Jikook deciding together, what to eat, when to eat, when to sleep, when to diet, what clothes to buy and match. Making life decisions together, enlisting together, even deciding to spend couple days together.

I can't get over how they move like a couple, even if they're possibly only friends. They're so in tune & move together as one. I can see why members always speak about them as a package deal or ask if they're dating or a couple. They clearly see it too. And the way they've always been consistent with their domestic nighttime routines, we seen for years. We saw it in ITS 2 when they decided to call it a night together and Jk asked Jimin if he wanted Ramen and Jimin said no lets sleep now. In NY going to bed together at the same time. In CT, brushing their teeth together & getting ready for bed and going to bed again around the same time & waking up and snuggling together complete with morning booty slaps and moans. In Jeju, both washing up at the same time, with Jimin even hovering by JK doing his nightly skin care routine, same as he did in CT. Deciding when they are gonna have "Ramen" kinda hard when you have a guest crashing in your room, then deciding together not to have Ramen and just winding down together, until Jk says he's tied and says come on lets go to bed and they run and jump in the same bed together & snuggle a little bit. We even see them brushing their teeth together again in Japan in matching couple PJ's. The way JK even added them waking up together and starting their morning routine together in couple JK's, in the Life Goes On video, which also parallels Troye Sivan's opening shot of his There For You music video, which is the song JK used for GCF Tokyo. I'm in awe of Jikook. Always on the same page. Its so darn cute & so domestic.

If not couple, why so couple coded Jikook? If not couple, maybe you should become one, since you already act like one. ;)

Yep you said it all anon. If jikook are not a couple they might aswell become one because they already act like one and have been behaving like one for over 10 years.

I still remember when they were in Vegas for PTD and jikook were dieting together and taking boxing lessons together from Tommy Sseam. Jk got into the room found out Jimin had eaten and called his a traitor lol. There were always some little things they did or said that gave us an idea of how they spent their time off camera. Even back in 2021 when they were in LA for PTD, we had them coming back from concerts together, eating together, working out together, even talking about not showering yet, I mean what do yoonminers and taekookers think when they see stuff like that? They think that all these years Jimin and Jungkook just abandoned Tae and yoongi and did everything together including eating, sleeping, working out etc and only waited for the solo era to finally spend some time with their boyfriends Tae and Yoongi even though all these years Taegi have been spending nights alone, showering alone, eating alone, working out alone and barely spending any alone time with Jikook because those two were literally always together? Jimin and Jungkook are some terrible partners then.

I hope you don’t mind if i add my two cents. I read this ask and realized that we as human beings really have a problem seeing these idols as actual human beings who have layers and complicated feelings.

This non shipper anon mentioned that Jikook stopped being as close around 2021 but that is definitely not true. First of all, many shippers especially taekookers feel like there was a sudden uptick in jikook moments around a certain time (2017) but that is not true at all. Go back and watch content from the very beginning and pay attention to the boys talk on Lives, during festas and other moments and you discover that Jk and Jimin had always been very close. Jimin was the one who Jk spoke to when he got back from the US and contemplated abandoning his dream to become an idol and go for dancing instead.

In a log they did in 2013, we had Jimin and Jungkook telling us that the two of them were in the habit of putting blankets and sleeping together on the floor outside their rooms. The very first bangtan bomb that was ever posted was a of Jk taking videos of Jimin back in 2013. During Festa 2014, we heard from the members that Jk usually piled clothes on his bed to go sleep in Jimin’s bed and even back then, when Jk was asked which hyung comforted him the most, he said it was Jimin. Fast forward to 2015 when Tae did a Live from Japan in the hotel room that he shared with Jimin and mentioned that Jimin and Jk were together even though the 3 of them had planned to do a Live together or in 2016 where Jimin was the first member Jk ever gave a birthday gift to. I am listing some of these moments chronologically just to show u that Jimin and Jungkook had always been close, very close infact it’s just that jikook as a ship gained excess popularity in 2017 after Jungkook posted GCF in Tokyo. So it’s not really that there became an uptick in Jikook moments from there, it is that people started paying more attention to Jikook after Jungkook’s GCF. The best way to see some if these things is to watch Vlives and bangtan bombs from pre 2017 era and you will see what i am saying.

As i mentioned before, non shipper anon said Jikook used to be close till like 2021 and mentioned that their last sighting outside of work was around march 2022 but that’s not true at all. Remember that in PTD Vegas Jikook were joined at the hip, they left the concert venue together on all 4 days of the concert and one of those days, they went out to eat with Yoongi and staff and some non shipper Armys visited the restaurant they went to in Vegas and said they were told that Jikook sat together on one table and yoongi sat on another with staff. Plus Jimin and Jk still boxed together with Tommy Saem (Jk’s boxing coach) and based on that April 2022 Live with Vminkookkhope, jikook were even on a diet together. So many times people forget to facture in the point that Jimin started working on his album in May. Immediately after PTD in Vegas Jimin moved in with Pdogg to work on his album because he literally had nothing prepared so i can imagine that during that period, Jk and Jimin didn’t spend as much time together because Jimin was busy and i also noticed that Taekook seemed to get really closer during that period. Infact we all saw taekook hang out outside of work more frequently by the end of 2022 and part of 2023 than we had seen in all their 10 years of being BTS. Like anon said, jikook were the ones always together everywhere both in and outside of work. Even in 2021 while they were in LA, we found out that Jikook worked out together everyday, came back from concerts together, ate together and untop of that, Jk spent alot of time in Jimin’s room hanging out with him. So i feel like the distance we sensed between jikook starting 2022 was mainly because of how busy Jimin got. It tracks.

I am not someone who really believes that any of the members are dating each other but i know that Jimin and Jungkook have and have always had an extremely close bond since debut. It wasn’t always very visible because of their somewhat complicated dynamic and because of the fact that other pairings like taekook, yoonmin and Vmin overshadowed jikook but that bond had always been there and if you pay attention, you see it.

I believe that taekook too have always been close but i also believe that there was a period where they grew a little distant. I know that, that is not something taekookers will ever agree about but it is clear to me because i have been in this fandom since the end of 2015 and have watched alot of things unfold. I agree that jikook were paired up alot at some point but i think that was because of their chemistry and closeness and not because BH had some agenda to push. How does pairing pple in subunits potray them as closest or a couple? Jikook as a ship gained recognition and popularity not because of the company but because of Jungkook and his GCF and yes seeing them together alot on content enforces certain beliefs but did yoh ever think of how you saw them? What are they doing when you see them on content? Most times you see them together in the back even when they are not the main focus of the camera or you see them coming and going together or you see them staying back to rehearse or practice together, or you see them staying back to watch and support each other during their solo practices, or you hear members talking about them as a unit. Hobi saying Jk and Jimin always stay up late together, or Joon saying after watching Jimin and Jk run around/ get along so well he got inspired or Tae mentioning on more than one occasion that Jk and Jimin were spending time together late at night, or Hobi saying that he ate with Jikook who ordered food together. It’s not one thing and certainly not company content that gives people the impression that jikook are extremely close.

Even in chapter two where it was clear that those two probably didn’t see each other as much, anyone could still feel how much they love and missed each other, especially Jungkook with his Jimin centric Lives and constantly inviting Jimin to come over for chicken, boxing, lives etc. Those two are really good friends who are very important to each other and it is normal that sometimes, when life happens and people get busy, some distance creeps in. I feel like that is what happened with Jikook after 2022. They started doing different things, Jimin working on two albums at once, Jk not working on anything and was bored outta his mind up to the extent that at some point, my man was visiting almost all the meat restaurants in korea all alone lol and then he started hanging out with Tae alot after that and then later got busy again. That is life.

I'm not going to assume this is your intent but tangentially, I'm feeling real tired of "JK hung out with Tae cos Jimin wasn't available."

Tae is only valuable when someone else isn't available? That's dehumanising.

But I'm sure that's not what you're saying because you at least recognise Taekook are close and aren't total strangers who got invited seperately to the Dreamiere and just happened to bump into each other.

Jimin was recording an album, he wasn't in solitary confinement?! Tae and JK recorded albums last year too? They all found time to go to Jeju together when JK was undoubtedly busy with album stuff.

Oh I don't know. It's ok if Jikook didn't see each other cos they didn't want to and made time for other people during their schedules, man. TKKrs accept there are times when it looks like JK and Tae might have been beefing. That is also life.

I watched Like Crazy

*I’m talking about the movie here so this post contains spoilers of the movie. Do not read this post if you haven’t seen the movie but are planning on it*

Of course, my interest in this movie stemmed from Jimin said that he really likes this movie and that it helped inspire his main track off FACE that goes by the same title. So, I watched it. I’m not much of a movie person and romantic movies are very much an I have to be in the mood to watch it sort of thing. Like Crazy a melancholy movie about an initially passionate heterosexual relationship that becomes complicated over time.

I went into this wanting it to evoke some emotions that Jimin might have felt. I was never moved to tears, but it was a good, sad movie.

The beginning I couldn’t help but notice the parallels in Jikook’s relationship. The main couple Anna and Jacob were very playful in their flirting, and it was really cute. They were inseparable. They did activities together like riding go carts and there was a long scene of them playing on Santa Monica beach which was the same beach that Jikook went to at night during PTD LA era.

Anna the female lead is a foreign exchange student and has to go back to England once they graduate college. The couple plan to make it work, and the morning that she is supposed to leave she decides to stay thinking that it would be a big deal. There is a long montage scene of them staying cuddled up in bed together for days on end, which felt very Jikook coded.

Eventually she has to go back, and they promise to reunite. He gives her a silver bracelet that says “Patience” and she hands him a scrapbook type diary of their moments together.

Once she is home though, they both realize it’s difficult for them to stay in contact. They keep playing phone tag and are busy with work. Eventually, they move onto different relationships but keep trying to make it work but the spark isn’t there.

The movie has an extremely ambiguous ending that felt abrupt.

I am not going to speculate something super in depth about how this movie could tie into Jikook’s relationship. I don’t think they broke up and found different partners like the characters in the movie did, but the theme of the movie being about being forced to be separated from the one you love is for sure is something that relates to them. With MS ahead, they will be separated. When Jimin was busy with FACE promotions and even recording the album itself, they were probably separated more than usual too. And that could have been a hard period for them.

Don’t take this post as any type of insecurity projected onto their relationship. We saw 2 min of JK in Jimin’s live. They are fine 🤣 I was mostly curious to watch this movie and see if I could feel the same emotions that Jimin might have felt. It’s a good movie. I didn’t relate to it much personally, so I don’t have super strong feelings about it. But the movie seemed to have had a lasting impression on Jimin, one of our two hopeless romantics.

I know a lot of jikookers are absolutely certain about jikooks relationship but I just don’t see it. I don’t ship them but there are things that will always I guess reassure that they aren’t in a relationship for me personally. I wanted to state them to see your opinion on it.

I want to start with jimin calling jungkook his younger brother, I think this is very telling on why it causes me to believe they’re probs just friends. I don’t usually see jk saying he’s my brother and my older brother as much as jm and it seems as though jimin is trying to like push a point if that makes sense but it could just be me perceiving it as that. No one who’s dating someone is gonna call them their sibling unless they have some crazy incest kink lol and we see jm do that. Another thing was jungkook saying Jimins girlfriend would be lucky this was prob in relation to jimin being a giving and kind person and I was like would anyone in a relationship ever say that even if they’re trying to hide a relationship.

Another big thing for me was the physical affection the members still all show each other (especially tae and jk I’ll explain further) and that’s not a problem of course but I would’ve thought there’d be some boundaries set and enforced considering jikook are in a ‘relationship’. Like receiving the same level of physical affection from them kinda said a lot but also didn’t. Like for example in life goes on at ptd las vegas jungkook grabbed jimins butt and everyone went crazy as they should but namjoon did kinda did the same and cupped jungkooks butt so I was kinda like? But that maybe something they’re okay with within their relationship. But other moments of physical affection that stood out with me are all regarding tae and jk. For example when he sat on taes lap which could of course be platonic but why would you do that on a stage with thousands of people and your so called boyfriend right there? And another was in the soop when jk sat on taes legs/thighs while he was laying down and they were both wearing shorts (this is kinda important because I feel like presence of clothing changes the level of intimacy of this moment) it made me question a lot. And a really big one again was when tae rubbed jungkooks upper thigh while jimin was right there which was very intimate considering it was yk bare skin and it seemed kinda normal for them. There are probably more moments like this regarding them and probably even other members but these rlly stood out and said a lot. There was also a time where jk kissed Jin’s leg or I think jm kissed hobis neck in hobis bday live.

And once in a run bts episode where jk succeeded in a game and he was really happy and jm n tae were there watching and he wanted to celebrate by hugging tae and jm also tried to hug him but it was awkward bc he only hugged tae n jm was kinda just left out it could’ve been that he just didn’t see him/register it(that he left him out). Or when namjoon commented on his live that he wanted to go on a date with jungkook and jungkook was like how can u say that here n a giggly tone (I mentioned this because flirting with smn who’s in a relationship) or a time where v kept telling jm he liked him n flirted with him. Like all these moments of intimacy wouldn’t be a big deal with me and my friends but we are all straight so I kinda can’t see it from the point of view of someone who’s attracted to the same sex and has physically intimate relationships with the same sex while being in a relationship with someone of the same sex I hope that makes sense. And im not an incel if my confusion comes off as that please understand im a bit special (neurodivergent)😭 and I do flirt with my friends iknow those are jokes so it could be the same for them too and me and my friends do all the same as I’ve mentioned here.

I think I’ll stop there. And I am in no way saying that because of all this their relationship isn’t as cute and intimate and special as before but this is just in regards to them being in a romantic one which could still be true because those theories of their relationship are all plausible. But I think you can kinda understand my confusion with the topic. Please share your thoughts

Although perhaps some advice, as a straight person, don't make comments and assumptions about how queer people interact with each other 😅 I'm bi, I'm married, I went out with my best friend the other day and we called it a "date" and I'm touchy with my friends all the time. I've sat on my friends lap at the pool before too and I promise I didn't even want to sleep with her at all. Even though I am also attracted to women as well as men. Soooo.... where do we go from here? Lol not to mention how queer people often have way different kinds of boundaries than straight people do. And how PERFORMERS and people in that kinda industry as a Job or hobby ALSO have way different types of boundaries and generally are happy being touchier together.... like these are straight people and they are dancers and they are dancing together and both are married to other people and you even see the girls husband get *jokingly* upset but never actually really bothered

Hey Rain, so i am fairly new to the fandom but i was reading back on what happened years ago especially because i was a little confused about taekook’s living conditions and i found out that Tae left the dorm sometime around 2018 and got his own place as well as Namjoon and Hobi and then Jimin, Jk and Yoonjin stayed in the dorm and then for a period of time Jk shared a car with Hobi (while in korea) and we later heard that he had an apartment in Hobi’s complex. Then not long after that, he started sharing a car with Jimin again and this continued till around April/May of 2021. We know that by 2019 all the members had moved out of the dorm already and i can see Jk sharing a ride with Hobi for a short while cuz they lived in the same complex but why did he share a car with Jimin all those years till 2021 when we heard that Jimin bought an apartment in RM’s apartment complex? Does that mean that Jk lived with Jimin? There weren’t in the dorm anymore so did they live together?

I don’t have any issues with Jikook living together because they are best friends anyway but why didn’t Jk live with Tae instead? I remember feeling perplexed after finding out that on Jk’s birthday in 2020 he was with Jimin even though they were not in the dorm anymore. Why do you think this happened?

Also, why do you think Jk didn’t stay in LA to go on Vacation with Tae after PTD in LA? We know that Tae went on vacation with Hobi and their families while Jk returned to korea with Jin and Jimin and i would have understood if Jk had something to go do in korea but he didn’t. He was actually bored out of his mind while he was in quarantine so why do you think he didn’t stay back with Tae?

In general I'd say details like the ones you describe are the hardest to make sense of. We simply know too little of their lives to understand why certain things were arranged the way they were. We don't know what individual schedules they all had aside from going to group activities together. We don't know what went on in their private lives. We don't know what BH's strategies for their images were at those times. A lot of unknown.

That is true for all of us in our daily lives as well though. FOr instance, I wasn't at work yesterday.. though I did leave my house in the morning. All types of speculation about that would be possible.. did I have an emergency? Did I have to go to the dentist? Did I need a break for my mental health? My neighbours who I have no relationship with would have been able to come up with all kinds of explanations.. but the right one would have been that I had a special business event. You see how without propper knowledge about someone's live things become some sort of guessing game. WQe don't know if Jk had something sceduled that made him not go on holiday with Tae and Hobi. Not everything that happens has to do with their relationship... especcially when they live such extreme lives. People often make the mistake of looking at Tae and Jk (or all BTS) with the normalcy of their own lives in mind. While their feelings are the same as ours, their lives are very much not... and you will most likely see very little that resembles your own live and what you think would be normal for a regular couple in love.

I think Jk doesn't care for birthdays much. I think when you're always on the road things like birthday and holidays lose a bit of meaning when you're so often unable to celebrate the normal ways.

Aside from Jm being one of Jk and Tae's best friends I do not asign a special meaning to Jk sharing a car with him that often. SInce I think Jk and Tae were kept apart at times I think him being with Jm a lot makes sense since he is probable second in closeness to Jk. I haven't got the best insight on where their apartments were all situated so I have little sensible to say about that.

I don't think Jm and Jk lived together after they all moved out (though I am not the most up to dat on all BTS's houses and times of moving, feel free to step in and correct). But they could've spent time a lot? I imagine the transition from living as a group to living alone was a weird one. Tae and Jk publicly living together isn't an option I think. Not now, and especcially not then. While some say there wouldn't be a difference between Jk living with Jm and Jk living with Tae... to them there absolutely would be a difference. To BH there would absolutely be a difference. One would be friends living together, but the other would be a queer couple being together. An actual queer couple is always dealt with differently than a ship, because with a ship there is no risk in them being discovered as anything more.

To some it might seem odd that Tae and Jk decided (if in fact it was their own decision) to not move in together after having already lived together. It is however a whole other mindset to be living together as a couple as opposed to living together as a whole group of guys. To live together as a couple you have to be ready for that, and in their case there's the very important factor of them being famous and a possibly closeted couple.

15th February - J-Hope tags Jimin on his IG post and Jimin sends a get well message for V who has come down with COVID on Weverse

20th February - Vlive with Namjoon, Yoongi and Jimin

6th March - Vlive with Jin, JHope, V and Jungkook

11-13 March 2022 PTD in Seoul

19th March - Vlive with BTS minus Jin who is getting an operation on his hand.

28th March - BTS Travel to LA, JK travelled a day earlier and JHope was down with COVID and travelled later.

So best guess would be sometime between when Jimin was released from hospital on the 5th February 2022 and when Jungkook flew to LA on the 27th March 2022.

Vegas baby!

I wanted to compile a weekly report but I just didn't have enough time because I was busy getting ready to head out to Las Vegas for a much needed break.

On the agenda: Hobak BBQ, Seven Magic Mountains art installation, a drive-by of Allegiant Stadium, and Bellagio fountains.

I do not think we'll do the 4-hour round trip drive to Lake Delores Waterpark in California where the Yet to Come live performance was filmed.

I'm not sure what that place is like now but it has been abandoned for years and I don't want to spend the time to drive out there just to find out we can't enter the property.

The Yet to Come MV was filmed out in the Mojave Desert, perhaps at Dumont Dunes which is located in the middle of nowhere across the California state line...

According to Jimin and Jungkook, it's also two hours outside the city. I can see it on the map and yeah... its in the middle of nowhere.

We may drive far enough over the California state line to say we did but we'll most likely stay closer to the city, Red Rock Canyon is nearby and of course we'll hit the strip at night just to see the lights.

Other than that, if anyone remembers any other BTS-related thing or place we need to check out in and around Las Vegas let me know!
