Imagine the next Last Of Us game takes elements from Saints Row The Third, Yakuza and Spec Ops The Line as it takes place in a futuristic Nevada, Montana, and Arizona where due to the low amount of infected resulted in a place where technology has advanced to the point they have nanotech in their blood stream that can prevent infection making the user immune cause the finest minds and richest went there. When a coup happens in Nevada, you play as the son of a politician as it’s up to you to save the state. Also when I mean Saints Row and Yakuza, it should have wacky and funny activities/side missions that satirizes American life. Bonus if Ellie lives there and she’s sort of the Johnny Gat of the team.

something that rly fascinates me about johnny’s name... his full name in korean is 갓지훈 which is literally like. a meme/nickname thing in south korea. because 갓 (gat) is like a phonetic spelling of how english speaking people say god. it doesn’t mean god in korean. it’s like 오마이갓 (o mai gat = oh my god) and 갓 is a single syllable, so it’s able to replace a person’s family name while making the whole thing put together sound like an actual name. for eg. say someone is so amazing and talented and handsome, basically the whole package, and you want to praise them with a nickname, you replace their family name with god, and then follow it with their given name, like this: 김성민 (kim sung-min) = 갓성민 (god sung-min)

I’m not korean myself and I haven’t ever studied or visited/lived in the country, so I can’t say any of this with certainty, but I did a little research and either gat is not a real korean name at all, or is very rare

and this is interesting to me because, while it’s most likely that volition were like “haha gat means gun AND it follows the one syllable rule for korean family names,” it also really fits in with the saints’ church/crosses/general “christianity” aesthetic. and is like. definitely applicable to johnny in sr4 and gat out of hell, since he literally seems superhuman
