Mr. Bates vs The Post Office (2024)

One of the greatest miscarriages of justice in British legal history where hundreds of innocent sub-postmasters and postmistresses were wrongly accused of theft, fraud and false accounting due to a defective IT system.

This show is all based on a true story and it will make your blood boil and make you very angry at the injustice. This is still ongoing and you will not believe how long it has taken for the innocent postmasters and postmistresses to get this level of coverage. A must watch. If you are not in Britain, it will still be worth watching if you read up a little bit on the 'Horizon Post Office Scandal'. It really is just so wrong what has happened.

12 things in F1 I consider to be my Roman Empires because I think about them all the time:

1. The whole brocedes story, every detail of it.

2. Toto & Lewis and Toto & Nico’s relationships that go on for so long and has become so special. Especially Toto & Lew right now because of the tense situation inside of the team.

3. Max’s daddy issues and how much I relate to him; and no one deserves this kind of things. Jos is not a good father, never been.

4. The fact that Max still has his terrible father around, but Mick doesn’t have his good dad near. He said he would give up everything just for that.

5. The whole Michael-Seb-Mick situation is very traumatic and tragic, makes me cry and wonder how it would have been if the ski accident hadn’t happened. The way Mick said, “What my dad was to Sebastian, he is for me.”

6. How everyone compares Mick to Michael.

7. Sebastian had had a dream to win a championship with Ferrari in honour of his hero and his friend Michael Schumacher, but he never did. He said he had failed.

8. How everyone easily forgets about Sebastian Vettel and never mentions him, never speaks about him as if he has never existed.

9. Alonso had his last win back in 2013 and that almost everyone he had raced against in the past and had been close to retired.

10. How everyone sexualises drivers, especially Charles Leclerc as if it is a normal thing to do.

11. People tend to forget that drivers are not robots and have feelings—they feel all the pressure and hate, and that’s actually hard to bear.

12. How many controversial things happen in F1 every day, but no one really cares: when someone talked bad about Lewis skin colour behind his back; this whole christian horner thing; the fact no one openly judges jos for what he did; the way girls being called wags and “Toto Wolff’s wife” but never Susie Stoddart Wolff, a former professional racing driver and a current managing director of F1 Academy.

FIRST OF ALL kimi doesn’t really vibe with most people in general, let alone anyone who’s trying to get with his little lumienkeli. kimi was lucky to raise a little girl similar to him, who listens when he places a no dating rule lasting until she’s 21 (as far as he knows anyways). despises the guys on the grid trying to get with her; he was one of them once so he thinks of them as animals, especially leclerc who’s known for his brow-raising dating life. also hates pierre but he already didn’t fw him bc he’s french. he is SLIGHTLY more easy going with women around his daughter so any grid guys with girlfriends might have an advantage. he finds that he wants the im-a-dog-and-ill-do-whatever-my-girl-says type for his daughter, but he dislikes unintelligence. he does not like anyone on the grid, but he best tolerates:

OK SO JENSON is a bit less intense than kimi, however he is much more publicly affectionate with his daughter which means that he has definitely gone on public rants about how no man is good wen enough for his baby. that being said, he is a decent judge of character so he doesn’t hate anyone on the grid. but he gets real serious when he notices people hitting on his baby. this is mostly bc he was def a whore when he was younger so he isn’t quick to trust guys who are living the same lifestyle he was. he kind of turns on dad-mode when he notices anyone eyeing her up. but alas, he raised his own mini-me, who attracts just about everyone, and who likes to flirt back. it takes warming up to, but he can see himself fine with most of the drivers. he most prefers people who are friendly and who didn’t act like him when he was in f1 like:

NANDO IS DEFINITELY one of those guys who thinks he’s a “cool dad” bc he’s a young father and his daughter is his best friend. but in reality he’s one of those intense, fiercely overprotective dads who have impossibly high expectations for his daughters partner. 100% the type to punch a mechanic for saying gross things about his princesa. he’ll be calm and in a good mood then someone on the grid (or any man ever) mentions his daughter and he’s like 😐. UNLESS! it’s carlos. carlos is the only one who meets his standards, sorry to literally everyone else. but even with carlos, he can be a little stern just to get his point across about not messing with his only child. he just feels the need to personally approve of his daughter’s partner bc he’s hyper-paranoid about someone hurting her. his list looks something like:

FUCK JOS VERSTAPPEN obviously, however this man is one crazy dad who we have to discuss. his love for his youngest daughter is wild and unpredictable, and it’s very different from the way he treats his other children. his baby has some extreme one-sided beef with him that he’s smart enough to know about, so he isn’t too forceful about bonding, it’s definitely more desperate since max found success in f1 and she sticks with her big brother now. her entire life, he’s never allowed her to date, and when he found out about her first secret bf, he got arrested for trying to kill the kid so. he has IMPOSSIBLY high standards for his daughters partner and definitely wants her to marry within the f1 community, but he hates losers and despises half the grid.

Michael Schumacher All-Time Race Record

As promised, next up we have THE definitive G.O.A.T of the 90s-10's. There may have been other WDC, Fast competitive drivers, but no one…NO ONE compared to the dominance that is Michael Schumacher or Iconic as him in his scarlet Ferrari. He dominated in a ton of different models of cars, regulations, rules, safety procedures and more. No one holds more WDC's then Michael as he has 7 with 5 of them being back to back from 2000-2004. He may not have as many overall race wins as Sir Lewis Hamilton, but there is no doubt that Michael is the iconic vision of a Formula One driver.

Throughout his 19-year career which went from 1991 to 2006 and 2010 to 2012; he racked in a total of 91 wins, 41 runner-up podiums, 22 third place podiums, 64 point finishes, 17 outside the points, and 65 DNFs. Racing with V10s, V8s, Hyrbrids, No HANS, with HANS, Points only going to only 6th, 8th, and 10th. There is not a single major era of formula one that he has not been apart of. Even the Ground effect era was something he did, just not this 2022+ version that we have now.

Noticeable points throughout his legacy:

DNF'd in Japan his first 3 years until 1994 (which was also his first WDC)

Was on pace in 1997 and 1999 to win another WDC but in 97 he was DSQ from the whole championship and in 1999 he broke his leg with a massive shunt at the British Grand Prix

Had more "out of the points finishes" from 2010-2012 then he did from 1991-2006 combined. aka. 'POINTS OR NOTHING'

Missed 7 races in 1997 from July to September, and Missed 3 races in 1994 due to a broken rib. STILL WON THE WDC in 94.

Dex did lines with his mom at sixteen.

He told Jo when they met at twenty. Angry, defiant. Like it was gonna scare her. Like her nails weren’t long on purpose. Like she wasn't rolling cigs at age four. They were budding reality stars and Jo said, You get paid to kill yourself on half pipes. I bully girls in a mansion for a living. Stroked her beige fingers through his copper mop top. Jo said, Little nose candy’s good with arm candy. They indulged in both together.

Six months in, Jo knew he was The One, was set to propose if he didn’t do it first. She was doing the heavy lifting, anyway, realizing they were soulmates. Recognizing marriage thrived on things besides blow, things besides booze and corner store food. If Chaos was a religion, she and Dex were devout followers. That’s why they did trash TV. Jo knew crazy was healthy. Pull no punches and find your same wildfire in a loved one’s eyes. But maybe, Jo thought, it could be more controlled. Cut back. The blank filled in with something else.

One night in Dex’s apartment the lino was clean and then covered in Jo’s stomach contents. Jo fell belly-down on the floor, arms by her head and nose so close to Four Loko/cake mush. Sweaty hair painful-tight in a high ponytail. Cherry-chocolate bile stank in her face. Past the pounding in her brain Dex snored in the other room. The normal snore, not the ���so trashed you might swallow your tongue’ one. Jo registered the flat baggie in her bra — she’d flushed her and Dex’s stash down the toilet. Dex was so stoked about their first anniversary that he hadn’t noticed its absence.

Jo smiled, tired, blissed. One day they might only be love junkies.

The 2nd Carl Kolchak tv movie, The Night Strangler, premiered on January 16, 1973. He and Tony had left Las Vegas and were now working in Seattle. This time, Kolchak was investigating a 144-year-old alchemist who was murdering women to stay alive. The movie had cameos by John Carradine (from numerous sci-fi b movies), Margaret Hamilton (the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz), Wally Cox (Underdog), and Al Lewis (Grandpa Munster from the Munsters). 13 Ghosts (1960)

Eccentric millionaire Dr. Plato Zorba bequeaths a large house to his impoverished nephew Cyrus. Along with his wife Hilda, teen daughter Medea and adolescent son, Buck, Cyrus is informed by lawyer Ben Rush that the house comes with ghosts that Dr. Zorba has collected from around the world. The will stipulates that the family must stay in the house and cannot sell it, or it will be turned over to the state. The family is shocked to find that the house is really haunted by 12 ghosts, as if 12 weren't enough, even though there is a chapter in Dr. Zorba's diary for a 13th....who will it be?!

This is another deliciously campy offering from William Castle, who also gave us House on Haunted Hill. Noted for his clever marketing gimmicks, Castle had audiences put on 3D glasses in order to see the ghosts through a process he called Illusion-O, although there is an edited version for non-theatrical use that does not require the glasses. Also of interest is that the spooky housekeeper Elaine is played by Margaret Hamilton who previously played the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz! Enjoy!
