What if Jay and Gloria from Modern family did have a daughter that was Lily's age (maybe older) before Joe?
What would your story be for her?

Joe's Graduation
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole family is going to fly back for graduation. One can literally feel the excitement and anticipation on the flight. Jay and Gloria are just excited to have the family together, especially for such a milestone in Joe's life.
The entire family is there to watch as Joe walks across the stage to get his diploma. In the crowd are Phil and Claire, Haley and Dylan, Alex and Arvin, Luke, Mitchell, Cam, Lily, and Ruxford—who is definitely there for a big family appearance.
After the ceremony, dinner is taken together. Manny tells stories from The Avengers set, while Gloria tells everyone about what Joe has achieved. There is much laughter, love, and the feeling of unity in that atmosphere.
As the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan grows and evolves further, they are very close, there to support each other through those critical moments in life. Through shared experiences and deep love, they remain bonded no matter where life might take them.

Baby plus Comments meets Horny Boyfriend
Tumblr media
Pairing: Luke Dunphy x Girlfriend!reader
Characters: Luke Dunphy, Girlfriend!reader, Manny Delgado, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, Jay Pritchett, Claire Dunphy, Phil Dunphy, Haley Dunphy, Alex Dunphy, Mitchell Pritchett, Cameron Tucker, Joe Pritchett
Warnings: Fluff, boys being boys, Manny and Luke being idiots, reader being a sweetheart, characters being potentially ooc, Luke gets jealous easily, Luke is a horny little shit, Phil is still the same nonchalant dad and we love him, mentions of Phil trying to do his magic
Word Count: 404
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alex exits the room, and their comments are idiotic per usual. You glance back at the two. "You're both idiots."
Manny nearly gasps, drawing his inner Gloria energy. "I'm offended you would put me in the same category as your boyfriend."
You nearly roll your eyes. "Did either of you notice Joe was in the car with us or outside the door messing with one of your plants?"
Manny and Luke turn to one another, the latter shrugs.
"No, right? That's why Alex was saying those things, not because she's sending mixed signals, it's because your little brother slash young uncle is adorable." You smile, holding your hand out for him. "Come on, baby Joe."
You turn back towards the two once you get the youngin in your arms. "Now, if you'll excuse me, someone needs to clean himself up before his mama comes up here and sees the dirt."
Your boyfriend pouts. "Why does he get your attention?"
You glance back at Luke, "get a baby and maybe you'll be cute."
He smirks, taking a step towards you. "Oh my- Luke no. I'm not going to have a baby with you."
You two turn and see everyone's attention on your conversation. "Oh, great."
"It's not like I made everyone look at us."
You narrow your eyes at him.
"Ay, what happened to Joe?" Gloria asks, seeing how dirty her son is.
"He decided to take a deep dive into one of the plants upstairs. So, I was going to see what I could clean up before determining if he needs a bath yet or not."
"That's so nice of you, thank you."
"Mr. Dunphy?"
"How many times have I told you to call me, Phil?"
"When I'm not mad at your son, we'll talk."
"But your never not mad at him."
You thin your lips, raise your brows, and tilt your head as if to say I told you so.
He sighs, looking up at his son. "Luke?"
The teen avoids making eye contact with anyone.
"He needs to go out and do something with himself."
"Ah, I got it. He needs to practice his magic."
An evil smirk dances across your lips. "Exactly. See you, baby."
"Wait- no." His shoulders slump as your figure disappears into the bathroom.
"Really, Luke? Here of all places?" Claire shakes her head.
He shrugs, "what can I say? She's hot."
Haley and Alex roll their eyes.

Propaganda Under Cut:
Gloria Pritchett (Mother of Manny Delgado + Joe Pritchett): Gloria raised Many on her own and has a strong relationship with him, and she is very supportive of his interests. She is always willing to stand up to anyone who harms or insults Manny. When she falls pregnant with her second son she is worried that her husband will not support her but says she will raise him on her own if necessary.
Sarah Jane Smith (Mother of Luke + Sky): Luke opened Sarah-Jane's lonely life to others. She cared deeply for him and supported him in discovering the strange world that he sprung alive into. He is the most important thing in her life. When he leaves or is taken from her she is absolutely devestated. When Sky is left in her care she is quick to see her as a child and not a weapon and to protect her from those who do not. She gives these two strange children a home and a life.

#9 Modern Family
Plot: A big family of parents, kids, grandkids, uncles and mixed up generations live their lives in modern Los Angeles. The soft alpha-male Jay is in his 60's and remarried to young hot Colombian Gloria and lives in a big house with her son Manny (and later on, also their mutual son Joe). His daughter Claire, a friend of order and housewife (at first), is married to excentric real estate agent Phil and they have three kids; the not so booksmart Haley, the extremely booksmart Alex and the clumsy Luke. Jay's son, neatfreak lawyer Mitchell lives with his partner (and later husband), the flamboyant football coach Cameron and their daughter; the snarky but smart Lily. Together they tackle the challenges of overbridgeing generational differences, growing up, moving out, dealing with losses and gains. But, they'll always have each other.
Years: 2009-2020
Seasons: 11
My story: Like many other series I started to watch this seriously when I got into Netflix in the mid 2010's. The broad variety of characters and their everyday challenges spoke to me and I loved watching them grow up and develop over the years.
Teachable moments: Family relationships might be the hardest ones we have to deal with, they're there, weither we like it or not. We can say goodbye, we can split up and create chosen families instead. But this series shows how differences can come together and strengthen each other, how a family that seems vastly different can be the most important support for each other.
Best character: Haley does an interesting journey through the seasons. From being just a stupid shallow high schooler and college dropout, she becomes succesfull in her professional life aswell as a loving mother of twins. I like how the writers made us see that theres more to her than meets the eye, and that there are different ways to make it in this world.
Best episode: "Disneyland" (S3E22). Who doesn't love a trip to Disneyland? The family is dealing with the challenges of being on the happiest, and most crowded place on earth. Supporting each other, with and without ulterior motives, and two girls gets new pairs of shoes.
Best quote: "Every time anyone accomplishes anything, they achieve it with the help of a thousand silent heroes." (Alex)
Fun fact: Sofía Vergara, who plays Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, was surprised to hear Ed O'Neill's voice the first time they met. When she grew up in Colombia in the 70's she used to watch dubbed versions of his hit show "Married with kids" and therefore had only seen him "speak in spanish".
If you like this you might also like: New Girl, Black-ish, Fresh of the boat and Fuller House.

Poppy: down.
Joe: George. What’s the opposite of big?
George: little.
Joe: and Rex. What’s the opposite of good?
Rex: Lily.
Lily: impressive. But when Luke taught me that. You were the opposite of good
Joe: WHAT!

Alex: and in my defence. When Haley taught me that. The opposite of good was Mrs Grossman.
Haley: and in my defence. If that old bat didn’t want me using finger paint as makeup then they shouldn’t have made the red look so pretty. Oh. And when Uncle Mitchell taught me that. The opposite of good was mom.
Mitchell: and in my defence. When your mother taught me that. The opposite of good was also mom.
Claire: and in my defence. When dad taught me that the opposite of good was the communists.
Jay: And in my defence. When my dad taught me that. The opposite of good was FDR.
Joe: good luck guys.

That 70s Show characters as Modern Family characters, in Chicago, Illinois, circa 1995.
Eric Forman as Phil Dunphy: A somewhat charismatic history teacher and father of three, Eric thinks he's way cooler than he actually is.
Donna Pinciotti-Forman as Claire Dunphy: A pragmatic, honest journalist and mother of three; Katherine "Kate" (9), Leah (5), and Alexander "Alex" (1).
Bob Pinciotti as Jay Pritchett: After landing a solid inheritance following the death of his well-off mother, Bob has moved up in the world. And has married Fez's youngest aunt, Carmen (born 1951). Carmen has a son from her first marriage, Miguel (10), and Bob and Carmen have a young son, Joseph "Joe" (3).
Midge Pinciotti as DeDe Pritchett #1: Bob's first ex wife, and Donna's mother. She's dumb but sweet. Donna is struggling to cope after her mother's sudden death.
Pam Burkhart as DeDe Pritchett #2: Bob's second ex wife. She went into a drunken rage at Bob and Carmen's wedding, also known as "The Incident." Her daughter Jackie and her husband Hyde are close to Eric and Donna, and their children, Becca (9) and James (7) are close to the Forman children.
Casey Kelso as Robbie Sullivan: Pam brings Donna's ex-boyfriend Casey to dinner, leaving Donna and Jackie horrified.
Michael Kelso as Ronnie LaFontaine: Eric and Donna's friend and obnoxious neighbor. He has two daughters with his sensible wife Brooke, Betsy (16) and Hannah (10).
Fez as Cam Tucker: Carmen's nephew. A melodramatic music teacher, who is bisexual and living with his partner Buddy, Fez's son (with Eric's sister Laurie) Adrian (10), and their adopted daughter Lily (1).
Buddy Morgan as Mitchell Pritchett: Fez's life partner. He's a grounded advocacy lawyer, and fights for minorities like him. Even if it's an uphill battle.
Red and Kitty Forman as Frank and Grace Dunphy: Eric's parents. They live in Florida, but visit as often as they can. Red is more of a Grace, though, and Kitty is more of a Frank.

I’m happy to hear so, when you said the MF , is it because some character reminds you of someone there? And if so who? Or because situations? And if so can you tell one?
It's mostly for the vibes, Balance will be a (hopefully) fun slice of life commedy but some one shots will also be more serious and emotional. It's also because, like Modern Family, you will see the characters grow up.
Also, I realized I imagine Alex’s personality exactly like Joe Pritchett in the later seasons. Also, Joe and Manny have a 14 years age gap and their dynamic is similar to how I imagine Alex with Kit and Anna who have similar age gaps.
Some situations will be similar towards the end of the collection that I won’t spoil, but other situations like university applications and Anna and Kit discussing what they want to do in their lives will be similar to the Dunphy kids telling their parents about their peojects (the blog for Haley, CalTech for Alex and the medical app for Luke).

South Alabama: 2023 68 Ventures Bowl Champions
Tumblr media
History in the making was the story tonight in Mobile, Alabama, as both teams were looking to etch another accomplishment into the record books. Still, South Alabama would be the ones to do so as they knocked off Eastern Michigan University, 59-10, to acquire the program's first-ever bowl game win.
It was the third consecutive bowl game appearance for the first time in program history for the Eagles as they were searching for back-to-back bowl game wins for the first time but will have to wait to do so.
After an early 3-0 start the Jaguars would add to their total after quarterback Desmond Trotter would find wide receiver Jeremiah Webb for a 49-yard reception to EMU’s three-yard line.
On the next play, a shuffle pass from Trotter would end up in the hands of wide receiver DJ Thomas-Jones to extend South Alabama’s lead, to 10-0.
On the Jaguars’ ensuing offensive possession, quarterback Gio Lopez connected with wide receiver Jamaal Pritchett for a South Alabama touchdown to go up, 17-0, with 3:30 left in the first quarter.
EMU linebacker Joe Sparacio would intercept Trotter to give the Eagles some momentum heading into the second quarter, but that was quickly dwindled after South Alabama running back Kentrel Bullock rushed for a 17-yard Jaguars touchdown to extend their lead, 24-3.
The Jaguars would continue to roll as Marquise Robinson intercepted EMU’s Cam’Ron McCoy, which led to another South Alabama touchdown to extend the lead, 31-3, with 8:07 left in the second quarter.
It wouldn’t stop there as Lopez would connect with Pritchett for another first-half touchdown for South Alabama to put the Jaguars up, 38-3, heading into halftime.
It was pure dominance in the first half by South Alabama as they totaled 417 yards of offense while EMU only compiled 27. The Jaguars also converted 19 first downs to the Eagles’ one.
The 38 points scored by South Alabama tied the 68 Ventures Bowl record for most points scored in the first half.
The second half wasn't much different than the first, as South Alabama outscored the Eagles 21-7 to win the 68 Ventures Bowl, 59-3.
The Jaguars would also set another record by scoring the most points since joining the FBS with 59 points.
Lopez would finish the game by completing 14 of his 19 passes for 192 yards and three passing touchdowns while adding 88 rushing yards and one touchdown. Pritchett would haul in eight catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
