Old AN: This is something new for me, now i know you're probably thinking "Lou you literally make social media au's all the time" and you would be right. once upon a time i was writing an alternate ALTERNATE version of events where alt peter and harry osborn started sleazily hooking up, too. (alt peter, very grotesquely, works for norman osborn. harry and peter, undoubtably, inevitably, would have crossed paths and made immense hot eye sex and then fucked on the desks.)

its really kind of fun because - alt peter is kind of the inverse image of 9319 peter parker proper - where 9319 peter proper is repressed and timid and loses all control and becomes rageful and sex-crazed with harry - alt peter is a rageful sex-crazed freak who becomes scared and timid when with harry.

This is totally random, but as far as the JONAS (LA) X BTR crossover (either one, really) goes...

Macy's favorite of the btr boys is carlos, because sports, and also bc he's just fun to hang out with. macy seems normal and put together at first, but she loves physical activity, as we know from s1, and carlos (platonically) matches her freak in the places nick doesn't

Stella's favorite is...and isn't james. she's basically that post that's like "you're in his dms. i'm pissing him off, i'm ruining his day" but in the most convoluted way possible, they also, platonically, match each other's freak. all in all, stella would rather spend time with the other girls, and she obviously adores joe, bc he understands her thoroughly, but james is like...the opposite. they understand each other and fucking hate it.

Katie and Frankie deserve the most insane sublot that builds up over time, until their scheme eventually collides with the main plotline and wreaks absolute havoc. they're ten years old and evil geniuses with famous brothers, you know the two of them meeting will bite everyone in the ass in the end.

I do think Nick and Logan would get along, but the thing is, logan is a science and math nerd and nick is a writing and music nerd. they're slightly different species of nerd. but I think nick would get along best with logan and kendall, bc even though they can go off the deep end sometimes, they're easier to handle than carlos and james.

I'm gonna ramble about Kevin and Lucy again bc I want to. it's so hard for me to imagine lucy with like, any other guy, just bc james is clearly gay, and the subplot with her and kendall was a total mess since he hadn't broken up with jo first... Anyway, they're both rockstars, and Kevin had a lot of character development in s2. he's kind, responsible, ambitious, and Lucy is headstrong, confident, and clever. I feel like they'd actually have a very normal relationship timeline compared to a lot of other ships/couples, simply bc by the time they're both in the narrative they're 18/19 and living on their own.

Joe...he would get along best with kendall, not just for the main character energy, but also bc I feel like they react similarly in a lot of situations, but joe is also a little more self-sufficient than kendall is, which isn't a bad thing, and is mostly due to living in la without his parents for a/multiple (depends on crossover fic) summer(s), whereas kendall's always had his mom and friends doing everything together.

Kevin's an interesting one, bc while s1 era kevin would definitely be best friends with carlos, by the time jonas la rolls around he's mellowed out. he's still a little dramatic sometimes, but post-HMA Kevin is very different bc of the responsibility for his brothers he gained over the summer. I feel like he'd sort of keep that older brother role he's grown into, so, besides his relationship with lucy, he's mostly helping clean up the trouble and not cause it. at the same time though, i think he'd get wrapped up in the katie and frankie subplot the most

Joe and Camille would also get along pretty well, mostly bc they have acting in common, with joe wanting advice from camille solely due to her years of experience. she's also easier to talk to than bigger names in the industry, so it's more of leaning on a friend instead of a mentor

Jo and Macy definitely spar every so often, mostly bc jo likes that there's another girl around that she can connect with about physical sports. it's not the same trying to spar with kendall, and now she has someone who's an even match against her.

Mona is one of the few people that aren't afraid to go toe to toe against griffin, given she doesn't work for him, and she's definitely screamed at him for Kelly's sake. gustavo is a little afraid of mona, and rightfully so. she's proud of that.

i do!!! currently i have a lot of comments to answer to, because i've been a little away from fandom and specifically from writing since last year, and haven't found it in myself to answer them. but i will!!!!! someday

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

me and you (we can't lose) [eddie X reader] definetely. canon compliant. that's all needed to understand lmao but some of the drabbles for my Forever Halloween Challenge are also very angsty and gory

basically all my other fics have happy endings, so that's a hard thing to answer lol i think it's relative

never did, thankfully!

i've only ever wrote one smut scene for going home and nothing else in english. in portuguese, i've had a series of three short smut fics that i never finished lol. it's not my thing and it's hard for me to do it because of the language barrier in english, i feel insecure about it. i just prefer writing pure fluff in general

never did, no, cause it's usually not something i like to read as well

i'll say that nothing has ever got me as much as Steddie before. i've always been a reader insert girlie, besides the first fics that i've ever read (Jemi - joe jonas X demi lovato) fics, i'm pretty sure Steddie was the only characters ship that i've read and got completely obsessed over

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

your sweater (up over your head) [stonathan]. this fic is very special to me and a personal challenge in many ways, and i'd love to finish it someday but i'm not sure i'll get back to writing ST, so it's a hard chance

16. What are your writing strengths?

i'd say dialogue! it flows very naturally to me

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

description. haaaate describing things, scenarios, clothes, faces, animals, whatever. i think i'm really mediocre if not entirely bad at it

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

if it's through someone's specific POV, i'm in favor of writing as the character understands it - so if they understand the language, keep it translated and just describe that it was in another language; but if they don't understand, then don't translate either. then you can either put it on a note or make the character who said it translate it. but also, if it's too big of a text, i think it can be annoying. so, mostly short phrases it's good

okay, thoughts on the latest happenings hmm, first off, I love Tony and Pocket's brother-sister dynamic, it's so funny and sweet. If it were me, I would've asked for a house and a retirement fund and a bunch more but then again, she is already working for Stark Industries, so I think she's already set lmao. And obviously, we already knew Tony didn't authorize the shit Joseph just pulled, but I'm still not buying the fact that she did it alone. I mean, she could've since she's well capable, but something is still very fishy about it.

which brings me to Steveioli (I really like the nickname now, it flows off the tongue so well), hmm, okay, I don't think he's that bad now, but still keeping one eye open because I still don't trust him. Which brings me to my first theory, I feel like this short interaction between him and Pocket is going to cause something. And Juniper will be the one pulling the strings because lol the manipulative sack of shit she is. Like, she's probably good with tech too, so what if she managed to get footage of the dance, or just Steve walking Pocket to her room and then show it to Bucky? (or maybe Steve would give it himself but i digress) And I fear that's going to trigger something ESPECIALLY knowing how Jocelyn is going to spin it. And yeah technically Bucky and Pocket aren't together albeit the blurred lines with this friendship, so she doesn't really owe him anything. But, I wished she could've told Bucky about the interaction with Steve first so he knows the truth of what happened before Jennifer manages to twist it. AGAIN THEORY. But I really do have a feeling Something is going to trigger Bucky to do something rash (not cheat, but I can't pinpoint as to what yet. Maybe some harsh words being spoken or him defending Jomar again). Either way, it's going to be related to Steve because he always seems to be a sensitive topic.

Also, to add, why was my danger alert flaring when Steve handed Pocket that lemonade? Is that me being paranoid? lol but then again, we don't really know what's going on with Pocket being sick so maybe I'm just reaching. But since I have an inkling that she was given something, I'd be wary of accepting drinks from anyone. ESPECIALLY the person who's still madly in love and probably has a secret mission to break a relationship for good. But hey, maybe that's just me.

And I'm so anxious as to what's going to happen on the mission. (help as i was typing this a theory came to mind) What if Bucky gets badly hurt because Jakari sabotages it just like she did with Rhodey? But instead of Bucky being mad at her, he's still going to defend her? Say something about it wasn't her fault blah blah blah and it's going to anger Pocket especially if badly is hurt. OR OR ON THE FLIP SIDE, what if Judith intentionally hurts herself and make it look like Bucky didn't defend her or somehow makes a spin that it was his fault? THEN he'd start taking care of her, not because of anything fishy or feeling wise, but because he feels GUILTY and feels like he HAS to which, goes back to what you said about the way he followed through with his actions. Idk idk I'm probably reaching and I could be so so wrong haha sorry i'm just a theory girly

But anyways, CONGRATS ON FINISHING THE FIC. that's a great achievement you should definitely celebrate! Though I do get this would bittersweet though. But hey, don't be sad that it's over, be glad it happened. Keep doing what you're doing! you're amazing, lots of love!

Jnon! Hearing from you never fails to make my day! NEVER. I love you and you're perfect. I love writing Tony and Pocket. They bring me so much joy with their banter. Right now, though, Pocket's got no need for a house. I leaned on it much more in earlier drafts, but Pocket's fucking loaded. Like, she may not be a billionaire, but she aint' hurtin', lol. Obviously, Tony didn't send Joe Jonas to Russia; he hates her almost as much as Pocket does at this point, but as for whether or not she got in on her own... well, we shall have to wait and see!

As for Steveioli, it does roll off the tongue so smoothly! There are definitely repercussions concerning his encounter with Pocket at the gala, which you'll start hearing about this afternoon! I want to say so much more, but EEP! I cannot not! I will say, the lemonade, like the Thai food, was safe. No worries there. It was more like Steve trying to make a point to Pocket that he knows her so well. Pathetically. Your theories as to what could happen on the mission with Bucky and Jabba the Hut are fantastic; I wish I had come up with any one of them, but I did not. :( And finally, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I had a moment yesterday where I typed the final sentence and was just like "shit; now what do I do with my life?" I'm pleased to say, I'm ten pages in to With Friends Like These already, so I think we'll be good, lol. And while I was so happy to finally be rid of The Famous Jett Jackson (wow-- that's a throwback; I'm old), I'm nowhere near done with Pocket, I think. I love her too much, lol. Yuletide 2024 Recs Post #1

There will probably be more later, but figured I should get started on this since I doubt I'll be done reading Yuletide fics before reveals. (I'll try to do Recs Post #2 just before reveals.)

A Tangled Web (Stray Gods, Gen, Grace-centric) - This was my gift! The author does a fantastic job with character voices and has interesting ideas about how Grace experiences Muse powers. Directions (Dark, Gen, Jonas-centric) - this absolutely will not work if you haven't watched Dark. But if you have, it feels like it fits as a possible in-canon document. It's really haunting Rooted in the flesh, stone, tree and flower (Dark is Rising - Susan Cooper, G, Bran/Will) - Wistful and bittersweet and a very believable future for Will The Wind in the Trees (Dark is Rising - Susan Cooper, Barney Drew & Will Stanton) - I love all the details in this that give it a real sense of space and time and also the wonderful and fitting conversation Will and Barney have. Good Choices (Feel Like Rain) (Scholomance - Naomi Novik, G, Aadhya-centric) - I loved how much this felt like Aadhya, as well as the glimpse of her life before the Scholomance. Ain't We Walking Down the Same Street Together on the Very Same Day? (You Can Call Me Al - Paul Simon, G, "Betty"/"Al") - Melancholy and real, but beautiful in a way. I really liked it. Fifty First Dates (xxxHolic (this is specifically for the movie), T, Doumeki/Watanuki) - So in character and absolutely adorable. Just wonderful. Wendwinter (Valdemar - Mercedes Lackey, G, Vanyel & Stefen) - I adore this. A bit bittersweet (at least, IMHO), but hopeful. (Also made me wonder things about Valdemar lore.) Everyone Winds Up at Kamikaze Pizza (Hard Core Logo and Wristcutters: A Love Story (this is a crossover), M, Joe/Billy) - I only knew Wristcutters and if that's you, too, you'll be a bit confused, but also this is 17k words and I couldn't stop reading it, which says a lot about how good it is.

Final Goodbyes - Joella fic opening scene

Words: 1,440

Senior year, Joe and Stella discussed their plans for the future. She was going to attend college in New York City to pursue a fashion degree. Joe had considered moving to New York to be closer to her, but his tune changed when the label Jonas released under asked him if he wanted to release a solo album. So he decided to move to Los Angeles long-term and work on his solo career since Jonas was taking a planned hiatus for Nick's senior year. Being that their plans left them on opposite sides of the country, they both ageed long distance wouldn't work. Not for them. So they broke up and agreed to stay friends.

The day had come. Kevin and Nick were going to accompany Joe on a roadtrip for his cross-country move and then fly back before the end of the summer. Nick did have one more year of high school after all. Kevin was still trying to figure out what he wanted to do, but was considering college. Joe had invited him to move to LA with him to help work on music, but Kevin decided to stay home because "mom and dad are going to need an extra pair of eyes on Frankie" who was close to entering his teens.

Standing outside the firehouse, Joe getting ready to go. All his boxes had been loaded into the car, but Stella had one final one. Joe looked at her and smiled.

"What's what?" He asked.

"Everything that belongs to you that I've stolen over the years," she told him, looking down at the contents of the box. Years worth of memories. Their memories. She'd also dropped in a few gifts.

"Stella-"

"It's okay. I'll just steal it all back. Maybe if I decide to move to LA after college." She tried her best not to cry, but Joe had been her best friend since they were kids. She'd even argue he was her soulmate. That's why she was trusting the universe that despite the distance and them wanting different things right now, they'd find their way back to each other inevitably. "This isn't a good bye. It's an I'll see you later. Right?"

"Right." He nodded, taking the box from her. Looking at the contents, there were some things that he'd long forgotten about. "Wait." Reaching in, he grabbed the blue Panda pencil. His blue Panda pencil that he'd let her borrow towards the end of their senior year. "This is yours."

"What? No. That's yours. I didn't even realize I still had it til yesterday."

"Yeah, well you're still in school so it might come in handy." He handed the pencil to her.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah." He smiled. "It's yours now."

"Thank you." She took it. There was something so final about him giving her his favorite pencil. As lame as that seemed to anyone else. After loading the box into the backseat - the only place that had room left - Joe said his final goodbyes. Sandy, already in tears, hugged him.

"You know if you need anything I am a phone call away. And we're always here if you change your mind and want to come home. And you're more than welcome to visit. You better come home for holidays. Right?" She asked.

"Yes, mom. I'll be okay." He assured her.

"My little boy is growing up, going off on his own." She grabbed his face and smiled. "If you ever ignore any of my calls I will be on the first flight. Do you understand me?"

"Loud and clear." He nodded, hugging her.

"I love you." She kissed his cheek. "Be good. Don't get into any trouble, or I'm sending Kevin and your father to bring you home."

"No trouble. Scouts honor." He saluted.

"We were never scouts." Kevin looked at Nick confused, getting an eye roll in response.

"Like your mother said, if you ignore a call, I cannot stop her from flying in unannounced." Tom told Joe, making him chuckle. "Good luck. Try not to trash the summer house before you find your own place. The last thing you want is to have me and Kevin showing up like she said. But why are we worried? You're going to do great." Tom held out his fist for a fist bump.

"Thanks, dad." Joe smiled, fistbumping his dad. While he was excited to be on his own, he was going to miss his parents. And his brothers. But at least he'd have Kevin and Nick for the summer. Frankie was occupied with his phone. "Guess I'm not important enough for a goodbye?"

"Hm?" Frankie looked up. "Oh. You're leaving? I didn't notice." He laughed. "Maybe I can visit for spring break?"

"We'll talk about it." Joe chuckled.

"Why do you have to move? You're going to leave me with those two-" He motioned to Nick and Kevin. "-to go to with my-" Frankie looked at Sandy. "-girl problems?" He lowered his voice, making Joe laugh. Nick looked almost offended.

"I'm only a text away."

"I guess." Frankie shrugged.

"You'll be okay. Nick's not completely helpless in that area."

"I can hear you." Nick replied.

"You'll be fine." Joe promised, playfully pushing him. "Try not to give mom and dad a hard time."

"No promises." Frankie laughed.

"I know we already discussed it, but I wanted to remind you-" Macy began.

"To send any photos we take on the roadtrip to you for the fan club site. Don't worry. I won't forget." Joe assured her. Jonas had agreed to share the roadtrip with the fans on the site. They had invited Macy to just join them on the roadtrip and she would have, but she was going to start college herself. "You will be the first person to know before I release anything."

"Really? I'll have exclusive solo Joe rights?" Despite becoming dear friends, she was still Jonas' number one fan.

"Something like that." He laughed. "Take care." He hugged her.

"You too! Keep us updated on everything LA."

"I will." He nodded, before turning to Stella. Saving her for last because he knew it was going to be the hardest goodbye. They'd spent the past two weeks together, but neither was ready. They'd been inseperable for as long as they could remember. Childhood best friends. High school sweethearts. "Not a goodbye. An I'll see you later." He repeated her words from earlier.

"Exactly." She smiled. Despite trying her hardest not to cry, tears welled in her eyes. Wrapping his arms around her tightly, he pulled her into a hug. She couldn't hold back anymore, not caring if her makeup would get ruined or stain his t-shirt. "I will-" His voice cracked, forcing him to clear his throat. "I'll come visit whenever I can." It was a promise meant to be broken.

"I know." If she could have it her way, she'd stay there in his arms, but she couldn't.

"We should get going." Nick announced, checking his watch. Kevin looked at him. "What? If we're gonna make it to-" Kevin shoved Nick into the car. If anyone deserved a long final goodbye, it was Joe and Stella. She was the first to pull back from the hug.

"You guys have to go."

"Yeah, but we'll talk everyday, right?" Joe took his glasses off to wipe them on his shirt.

"Every single day." She assured him, wiping a tear from his cheek with her thumb. The dread of getting into the car and leaving everything behind was killing him. He was almost regretting the decision, but he knew the move was going to be good for him.

"I love you." He told her. She smiled.

"I love you too." Sighing, she looked at him. "Have fun, but not too much fun."

"I'll try not to." He chuckled. "Can't wait to hear all about New York."

"Oh, you will hear everything about New York." She promised. "Nick's getting impatient." She nodded towards the car.

"I bet. I guess it's time."

"Maybe me and Macy will do our own roadtrip over the summer."

"I'd love that." He was just stalling at this point. He wanted to kiss her, but not in front of everyone. And he didn't know if that was allowed since they decided to be friends. "So I'll see you around, then."

"Yeah. You know where to find me." She replied. He nodded, taking a deep breath. He couldn't stall anymore. Walking to the car, he turned back one more time, one last look at the firehouse and the people he loved most.

For those of you who enjoyed my Joe Welcome Venture Bros fics, here's a little bonus scene, just for you, my loyal followers on Tumblr. Happy new year, Venturoos!

"A parade? You're lucky you're not in federal prison, old friend," said Jonas Venture's even, yet clearly iratated, voice.

Little Rusty had gotten out of bed for a glass of milk and heard the sound of grown-ups talking coming from his father's study, so on tippy toes, he crept down the hallway towards the half open door.

"I didn't literally mean a parade," drawled another man's voice.

Rusty recognized it as belonging to Joe Welcome, a space cowboy who had recently saved he and his father's lives when they were lost in space.

"And you're the lucky one. Lucky you and Rusty aren't still stuck on that god forsaken planet being menaced by those aliens, which you would be if not for me," the man continued.

"Don't threaten my son," Jonas said, darkly.

Rusty tilted his head and cupped a pale, freckled hand to his ear. Through the thin beam of light coming from the gap, he could see the shadows of both men moving around on a souvenir covered wall.

"I didn't... I wasn't..." Joe stammered, suddenly flustered and more than a little offended.

"Look," said Jonas, becoming his usual jovial self again, "I did all I could. I gave a glowing testimonial for you, but I only have so much sway with the government. My hands are tied, and quite frankly, I'm a little shocked you'd even come here asking me for such favors. I thought you had more dignity than that, man."

"I guess I just expected things to be the way they used to be," said Joe, solemnly.

"Things change," said Jonas.

Rusty could hear the squeek of his father's office chair and knew he had sat down behind his large, ornate desk.

"I see," said Joe. "Guess I should be on my way, then."

"Yes, i think you should, and close the door behind you, I have some work to go over here," said Jonas.

Rusty heard Joe Welcome approach the door suddenly and made to run, but there was no time.

The door swung open, and the young boy was illuminated by the light that spilled out of the room. He shielded his eyes but could just make out the silhouette of the cowboy his father had just chastised who now stood before him.

"Hey, lil' pardner," said Joe. "Ain't it past your bedtime?"

"Rusty? Is that you?" His father called out.

"Ye- yes, pop," said Rusty's timid voice.

"Come in here, son," said Jonas, then to Joe he said a curt, "So long, Joe."

"Adios, kid," was all Joe said as he passed by Rusty, who watched him dissappear down the darkened hallway before he entered his father's study himself.

"Now, what are you doing up at this hour?" His square jawed father asked, regarding him with beady, studying eyes.

"I- I had that dream again" Rusty said hesitantly. "About the alien."

"Oh, tiny wonder," his father said, condescendingly, "how many times do I have to tell you this? There's no such thing as aliens."

"But-," began Rusty, but his father reached forward in his chair and pulled the boy up onto his lap with firm hands before he could protest.

"Don't listen to that bad cowboy man," said Jonas, comfortingly.

"He saved us, though," said Rusty.

"Nooo, that was just an episode of your cartoon, son. Don't you remember?" Said Jonas.

Rusty looked into his father's eyes in confusion.

"You're mixing up what you see on television with what you see in your learning bed again," Jonas went on.

"O- Okay," said Rusty, very unsure.

"Trust me when I say that Joe Welcome is a bad man," said Jonas. "He's a liar, and there's nothing worse than a liar."
