Jikook Week 36 Complete (13/08 - 20/08/2024)

Their 36th week in the military is now complete and it's time to celebrate this milestone with a look back at this week in 2017.

BTS were gearing up for the release of Love Yourself: Her in September 2017 and promo material was knee deep on the timeline.

On 18/08 the highlight reel was released. Each member has their own 'love story' but the order of the day was unrequited.

The last episode of Bon Voyage Season 2 in Hawaii aired this week with the members reading letters that they wrote to each other.

The letters were written like this....Jin -> Jungkook -> Namjoon -> Taehyung -> Jimin -> J-Hope -> Suga....with Suga writing to Jin to complete the circle.

When reading their letters, the maknae line ranged from embarrassed (Jimin) to emotional (Tae and Jungkook). Jikook reiterated their admiration for J-Hope (JM) and Namjoon (JK) and spoke about everything they had learnt from them.

Taehyung talked about what Jimin's friendship meant to him. I bet there wasn't a dry eye in the house that day.

Bon Voyage 2 remains largely a mystery to me as I haven't yet found a way to watch it on-line and it's behind a paywall on Weverse. If anyone can point me to a reliable source, I'd love to see all eight episodes but for now I'll just have to enjoy the clips that are available.

Can we talk about this very SUS Jikook moment from Bon Voyage Season 2 ep 2 please?

So the boys are playing Hide in Seek in the dark (aka with blindfolds and all that inside their first accommodation) to win money for spending on their first full day in Hawaii.

They have been split into three teams. A) Namjin B)Sope C)VMinKook

Jin was trying to maneuver and climb from where he was in the window to the bed and both Jungkook and Taehyung find him. Jungkook ends up putting his hands on Jin’s backside and goes “whose butt is this? Who are you?”

So again I say JIMIN HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT’S JUNGKOOK’S BUTT FROM FEEL ALONE UNLESS YOU’VE SPENT A LOOOOOOOOOT OF TIME TOUCHING IT OUTSIDE WHAT WE’VE SEEN.

I also think jimin teases jungkook sometimes to get him going because he finds it cute how entertaining jungkook can get, the whole group is entertainers who love to entertain and they're very good at it. but when they were at the restaurant in ep5 and jimin got jungkook going about how to grill the pork I think he did that cause it's cute to see jk chat like that. it's probably also something jungkook loves to talk about and he wasn't very talkative I think cause tae was there but with jimin when it's the two of them I bet he talks aaaall the time about all kinds of things haha

To be FAIR lmao it was probably because Jimin wanted to go and JK had said "you could see it all on the internet" and Jimin said "it's better in person. Let's go!" Lmao so freaking cute

Jikook Week 7 Complete ✔️(23-30/01/2024)

Their seventh week in the military is now complete. It's time to celebrate this milestone with a look back at this week in 2019.

JK was still making covers of songs and on 23/01 he released Ending Scene by IU on Sound Cloud.

Jimin responded with "Cover fairy JK😁"......

....and "Kitty Ending😊".....

followed by "Met in Malta"

Nostalgia for the Malta trip in 2018 perhaps "Together bam!"

On the 29th January, Run BTS Episode 61, the first sauna episode, came out. Jin, Suga and Jimin were on one team and RM, Tae, J-Hope and Jungkook were on the other.

In the first game, Jimin and Jungkook, playing against each other, get exactly the same score on the finger flick machine and immediately reference Serendipity, " You are I, I am you"

The second round was a word game which, I have to say, I don't really understand, even after watching the show a few times. Jin and RM won the first and second rounds in under a minute but Jimin's time in the sauna extended over three rounds. Jungkook was his second opponent. They were working together to get the answer but JK got there first and was happy to escape to the cool and snacks.

Afterwards though he was little remorseful having left Jimin to battle it out a third time and was cheerleading from outside the sauna.

The episode ends there, but I sneaked a peak at Run BTS 62 and I am happy to say Jimin makes it out next round.

Jikook moments in Bon Voyage~ My summer rewatch

I've been spending my summer rewatching old BTS content. Last week, I binged Bon Voyage Season 2, and now I'm on Season 3. I love that they chose Malta to spend time together; I was completely smitten, especially with Jikook when they paired up for sightseeing. One moment that stood out was how Jimin showed his protective and possessive side over Jungkook.

When Hobi asked Tae why they ended up hugging each other’s feet while sleeping, both Jungkook and Taehyung were speechless and seemed unsure of what to say. It was clear they were aware of Jimin’s reaction. Jimin took charge and reframed the question for clarity, asking, “What? Did they hug each other????” He first pointed out Jungkook hugging Tae’s feet, and you could see he was unhappy about it. He even said, “What’s wrong?”

Jimin is always on guard and ready to fight when it comes to jungkook . This was just my analysis. I hope you don’t mind—just sharing my views and thoughts after watching the episode.
