“Before you start, I didn’t think it was that stupid.” He grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and started tossing it in the air like he didn't almost just get killed a half hour ago. "Maybe diving headfirst into a robot army wasn't my best idea, but it was either that or let the new guy take the hit and I don't know if you noticed, but the guy looks like he'd snap like a twig." He caught the apple. "But you don't have to lecture me. I already got one that was heavy on the 'what were you thinking' disappointed dad energy." He gestured in the general direction a very pissed off Tony had just walked, before he reached up and started poking at the bruise forming under his eye. "And I'm totally content pretending I didn't almost just get vaporized." // @bunchofjackassesx

Ok! So!
First of all… I just gotta say your art is amazing and you have got me shipping Jessie/Delia to the point where I genuinely have the momentum to write something up on AO3 for em lmao
HOWEVER -
I literally have not watched any Pokémon since back when I was a little girl. Do y’all have any specific episodes/shows that sort of capture Delia’s character? or is most of your work based on headcanons and whatnot? (:
I really wanna write but I’m horrified to make anything too ooc
YOOOOO PLEASEEE!
The biggest one to watch would definitely be the 3rd movie (Spell of the Unown)!
Other good Delia episodes are:
OS Ep.01- Pokemon I Choose You!
OS Ep.18- Beauty and the Beach
OS Ep.64- It's Mr. Mime Time
OS Ep.65- Showdown at the Poke-corral
AG Ep.133- The Right Place at the Right Mime
SM Ep.24- Alolan Open House
JN Ep.30- Betrayed, Bothered and Beleaguered (this is one of my favorite episodes of all time!!)
There's definitely more! Her Bulbapedia page gives a nice run down of all the episodes she's in. I feel like she's mostly in like the first and last episodes of every series to send Ash off or welcome him home. Worth a peek
Anyone can chime in in the replies if you think there's any other good episodes!

Your ishinomori tierlist made me curious- is there any legal or official way to watch the various Kikaider/etc shows?
Not many, but perhaps more than you might think!
Before the likes of Tokushoutsu came around and we were back in the dark days of very little official international releases, Generation Kikaida was a Hawaii-based subgroup licensed with JN Productions who released Kikaider, Kikaider 01, Inazuman and Kamen Rider V3 in 2001! The subs for all four of these shows is what's still the best for them to this day! Much later in 2014, they also subbed and released the Kikaider: Reboot movie on the same year it released in Japan. Kikaider and V3 were actually pretty big in Hawaii, hence why this all happened! Unfortunately though these are all out of print now, as you'd expect from the age; and were pretty damn expensive when you could get them. Prints still ran to 2023 though!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Insanely based as they are, Black and RX aren't the only Ishinomori Tokusatsu released by Discotek -- one of their first Toku releases was the obscure Message from Space: Galactic Wars! This is unfortunately now out of print, but apparently you can still watch it on Amazon Prime?
Tumblr media
Finally, while not directly an Ishinomori production; Media Blasters did a release a few years ago of the Hakaider movie on blu-ray and DVD! Their blu-ray is unfortunately sold out but the DVD is still available for 10 dollars!

Run BTS: 069 | BTS in Toronto part 1
Original Air Date: 30 APR 2019 Episode Length: 32:01 Total Parts: 3 YouTube English Subtitles: No Title Song: Idol
Tumblr media
Synopsis: The guys are in Toronto! we'll follow them to visit Niagara Falls and to their lodging for the night. they're going to be given suprise missions by the crew randomly throughout the day for points, lowest points at the end of the day earns a punishment. This part covers visiting Niagara Falls, lunch, and grocery shopping.
Production: This is such a great series of eps. The main production burden is actually on the edit once they have their pile of minigames to rely on. other than that, it's keeping an eye out for opportunities to game-ify what the guys are doing. Since BTS are professional travel entertainers, they know how to work with this kind of set up and it's more a partnership between them and the crew.
Endearment: Like I said above, the guys are pros at this. There was a time where I thought these episodes were their test to see if the guys could put out a successful travel show but this was aired 3 years AFTER Bon Voyage season 1. It's no surpise that they're so good at it but it's still so enjoyable to watch. Some of the minigames are poorly handled or misfairly administered and I dont even care.
Winner/Loser: see final part
Best Cheater: V, absolutely cheating on those cham cham cham games
Member Moments:
RM: RM yelling in Jimin's ear and immediately apologizing
JN: Jin's reaction to the bug in his face and no one else believing him at all
YG: Yoongi putting his hand out for a coin also completely makes the iconic broke millionaire meme
JH: Hobi zipping Jimin into his jacket with him
JM: Jimin being a complete memory squirrel
V: V's iconic Niagara bit
JK: JK's adorable pout at failing his remote-con mission.
Bonus Content: Fun fact, ep.070 was the first Run BTS episode i ever saw. 70 & 71 made such an impression on me as a teeny baby army. When I found out there was an episode before it?? I was in absolute heaven. All three of these episodes are so very near and dear to my heart. I realize I'm completely biased but I absolutely love these. I remember it was some random youtube upload that had the front and the end weirdly edited to not get blocked and for a while I thought all of Run would be following them around their tour stops. Anyway, the actual bonus clips here are great and so iconic as well
CQ Rank: 5
youtube
(CQ Eval Date: 05 JUN 2024)
Check out this post for my Masterlist of all episodes and descriptions of how I'm evaluating these.

the summoning choreography chart
lads the autism got me again. we're in npmd lockdown.
I finally managed to figure out which little 'dance' belongs to each Lord In Black in "The Summoning" bc its hard to tell and it was bugging me. here's a vid for reference.
wiggly - space invaders lookin shit probably meant to be emblematic of his mouth tentacles (0:58, 1:52)
nibbly - licks his lollipop - when others do this they mime licking their hand or any other prop they're holding (1:06, 1:15)
blinky - makes a little triangle w his fingers and looks through it (when pokey does this he looks through his mask) in a sweeping left to right motion (his left). (1:12, 4:53)
tinky - both arms out front and then both arms back cross-country skiing vibes (4:58)
pokey - alternates one arm up one arm down giving drama, michael jackson, disco vibes (1:01, 1:09, 1:19, 3:01)
they each start 'out of the depths of hell and back' doing their own dance and then switch around doing each others dances until 'you summon us once, you summon us twice'
when I compared it to the digital ticket version and I was able to determine the exact order of each Lord's choreography
so i made a chart for yall who wanna learn the summoning choreography under the cut.
i need to sleep
glossary of dance moves and the shorthand i used for them.
im not a choreographer. i am bad at describing how people move in space. so. I used timestamps from the reference video from before. please god do not follow my mediocre descriptions - watch the people in the video do it and copy them.
W - Wiggly (0:58, 1:52)
N - Nibbly (1:06, 1:15)
B - Blinky (1:12, 4:53)
T - Tinky (4:58)
P - Pokey (1:01, 1:09, 1:19, 3:01)
SS - shoulder shimmy (1:21, 4:05, 5:12) (the lords in black-ah, the lords in black-ah)
JN - jerky nod (1:25, 2:26, 5:06) (the devil has won it can't be undone)
KK - karate kid (wax on/wax off) (2:29)
KKT - karate kid tree edition - there’s one wax on for each side and then they do a thing in the middle that looks kinda like a tree. Idk how else to describe it thats why i add timestamps. (5:00)
WW - whatever we want (2:57)
TR - tra la la la (the skip they do on Stephanie has got a gun) (4:31) (it's hard to see in this version, i highly recommend checking out the digital ticket version if possible. they show this move first in the proshot bc they focus entirely on steph for the next line, but it does go second in order behind KK - you can see jon start to do KK at the transition into chunk 5 in the ref video, and at the end of the chunk he's bent forward bc he just got done doing the bowing part at the end of TR (you can see pokey doing that like 3 seconds earlier after nibbly does the skipping part)
i divided the song into chunks based on when the singing/dancing starts & stops.
Chunk 1 (0:58-1:31)
Chunk 2 (1:52-2:00)
Chunk 3 (2:26-2:32)
Chunk 4 (2:57-3:04)
(they don't dance on 'we don't give a shit about your phone' but it's b/w these two chunks in case you're interested)
Chunk 5 (4:31-4:37)
Chunk 6 (4:53-end)
The dance changes every two lines-ish, and each time they all change together. they all do the same thing for chunks 3-5 so I only included it on the first one (Pokey)
each lord in black does each move a lil differently so don't sweat if you can't do it the exact same way as the one (1) example I was able to find of x move in the proshot lol

The songs in Tae’s album are all interwoven. They tell one story in different chapters. If tns will claim that slow dancing is for that girl, then it will completely be taken out of context. Dont worry too much anon if Tae’s songs get to be connected with her. So far, Tae has not fed the rumor. If they are really dating, there will be more than Elle articles or Jn posting those photos with the same clothes. If they are really confirming their relationship through songs, clothes, and accessories, then Tae would’ve worn that Paris jacket by now or Jn would have posted anything of Tae’s already. Don’t get too distracted and intimidated by what tns are doing. That’s all they have- making theories and connections.
Agreed, about the whole being distracted/intimidation.
Regarding Tae's album I partially agree. I don't nexessarily think the songs themselves are telling a story than the MV are.
We know have a better understanding of the structure of the MV releases:
Schedule KST Time
8/28 Soundcloud Releases (1PM)
8/29 Photo 3 (12AM)
8/31 Dingo Story Channel (6PM)
9/01 New Tradition Official Video
9/02 Pixid (6PM) 9/06 Photo 4 (12AM)
9/08 Slow Dancing MV + Album Release (1PM) + Nature in the City Vid
9/09 NPOP
9/13 Blue MV + NPOP
Initially, the thought was that the last MV would be Slow Dancing, but this new schedule changes that idea, with the new likely order being:
Love Me Again (about depression)
Rainy Days (about covid/isolation)
Slow Dancing
Blue
For Us
This makes me think, for Tae the last song will be the most important based on the notion that there's a story, it's the resolution. For Us is what I'm most intrigued about.

Date formats
How do you write dates? I see people post things like this to make fun of the ‘American’ format (when you write it like January 15, 2025).
Tumblr media
I get it, I get it. We make fun of Americans because they use the imperial system for measuring distances and volume, which are both sort of dumb. I don’t think this is as bad, though.
When it comes to keeping track of dates in a big list or document, I always use the ISO 8601 content, which is for some reason being associated with some Asian countries and Iran here. It’s 2025-01-15, or sometimes you write the month with letters to remove any possible ambiguity (because ‘09-03’ could be September 3rd or March 9th), and because it just improves readability: 2025-JAN-15. There’s a common 2-letter short-form, which is used for date labels on food. The cream in my fridge just says ‘FE 02’.
The two-letter version has some unfortunate possible ambiguities if you don’t remember which letter is which. ‘JA’ has to be January, ‘FE’ has to be February, but then ‘MA’ is May, but that looks like it could also be March. March is ‘MR’. When I worked in retail, at least a few times every April, when we started getting products shipped in that had ‘MA’ as their best-by dates, customers would bring one to me thinking it was something that had expired in March, either to alert me or asking if I could get them something fresher. I had to clarify that March is ‘MR’. It’s something that slips people’s minds, because I point out that ‘MA’ is May and their reaction is always “oh yeah, duh, shit, nevermind, sorry”. This could’ve been avoided if May was ‘MY’, since ‘Y’ is its only unique letter. But the problem is that May is spelled Mai in French, and all our short-forms in Canada are bilingual (every 2-letter short-form works in both languages). I have seen some places suggest using ‘MY’, but ‘MA’ remains normal.
June looks like it would create ambiguity because if you make it ‘JU’ then it looks like it could be July, and if it were ‘JN’ then maybe that could be January. But in practice, we use ‘JN’ and I don’t think many people confuse them, perhaps because they’re far enough apart in the year.
Here’s a random date fact, by the way: the months July and August were named two thousand years ago after the Roman emperors Julius and Augustus. They later proposed changing more months to be named after emperors, but only those two were accepted. At some point the Roman government was going to change the name of September to name it after the current emperor Tiberius, but Tiberius himself vetoed it, so it remained September.
What was I talking about?
The reason the ISO date format is good is because it creates a natural sort. If you have thousands of pictures and you want them arranged by date and they were all saved as YYYY-MM-DD, then you can just arrange by name and everything will end up in chronological order, because you sort by year, then things with the same year are sorted by month, then things with the same month are sorted by day. Duh, right? If you save things as 11-28-2024, then all of your November 2022, November 2023, and November 2024 files end up together.
But in real speech, it makes sense that everybody gets used to saying the month first, and then put it first in writing (written speech emulates spoken word more than the other way around), because the month is the most meaningful and relevant information about when something happened in the vast majority of cases that we talk about when something is happening. Like, when did that article come out? In November. When did your wife get that job? Oh, back in February. When are you guys moving, when are you getting that bonus at work, when is your vacation, when are you going back to that college class, blah blah blah. There are so many practical things that just round off at the month because that’s specific enough. It gets us to a ~8% chunk of the year (1/12).
The year? That’s sometimes specific enough, especially for stuff a long time ago. When did you get that job? Oh, I was hired in 2015. I got this car in 2019. I remember when I got laid off in 2021. My husband and I got married in 2017. And sometimes you talk about days, obviously. I have an appointment on the 23rd, and the US president’s term doesn’t start til the 20th, and this year Easter is on April 20. These examples aren’t eye-opening. But my point is that I’m pretty sure the month being the most important time unit outweighs everything else, except when talking about things that are so short we don’t even bother giving them dates at all (e.g. “yesterday”, “this evening”, or things you refer to by days of the week, like “oh hey on Friday could you…”).
And of course, the date on its own is meaningless. Imagine if you ask when something happened and I say it was on the 13th, but I don’t remember of what month. What the fuck kind of answer is that? If you had to remove one thing from all the dates in your database, obviously it’d be day. Just round everything to the month. This form was filed in April 2022. That’s close enough. I don’t care what day. Something I noticed recently is that even people who ask my birthday are often satisfied if I just tell them the month. They really just want a vibe of what time of year it is.
But if you have engineer-brain and want to make the “US” solution (on that image) seem clean, maybe this will help: months go from 1–12. Days go from 1–31. Years go from… well, uh, a there’s a lot of possible years. So by saying MM-DD-YYYY, we’re going from the narrowest range to the widest. That’s a triangle, if you care enough to draw it as one. Bitches love triangles.

«La experiencia cristiana gira en torno a la caridad – a la agapé, según el término acuñado por el Nuevo Testamento o para designar la energía amorosa – y a su realización. Considera que pensar en Dios es actuar… ‘Sabemos que le hemos conocido si guardamos sus mandamientos’ (1 Jn 2, 3)».
