them without my permission. Understood?
Kou: Roger~ Well then...
*Flip*
Kou: Guess I’ll go toss this threatening letter in the trash.
Ruki: Wait, Kou. I’ll hold onto it.
Kou: Eh? Well, fine by me.
*Flip*
Kou: Do you want to get it checked for fingerprints or something?
Ruki: I’m hoping to track down the culprit through their handwriting. Confirming who is behind this would be our top priority at the moment.
Yuma: That’s Ruki for ya! We’re countin’ on ya, dude!
*TIMESKIP*
You enter the room in a panicked state.
*Thud*
Laito: ...Hm? Bitch-chan? What’s with the big rush? Also...You seem to be trembling? Are you okay?
You try and explain.
Laito: Calm down. It’s rare to see you so thoroughly terrified and shaking in fear. ...Eh? You want to know where Reiji is? He would be...
Reiji enters the room.
Reiji: What do you need from me? I just finished setting some tea.
*Cling*
Reiji: Ah...Good grief. This is painful to watch. You’re completely out of breath. Please calm down. Come on, take a seat here.
*Rustle*
Reiji: Have some tea and catch your breath first.
*Cling*
Reiji: We can talk afterwards.
Subaru bursts into the room.
Subaru: Oi, youーー!!
He runs up to you.
Subaru: ...What’s wrong!?
Laito: Nfu~ Geez, Subaru-kun. You didn’t have to come rushing to her side just because you sensed something was off.
Subaru: ...!! S-Shut up! It’s not like that...!
Reiji: You calm down too, Subaru. She seems to be acting abnormal, so I shall go call the others as well.
Laito: Bitch-chan~? Would a little kissy-kiss (2) help calm you down~? Nfu~
Subaru: Piss off with your ‘kissy-kiss’! You’re damn creepy!
*THUD*
Reiji: Subaru! How many times do I have to tell you to stop kicking the chairs? Who do you think has to look for new ones if they break? Please don’t increase my workload!
Shuu enters the room.
Shuu: I was having such a nice nap too...What’s the deal with this? I’m gonna kill you if it turns out to be nothing serious.
Kanato: Yes, my thoughts exactly. ...Right, Teddy? We were enjoying a wonderful chat, yet this pest got in the way.
Reiji: So, why did you burst in completely out of breath earlier? Depending on your explanation, I might have to punish you directly. Keeping that in mind, please tell us the whole story from beginning to end.
Shuu: ...Hold up. Where’s Ayato?
Reiji: Well...I searched the entire manor, but I couldn’t find him anywhere. ...Actually, Shuu, it’s a little vexing for you - the person who hasn’t been doing anything - to pose that question.
Ayato: ...I’m right here.
Kanato: ...! Ayato! ...Where does that blood come from?
Ayato: Figured I’d show this to you guys.
*Rustle*
Ayato: Here.
*Thud*
Laito: This is...Our Familiar, no? Are they dead?
Shuu: That stinks...Why would you drag this thing inside? It’s covered in blood...
Ayato: I found them dead in front of the car. Right, Chichinashi?
Subaru: You...got scared seeing this and came rushin’ here? Geez...I thought some serious shit went down! Don’t scare us like that!
Reiji: Calm down. I am sure there is little difference between the death of a Familiar and that of a person in her eyes. We cannot blame her for being surprised. ...However, who could be behind this?
Ayato: Couldn’t it be them? Those Mukami’s. They even sent us a threatening letter the other day.
Shuu: You think they killed a Familiar? Why wouldn’t they target us directly?
Subaru: What if it’s a warning? To tell us we’re next. Fuck...This pisses me off!
Reiji: Let’s assume they are the ones behind it, what would their motive be? Could they perhaps be asking us to hand her over?
Ayato: Chichinashi. Don’t you feel happy? They think you’re to kill for! (3) Hahaha...
Laito: It’s not like we’re forbidding Bitch-chan from having some fun with other guys every now and then though...~ It really isn’t about handing her over or not. ...Nfu~ They should just come here and beg for it on their knees.
Shuu: Well, that’s the only reason I can think of. ...That being said, I do think a threatening letter saying ‘I will kill the Vampires’ is kind of strange too.
Ayato: Huh? Why?
Shuu: Haah...Explaining it is such a drag...
Kanato: Fufu...Is she was their objective all along, they would write something like ‘hand her over’ on the letter, no? Besides, us Vampires don’t fear death, so why use the word ‘kill’?
Reiji: In short, there is a possibility that the person who wrote this, does not know what death means to a Vampire. ...Which means, the culprit behind it...
Laito: Nfu~ ...Could it have been...a human?
You flinch.
Subaru: Don’t tell me...Was it you?
Ayato: I can see it. She has a hundred and one reasons to hold a grudge against us after all.
Shuu: Oi, you. Is that so?
You try and defend yourself.
Laito: Nfu~ Look at you desperately denying it. Don’t worry, Bitch-chan. I don’t dislike women who have lost sight of themselves out of sheer hatred~
Reiji: You. Tell us the truth.
*Ding・Dong*
Subaru: ...! Someone’s at the door! Oi...Come here!
The Mukami’s walk up to them.
Sakamaki’s: ...
Ruki: We’ve let ourselves in.
Kou: Yahoh~!
Ayato: ...Aah? What the fuck are you guys doin’ here?
Yuma: Well if that isn’t a warm welcome, aah!?
Kanato: What do you want? Please don’t enter uninvited.
Ruki: No, there is something I would like to ask.
Azusa: Our Familiar...was killed.
Reiji: ...! Yours too...?
Kou: Which meaaaans...~ Ruki-kun’s prediction was spot on after all.
Ruki: Did you guys perhaps receive a threatening letter?
Laito: Nfu~ In short, you got one too?
Ruki: I knew it. ...To tell the truth, we suspected you guys at first. However, we could not trace the finger prints or handwriting on the letter back to any of you.
Yuma: Then Ruki said there wasn’t anyone smart ‘nough amongst ya dudes to think of removin’ the fingerprints. ...Which brings us to today’s Familiar incident.
Azusa: Ruki said that...You guys would never kill in such a refined manner...
Subaru: Tsk...I feel like you’ve done nothin’ but insult us this whole time, you know? Am I just imaginin’ that?
Shuu: Well, you’re absolutely correct.
Ayato: Fuck, this pisses me off!
Reiji: I see...
Kanato: Say Reiji, do you have a clue?
Laito: Is the culprit Bitch-chan after all?
Kou: Eeh!? M-neko-chan!? You did this...?
You shake your head.
Ruki: That is unthinkable. This woman does not possess the strength to deliver a fatal blow to a Familiar.
Yuma: Then who is pullin’ this shit!? Ahー... Fuck, doin’ it all sneakily behind our backs too!
Azusa: A grudge...Exactly, they bear a grudge against us Vampires...Humans.
Reiji: I considered that possibility as well. For one, this whole situation is very similar to an incident which happened to a certain household of Vampires in the past.
Laito: Ooh? What are you referring to?
Ruki: You must be talking about ‘Odessa’s curse’, no?
Reiji: As expected, you are aware of the rumors. In that case, I can get straight to the point.
Ruki: It happened at the outskirts of a faraway country, did it not? A young girl living in the village fell in love with a Vampire nobleman.
Reiji: The maiden’s feelings were pure, but the Vampire male abused said love, indulging in her blood to his heart’s content, before abandoning her right as she had awakened.
Ruki: Now that the girl had become a Vampire, she found herself unable to return home, bearing strong feeling of resentment towards the Vampire, seeking revenge. Well, that was a quick run-down but that’s how the story goes.
Kou: Heeh, hadn’t heard about that one before. You’re so knowledgeable, Ruki-kun~
Kanato: So, how exactly did she intend to take revenge? I like those kind of fairytales.
Reiji: She would lure out Vampire families one by one to slaughter them. To each of them, a threatening letter similar to ours was delivered beforehand. They say that she did eventually track down the nobleman, but he managed to escape and without being able to fulfill her desire for revenge, she got caught in his trap and was beaten to death by the villagers.
Ayato: Keh! So you wanna convince us that this curse or whatever is still ‘round?
Ruki: Alternatively, it could be someone entirely different trying to make it look like the curse.
Ayato: Hmph! Who in their right mind would bother goin’ through all that trouble? If they wanna kill us, why not just go for it? I’ll beat them at their own game!
Shuu: You do have a point...There really is no point trying to link it to the curse. If they did it to scare us, then it’s pointless.
Laito: Hm...
Azusa: Say, Laito-san...? What’s wrong...? You seem lost in thought...
Laito: Hm...For some reason, that story kind of rings a bell...?
Yuma: Aah!? What do ya mean!?
Laito: Say, Reiji? That girl’s name...Odessa-chan, was it?
Reiji: Yes, exactly. Is there a problem with that?
Laito: Nfu~ You see...That Vampire nobleman might just be...me~
Ayato: Aah!? What did you just say!?
*Rustle*
Laito: ...!? Wait, Ayato-kun! Don’t grab my clothes, you’ll stretch them! ...It’s not my fault!
Shuu: Laito, don’t tell me...Did this happen when you went to hang out at Richter’s place for a bit?
Laito: Nfu~ You remembered? Exactly. I stayed there for a while but I was just bored out of my mind. When I headed out into town, I found a cute girl so I offered her a good time.
Ruki: ...!! Don’t tell me, is that how Lord Richter’s household...?
Kanato: The whole family died. I was convinced that was the work of a Vampire Hunter.
Subaru: If that’s the case...We can solve everything by handin’ over this fedora-wearin’ pervert to Odessa, right?
Laito: Wai...!? Odessa is long dead, right? In that case, it no longer concerns me. Besides, they might just be pretending it’s Odessa’s cursーー
They start tying Laito up.
Laito: Wha...!? Why are you tying me up!? I only condone bondage in the bedroom!
*Rustle rustle*
Laito: Ah...Hey...! ...Geez...
*Rustle*
Yuma: Shut it! Gotta tie these nice and tight so ya don’t escape...
Kou: Right? If we offer this guy to Odessa, we can rest assured at least.
Azusa: Aah~...How nice...I want to be tied up too...
Reiji: Haah...Who would have thought the culprit behind the curse would be right in front of our eyes...I did not even consider that.
Laito: W-Wait...Hey, Bitch-chan...Save me! I’m unrelated...! For one, I’m not Odessa’s only target, right...!?
Ruki: Even if she bears a grudge against Vampires as a whole, it makes sense for her to want to go for the main culprit which she failed to kill in the past, no? ...Okay. We’re going to lock him up in the underground dungeon. Carry him, you guys.
Yuma: Heave-hoh...
*Rustle*
Laito: ...Ah! Wait! Let me go! This is all one big misunderstanding...!!
Reiji: Haah...Laito. You brought this upon yourself. I have never fathomed my very own litte brother would be the culprit appearing in a Vampire legend.
Ayato: Hahaha...Well, can’t say it doesn’t sound like somethin’ Laito would do.
Kanato: If Richter were to find out about this...He might just kill Laito before Odessa gets the chance to. Fufufu~
Kou: ...Or rather, I figured you guys would try and help your brother out, but you’re all just getting a kick out of it. The bonds between the Sakamaki siblings are thin as ice, huh? ...Anyway, womanizers really are the worst scum, aren’t they? You think so too, don’t you, M-neko-chan? ...!? Hey, M-neko-chan?
Yuma: Oi! Don’t be standin’ there spacin’ out! Keep a proper eye out!
Subaru: Is somethin’ wrong with you? ...Ah? Somethin’ bothers you? What is it? Tell us.
Shuu: Ugh...Odessa’s going to get here while we’re wasting time. Tsk...What a drag.
Azusa: Fufufu~ Shuu-san...Are you perhaps scared of her?
Shuu: Aah? No way...
Laito: Nfu~ I think he was spot on, judging by that panicked attitude.
Shuu: Oi. You’re the one to blame for all of this for hooking up with some weird woman. At least reflect upon your actions a little!
Laito: How many times do I have to tell you guys that I’m not to blame...Geezー!
They start walking off towards the basement with Laito.
Ayato: Oi, Chichinashi? What’s the matter? We’re gonna leave you behind. ...Or do you want Odessa to get you? ...Right? Then hurry up. Geez, givin’ us extra trouble like that.
You tell Ayato about the letter’s handwriting.
Ayato: Ah? You remember seein’ the handwritin’ on that letter somewhere? You’re just seein’ things, right?
You insist.
Ayato: Ah? ‘Otou-san’? (4) Whatcha talkin’ ‘bout?
Kanato: Heeh...Who is that?
Ayato: Aah? Your pops? ...Pretty sure you’re just imaginin’ things. Honestly, you’re such a worrywart. Honestly, you should worry about your own blood before worryin’ ‘bout other things. ...I don’t understand.
He walks away.
???: Fufufu...Fufufu....
ーー THE END ーー
Translation notes
(1) ノリツッコミ or ‘nori-tsukkomi’ is a term used in Japanese humor. It refers to a person playing along with a dumb joke at first, only to become serious near the very end. A lot of Japanese comedy is based around the ‘boke’ or the ‘dumb guy/girl’ who will say something stupid and the other person is called te ‘tsukkomi’, a more serious character always pointing out the other’s dumb remarks.
(2) Laito uses the term チュチュ or ‘chu-chu’ in Japanese, which is the onomatopeia for a kiss and a very cutesy/childish word to use, so I tried to create the same effect in English.
(3) Literally he says ‘You’re being sought out that strongly, they’re willing to go this far’. I couldn’t resist using a pun in English though. :p
(4) I was a little confused by this part because Ayato repeats the exact same line right after and Kanato also asks her who this person is, so I assume they first thought that ‘Otou’ was the name of a person with the suffix ‘-san’ attached to it, rather than Yui referring to her actual dad.

Cool idea
Persona 1 and 2 switch plots. Tatsuya, Lisa and Eikichi play a Persona game as a bet, only to find a little boy crying. Following Ms. Amano's (the Ms. Saeko in this AU) advice, they went to the hospital for a checkup, all the while also visiting Jun, a sick boy who's in the hospital for a year. Then there's an earthquake and y'all know what happens. Jin is the Mai and Junichi is the Aki, while Maya Okumura is the Tadashi Kandori in this AU. Haven't really thought much on the Snow Queen quest tho. Also, there's the Ideal Jun who is more cheerful and talkative than the Real Jun and Akinara being Setsuko who's working for SEBEC.
Then, we have the Persona 1 cast with the Persona 2 plot. That follows Naoya, Elly, Nanjo, Mark, Brown, Lisa (the Yukino in the story) and Yukino (the Maya in the story) investigating the Mask Circle and JOKER case, which JOKER turned out to the Maki, who was angry at Naoya and the others for killing Big Sis Yukino in the Alaya Shrine fire during their childhood. Which is not entirely true because Nyarlathotep made fake memories to manipulate Maki. Haven't thought much of the Mask Circle, but I do know that it consists of Tadashi Kandori, Setsuko, Taro and perhaps Bernie (he plays a slight role in the Persona 1 CD drama as part of Mark's dancing group). Ofc this ends with Maki being part of their team of defeating Nyarly and Yukino being stabbed. Then having the others to forget their memories.
Then we have Persona 2: EP, where Naoya broke his promise to his friends and ended up starting the events of Persona 2: Innocent Sin all over again. Yukino, Ayase (as Ulala) and Kazuya (as Katsuya) investigating the murders in St. Hermelin before being confronted by JOKER (who's Chisato sorry forgot about Sudou) and awakening their personas. Then, they meet Reiji (Baofu) who claims to be from Hong Kong but speaks fluent Japanese, only to realised he's there to seek revenge on Kandori (also haven't thought much about that so sorry) Jun and Eikichi are the Nanjo and Elly as optional playable characters. Stuff happen and they found out Naoya has something to do with all of the stuff that's happen, then Nyarly tries to make Maki, Elly, Nanjo, Brown and Mark remember what happen in the 'Other Side' then Naoya returns to the 'Other Side' leaving 'This Side' Naoya to stay on 'This Side'.
Look I know its messy and I miss a lotta stuff so please have mercy

Miyoshi’s character profile: Part 3 (Alternate version from drama cd 2)
Miyoshi’s character profile: Part 3 (Alternate version from drama cd 2)
“Joker Game” Metropolitan Police Department D Division investigation file (「ジョーカー・ゲーム」警視庁D課捜査ファイル “Joker Game” Keishichō D-ka sōsa file)
Surname: Miyoshi - 三好(みよし) Name: Unknown Job: Police Detective (刑事 - Keiji) Works at: Metropolitan Police Department D Division (警視庁D課 - Keishichō D-ka) Role at D Division: Police Detective (刑事 - Keiji) Superior officers: Section Chief Yūki of D Division(D課の結城課長 - D-ka no Yūki Kachō), Subsection Chief Sakuma of D Division (D課の佐久間係長 - D-ka no Sakuma Kakarichō)
Brief introduction
He’s one of the members of D Division, a Division whose men are said to be extremely excellent humans with high evaluations in intelligence, physical ability, and mental fortitude who excel in their investigations but hold certain problems concerning their human nature.
Personality
He is highly intuitive, anticipating everything that’s about to happen and is also well informed as he knew about Sakuma prior to his arrival. He’s confident, cares a lot about his hair and his look, he’s cynical and has fun tricking Sakuma and making fun of him. He shows he’s pretty picky with his food, complaining the “Nyan Nyan Cafe” couldn’t serve food suitable for his taste as he’s apparently a self acclaimed gourmet. He’s fine with drinking ice coffee though. He likes to keep Sakuma in the dark about their plans, though he claims they didn’t mean to deceive him, but they warned him they’ll take decisions depending on the situation (also Miyoshi will deliberately show to Sakuma the wrong tape for the TV program “Extreme Report, 24 Hours Police” and send a video of another division in advance in its place). Miyoshi finds the shirts with the bear application horrid and would prefer to die that wear them. Despite this he’s apparently wearing a shirt with a strange picture he bought from a dreary shopping district for 980 yen during its closing out sale. Still, he gets furious if someone criticizes his fashion sense. Miyoshi seems to be a schemer that doesn’t hesitate to use underhanded tactics to ‘destroy’ the opposite team. Miyoshi considers uncool to fall and lose the cavalry battle. Miyoshi demands from Sakuma to treat them to dinner since he thoroughly wasted their time. Although Sakuma complains it’s implied he’ll do it.
Physical appearance
We’re supposed to assume his physical appearance remained the same as the one he has in the Anime. It’s not said what he wears usually but on the cover for the cd we can see he seems to wear the same suit he has in the Anime.
Though Japanese fanartists often enjoy themselves drawing him in a police uniform, Japanese media usually represents detectives from investigative divisions as wearing a suit… so while it’s possible Miyoshi occasionally wear a police uniform, it’s likely he’s usually wearing a suit.
Relationships
Mutō
We don’t really see Mutō and Miyoshi interact, we only know that Mutō is envious of D section’s success and would like to bring it down.
Yuuki
We don’t really see Yūki and Miyoshi interact, we only know that Yūki is his superior officer and the ones who assigns him his missions.
Sakuma
Miyoshi and Sakuma interact a lot through the story, they being possibly the ones who interact the most.
The first time Sakuma sees Miyoshi he’s playing cards with Hatano and winning. He sees Hatano accusing him of cheating but Miyoshi denies it and worries Hatano’s fuss might ruin his hair.
In their first interaction Miyoshi inadvertently (or not, with Miyoshi one can never be sure) slams the door against him, causing him to fall on the ground. Miyoshi seems surprised to see him there and Sakuma explains he was searching D Division but thinks he is at the wrong place. Miyoshi tells him that actually he had found it and shows he knows his name and that he’s the new Subsection Chief. Miyoshi expresses no interest in Sakuma introducing himself and warns him he’ll learn nothing from them that will please Mutō, showing he knows of Mutō’s plans to have Sakuma spying them.
From this point on Miyoshi will always be busy showing Sakuma he could figure things out in advance or that he knew them in advance. Miyoshi will claim they’ll follow Sakuma’s instructions, he also warns him that depending on the situation, they’ll make their own decisions… which fundamentally will result in Miyoshi (and the others) always doing as he pleases openly (speeding up without warning Sakuma or telling Hatano to shoot at the speeder) or behind Sakuma’s back (like having Jitsui dress up as Kirara-chan), withholding information from him or misleading him (like when he’ll let him believe that there are cats in the “Nyan Nyan Cafe” when instead there are humans dressed as cats or that the tape he’ll show him will be the one they’ll send to the tv station when actually he’ll send them another completely different).
Each time Miyoshi successfully tricks Sakuma he actually blames Sakuma for it, claiming he’s the one who misunderstood or wasn’t thorough enough. Although Sakuma complains, ultimately he let it slide and even come to expect that Miyoshi will trick him (when the tape sent turn out being different from the one he saw he immediately suspected Miyoshi was involved with the matter).
Miyoshi also takes advantage of Sakuma, by demanding he’ll pay dinner for them for having wasted their time with the sport even or for pushing the duty of writing a report for the rifle incident on him (even though it was Miyoshi’s idea). Again, while Sakuma complains he ultimately complies.
While Miyoshi acts polite with Sakuma, he’s often subtly making fun of him, correcting Sakuma’s claim that Kira Kanako is working to the café due to her willpower by claiming it’s just because the pay is high, implying Sakuma’s view was naïve, commenting Sakuma’s motto is “like a elementary school student’s kakizome, very nice” and congratulating with him for solving his first case in a manner that, according to Sakuma, implies that Sakuma had been a disappointment.
Still when Sakuma worries for Kirara-chan he asks him not to and to trust them to know how to handle it. Later, when Miyoshi will comments Sakuma should surely understand what kind of place the D Division is, what kind of people we are, Sakuma will deny it which seems to amuse Miyoshi who comments Sakuma will stick around for a very long time and that, in the meantime, they will be in his care.
It’s worth to mention that, during the cavalry battle Miyoshi wants to be the captain because Sakuma will be the captain of the opposite team and that, always according to Miyoshi, Sakuma is also knowledgeable in martial arts (Bujitsu) and therefore a strong opponent.
On the opposite side Sakuma is the first to notice how Miyoshi is staring at Odagiri, a sign he was paying him close attention.
Kaminaga
Kaminaga and Miyoshi seem to enjoy themselves by teasing/tricking Sakuma together. Kaminaga comments Miyoshi is a “self-acclaimed gourmet”. Miyoshi doesn’t counter it. During the sport festival they’re in the same group. Miyoshi scolds Kaminaga for hitting on someone else’s wife during the cavalry battle.
Hatano
Hatano and Miyoshi’s first interaction see the two of them playing cards. Hatano accuses Miyoshi of cheating, which displeases Miyoshi who, in turn complains at Hatano making a fuss. When, at the sport event, Miyoshi criticizes Hatano’s team shirt, Hatano criticizes Miyoshi’s team shirt back, deeply offending Miyoshi. According to Miyoshi Hatano has strong physical power. When patrolling, it’s Miyoshi who encourages Hatano to shoot at the wheels of a car to make it stop. Miyoshi also comments Hatano’s aim with a rifle is very precise.
Amari
Miyoshi’s interaction with Amari is extremely small.
Amari plays the role of the referee in Miyoshi’s card game with Hatano, though actually he doesn’t pay attention to the game but prefers to watch a tv program.
Jitsui
Miyoshi and Jitsui’s interaction is extremely small.
Jitsui defines Miyoshi a narcissist. During the sport event, Miyoshi complains that if Jitsui doesn’t hold him up a little higher, he’ll tilt at which Jitsui apologizes, claiming he’s rather incompetent at this and then asks/complain on why he should lift up a person who’s heavier than him.
Tazaki
Tazaki and Miyoshi’s interaction is practically inexistent.
Tazaki seems to think that Miyoshi, Kaminaga and Sakuma are having fun together at the Nyan Nyan café, mission how actually Miyoshi and Kaminaga are having fun at Sakuma’s expenses.
Tazaki comments that Miyoshi’s trick to make Sakuma fall during the cavalry battle at the sport event is dirty.
Fukumoto
Miyoshi and Fukumoto fundamentally do not interact at all.
We know though that Miyoshi doesn’t really appreciate the design of the shirts Fukumoto sewed for the sport event and that he thinks Fukumoto has a tight guard. Fukumoto realizes Miyoshi seems to be planning something during the cavalry battle.
Odagiri
Miyoshi and Odagiri’s interaction is extremely small.
It seems that both of them buy their clothes at the shopping center, though Miyoshi denies it.
During the Cavalry Battle, in order to win, Miyoshi threatens Odagiri to show his secret twitter account to his family, which causes Odagiri to panic and makes him drop Sakuma. Afterward Odagiri had to hurry erase his secret twitter account and seemed pretty broken by it.
Abilities
He knows how to drive.
Trivia
When divided in two teams, Sakuma’s team which has Sakuma, Fukumoto, Odagiri and Hatano is far superior in terms of physical strength and unity to the team that has Miyoshi, Kaminaga, Jitsui and Amari.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT DAISUGA AND CANON MOMENTS
Let’s appreciate these two for leading the team to the nationals (long post ahead)
1. Their goals and hard work for the team:
They’re always shown together planning for the team. When Asahi stopped playing volleyball, Noya got suspended, former coach Ukai stopped coaching. I felt bad for these two, they went through hard times as their captain and vice captain it’s their obligation to unite and guide the team. During their first year and second year they were used to failure and called flightless crows. Their expectations crumpled but they did not give up. It’s Daichi and Suga’s job to bring back the name of Karasuno to the nationals with the help of coach Ukai and Takeda, finally they made it to nationals, that’s why their former captain was so proud of them because they followed his words. When they didn't have their coach yet, they behaved as Karasuno’s temporary coaches (thank goodness Takeda’s an angel). Daichi was shown coaching the team in the first few episodes and Suga helped Tanaka bond Kageyama and Hinata. Suga questioned Daichi’s plan about the weird duo (Daichi’s a matchmaker) but after what Daichi said he helped the two bond and honed their skills.
In the HQ light novel “Melancholy of the third year student”, Asahi stated “with Sawamura leading the team and Sugawara taking care of the members, what could i possibly do to contribute” he witnessed Daichi and Suga walking together in the hallway; Asahi was impressed because of their dedication to guide the team to the nationals despite they’re in college prep class still they gave their best in guiding the team. Tanaka also acknowledged his senpais hard work that’s why he extremely respects his senpais, he was always there supporting the two. Coach Ukai madly respects Suga because he gave his setter position to Kageyama for the sake of the team and Daichi because he’s the best in motivating the team.
2. They know each other so well:
Daichi has this proud mode when he talks about Suga. When he told the team that Suga’s an experienced setter he had this “Yes that’s my amazing setter” face and when Suga did that amazing spike he jumped like a kid. In the HQ light novel “Sugawara’s decision” this happened during the first training camp. Suga was anxious to tell Daichi of his plan to give his setter position to Kageyama. When Suga finally told Ukai about his decision, Daichi and Asahi overheard their conversation and promised to win any match as much as they can. When Suga stated “I think in order to win, the person we need right now is Kageyama” Daichi and Asahi expressed their concern because the three promised to step on the court together (i get so emotional when the 3rd yrs play together). Daichi was worried and he told Suga that they can do something about it. THIS IS ACTUALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE HQ LNs because of what Suga thought after their discussion “He was glad to have sawamura who accepted him the way he is, as his teammate” AND I FUCKIN LOST IT HQ LN SHOULD BE ANIMATED. Daichi supported Suga’s decision for the team, “Daichi was very certain of Suga who had been with him for the past 3 years”, he even stopped Tanaka from interrupting Suga’s monologue telling him to listen.
Remember when Ukai announced the first lineup for dateko vs karasuno match and the shot was focused to Suga and back to Daichi; you can see Daichi did this weird eye thing glancing at Suga. Daichi’s proud moments of Suga were “I think you’ve revived too Suga” and “I’m glad you still want to fight” when he told Daichi “I do wish my tosses could’ve played a part in the victory”. When Asahi and Noya stopped coming to the team, the only members left were Suga, Daichi and the 2nd years. Suga also took the blame and Daichi was there for him. He was shown secretly listening to Yamaguchi and Suga’s conversation about the mop (and comforted him that he shouldn't blame himself. I’m kinda disappointed they didn't include this in the anime). These panels show their trust and respect for each other.
He cant even dare to hurt Suga (but lets Suga punch him anytime) and he knows when Suga goes to overthinking mode. Also Suga knows Daichi so well i think i’m gonna cry. Scolding Daichi when he was not vocal during the game; Suga’s known for being the only one who can lecture Daichi. When Daichi told Suga and Asahi that it’s better to hand over the team to the 2nd yrs, Suga knew Daichi didn't mean that; Daichi felt hopeless because they lost again. He knew Daichi wanted to stay and play volleyball and step on the orange court.
He’s also used to Daichi’s stern mode. Daichi was also shown being the one who can keep Suga in control like “Suga please calm down”. Their relationship isn’t fully conveyed in the anime but i’m thankful that creators created drama cds, light novels, extras, spin-offs and haikyuu stage play to let us know more about the characters.
3. The team parents:
They always discuss about their team members like Suga asking Daichi about Kageyama and Hinata (kagehina bond ep) and Tsukishima. In the haikyuu drama cds “what if karasuno’s manager isn’t shimizu kiyoko” and “the reason behind the t-shirts” they were worried about entrusting the manager’s job to Tanaka, Noya and Hinata. When the team was hungry because Kiyoko wasn’t there, Suga told Daichi to take action so he assigned the weird duo to buy foods for the team and they were the ones who planned for the names of the shirts with the help of Noya, Kiyoko was pissed at the two because they were busy thinking of their own shirts. In the haikyuu light novel “the last summer vacation” (Sources: 1|2) Suga watched the team with worry on his face because it was so hot so he approached Daichi and expressed his concern that the team will get sick from the heat. Coach Ukai overheard the discussion and called a meeting. They’re usually seen together in every scene in the anime, stage play, haikyuu light novel, extras, manga, spin-offs and drama cds, scolding Tanaka, Noya, Hinata, Kageyama and Tsukishima; discussing volleyball stuffs; and buying pork buns for the team. In the lets haikyuu and extras (hq spin-off) it’s actually semi-canon they’re karasuno’s team parents. They also have this karasuno christmas bonding tradition.
It was also STATED BY THE DIRECTOR IN THE HQ MAGAZINE AND THE VOICE ACTORS THAT DAICHI AND SUGA ARE THE TEAM PARENTS AND TANAKA’S THE BIG BROTHER (here are the links: 1| 2|3)
IT’S CANON!!!!!! IT’S DAMN RIGHT CANON!!!!!TEAM PARENTS DAISUGA IS CANON!!!!!!
4. Teasing, bickering and just them being dorks:
Suga teasing daichi is my jam. In the HQ LN “Yachi’s delivery mission” (Sources 1|2), this conversation frickin made me squeal like a mouse with laryngitis. After practice the team was thirsty and wanted something cold to eat. “It’s indeed hot, lets get ice pops before we head home” daichi stated then frickin SLY/LIL SHIT SUGA JUST CASUALLY SAID THIS REMARK “Oh that’s not a bad idea, are you going to treat us Daichi-san” HE FRICKIN ADDED -SAN. So the team didn't let the opportunity go away they screamed with joy and thanked Daichi. After what happened Daichi just glared at Suga who was smiling at him. Daichi’s a softie when Suga’s involved. Suga got Daichi to buy ice cream for the team. I REPEAT HQ LN SHOULD BE ANIMATED.
Daichi knows when Suga’s about to do something stupid and his antics. They argued about this. When Suga was mad at Daichi because he was implying that the last year shrine visit was nothing; he was so pissed he started fuming at daichi. Suga also told Daichi that steak just being steak is better over diced steak. Hyped suga and daichi trying to calm him down is the cutest shit. In the HQ LN “Tokyo Expedition: Captains’ Meeting”(Sources: 1|2), Daichi warned Suga about Kuroo because he knows how to read minds and loves mind games and Suga was like ‘you need to chill Daichi’. When it was Suga’s turn to pick a card from Daichi’s deck he picked the joker and twitched his brows, Daichi whispered at Suga telling him whenever he drew the joker his brows twitch so Suga massaged his brows. I REPEAT AGAIN THIS SHOULD BE ANIMATED. The other captains and vice captains are competing against each other but look at these frickin idiots they are helping each other. DAICHI OBSERVING SUGA THEN WARNED HIM ABOUT HIS TENDENCY OF TWITCHING HIS EYEBROWS. IM GONNA FRICKIN DO A BACKFLIP. Also Daichi and Suga love to make fun of asahi but when you frickin hurt asahi these two will frickin punch you in the face. Frickin daisugasting dorks.
5. They are always together and in sync:
In the manga, anime, extras, stage play, light novel, drama cds and official art/merchandise they’re usually frickin together and always in sync, same reactions and thoughts. Remember when Daichi looked at Suga (S1 ep24) like he was asking for approval then Suga nodded. That was so cute ugh.
Extras:
Suga is 6 months older than Daichi. June 13 and December 31. Their birth dates makes me go WAIT WHAT.
Suga and Daichi’s name meanings are compatible.
During the christmas bonding time, Suga received daichi’s gift, a daruma. Daichi bought it as a gift because it weighs like a volleyball (he’s such a volleyball nerd) and he told Suga that they should draw the eye together. (Source link)
Suga thought that Daichi was jealous of his t-shirt because the phrase on his shirt was cooler than his. (Source link)
Suga’s first synchronize attack was a success and he tossed it to Daichi. Coach Ukai assigned these two along with Tanaka to learn synchronize attack.(Remember when Daichi told Suga he borrowed coach ukai’s tablet so they can watch the videos together)
The way they look at each other like there’s nothing else to look at.
What I truly love about these two is their relationship and trust for each other. They complement each other, which makes them a good combination. They went through obstacles and look THEY MADE IT TO THE NATIONALS, kiyoko witnessed their progress and asahi thanked suga and daichi because they welcomed him again in the team, remember when asahi was not sure if they’d accept him to the team but daichi and suga were just laughing and made fun of him.
Their vice captain and captain interaction isn't fully expressed in the anime and i hope that everyone will appreciate them more! They made it to nationals! And them being proud of Hinata and Kageyama in the hq time skip is one of the best treasures Furudate sensei gave to us.
Lets talk about these two. Daisugasting volleyball idiots.
I rest my case.

Hi there! I'm here to say that you are incredible in some many ways omg!
I had first played the genshin chatroom some time ago and it was so much fun! Every single one was so in character that I kept replaying it to get all the answers (my fav is definitely Alhaitham 🤭). I even shared the link with my friends and they loved as well!
Today, I downloaded the genshin otome game and I was blown away at how amazing it was! My heart fluttered so many times with the lines and the kissing parts? My god 😳😳 loved that you kept Itto's eng voice since I absolutely adore Max Mittelman 😆
I also played the P5 visual novel! I only did Akira/Ren's moon route (and got the bad ending 🥹) but I'll definitely play again tomorrow (I wanted to replay it right after, but it's really late lol) The power that this game had over me and how you wrote Joker 😩 I literally blushed so many times and my heart sped up NO JOKE (and cried at my ending 🥲).
I can't fully express how much I adored these games with words, so I'm adding this Gif 😆 I was just like that monkey while playing them.
i want to hoard this ask in my inbox so bad bc ohmygod this made me smile and giggle and squeal please you are too kind ;w;
the chatroom, the otome game, and the p5 visual novel?????? i'm.... oh my goodness.... sobsob you literally played through all my pride and joys and i couldn't be happier.....
i'm so glad you liked the chatroom! and indeed, al haitham's room seems to be a lot of people's favorites hehehe i'm very very glad! and your friends loved it too aaaaa yay!!!
ah yes the kissing audios, aka the highlight of the game <3 i get a little sad when people don't play with the audio, because honestly gathering and implementing them took me an indecent period of time sldfjlsdj i debated internally a lot for itto's voice, but considering his jp va doesn't participate in the whole drama cd industry i figured i'd just go with the voice i liked more for itto hahah i'm so happy that everyone liked that!!
hehe joker was super fun to write because we do kinda see a little of his personality peek through in the game? but they were all super subtle, so he's like this mostly blank canvas that i can just connect some dots with <3 in case you're having trouble getting the good end(s), remember that i have a walkthrough!! :D i hope i broke your heart with the bad ending /j
thank you so much for taking the time to write and send this ask. you're a blessing and i hope you're having the greatest weekend and i hope for good things to come to you soon!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
