I would like to thank all of my loyal readers for sticking around through the first year of my blog post growing it to an amazing 150 monthly readers, I will forever be grateful for all of you and hope for another year of great discoveries and amazing growth.

Since it is the one-year anniversary, we'll start the second year of the blog with this great discovery that's been sent to me through the P.O. box, if you guys find anything or just want to send a gift, my P.O. box information will be found under the about me section. Today's gift has been sent from, John Snow, and it seems to be an original journal from a former member of the Belleview Boulevard Reading Club. If you've been here for a while you would recognize this name as he is the first, on record missing person from BBRD, Kota Blane. If you are new, Kota, was 20 when he went missing and was a part of the Mitledge branch of the club, a loyal member for about 9 years before his sudden disappearance. From the BBRC website, all members are given the current month's book and a journal to keep up with details of the book to bring up during their book club meetings. In past interviews with former members of the club, many also used them as diaries and for other personal uses, which seemed to be very common among the members.

All information pulled from the statements made by his family and people in his community is going to be summed up here before I post the journal pages here. All articles and pictures can be found in the Kota Blane - The Origin tab.

Kota Blane was 20 years old from Mitledge, Wisconsin, and a long-dedicated member of the Belleview Boulevard Reading Club. A fresh graduate from the Mitledge Community College with a degree in Bio-Engineering, statements from his mother seem to show that she didn't approve of his lack of interest in the community and his lack of participation in the church however, his dedication to the BBRC was something she found admirable as he was a member since 2000. Kota went missing on March 30th, 2009, just 18 days after his 20th birthday, his disappearance was ruled as him simply running off as he wasn't too fond of his community. Statements from the people of Mitledge explained that Kota, even as a kid didn't interact with or seemed to like the people of Mitledge as he rarely left the house and often walked with his head down. No statements were given from members of the Mitledge BBRC, which is not surprising as this is the same for all 35 missing members.

Diving into the package from our friend John, it comes with a letter and Kota's journal first I'm going to read the letter.

I am a long-time fan, it's been a pleasure seeing you and your blog grow, and with that happy one-year anniversary, I hope to keep reading for many more.

I came across the missing BBRC members' journals, don't ask, if I tell you I'm gonna have to kill ya...jk. But seriously don't ask. 

I hope that these books will help tie together the mystery that's this cult in disguise, I can't wait to see how the cookie crumbles when you figure it out. With your resources and my books we can definitely get to the bottom of this. Anyways hope to read my letter in your blog post.

Looking at the journal now, it's a yellow customized cover with gold accents and Kota's name in the left corner, it's pretty thick too, about the thickness of a hefty novel right. Opening it, it reads To the Belleview Boulevard Reader Kota Blane, Joined May 25th, 2000, Distributed April 1st, 2000. He was a member from a young age, I didn't even know there were members that young, when you go to the BBRC page to enroll you have to be at least 18, I wonder when they changed the age limit. I'm going to do some research and read through this a bit and with the next post, I'll have some answers, and with that more questions. Happy 1k to SBaFL! 💝 + Gift

It’s been a little over a year since I posted my first SpiderKook story, Tangled Thoughts, and now my SpideyKook universe has reached over 1k notes. Remembering the time I wrote TT brings back fond memories. I was and still am very invested in the au, so the writing for the fic came so easily. I was engulfed in the story and I just felt so happy writing it. No pressure. Just me and SpideyKook. I stayed up in the middle of the night finishing it because I couldn’t stop writing. I wish all my stories came that easily haha.

The amount of support I’ve been given is beyond my imagination. It’s only my second time hitting 1k, so I’m really honored. Even though Swinging By a Fine Line is not an actual fic, I still wanted to celebrate the milestone. I’m very grateful to everyone who has supported my mini-universe. I don’t think I’m one of those people who are good with their words, so I hope this gift to you all shows how thankful I am. I’ve had this idea for a 1k celebration for a while, so I wish you all enjoy! Thank you so much for reading SBaFL. 🥰✨

jatp fanworks appreciation - day 1 (writers)

motivation - so in true me fashion and my aversion to brevity, i've made three (3) posts (see also artists, gifs/edits) to celebrate the wonderful people in this fandom who have made my jatp tumblr experience what it is; a community of people who simply shout into the void about their love of a ghost band and their fearless female leader. i've enjoyed simply being on the sidelines admiring everyone's love for the show, but i thought this would be a good time to really show my appreciation for all these wonderful people, because if i've learned anything from this pandemic, it's that there is NEVER a wrong time to tell someone that they are simply ✨the best✨.

disclaimer: i don't interact with most of these people personally and i simply absorb their content from afar and scream about how wonderful they are in the tags.

This list kind of became a fic rec, so if you're looking for some wonderful fics to read (or reread), I've also included my favs from the author here as well.

Okay this is gonna get a little long so please bear with me. But I just wanted to preamble this by saying that the fanfiction written by the jatp fandom is what resparked my love for reading fiction after about 3-4 years of not reading for leisure (be an adult they said. it'll be fun they said.). So I'm really grateful for that? I don't interact with a lot of people, just because it makes me a little anxious, but I will constantly yell about your content in the tags as if I were on a set of bleachers with a megaphone.

I also know there are so many wonderful fic writers out there (on Tumblr and not on Tumblr) that make amazing pieces of work, and this is just a tiny peek into that, and is not at all conclusive.

Without further ado here are some writers who live rent free in my head, in alphabetical order, so feel free to just skip to your name to avoid my rambling:

@bluefirewrites -> your Merry Ex-Mas fic had me on the edge of my seat every single time you updated. I am so in love with how you wrote the characters into this and at how many words you churned out for this fic. This was filled with so much adventure, and it was really welcome during a time when the world wasn't allowed to travel. And I simply love all the other drabbles and fics you write, but I especially enjoy the hilarity of Ray Molina, Crime Scene Photographer and Matchmaker.

@captainkippen -> I'm pretty sure Love Drunk was one of the first fics I ever read in this fandom. Your stories and your writing feel so goddamn real and I find myself so immersed in the worlds that you've created. I have reread most of your jatp fics and I still manage to find myself stupidly grinning at my phone each time. Your stories flow so easily and are such perfect characterizations of the characters we know from the show, but elevated to fit into your verse. I cannot say enough how wonderful your writing is and how talented you are!! (also a slight nudge that I am still very much following along with The Key and the Crown and I hope you continue it!)

@catty-words -> Your???? Exhaustive??? Music??? Lists???? The amount of work and dedication and microanalyzing that you put into pulling out every detail from each scene is so admirable. You not only manage to find the details, but you also give us EVIDENCE via your intricately selected gifs. You could've just put the video of the performance, but no, you take your time to find that specific 1 second shot to emphasize your point. And your little fics that you sometimes throw out into the world? They're so beautiful, and so fun to read and I enjoy them so much! (I am STILL screaming about this band's a snack) Thank you for validating my yelling in the tags, and for feeding my hyperfixation to this show. (I'm sad these lists are ending soon, but it's about the journey ya know?)

@lydias--stiles -> I don't even know what to say here because I've yelled so much about your fics that I feel like there's really nothing else to yell. Your Road Trip AU was also one of the first ones I read in this fandom, and really just made me go absolutely feral. Pretty sure I absorbed the rest of your fics in an ungodly amount of time and I just simply think you are incredibly skilled and talented. Every time you post a new fic I always wonder what it's like to be in your head because the ideas you come up with are so unique and so well thought out. Thank you for all the art you create for this show, I will constantly be in awe of you. (Special shoutout to the 5+1 fic that became a 31 chapter monster)

@pearlcaddy -> This list would not be complete if I didn't mention you. First of all, thank you for suggesting this wonderful week, it has been so lovely to see so much love being spread around today. Secondly, I never thought I'd find myself reading a Buffy or a Wizarding World crossover fic, considering I know nothing about those two things. And yet I found myself on various nights after work at 3 in the morning just silently screaming and/or crying into my phone. Your writing is so insane. Your world building is so insane. Your banter/dialogue is insane. The way you capture the love between Julie/Luke in different universes is so perfect. Thank you for gifting us these beautiful pieces of art, and I hope you know that you have at least made one person (me) a very happy reader. I also really admire your dedication to "this will only be a oneshot", only to write like 4 other POVs for it. (Special shoutout to 100 Bad Days)

@ruzek-halstead -> Literally every single fic you have written lives rent free in my head. The way you've managed to build this universe of different Julies and Lukes, and each one still captures the essence of them is astounding. You've extended their characters beyond what we know from the show and I am just in awe of everything you write. Please know that dead of night is both triggering to me and yet the most hilarious thing I have read. (Special shoutout to the Fake Dating Christmas AU and of course the Cinderella Story AU)

@serendipitee -> Your stories and your writing are absolutely magical. I think Write It Down was one of the first multi-chapter fics that I followed super closely and whenever you updated, I would literally drop what I was doing and read it instantly. You have such a way of building the plot and the characters for all of your fics and drabbles, and making the reader just want more. Please know that I am so obsessed with Oh, She Waltzed With the Dead and I cannot wait to see where you take the story!

@sunsetcurbed -> I have no words for your writing. I am simply in awe every time I read something from you. The way you've got down Alex and Willie's voice to a tee is so crazy good. You write their characters and their stories with such grace and care, especially with how you approach the topic of mental health. Thank you for all the research you do and for also writing in your own experiences. I literally binged the Princes Diaries AU during work and lost a good half day to it, and I regret nothing because that fic left me in SHAMBLES. I secretly adore the way you say you're going to keep a fic short, and end up writing an insane amount of words for it. (I have not yet left my obligated long-ass comment on Chapter 4 of the College AU yet because I am still processing the fate/destiny concept.)

@tangledstarlight -> Gahh. Rosie. Please. This is going to sound a little repetitive considering I just screamed at you last night, but now I guess I will just have to publicly confess my adoration for you!!! Thank you for being my first online friend in a very long time, and for putting up with me yelling at you about everything (and also nothing at the same time). I can't believe all it took was one message about your Royals AU for you to post it, but I will gladly take that credit any day. You are so so so incredibly talented with your writing, and your ability to transport me to another world while I read your fics is unparalleled. I adore the way you can come up with a new story to write every day, and then proceed to throw it into your pot of other WIPs. I am so so so so lucky to have gotten to know you and am incredibly grateful that I now have someone to cry about everything with 🧡 (If you read anything from Rosie, you need to read her Seasons/Long Distance Juke "friendship" fic and the Reggie x Photography oneshot that made me bawl my eyes out.)

@thedeathdeelers -> No thoughts. Just soulmates. Jk jk, you know I love your Reggie x Ray x Carlos fics, and I will scream in the tags about it until the day I get more of those fics from you. This is lowkey a threat, but wrapped in kindness. You are so wonderful to see on my dash (albeit scary at times because of the sheer amount of headcanons and theories running through your head), but you radiate such positive energy that it's impossible to not want to jump in and scream about soulmates with you.

@sunsetsandcurves wrote a Willex Cruise Ship AU inspired by a Simple Plan song and it’s something I never knew I needed until I read it. 

@phantom-curve wrote a Juke fic based off of Coney Island and I would just like to say, yes, it did shatter me. (Here’s the fluff sequel that makes up for it though)

@unsaidjulie wrote the Juke dog fic of my dreams and I simply cannot express how much I want the Molina’s to have a dog now. 

@pawprinterfanfic managed to get me incredibly invested in a Star Wars AU even though I know absolutely nothing about Star Wars. I just know that I would die for two (2) space boys. 

@sanssssastark  your Later universe made me realize that I do very much want there to be more mature content for this fandom (and you constantly deliver).

@theobligatedklutz wrote a Tangled Willex AU that makes me screech every time there’s an update. Just read it.

@alexthedrummerboy your talent knows no bounds when it comes to your Social Media AU. Also she’s written ORIGINAL songs for Alex and Willie?!?!?! 

@gennified has this really wonderful modern take on pride and prejudice for Willex and I’m so obsessed with how much miscommunication there is.

@bananaleaves okay, I just found your Tumblr today, and I know you don’t know me in any capacity, but allow me to scream about THIS FIC RIGHT HERE. If anyone in this fandom is to read ANYTHING, it’s this fic. This was one of the best things I’ve read in a long time and absolutely wrecked me. Please just read this.

So hey hey I've risen from my death and life of university to commemorate the goddess of answering late and always apologizing for it even when I tell her not to. The person who ruined the sexiest gif of Yoongurt for eternity (....boop...)

So many many moons ago I've had this anon who always greated me with HEY YOU! (Already sounds much fun right?) And she was like so nice and one day she sent me a message and I was like oh my god she is so nice like wow my little baby heart felt warm (which is rare since i'm a cold hearted kinda girl) and we became so close friends that I actually cannot believe that she is even real. Like I could message her 3 am crying that I can't with my life and even though she makes me cry even more, but the good kind of cry where you feel like someone actually cares about you and you have an important role in their life. And DAMN, I mean we are so alike and yet so different it's the perfect mix. We are both very awkward and way too nice for our own good😂😂

And one day in our conversations she said she doesn't remember the day we became friends so she decided our friendaversary shall be Jan 9. So ever since than I have a notif in my calendar for ever Jan 9th that it's our day.

And I know we might not be the coolest people, and you might not even care like dude okay you love her tell her k bye. But I need to tell you that in my 18 years of living and existing I have had a lot of friends. Trust me because even though I'm socially awkward now and can't stand more than 3 people I wasn't like that and I seeked the social relationships so bad. And after I have been let down and hurt so many times I thought I'd be alone my entire life and won't have anyone to talk to. (I know i was young and exagerating but hey let it slide i'm a writer and a very emotinal kid) and then to have Vicky who is just so amazing and she makes me feel like I'm actually a decent human being despite my flows and to know that someone has got your back is a gift not many people realise they have it nor cherish it as much as I do. From having many friends I have come down to only a few people who I know will be part of my life and I want them to be part of it. And Vicky is one of them.

I always tell you this, but I am so grateful to have you you have no idea. I just get so excited when you write back because the weird conversations we have always make my day and make think about stuff I wouldn't think about (like shapes ganging up to protect the little corner piece I hurt when I went home😂) (((yes guys like literal geometrical shapes)))

You are so kind, so smart, so funny. You always have an open mind, you never judge people easily and you always try to understand people what's behind their reasoning. You are so selfless you always put others first than yourself, even when you are hurting from it (which is not cool) because you care about the people around you much. You always give great advice and comfort when I need it. You help me find my way out of the hole I dug myself into, even when I don't feel like there is a way out. You make me laugh so hard and I think about our jokes and fun times so often and they make me laugh as hard as they did the first time. You are seriously the most beautiful person I've ever met from the inside out.

I can't wait to meet you one day (hopefully soon) and buckle up and bring tissues because I promised you we're going to cry in a corner together😂😂 jk jk but I'm probably going to cry because I want to hug my long lost twin nugget so much

@freedomsacrificed - EVERYONE BACK OFF. This is one of the best humans I’ve known: my smol twin, born a month younger. Savvy, you’re endlessly supportive and enduring and mature. I love how I can talk to you all day and you won’t even get annoyed with me. And again I’m going to praise your observance bECAUSE GUYS THIS SHIT IS REAL. Savvy is so amazing at character study; she has a gift for it. She figures out dimensions of a character you would never have thought possible. I think good characters are the backbone of a good story, so you definitely have that as a given when you decide to get back to writing outside of RP!!

@dangerous-smoll - WANIKKKK. Wanik, I know I never said this to you before, but you’re like the big sister I never had. I mean, I have two big sisters, but I’ll fight anyone who tells me I’m closer to them than you or that they’re as understanding or supportive. Before debut, fans asked other member questions on twitter. A fan asked if Yoongi is the one with the most rights. Members replied, “Yes, Yoongi is like a father to us in our dorm”

Q: (2013) During Gayo Daejun, Suga was unable to attend because of sickness. Do you feel regretful?

SG: It’s my first time watching BTS’ performance in a ward, I saw Jimin fell down during his performance and I was so shocked I immediately changed the channel. I called Jimin right after the performance. JM: I got Yoongi hyung’s call right after the performance ended, I was really touched.  Actually at that time I only thought about finishing the stage, I didn’t even realize I hurt myself.

Seokjin: Although (Yoongi) always seems like he doesn’t care, and has a cold attitude towards us, but actually he is the person who always look after everyone at the back. As an example, during trainee times V was scolded by a staff right? Hoseok: During 2010′s Christmas night, it was my first time entering the dorm, I was really excited and also anxious. The first thing I saw is SUGA in only briefs! The harsh reality of that side of trainee (life) hit me hard. SUGA was also the first person to talk to me. Hoseok: There’s also one thing that left a great impression on me. It was the New year fried chicken~ During that time other trainees already went home, only I’m left in the dorm. SUGA called me and asked me if I’m okay, and I said “It’s very boring alone”. In a while he appeared in the dorm with a box of fried chicken! I was really touched that time, totally fell so hard! Namjoon: I’m really grateful towards SUGA hyung, sometimes looking at him makes me think I should really reflect on myself. He’s like a mirror for me. People would always be influenced to stop by themselves or people around them, but everytime I talked with SUGA hyung, I feel like I learned more about myself. [Haru Hana vol.22]

Seokjin: (SUGA) When guiding me he would always say, “Forget all your problems! Forget all the thoughts you bear in your heart!” Because he says like that, there was once I even forgot how to sing, Haha! Q: What do you think is Yoongi’s best charm?

RM: SUGA hyung is my music partner, he will notice details that I’ve missed. JIN: SUGA is very handy at fixing broken things. JH: SUGA hyung always jokes with a straight face, but sometimes his jokes aren’t even funny....(laughs) JM: SUGA hyung is very knowledgeable. Q: About Yoongi’s hidden charm?

RM: He always shows his unconcerned attitude, but secretly he’s really attentive. JH: When we’re feeling lost and panic, he’s always the big brother figure who gives us guidance. Everytime this happens, his “lazy” seems to be completely gone, and he gets very charismatic. JK: Because he doesn’t like trouble, so he hides his charms very nicely. But they way he hides them is too obvious~ It becomes another charm (lol) JM: He likes to joke, and he cares about physical appearance alot. But he is always taking care of everyone. JIN: When doing things he’s not the first guy to start, but will always be the first to finish, (Yoongi) is a very charismatic friend

Actually I’m always thinking what to give fans, so it feels good to prepare gifts for fans when it’s also my birthday, the thought of fans happy reaction after receiving them makes me excited. I’ve always been the receiving side from fans, so now I want to give back isn’t it~ Even though I make music for everyone to hear and do performances for everyone to see, but I want to express more of my gratitude towards fans. Q1: I want to try writing songs, but at the start I feel they are very cheesy, so I wrote abit and stopped, then continue writingㅠ Are there any good ways to overcome this situation SG: I also wrote alot of cheesy lyrics...hahaha but you need to accumulate experience like this, and you will be able to write lyrics that you won’t feel cheesy about!!

Q2: Any tips for beginners starting out on composing? SG: Actually music isn’t that hard~~ If you like it, you will have the desire of creating it, when the desire is alot, naturally you will see your improvement~~ Enjoy it~~

SG:  I’m already a guy with surprises~ Alot of people think I’m vocal when they see me, because I look like I have very high pitch voice and good at singing, but my voice is actually very low.
