The connections are connecting
So, I am slow, I admit it. It was early in the morning, and I was half asleep, and on my way to work, and starting out at work, and although I posted about the live, it didn't actually register until this very minute.
But hot damn, JM posted on IG on 4 June 2023, at JK o'clock.
And JK just told us about the rainy day fight on 5 June 2023.
Do we see the connection?
4 June 2020.
The day JK released Still with you as his gift for army (he literally said that in an interview).
youtube
Same JK who brought up the rainy day fight during Festa dinner 2020.
Was that a coincidence then? Him bringing it up during the Festa dinner just after releasing Still with you, with the clear references to a rainy day, with us knowing that JK writes songs out of his own life experiences?
Was it a coincidence that JM posted yesterday, on the 3 year anniversary to that song's release at JK o'clock?
Was it a coincidence today that he chose to answer the question about the rainy day fight and tell us all about it, followed by JM this and JM that and just overall giving us another JM fest?
I just LOVE all these little Jikook coincidences.
Don't you?

Jikook's Rainy Day Fight
So FINALLY getting around to making this post. Lol so honestly go read this one first. It's a HUGE post I made where I really broke down my thoughts about the rainy day fight before they told us more about it. I still stand by alot of these thoughts for the most part now that we know more. The only thing I might switch up a bit is the very last paragraph where I said something like "this clearly has nothing to do with BTS as a whole and seems like a couple-esque fight more than anything else." Imma walk that one back with the new info given lol
Regardless, read this post first before proceeding. Thanks!
Okay, all done with that post? Great! So here is what JK said about the rainy day fight:
And here is what Jimin said:
Overall, the dramatics were ridiculous (i say lovingly) for what this fight was about and somehow it still gives off couple vibes simply because of the way they escalated this "speak more politely to your hyungs" conversation into a "I'm cutting you off" and a slam dunk hug in the rain reunion. Lol
(The way they both think back the most fond over that reunion hug is so freaking cute)
Things I want to additionally point out.
- Hobi hyung getting angry was the barometer of "wow. I super fucked up this time" which makes me cackle 🤣 the man is an angel lol
- after brushing aside his other members remarks and everyone else huffing but leaving, Jimin was the one to make the effort to pull him aside to have a more serious conversation about it. Trying to take it seriously with him, give him respect in return and not make it seem like he was being ganged up on. It speaks once again to how they have always been so incredibly close to each other. This was back in 2015 ish and they made these allowances for each other and gave each other their trust.
- Both Jimin and Jungkook told the same story, but took the blame for the fight upon themselves. They recongized what happened but when sharing the story with a third party, made it seem totally like their own fault (when clearly they both had some anger issues and bad judgements during that fight). It seemed like they were lowkey trying to protect the other and mostly just felt bad about their own contributions to the fight rather than the other person's. Clearly the forgiveness was absolute.
- Jungkooks snarkiness clearly got Jimin feed up to the point where he snapped and said something he clearly didn't mean, but also clearly felt. He probably felt disrespected and felt like that wasn't the type of bond they had cultivated together. And JK clearly felt bad and was upset himself and even after they separated, when he found himself upset and lost, his first instinct was to reach out to Jimin. And even pissed off and mad, Jimins first instinct was to answer JKs phone call and make sure he was okay and safe. Just for them to reunite not too long after, both feel shitty for their behavior and find a secluded spot for them to actually talk it through before they went home and to bed. Regardless of their full day of schedules right after that too. It's incredibly sweet of them.
- its still lowkey giving off couple fight/break up and reunion vibes. Lmfao but only in how they handled their dramatics, not in the actual fight. Nor do I think they were a couple during this time frame. I do think they were harboring crushes on each other, but that's a seperate conversation. And the fact that JK held onto feeling guilty over his bratty attitude and causing this fight so many years later??? Clearly, it had a lasting impact, even though he still acts like a brat to Jimin sometimes lol its done in a teasing manner rather than a disrespectful one. And it's something that the two of them clearly encourage in their bond together.
- the acknowledgement of that through this fight (and the subsequent conversation on the roof and make up afterwards) they got closer is worth highlighting and mentioning too. When a fight/disagreement is done in a healthy way (and while it didnt start that way. They clearly got there), the communication and the way you can get to know someone better can be so helpful for having an even better relationship. Platonic, romantic or any other kind. I'm glad they spent that time together on the roof. It was probably something they both really needed that night and lead to even more emotional vulnerability and comfort between the two of them going forward I'm sure.
Thanks to everyone for waiting so long for me to write this up and for anyone who read this far too. 💜 I know I ramble a lot! I think this was everything I had to say about the rainy day fight though! 💜 Hope you all have a good rest of your day/night!

Have you discussed Jimin and Jungkook's rain fight?
There's dumpling fight bw vmin, banana fight bw hopekook etc.
But the rain fight between Jimin and Jungkook kind of stood out to me. Because it seems to have really affected Jungkook some way. It sounds like some kind of turning point in their friendship, especially from Jungkook's side.
I am not sending this ask to a shipper blog, coz they might be a bit biased, so sending in here.
I don't think I had the opportunity. I think I just mentioned something about Jungkook's storytelling skills in the context, but that's it.
Perhaps it was a turning point for Jungkook because he saw immediately the consequences to his actions. And not because of some banana, but in a situation in which someone close to him got really angry.
I'm trying to think of myself at that age and how I reacted to fights. For example, I would argue with my siblings all the time. We would say horrible things to each other and we would get into screaming matches. I didn't have that with my close friends. Until one day in high school. I was bummed out because I didn't do well on some final test and I kept telling myself that I was stupid. I couldn't shut up about it. My bff at that time, trying to make me understand how wrong it is to talk about myself like that and get a reality check, all of a sudden she approved me. She said "yes, you're absolutely right. You are stupid because you got a bad grade. Are you happy?" And because I was a dumb teenager, I stormed off, went home, cried a bit and then with two other friends, we all decided to meet at our favorite cafe, have a talk and get it over with. And then we didn't have another fight for many many years.
Do you think I took that as a life lesson? Or my friendship dynamic changed? Nah, we were 17 and still dumb and we had crushes and homework to think about. And now, more than a decade later, I get to listen to these two guys being so overly dramatic and taking responsibility and I'm thinking, wow, they were much more mature than I was. Or perhaps the friendship they had was really special. I mean, it must have been due to the context as well. They were both working day and night along other people because they had a goal in life. You have to grow up fast in a situation like that. Leaving home so early had a contribution. Jimin and Jungkook were lucky that they got along so well since the beginning and became close friends. You need that. I can speak from experience and unlike them, I didn't have the opportunity to make great friends while being away from home. But they did, they got each other so of course having a serious fight must have caused quite a big reaction and solving the conflict was like a soap opera/k-drama scene. Crying in the rain was the cherry on top.
The vmin dumpling incident was about work ethic and bruised egos and that too was dramatic. I think there was some physical altercation involved too, but that's just me and my imagination, don't take that seriously.
But in the rainy day fight, they were not on equal footing either. Jimin is the older and probably felt responsible for Jungkook's behavior. Then Jungkook had a big ego too and forgot his place. Trying to navigate that can lead to conflicts. (Remember Jin and Tae fighting during the tour? It's exactly that).
I personally don't see life as a series of life lessons. It's too random and we're too wrapped up in our own heads and our existence in order to realize we should learn something from that. Perhaps it's cultural as well. But the way in which both Jimin and Jungkook told the story, it did seem like an event that had marked the way they should behave with not only one another, but also in relation to those around them. At least they see that retrospectively. If I were to get into BTS now and discover this story, told from their point of view, it wouldn't take long for me to become their fan because they embody a type of relationship that one wishes to have, especially as a friendship.

Good morning! Pt. 1
Breakfast: scrambled eggs with heavy cream mixed with cut up cup noodles and brown rice = under 500 calories.
His shoulder is bothering him. Not good.
He has turtleneck syndrome but obvs not the kind that makes us weak in the knees.
He's working out, pilates, going to the dermatologist, ignoring his guitar lessons, a day in the life of just being The Bun.
He will rest at the dermatologists... lol.
Because he's been a couch potato, his muscles deteriorated and that's why he's having trouble with aches and pains. Getting old sucks, Koo.
Damn the sounds his body makes when he cracks his bones...holy shit. Sounded like dominos falling.
He's going to invest in some workout equipment to keep at home... why he doesn't already have that, who knows. I guess because that's not his permanent home. He said he ordered some equipment but sounds suspiciously like it will sit in the box unassembled for a while...
Kookie, you spent six months being a couch potato in your mikrokosmos cave NOW you are going to invest in home workout equipment right when you are starting to ramp up on activities?
Y'all.. when I say he is the most adorable thing explaining in detail how to correct your posture and giving us walking and sleeping techniques to strengthen the neck and back... I just want to put him in my pocket.
"My here..." and he pats the backs of his legs... my god Kookie. Stob it.
He's killin' me. The most adorable goofball.
He scrolled through the comments and couldn't figure out why some disappear. Who's gonna tell him? Not me.
He's already talking about lunch... salad... superfoods... he found a great salad place and will have that with smoked duck or chicken. Eating healthy.
Kookie Pookie TMI: he might be lactose intolerant. Dairy doesn't agree with him. But he eats it anyway. Same, same.
Sooo many details... shampoo, body wash, face... towels...
His ghostbusters phase... he summoned the spirits from the netherworld with gadgets but never saw or heard any. (The other members did though. That explains everything.)
ISFP (Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving) People with this personality type tend to be peaceful, easy-going, and down-to-earth individuals. They have a strong need for personal space and value time alone to recharge. He needs to have some management. I've said this before. He is not a self-starter.
Now he's talking about setting up a movie date with Army but how to sneak it past the company. He needs to hire a spy. All of a sudden we're conspiring to do something without the company knowing and have a private movie date with Kookie...
This man who stood in the middle of Coachella and didn't think he'd be recognized because he cut his bangs.... is trying to sneak out of the house to go to see a movie with us. What could go wrong?
The imbeciles who keep asking him to speak another language and not Korean. Brainless people who waste everyone's time by typing those comments during a live.
Hold up buttercup. What's that dark area under his jawline?
[squints at the pixels... hmmm]
The Rainy Day Fight story.... this is the most precious retelling of one of the most (formerly) mysterious moments in Jikookistory. Bless the Army who caught his eye with this request in the comments.
According to Jungkook: It happened in the early years, JK was acting like a petulant teenager and pissed everyone off, even "angelic" Hobi-hyung got mad. Jimin even got pissed off. So much so he told JK he wasn't going to take care of him any longer (I've always suspected that Jimin held some responsibility over JK when they were younger and this might be JK confirming that.) JK stormed out of the building and started walking and got lost. He admits he's directionally challenged. THAT'S WHY JIMIN SAID BAM DOESN'T PAY ATTENTION TO HIS SURROUNDINGS JUST LIKE HIS DAD!
Anyway, JK, in the midst of his temper tantrum, got lost and started to panic but first he had to overcome his pride. He called Jimin, hung up on him and then did it again and on the third call, Jimin quickly answered. I think the panic was overwhelming JK by this time and the avalanche of emotions caved in on him. Poor Jimin probably also was worried by this time, especially after JK couldn't figure out where he was. The telling of how he broke down sobbing while talking to Jimin is so sweet and pure. WHO tells other people they actually did this? The details????
Somehow, Kookie found a taxi and got back to the dorm with Jimin standing there waiting. What a story. Jimin took him up to the roof where they could talk in private and I'm sure the words spoken there made an impact on Kookie. He thoroughly regretted it, enough that he had to bring it up during Festa 2020 and say he felt sorry that he made Jimin feel so bad that day.
All of that in the first 38 minutes of his hour and 45 minute live...
Then he proceeded to wake up the neighbors and ruin his furniture at the same time by drumming on his coffee table.
He tossed a book around for a few seconds... Crying In H Mart by Michelle Zauner, in case anyone wants to read what Kookie is reading. Except I think that's the first time he's actually touched the book because there was a big ass brochure in the middle of it that he had no idea was there.
It seemed like a booklist brochure advertising the latest and best books.
omg... bless his heart...
Next topic: Yoongi's concert. Was Kookie watching a fancam livestream of Yoongi's concert too?
HE'S JUST LIKE US! HE SAW JIMIN AT YOONGI'S CONCERT! I BET MANAGER-NIM WAS LIVE STREAMING THE CONCERT!!!
He tells us he will go see Yoongi's concert (I'm assuming in Seoul). Sadly, Jimin might be in Europe on those days. We'll see.
All of a sudden he's blaming fruit flies for knocking over the phone. I didn't say it, he did.
Scrolling through his video library/youtube/whatever he has tons of cooking shows. He mentions 1mincook several times which is a channel of "1 minute cooking" dishes. Quick meals. All the videos are a minute in length. Perfect for JK's short attention span.
Jeon Jungkook is one of the most unpretentious people I've ever seen in my life.
I am 50 minutes into this live. He was very gregarious and jumped from one thing to the next.
I will run out of image space on this post so Part 2 coming soon!
#as many things as he's started and quit#as many times as he's said he's lazy#the Rainy Day Fight#jikook#kook cooks a lot#i would bet on a stack of bibles manager-nim was livestreaming that newark concert

I’ve seen some haters running into Jikook blogs to say Jikookers were wrong about the rainy day fight! No BITCH we weren’t! We just have more details now but the main idea is still the same! We know now that Jikook fought because of Jk’s arrogant behaviour which we kinda suspected anyway, and Jimin got pissed and said he was done caring for Jk and left! Jk left too just wondering about probably pondering about the fact that his Jiminshi just threatened to not care for him anymore! Do you know how hurt he had to have been by that statement to wonder about and get lost? And i think some of u are missing something! This was him remembering something that he still felt sorry to Jimin for and not the members in general! He explained that his attitude wasn’t the best and even Hobi who is like an angel got mad at him but that was just to further explain how bad his attitudes used to be, not that the fight was an 0T7 fight! It was a Jikook fight and what ever he was feeling after the fight wasn’t cuz of all the members it was cuz of Jimin! This again just goes to further prove what Jikookers have been saying about JM being Jk’s comfort person and safe place! He kept hesitating to call Jimin cuz of his pride but he finally gave up his pride and called him cuz having Jimin in his life meant so much more to him that his pride! And did u hear him explain just how much he cried? And it wasn’t just him who cried, Jimin cried too and they did all that on the roof, after which they hugged it out! Now say whatever you want, but there is certain bits of the story that they both left out for reasons best known to them but which ever way u look at it, it just confirms what Jikookers always knew! JK LOVES HIM SOME JIMIN! The thought of losing Jimin made him go bonkers! Just the sight of Jimin after the argument caused tears to flow down his eyes and he didn’t even know why! That right there is TRUE LOVE pple! You can’t make this shit up! You just can’t! Jk loves Jimin! Jimin loves Jk! It doesn’t matter if u ship them or not but what is undeniable is their deep love for e/o! A love that didn’t start today and won’t end tomorrow.
Jk has known Jimin for over a decade but every time he looks at him or talks about him, his eyes still sparkle like it is the first time he seen him! What do u call that if not Love? So how can some of u still be so blinded and choose to continue to insist that Jk hates Jimin? How? Anyways, imma need Jimin to tell me what JuJu he used on Jk! I want my man to be that obsessed with me.
Stand Jikook for clearer skin!!
Fr... what did Jimin do to JK? Is the Jibooty really that good?? 😭😭😭
What a waste of fucking time to spend denying that Jikook have a beautiful undeniable bond. Imagine being bitter that Jimin and JK love eo instead of celebrating them. Oh well. It's your loss. Stay mad coz this keeps happening
Also I love how u described what happened that day. And this little detail here that JK will never forget
No wonder there is rain in still with you.

If that rooftop had ears...
Now we have just one more teensy piece of the puzzle, that is the history of Jungkook and Jimin.
The rooftop.
I don’t recall the rooftop being mentioned ever before. Of course, I’m not original ARMY from 2013, but I have watched a ton of original content in the last 3 years.
That rooftop must have been a place that they frequented, when they needed time away from the ears and eyes of their hyungs. They probably had a lot of conversations there, and I would bet a lot of bonding happened as a result of it.
When you think about how they were literally piled up together in a small living space originally (sharing the bunk-beds all in a room together).....and then still didn’t have their own personal sleeping space until they moved out of the dorm, it’s no wonder that a place like an accessible rooftop would become a little refuge.
Humans need space. Privacy. An opportunity to think away from others.
I personally had wondered about their private space in the years that they were living in the dorm environment. It’s really not a normal way for 7 young men/teens to live, where literally every moment is captured by cameras, and there are staff persons and such around all the time. (Not to mention the separation from their families.) It was not a normal way to live.
My guess is that the rooftop was a place that they all went to at various times, when they needed to. It makes so much sense...
That “Rainy Day Fight” story just took on more depth, and has offered us a clearer understanding of the dynamics. And, Kookie just gave us a deeper glimpse of how he and Jiminie navigated during times of difficulty and stress...
Oh, to be a fly on that rooftop... the stories it could tell. 💜🐰🐥💜

The Shape of Time
Jikook's relationship is a reflection of their stacked history, drawing from their personal experiences and their daily encounters of over a decade.
I talked (ranted!?) before about how the mundane elements of their trip was the centre focus of the first two episodes. Just two guys driving, talking, playfighting, stroking, hiking, boating, shopping, cooking, eating, pooping 😔✊🏽 and sleeping together. Rinse. Repeat. Their chemistry is the glue that holds AYS all together. Their relationship has been years in the making, leading to that dynamic that only they know.
Jimin knows a Jungkook only he knows. Jungkook knows a Jimin only JK knows.
They know the special nuances their voices take on when one of them is tired, joking or serious, or teasing. They know. And it's not for us to judge from afar. We're lucky we even get to watch.
I love the idea of stacked history. Their rainy day fight stacked along with their first encounter: "I thought he was my hyung," 🥺 .. the late night dance practices and the sleeping outside, confessions shared. Their first Tokyo trip and so many more moments we know nothing about. Their relationship is like a stone tower built with the best rocks. A couple of lager ones to make it tall and sturdy, the smaller ones to fill in the gaps. But each one is needed to create a strong tower: balance.

I've seen some people bringing up hickeygate for some reason so in the spirit of AYS?! release week, I’d like to talk about why I love hickeygate.
To begin with, I feel like a lot of people don’t understand that what makes hickeygate so funny isn’t even necessarily the hickey. Or rather, there’s too much focus on only the hickey when the whole thing is just hilarious and weird.
Like, apparently Jikook get drunk (alone) together and JK lifts Jimin bridal style, spins him around, and refuses to set him down even when Jimin gets super dizzy. And apparently Jimin’s drunken method of getting JK to set him down is to “bite” him on the neck in such a way that leaves a mark that looks exactly like a hickey. That’s weird! Every part of that is weird!
And what’s also kind of funny to me is that I think they told the story because imo in their eyes it really was all very innocent “see, we weren’t doing anything weird or wrong!” almost, defensive, if you will. Because technically, they weren’t doing anything inappropriate, they were just defending themselves/explaining the totally non-weird mark Jimin left on JKs neck. It wasn’t really a “hickey”, they have nothing to hide, they were just playing around, nothing untoward happened.
But I think it’s funny because imho it at the very least implies that Jikook have some weird-ass boundaries/behaviors, that they might be so deep into their strange dynamic, so used to and desensitized to it, that they don’t even recognize when they’re being weird af. Because, regardless, this situation is still ????
Most people don’t drunkenly spin their friends around bridal style and refuse to set them down and have hickeys bit (sucked??) onto their neck in response. I mean, maybe some do, but I definitely don’t think it’s the norm (and Jin’s & TH’s responses are hilarious). And certainly most people would realize that leaving what looks like a hickey on your friends neck is going to be perceived a certain way regardless of what story you tell or how it came about, and would maybe cover it up to save themselves the embarrassment if they were bothered by the implications. But clearly that’s not what happened. They were out and proud of that thing lol (well Jimin seemed a bit sheepish about what happened lol).
Anyways the whole thing is funny and very weird and says something about their dynamic and weird physical boundaries and what they might be like when they’re drunk and alone together (which seems like something they do/did a lot). We also now know they also have in depth discussions about singing to the point they get lost in their own little world even when they're with others which is cute too.
Anyways, I know I’m not crazy to point out that their dynamic is weird and their intimacy boundaries are weird and their dynamic can read a certain way because I’ll always point to one of my other very favorite Jikook moments — Rainy Day fight — particularly the way that the other members responded. Like, continuously cringing for no reason, shivering and yelling “ew”, calling it a drama, singing a kdrama song at them, smiling and laughing, which is all honestly hilarious, and unnecessary, and validating lol. Especially because it didn’t really deter Jikook, who were just telling that story as it was, with JK seemingly pretty serious and invested in making sure Jimin got the details right.
So yeah, that is just how they come off, even to their own group that already have loose boundaries - and I just love that about Jikook. Love their weird drunken shenanigans and their dramatic as hell couple like rain fights, and how soft and silly they are in general.
Also shout-out to the retelling of the Rainy Day story where they both separately took the blame because they're mature, considerate and sweet towards each other like that. Also the fact that it was something JK felt sorry for years down the line, even though clearly there were no hard feelings about it. I feel like they probably didn’t fight that often if a fight in which they immediately made up was on his mind like that lol. Also the fact that what upset JK so deeply was Jimin’s threat of not caring about him anymore.
Anyways, I hope we get to see some drunken shenanigans in AYS. They did cut out whatever tussle occurred on that mosquito net during ITS though, so idk what they’ll actually show in the end, but I’m here for it.

What The Perilla Leaf Debate Revealed. . .
The Maknae line is the “more” jealous line, whereas the hyung line is well...not!
Jimin, Jungkook, and Tae all expressed reservations with the question, “Is it okay for your significant other to peel Perilla leaves for a friend when you are there Or is it okay for your friend to peel perilla leaves for your SO when you are present.” JK was the most vocal about how this would 100% not be okay with this. The second most adamant was Tae. Tae was trying to convince everyone why this would be crossing the line by finding analogies like peeling shrimp and exchanging saliva via chopsticks. It was clear that JM too would not be okay because he tried to help RM see why this would be wrong...he also said why would my friend do it if I’m the boyfriend.
The HYung line on the other end was confused as to why this was even a debate. RM found the conversation silly, Hobi reasoned that if we trust each other then such a thing shouldn’t be a big deal, Yoongi didn’t see it as a big deal unless there was heavy flirting involved, and Jin was the loudest about how this debate aggravated him because it wasn’t a big deal.
Now why do I bring this up! Well I bring this up because people love to paint this picture of the maknae line being in this weird love triangle. Or mainly, toxic taekookers like to paint both Tae and JK as these nonchalant boyfriends. Tae doesn’t care about the fact that JK made a romantic ass vlog of JM or spends hours late at night with JM giving him hickeys, sucking JM’s ear right in front of him etc. JK doesn’t care that Tae self admittedly hangs out with Wooga squad more, doesn’t show up to his birthdays, and doesn’t mind not talking to him for two months. However, this debate shows if they were in fact dating...THEY WOuLD BOTH 100% care about all of this.
TAe was salty about sharing chopsticks and peeling shrimp...he said he’d fight his friend if this happened. How much more upset would this man be about Jikooks NYC and Connecticut trip, Tokyo trip, late night hang outs etc, how they touch each other If Jk was his boyfriend? Tae would fight JM not say things like “I like you most!”
Some might say well the same can be said of Jikook. Wouldn’t JM be jealous of Tae, if they were a couple? And to that I’d laugh. JM has no reason to be jealous of Tae and JK’s relationship because they don’t do anything suspicious. They hang out, go out to eat, talk to each other...they do things friends do! Have they shared a bed,...yes but they share beds with everyone...it’s also culturally not that big of a deal for two men to share a bed in Korea. They don’t do anything romantic together or exclusive. They are friends. JM wouldn’t be jealous of that. That said...if JM doesn’t like something he 100% says something.
For example, BV S3 Tae and JK shared a room and Hobi I think came into their room in the morning and JK was at the foot of the bed hugging Taes feet. JM did not like that AT ALL. He chimed in and was like “what/?!?!?!” Now we can’t control what we do in our sleep but JMs response was telling. He wasn’t pleased. Whereas TAe laughs and Jikook’s shenanigans and encourages it. He laughed at their rainy day story even though it sounded romantic, he laughed when JK said his mom made seaweed soup for JM’s birthday even though JM was not there, he laughed when he talked about thinking JM’s room was JKs, he grins when he mentions Jikook hanging out together late at night! THis boy doesn’t give any craps about who JK spends his time with because they aren’t a couple. Whereas JK and JM do care where the other is. JM said once that he gets nervous when JK doesn’t respond immediately to his calls or texts. When JM had to leave to do an interview he questioned him about where he was going and why.
SO what did the Perilla leaf debate reveal? It revealed that this love triangle nonsense is not realistic. It revealed a key aspect of vminkook’s personalities...It revealed that if any pair existed in BTS it would have to be Jikook. Tae and JK’s reactions regarding each other don’t match how they self admittedly would react if they were partners.

Jikook and the Importance of Photos
Photographs are special. They map out our lives through precious memories. They leave a footprint in time that can forever be part of our history. These glimpses of our past, make us who we are and show what or who is important to us. They are full of so much love and emotions, even more so when they are shared with those most trusted to us. This goes for every photo shared by the members.
I personally think it’s amazing that we can tell when a photo of Jimin is taken by Jungkook, there’s a certain style to it and it comes across even at a glance. One of my favourite photos of Jimin by Jungkook is this one:
This photo was taken from the behinds of Life Goes On. Each MV was beautifully directed by Jungkook, and it’s hard to miss the references made from within their old dorm. I know Jungkook isn’t keen on photos but, just like during GCFT, Jimin is looking at Jungkook and not the camera here with that smile. With that one look, that we are so familiar with, we can trace every single moment within their history which has that same shining expression. It tells a story over time, but also that one photo itself is so telling in the way that it was captured. One of my favourite photos of Jungkook by Jimin is this one:
There’s something raw and delicate in this photo. You can see it in Jungkook’s eyes. Each item in the photo tells its own little story, from the Birthday cake to the polaroid photos on the table that we never saw. This photo is all we saw from the night of Jungkook’s Birthday in 2019 and sometimes I am reminded that with these glimpses into their lives, there are still so many moments of theirs that we are unaware of. For example, Jungkook had a hickey on his neck during MOTS:Online and none of us had any idea until the DVD Behinds came out.
For every selca or video that Jikook has shared with us, it shows a part of them that we are so lucky to witness. To be able to watch their growth over the years is magical and something I will always cherish. Why am I going on about photos and memories though? Because they give so much of themselves to us and I will never take it for granted, nor expect them to give more to us than they want to. Some of their memories are for them only, but we can still hold dear what we know already…
Some of you know this already, but I have been caring for my Mother lately. Over the last few months, her memory has worsened. In an attempt to help, we play memory games and repeat simple tasks together. However, her memory is something that cannot be simply fixed with such methods. I had the idea to get out family photos, until I realised that we had stopped taking them when my parents divorced. It’s made me more proactive in archiving things that I do each day. Every little thing I see or hear, I note it down or save the song. In a way, it’s also how I associate with BTS or Jikook. When the BTS World soundtrack came out, I was having a really bad day and it gave me a lot of comfort. I smile whenever I hear Pied Piper because it’s one of my friends favourite songs. Any time I hear “Jungkookie” or “Jimin-ssi”, a barrage of memories come to the front of my mind and I grasp onto all of them whilst I still can.
I'm sure it's not just me who does this either, Jimin and Jungkook probably do this themselves. You could see that when Jungkook was watching Jimin’s compilation with us. He was recollecting the same memories as us, but he also has access to an entirely different set of memories that we don’t know of. We also saw that with the way Jimin and Jungkook both explained the Rainy Day Fight. During the Festa video, Jungkook mentioned “rainy day” and expected Jimin to understand what he meant. Later on, Jimin and Jungkook gave their own versions of what happened in their separate lives. They both more or less experienced the same thing, but blamed themselves for their actions and not the other.
They love adding to their own collections of memories. Every single time that Jimin watched Jungkook rehearse and the other way around, enough so that they could probably be a backup dancer. All the clips they have but haven’t shared. The moments we don’t find out until later, the inside jokes they have without context. We don’t understand, but that doesn’t matter. Only they have to and we just watch and smile. Their memories are a huge part of them, it’s what makes their bond so special.

It's difficult to come up with something relevant to say after I had my moment of excitement last night. Yes, I did stay up to watch the launch trailer and then I think I managed to fall asleep around 4:30? Jikook are ruining my sleep schedule, that's for sure.
I have also watched the trailer an embarrassing amount of times. In slow-motion too....But what can we do when there's fast pace editing and blink and you miss Jikook being cute together?
So far, it's been exactly what I expected the show to look like and for them to be with each other. Doing lots of activities, laughing and cloud gazing. I expect more mellow moments in the next trailer, but also the crazier ones. I'm not forgetting the MMA fight or Jungkook saying how everything got once Jimin arrived.
There would be plenty to tell about each single thing from that teaser, but my brain is working at half capacity so I'll focus on a few things that I remember.
Their time in Jeju and Connecticut was before they got their approval for buddy enlistment which I think will make those trips special in their own way. Perhaps a sort of melancholy intertwined with the joy and freedom of being together.
Just beautiful. That's all I have to say here.
It looked like Jimin was grabbing the umbrella perhaps in an attempt to either take it for him or get rid of it. Nothing like getting soaking wet on a hot summer day. Rainy Day Playfight 2.0.
It's cruel to know that Jimin here is wearing glasses but the clip is too short to see him raise his head. I'm always on the Jimin in glasses agenda.
KooKoo looks like a baby here, such a cutie. I bet that photo ends up in the photobook.
That's all I have for now, although I know there's plenty left to talk about. My inbox is open anyway.
There's going to be a while until the next trailer which will make time feel like slowing down. But I have Muse until then!

So jk basically confirmed that he was bratty back in the day resulting in him pissing jm off to the point that jm was done with him.
And then, and then, and then anon, on the rooftop they kissed... they kissed on the roof, and didn't care that they were getting soaked. Because nothing else in that moment mattered, nothing more than them in each other's embrace. Jungkook regretted talking to Jimin the way he did. He was so happy that Jimin had forgiven him, that he couldn’t stop tearing up into the kiss. Which made Jimin tear up too. Coz he loved this boy so much, and wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him. So he poured all his relief into that kiss. Rain... more rain... wet... both of them soaked. But still not enough to make them stop kissing. And Jungkook apologised once more when they were done. And then they hugged. Giggling. Like the teenagers that they were. All wet on the rooftop. But they didn't care. They were young boys in love and nothing could tear them apart. And then they lived happily ever after.
Bahahahahahaaa! How are fanfic writing skills, eh? 😜
Real talk though, this was absolutely about their push and pull. JK wanting to be the hyung. He was clearly a dog with a bone and very adamant about this and as we know now, Jimin while it took him a while, eventually gave in.
If you watch their older content you will notice Jhope is usually the one having the strongest reaction to dropping of honorifics. Especially when Jimin did it to him. That’s how u know this shit is a big deal. I-army tend to ignore this side of Jikook but if only they knew. Its really not something to take lightly. It means something that JK can call Jimin by his name without the hyung and get away with it.
Anyway anon, back on topic I am so glad we got JK’s version of the rainy day fight. We knew if he told this story we would get alot more details and that’s exactly what happened.
Back to more fanfiction, a friend wrote this yesterday during the live;
You know Jimin is gonna talk to JK about this 😂😂
What an amazing time to be a Jikooker y’all. Is anyone else so glad to be a Jikooker? Doesn’t it feel nice? It really, really does. I love this for us.
I’m also very happy for Jikook, of course and that they’re in a really good place but damn. Love this for us! I got so much joy, all the way from my head to my toes. Jikook joy all over
Let's all just go listen to still with you, digest the lyrics and get lost in more Jikook feels.

jungkook i think has progressed past tae's immaturity, making him a better match for someone like jimin anyway
To be fair, I think a lot of that is jimin's influence. Whether they are romantically involved or not, spending so much time around and having deep meaningful conversations with someone who is soooo emotionally mature and conscientious of their actions and of how they make others feel will make you think more about how you treat others. Jungkook admits to being immature and selfish when he was younger, but I think we can all see how he stepped up and grew emotionally and I think jimin played a big role in that. I mean we even see the ways he stepped up for jimin specifically, like buying jimin bday presents even if he didn't get it for the others or being a jimin encyclopedia about what he likes/dislikes or other times where he's just obviously emotionall aware of jimin's needs. I'm not even implying anything inherently romantic here, but just that you can see that he hears, like genuinely, hears and listens to what jimin talks to him about. And that's a huge part of emotional maturity/intelligence, being able to really listen to someone and understand their needs.
anon is referencing the end of this post: https://www.tumblr.com/just-orbiting-you/757032090657292288/i-actually-agree-quite-a-bit-with-the-other-anon?source=share
thank you for this ask, it really enlightened this clip for me. i thought a lot about this when Taemin's Suchwita ep dropped, specifically this clip above. i thought, even if the members notice that jungkook has taken elements of all seven members as he grew up, i couldn't really place how exactly jimin influenced him, which is kinda foolish looking back.
Jungkook admits to being immature and selfish when he was younger, but I think we can all see how he stepped up and grew emotionally and I think jimin played a big role in that.
the rainy day flight encapsulates this perfectly. we don't know exactly what they were fighting about that day, but we know jimin tried his best to get jungkook to think critically about his actions, even if it was leaving him at the practice room. jungkook remembering that day so vividly and bringing it up 6-7 years later in 2020 goes to show that day really stuck with him. you're right, jimin taking jungkook under his wing early in bts's career was crucial in jungkook becoming who he is today.
when you admire someone, platonically or romantically, you often begin to model that person's outlook and behavior. it's not only clear to me that jungkook cares deeply for jimin just in the way he is so attentive, but also how jk has effectively modeled jimin's maturity to match him. this happened simultaneously as jimin allowed jungkook to practice growing a mutually mature, respectful and vulnerable relationship. growing their relationship helped jungkook grow too.
jungkook once would resort to a little bit of violence/playfighting around jimin, tease him by calling him the least attractive in the group, etc. now he's really puts his kind heart on display, being so generous with jimin, eager to praise him and take care of him. on top of jungkook's emotional growth evolving him into such a sweet
this is why i love jikook so much. their relationship holds so much depth and it's so clear that love and trust each other so much so they would go to the fuckass military together. ugh my jikook :').

what do you think of the rainy day fight bpp? we’ve heard both sides’ version of the story but what really gets me is how jungkook during festa 2020 didn’t even feel any secondhand embarrassment when jimin was telling the story when all the other 5 members were feeling it lol jungkook was kind of endeared by the memory by the way he was smiling
***
Aren’t they just adorable?
Jimin was doing major damage control in that Festa 2020 live lmao. The members were calling it a romance drama, Jimin took over the telling from Jungkook, saying a whole lot without saying too much, and Jung Kook had the silliest most endeared smile on his face the whole time.
When Jungkook calls Jimin his catalyst, I feel the rainy day fight shows us one of the best examples of how Jimin fills that role for Jungkook.
My quick summary of what the rainy day fight was given what jikook have said about it: There was tension in the group due to how (a hormonal teenage) Jungkook behaved and treated his hyungs. Stern words were exchanged and everybody left the practice room, except Jimin and Jungkook. Jimin then had a frank conversation with Jungkook which ended with Jimin saying something to the effect of ‘if this is how you’re going to be, fine. I won’t care about you anymore.’
I feel like Jimin to that point had been Jungkook’s biggest support and most ardent advocate. I’ve talked before about how the attention Jimin showered on Jungkook in their early years was genuine and partly served the purpose of helping establish the maknae centrally within the group. Jungkook is someone who needs a lot of love, by his own admission, and Jimin is someone for whom giving love is instinct. It’s natural to him. They were both far from home and found home in each other.
I think the rainy day fight was one of the first times it really hit Jungkook how much he loved and relied on Jimin. Left alone in that practice room, rain pouring down hitting the roof tops, Jungkook felt a world in which Jimin treated him like any other bandmate was unbearable. He realized that for Jimin to even make a comment like that, he must’ve fucked up royally. It caused him to reflect and before long, he ran after Jimin.
We all know how the story ends, with jikook finding each other in the rain, hugging it out, and talking way past midnight on the roof of their dorm. The guys have said this happened in 2015 or 2016.
There’s no bigger Jimin Stan than Jungkook, and no bigger Jungkook Stan than Jimin. This hasn’t changed in 10+ years. And this is the thing that I find most interesting about jikook: how consistent they are. Not even the most highly awarded Oscar winner can put on an act for 10+ years, and then even when off the clock, choose to spend 18 months joined at the hip while completing a mandatory military service, all to serve a company’s fan service narrative.
Anybody who thinks Jungkook hates Jimin, would do anything malicious to him, or that Jimin thinks somehow less of Jungkook or would put up with bullshit from Jungkook because Jimin is oh so kind… anyone who thinks this is insane. In my opinion.
I’m talking daft as a brush, mad like a rabbit on crack. Just plain delusional, no two ways about it. Jikook are the og “you are me, I am you.” The rainy day fight is one of the key instances we see this play out, crystal clear.
