Well...

I've always harped on their "chemistry" and its no exaggeration. They fit together so naturally. They are so very in tune with each other, when you are with that person and you feel like everything is right and it doesn't matter what you are doing, where you are going or if you are doing anything or nothing at all.

This episode was completely different than any of the previous episodes.

By the end of November they both knew what was going to happen and embracing the idea that they were about to "go in" and they were doing this together. They flat out said they were making memories to take with them while they served their military obligation.

Jimin and Jungkook clearly see themselves as just ordinary people living extraordinary lives, and they want to and expect to experience ordinary things.

The convenience store visit.

They ran like kids sliding on the ice, stomped in the snow, threw snowballs at each other, even though occasionally, Jimin's pragmatism burst their cozy little bubble:

Jungkook: "When it snows during our military service I think I'll recall this moment."

Jimin: "Right now, we're watching the snow from a hotel window but soon we'll have to sweep it up."

Ever the romantic, that Jimin...

Walking on the street with the general public, getting coffee, making their way to the train station... just like everyone else...

Yes, they had a crew with them, leading them and following them through the streets of Sapporo. But everything they did was ordinary.

When they are ordering food or drinks, their attempts at reading and speaking Japanese are endearing. They just dove right in. I love them. See? Don't let language be an obstacle when traveling in a foreign country!

I don't know if that's his personal little round furry money purse or if the staff used that for this trip's spending money and just handed it to him... but it was cute as fuck.

There is nothing pretentious about them. Yes they can whip out the black card to pay for expensive whisky but Jungkook took pleasure in choosing what he wanted himself, carrying his armload of 18 year old whisky to the counter and paying the $4000 for it himself at the distillery. He could have had someone else do it for him.

We saw these purchases in his refrigerator during his live on Dec. 8:

As ordinary as it was, there were still some very WTF moments that everyone has already pointed out:

That moment from the car ride on the way from the airport to the hotel at 11 o'clock at night, no seatbelts, Jimin practically sitting in Jungkook's lap and both smushed against the door. Jungkook looking like he is about to get lucky or just did.... man, I don't know what that was all about and how it stayed in this episode instead of getting edited out. I mean... there is a cut so we are not seeing the entire thing but what they left in was... ok?... I guess?

The train ride sequence (even though it was highly manipulated in post-production to wipe out all the other people)...

That culminates in this... we hope it ends up being a selca in the photobook. The moment was so sweet.

At the distillery, cosplaying their pickup lines at a bar...

Jimin's moment of clarity when he envisioned himself a girl dad and Jungkook thinking "uhhhhh... ok, Jimin, whatever you say"...

Gotta say though, Jimin envisioning himself a father at some point in the future was very sweet.

They reminisced a lot, talking about how much they and the other members have changed over the years and still remarking to each other how young they both look when back outside in the cold air, cheeks flushed from whisky and beer and a hot meal.

Their point of view regarding their looks, "they enjoy watching us gradually get raggedy and fat."

Yet, their age difference is exactly what makes them click. Jimin being older, caring, watchful, responsible in the early years, and Jungkook, so young, still socially awkward, always watching Jimin, always sticking close by him, learning how to maneuver the situations they faced in their profession. Through the years they evolved and matured personally and professionally into the men they are today.

If they had been same-agers, the outcome may not have been the same.

Again, props to the staff for everything they did to make this happen for Jimin and Jungkook. It appeared that some of the time they remained outside in the cold while Jimin and Jungkook were indoors eating or getting coffee.

This trip was their final trip before that "rite of passage" that every Korean male is obligated to fulfill. There was a poignant edge to a lot of this episode, in what they talked about, in the imagery. Jimin has always seemed to want to hang on to his "youth" and now he was about to cross that line and he knew it.

I also keep harping on the fact Jimin and Jungkook are together as we speak and I am thankful for that every day. I firmly believe they are thankful for each other, even if they are not same age friends.

Jikook and the Importance of Photos

Photographs are special. They map out our lives through precious memories. They leave a footprint in time that can forever be part of our history. These glimpses of our past, make us who we are and show what or who is important to us. They are full of so much love and emotions, even more so when they are shared with those most trusted to us. This goes for every photo shared by the members.

 I personally think it’s amazing that we can tell when a photo of Jimin is taken by Jungkook, there’s a certain style to it and it comes across even at a glance. One of my favourite photos of Jimin by Jungkook is this one:

This photo was taken from the behinds of Life Goes On. Each MV was beautifully directed by Jungkook, and it’s hard to miss the references made from within their old dorm. I know Jungkook isn’t keen on photos but, just like during GCFT, Jimin is looking at Jungkook and not the camera here with that smile. With that one look, that we are so familiar with, we can trace every single moment within their history which has that same shining expression. It tells a story over time, but also that one photo itself is so telling in the way that it was captured. One of my favourite photos of Jungkook by Jimin is this one:

There’s something raw and delicate in this photo.You can see it in Jungkook’s eyes. Each item in the photo tells its own little story, from the Birthday cake to the polaroid photos on the table that we never saw. This photo is all we saw from the night of Jungkook’s Birthday in 2019 and sometimes I am reminded that with these glimpses into their lives, there are still so many moments of theirs that we are unaware of. For example, Jungkook had a hickey on his neck during MOTS:Online and none of us had any idea until the DVD Behinds came out. 

For every selca or video that Jikook has shared with us, it shows a part of them that we are so lucky to witness. To be able to watch their growth over the years is magical and something I will always cherish. Why am I going on about photos and memories though?  Because they give so much of themselves to us and I will never take it for granted, nor expect them to give more to us than they want to. Some of their memories are for them only, but we can still hold dear what we know already…

Some of you know this already, but I have been caring for my Mother lately. Over the last few months, her memory has worsened. In an attempt to help, we play memory games and repeat simple tasks together. However, her memory is something that cannot be simply fixed with such methods. I had the idea to get out family photos, until I realised that we had stopped taking them when my parents divorced. It’s made me more proactive in archiving things that I do each day. Every little thing I see or hear, I note it down or save the song. In a way, it’s also how I associate with BTS or Jikook. When the BTS World soundtrack came out, I was having a really bad day and it gave me a lot of comfort. I smile whenever I hear Pied Piper because it’s one of my friends favourite songs. Any time I hear “Jungkookie” or “Jimin-ssi”, a barrage of memories come to the front of my mind and I grasp onto all of them whilst I still can. 

I'm sure it's not just me who does this either, Jimin and Jungkook probably do this themselves. You could see that when Jungkook was watching Jimin’s compilation with us. He was recollecting the same memories as us, but he also has access to an entirely different set of memories that we don’t know of. We also saw that with the way Jimin and Jungkook both explained the Rainy Day Fight. During the Festa video, Jungkook mentioned “rainy day” and expected Jimin to understand what he meant. Later on, Jimin and Jungkook gave their own versions of what happened in their separate lives. They both more or less experienced the same thing, but blamed themselves for their actions and not the other. 

They love adding to their own collections of memories. Every single time that Jimin watched Jungkook rehearse and the other way around, enough so that they could probably be a backup dancer. All the clips they have but haven’t shared. The moments we don’t find out until later, the inside jokes they have without context. We don’t understand, but that doesn’t matter. Only they have to and we just watch and smile. Their memories are a huge part of them, it’s what makes their bond so special.

A reminder of how I do these reaction posts as I watch things. I just write my reactions and thoughts down literally they happen. Think more of a bullet point format. Flying to Japan on Nov 25, 2023!

Jikook being the rich bitches that they are now, do you think they had the whole plane just for them and their staff? The way they BOTH got to enjoy the window seats and the whole row to themselves for most of the trip. Genuinely wish I could fly that way 😂 it has to make that experience a little less miserable lol

Jungkooks super informal tone, the soft way he spoke, the way he placed his hand over Jimin's nape.... Topped off with talking about how their first ever trip together was to Japan, Tokyo. And that's why he wanted to come back. Excuse me 😭 the romantic in you is escaping!

"We have arrived" they say, while in a moving car, and I'm pretty sure Jimin has to be in JKs lap to film the way they are. Or at least BASICALLY all the way in it. Lol and JKs smug ass little smirk and pouty lips. Bro, chill 😅😂

They way they reminisced about their first Tokyo trip while eating their midnight snack 🥰 Jimin remembered so many details. JK just remembered being worried about Jimin's feet hurting during their long walk to Shibuya.

JK sharing how special it was for him to get a short letter from RM when he did his showcase. That was so cute!!

Them arguing over the AC with one being hot and the other cold was so relatable for me. It was like watching me and my partner 😂

They went to sleep in separate beds and woke up in front of cameras in separate beds, but you can't convince me that JK didn't end up in Jimins bed for at least part of the night. Lol his sheets are still tucked in all nicely (Jimin's aren't and JK doesn't sleep that neat from what we have seen lol) and his water bottle is moved over to Jimin's side of the nightstand too. But what do I know 🤷‍♀️😂

Has there been an episode where Jikook haven't brushed their teeth together? Lol

JK being all romantic about remember this moment of watching the snow fall together in the morning. And Jimin popping the bubble by saying they'll have to shovel so much snow in the military 😂😂

Jimin pulled a JK and went from filming scenery to randomly switching his camera view to film Jungkook close up too.

JK snuggling up on Jimin as they watch the scenery go by on the train is the cutest fucking thing. JK was living the dream. You can tell they were so content and happy.

Finally arriving in Sapporo and walking through the train station seeing an adorable little girl and Jimin getting all sappy about how he would be an emotional mess as a girl dad if he ever had a daughter. JK looked both nervous and excited about that idea 🤣🥰💜

They've come so so far. I'm so proud of all my members. I too can't wait to see the 7 back together again!

Anyone else notice they spent almost this entire episode in matching and/or coordinated outfits? Yeah, me too! How very adorable of them. It's so obvious and clear in this episode than it has been in any other. The thing I noticed most about their dynamics in this episode was the consistency in all their little sweet and cute habits together. Things they've done around each other for years and years. And they are still doing it!

JK spent the entire episode randomly filming Jimin. And he said "I love it" or "I'm so happy" over 30 times in just the one episode. Traveling with Jimin and just chilling together brings him so much joy. Everyone should rejoice in that. And Jimin spent the entire episode randomly bursting out into song, but specifically SNTY 🥰 the support!

And the way JK was filming Jimin, it's still that consistency man.

I said most of my "analysis" moments in all that stuff above, I don't really feel the need to repeat myself but if someone wants or needs clarification on my thoughts, please ask/let me know! This was a beautiful and very sweet episode. They were just purely enjoying each other's company! They were so happy together. Good food, good beer, good company, beautiful atmosphere. I'm so happy for them. And it reeks of domestic bliss so often in this episode too. Lol love that for them as well!

I have seen this whole video a while ago, this video is dedicated towards the growth of jimin's and jungkook's relationship. It was beautifully edited and all of jikook's moments were compiled together in chronological order from 2013 (when they first debuted) till 2021.

Well, anon, feel free to send in another ask or you can also hit me up in the DM's! I will gladly give my take on the moments you have thoughts about! Since this video is extremely long and full of moments, I can't possibly give my observation for every single moment. If you were more specific on which moments, I will not hesitate to elaborate more about it.

Nevertheless, here's a quick run-through of jikook's dynamics throughout the years.

2013/2014

looking at 2013 chemistry, we have seen jimin being very brave to acknowledge that he's affectionate towards jk. He likes to call jk cute and does like to compliment him but bear in mind that this was just only the beginning of BTS's debut. Jimin didn't have much time to connect with the members as he was one of the last members to join :)

Based on my observation, Jimin felt more connected towards Jungkook as he was the group's maknae and is from Busan which I where Jimin's from (Im not ignoring the fact that Tae also played a big part as a close friend towards him) Jimin just wanted to build and establish a great bond with jk. (just too attached)

For JK, it's not like he never liked jm, it's just that he was more reserved and was getting into the zone. He had always endeared jm and valued jimin's presence. He has always had those shiny eyes for his hyung ever since the beginning!

Then in 2014, we saw the equations developing gradually.

Things were going on as usual, the normal teasing was going on, the same old wooing and casual chats, jimin wanting to go on a trip with Jungkook.

2014 was just a slow process for the dynamics to progress.

2015

I believe jikook's relationship hit a milestone in 2015. Things started to show very much. It was a turning point.

We saw jungkook turning vocal. His body language and expressions were clear enough for us to know that something was up between them. The sudden praising and flirtiness coming out of that guy were crazy.

We saw them being closer and more flirty throughout 2015. The back hug-slow dance that not many noticed.

The year when jungkook started praising jimin numerous times!

Their moments in public started developing even more and we had lots of intimate hugs and moments that year. Not to forget, we also got many selcas and jikook lives!

2015 was a year great for them, things began to be great between them, and the intimacy between them grew. They also were exploring their feelings that year, which I think is a great thing!

2016

Even more giggles and flirtiness. Just jikook being very obvious that year. But first, check this out.

Apart from that, Jikook received a term from karmy and the media. Karmy started calling Jikook the Sun and Moon duo in 2016 after the coming-of-age ceremony. Jimin is known as the moon and jk as the sun.

We got amazing selcas that year and plenty of interactions as well!

They went on a break together around early 2016.

2017

Oh boy, this one has got to be one of my favourite years of jikook chemistry. This was officially it, you know? From serendipity, gcf-t to award shows. Good lord, save my heart.

We got the iconic gcf-t in Tokyo which was a phenomenal video jk made (no one expected that coming) "running, running just to get my hands on you". Jimin through Jungkooks eyes <3

I genuinely feel so happy for both of them!

Then we got the Serendipity MV. Serendipity has A LOT OF DETAILS! It's connected to jikooks relationship. I find that song very therapeutic and full of warmth and love.

If you remembered what I said (linked my Zico post) in the 2016 timeline, you would notice that the "you are me and I am you" has a connection with serendipity. That trail of 너는 나고 나는 너야 ( Neoneun Na Naneun Neo) began from there. Jikook's never-ending usage of that quote will forever be our favourite 🥰

Of course, we will not forget jikook in Bon Voyage, lol. We got so much of jikook crumbs that year. Damn, it's crazy, lol.

Oh man, this one screamed LOUD! We got jikook as a pair for the SUMMER PACKAGE 2017! Was it intentional to use the rainbow unicorn floaties?

I still don’t know what the fuss is about. To me Jimin and Jk are not in a relationship, never have been. There’s way too many moments that make me think that, and there’s even more moments that make me believe Tae and Jk are together. You only have to look at Tae, Jk and Jimin together to realize that Jk chooses Tae over Jimin and that Jimin knows that Tae has a ‘claim’ over Jk that he doesn’t. It’s not a situation of ‘either Jikook or Taekook’ for me. This pic does not change anything.

Also about tae not liking jimin's album, even if he didnt love it, he could have still supported his friend. I m sure not all memebrs like it equally but all of them supported it. How are they a year old. Jimin revealed the moon tattoo on his live barely six to seven months ago.

Okay and what if my examples happened a while ago? They don't mean anything? They are not important? We should disregard them because they are past events? You'd rather focus on the present to prove that they are enemies because this is a time when they are not 'active'

They are in their solo era. You don't expect things to be like how they were when they were still in their group. And like i said, that's how they have always been, private. But anyway, I will still show you some things that you all choose to forget or ignore. Now, let me give you an example. For a long time, Vmin never posted a single selca with each other. I think at the time, it was more than six years. Suddenly, around 2020 and 2022, Taehyung dropped this selcas (I'm not sure the exact date) it was unexpected and no one had thought he would do that since they rarely cared to show us their pictures

Alright, let me come a little closer. During Jimin's birthday. Everyone sent him their birthday messages. Even Jungkook uploaded a thirst video congratulatuing Jimin, Jhope uploaded all sorts of pictures. Jimin didn't react to any of them at least not publicly but Taehyung was the last to congratulate him. All he did was tweet a photo of them together. That was the only one Jimin reacted to publicly. He even had posted it on his Instagram story. The first time he did such. Talk about priorities.

Also not too long ago, Jimin posted this crying selfie of himself where Taehyung reacted by saying if he hadn't posted it, he would have done so during his birthday.

Again, Jimin travelled to Paris with Jhope for a fashion show and while he was there, liked an old photo of Taehyung watching the moon on Instagram. This very picture below

During one of Jimin's recent weverse live, a fan had asked him if he still fights with Taehyung. Jim responded that he doesn't fight with Taehyung anymore. What would he be fighting him for? Then chuckled afterwards.

Now, let's come to the time when Jimin finally dropped his face album. Obviously, Taehyung had been waiting for Jimin's song release and Jimin posted the following during set me free video release, that he hoped everyone enjoyed his song to which Taehyung responded that he did (whether he really enjoyed them or not)

Now here is one interesting thing Taehyung did prior to the album's release. Taehyung posted himself dancing to this video.

Now, if you don't know who the person on Taehyung's TV screen is, then I'll tell you. That is Leslie Cheung, a famous Hongkong singer and actor. However, what was very peculiar about this man was that he was a bisexual who had been in a relationship with his friend a man for more than twenty years before his untimely death due to suicide.

Now let's look at Jimin's video like crazy and notice some of the things that pointed to the possibility of him being a part of the lgbtq society. Many have already analysed the video but I will repeat their findings here.

Then there is the pants he wore with the picture of a certain man boldly displayed there. That man was Robert Mapplethore, a gay photographer known for his controversial pictures depicting the lgbtq community at a time where the heat against gay people was extremely fierce.

Now, what do you think about that? Isn't Jimin being obvious while at the same time being subtle.?

And from this point on, Taehyung became remotely silent for reasons best known to him and Jimin. Others where busily promoting Jimin's album but not him and because of this, the Vmin divorce allegations began. Haters found another reason to troll them but neither him nor Jimin cared to prove that it's otherwise. If they both worried so much about fanservice like a lot of people believe, they would have done something by now but they didn't almost like they are up to something.

Somehow, I think people are a bit worried. What are they hiding that they can't be more public with themselves. Why can't they be like others. You want them to show you everything so you can prove that they are doing fanservice but they won't do that.

Personally, i think Jimin likes Taehyung a bit too much. More than he would care to admit which could explain why he could be a bit more standoffish towards him sometimes. It's like he's trying to balance things so it seems fair for everyone but in the end, he tends to overdo it. You can tell from Taehyung's reaction that he has no problem with Jimin, even asks him to exercise, asks him about his back pain. What people often see is Jimin's 'cold' reaction towards him. Taehyung is a mature adult. He should be able to sense someone's hostility towards him. If they really hated each other, he wouldn't have even bothered talking to him or even mentioning that he invited him to exercise but Jimin didn't come for reasons best known to him. (Which is still suspicious considering Taehyung's smirk during his recent live) However, there are a lot of things these two are hiding which makes them a danger. People are busy making a lot of noise just like they always have. It's nothing new. We've all been there countless times but in the end, they prove us wrong time and time again so the only thing I can tell you is that from what I have noticed, they both know exactly what they are doing. People should simply just be patient and let them be. Thank you for the ask.
