With the infamous words, "Somehow, Palpatine returned," the end of the third Star Wars trilogy premiered on December 20, 2019. There had been plans to focus on Han in the first movie, Luke in the second, and Leia the third, but the death of Carrie Fisher changed those plans. Producers decided to inlcude her primarily through using unused footage. To help with the nastalgia for the original trilogy Billy Dee Williams returned as Lando Calrissian, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Ian McDiarmid as Emperor Palpatine, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mike Quinn and Kipsang Rotich as Nien Nunb, Warwick Davis as Wicket, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Denis Lawson as Wedge Antilles and R2-D2. Returning from the new trilogy were Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Domhall Gleeson (General Hux), Lupita Nyong'o (Maz Kanata), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Greg Grunberg (Snap Wexley), Amanda Lawrence (Comander D'Acy), Billy Lourd (Lt Connix) and BB8. There were a lot of voice cameos by Shirley Henderson (Babu Frik), J.J. Abrams (D-0) , James Earl Jones (Darth Vader), Matthew Wood (Cai Threnalli), Andy Serkis (Snoke), Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker), Olivia D'Ablo (Luminara Unduli), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), Jennifer Hale (Aayla Secura), Samuel L Jackson (Mace Windu), Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Frank Oz (Yoda), Angelique Perrin (Adi Gallia), Freddie Prinze Jr (Kanan Jarrus), and Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon Jinn). John Williams who composed the scores for all three of the original trilogies made a cameo appearance. There were also cameos by Richard E Grant, Keri Russel, Dominic Monaghan, Jeff Garlin, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ed Sheeran, Kevin Smith, and Karl Urban. ❗️ At the streaming event of the final episode of I Feel You Linger in the Air, the cast announced a second season of the show. Details are unknown.

❗️ The Taiwanese historical BL My Stand In is getting a Thai adaption. Up Poompat and Poom Phuripan have been confirmed as the leads, Porsche Tanathorn, Mek Jirakit and Inntouch Naphat have been confirmed as part of the cast as well, along with others. The series is currently in pre-production and has not disclosed any further information. 

❗️ LINE TV and TAICCA announce “Be Love, Go Love”, a project that will include 6 Taiwanese BLs/GLs, produced & realized by multiple cross-country BL producers, screenwriters and directors from shows like the HIStory franchise, To My Star, Bad Buddy, ATOTS, 2Gether, Semantic Error and more. The project will launch in the 2nd half of 2024.

❗️ MeenPing (Ai Lhong Nai) were announced as the leads for AllThis Entertainment's upcoming BL The Rebound. Further details are unknown.

❗️ After Manner of Death and Triage, another one of Sammon's novels will be adapted into a series titled Lost on the River. Further details are unknown. Regarding the adaption of her novel Euthanasia, Tor Thanapob and JJ Krissanapoom were announced as the leads. The show will be called Spare Me Your Mercy. The production stated the reason they delayed the filming for more than a year is that they wanted to make sure to get Tor and JJ as the leads.

❗️The Korean broadcasting network KBS announced the period BL Shadow Confession. This is the network's very first BL production, giving it a huge relevancy as KBS is Korea's leading television- and broadcasting system.

✰James himself is multilingual (Mandarin, English and, Korean) so if his S/I can speak more than one language he's immediately impressed, he knows how hard learning a new language is.

✰He brags about it all the time, like say him and the rest of Trainee A were all just sitting and suddenly James is like, "so did you know my partner speaks Spanish/Italian?" And the other members all groan in synch.

✰He tried to learn but, the stress he was under made him keep forgetting, so you'd take him out for ice cream to clear his head.

✰He did pick up in a few phrases and sentence, especially the cursing, he forced himself to learn what the curse words were so you couldn't use them against him lmfao.

✰Everytime you speak to him in Spanish/Italian he's like a child discovering candy, it legit powers him up like, after your done speaking he'll be hella loud and off the walls type energetic, like he usually has a lot of energy..but my gosh.

✰His phone is full of recordings of your speaking in the language, along with his giggles in the background.

✰He definitely shares the videos on social media, like atp your apart of Trainee A, half of the TA feed is you speaking Spanish/Italian

✰He melts if you romance him speaking in the language, he just loves the way the words roll off your tongue, he may not know what your saying but he loves it.

✰Legit will kiss you mid sentence when you speak in Spanish/Italian, like you could be so pissed off and suddenly he's cooing at how cute you are and kissing all over your face

✰Hes whipped no matter what language you speak in tbh.

✰If he can't sleep he'll call you and have you speak to him in the language, it calms him but also hypes him up. (he's very confusing)

Summary: Deji gets drunk and vents to JJ abt sum stuff

Warnings: Swearing, my first fic

Everyone knew Deji was a lightweight and a sweetheart when he was drunk, wanting nothing more than to hug and rant about all of his problems. The Sidemen found it adorable and also quite akward, seeing as Deji would say things about himself noone else was meant to hear. After a couple drinks, Deji would find the nearest person and hug them, dishing out random compliments for no reason at all. The Sidemen found it cute, especially when Deji would latch on to his older brother telling him he loves him like it's his last day on Earth.

Everyone also knew what happened on the night of December 25th, 2018. Deji and JJ's heated arguement. Although everything was sorted out and the two brothers reunited, Deji would always look back on that day, the videos, the diss tracks, the petty insults. He would always feel bad about the events that took place, even after apologizing to his brother for what happened.

3rd Pov:

Chatter filled the walls of the Airbnb the Sidemen had rented. It had two stories, 5 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, and a large living room which sat next to the kitchen. The Sidemen were throwing a party, and not just any party, it was their annual get-together, where the Sidemen and their closest friends hang out, chat, and get drunk.

Deji sat next to Chris as they watched a show, comepletely zoned out. They hadn't said a word to eachother, being too busy in their beer cans. The loud chatter of the guests set off a ringing in Deji's ears, bothering him. Deji didn't drink much. But when he did, he just couldn't keep his hands off of it. To him, it felt like nothing else existed, just Deji and his thoughts. And, as weird as it sounds, Deji was a lightweight. When he wasn't drinking, he was ranting on and on about his problems to just about anyone who would listen. He couldnt handle too much beer or too much of any alcohol really, which is why JJ always made sure to keep an eye on him when they were drinking.

"Oh, shit." Deji mumbled, peering into his empty can. Chris turned his head to look at the boy, comepletely out of it. The lightweight slid off of the couch, heading to the kitchen for another drink. His black slides, which he wore everywhere, slid across the wooden planks of the floor, not able to be heard over the loud music and chattering of everyone. Empty can in hand, Deji brushed past Simon and Ethan, talking and laughing about, on his way to the fridge. Simon and Ethan exchange worried looks before returning to their conversation.

Finally, the boy gets to the fridge, well, almost. His brother, JJ, is standing infront of it, talking to Vik and Lux. "Dej, what are you doing?" JJ asks his brother, as Vik and Lux's attention are now focused on Deji. The boy stands there, barely comprehending what's going on around him. He points to the fridge with his free hand. Ksi, Vik, and Lux all look at the empty can in his other hand. "Dej, go sit the fuck down, you're wasted out of your mind." The older brother reprimanded. Again, Deji just stands there in silence, his mind numb. It's like his brain isn't working.

Deji points to the fridge again.

"No Dej, I said no, now go sit down and stop drinking." JJ talked slowly so his brother could understand, and he did. "Ok." He spoke, still staring at JJ. And instead of turning around, he walked forward, wrapping his arms around his older brother, laying his head on his chest. Vik and Lux shared an 'awe' as JJ rubbed Deji's back with his free hand, rolling his eyes. "He's just such a weirdo, he always does this when he's drunk, i don't know." The brothers continued hugging, Deji showing no sigh of letting go. "I'm sorry, JJ." Deji muttered.

Ksi looks down at his brother who's eyes are still closed. "It's okay, just go sit down." JJ tries urging him so he can return to his conversation. "No, like i'm sorry." He slurs again, hugging JJ even tighter. Vik and Lux just laugh, unsure of what to do. Ksi lets out a deep breath, rolling his eyes. "Sorry for what, Dej?" He can't help but smile at the affection of his drunken brother. JJ rubs Deji's back with one hand, taking another sip of his beer with the other. "For everything." The boy sniffles, his head still on his brothers' chest.

JJ looks at Deji again, this time a little confused. "What's wrong, Deji?" JJ looked at Vik and Lux with a 'give me a moment' look and they did, walking away. Ksi hugged his brother tighter, beer still in his hand. "Everything." A tear rolls down Deji's face, staining his brother's navy blue shirt. JJ sighs, debating on whether he should stay and chat or be a good brother and tend to his. "Do you want to talk, Deji?" JJ asks, knowing his brother had something on his chest. "JJ, is Deji okay?" Simon yells over the loud music, who just shrugs. "I don't know, he's wasted out of his fucking mind. He might be tired." The older brother replied as they left the kitchen and headed upstairs.

JJ closed the door behind him as they both got in the bed. Deji put his head on JJ's chest, getting comfortable.

"What's up, Dej?"

Deji thought for a second.

"Uhm..."

He started. "I feel bad... for y'know, the diss track and everything." The drunken boy talked slowly, still not sober. "Okay and i forgive you, we've put that behind us, Dej." JJ responds, rubbing Deji's back again. "No, I know, it's just... I feel like a bad brother for doing you like that and turning mom and dad against you. You didn't deserve it." Deji sniffles, not bothering to hold his tears back. He was very emotional when he was drunk. "Awe Dej... it's okay, I told you we were both wrong in some parts and we both apologized." JJ comforted his brother, looking at him. He hated seeing his brother sad or mad, though it was a rare sight, seeing as Deji was always smiling or laughing.

"Yeah, but even after that I felt like a terrible brother compared to you, like you treat me so good, JJ, I don't deserve it." Deji finally opens up to JJ, exposing his vulnerable side. "What do you mean Dej, you do deserve it. And you're a great brother, you always randomly check up on me, you always make time for a shoot even when you're busy, you even come over just to hang out with me." JJ hugs Deji tighter. "JJ." The drunk boy breaks the silence, his tears soaking into his older brothers shirt. "Hm?" JJ responds. "I know I can talk to you and stuff, but lately you've been really busy with... everything, so i don't really have anyone to talk to about shit, you know?"

And for a second, JJ doesn't know how to respond. Has he been a bad brother to Deji? What kind of brother can't make time for his younger sibling? "Fuck... im sorry Deji, I know i've been busy, but I do try to make time for you, and you can always talk to me, no matter what. I don't ever want you feeling down or having bad thoughts. I promise i'll try to make more time for you from now on, okay?" The brothers felt a lot better, like a weight had been lifted off of them. "...ok." Deji replies.

"I love you, Dej."

"I love you too."

The snowflakes danced gracefully in the air, creating a winter wonderland outside our cozy home. As y/n sipped on a warm cup of cocoa, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. It was Christmas morning, and she was about to witness the joy and happiness that only this magical day could bring. Jensen Ackles her husband, stood by her side, his eyes filled with love and adoration. They had been through so much together, and this Christmas was a reminder of the beautiful life they had built. Their three children, JJ, Zeppelin, and Arrow, were still fast asleep, unaware of the surprises that awaited them. As the clock struck 7 a.m., the sound of little footsteps echoed through the hallway. The children burst into the living room, their eyes wide with wonder.

The room was adorned with a wonder. And twinkling lights, a majestic tree standing tall in the corner, and presents piled high beneath it. JJ, their eldest, with her golden curls and sparkling blue eyes, was the first to dive into the sea of gifts. Her laughter filled the room as she unwrapped each present, her excitement contagious. Zeppelin, their middle child, followed suit, his mischievous grin lighting up the room. And little Arrow, their youngest, clapped her tiny hands in delight, her eyes shining with innocence. As they watched their children's faces light up with joy, she couldn't help but steal glances at Jensen. His presence alone filled her heart with warmth and love. His strong arms wrapped around her, and she felt a sense of completeness that only he could bring.

Jensen and y/n had been through ups and downs, but their love had always prevailed. He was her rock, her partner in crime, and the love of her life. Together, they had created a family filled with laughter, love, and endless memories. As the day unfolded, they reveled in the simple pleasures of being together. They played board games, built snowmen in the backyard, and indulged in a feast fit for kings. Laughter echoed through the halls, and the love they shared enveloped them like a warm embrace. In the evening, as the children drifted off to sleep. Jensen and y/n found ourselves snuggled on the couch, the glow of the Christmas lights casting a soft, romantic ambiance. They exchanged heartfelt gifts, each one a testament to their love and devotion.

As the night drew to a close, y/n couldn't help but reflect on the day's events. It had been a Christmas filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. The smiles on their children's faces were etched in her mind, a reminder of the joy that family brings. As she lays in bed, Jensen's arms wrapped around her, she whispered a silent prayer of gratitude. Their love story had been woven into the fabric of this magical day, and she knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together.

International Firefighters’ Day

Firefighters put their lives on the line every day to save our lives, loved ones, homes, and even forests and cities, so give them the thanks they deserve.

The role of a firefighter in today’s society–be it urban, rural, natural environment, volunteer, career, industrial, defense force, aviation, motorsport, or other is one of dedication, commitment, and sacrifice–no matter what country we reside and work in. Nobody could have put what it means to be a firefighter as well as this courageous woman did. Most of us would risk our lives for those we love—family members, friends, pets. But could you imagine risking severe injury or even death for someone whom you don’t know at all? Could you imagine going into a burning building to rescue a stranger, knowing you may not come out?

Could you imagine climbing a tree in a burning forest just to save a defenseless animal too frightened to come down on its own? These are things firefighters do every day, and though we likely see them as acts of pure heroism, for firefighters, they’re just part of the job. Few people deserve to be celebrated as much as these heroic men and women do, so let’s all make sure to celebrate Firefighters Day in their honor!

History of International Firefighters’ Day

The first organized professionals whose job it was to combat structural fires lived in Ancient Egypt–however, at the time, firefighters worked for private companies that provided their services only to those who could afford them. Later, in Ancient Rome, Ceasar Augustus revolutionized firefighting by calling for the creation of a fire guard, called the Vigiles, that was trained, paid, and equipped by the state.

Firefighters Day was created in 1999 after 5 firefighters died tragically during a wildfire in Australia when the direction of the wind changed suddenly and engulfed them in flames. It is celebrated on May 4th because that is Saint Florian’s day, and Saint Florian, who was said to be one of the first commanding firefighters of an actual Roman battalion and saved many lives, is the patron saint of firefighters.

The incident that led to the creation of this date happened on the 2nd of December, 1998, in Linton Community, Australia. The event was so tragic that it shook the entire world. Linton is a populated area in Victoria, Australia, and firefighters at the time were tackling a massive bush fire. They called for mutual aid. This resulted in the Geelong West Fre Brigade coming to the scene. They did not know the tragedy and despair that was awaiting them.

Matthew Armstrong, Jason Thomas, Stuart Davidson, Chris Evans, and Garry Vredeveldt all loaded into a truck. They were sent to help extinguish the flames as part of a strike team. However, as they made their way into the hot zone, the wind switched direction suddenly, which resulted in the truck being engulfed in flames, with all five members losing their lives. It was an extremely tragic event, and it resulted in the birth of a day to celebrate firefighters and everything they do for us. After all many other firefighters have lost their lives in the field.

The symbol of International Firefighters’ Day

The International Firefighters’ Day has a significant symbol associated with it, and this is the blue and red ribbon. The ribbon is cut precisely to one cm in width and five cm in length, with the two different colors join at the top. Blue and red were selected by JJ Edmondson because of the symbolization associated with the colors. Blue is designed to represent water whereas the red represents fire. Not only this, but the two colors are also recognized around the world as a symbol for the emergency services. Therefore, it was decided that there was no better color choice!

The ribbon is typically worn on the fold of the fabric on a shirt, i.e. the lapel. However, it is not restricted to a certain spot. You can wear it wherever you feel appropriate, be it a different part of your shirt or your cap, for example. A lot of people also place them from their car mirrors or windows, as well as the trees in their garden. No matter whether you decide to place these ribbons, they represent a simple yet effective way of showing your support for firefighters all around the world.

How to celebrate International Firefighters’ Day

There are many great ways to celebrate firefighters on this day. Most of all, this day is about showing our appreciation for their service, risks, and sacrifice, so find a way to make sure your local firefighters know how much you value them! As always, it’s the thought that counts and small gestures go a long way, so even bringing a cake down to the fire hall would be a nice thing to do. You could also consider donating money to one of the many firefighter charities out there, some of which help firefighters injured in the line of duty get the medical treatment they need and return to health.

Other firefighter charities help retired firefighters live comfortable lives after years of risks they took for others. You can also raise awareness about the dangers firefighters bravely face every day by wearing a red and blue ribbon—the colors of water and fire, respectively. There are also a lot of different craft projects that you can enjoy on Firefighters Day that are based on the symbol of the day. Wearing a ribbon, baking a cake or donating a few dollars to a charity may not seem like particularly impressive gestures to you, but they will likely mean the world to those who work tirelessly for their communities.

You could also use this time to educate yourself about some of the heroic acts of firefighters, whether in your area or around the world. All you need to do is a quick search on the Internet and you will be able to read about some amazing heroic firefighter stories. This includes heroes who have risked their lives to save newborn babies from burning buildings, as well as the firefighters who have been involved in high-profile incidents that have happened around the world, with the tragic Grenfell Tower fire and the Australian bush fires being two of the most recent tragedies. Pay tribute to the amazing firefighters as well as those who have tragically lost their lives.

The boyfriend visited last weekend. We're a long-distance relationship (kind of?), so we often visit each other's cities when we have the time.

It's usually uneventful when we visit each other - we mostly just take the time to relax and do things together that we can't do when apart: talk more, have a few drinks, and cook homemade meals.

This weekend, however, turned out to be the most unexpected and (very) eventful visit so far!

The day he arrived, I was taking a nap. I woke up to back rubs! Being the touch-deprived person I am today (I think, in a way, all of us are lol), it's my favorite way to wake up now. We talked for a few hours as I prepped for the weekend. We decided to go out and grab a late lunch over at a restaurant I call "Commune" (but its actual name is Breakfast Community or something like that haha) and shopped for some chicken wings ingredients! Went home, marinated the wings, then took yet ANOTHER nap. We woke up, then started on the wings! 10/10 the wings were SO GOOD; we had garlic parmesan, spicy wings, and salt&pepper wings with ranch!

The next day, we woke up feeling kind of annoyed because of the power outage. It lasted ALL DAY. We then decided to go to the thrift store to look for clothes for our December trip (we're going to the beach and go surfing!). Stopped for coffee on the way back, and waited for the electricity at home to come back. When it did, we IMMEDIATELY showered because it was hot af in and outside of the house. Spent some alone time as well to meditate and relax, because the heat was really getting to me. We bought beers later that evening and got semi-drunk until 3am. We fell asleep crosswise on the bed, not even 10 minutes after laying down. We had to wake up the next day early...

Because we're going to the firing range! Woke up at 8:00AM for the 9:30 friendly-competition shoot my boyfriend was invited to. I was only there to take videos and document! We looked for this one small canteen that served THE BEST mami in the area. I was hungover and hungry, so the wait was worth it. The competition started, and JJ had a really good aim the whole time! We went home, and I edited the videos (turned them into reels) for him to post. He rarely posts content online, so I'm happy I get to make things for him to share. We went home and fell asleep at around 10:00PM because it was such a loooong day of being out in the sun and being sweaty.

Finally, on the last day, we woke up at around 6:30 AM. I was to drive my sister back to campus, and my boyfriend accompanied us. The best part about it is the no traffic! Sped through the highway smoothly, and grabbed a quick breakfast near my sister's dorms. My boyfriend and I went back home, and I dropped him off at the bus station.

It was such a fun weekend! It'll be my turn to visit Manila next, to spend time with him and his family. For now - it's back to reality. Work, make art, and have the bed to myself again (that's a good thing, I missed my bed haha).
