Mcr gets cronenberged i think because they naturally leaned real hard into vampirism/zombies/horror elements/etc so cronenberg's emphasis on the body and the body as a weapon and site of transformation seems kind of perfect for them also you must fix your heart and all that (which i know is literally a quote from twin peaks but image the body horror potential of that statement being taken literally).
