ok so the pkane situation is. Challenging lets just say because he's considered one of the Greatest American Players but i also hate him!

but in summary: attacked a 62 year old cab driver in 2009, basically harassed a bunch of women when he got insanely drunk in 2012, was accused of sexual assault in 2015 and though the case was dropped it was because of how tainted the investigation was, not because he was innocent and the organization backed him up the entire time even before charges were dropped, and also did blackface! on top of all of this, the whole kyle beach situation is a problem with the entire organization not just him but basically a player on the hawks was sexually abused by a coach, and while every player knew about it and he reported it to a bunch of the higher ups, the hawks didnt do anything until after they won the cup that year to "avoid bad publicity". pkane and the captain of the hawks, johnathan toews, literally defended the manager who refused to do anything about the case when kyle beach first came out with his story (toews also said he wished he could have done something about it. GIRL YOURE THE CAPTAIN WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN), claimed he didnt know about it despite many other players saying everyone knew about it. AAAAND the coach was allowed to a) continue celebrations etc and b) LITERALLY TRIED TO ASSAULT OTHER PEOPLE!!!

theres a lot more questionable shit that he did specifically when drunk or whatever too but frankly that entire organization is fucked and the fact that connor bedard is going to play for them is a tragedy. he deserves better than that.
