The Wrestlingfact channel on YouTube recently posted Episode 21 of his Jobbers Squashed series and it's a doozy. Almost 40 minutes of hunky Indy wrestlers pinning, punishing, and pummeling other hunky Indy wrestlers. Really pretty gear in this one as well.

SPOILER ALERT: I highly recommend viewing this match in its entirety before reading this post.

So let's begin:  +1: For Troy... very few wrestlers have reached Troy's shredded abs level of perfection.  Now for all those  pretty guys out there who are squeamish or can't get into wrestling.  Troy has no such problem - the guy handles his face/jobber role like a man.

There are no words needed to explain the perfection that is Troy's body. 

Troy baiting his heel to get him to wrestle. 

+1: For Shane at the height of his heel prowess.  No wrestler was more experienced, more intimidating, more domineering, than Shane at the height of his heel perfection.  The guy has paid his dues as a jobber and is finally coming into his own at this point.  +A for Shane if the A stands for Asserting his will on a jobber.  

+1: The chemistry between a forcible heel and a tough as nails jobber selling this match to perfection.  What do you get when you combine a rugged, top notch heel with a pliable, take anything you can throw his way jobber - you get this masterpiece, that's what.  It's not so much a 'fight' as a testosterone fueled dance with each man knowing their roles to perfection.  

+1: Along those lines, these two pros truly know how to turn a muscled brawl into a narrative between men.  All those hard bodies are one thing but to take all that and add in the competition, the twists and turns, the adrenaline - all work to make this match legendary.  

Troy's thighs are strong enough to take down anyone ... but sometimes it's skill not strength that is king.

Troy is not going to just take it. 

+1: For this seamless Ab stretch to an over-the-knee backbreaker.  Shane absolutely is the man for pulling this off and his ability to unleash this on poor Troy is a triumph.  

Shane: What do you say? Huh?

Troy: [Groan]

Shane: Give it up! Give it up man! Troy: I ... I... 

+1: Shane knows how to humiliate his jobber.  Short of begging, Troy is made to show how useless those show muscles are against the shear tenacity of Shane.  

Something about making that cocky muscle hunk climb up your burly body to prove you're the man!

Or teaching him a lesson and making him arch his back in pain.

+1: For that Heel-turn.  Troy was simply never destined to win.  While Troy may be gifted by genetics one hundred times over, gay wrestling has a way of making things right in the world by turning those ripped golden muscles a bright shade of red, I think the exact color is punishment red to be exact.  

In a shock to the system, the unconquerable has been conquered. 

First the celebration ... More celebration with those sweaty shiny abs...

Then to add glistening muscly insult to jobber victory - Troy pours water on himself. 

Just one step too far.  You've poked the bear and will regret this Troy!

Yup celebration hangover. 

+1: For that Ending.  To further lay claim of the jobber, Shane pours more cold water on the jobber and makes the man submit over and over again until he's satisfied.  Soaking wet muscles glisten with water and Shane shows him off for all to see.  I mean what good is a victory if not to put that shiny, bronze, strong body on display like your own personal trophy.  Hell, making a Trophy jobber out of Troy is worth a bonus point there [+1].  

Soak your muscle boy until he's good and shiny

Then unleash all hell on his best assets.

A win isn't really a victory unless your opponent is so destroyed he regrets ever agreeing to the match.

So there you have it. It's really not an exaggeration when they say they don't make em like this anymore.  Where else can you see two wrestling titans in their respective levels of, overpower you heel-ness, and give you everything I got jobber-ness.  The biggest mistake of all time was when Troy seductively poured water on himself.  The man might as well shine a searchlight on that sculpted ripped body of his and announce he was ready for some heel punishment.  In the end, it's no surprise that Troy was destroyed, put on humiliating display, and claimed as Shane's personal trophy to add to his collection.

For the Lab Au, what are some of the other characters rented out for, like Pearl or Bdubs? Are some of the others just odd jobbers or is there something specific, like Tim being a designated punching bag?

Trigger warning: abuse? I guess? Does this count?

Most of the subjects are labeled as "general use" but some of them have specialties that the Watchers advertise.

For example, Cleo is considered "child-safe" due to her background as a teacher. Some subjects are advertised as "experts" in certain fields and they are rented as consultants (Scar and Bdubs are "experts in architecture and construction" while subjects like Etho and Doc are "experts in engineering and ethical hacking") experts can be expensive and often it's cheaper for someone to cut corners and rent from the Watchers.

But even if a subject is advertised as something, that doesn't guarantee that's what they'll be rented for. Etho might be *really good* at coding and hacking, but that doesn't help when he's instructed to clean someone's house.

A few renters have discovered it's useful to rent a subject to fight in underground fight circles. If they don't have to fight themselves, plus they win the money from the fight, it can be very profitable.

Sometimes this even leads to two subjects fighting each other. Joel and Pearl can't make eye contact after those nights. But what else can they do? If their renters complain to the Watchers then they'll get punished. Encouraged to "try harder" and "get better." So they pretend they don't recognize the person they've got pinned under them.

'Ladies Man' Larry Potenski (52) has been wrestling on the circuit for over 25 years. His glory days are behind him. He's not the draw he once was and he's down on his luck. These days he's making cash 'escorting' for private pro wrestling fans and starring in pro sex porn videos. He's been travelling round small towns in the south, taking part in local Indy shows where he's usually higher up the card as his name still has a bit of recognition. His matches are becoming more and more brutal, which he has to be, against these up and coming younger wrestlers, and he's noticed it's getting him some extra attention, particularly from a certain type of wrestling fan. He sees an opportunity, and at tonight's show, at a larger venue than the ones he's been wrestling at lately, he plans on making his Heel turn 'official'. The show is being televised on a state cable station.

He was up against a popular younger star Ethan Edwards (below, 23) who shows a lot of promise, and who the crowd go crazy for when he enters the hall on his walk to the ring.

'Perfect' thinks Larry.

For the next 45 minutes, poor Ethan is absolutely DESTROYED by Potenski. A non stop barrage of power bombs, elbow drops, forearm smashes, crushing headlocks and scissors. A long held Boston, where he looked like he was going to break in two, some punishment outside the ring, where he opened up his opponents forehead after repeatedly smashing it into the metal barriers surrounding the ring. A really nasty over the shoulder backbreaker, that went into an 5 minute over the knee backbreaker, and young Ethan is seeing stars. He's injured and truly out of his depth here.

Larry repeatedly pulls him up by the hair before the 3 count, as he's enjoying inflicting this punishment. The Boos and jeers from the crowd spurring him on even more.

He eventually finishes his now bloody and battered opponent off in a 10 minute camel. He claws at his victims face, pulls his hair, bites his ear, pounds on his hairy pecs then puts a vice like sleeper on. It's a KO.

Potenski is declared the winner. He stands with his foot on Ethans bloody face. His blood stained trunks strain to contain his enormous thick rock hard boner.

He soon drops to his knees, grabs Edwards by the hair and rubs his crotch forcefully against his blood soaked face. Before you know it, Larry's cock is in mouth. "that's it jobber boy....nice and slow...taste that heel dick".

As he's face fucking Ethan he notices his sexy ass and his thick hairy thighs. He wants some of that ass. He's earned it tonight. Then he spits on his hand and rubs it around Ethans asshole, and slowly starts sliding that huge horse dick in, covering Ethans mouth with his big hand to stifle the pained moaning and groaning of his jobber.

After 10 minutes of fucking on the ring floor, Larry gets up. His raging boner stands proud. Ethan lies with his head in his hands, now only wearing his pro boots, Larry then takes a handful of Ethans hair, drags him up from the floor, flips him round and delivers a stiff DDT. Up again by the hair from the floor, Larry now traps him in the ropes, lifts Ethans legs over his shoulders and puts his dick back in his (now less tight) ass. A semi conscious Ethan pathetically moans "no, no", but he has a boner now too. Larry pounds and pounds at his ass, going deeper and deeper with long hard thrusts and pulls out right before he cums, unleashing an ungodly thick load onto Ethans face. After a minute he puts his cock back in Ethans mouth, while he catches his breath, making sure he takes the remains of his load, and tastes his own jobber ass.

Afterwards the promoter requests a rematch. He's putting Potenski on top of the card from now on.

That Wrestling Moment: Proving you can fight - Michael Crowe v Devin (thundersarena.com)

Once in a while, a match will come along that turns your perception of gay wrestling on its head.  Up is down, strong is weak, jobber bait can even be an alpha hunk.  Today's wrestling moment is simply about proving yourself and being all you can be.

The Backstory

We begin with classic wrestling trash talk.  Devin enters spouting about how he wants to hurt everyone.  Veins bulging from his arms, he casually lays it out there that no wrestler, no man out there can stop him.  

Devin is ready to devour all the pretty boys out there.  

When in comes our pretty boy now ...The man is built like superman and puts other wrestlers to shame. 

Michael: Not only am I pretty ... I came here to fight too!  

The Action

Things go about how you would expect with Michael and Devin locking up.  Michael my be pretty but the guy is still a big strong dude, a fact that Devin seems to have misjudged based on his groans.  

Eventually though, our heel finds his footing and puts Michael away.  There isn't a lot of back and forth in the match - Devin simply finds the best way to put that long, lean, model-esque body in pain and bam, there you have it.  Fall one is over.  

Michael tapped out and looking vulnerable.

Round 2 doesn't go Michael's way either.  The lovable jock valiantly fights back only to be leveled with an atomic drop to the groin.  

Michael vows to reclaim some of that big man energy.  

Michael's impressive package is of course the target of attack.  

At this point things seem personal for Devin.  He doesn't just want to win, the big hulking brute wants to destroy the pretty boy.  It's a story as old as time really.  Handsome, strapping newcomer comes along and hopes to replace the old guard - well Devin is not having any of that.

Now at this point you'd be forgiven if you mistook this for a squash job.  Our helpless hunk, the personal trainer, the wrestling wannabe Michael really hasn't given us one reason to think otherwise.   All we've seen so far is a jobber destroyed at the jealous hands of a bitter heel.  

Looks like it's the end for our hero ... or is it?

Our Moment

Michael groans in pain as the vengeful heel stomps his gross foot on his chest.  Devin's smile gave away his satisfaction at destroying something so beautiful.  In Devin's mind, there was always someone prettier or better looking out there but today that handsome jock was getting owned and humiliated. 

Michael fights back or how he finally "gets" gay wrestling

Michael works the advantage for all it's worth and mounts his opponent.  

Our moment today is not when we see Michael pin or submit his opponent.  No, our moment is when he proves he's got what it takes to stay in the match.  

Devin attempts a cheap shot of his own.  Punching dangerously close to our man's package.  

Our moment is seeing our abused, humiliated, hero, limp to his feet and get ready for more beat downs.  

Michael dry humped into submission

But not before a sweaty Michael is tossed on Devin's shoulders and thoroughly emasculated.

Right about now you're thinking that this is the end.  Michael proved he can take the punishment and he's just about used up all his nine lives.  Afterall, it's gay wrestling cannon to see a young hot jobber dominated by a older, stronger heel.  

Michael summons the last of his strength, he overpowers Devin

So think again, if you bet against Michael Crowe's sweaty abs of steel, then you my friend are sure to lose. 

You see those muscles aren't just for show.  Those abs can take the punishment. 

Michael thinking - is that all you got? His abs can take all that and more!

This is Michael Crowe - 200lbs of muscle and I own this mat! 

So there you have it.  In his debut, Michael proves his pretty face can take a punch sure but those abs, that incredible body, completes the total package and can take anything gay wrestling throws his way.  Scratch what I said earlier about our moment being Michael taking his punishment - our real moment is when the man turns from pretty face into a gay wrestling action hero.

Idk unpopular opinion it is, but I'm really disappointed by how bland of a villain Phobos ended up being. The hype up in the comics is done really well, where even letting the reader learn about his very existence is a gradual process. His first in-person appearance felt exciting to me... but the more time I spent with him as a character, the more frustrated I'd become.

Thing is, he just... doesn't seem to have any depth as a villain, or generally as a character. There doesn't seem to be this much going on for him aside from being this Very Evil Person. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he needs to be in any way sympathetic (although him being essentially a victim of systemic gender discrimination is a great plot point that the narrative completely flushes down the drain in the line of "yay girls power, we've shown that nasty male his place" message), but if you want to have this evil af bad guy, being evil in itself is not enough to make them a compelling character.

You can make your villain charismatic - which Phobos isn't, because he acts like a noisy, entitled, perpetually pissed teenage brat at almost all times. Sure, he's pretty, but looks alone can carry you only this far. And it's especially frustrating when you see that he can be charismatic if the authors are trying. His first appearances are sort of cool in both arcs he shows up in. Heck, the "you're not like Yan Lin, you're like Nerissa" dialogue was one of the coldest things anyone said in the entire comics series (imo). So the wasted potential adds fuel to fire.

You can also make your villain entertaining - which again, Phobos isn't. His very identity is a magical tyrant prince and the narrative doesn't try hard to make it any less generic, although having these evil flower minions and evil flower powers was a nice step in that direction. His relationship with Elyon feels emotionally lacking compared to that between Elyon and Cedric. His relationship with Cedric is straight up frustrating, because it's a never ending circle of Cedric messing up, getting punished, begging for one last chance and being reluctantly granted it. Just let the narrative acknowledge that Phobos has hots for Cedric at this point, because otherwise it's incomprehensible to me how a guy who turns people into poisoned plants for the tiniest offences would be able to put so much trust in a jobber of this caliber. Alas, their potential romance is never canonically expanded on, and it's a shame, because this could actually make Phobos entertaining by showing a more human side of him. For completeness, let me also mention that he doesn't get any humor going on for him either.

Finally, you can make your villain straight up intimidating - when again, Phobos isn't. If I recall correctly, we don't really see him hurt any meaningful character permanently (or am I wrong?), although that scene with Elyon's clone gets messed up in hindsight, when we learn more about how astral drops work. He doesn't honestly feel like a great horror villain candidate either, and I also don't find him really relatable to real world evils (Thomas Vandom is great at this) - even his manipulation of Elyon feels barebone, with Cedric doing all the interesting work.

Oh, and don't get me started on the cartoon. He still doesn't have any personality outside of being a hissy asshat, but now he also has an evil looking Shadow the Hedgehog color palette and an evil looking castle. So you don't have any doubts that he's, you know, evil.

Everything Great About a Match: Tim World v Extreme Beatdown (Fightfinder.net)

SPOILER ALERT: I highly recommend viewing this match in its entirety before reading this post.

So let's begin:  +1: A point for the double team action.  I love low down, dirty, double teaming heels against a fit jobber and few jobbers are fitter than Tim World.  Even against half of Extreme beatdown, Tim would get the beat down so when he's up against the full might of Extreme beatdown, he's going to be in for a world of pain.  

+1: A point for all the OTK backbreakers.  I counted 4 over the knee backbreakers with each one getting progressively more brutal.  The first one was harsh, the second brutal, and that last one, well, that last double over the knee backbreaker is exactly what gay wrestling was made for.  

+1: Tim stretched out to his limits.  Tim World is the star of this match and while he's helped by two terrific heels however, this is his definitely his show.

+1: For all the low blows.  Tim certainly proves that he can take it all and survive the extreme beatdown.  I lost count of the times those guys brutally punished Tim.

+1: A point for that ending on the corner ring post.  An exhausted and helpless Tim is finally put out of wrestling misery in a truly humiliating fashion.  Not only is he laid out in the corner completely vulnerable for all the world to see, but that sexy body of his is put through the ringer until the extreme beatdown team finally breaks the jobber.

So there you have it. Tim World is a pro gay wrestling jobber and it shows.  He's got an amazing jobber build and knows how to take the full weight of heel punishment.  With Extreme beatdown we are talking a full 400+ pounds of heel punishment.
