It was really funny knowing everybody and me included said that the Reboot Saints looked like people the Original Saints would bully.

the funniest part was when people rushed to the defence of the new saints by saying that the og saints would embrace and protect them simply on the basis of them being saints. as if the og saints didn’t hate each other

the reboot was onto something in having low level inconsequential pawns of established gangs living together to make rent in some gentrified neighbourhood. like that’s something you would never get in the original series. cut the be your own boss bullshit and let us play the pawn again. also make the roommates fight

Hey, I just wanted to know about your perspective on Josh Birk and what’s his role within your au of SR3? I honestly love hearing about your thoughts, opinions and your au’s as a whole. I even kinda wanted to share a bit of my own thoughts/ideas about Josh Birk that slowly but surely working on in my SR3 rewrite.

Okay, I honestly planned on the changing dynamic of Josh Birk. He still be a celebrity and appears on his hit show “Night Blayde” however, I wanted his role to feel more authentic and important especially to reach some level of climax. So, I decided that Josh Birk was going to be the grandson to Philip Loren. Josh doesn’t know about his grandfather’s syndicate and just knows him to be a lethal business tycoon. I also planned on swapping out the Stag Initiative and bringing back the Masako (there will be a secret uprising during the end of SR2 & before the events of SR3 that contribute to the Masako rebuilding right under the saints and Eric Gryphon nose.) I kinda want Josh to be used similarly as he was, like a bargaining chip but I’m still figuring out what would both sides care about Josh. (I’m lowkey thinking Josh x Pierce! Don’t know if it would be canon or not.)

wah, thank you so much that honestly means a lot to me ;-; honestly josh never figures into my aus because i always forget he exists LMAO i’m so sorry he genuinely slips my mind every time.

honestly i love that idea! josh being a nepo baby makes a lot of sense. could it be that josh is kind of a local golden boy, and that securing his endorsement is vital to winning over the people of the city? (which admittedly is pretty close to canon). he could be treated with the same “local kid made it big” adoration that aisha gets. it could even be possible that he doesn’t know his uncle or the saints are bad, and he’s just utterly being used, despite any genuine feelings either side might have towards him. it’s a really brutal game of tug of war and also highlights how people in any sort of power can use it to abuse even beloved household names. (big fan of any gay pierce ship btw). also bringing back the masako makes so much more sense than stag omg. a rogue militant branch of the same company the saints belong to is a really interesting dynamic
