They tiredly rubbed at their eyes. What was this, the tenth, or the hundredth time at this? In all cases, it felt like it was a never-ending cycle that they were doomed to stay in.
“Josuke, would it really kill you to study for an hour straight?” Nudging the textbook on the coffee table, they tried to bring his attention back to the long-forgotten syllabus. “We’ve got a quiz in 3 days.”
“Still plenty of time, if you ask me,” he shrugged, not looking away from the television screen where he was trying to beat his high score (again) in one of his video games. “That’s a whole, uh, 72 hours.”
“If you hesitated while doing simple math, then I fear how you’ll face a few calculus problems.” Rolling their eyes, they sidled up to his back. “Come on. Didn’t Miss Tomoko threaten to smash the console if you don’t get at least a B+? With the looks of things, we’ll be lucky if you pass at all.”
Still without looking at them, he scowled. “First off, thanks for your obvious belief in me.” He could be petty when he wanted to, and this seemed like one of the times he wanted to pout and get snarky. “Second of all, she wouldn’t.”
At that, they arched an eyebrow at him. “Oh really? Did you forget that time she threw the television out of the window to keep her word when you flunked that history test?”
A few moments of silence, save for the sound effects coming from his game, and the furious tapping of buttons. “Alright, maybe she will. But still, we have a lot of time to go through the material.”
“Three days. Half of one you’ve already wasted, mind you.” They sighed, carefully wrapping their arms around his midsection and snuggling up to his broad back. A cheap trick, yes, but how else would they grab his attention without outright snatching the controller from his hands? “C’mon, Josuke. Miss Tomoko asked me to come over while she was out for this reason. I don’t wanna let her down, y’know?”
Josuke audibly swallowed, and they had to hold back a smug laugh. They had him right where they wanted him. “H-hey, who are you dating, me or my mom?”
They snorted, teasingly squeezing his waist. “My supposed-boyfriend’s got me right with him, and he’s been practically ignoring me for two hours. I’d say the answer’s currently neither of you.”
Instantly, the controller flew all across the room, landing somewhere unknown as his character on the screen crashed into explosives and died. Bingo, they wickedly thought to themself as Josuke finally turned around in their arms, his handsome face blocking out the ‘GAME OVER!’ flashing behind him.
Heavy eyebrows furrowed and lower lip jutted in a subconscious pout, he leaned in, caging them against the back of the sofa with his arms. “Dirty move.”
“You fell for it, though.” Grinning, they hooked their arms around his neck, tugging him a little closer. “Can’t believe I had to fight for your attention this long.”
“It slipped my mind that we’re finally alone,” he moaned pitifully, nudging their nose with his. “Next time I get distracted from you, punch me in the balls.” At the sinister look he saw in their eyes, he pulled back for a second, alarm on his face. “On second thought, I take that back. Don’t.”
“Fine, fine, I’ll keep my hands to myself.” Cocking their head to the side, they toyed with a few loose strands of hair at the nape of his neck. It was so rare to see his hair anything other than immaculately styled, so the rare chances that they got to touch the soft strands were deeply cherished—by the both of them, it seemed, if the current redness of Josuke’s cheeks was anything to go by. “Or would you rather I keep my hands on you?”
Their boyfriend buried his face in their neck, partially out of embarrassment, and partially out of a desire to press achingly gentle kisses against their exposed skin. “Mm, I don’t know,” he mumbled, “So long as you’re not too rough with me, I’d prefer that, yeah.”
“Oh? So you like to be treated gently, big guy?” Their voice came out a little breathy as he lightly nipped at that one spot on their neck, and they hoped that it wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of knowing he had them weak in his arms. Just a little more…
More kisses rained down on them, trailing up to their jaw and sucking at the skin there, just lightly enough to tease them without leaving a mark. A sigh escaped their lips, and their hands trailed down his back, gripping at his yellow tank top in hopes of regaining their sanity. Strong arms embraced them tightly, and arched their back into him.
“Yeah, so what?” he mumbled against the corner of their lips. “Got a problem with that?”
At the very last second before their lips met, they turned their face to the other side and pulled away. “Actually, I do. Because we’re not doing anything at all until you finish studying chapters one through four.”
Groaning, Josuke made to reach out for them as they slipped from his embrace and began to walk off. “Babe, you can’t be serious—“
“I am,” they coolly said, as if they hadn’t been seconds away from pulling him ontop of them. “Would you like me to call your mom and tell her you’re fooling around instead of getting your shit done?”
He shuddered, visibly recoiling at the thought and slumping back in place. “Don’t. She’ll probably put a ban on you ever visiting me when she’s out.”
Still a little shaken up and their nerves slightly tattered by the onslaught of intimacy, they hurried to his room, calling out behind them in a sing-song voice. “Well, these calculus problems aren’t gonna solve themselves!”
Collapsing onto his bed, they muffled a laugh as they heard him swearing and slamming his heavy notebook open, grumbling under his breath the entire time. In the meantime, they curled up into his freshly-made sheets and snuggled their head into his fluffy pillow.
“It smells like him,” they whispered to themself, their face flushed as they squeezed the pillow a little. Somehow, having their boyfriend’s familiar scent surrounding them from everywhere warmed them up to their fingertips, and sent their heart racing in their ribcage. “Wish he’d hurry up and join me before Miss Tomoko gets home…”

hello, can I request a Steve Harrington fic where r working too hard for school and has been pulling all nighters frequently to keep track. R ends up being too tired and falling a little sick and not leaving the house except for when she has to go to school and her friends notice, Steve notices. Steve comes over, tries to help her and something along those lines. You can write it however you want, you can change it up if you want. Thank you :)
thank you for the request! tweaked it just a tiny bit, hope you enjoy :)
contains: cursing, fluff, overworked reader, soft!steve harrington, forgotten date, 1.0k words
School. Study. "Sleep". It was an endless, mind-numbing cycle that you were convinced was spiraling you into borderline madness. The condition of your bedroom was identical to how your brain had been feeling for the past week: cluttered and chaotic. With empty coffee cups littering your small floral desk, and your blush duvet covering more of the carpeted floor than your actual bed, you could hardly even recognize the room anymore.
The dirty laundry strewn across your floor would often trip you when you walked, but the assignments that you were practically drowning in made it impossible to shift your focus onto tidying the place.
You'd become a hermit; only leaving the comfort of your home to go to school and occasionally, the library, on the days that your room felt like more of a prison than a place of rest. Robin and Nancy, along with your boyfriend Steve, were certain you were avoiding them like the plague. They'd beg you to hangout with them, even bribing you by offering to treat you to lunch at the local diner, but the only thing you could say in return was a dry, "maybe later".
You didn't mean to be cold to them, but you were laser-focused on your agenda, determined to work first and play later. It's what led you to where you were now: head buried in your third textbook of the night, butt aching from being sat on your wooden chair for far too long.
On a Friday night of all.
From your window, you heard people, around your age you assumed, parading the streets and laughing loudly– enjoying their simple, young lives. Something you wished you could be doing too. But your work wasn't going to do itself.
You were color-coding the notes on your flashcard when three knocks sounded at your door, to which you mumbled a soft, "Come in," that even you barely heard. Your mother walked in, a mess of flour and an assortment of seasonings splotched on her apron from cooking dinner. "Honey, Steve's here," she smiled softly, though it was evident on her face that she was biting back the urge to tell you to clean your room, bless her.
The yellow highlighter you had was soon forgotten as your eyebrows furrowed, wondering what Steve was doing here. He usually called first.
Steve gave her a sweet grin when he passed her, leaving the door slightly cracked open, per your mothers request. In his hands he held a large box of pizza and a bouquet of pink roses; looking as dashing as ever with a crewneck and blue jeans adorning his body, with his hair being the perfect kind of messy.
You can't help but smile when you see him.
"Well, this is a rare sighting," he laughed, referring to you, "Should probably get this on camera." He kicked his white sneakers off where your own shoes were piled at, setting the pizza box down on your dresser.
"Very funny," you deadpanned, arms crossed on top of your chest. "What're you doing here?"
Steve approached you, something like a frown weighing on his lips. He taps the bouquet against his chest a couple times when he gently reminds you, "It's Friday."
You almost want to reach into your own body to catch your heart when you feel it completely sink. Friday's were you and Steve's designated date nights, never missing one since the two of you began dating a couple months ago. With the way you'd been so stressed and busy lately, it had completely slipped your mind. Suddenly, you felt incredibly guilty.
"Fuck," your head fell into your hands as you rubbed at your tired eyes, harshly. Your words were muffled when you continued, "I'm sorry, I'm the worst."
Steve shook his head almost instantly, gently resting the flowers down on the desk next to you. "Hey, c'mon," he started, moving your hands from your face, standing you up in front of him. "It's okay, I know you've been busy lately."
He rubbed at your shoulders tenderly and the warm touch melted you. It was the first time you truly relaxed that whole week. "You're not mad?" You asked the question in a hushed tone, looking up at him with glittering eyes that were a bit red, your nose a similar hue. You must've been getting sick. His poor baby.
"Not even a little," he gazed at you with heated, sincere brown eyes and you couldn't will yourself to look at anything else. He kissed your forehead, and it's a bit salty with sweat, but he doesn't mind. "Just worried, is all," he murmured, adjusting the pendant on your necklace that had somehow found its way onto your back.
"Can I help at all?" He nodded at the books on your table.
"Steve, no offense but it's AP Calc," you smiled, lightly scratching at his scalp when your arms found their way around his neck. You laughed when his eyebrows raised as if he was startled, slightly shaking his head. "Christ," he says through clenched teeth, though he doubles down on his offer, "well, then I guess I'm learning AP Calc today. No biggie," he shrugs, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
"You don't have to do that, Stevie," you spoke against his lips, admiring how unbelievably sweet your boyfriend was. You knew how much he hated school, especially math, so you were more than grateful that he was willing to put himself through quite literal torture, just to make your night a bit easier. "But I want to," he kissed your nose. "Dinner first though, 'cause I know you skipped out on lunch."
Squinting your eyes, you released your hold on him. Sometimes it scared you how well he knew you. "How-?"
"I have eyes everywhere, love," he answered your question before you could even get it out. You rolled your eyes, a smile playing at your lips, already knowing that his "eyes" in question were just Robin and Nancy looking out for you.

Nights of White Satin
Leone Abbacchio x reader || Oneshot, Fluff
You traced your thumb along the bottom of his bruised lip; bloody, illuminated by nothing but an old, flickering streetlamp in the midst of a sad, gloomy night. His purple lipstick had long since worn off, but the mottled blue's of his injuries did well to replace it. Despite how you tried to peer at him, his eyes always managed to evade yours - glued to the ground in what was a mixture of shame and fury welling together in an ombre cocktail.
Cars flew by behind you. Tires screeching against wet concrete, the thrum of engines and splashing puddles but none of it mattered. You fixated on the man in front of you with clear concern. Concern that only had him biting his cheek with disinterest.
"Leone... what happened?" You leant closer to him, a frown settled across your lips as you gently moved your hand to cup at his delicate cheek and redirect his gaze toward yourself.
For a moment, Abbacchio allowed himself the comfort of your presence; leaning into your touch like a feline starved of affection, but when your fingers brushed across a stinging open wound he hissed in a breath through his teeth and reeled backward. Now grounded, he reprimanded himself for getting so comfortable and took to curling his hands into fists.
"It's nothing," He grouched, turning his gaze to the floor once again. "Just some work things. You know how it is."
You leant back a little, swallowing thickly. Of course... Abbacchio's 'work'. The thing you would call organised criminal activity was just a normal Tuesday for him - to no avail, looking at him here, sat in the gutter with a broken wine bottle to his side... you felt that perhaps what had happened was less serious than what he was making it out to be.
With a short, frustrated huff, you stood upright. Hands on your hips as you looked up wistfully. The sky was clouded, not that it mattered; you could never see the stars in the city, but the sight of such gloom reminded you of how unsafe it was to be on these streets of Napoli late into the night.
"You got into another fight again, didn't you?"
He winced at your question. Tensing when he felt your gaze turn accusatory. There was no way he could deny it. The amount of times you'd find him in this condition - or worse - had made such a task impossible. Instead, he let out a groan and while burying his head into his hands mumbled:
"He made fun of my hair."
His words were followed by a shameful silence.
You sighed, pinching at your temple before decidely shoving a hand into your pocket and fumbling about for your car keys. Abbacchio lifted his gaze to watch you. After a few seconds, you pried the jangling things from your pocket and pressed at a button to unlock your car which had been hastily parked atop of a curb only a few feet away.
You turned toward the vehicle with a fervent urgency. "Come on then."
His brows furrowed, and for a moment he remained still, watching with an intense glower while you clicked open the door to the drivers seat and hopped inside.
Upon realising he hadn't followed, you honked the car horn at him with urgency. It was with that, he slowly arose to his feet; wobbling unsteadily for a few seconds. Glass crunched beneath his shoes as he walked toward the passenger seat to your car, and as he took his place beside you.
You stuffed the key into the ignition, twisted, and soon the two of you were off. At first, the atmosphere in the car was silent. Filled only by the gentle rumbling of its engine, but it was too much for Abbacchio. Silence meant thought, and right now he didn't want to deal with his thoughts.
So he spoke: "What are you doing?"
"Taking you home." A small huff left your nose, condensating against the cold air. Your grip around the wheel tightened, praying to anything out there that he would drop it at that.
You wanted to help him, but he was so damn stubborn. When his brows rose in distress, you knew he'd put up a fight:
"You don't know where I live." He griped, and crossed his arms over his chest in disobedience. He cocked his head in the direction of the window, watching with hazy yellowish eyes as the flashing world passed by.
Another sigh passed your lips as you admitted defeat. "My home. We're going to my home, Leone."
"Why? I don't want to---"
"---I'm trying to help you. Please... let me help."
For a moment, you risked peeling your eyes away from the road. Wide and pleading, you watched longingly while he glared out the window beside him. His silver hair glimmered prettily against the night sky; the moons shadow befell him like a cotton blanket and even in a roughed up, bloody state he was so... perfect. So radiant. An image of tragedy yet glowing with hope.
"Your my friend." You decidely went on. "And I like you."
And at your words, Abbacchio bit into his bottom lip to hide a whimper of utter sorrow.
A friend. His friend. You were his friend.
The venomous thorns of guilt coiled around his heart like a snake; he was wreaked with shame. You were so good to him, such a kind, loving person and here he was - a criminal. A delinquent.
How many times had you found him at the side of the road? How many times had you welcomed him into the warmth of your home? Bathed his wounds in salt? Patched him up with a hug and a pat on the back?
It was sickening, to think of how often you opened your heart to him and how little he gave back. Every night he found himself here with you he put you in danger, it was cruel and selfish, and yet he loved every second of it. As nonchalant as he tried to be, he loved the attention you gave him.
Such is why, though he grumbled and complained, he never once stopped you from taking him home. Never halted his footing as he traipsed along behind you and never snatched your housekeys from your palms; he watched curiously all the while you welcomed him into your abode, sitting with compliance on your couch as you ushered about in the dark to try and a first aid kit.
When you finally settled down beside him, there was a small cotton ball clutched between your fingers. Doused in isopropyl alcohol; you lifted it up to gently press at an open wound. He winced and flinched backward,
"You need to stop getting into these fights." You tutted at him, relocating the cotton ball to his lip where you then cleared away his smudging lipstick.
There was a huff, but he moatly stayed silent. Leaning into your touch. Your eyes lifted to meet his, curious and attentive; he swallowed thickly, adams apple bobbing against the curve of his neck. The room grew warm while you held each others glaze, and with a light, awkward cough you broke away from the stare to dash the now red cotton ball to the side.
"Did you get hurt badly?"
He scoffed, turning his head to look to the side. "No. I left him worse for wear."
There was a short laugh. A rare sound, coming from him; and though it was quiet, it was honest. It told you he wasn't as grumpy as he made himself out to be and at that, you smiled.
"Mm. I feel bad. Maybe I should go back and help him out too, eh?" You laughed at your own joke, reaching down to grab at some gauze for his wounds.
You heard him grunt above you and failed to notice the expression of discomfort that befell his face. "I'd rather you stay, actually... I like you being here."
You paused. Lifting yourself up to look him in the eyes, brow quirked in a smug perplexion.
"You like it when I patch you up?" You leant closer to him; you could feel his breath fanning against your face, his breath once again hitching at your sudden closeness. He could feel heat rising to his cheeks.
His lips parted for a moment. He thought that perhaps you were going to go further. That maybe, you'd press your lips to his... but you didn't. He was left sourly dissapointed when instead you took to pressing the gauze against his wounded cheek.
"I do." He mumbled.
He went quiet, after that. Growing shy, unsure of himself or what he was even saying. He was pretty drunk, to be fair; he'd likely regret how mushy he was getting, but right now he was happy. He was content. His body ached like a battered banana, but every touch your fingers danced upon his fair skin had him leaning closer with serenity.
When you were done cleaning him up you packed away the first aid kit and he watched for a while as you teetered about putting things away and preparing both of you tea. He hovered behind you for a while and once you were done, wormed his way into your bed; the two of you shared it for the night because, well, he was injured and needed the bed and it was stupid to let you get a bad back on the couch because of stupid societal norms regarding bed sharing. And if he did reach out to hold you in the night, so what?
Abbacchio liked you a lot. He hated having you worry for him so much, but... he also loved how you treated him. It was gentle. Loving; thing's he could never have as a skilled mafioso. It was selfish for him to seek you out like this but at the same time, he knew he wouldn't stop. He'd get into more bar fights, he'd find himself in more scuffles and at the end of each day, he'd find himself in your house; your embrace; he'd find himself wrapped in your love.
(I HOPE THIS IS GOOD!!! IF NOT I CAN CHANGE IT PLS LMK!!!! to the ppl that sent in the Kira and Melone reqs I'm almost done with them! :) im just being lazy)

Hii! If it's not too much trouble to ask, can you make a Yandere DIO x Child Reader who escaped and is now with the Crusaders? (Reader would have a strong Stand) 🙃
(So idk wether this was meant as like biologically DIO's kid or not but I just went with unrelated because i dont know how many hoes DIO had back in Stardust Crusaders. Also, how does one think up a stand, lol.)
Requested: Annon
Warnings: Slightly OOC DIO, silly kidnapping, bizarre
(3rd person POV)
Life had been turned upside down for you lately. As a poor ten year old alone on the streets of Cairo, you had expected this year to be the same as last year.
Just surviving and having your Stand help steal food.
Thus is the life of a street rat. Kicked out by their abusive father...
But just a month ago, when you were once again getting your Stand to filch some fruit from a night market, you got spotted.
A tall, impending figure had stopped in the alleyway to look down at you.
His piercing golden eyes made you freeze once you were in his field of vision. Did the air just get colder or was that you?
"Tell me of your stand, Child."
The man had spoken, all those nights ago. Truthfully, you hadn't know what a Stand was back then. So he pointed to yours. All you really knew of it was that nobody else could see it... So why was he looking straight at it?
With such intrest too.
Before you could actually talk to the man, he had leaned down and poked something into your head, thats the last thing you could remember.
"So yea, thats all I remember..." You spoke to this strange band of people.
That disintrested looking fellow had been the one to rip whatever that weirdo so long ago put into your head... A 'Flesh Bud'. A means of controlling people, or so you've heard from that french guy and his green clad fellow as they were complaining about the time they had yours.
So they had been attacked by the blonde guy too?
Intresting.
"You have a hell of a Stand kid." The oldest guy pats your shoulder, he looks pretty buff for an old guy. Who are these people.
"My stand? Ah- you mean Arnold?" You made your stand appear. You faintly remember it just... appearing one day when you were being chased by street dogs... It kinda saved your hide. Named after Arnold Schwarzenegger, as you had heard that name on a tv in a store once. Very creative, obviously.
"Yes... Arnold. Does it perhaps do special things. Like superpowers?" The old man asks. Trying not to look back at how one of his friends is being patched up from all his cuts.
"Why should I tell you my secrets?" You cross your arms defiantly.
"Because we saved you, don't you want to defeat who-ever did this to you? Huh, kid?" The old man nudges you with his shoulder.
"Not really. Who are you guys anyways, you don't look like locals at all." You take a step away from the man.
"I'm Joseph Joestar, thats my grandson Jotaro and his friend Kakyoin... Thats Polnareff, and the one you almost blasted to bits is Avdol." Josephs eye twitches as he look back at his hurt friend.
"I didn't do anything." You retort quickly.
"You did, because of this flesh bud. A vampire named Dio was controlling you-" Joseph starts.
"I'm not controllable." You stick your tongue out.
"Oh yea, so then you almost killed Avdol by yourself?" Joseph replies with the same childish tone.
"That was my twin brother, you've got the wrong person." You smirk like the annoying brat you truly are.
The argument gets more heated as Joseph refuses to listen to the sass of a dirt covered child.
Meanchile, in a dark dark room in a castle far away- No, a mansion just a couple of streets away, a certain blonde seethes.
Another one lost. Those damned crusaders... Joestars.
They had taken away many of his subjects.... His pawns.. But this was by far the worst.
A child, a powerfull child. He had plans for you. Shattered, all in a single fight.
Dio clenches his fist and a piece of the parchment he's pretending to read rips.
He wasn't attached... Not at all. You were just strong. And.. Too similar to him. A scumbag of a dad, he had looked into your mind that night you two locked eyes. And he had seen... Things that reminded himself too much of himself. The only diffrence between you two was that you weren't just born evil. A bummer, really. He's always wanted to see a maniacal kid.
But... Oh dallit, who's he kidding, he did get attached. And really he doesn't understand why. You were a dirty, foolish child...
But you had potential...
Dio had always planned to be the lonesome ruler of his ideal world... But you were.. ideal enough. Yes.
You could like... stand next to him and chirp about whatever useless tought you had this time.
Something to quench the silence he's grown to hate after years of being confined to a coffin under the sea.
It's a miracle that you hadn't gotten on his nerves, really. He usually hated all kids. But well, maybe it's that mischievious glint in your eyes. Makes him think too much of his time back in his living ages.
So, ofcourse he sent two of his stand users out to retrieve you.
Wich is how he had leanred of your capture by the Joestars.
Oh he had wanted to gag, what if they made you into the same goody-two-shoes all Joestars pretended to be?
Disgusting. He's have to end your suffering in that case...
But for now, he could wait for his pawns to bring you back. Maybe you were ready for the no flesh bud treatment.
Probably not. But hey, who knows what other nonsense you'd come up with if he let you be that free.
If only his pawns would hurry up! He's bored!
"I'm not helping you, I've got things to do." You declare to Joseph for the sixth time now as they kept on asking you to help them get to Dio.
"We'll give you lots of food." Jotaro pipes in with that same bored tone, seemingly having figured you out after his grandfather had tried convincing you the whole time.
"I'm in. This way."
You hum and start walking. Joseph yaw falls open dramatically as Jotaro walks past him with a slightly proud aura.
The group of guys follow you around the sunny streets of Cairo as you walk to the mansion you just so faintly remember.
Actually... you don't really remember much of your mind controlled times. A faint face of the vampire that had enslaved you... a slight sensation of a hair ruffle. For the rest it's mostly gone.
But who knows, with what these guys have been telling you, this Dio figure is quite the bad guy. And you'd be getting food. So...
The first round roof of the mansion had appeared in your field of vision, you had attampted to call out before someone just jumped onto you from above.
Now this man you remembered just faintly. Cowboyish looks, an attitude and the most annoying smirk.
"Gotta ask you not to struggle kid. Dio's been whining about you for a week now." Hol Horse huffs as he picks you up at the scruff. Glaring at Jotaro's group of friends.
"Let me go or I'll blast you to bits." You declare simply. Crossing your arms childishly.
The cowboy's eye twitches and he takes it as a bluff.
Stupid idea, really.
You activate your stand, Arnold, and use it's ability that you have yet to name. The crystal like being grabs ahold of Hol Horse and sharp crystals grow out of his arm, piercing his skin.
This effectivly drops you as the man screams in pain behind you.
So that's what you had done wit Avdol then? Yikes. Since when did you even have this ability? Must be Dio's fault.
Tough, this seemed way too easy. You were proven right moments after as you were ambushed by a pretty woman... Who you actually didn't know.
She surpisingly just hoisted you over her shoulder mid run and ran away from the Crusaders as they yelled for the woman to stop. You could sense her stand... So this must be another one of Dio's henchmen.
Altough your stand was super duper cool and epic, you're an untrained kid who doesn't know what they're doing.
So you weren't that great at summoning your stand without concentrating fully. And all these jolts you got from this womans fast running weren't helping your concentration.
A puprle vine suddendly wrapped around the womans ankle and she fell to the floor, dropping you as you rolled along the sandy pavement, scratching your skin and further staining your clothes with more dirt.
Joseph had stopped the womans kidnapping attempt. Wich was cool but damm that fall hurt!
The rest of the crusaders came running to you and the unknown stand user. This time it was Polnareff who picked you up like you were damm nothing. To prevent you from getting snatched again.
"You didn't say you were some kind of prized possesion. What does Dio want with you?" Polnareff yells dramatically.
"As if I know! I barely remember him!" You huff back.
"Are you perhaps his offspring?" Kakyoin asks a lot more calmly.
"What? No, I know my dad, he's an asshole but we've got the same hair, so we're obviously related." You shake your head.
"Thats the stupidest explenation I've ever heard." Jotaro sighs while Joseph ties the woman to a pole so that she can't chase again.
"What can I say, never been to school." You shrug with a matter of factly face. Polnareff looks bewildered while the others have taken on a bit of a pitying look. Wich you really don't like.
Seriously, life could be worse.
Polnareff had loosened his grip slighly as he must have felt safe or something. A stupid descicion really, as a faint barking was coming from down the alley before you.
You caught a glimpse of a funny looking dog with big ears barking up at the sky before you got lifted up really fast by sharp talons.
A hawk, a damm hawk got you.
How was this thing even carrying you? Sure ten year olds aren't big an you don't grow a lot on the street but this is just bizarre!
The hawk dropped you off in the fountain of Dio's courtyard.
Landing with a splash into the unkempt water. Good thing this wasn't deep becasue nobody had ever tought you how to swim...
The hawk squaqed hard before flying back up to protect the mansion you had been brought back to.
Now if you knew one thing about vampires it's that they can't come into the sun or they expolde or something.
So you made it your mission to stay here in the sun as long as possible... Wich.. isn't that long, it was almost sunset... Shit.
"Tought you could run off, child?" A sultry voice spoke from the dark halls surrounding the courtyard.
Two piercing yellow eyes looked straight at you. That same feeling of impending doom hit you again.
"Why don't you come to me. I promise not to harm you..." Dio whispers in a slightly sweet manner. Wich really made it even less convincing.
He'd probably snap your head right off for even attempting to talk to the Crusaders.
You didn't want to walk towards him. But the alluring feeling the man possesed made you take a shaking step.
Screaming in your head to stop wasn't working.
Slowly but surely you were walking out of the suns warm embarce and into the darkness of a vampire's lair.
You're gonna die, oh my god!
The vampire held his hand out so elegantly for you to take, sharp- well kept nails the only indicator of the underlying nature of this predator.
Your hand reached out for his, out of your control. Damm this creature's charm.
The moment your warm hand touched ice cold flesh you were dragged into the darkness and into a strong body.
You were held tightly against the man as he ran a hand trough your hair before you were out like a light. Seriously, what kind of powers does this asshole even have?
The next thing you knew, you woke up in a dark room. Feeling a bit.. cold?
You open your heavy eyes, looking for any sign of life in this room. Closed curtains... unlit candles. Now where in the fuck-knuckles were you now?
"Y/N, would you like to know something?" That same deep voice spoke from behind you. You turn around and face the vampire on his fancy couch, lazing around.
"Not really.." You mutter unsurely.
"Hah, still the same kind of annoyance as before. How I've missed you." Dio muses down at you as if looking at a little lapdog. Wich techically you had been.
"Fine, what's the thing I need to know?" You sigh.
"I've made you a vampire, just like me. Isn't that generous of me my little Y/N? Now we can talk forever." Dio smirks as if this was his best idea ever.
You deadpann and walk over to a curtain to go kill yourself full on vampire way.
"No, foolish child. Come back here." Dio tsks in annoyance and whatever control he has over you now pulls you back to stand behind his couch.
Wow, can't even sit in this place huh?
"Do you not understand why I share my gift of immortality with you?" Dio muses, smiling again. Tough that teeny tiny spark of softness doesn't go unnoticed to your trained eyes.
You just shake your head. Who knows, even age old vampires could be pedo's-
"You... are similar to me. I simply wish for you to have a better life then I had."
Dio speaks a bit less... confidently.
Now, that's something you had never expected from the blonde.. Ever.
Where's the uncaring cold villain you knew? The guy that killed his servants for failing?
Why was he looking at you as if his words were genuine?
And why was it affecting you like this?
"Y/N, when Jotaro Joestar and his group make their way to my estate, I want you to stay firmly beside me. Do you understand me?" Dio narrows his eyes as he stands up to tower over you. That sinister shadow casting over his face to get you to comply.
You just nods your head. Wich apparently isn't good enough for him as he squishes your cheeks between his hand.
"Use your words, child." Dio tsks.
"I'll stay at your side..." You speak up, not like you actually would... they were coming here to kill Dio... You didn't wnat to die aswell...
Dio sighs and ruffles your hair roughly before leaving the room to go do whatever the hell he does all day.
You hear a little lock click shut, once again trapping you somewhere, tough unlike last time, you have full control of your mind...
Dio didn't need a henchmen anymore, not of you.
He couldn't even understand it himself. Maybe deep down he missed a brother he could bully.
So just sit in that tower and don't complain and everything would be alright.
He wouldn't let those crusaders take you away from him again...

Thank you for the request! Also available on Wattpad/Tumblr.
Dio was a bit OOC but I really don't know how to get this man to like a kid, i think he'd throw one out of a window if given the choice. Xd.
Have a nice night/ Day!

Beautiful Liar
Pairing: Bruno Bucciarati x Fem Reader
Summary: Trying to deny her true feelings about Bucciarati, Bucciarati decides to call the reader on her bluff after she avoids everyone, especially him, after he becomes capo...
Warnings: Swearing, SMUT (18+ ONLY! MINORS DNI! oral f receiving, unprotected sex)
First time writing for JoJo's and Bucciarati, as he is my favorite JoJo's character! I hope I did well and you all enjoy!
Word Count: 2.1k
I DO NOT OWN THIS GIF
I couldn’t stand getting all dolled up just to be somewhere I didn’t feel like being.
Of course, Bucciarati became Capo, our crew was celebrating and at least I had a nice view. Italy was such a beautiful place, night sky filled of stars, city lights in the distance from this rooftop bar.
Sitting alone at the bar, a glass of wine in hand, I let my mind wonder, gazing at the view till I heard a soft voice:
“What are you doing sitting all alone?”
Bucciarati.
“What? Am I bothering you?” Finding him in the corner of my eye, he was never a fan of my attitude, leaning against the bar:
“Can’t even have some fun, can you?”
It wasn’t that I didn’t like Bucciarati. It was because I liked him. I couldn’t open up and face my own feelings. Any word and tone towards him came out as envy. Thankfully, I did get some amusement from it.
“Can a ragazza just enjoy a glass of wine?” Taking a sip, it amazed me how he dealt with me, still being kind:
“Nothing wrong with that. I just don’t think it’s fair that everyone else is having fun and you’re all alone with that scowl on your face.”
“I am just fine,” I smiled sarcastically at him, but he was persistent that I get out of that seat:
“Don’t be like that. How about a dance?”
“I’m not a dancer,” I lied, turning my head, but still listening as he assumed:
“Let me guess, you’re in one of your moods because I’m officially capo.”
“Don’t make me laugh,” I snickered softly, still not looking at him, even when he said:
“It wouldn’t surprise me. You’ve always envied me and why, may I ask?”
“Envy you?” This time I made sure I locked eyes, his blue eyes glimmering with his smile:
“You heard me.”
“I could care less that you are capo, now,” I wasn’t letting him win this little argument, going to leave it at that, but seizing when I felt his arm wrap around my hip, getting close enough to whisper:
“Then what is it, amore?”
I was never the type to be left speechless, getting lost in a void, feeling his warmth against me, even stronger in his hand that was on my hip, his scent filling me with a lust I’ve never experienced.
“I see now,” He always took the opportunity to laugh at me when it was presented, knowing exactly how I was feeling, “You are the type to run away from the truth.”
“And just what is that truth, hm?” I couldn’t keep sitting there looking dumb, making the mistake of looking into those blue eyes that sent me deeper into that void:
“Isn’t it obvious? Besides, Mista have told me more times than I can count.”
“That damn asshole,” I growled silently under my breath, trying to contain composure, speaking up this time, “And you believe that childish man?”
“There you, go running from the truth again,” Laughing at me again, he started to test me himself, voice growing to a deep whisper into my ear, “It doesn’t matter anyways. I already know the truth, amore.”
The way he called me amore made my thighs squeeze together, the heat in my cheeks from my wine growing, naturally leaning into him.
He was almost hypnotic and it put me into a slight panic. Should I take the opportunity in this moment? Or do what exactly what he said, run from the truth?
“What do you know, Bucciarati?” I scoffed, something inside of me wouldn’t let him break me that easily, but I was pushed right to the edge.
“You are such a beautiful liar,” The tension just kept rising with every word he spoke, chills down my spine and that’s when something in me changed.
I was a mafioso! Some little crush wasn’t going to turn me into someone timid. Glancing to the guys, they were all distracted and so?
With a smack of my lips, I gulped down the rest of my wine, taking his hand and leaving my seat, guiding him to the elevator.
“Y/N?” Curious, but still following me, I let him know exactly what I was doing.
“You offered a dance. So,” I had the most confident smirk on my face that made his eyes light up while twirling into him inside of the elevator, making sure the door shut before I kissed, “Let’s dance.”
It became so clear how much tension the both of us had built up inside, shattering with the clash of our lips, every touch and move exceeding anything I ever fantasized about, pushing my chest against his, hand full of his suit jacket when his hand slid up my thigh, pulling our hips together to feel his hardening bulge.
Every time the elevator beeped, I grew more impatient, nearly dragging him out of the elevator when we finally got to the floor of my room.
I didn’t want to stop for a single second, tongues dancing all the way to the edge of my bed, ready to strip till he palmed my lower back, stroking my cheek:
“Slow down, amore. You’re so impatient.”
“Can you blame me?” I finally breathed in, breaking out in goosebumps at his fingertips sliding the strap of my dress off my shoulder:
“I understand, but there’s no need to move so quickly. Your capo just wants the time to adore you beauty.”
“Sí, capo,” I hummed softly at the kiss he left along my neck, unzipping my dress, eyes falling down to the floor with it, taking his good time to see me in just my heels and panties.
For a change, I followed his lead, moonlight peaking through the windows illuminating those gorgeous blue eyes when he took me by the chin, a kiss guiding me back onto the bed.
My heart was beating like normal, but so hard against my chest with his hand sliding down my neck and all over my breasts, nearly moaning already at his fingers rolling my nipple, licking along my ear:
“With all of this beauty, I’m taking my time.”
His words surely tamed my impatience. Just that alone prepared me to be in bed with him for some time.
Closing my eyes softly and submerging into a new world, letting out the soft moans that were building up as his kisses lead down my neck, finding my breasts and making sure to give each their fair share of attention, from soft bites to hard sucks on my nipples that made me squirm a little.
Every nerve was tingling more and more the further down he went, lace panties between his teeth and yanking them away, eyes locked on his physique as his suit jacket was thrown off, spreading my legs wide and upward, watching his tongue slide across his upper lip:
“I want to savor every single taste. Maybe this will take all that bad, sassy mood away.”
“B-Bruno,” One single, broad lick along my clit had me whining, swirling around it having my legs shake, throwing my head back into the pillows when he started sucking.
He formed a tighter grip on my thighs as I began to shake more, taking handfuls of the sheets at a swift lick downward, tongue pushing in and flicking at my walls, then taking me with a mouthful, the pressure at my clit making my legs fight his grip, starting to close his head in.
“R-Right there!” I let my body do as it wanted, beginning to grind against his face, arching at the groan that came from deep in his chest, whining as his strength pushed my legs back down to the mattress, keeping them pinned as he simply devoured me.
Needing no words, only staring throwing his bangs, knowing the blissful state I was in, making sure that I didn’t have even a second to catch a breath, instantly having me come undone, a smile visible even while buried between my legs, mouth wide open against me and licking up the slick from my orgasm.
“See all the good things you can get when your patient, hm?”
Of course, he had to take the time to poke at me, leaving a few kisses along my thighs, but my eyes were focused on what I couldn’t see, only seeing his hands go below his waist.
“Gonna make me wait more?” Not that I was even worried, taking deep breaths and silencing as he kneeled onto the bed, me being the one to admire his body.
Those sexy tattoos, abs so tone and defined, not to mention the impressiveness of his cock, all of the air I took in taken away from it.
“Why do you ask? Is there something else you want?”
I really wasn’t in the mood for the teasing now, especially with him between my legs, slapping his cock against my skin softly.
“You know exactly what I want,” My eyes shot off an intense glare, but I wasn’t getting what I wanted so easily.
“Oh, that?” He smirked, running his tip through my folds, slapping my clit and having my lip trapped between my teeth, “Is that what you want, amore?”
“Don’t be like that, Bruno,” I pouted, closing my eyes and taking in the pleasure that it did give off, hiding the moans from his tip circling my entrance, rubbing my folds softly.
“I Can’t give you what you want if you don’t tell me,” I could feel his smile again as he placed kisses at my neck and cheek, finally giving him what he wanted, voice so sweet as I told him:
“I want you, Bruno. I want you inside of me already. Please.”
“Good girl,” Nibbling on my ear and easing his cock into me at the same time made me gasp so hard, his girth a lot to take, walls spasming around him already.
“Merda!” Biting my lip again, I looked to see that I haven’t even taken half of him, soft thrusts helping me adjust.
“Shh, I have you,” I loved that he knew how to tend to me so well, guiding my arms around his neck, a hand running through his hair, whispering to him:
“I just never had someone like you.”
“And you’ll never have someone like me again,” His confidence wasn’t just for show, hooking my legs over the button of his inner elbows, pushing forward and with a quick thrust, feeding me all of his cock.
I never moaned in such a filthy way, panting at the quick thrusts he gave, hearing our wet skin every other thrust as he bottomed me out.
Those moans only grew more filthy and loud, pushing forward so our foreheads could meet, nose nuzzling so I could hear his coo:
“Only your capo.”
“Only you, Bruno!” All the mental blocks I had built were broken down to crumbles, finally letting go of every thought I’ve ever had about him, “I only want you, capo!”
“I always knew,” He chuckled softly, lifting his head some and somehow, I knew to find his eyes, teary from the searing burn of pleasure, but held our gaze, “Gonna let me feel you cuming all over me, amore?”
“Y-Yess!” I cried out, head suddenly snapping back, walls pulling him even deeper any time he pulled back a little, a ram of his hips smacking right into my sweet spot, keeping pressure against my clit and cervix, “I’m cuming!”
His forehead fell to mine with a groan rumbling in his chest, thrusts not stopping, but a bit languid as we both felt the death grip I had on his cock, entire body squirming, nails scratching at his back as my hips jerked upward, feeling the squelch of slick making a mess all over our thighs.
“Brava, ragazza,” He mumbled with a soft smile, kissing along with rolls of his hips, “So tight and wet, all for me.”
“You’re just so damn good,” I huffed, hugging his head and moaning at the throbs of his cock, damning him, “Cazzo, Bruno.”
He could only chuckle at that, releasing my legs and pulling me into a warm embrace, “See what you could’ve had sooner if you weren’t such a liar?”
“The beautiful liar that you mentioned earlier?” I shot back, meeting his gaze to see a pure smile this time, shining my own confidence, “There will be no lying about how I feel. You’re mine, capo.”
His smile showed that he proud that I finally owned up to my feelings, being my confident self again, even if I still had some sass, kissing softly, “Now that’s my, ragazza.”

UNKNOWN FEELINGS— yandere!dio x reader
DIO SAT BORED IN HIS CHAIR reading one of the many books he had from his library. with nothing to entertain him he tapped his slender fingers on the now closed book. his mind once again focused on getting rid of the joestar bloodline. with jotaro and his “acquaintances” he noticed a particular person. that person seemed to be female standing at (height).
the joestars and their friends where such a headache, but you where quite different. oh how much he hated you. you where mearly a pest, an annoying fly that would come back when you would shoo it away, a cockroach that seemed to always live no matter how many times you try to kill it. just what where you doing with his enemies? he almost felt sorry that he will have to kill you as well. dio has felt like this for a long time, until he got the chance to take a good look at you, a certain someone has managed to sneak a picture while you weren’t looking.
you seemed rather pretty a nice figure with beautiful e/c orbs that glistened in the sunlight, your eyes were half lidded as a gentle smile appeared on your face. you seemed to be at peace and just enjoying your surroundings. your skin looked so soft and your h/c hair seemed to be greatly taken care of. dio would be lying if he said you didn’t look gorgeous.
what made you even better was when he heard that you and the joestars managed to defeat some of his servants. it was rather impressive and he wonders what kind of stand you possessed, but he knows it is no match for ‘the world’. the thought of him standing above you while you bled out in front of him was rather….arousing. how interesting, dio has never had thoughts like this before.
a week has passed and these thoughts had only gotten worse. he needed to get rid of them, he needed to do something, he needed you. everytime he saw you whether it be a picture or in the middle of the night, his heart skipped a beat. it was rather obvious dio has fallen in love with you. but this wasn’t your normal kind of love, he was obsessed.
how funny, someone as charming and powerful as him has fallen in love with a mere human as you. of course there where others that where strong too but they where nowhere near him, that’s another reason why he needed you by his side, was to protect you.
─ ✧ ✧ ✧ ─
you would be buying take out for yourself since there was no dinner. there was some food at the hotel you where staying at, but none of it looked satisfying to eat. kakyoin has asked if you needed assistance but you have assured him that you where fine. what a terrible mistake…if only you knew the consequences of grabbing some food by yourself. as you where walking down the sidewalk with your food in one hand it seemed rather…quiet. there where no cars driving or people around.
‘how strange’ you thought.
usually you would see a car or two pass by, not even a cricket was making a sound. but once again with a fanfic cliche, that was before everything went black.
you woke up feeling dizzy, your vision blurry and your head hurts…almost like something has hit you from there. wait where were you? you looked around only to find that the room was rather dark. the only source of light would be from the candles that hung around the room. you seemed to be lying on a king sized bed, there where even bookshelves around the walls. trying to comprehend what just happened you tried to get up only to be stopped by ankle cuffs.
“ i see that you are finally awake ” a voice says near you.
you looked by the door and see a rather tall man, with beautiful golden hair as his ruby red eyes stared into yours. you wanted to scream.
‘ what was happening? who is he? where is kakyoin and everyone else? ’
you tried to call out your stand only to find yourself being chocked the next second, feeling his long pointy nails gripping your neck.
‘ what the hell? ’ how was he suddenly in front of you?
“ i would normally kill someone such as yourself right now, but i am willing to spare you, so let us make a deal, hmm? ” the man’s smooth silky voice said in your ear.
“ you will do as i say and in return i will guarantee your safety, you mustn’t worry about jotaro or your friends i can assure you that they are perfectly fine. ”
struggling to breathe you managed to do a slight nod, he smirked in satisfaction and let you go.
“ one of my servants has prepared you new clothes, you will find them on the table stand next to you, i will see you soon love ” and with that he was gone.
many questions popped up in your head. ‘why would he call me love?? what did he know about jotaro? was he a friend of his?’
no that couldn’t be, it’s obvious he’s much more than that. ‘was he actually safe?’ but for now you can only hope that what the man said was true.
─ ✧ ✧ ✧ ─
minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days, days turned into weeks…just how long have you been here? you often wonder if you will ever escape always hoping that someone would just bust in and help you break free. but you learned that will never happen, being stuck here made you learn a lot of things.
you learned to always obey the man that kept you imprisoned in this mansion, dio. only talk when spoken too, stay by his side at all times unless told not too, be his perfect little pet. you hated being called that, it was like the woman y/n no longer existed and is now an obedient play toy. there where a few times where you almost escaped, so close to reaching that door of freedom but of course vanilla ice was there to stop you.
you screamed and thrashed to get out of his grip, only to be pushed in front of someone. carefully pulling yourself up, you slowly look up…recognizing the shoes of the man who put you here in the first place. dio let out a sigh. after all this time have you not learned anything? did you not see that everything he did was for you?
he was there to protect you and give you all your needs. he spared your life so you didn’t end up like the women he had previously eaten. he wouldn’t dare waste such a beauty like you, there may be times where he needed to give you a little….lesson…but it was out of love. dio excused vanilla ice and you would soon find yourself laying on a bed. no this couldn’t be happening…surely he’s not going to do what you think he is doing, is he?
the closer he got the more you wanted to scream, but you knew better. dio leaned down in front of you slowly rubbing his cold hands against your body, “ you know you really are so beautiful, “ he started, “ you truly are a precious gem, a beauty only one can be described as a goddess…but you know that beauty only lastes for so long, it slowly looses it’s spark, getting old, and eventually dies….you however….”
dio paused as he takes his left hand to reach something , “ i don’t want to ever lose you, you are mine and i wish to spend eternity with my darling. ”
a smile crept up his face as he brought something towards your cheek, but his smile seemed off, before you could say anything you felt immense pain. all you could see was a red liquid and feel the warmness of your blood dripping down your face. was…this…a mask?
he did it…dio finally did what he’s been waiting for, after all this time you would finally be with him forever. tears started to form in your eyes, this couldn’t be happening, this isn’t what you wanted. you wanted to live a normal life and grow old with the ones you loved, not this monster. all your hopes and dreams slowly faded away as you felt your nails grow longer, your skin drained of color and your precious e/c eyes turned a dark red.
─ ✧ ✧ ✧ ─
“ doesn’t this look nice my love ” dio said as he fixed your dress.
you where standing in front of a mirror, the same mirror that you use to get dressed like the many nights before. it was now dinner time, and you would walk with dio to the dining room.
“ of course it does dear ” you said as you forced a smile.
dio hummed in satisfaction, slowly wrapping his arms around your waist. it seemed you two where just standing in silence for a few minutes, just enjoying each other’s presence. before you could break the silence he lays his head on your shoulder.
“ i love you y/n ”, he whispered.
you tensed up, dio knew you hated responding, this was like a game to him, taunting you knowing you have no choice but to say it back. taking a short breath you once again reply,
“ i love you too “.
dio lifts up his head and turns you around, bringing a finger to your chin as he forces you to look up at him. he stares at you for a moment before slowly closing his eyes and leans in, you know what he wants, this was part of your little routine, so you know you have to do the same. the kiss lasted a little longer than usual, he must be feeling like that tonight, how disgusting.
before things go any farther he stops and suddenly walks away. of course, he didn’t see you as nothing more than a toy, only someone to cure his boredom. or was he simply teasing you knowing you’ll want more later?
you sighed as you look in the mirror once again. taking a good look at yourself, hair nicely done, nails freshly painted, and a beautiful (color) dress that stopped just before your knees…just how dio likes it.
this was your life now, obeying dio and giving him whatever he wishes. he always claims to love you but his definition of love was clearly different than what you know. he was so protective of you, no other man dared to look at you, even if you weren’t with him. if anything was bothering you he would get rid of it within seconds. if you needed anything, you would have it in your room the next day.
a new pair of clothes? already in your closet. need something else to spice up your skin care routine? you’ll find it by the bathroom sink. not feeling like yourself? you will find a plate of your favorite food and a bath that is ready for you. you once asked him if he had anything to do with it, he just let out a “tch” and denied it, it was an obvious lie.
it was strange to say but it was somewhat attractive. where you falling for him? you have to admit dio was not an average looking man. he was very handsome and a body some people would kill for. any woman would be blessed to have a husband like him.
…what?
did you just say husband? are you really falling for your kidnapper?….where you experiencing stockholm syndrome?
no. you would surely never fall for someone like that. this was simply your mind playing tricks on you.
deciding that you wasted enough time you start to walk towards the door. walking in a “lady” manner with your back straight and chin up, something dio has “trained” you to do. you soon reach the doors of the dining room knowing he was waiting on the other side.
perhaps things would be different if you weren’t stubborn and just accepted kakyoin’s offer, or just sucked it up and ate the dissatisfying food. how funny that something as simple as food led you into this curse.
as you start to open the door, you could only wonder what the future will hold.

⋆.ೃ JJBA SCENARIOS ࿔*:・
Masterlist here <3
genre: fluff, romance
warnings: none
characters: speedwagon
notes: i saw an edit on tiktok about speedwagon with that sound that goes “everybody’s falling in love and im falling behind” and i was on the verge of tears, so i decided to write a romantic scenario for my baby <3:(
Speedwagon one-shot
It’s one of those perfect, crisp autumn afternoons where the air smells of fallen leaves and the sunlight filters through the trees in golden streaks. Speedwagon had suggested a stroll through a quieter part of town, something unusual for him given his typically busy, action-packed life. You agreed, sensing there was something different about him today. His usual swagger was still there, but beneath it, a softness lingered in his gaze, like he was holding back something important.
As you walk through the park, Speedwagon is unusually silent. The crunch of leaves underfoot and the distant chatter of birds fill the air, but he doesn’t seem to notice. Every once in a while, he glances at you, quickly looking away when your eyes meet, an uncharacteristic shyness creeping into his demeanor. You ask if everything’s okay, but he just gives you a crooked smile and tells you not to worry.
Eventually, you find yourselves standing at a hilltop overlooking the park. The view is breathtaking—the trees below bathed in hues of red, orange, and gold, and the horizon painted with the soft colors of a sunset. Speedwagon stops walking, pulling you gently to face him. His hands are warm as they slip into yours, the roughness of his palms contrasting the tenderness in his touch.
“I’ve been thinking,” he begins, his voice uncharacteristically hesitant, “about a lot of things lately. About us.” He pauses, as if gathering the courage to continue, his eyes searching yours for reassurance. “I’m not the kind of guy who usually gets moments like this, y’know? Not with everything I’ve been through, everything I’ve done. But you…” He trails off, shaking his head with a small, self-deprecating laugh. “You make me want to believe I deserve more than just scraping by.”
You open your mouth to respond, but he holds up a hand, wanting to finish his thought. “I don’t know how to say this right, but what I’m trying to get at is… you’re different. You make everything feel different. Better. Like, when I’m with you, the world doesn’t seem so damn heavy.” His thumb brushes over your knuckles, a small gesture that sends warmth spreading through your chest.
Speedwagon’s normally sharp eyes soften as he looks at you, the sincerity in his expression melting away the usual mask of bravado. “I’m not good at this,” he says, his voice rough but full of feeling. “But I want you to know… I care about you. More than I’ve cared about anyone in a long time. You’re not just someone I want to protect or someone I like being around. You’re… everything.”
The sun dips lower behind the trees, casting a soft, amber light around you both, the moment feeling almost magical. Speedwagon lets out a deep breath, like a weight has been lifted from him, and he steps closer, his body now only inches from yours. “I ain’t got much to offer in this world, but I can promise you one thing—if you’ll have me, I’ll make sure you never have to face anything alone.”
His words linger in the air as his hands cup your face gently, his thumbs brushing over your cheeks with an intimacy that sends shivers down your spine. Slowly, he leans in, his forehead resting against yours, his breath warm against your lips. The closeness is electric, yet tender, and for a moment, time seems to stop as the world fades away, leaving just the two of you under the autumn sky.
“I’ve never been good at saying what I feel,” he murmurs softly, his lips inches from yours, “but I think actions speak louder than words, don’t they?”
And with that, he closes the distance, his lips meeting yours in a kiss that is both sweet and filled with all the emotions he’s been holding back. His arms wrap around you, pulling you close, and the kiss deepens, filled with a quiet promise of love, protection, and devotion. As the sun sets completely, painting the sky in shades of violet and gold, you stand there together, wrapped in each other, knowing this moment will be one you both cherish forever.

⁎˚ ఎ Gyro Zeppeli ໒ ˚⁎
hiiii could you maybe write a oneshot about cg! gyro putting a sleepy little to bed? thank you so so so much !!!!! i hope you are having a good week !!
The sun had long since dipped below the horizon, leaving the vast plains of the American frontier bathed in soft twilight. The only sounds were the occasional rustle of wind sweeping through the dry grass and the distant hoot of an owl. The Steel Ball Run race had temporarily come to a standstill for the night, and the campfire Zeppeli had set up flickered gently against the cool night air.
Sitting beside the flames was a young regressor, exhausted from the day's events, curled up in a makeshift blanket beside him. Their small, innocent eyes drooped with fatigue, tiny fingers wrapped around the corner of the blanket, grasping for comfort as sleep slowly claimed them...
Gyro, still wearing his broad-brimmed hat, glanced down at you with a soft, almost paternal smile. In this strange race, filled with danger and competition, you were one of the few things that felt like an anchor of simplicity—a reminder that not everything was about fighting, power, or survival
"Come on" Gyro said, his voice a low, soothing rumble, leaning over to adjust the blanket over your shoulders. "It’s about time you went to bed properly, don’t you think ?"
Your eyes fluttered open for a moment, your expression a mix of reluctance and drowsiness. Your little frame curled tighter as you mumbled something unintelligible, too tired to form words properly. Gyro chuckled softly. "No, no. You need some real rest, kid. We’ve got another long day tomorrow." He removed his gloves, his hands rough from years of spinning steel balls, and scooped you into his arms. Despite his strength, his touch was gentle—careful, as if handling something delicate
You stirred slightly, but with Gyro’s calm movements and the way his arms held you securely, you quickly nestled into his chest, your head resting against his shoulder. His broad, steady heartbeat lulled you further into sleep as he stood up and carried you towards the nearby tent
As they approached the tent, Johnny Joestar, his usual partner in the race, gave a brief glance over. His expression was a mixture of amusement and confusion. "Didn’t think you had it in you to play babysitter" Johnny said, his tone playful, though there was genuine respect in his voice. He knew Gyro was much more than the brash, eccentric Italian he often portrayed himself as
"Somebody’s gotta make sure they sleep..." Gyro replied with a grin, though the softness in his voice betrayed the fact that he was more concerned about your well-being than anything else. "You get some rest too. We’ll need it". Johnny simply nodded, not pushing any further
Inside the tent, Gyro carefully laid you down on a small bedroll he had prepared for them. The night air had a slight chill to it, and he made sure the blanket was tucked tightly around you. In the dim light of a nearby lantern, he could see your face relax, finally giving in to the exhaustion of the day. He crouched beside you for a moment, watching the slow, peaceful rise and fall of your chest. In a world filled with spinning steel balls, deadly enemies, and the never-ending competition of the Steel Ball Run, moments like these, quiet and tender, were rare
"Sleep well, piccolo" Gyro whispered, brushing a strand of hair from your face. His voice was low and comforting, almost like a lullaby. "I’ll be here when you wake up". He moved to leave but paused, glancing back one last time. Something about the sight of you, so small and vulnerable, stirred something deep in him, a protective instinct. For all the bravado, for all the talk of honor and duty that came with being a Zeppeli, it was moments like these that reminded him of his true purpose. Healing. Caregiving. Protecting the innocent, no matter the form that took
With a quiet sigh, he leaned back against the side of the tent, sitting cross-legged beside the entrance. The campfire outside still crackled faintly, casting a warm glow that flickered through the canvas walls. Gyro rested his head back, one eye half-closed as he listened to the calm, even breaths of the regressor sleeping beside him. Tomorrow would bring more challenges, more danger, and more of the relentless race. But for now, in the stillness of the night, Gyro allowed himself to relax—if only for a little while. The world outside could wait
As he sat there, keeping watch over the small figure beside him, a faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Sweet dreams, little one," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the sounds of the prairie night.

Modern AU Caesar Zeppeli x Reader
Word Count:1382
“This is stupid.”
“That’s not fair! Anything you don’t like automatically becomes stupid.”
It was a sight to behold really. Stomping down the busy city streets came a loud blond man and an even louder brunette. The blonde was none other than Caesar Zeppeli and for the life of him he couldn’t figure out how he had allowed himself to be roped into this whole charade.
”You didn’t even give DJ’s a chance. We left after five minutes.”His loud mouthed companion, Joseph Joestar, whined, “You can’t walk through the doors of a bar, decide you hate the place and leave. You have to give it a chance, Caesar.”
”It’s your fault for thinking that I would actually be into a dive bar, Jojo. If you’re going to waste my time then at least pick somewhere that I’d like” The two had been bar hopping, or at least they would be if Caesar wouldn’t turn his nose up at every establishment they walked into.
He supposed he wasn’t being entirely fair. It wasn’t that he was so picky, not every bar was awful. Except for DJ’s, Caesar would much rather die than step foot into one more bar or club that almost exclusively relied on sports tv as their source of entertainment. Still, Caesar wasn’t the type of man that was opposed to a night out on the town, far from that really. He loved nothing more than a nice glass of wine and a dance with a beautiful woman but his heart just wasn’t in it tonight.
“Well, where do you suggest we go? Since you’re the life of the party,” Joseph threw his hands up exasperatedly.
Caesar stopped in his tracks at the question. Truth be told, he hadn’t expected it. He had expected Jojo to finally get tired of his attitude and then the two of them could return to their dorm and fall asleep in tense silence. It was a semi-common occurrence. What wasn’t common was for Joseph to actually ask for his opinion. It was unnerving but not unwelcome. It seemed he was serious about this night out.
“In that case,” Caesar trailed off, slowly walking ahead, assuming Jojo would follow “Come on”
——
Music not only filled the air, it vibrated through the building. It permeated everything within its reach. At least that’s how it felt to you from your seat at a club booth. You felt like you were shaking with each note. Like it was seeping into your very being and mutating your very DNA. You were not happy.
At all.
”Come on, cheer up, ”Called your friend from across the table. Susie Q wore an uncomfortable smile as she reached for your hand, flinching softly when you snapped it away from her, “I promise, the crowd really dies down with the night. I think you’ll enjoy yourself!”
Susie knew this wasn’t your type of scene. You knew that she knew and yet she still suggested coming out. And still, you were dumb enough to say yes.
You were never the social butterfly that the blonde girl was. Susie could make friends with anyone with just a smile, but you? Well, you weren’t unpleasant but you didn’t go out of your way to draw a crowd either. You preferred to keep to yourself, finding your own little world much more comforting. You were content with your family and a small group of friends, you never craved a marvelous social life.
Still, you deserved to have fun and admittedly going to the club sounded much funner in theory. Now sitting here with a blooming headache, you were beginning to question your judgment.
”Here, why don’t I go get us a couple of drinks?”Susie suggested, hoping you wouldn’t shoot her down. “Any requests?”
You sat silently for a second, staring off towards the wall. For a moment it seemed as if you hadn’t even heard her. After a moment, however, your shoulders sagged briefly as you mentally gave in. “Something sweet but strong..please”You finally responded, shouting out over the music.
You tried not to notice the soft smile on Susie Q’s face as she patted the table twice before jumping up and hopping off to the bar.
After she left you allowed yourself to finally look out over the club. A seemingly endless sea of bodies possessed the dance floor, swaying and moving in time with the thundering beats. Everywhere you looked it seemed like everyone was having the time of their lives. Why was it so easy for everyone else to enjoy themselves and yet you were left here miserable and overstimulated. You wanted to dance without a care in the world. You wanted to be like those people out there, meshing together as one. So why couldn’t you?
”(Y/N)!” Susie’s voice barely broke your musings and you looked up to see your friend, but this time she was flanked by a mystery man on either side. “I want to introduce you to Joseph and Caesar, they go to university with us.”As she introduced the two, she gestured to the brunette first then the blond second.
You were sure you’d recognized the taller of the two, Joseph you assumed, from your Biology 101 class. The two of you had been paired together early on in the semester during a lab and his organization skills had been abysmal, you remembered as much. This stranger though, you hadn’t the slightest clue who he was.
Definitely wasn’t ugly though.
”It’s a pleasu-“
”Hey, we have biology together!”
You bit your cheek, doing your best to hide your disdain as they spoke at the same time. Only this time it wasn’t at the interaction as a whole but at the way that Caesar rolled his eyes with a huff, his face already turning red in irritation at the interruption. If this guy was friends with Joseph you felt kind of bad for him.
”We do.” You reached out to grab your drink without looking at Joseph. You looked at the electric blue concoction, raising your eyes to look up at Caesar. “The pleasure’s all mine” and with a small acknowledging smile you looked back down.
And if you missed the light flush gracing his features, well, that was okay.
——
Susie wasn’t lying to you. As the minutes ticked by it seemed as if the people fled along with them. It was half past midnight when you really realized the gaps between groups on the dance floor. The chatter that once filled the room was beginning to die down, leaving room for the music to fully take over. The decrease of action did the same for your nerves, and at long last you could finally relax. Finally the room became less of neon blur, more of the picture of an okay night out.
You’d gone through a couple of drinks and was halfway through your third one when you caught slender fingers tapping on the table out of the corner of your eye. Slender fingers led to a thick forearm which led to a softly smiling Caesar. He’d done this same action throughout the night when he wanted your attention. It was much easier than yelling at the top of his lungs.
”Would you want to dance? It’s not as packed out there anymore” Had he been paying attention? The two of you had mainly stuck to the table. Well, mainly you did when every now and then Caesar would trot off to the bar or off for the occasional dance. He would always come back though. Susie and Joseph however, they’d abandoned the table long ago. Truth be told, the two had disappeared into the sea of bodies earlier and had yet to return. You suspected you’d been ditched but still held out some hope.
”What do you say?” You hadn’t realized you’d zoned out until your eyes refocused
You looked off towards the center of the room, letting out a quiet sigh. “Oh what the hell”You mumbled to yourself before taking your new companion by the hand and dragging him off to dance, and unbeknownst to you, Caesar was sporting the biggest grin.
Maybe tonight wasn’t such a waste after all.

“She’s so small.”
Jotaro’s voice was just as small; quiet enough that they barely heard him through the thin walls separating the bathroom from their bedroom. After having washed up a little in the middle of the night (something they rather enjoyed, amidst all the fuss of waking up at ungodly hours to feed their daughter), they made their way back to their room.
The scene they walked in on was something that must’ve come straight out of their most personal dreams, one that a younger version of them would’ve been pining after every single day and blushing furiously as their imagination ran with them.
There was Jotaro, lying back in bed with his legs crossed as he always was—only this time, his shirt was pulled off and strewn to the side somewhere. Jolyne’s tiny body was nestled against his naked chest, her clean skin a little flushed and all endearing. Her entire fist was curled around just one of her father’s fingers, while his other hand cradling her head was carefully brushing through her dark tufts of hair.
It was that sight alone that sent their heart pounding in their chest and threatening to burst through their ribcage with sheer adoration. “You’re really keen on listening to the nurse’s advice for skin-to-skin contact, huh?”
His response wasn’t verbal; just a nod of his head and a mesmerized look on his face as he watched their daughter coo a little at the soothing motions he did. She seemed to be just as attached as he was, half-asleep and blinking up drowsily at him, while still leaning into his every touch in the way that endearingly clingy babies did.
“Jolyne likes it,” Jotaro simply said, his teal eyes softer than they’d ever seen as he regarded Jolyne with that same rare adoration that he bestowed upon the very few people he adored, undeniably so. He only tore his gaze away from her to look at them as they crawled into bed beside their spouse and daughter. “It’s late, and you’re tired. You should sleep.”
“So should you.” Their hand came to rest on the left side of his chest, palm settling against the warm skin and feeling every reassuring thump of his heart beating. A soft caress only helped his heart to pick up the pace, and a small, almost-imperceptible blush to rise up the tips of his ears. “You’ve been getting up almost every single night, and even feeding her on the days I’m too exhausted. You need rest too, darling.”
Jotaro stilled for a few moments, before turning his attention back to little Jolyne, who seemed to be close to slipping back into her dreamless slumber. He didn’t utter a word for a bit; long enough for them to start doubting he’d say anything at all.
Until, that is, he broke the silence with six little words, softly spoken with all the yearning in the world, and with his eyes looking so tenderly at her; like he was cradling the entire world in his hands, despite being calloused hands that had—for a heart-achingly long time—only ever been used for violence and bloodshed.
“I don’t want to miss anything.”
It dug deep into their heart and nestled there, right with all of the millions of reasons they’d already had and learnt as to why they love him so wholly; that keenness of his that branded him as someone so fiercely devoted to the few he let inside his impossibly high walls. And it was a privilege that they wanted to cherish forever.
“You won’t miss out on anything if you just let yourself relax.” They leaned in to press a soft kiss to his slightly-stubbled cheek. “We’ll still be here in the morning, I promise you. We’re not going anywhere.”
All they got was a grunt to show that he was listening, and nothing more. Jotaro remained fixated on the sight of Jolyne’s chubby cheeks smooshed against his skin, and rosy with the happiness of a good feed.
But they could see how their words seemed to settle into his mind, as the tension unwound between his shoulders, and his body sunk deeper into the pillows he’d nestled against. The small furrow between his thick eyebrows had slowly melted away, and the ever-so-gentle quirk of his lips into a half-smile brought their heart to a near-stop.
He huffed out what sounded like a quiet chuckle. “I’ll hold you to your word, then.”

Rendezvous, regrets and reconciliations ☆彡
Summary: Living life through Italy's mafioso lifestyle, Guido Mista broke his lover's heart to keep her safe. But when a dangerous mission leaves him wounded and desperate, he's back outside her door, sparking up a long awaited reunion.
A/N: Couldn’t find many Guido Mista works that I loved so I had to take matters into my own hands :p The lack of drama in my life kinda prompted this lol
*・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'・*:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・* *・゜゚・*:.。..。.:*・'・*
Guido Mista had always lived on the edge, his existence bound by the unspoken rules of Passione, the most powerful criminal organization in Italy. His days were filled with peril and uncertainty, a constant dance with death. It was this treacherous life that had driven him to break her heart. Months ago, he had ended things abruptly, leaving her with cryptic words about her safety and his duty. He couldn’t bear the thought of her being caught in the crossfire of his violent world. Every day since, the decision haunted him, but he convinced himself it was ultimately for the best; for her.
Tonight, everything was bound to change. A mission had gone disastrously wrong, leaving him wounded and desperate. There was only one person he trusted with his life, the only one who knew how to heal his wounds—her. Swallowing his pride, he staggered to her door, blood seeping through his shirt, each step a painful reminder of his vulnerability.
When she opened the door, her eyes widened with shock and anger. They hadn’t seen each other since the breakup, and the sight of him, battered and broken, ignited a storm of emotions. Her hesitation was palpable, the instinct to care for him warring with the hurt he had caused.
“You shouldn’t be here,” she said, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and fury. “I had nowhere else to go,” he replied, his voice strained with pain.
Reluctantly, she let him in, her heart pounding with a mixture of apprehension and unresolved feelings. She guided him to the couch, where he sank heavily, the tension between them palpable in the heavy silence that enveloped the room. His labored breathing echoed in the stillness, a stark reminder of the danger that he had narrowly escaped.
As she carefully tended to his wounds, their hands brushed, sending a jolt of electricity through them both. Memories of their shared past flooded back, each touch reigniting the deep connection they had once shared.
"I never wanted to hurt you, you know," he said suddenly, his voice breaking the silence that had settled between them. "I thought leaving was the only way to keep you safe."
Her eyes flickered with a mix of emotions—pain, confusion, and a flicker of understanding. She swallowed hard, grappling with the conflicting feelings that his words stirred within her. The weight of his confession hung heavily in the air, mingling with the scent of antiseptic and the soft murmur of distant traffic outside. In that moment, they both realized the complexity of their shared history and the fragile hope of a future still uncertain.
"Do you have any idea how much you hurt me?" she shot back, her voice trembling with a mixture of anger and pain, her eyes glistening with unshed tears that threatened to spill over. She stood before him, her posture tense and her hands clenched into fists. The weight of his absence had carved a hole into her heart, a void of unanswered questions and lingering pain.
"You left without a word, without an explanation," she continued, her voice wavering as she struggled to contain the emotions that surged within her.
"I thought I was doing the right thing," he admitted softly, his voice barely a whisper, his gaze fixed on the ground as he finally met her gaze. "But I was wrong. Being away from you has been torture."
His words hung in the air between them, heavy with regret and longing. The room felt suffocatingly small, filled with the echo of their unresolved feelings and the ache of lost time. She searched his face for any sign of the man she once knew, grappling with the complexity of forgiveness and the undeniable pull of their shared history.
“Do you think it was any easier for me?” Her voice broke, trembling with the weight of unspoken pain. She clenched her fists, her knuckles turning white, as tears welled up in her eyes. “Every day, I wondered why you left, if you were alive, if you cared at all.”
The room seemed to close in around her, the air thick with the tension of years of unanswered questions. “I spent sleepless nights staring at the ceiling, hoping for a sign, a clue, anything that would tell me you were out there somewhere.” She turned away, her shoulders shaking with silent sobs, unable to meet his gaze. “Each day was a battle against the crushing silence, the unanswered questions that gnawed at my sanity.”
“I cared too much,” he said, wincing slightly as he shifted on the couch. His eyes held a mix of pain and regret, haunted by the decisions that had led them to this moment. “I couldn’t stand the thought of you getting hurt because of me.”
She was visibly frustrated now, her emotions raw and unfiltered. “But you did hurt me, Guido,” she replied, her voice tinged with disappointment and lingering hurt. “You hurt me more than anyone else ever could.”
Their words hung in the air between them, heavy with unresolved tension and the weight of unspoken truths. As she finished bandaging him, their heated conversation simmered into a tense truce. The raw honesty of their exchange began to dissolve the walls that had kept them apart.
Mista reached out, his hand trembling slightly as he gently took her hand in his. Their fingers intertwined, a silent acknowledgment of the tangled emotions that bound them together. The raw honesty of their exchange began to dissolve the walls between them. Mista reached out, gently taking her hand in his.
“I’m sorry,” he said, his voice thick with regret as he looked deeply into her eyes. “I was a fool to think I could live without you. I truly do think that we’re soulmates, there’s no one who could make me feel things you do.”
Her long-surprised emotions had finally hit her as Tears finally escaped her eyes, freely trailing down her cheeks. She nodded slowly, her body trembling with the intensity of their reunion. The pain of their separation mingled with the overwhelming relief of his return, creating a whirlwind of emotions within her.
In that moment, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them standing together. The room, with its dim lighting and soft murmurs of distant conversations hailing from the show that she was *previously* watching, became a distant backdrop to their long awaited reunion. They had both realized that no matter the dangers and uncertainties that lay ahead, they couldn’t deny their love.
They had found solace in each other’s arms, slowly piecing back the fragments of their broken hearts. Their reunion was a testament to the strength of their bond, a love that could withstand even the darkest of worlds.
Suddenly, the raw tension between them shifted like a gust of wind changing direction. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached out to touch the bandage wrapped around his torso, the reality of their dangerous situation looming large in the air around them.
"How bad is it?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, her eyes searching his face for reassurance.
"Bad enough," he admitted with a grimace, his gaze dropping briefly to the floor before meeting hers again. "It was a setup. They knew we were coming."
Her brow furrowed in concern, a mix of fear and anger surfacing in her expression. "Who did this to you, Guido?" Her voice quivered with a mixture of emotions, betraying her worry and determination to get to the bottom of the betrayal that had left him wounded and their mission compromised.
He hesitated, a shadow crossing his face as he revealed the danger that had brought him to her doorstep. The weight of his words echoed in the dimly lit room, where the silence between them held the gravity of their shared past and uncertain future. “A rival faction within Passione. Someone wants me out of the picture.”
Her breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening with alarm as she grasped the implications. The room felt smaller, suffused with tension thick enough to cut with a knife. “And you came here? To me? You know they could follow you.”
“I had no choice,” he admitted, his voice urgent yet tinged with a hint of desperation. He shifted uncomfortably, aware of the risk he had brought to her doorstep. “I couldn’t trust anyone else. And… I needed to see you. To make things right.” Her hands trembled slightly as she reached out, a mixture of fear and unresolved feelings bubbling to the surface. The hierarchy of their shared history, the bonds and betrayals of their intertwined lives, loomed large in the space between them. “What if they find you here? What if they come after me?”
His grip on her hand tightened, a silent vow underscored by the weight of their entangled fates. “I won’t let that happen. I’ll protect you, no matter what.”
“How Guido? …By leaving me again?” Her voice trembled with bitterness, the wounds of past abandonment still raw despite the years that had passed. “No,” he said firmly, his resolve stealing his voice. “This time, I’m staying. We’ll figure this out together.”
She searched his eyes, seeing a glimmer of the man she had once trusted implicitly amidst the shadows of doubt. “You promise?”
“I promise,” he affirmed, pulling her into a fierce embrace that spoke volumes of unspoken apologies and renewed determination.
“We’ll face whatever comes. Together.”

Heyy are you still taking requests??
If so can I please have a Steve Harrington x Sinclair!reader blubber or one shot please. The idea is that this takes place like around season three (or just awhile after Steve and Nancy’s breakup) and Steve and Reader have been getting closer because of all of the events that were going on in the show. And reader realizes that she has been falling for him but the problem is that she’s close friends with Nancy but feels weird for liking her ex. But like Nancy pretty much hints to her that it’s fine and whatever.
Love you work thank you 🫶🏾💜
hi love! thank you for the request & sorry abt the wait! but i hope you enjoy! <3
wc: 3.7k
What is one supposed to do when they just so happen to fall for their ex-girlfriend's best friend? It was a daunting question that rattled around Steve's mind with harsh clangs, making him toss and turn in bed when he tried to sleep. The poor thing even resorted to counting sheep when the only thing he could see behind his closed eyes was your pretty face that made him so pitifully nervous.
Liking you was troubling. It was divine and dreadful all at once.
The divine. Steve could easily recall the first time he met you like it was his favorite scene of his favorite movie.
Billy's 1979 Camaro made a loud screech when he drove up to the Byers' home unwelcomed. He brought mayhem as he searched for Max, unhesitat to torment your little brother Lucas in the process. You were fearless when giving Billy a piece of your mind, calling him all kinds of inglorious names and jabbing your finger at him when he sneered at you with that Hargrove smirk you despised.
Though you were undoubtedly no damsel in distress, clearly knowing how to stand your ground, Steve had unfaltering determination as he went to defend you and your sibling. He threw the first punch at him, knowing that Billy wasn't the kind of person that responded well to empty threats.
Unfortunately, that was his last lucid memory from that night.
Steve would (reluctantly) admit that he didn't end that brawl unscathed, but his heart certainly grew a couple sizes for you when you tended to his wounds soon after. Gentle with his cuts and bruises, you'd shyly smile and mumble little apologies when he'd hiss and flinch.
Steve had already known of you and seen you around school, sure, but this was his first time truly in your presence.
There was something so calming and warm about it.
But one thing that Steve wanted etched on his mind forever, was the Snowball of '84.
The blue glittery dress you wore adorned your figure perfectly, hair framing the beautiful picture of your face. You were there as a volunteer, chaperoning the middle schoolers but Lucas but in particular, as you grew fiercely protective over him after uncovering the deep secrets of Hawkins.
Steve was practically drooling as he gazed at you from his car, no longer able to focus on whatever it was Dustin had been rambling about. Handing out cups of punch to kids in line, your smile was bright and glittering while you shared a conversation. With Nancy.
The dreadful. It was your relationship with her that spared you of Steve's magnetic charm. Other than his newfound shyness, of course.
Nancy and you were two peas in a pod, rarely ever being seen without the other, especially when Lucas and Mike became friends. The two of you were always on study dates, had each other on speed dial, and even had friendship bracelets with the other's initials donned on your wrists. She was more than a best friend to you. More like a sister, you thought.
But Steve couldn't help himself from lingering a bit after he would drive Lucas home from whatever nerdy activity he needed a ride back from. The tenderhearted boy was beautifully uncreative in his efforts to get your attention, as he used any and every tactic imaginable.
He'd ask you about the book you were nose-deep in, though he knew damn well the title would soon be forgotten once the conversation was over. He'd tell you about his favorite shows and movies when he caught you in the living room struggling to find something to watch. He even offered to teach how to drive when you casually mentioned something about getting your license.
Soon enough, shy waves and awkward small talk turned into late nights listening to Fleetwood Mac and intense game nights of Monopoly and Scrabble.
Steve didn't win at Scrabble too often. He kept trying to play words that simply just didn't exist.
It was June of 1985 and school had been out for the past couple weeks. Scoops Ahoy, a new ice cream joint that Erica was adamant to drag you to at least three times a week, became your new favorite place when you saw Steve behind the counter.
"Nice outfit, Harrington," you giggled, and though he knew you weren't really making fun of him, Steve blushed away, eyes shifty. You often left a little tip in the jar when you'd leave, thanking Steve for his hospitality and influx of free ice cream samples.
Today was different, though. Steve was unable to ignore the disappointment that overwhelmed him when your little sister had shown up without you. He nodded his head at her as she neared the counter, "Where's your sister?"
Erica cocked an eyebrow, hand dropping down onto her hip. "I'm sorry, do I look like her keeper? I'm just here for my usual, sailor man." Steve fixed his gaze on the blue and white clock on the wall that's arms pointed to read 12:17. Usually you were here to collect your fair share of free dessert too, but it was nearly rush hour and your favorite flavor was running low.
"Well no, but she's your keeper and I'm just a little curious, is all," he corrected, spooning a hearty serving of peanut butter chocolate swirl onto a cone. She tapped her foot impatiently, waving her hand to suggest that she wanted a second helping. If you want information, it comes with a price. His eyes were squinted at her before he rolled them, giving in to her wishes.
"Here, that's all you're getting. Now spill."
Her smile was wide when she took the cone from Steve's hand, finally satisfied. "You really need to work on your customer service skills," she pointed, a look of disapproval weighing on her face when she turned to look at Steve.
"She's at home. I think. I don't know, I haven't been there in a few hours. She could be in another country for all I know," she paused to take an obnoxious lick, "Pleasure doing business with ya', sailor man!"
Steve watched as she skipped back to her busy swarm of friends whose cackles and squeals could be heard from worlds away. He looked down at the array of ice cream in front of him, frowning at the puny supply of your favorite. Grabbing a to-go cup from under the counter, Steve garnered as much as he could of the dessert, some of it spilling over when he covered it with a plastic lid.
Robin peered over his shoulder as he scribbled something on it with a permanent marker, though she wasn't able to decipher Steve's dodgy handwriting.
"I'm going on break, cover the front for me," Steve announced, making his way out of the parlor. His stride was hasty and confident.
In the distance, he could hear the smirk in Robin's voice, "Tell her I said hi!"
﹏𓊝﹏
2550 Maple Street. Steve rolled slowly past the creaky mailbox that read 'The Sinclair's', careful not to drive over the yellow tulips by the driveway that your mother spent all spring gardening. They were coming along really nicely.
Every once in a while, Steve would ask to help her with all the weeding and trimming and other maintenance that she often called a headache. Never in a million years did Steve think he'd be so avid for a girl and her family's approval that he'd become a part time florist, but here he was.
Surveying himself in the rearview mirror, Steve plucked off the silly sailor hat that crowned his head with a huff before aimlessly tossing it, getting it as far from his self-proclaimed best feature as possible. His fingers busily shoveled through his thick tresses, searching for the perfect marriage of tousled and tamed.
To say Steve was a bit on edge was a terrible understatement. The feeling of his stomach pulling into a tight knot at the mere thought of you was something so foreign to him. He hadn't felt this way in such a long time, especially not since he'd been with Nancy. It was refreshing but damn stressful.
But you were well worth the stress and queasy stomachs.
Steve hurriedly dusted himself off, wishing he had enough time to drive to his house to change into a less ridiculous outfit. He just wanted to look his best for you.
Approaching your dark green painted abode, mumbled words of encouragement poured out of Steve's lips. He spoke with his hands and made little faces, and he had no doubt that he looked like a crazy person to your neighbors that walked by.
His fist somewhat stalled when he raised it to the wooden door, his little pep talk had only done so much to boost his confidence. But it was too late to turn back now, he thought. He left three knocks to the door anyway, figuring that he already made it this far.
With his gaze set on his shifty feet that stood on the tawny welcome mat, his heart felt sharp against his ribs when the door abruptly swung open. "Steve?"
He looked up with wide eyes only to find your younger brother, eyebrows pulled together. He had the landline clutched close to his chest, seemingly on the phone with someone.
"Sinclair! Just the person I was looking for," he watched as Lucas' fingers twisted at the lock of the gold door knob idly. The cozy smell of breakfast wafted towards Steve. "Sort of," Steve added, shrugging.
"What's goin' on?" Lucas blinked at him in anticipation.
"Nothing much. Just lookin' for your sister," he said, tapping his finger on the bowl in his hand. He squinted at the sky, peeved, cursing the searing heat of the sun. That ice cream was melting like an ice cube in a desert. And his sweaty palms surely weren't helping its case.
Lucas scanned the yard, finding that Erica's bike was missing. From what he could remember, he heard her yapping something about hanging out at the mall, however many hours ago.
"She's probably at Starcourt terrorizing the world like usual, you might wanna look there," he pointed with his thumb. Steve could hear an irked voice spouting from the phone, wondering where Lucas had gone. Max, he assumed.
He chuckled, leaning against the door frame, "Yeah, you’re not wrong." Though Erica didn't particularly struggle to ruffle up people's feathers, Steve was actually growing to find the charm in her temperament. He even caught himself fighting to cage his laugh at her snarky comments more often than not. Hanging around her so much will do that to you.
"But your older sister, I mean. She here?"
Lucas gestured upstairs to your room, stepping aside to make way for Steve. Mumbling a thanks, he abandoned his sneakers by the door, per your mother's usual request, and trekked up the staircase— butterflies reckless in his stomach.
You tried your hardest to maintain your composure as you listened to the slow thuds of approaching footsteps. It didn't take Sherlock Holmes to know it was Steve. Not only could you pick out his voice in a crowd of countless people, but from your window, you spied his parked maroon BMW in the driveway. It was hopeless to try biting back the smile that crept up when you heard he was there to see you.
The bedroom door wasn't closed but Steve knocked anyway, calling out for you in a soft tone. Heat rushed to your chest and ears at the sound of your name falling from his pink, plush lips that you so badly wanted to kiss.
It was romantic thoughts like those of Steve that spread guilt through you like venom, knowing that he was Nancy's ex after all. It had been your shoulder that she cried on when her relationship with him ended, and you easily felt like the worst friend imaginable when you found yourself falling for him.
You managed to keep your bond with him strictly platonic, but boy was it difficult.
"Steve?" He smiled when you peered around the door, features posing a coy smile of your own. His hand shyly waved at you while the other stayed tucked behind his back, "Hey, you." He shuffled into your room, appreciating the way your shaggy rug felt delicate and feathery on his aching feet that he'd been standing on for too many hours.
Your bed squeaked when he sat in the space next to your abundance of stuffed animals that Steve liked to call the "wardens" of your bed. It was so adorable to him how gingerly you took care of them– even murmuring a little apology when you bumped into one by accident.
He let out a soft laugh when he glanced at you, mindful to not stare at you, though that's all he really wanted to do, "You still in your pjs?"
Nothing but tight shorts hidden beneath a baggy band shirt draped your body. While Steve thought you looked utterly perfect, you suddenly felt awfully naked.
Shaking off the fuzzy warmth that rushed over you, you scoffed, crossing playfully defensive arms over your chest. “You should be the last person talking about outfits," your eyes scanned his tall, slender frame.
Steve's jaw fell open, theatrically appalled at your quip.
“Oh, don't act like you don't love me in this outfit, princess,” he smirked. The nickname made your nerves all fiery and tingly. "I see the way you stare at my legs when I'm in these shorts. My eyes are up here, FYI."
With your head falling back, an echoing giggle escaped you. It's a laugh so pretty and sugary, it could sweeten even the most sour lemon.
Steve couldn't ward off the reddening of his cheeks.
"In your dreams, Harrington," you replied, plopping yourself in the chair by your vanity. You distracted yourself from Steve's teasing with tidying the clutter that obscured the desk. The nerves you felt would only further ignite if you kept looking into his warm eyes.
"Well, despite the minor insult to my uniform, which I'm not gonna take personally," he beamed, finally revealing what he had hidden behind his back, "I got somethin' for ya." His teeth trapped his bottom lip in its constraints, eyes wide with anticipation as you inspected your little present.
The cup was wet with condensation and leaking melted ice cream but underneath it all read, "something sweet for a sweet girl :)".
And just like the ice cream, you melted.
"Steveee," you gushed, licking off the dessert that dripped onto your fingers that were growing frigid. "You came over just to bring me ice cream?" The smile you wore was glittering and well worth the effort.
Steve was all mumbly and shy when he responded, "Well, I know it's your favorite and that was the last of it, so," he shrugged before he could give himself the chance to ramble.
You wrestled the urge to swoon. How could one person be so adorable? And why did that one person have to be your friend's ex?
"Well, that's very kind, Stevie. Thanks," you beamed.
"'S no problem," he shrugged with a shy smile, taking a glimpse of his watch.
He had a mere twelve minutes to get back to work on time. "Shit, I gotta get back before Robin kills me, but I'll see you soon, okay?"
"Later, Steve."
Rising from your bed, he made his way to your door. His footsteps were slow and hesitant, as he seemed to have something on his mind. You were following behind him when he spun around suddenly, your bodies nearly colliding. "Actually, there's somethin' I wanted to ask you," his eyes were squeezed shut while he pointed as he spoke.
His face was flushed and his feet tapped at the wooden floor rapidly. You don't recall ever seeing Steve so nervous. "Yeah?"
"There's some house party tonight that I was, uh, thinking about going to. I was, you know, hoping that maybe, you'd wanna go with me? Like a date?"
Your mouth was open but sentences, words, really any sound at all, failed to come out. The boy you'd been crushing on for weeks that felt more like years, had finally asked you out. And you had no choice but to say no.
Your silence was deafening. "Or maybe we could go to that carnival? I could win you another warden for your bed," he laughed.
"I'd really like that, Steve, honestly, but–"
"Nancy," he finished, eyes diverting to his feet. His fluffy brunette hair blocked your view of his face. It wasn't fun seeing Steve who you're so used to joking with look so down.
"I could, maybe, talk to her?" Your tone was quiet, but hopeful.
"Are you sure? I don't wanna come in between you guys."
"Don't worry about that, her and I will be fine," your smile was confident but deep down you weren't as optimistic as you let on. Nancy and you made a promise to each other to never let anything like secrets or dumb boys ruin your relationship. But, here you were. "Now, go, your break is almost up."
"Okay," he grinned, "I'll see you tonight?"
Nodding, you waved him goodbye, watching him retreat downstairs. Your back leaned against your door when you closed it, before you looked over at your soupy ice cream, defeated.
How could you choose between your best friend and the boy you were crushing on? It shouldn't even be a question, really. The guilt was already gnawing at you mercilessly.
﹏𓊝﹏
The cards you held were sticky on your clammy palms. The echoes of your talk with Steve just a few hours prior were intrusive and blaring. Taking a sip of whatever was in your red solo cup, you tried to drown out the roaring voices of the people at the party, along with the thumping music that numbed your ears.
Your leg was impatient and desperate as it shook up and down, doing its best to repel the anxiety that bit at you. It certainly didn't help that Nancy was sitting right next to you, oblivious to the stolen glances and sneaky smiles you and Steve were exchanging all night.
Rubbing your stomach that felt queasy and pulled into a knot, you hadn't noticed that it was your turn to play. You weren't entirely sure you even remembered the name of the game you found yourself in.
"Hey, are you alright?" Nancy's hand fell onto your thigh, running a comforting thumb across your skin. Her blue doe eyes searched your face, though she's known you long enough to already know that you were far from 'alright'.
"Yeah, why?" Your lips were pulled into a tight smile, trying and inevitably failing to give your best impression of a genuine grin. And of course, Nancy sees the way you aren't seeing her. When you mindlessly played a random card, your eyes were fidgety and unfocused– a clear sign that you were frenzied.
"Cause you look like you're about to throw up," her eyebrows were pulled together in concern as she continued to probe, "Seriously, what's wrong?"
A dreary sigh escaped you as you cursed yourself for not being as discreet as you hoped to be. You should've know that someone you considered your sister would be able to see right through you like glass.
"It's just," you hesitated. It was now or never. "Just-"
"Steve?" Her voice lowered when she said his name, noticing the way your face shifted and became an odd mixture of relieved and confused. Your head snapped in her direction, finally meeting her gaze for the first time that night, it felt like.
The thrashing of your heart almost made your chest ache, as you appeared to be caught in some kind of lie. You didn't tell a lie, really, but you certainly didn't feel like a noble friend.
Studying her face, you scoured to find any hint that she was about to start tearing into you, calling you every wretched name in the book. Honestly, you wouldn't blame her if she did. But there was a subtle smirk on her face. A stark difference in the expression you imagined she'd be wearing upon finding out about your little puppy crush on Steve.
"How'd you know?"
"I mean, it's no secret you guys have been hanging out lately," she laughed a bit, taking your hand in hers, "and I see the way you look at him. It's the same way I used to look at him."
Words completely escaped you. Your eyes and mouth were agape, in awe of Nancy's poise. It was one of the things about her that you deeply admired. "Nancy..."
She squeezed your hand, shaking her head, "No, it's okay. I was the one who broke up with him," she glanced over to where he stood in the kitchen, downing his drink before disappearing into the backyard. "Besides, I'm with Johnathan now and I'm happy."
You exchanged smiles as your nerves became the calmest they'd been in hours. "If Steve makes you happy, I'm not gonna get in your way. He's a great guy and I think you guys would be really good for each other."
Throwing yourself into her for a hug, you practically crushed her as words of gratitude spilled out of you. It was unbelievable how lucky you were to have someone like her. "You're the best, Nance." She shrugged as if it was nothing, a bright look on her face.
"Now go get him, I'll watch your drink."
Ignoring the protests from the others who were still in the game as you walked away, you dodged dancing and mingling party guests.
The backyard was a lot less crowded, thankfully, allowing you to easily spot Steve sitting in a hammock, tapping his fingers on a freshly opened beer bottle.
He wore light blue jeans and a yellow crew neck sweater, looking as good as ever. You couldn't believe that he was going to be completely and openly yours.
"Hey, Harrington," you basically skipped over to him, slipping into the space next to him. Your legs touched and you don't feel any guilt or urge to move away from him. It was so refreshing. "So, how 'bout that date?"
The smile Steve wore was well worth the stress and queasy stomachs.

Mori-Mori-Mori-Mori Morioh Cho Radio! This is your favourite neighbour Kai Harada! It's going to be a beautiful, sunny morning. Remember to bring hats and a bottle of water. I wish everyone a tasty coffee accompanied by the best songs from the top of playlists. We'll see you again in an hour. The topic of the day will be the mysterious disappearances of dogs. Stay with us!
Yoshikage Kira stretched. Satisfied, he reached for a cup of dark brown liquid. He took a sip of the pleasantly hot liquid. It burned his tongue a little but that's what he loved. He glanced at the clock. He still had a few minutes to go. As a decent office worker, he did not allow himself to be late.
He thought about what he heard on the radio. Undoubtedly, some stand user has just attracted attention. He smiled happily. This will only distract any attention from him. It was going to be another great day.
— Come on, honey — he said caressingly.
He grabbed a delicate hand, twisted his nose at the rotten stench. The hand was almost completely dead. He sprayed it with flower spray, grabbed his briefcase and left. He will have to find a new woman. But that could wait. Leaning out at this point could end badly. So he went to the office, hugging his beloved.
***
[Reader] rushed out the school door, clutching her bag tightly. She almost hit a young middle school student. She waited impatiently for the bell to ring and then she was detained after class. No matter how hard she tried, she was fifteen minutes late.
The heat in Morioh was becoming unbearable. The stronger the sun shone, the more tourists came. And that meant ice cream prices were going up. Recently, she and boys found a place where they could get them quite cheaply. In the afternoon, the best ones were often already sold out. Therefore, it was necessary to run as fast as possible.
— [Reader], what's taking you so long? — Okuyasu kicked a pebble impatiently.
— Were you attacked by an enemy stand? — Kōichi looked at her. — Just a moment and we would go looking for you.
— I'm fine. — She waved her hand dismissively. — It's all Kūjō-san's fault.
Higashikata smiled widely when he saw her. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek. He was slightly confused, as he always was when she showed him affection in public places. Immediately afterwards, however, he eagerly grabbed her hand and they headed towards the store.
— But what does Mr. Kūjō have to do with you being late? — Nijimura never thought too fast.
The only time he really shined was in fights. Apart from them, he couldn't be expected to handle something his brother always did for him. Now that he had only his father left, he had to rely on his friends. The girl sometimes wondered how he would cope without them.
However, JoJo immediately understood what she meant. He sighed softly and muttered the customary: Yare yare greato daze. He didn't like the situation they were in either. They couldn't do anything with it. As usual, it all came down to Yoshikage Kira and the danger hanging in the air.
— I was late because Shizuka-san asked me to set her up with Jōsuke. You have no idea how difficult it was to get her off. All because your uncle — she pointed an accusing finger at her boyfriend — forbade us to show anyone that we were together.
— I'd rather not hide it either — he admitted — but I guess we don't have a choice.
— You aren't hiding now. — Okuyasu scratched his head thoughtfully.
You could almost hear the gears turning in his mind.
— Because he was only talking about school, so technically we're not breaking the ban at all — [Reader] blurted out.
She high-fived her 'partner in crime'. They had always shared a clever way of dealing with life's awkward situations. Lately, it had come in handy more often than they would have liked.
The heat pouring from the sky was becoming more and more noticeable. She was glad to be walking on the side of the sidewalk where the trees sheltered her. On the right, JoJo was blocking the sun. With his height, he created a perfect shadow the entire way.
When they saw the store, they rushed towards it. There was a nice cool air conditioning coming from inside. For a moment they just stood and breathed in the beneficial, cold air.
— Who pays today? — Hirose asked the usual question.
The three of them turned their eyes towards Higashikata. It was his turn.
— I don't have money anymore. — He scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment.
— You've just won the lottery! What did you spend that money on? — The short friend looked at him in disbelief.
— My mother froze my account until I was an adult — he sighed.
One million six hundred and sixty-six thousand and six hundred and sixty-six yen had been floating around in his head for two weeks. It was useless to follow Shigechi across half the city. When he finally got the check, Tomoko said she wouldn't let him spend that much money. So he said goodbye to the vision of luxury.
— Fortunately, my father can't take my money. — Nijimura laughed and went inside with Kōichi.
The building was tiny. Four people couldn't fit in it. Maybe that's why the prices are so low. It's also possible that the old man behind the counter simply didn't know much about business.
The girl leaned against the building. There was no one on the street. Most people were at work at this time. Tourists marched to the beach, and school students returned home.
A quiet footstep broke the undisturbed silence. She glanced at the direction it was coming from. A tiny dog was running across the road. Luckily for it, there were no cars. It had a red collar that jingled softly with every step. The white chihuahua moved its paws as fast as it could.
It was only after a while that she noticed the owner chasing him. The breathless woman stopped in front of her. She recognized her as a distant neighbour. She was holding the leash. The hair on her head was already starting to turn gray. By wearing a pencil skirt and high boots, she doomed herself to failure. In such an outfit, she had no chance of catching the animal.
— Have you seen my dog? — she asked, then described his appearance.
JoJo nodded.
— It ran through here a moment ago. — He pointed in the direction.
— How did she get up so quickly? Where did he get so much strength from? — she muttered.
[Reader] exchanged a knowing look with Jōsuke. It wasn't right to leave her in need. There went the quiet afternoon.
— We might help you look for her? — she suggested.
— It would be great. Her name is Kiki. — She left her phone number and then ran away.
They had quite a run in the heat before them.
***
The girl sent Butterfly ahead. Sometimes she wished she could, like her boyfriend, just punch the enemy. The group of butterflies was great for searching and tracking. However, it could not replace the brutal strength that even Star Platinum had at its disposal. The Joestar family always said that power is only as good as its user. Yet throwing a colourful insect at someone could only disgust them. The only advantage was the distance at which she could control the stand. Fifty meters usually happened with self-controlled entities.
When she finally managed to pick up the trail, she followed him with Higashikata. The other two separated fifteen minutes ago, hoping to find Kiki on the other side of the intersection. They didn't want to waste time. Especially since the whole thing smelled strongly of mysterious disappearances of animals from the area. They called Mr. Kūjō from a nearby payphone to let him know how things were going, and went deeper into the forest.
At first the route looked promising. The wide, beaten path through the trees looked familiar. Sometimes they went for walks here. However, the further they went, the more they had to stray from the well-traveled trail. The soft ground was covered with green needles and moss. The trees cast ominous shadows among the low bushes. They grew more and more densely. The couple stopped running. It became impossible. They responded to every sound of a breaking branch or slight breeze with readiness to attack.
That's why they lost the dog again. She must have gotten far enough away that the butterflies couldn't see her. They came back and started circling around the owner.
So they continued heading in the direction Kiki had been heading before. Morioh is a small town. They should be able to walk through the forest within an hour and come out on the other side. As long as they don't get lost.
— Did you hear that? — [Reader] stopped for the first time in a long time.
She sincerely hoped her ears weren't deceiving her. The rustling of the leaves seemed to increase.
JoJo didn't answer. Slowly and quietly he looked around. He summoned Crazy Diamond and waited.
Butterfly flew forward and stopped nearby. A boar was roaming under one of the spreading trees. For a moment it seemed to be looking for food. It snorted quietly and put its snout to the ground. But when it raised its fangs, it turned towards the travelers. It was as if it had been looking for them all along.
— Back away slowly — she whispered, trying to get out of the boar's way.
But it didn't help. A war cry announced a murderous charge. Several dozen kilograms rushed towards them.
Jōsuke spotted a tree with low-growing branches. Without thinking, he started climbing, aided by his stand. [Reader] wasn't doing that well. The bark tore her fingers until they bled. She mentally cursed her stupid uniform skirt. That's why she was doing so poorly. The boy grabbed her hand just in time. Just after she had safely grabbed onto the thick trunk, the boar hit the wood. Splinters fell. The world staggered slightly for a moment.
— Crazy Diamond!
A purple fist met a brown snout. One attack wasn't enough. Slightly stunned, the animal turned and charged again. Higashikata waited for it to run up and then rained down a barrage of blows on it. It was moments like these that he regretted that his range was only two meters. He had to go lower, risking a close encounter with the fangs.
The tired, battered boar finally gave up. With its tail between its legs, it limped as far away as he could.
— Do you think they are under protection?
— Is that really what you're worried about now? — [Reader] laughed in disbelief.
— I don't have money for a fine. — He rubbed his temple thoughtfully.
Suddenly something white flashed in the bushes.
— Over there! — she shouted, pointing in the direction.
She clumsily slid down the tree and ran towards where she saw movement. She stepped straight into the mud almost immediately. Or at least that's what she preferred to think. She didn't want to assume the worst. Brown, smelly goo stuck to the shoe. Wiping the nasty stuff in the letter didn't do much good. She cursed quietly under her breath.
At least she finally found it.
— There you are, Kiki. — She slowly extended her hand towards her.
The Chihuahua tentatively sniffed her fingers. She nuzzled her trustingly. Satisfied, she took her in her arms. JoJo shouted something but she didn't hear him. She immediately felt a terrible pain in her ear. Blood flooded her eye. Instinctively she reached out her hand towards it. The red liquid was flowing at an alarming rate. Only then did she realize that the dog had bitten her.
— You damn…— She didn't finish the sentence.
The little enemy attacked the ankle. She didn't look down. She was afraid that she would throw up her breakfast at the sight of flesh.
Jōsuke caught Kiki struggling and healed her wounds with Crazy Diamond. However, the momentary peace did not last long. They saw a man in strange fur. Immediately afterwards, a snake rushed towards the boy with stunning speed. He managed to catch it but the two deadly fangs left tiny red wounds. It hurt. He knew he didn't have much time. He squeezed the reptile tightly. The stand user had no choice. He separated himself and stood before them. Higashikata held him by the throat to be sure. Enough that he couldn't move. However, this caused the animal to slip away and crawl away into the trees.
— Don't hurt me! — the enemy squeaked thinly. — You need me. Only I ca-ca-can bring him back. Without the antidote, you'll die from the v-v-venom — he stammered.
JoJo frowned. He always did this when he was worried. This didn't happen often. But now he wasn't sure what to do. He couldn't heal himself. This was the biggest drawback to his power. He had to endure every injury like a normal person.
— We don't need you at all — [Reader] said in a firm voice. — You didn't notice but I chased you to the edge of the forest.
The opponent looked back in panic.
— I also sent butterflies to find Kūjō-san. He'll be here in a minute and it's only ten minutes to the hospital. We'll make it. — She smiled defiantly.
— It can't be... you mean you did it when I was a wild boar? — His eyes widened.
— I'm the one asking the questions here. Who are you? Did Kira's father send you here? — [Reader] stuck her finger into his chest.
— My name is Ka-Ka-Kameko Hiroto — he sobbed. — Yoshihiro-san said I can do whatever I want. He called me a coward because I refused to kill people. I was too a-a-afraid.
The girl looked at him more closely. She seemed to recognize him from somewhere. However, the brown hair, small blue eyes and plain face brought no answer. In Morioh you knew almost everyone, unless they were tourists. The coat attracted the most attention. It consisted of fur pieces. Brown, black, white and gray. Dotted and spotted. They created a strange composition. The longer she looked, the more she felt sick. This is where all the missing dogs from Morioh were. He wore them as hideous clothes.
Hiroto had loved 'One Hundred and One Dalmatians' since he was a child. Every evening, his mother took a worn-out book from the shelf. There were also many others on the bookcase but she read this one to him every day. Otherwise, he simply wouldn't fall asleep. He knew the words by heart. He could recite them at every moment. Any time of day and night.
When he grew up, he started breeding fur ferrets. He studied hard, so he was accepted as an employee in a well-known and respected company. All this to look like Cruella De Vil, his idol. He wanted to create his own coat. Even if it couldn't be with white and black dots. However, it turned out that it was not that simple. He only managed to steal one piece of leather. The business was looked after with the greatest caution. He was fired pretty quickly for financial losses and animal abuse.
Bitter and angry, he moved to Morioh. The small, quiet town was supposed to give him peace. Here, where no one knew him, he decided to forget about his dream. He blended in with the crowd, toiling at the grocery store around the corner. He also rented a tiny apartment and found a fiancée. So he lived a normal life. Until fate gave him a chance — a stand that allowed him to take on the role of animals and control them. Desire overshadowed reason.
— Mercy! — he howled.
Kameko felt salty drops running down his face. Snot was coming out of his nose. He couldn't even wipe it off. He felt terrible. Until now, he had managed to reconcile his passion with the life of an average person. He was so close to achieving his goal and finishing the outfit he dreamed of. He hated the two people in front of him. He sincerely hoped they would die. If not now, then later, at the hands of the city's best assassin.
For a moment he wanted to beg for mercy again. After all, even if that little shit was bluffing, they were almost out of the forest. They outnumbered him. The situation is terrible. But through his tears, he saw his chance. It was floating a few meters away. He could barely contain the smile that spread across his lips.
— Loosen your grip! I'm choking! — he wheezed as hard as he could.
He knew it would work. He met JoJo once in a store. He was actually a soft man. Not like his creepy uncle. The only problem with him was that he never allowed you to owe a yen. He found this type of customer particularly annoying. It wouldn't save them if he let go sometimes. Because of it, he had to go to other cashiers. The brat probably had plenty of money anyway. After all, he was constantly buying hair care lotions. All the sprays and gels must have been quite an expense. Hiroto always thought it made no sense. The customer looked strange. He was wasting money.
— Just no tricks! — the boy warned him.
Kameko reached out with his mind towards a butterfly flying alone. Fate favored him by giving him this opportunity.
— Wild Animal! — He recalled his stand. — Bye, losers! Higashikata, someone must have hit you over the head once because you're a gullible idiot with a crap haircut! — He felt like he was on cloud nine shouting it.
Although he knew that he would not avoid abandoning Morioh but it was better than death. He will start over, somewhere far away. He will fly towards the blue sky and that's all they will see.
To his surprise, however, nothing happened. He should feel connected to his animal. Meanwhile, he was still stuck in Crazy Diamond's iron grip.
The girl held out her hand. The insect calmly sat on it.
— I had a feeling you might want to do that. Did you really think I would let any animal stay around? — The swallowtail butterfly flapped its wings. — I separated that butterfly from the group and changed its species while you weren't looking. You cannot bond with it because it is not a living organism. — She snapped her fingers. — Jōsuke, tell him something.
She saw that he wanted this very much. The Joestar family never left an opponent without a word. She found it funny but she didn't question the habits.
They had to hurry. The venom was slowly taking its toll. Beads of sweat ran down the back of his neck. His legs were starting to tremble slightly.
— First of all, you disrespected my girlfriend. — He pointed an accusing finger at him. — Secondly, you insulted my hair. This is unforgivable!
Crazy Diamond with a joyful Dora dora dora plunged his fist into Hiroto's face. There were screams, protests and pleas for help. However, they were of no use. After damaging his hair, Higashikata became extremely irritable. Blood was shed. It looked like it wouldn't end with a few broken teeth and a terribly bruised cheek.
However, he was interrupted by a quiet but firm voice:
— Yare yare daze.
In front of him, wearing his favourite hat, stood Mr. Kūjō. As always, he handled the situation with stoic calm. He didn't look happy.
JoJo breathed a sigh of relief when he saw him. It's true that he has to explain why he and [Reader] are together, since classes have ended a long time ago. However, he will deal with this later. The snake deprived him of his strength. He was barely holding himself together. After all, he could leave everything in the hands of others. He pushed his opponent into a tree. His head was now inside the trunk and his back was sticking out. Immediately after that, his strength left him and he fell to the ground.
Okuyasu and Hirose were the last to arrive. They panicked when they saw their friend's condition. They offered to watch the bastard until the Speedwagon Foundation took him over. They had no doubt that the Star Platinum user would be better able to transport the patient to Budogaoka Hospital. They also called Kiki's owner.
[Reader] shuffled after the older man.
— Don't look at me like that. It's embarrassing — she muttered.
She still couldn't understand how he was so different from the boy he carried on his back. It was hard to read anything in his eyes. No emotions.
— Good job — he said quietly.
She smiled. You couldn't count on more from him.
— But will we still get the lecture? — she asked.
There was a slight chance that they would get away with it. She allowed herself to dream.
— Yare yare daze.
— So we're screwed. — Resigned, she left the forest.
She looked up. The sun was already setting on the horizon. Purple mixed with pink, orange and yellow. The colours painted a beautiful picture. The heat of the day slowly faded away. A light sea breeze blew invitingly. Tourists covered in sand were returning from the beach. They gave her curious glances but said nothing. But the neighbours picked her up faster than she would have liked to tend to her remaining wounds. She had to leave her boyfriend in the hands of her uncle. However, she had no doubt that they would soon be able to spend a quiet afternoon with their friends. She was going to get the ice cream on sale no matter what.
Still, it was a good day in a crazy, noisy, bizzare town.

Landmarks in Morioh:
No. 31 — Haunted Forest — Locals claim that dangerous animals live there. There is also a Tree Spirit roaming around there. Sometimes on hot summer afternoons you can hear his desperate screams and calls for help.

Hi. Can I get a pillarman and a deaf-mute reader?
(I like your Yandere pillarmen heads who keep the reader in their secret hideout and bring stuff for the sake of explanation)
One-Shots and Headcanons Masterlist
When you were first abducted by the pillar men, they took your quietness as a sign of defiance, or maybe you were too frightened by their presence, losing the ability to talk?
It was only polite to answer when asked a question, and disrespect was something they did not allow (especially Kars)
As your punishment, you were chained to a pole as your back was whipped
But when you didn’t let a single cry out, only gasps, Wamuu started suspecting if you even had the ability to speak in the first place
After a bit of researching, they found mutism might be the cause of your problem, so in order to communicate with you (as they were trying to obtain information from you about where exactly the Red Stone of Aja was hidden) they provided you with a small dry erase board and some markers
You explained to them that you were deaf-mute and mainly communicated with people via what you called a sigh language
Kars
Kars was disgusted by your weakness, making it his point to let you know
The humankind was even more useless than he originally thought
When he realised you had no knowledge of the Red Stone of Aja (or at least none that you made known) he decided for you to be a bargaining chip as you had no other use
He steered clear of you, after all you were not worthy of his presence
But then again, he did make a mistake by issuing a punishment for something you had no control over and for whatever reason, he wanted to make it up to you
He comforted himself that it was only fair and there was nothing more to it, no feelings attached
As quite the exquisite man who enjoyed luxury, he decided to gift you with your very own lavish room, silky clothing, and herbal bath oils
He also got you a personal maid (one of the vampires he acquired for his army) to tend to your every need
After all, in his eyes you were too weak to even take proper care of yourself
That is, only till he saw you fight
When Kars came to observe what caused such a commotion in his lair, he only saw piles upon piles of burning carcases left by his now deceased followers
Apparently, they got hungry and naturally went after the only human around, poor fools
You weren’t a part of Lisa Lisa’s team for nothing
This strangely earned you respect from the leader of the pillar men, instead of his wrath as that was what you expected
He was wrong, once again
You were admittedly far from weak, despite your limitations
Perhaps you would make a fine mate
After all, as a soon to be ultimate life form, Kars intended to rebuild his tribe and you might just be up for that task
Esidisi
Esidisi found entertainment in exploiting your weakness
He would sneak up on you and jump out of nowhere just to give you a good scare and maybe a heart attack or two
As he was the one to bring you to the pillarmen’s lair, he knew of your hamon wielding abilities
It was clear to him they were honed to perfecting by years and years of restless training
It was commendable, for such a meek looking creature to pack such a powerful punch
He purposedly picked fights with you, testing the limit of your abilities, noting that each time you two fought you adapted to his rhythm a bit more and soon, you were even able to deal damage
Nothing serious thought, he would not allow that as much as he would not allow himself to hurt you
After one of your many sparring sessions, you questioned his unwillingness to attack you, resorting only to defence, but you were met with no answer
Why was that indeed?
The burning king found himself questioning his own actions
Was it because you were so fragile, he was afraid of shattering you?
Perhaps spending so much time with a human made him softer, he thought
Venturing outside to test that theory, Esidisi easily killed Messina, one of the two men who trained Jojo and Caesar along with Lisa Lisa
There was no sign of remorse nor mercy, so the strategic genius deduced he only had a soft spot for you, why however he couldn’t tell
You were confused when, after a meeting with Kars (in order to persuade him to keep you even after obtaining what they came for) Esidisi insisted on you sharing his room with him, but as you were in the position of a prisoner you didn’t have much say in what you wanted and didn’t want to do
He would use this opportunity of you getting closer to him to figure out his own feelings and thoughts
When he accepts that he has feelings for you, get ready for a lot of teasing as he loves when you get frustrated with him, finding your pouting face adorable and precious
He’ll pinch your cheeks and tell you he was only joking, enveloping you in a big hug
Wamuu
He feels so much guilt over your punishment which you clearly did not deserve as you had no control over your inability to speak, he distanced himself from you at the start
He knew he had to make it up to you somehow, so he started secretly sneaking outside, grabbing whatever he thought might get you to forgive him for his wrongdoings
He didn’t however know much about trying to win someone’s favour as he was but a child when his tribe was wiped clear by his masters, not getting to know how to properly act in social situations
What do women want? Is it power? Money? Flowers? Clothes? Jewels? What is it?
He decided to seek help from human books, especially romantic novels and appropriated the ways the lead male characters acted towards their love interest
Tons of flowers, words of affirmation and compliments, help with whatever you wanted, companionship and much more is coming your way
This gentle giant will make you feel like a princess straight out of a fairy tale
He’ll spoil you rotten and then some more with his sweet words and actions
He soon finds he enjoys your company quite a bit, looking forward to coming back to you after each mission requiring him to leave your side
He’ll soon incorporate light physical sighs of affections, such as holding your hand, your shoulder, and around your waist
When you accept his advances and even start reciprocating them, he’ll be over the moon and go a bit further with hugs, kisses on the cheek or forehead, brushing your hair and such
He’ll go slowly, accepting that he put you in a difficult position since you are still their prisoner
If you ever come up to him on your own and start a little cuddle session, he might just die from happiness
Santana
This sign language you speak of sounds new, and he loves new things he can learn, so he’ll get to it as soon as possible
With his adaptive nature and high intelligence, he masters it in less than a month, eager to show you his progress and maybe get you to point out if he got it correctly
You’ll praise him and tell him how extremely sweet of a gesture it is, loving that you’ll be able to express yourself to him a bit more freely
As he’s not familiar with the concept of praise, he’ll be confused by the warm feeling in his chest
Was he ill? No, pillarmen couldn’t get ill, but then what was it?
Conducting a small experiment, he soon found he only felt this when in your presence specifically, did you have powers that made this happen?
Feels no shame, so he’ll outright ask you about this new sensation, making you flustered
It was as if he was indirectly confessing to you
As you were too embarrassed to explain, you showed him some books that might hold answers to his question and left him to his own devices
He’ll quickly become possessive as he’s more feral than the rest and will feel the need to protect you from any protentional danger since you’re such a fragile creature
He’ll go as far as to straight up growl at Esidisi when he tries to mess with you
He’ll make a nest for the two of you in his room and demand you stay with him 24/7 for “protection purposes”, though he just wants to spend every second in your warm presence
He’ll go out of his way to impress you, not only to show you he is a capable mate but also to get some more praise that he quickly becomes addicted to
If you want him to go putty in your arms, simply tell him how much of a good boy he is
