the "aid" the US sent is 9 years expired food MREs that they can't cook because they don't have enough clean drinking water to make it edible. It's expired, by at least nine years. They stopped including the Tabasco sauces in MREs in 2015.

How are Gazans meant to make these? You need water to rehydrate the food. If they get food poisoning from eating nearly a decade old food, what do you think will happen to them? To the people who have been starving for months and are impoverished and malnourished? Who don't have the water and nutrients you need to heal yourself from sickness? And to top it all off, the food is Haram. They sent mostly pork and other haram meals. And halal MREs exist. They knew that most Gazans are Muslim and chose to not send the halal food. it's disgusting, it's horrid. The US and all of its leaders are evil and vile

Ok but secretary Jim must think Joe 2.0 is the most dedicated stand in in the world. Like at first when khun Ming told him to pretend to be his ex he told him to go fk himself but after accepting the job he put his whole heart and soul into it. He went out of his way to act like Joe 1.0, even going as far as to get the same love rival (red kpop idol) chasing him so Khun Ming can get extra enrichment by re-engaging in familiar cat fights. And he didn't stop there- You'd think after the first Joe was confirmed dead he'd hit a block but no!!! he stepped up his game and added fantasy elements to their role playing by pretending to be Joe 1.0's soul in another body! And now he's so dedicated to it he's ready to jump out of a moving car!! Secretary Jim thinks that's too much craziness but at least khun Ming is obviously having fun pretending he has a second chance (which the new joe vehemently shuts down. Method acting at its finest) and being pathetic. They're screaming about sex positions! They're blocking the road! Secretary Jim watches them from the window of the car and has to applaud Joe's professionalism and dedication to the bit. He obviously was worth that 5 million and house. Best purchase khun Ming has ever made.

The people unashamedly trying to take advantage of the thousands of innocent Palestinian people murdered in Israeli war crimes, twisting the knife in the back of Palestine for an opportunity to remind you that you still have to vote for Joe Biden, undoubtedly counting among the people with the most blood on their hands, have already made it clear they do not care about anyone but themselves, and have gone out of their way to prove it.

Somehow they've managed to sink even lower, and are genuinely, in all earnesty, justifying their continued support for Biden in the wake of him pledging his unconditional support of genocide, with the exact same fucking line they used almost 3 fucking years ago to pressure people into voting him into power in the first place. It was already obvious they had no intention of "Pushing Biden to the Left", that they didn't give a single shit about any of the people they were so ardently claiming to be protecting from Trump, and that they would go to the ends of the earth to justify anything and everything he could possibly do.

And now that he's chomping at the bit about aiding and abetting Israel in raining down hell and phosphorous and napalm on innocent people, now that thousands of people have lost their loved ones to such irreverent cruelty, they've decided it's time for an important reminder; Genocide doesn't change anything, and not only do you have to get out and vote for someone complicit in every single atrocity, every single casualty, you have to do it for the same pathetic excuse we made last time, "because we can push Biden to the "left"", even though there hasn't been a single shred of progress, or even any attempt to do so in the three years since we said this last time. You could say that participation in actual, ongoing genocide, is a catastrophic failure in that metric; that we might as well have been pulling this whole fucking time; and right this very moment is the most unbelievably selfish, entitled, petulant and self interested, and abhorrent, manipulative, cruel, spiteful, bitter and fucking disgusting time anyone could have possibly chosen to say this, when people are entirely cut off from their loved ones with no way to know if they are okay, it's important to remember that you're the bad person here due to your belief that supporting genocide in any capacity is an unforgivable crime. The real crime is NOT voting in support of genocide, when the other option is Literal Fascists !!

I'm not even fucking joking, this entire thing started because this piece of shit thought a Palestinian calling people out for supporting Biden was akin to "thinking the entirety of one side is bad", which due to a complex reasoning and nuanced understanding of "this conflict", he was able to realise that was far too simplistic, and now enlightened, knew that attacking enemy toddlers was wrong. So too did he share his nuanced and complex understanding with OP, since they were understanding things too simplistically. "American politics is not that simple either"

Does he clearly make the wrong choice? No question.

Is he trying to justify to himself what he knows on some level is wrong and saying some pretty stupid things in the process? Absolutely.

Is it jarring to see the calculated voice of reason fall apart like that? Yes. But that's probably the point.

I really want to see more exploration of what gets Adam to break that unflappable composure, so many great writing and acting opportunities there.

I doubt if Joe was imitated by being with 'THE taylor swift' they would have been together so long. We know nothing about their relationship or why they broke can we stop making weird assumptions (and bringing him up tbh).

It’s clear that he did have a bit of an issue with that though since when he was asked about creating music with her together—which is not a question entirely out of left field to ask since it was usually under the context of what happened during the pandemic and he got a Grammy for it—he chose to brush it off. There’s a difference between being private and respectful of their relationship and he did often get asked about it—and I completely understand why he wouldn’t want to talk about it—and being asked about that experience of creating which wouldn’t have to necessarily delve into the more intimate details of their relationship. It seems like he decided to straight up decline to answer any question about her and after being together for that long it seems a bit odd. Like wouldn’t you want to talk about finding a new creative avenue and what that experience was like?

When they first got together she was in a completely different place than where she is now; she felt that she needed time away from the public eye to heal and he was a shoulder for her to lean on during that time and that’s great; I’m glad she had someone to turn to during that really hard time! But it’s clear that something shifted toward the end of it and it wasn’t working as was stated by her reps to different publications after their split and what she’s chosen to share with “You’re Losing Me” and her speeches at Eras shows, particularly during the one for “betty.” She’s at an incredible spot in her career right now and is more comfortable being seen more publicly, and I can see why it might’ve caused a rift if she felt that she wanted to be more public and he didn’t. People change and grow apart and that’s normal, it doesn’t mean one person was at fault! She’s emphasized over the years how important people showing up for her is (and her showing up for them!) and we know he wasn’t doing that at the end and that was a big thing for her. I’m not saying that I’m omniscient and know every single moment in their relationship, I’m just saying that we know what was important for her based off of what she’s chosen to share and I’m not the only one saying that.

I’m not saying that Joe was an evil person who prevented her from being seen in public because he wasn’t and they had chosen to be more private during that time. I’m just saying that there’s a difference in the public support she received from him while they were together and the public support she’s receiving from Travis. I don’t think I’m out of line for being happy that she’s with someone who has been showing up for her in public and not afraid to talk about it and that it’s nice to see.

Honestly a lot of this debate seems like just being sad that she’s not with Joe or Matty or whoever your preferred guy is. I don’t even think it’s consciously done, just people are sad about their ship and that’s okay.

nah, i think some of it is anti-travis, some of it is just fans who think pearl-clutching is the right way to share concern, but mostly i think it's people who believe that she was going to swear off being super-public after her ~cancellation~ because her relationship with joe was mostly off-camera. which i think misses a lot of nuances about what was going on in 2016 (and the years leading up to it) but also neglects some of taylor's personality and what she wants out of being a public figure.
