After watching very carefully part 2 of Bridgerton S3 I have a few things I would like to address:

1)Nicola Coughlan is indeed a member of the perfect breast community

2)My Creloise fever has officially passed

3)Benedict Bridgerton is my favorite bisexual

4)I am not certain what I want to see more: Francesca x John’s cousin or Eloise x John’s cousin

5)Cressida Cowper deserved better

6)Eloise, dear, I saw that hand holding moment and the smiles

8)Queen Charlotte references made me ball my eyes out.

9)I got my Peneloise back

10)Nicola Coughlan is rightfully a member of the prefect breast community

I think I missed something in Bridgerton because how are people thinking that the love story between John and Francesca is not as good as Daphne x Simon's or Anthony x Kate's storylines?

In TV, it's true, because the angst and the drama makes it more entertaining and fun to watch.

But in real life, I think people look for what John and Francesca have: a connection, a new found peace, knowing you have found someone you love and are willing to spend the rest of your life with them.

Who wants drama? Your futur spouse pretending to hate you, and not wanting to marry you and only at the last moment deciding they want to be with you? How is that better? Or more passionate?

Most people don't want Colin "I would never dream of courting Penelope Featherington " Bridgerton. They want John * I'll write you a music partition because you didn't like the original one* Kilmartin.

Anthony was literally going to marry Kate's sister and only didn't because Edwina stopped the wedding.... not him.

Why would Violet or anyone think this is better than what John and Francesca have???

Yes, it's "boring" to watch, but it's not boring to live. That's true romance. Not the drama.

They are the healthiest couple out of all the Bridgertons.

And no hate to the other couples, I do love Angst with a happy ending, I just don't get the contempt towards John x Francesca.

Personally (and until proven otherwise), i think Francesca was and is still in love with John. A lot of people pointed out her reaction to her kiss with John, but i think they forget that Francesca IS awkward. She don't react to things the same way others do. She is clearly neurodivergent, and some people don't like kissing for many reasons, also let's not forget she had to kiss him in front of her whole family, and it was her FIRST kiss. We live in an era where people don't talk about these things, and so her only information was probably from romance books. It might have not been what she was expecting. I'm gonna wait for next season where we see them interact alone, in a place where they're both confortable.

I'm also very excited for her storyline with Michaela 🤭

michaela and francesca have me ECSTATIC. the way francesca was immediately captivated by her little head tilt had me giggling and kicking my feet. sapphics in the scottish highlands becoming friends and being there for each other through life’s hardships??? i absolutely love francesca and john too i am obsessed with her storyline!!

I’m at a loss for words…

I didn’t have high hopes we’d be getting any wlw romance especially between Cressida and Eloise. When it comes to shipping non canon romances I’ve been burned before, more than I care to admit and still I can’t stop myself.

They did kind of confirm that two of the Bridgerton siblings are queer but honestly I couldn't care less about it. For once I actually enjoyed one of the straight pairings, I felt Francesca and John were a good match and her potentially ending up with a woman feels like a consolation prize, the character without a season as the main focus will fall for a woman after her husband dies, so what? The reveal of John’s cousin being a woman was incredibly anticlimactic in my opinion, but I do hope fans that did enjoy it will have lots to look forward to next season. I’m extremely disappointed in the second half of this season and I just can't watch when they give Eloise a husband and kids therefore will not continue watching the show but perhaps follow the story through social media!

I will hopefully find some other show with better queer representation that will inevitably get canceled after one season...

To the Bridgerton s3 haters that say that Colin and Penelope feel "forced":

What about them feels forced? 'Forced' implies that they don't feel 'natural' or 'right' or that it shouldn't have happened the way it did(or wouldn't have happened realistically as some of you seem to think). What about them is forced?!

Does it feel "forced" for a person to realize how much someone in their life truly means to them and them falling in love with them in the process? Does it feel "forced" to watch 2 people with friendship and history grow towards each? Are you that rotted from emotionally stunted assholes being worshipped in media that it feels forced to watch a man be an open book of emotions?

OR

Does it feel forced because you are not used to (or comfortable) seeing a plus-size woman be desired? Is it forced because you think it's not realistic for a conventionally attractive man to fall in love with and (intensely) desire a plus-size woman? Do "Francesca and John have more chemistry" because they feel more developed and romantic or because they have a conventionally attractive, skinny white woman at the center of it?

I think a lot of this "Penelope and Colin feel forced and have no chemistry" hate doesn't come from where people think it does. The fat phobia is SHOWING

Okay so I have only started watching Bridgerton in the last few weeks and I haven’t read the books but I have seen enough stuff come up on my TikTok to have a general idea of what is going to happen in a later season. Spoilers for season 3 part 2 and for future seasons as well obviously but the minister at Francesca and John’s wedding delivering the first half of that last bit to Fran but then turning to John to say “until your dying breath” was uncalled for!!!
