I sincerely wish John a lovely 73rd birthday, surrounded by his precious family 💖 I tried a more painterly style this time, dipping my toes into a royal AU for John's birthday. I used one of my favourite photos of him as reference (I'll ppst it down below) and set my imagination free for his outfit. I wish I had more time to polish it more and properly paint it, but I did this artwork during a very difficult moment, I wanted to challenge my art and life decided to challenge me back, I guess... but I still did my best and I hope you'll like it too 🥺🥰💜💕

I might've been drawing other stuff than Queen recently, but my love and admiration for John is still burning like a quiet but vivid flame. I'll always wish him the absolute best and I'll never stop being grateful to him for having shared his incredible talent and dedication with the world.

I often think about the fact that baby John said "my favourite colour is brown" and he didn't want to wear fancy clothes the first time he went on stage with Queen a, but soon thereafter he embraced the glam look and later he started to wear colorful shirts, the same kind Freddie loved, and then he went into his new age era and his clothes became more and more outlandish and at the end it was like pls, babygirl, you can't wear neon clothes all the time and he was the hell I can't
