Heyyy!! I haven’t had the chance to rewatch all the episodes yet, but I was wondering about jk turning the cameras off in some of the episodes for privacy ofc, and as far as my memory serves me, I only remember him doing it in the US and Sapporo episodes, I can’t recall him turning off any cameras in the jeju episode? Would you know if he did do it in the jeju episodes and I just missed it?

If he did in fact turn off the camera in the episodes where it was just him and jm well… 👀

New theory... Bighit wants the Jikook travel show to look as GAY as possible!

I was so shocked at the last trailer for Are You Sure?! You can read my post about that here. I mean come on...

That is how they STARTED the damn trailer?!? 🤯And then playing Jimin's "Who" and Jungkook's "Seven". 😵 And those aren't even the only moments I was surprise didn't end up on the cutting room floor. This is not something you would do if you're trying to make this show look like two friends just being good bros on vacation together.

That's when it hit me, they are doing with Are You Sure?! what they did with the unforgettable Rose Bowl moment.

Bighit had to decide how to handle 👆that very public moment of affection witnessed and recorded. So they put it in the official memories. If it were truly what it looked like, surely Bighit would try to bury it right? But the figured out how to repackage it as fanservice and hide it in plain sight.

I'm starting to be convinced that is what they are doing with Are You Sure?! They knew this show would raise eyebrows. And they knew jikook were going to jikook. They could have removed almost everything and we would still be left with cute moments where their chemistry and bond would be obvious for all to see. So why not make the show look over the top gay? It feeds right into the fanservice narrative so many already believe.

I'm starting to think they are going to put the most suspicious moments in the trailers/promotions to make the show look tame in comparison. Which is fine with me because those of us that know will still get to witness and enjoy so many warm and love filled moments. I can't wait to see them free to have fun together. 💜💛

We may be enjoying AYS but let's not forget, if there was a way they could have travelled on their own time without making a show out of it, they'd have taken that option. Just like they did in 2017 with their Tokyo trip.

AYS is the only way they could have been allowed to travel for leisure after enlisting. So we can enjoy the show, yes. But let's not forget they primarily did this for eo. I mean, why do you think there are so many damn cuts?! No seriously, the amount of cuts are getting ridiculous

does it make sense? I can’t grasp it, because it almost feels backwards. But really the gist is they weren’t free to meet up at the same time, a bit like what you said before about distractions. I almost felt that last year there was some self imposed ban on seeking each other, especially going to he others promotions, which is why when JK is free he didn’t go to music bank to see JM like Yoongi or on a show with him, or like Hobi to see the mv filmed, like they did it on purpose? I’m probably not making sense, but as in to lay low as best they could with impending enlistment, not that they weren’t seeing each other but not overtly or maybe not enough quality time?

Thanks for the ask my lovely. I've addressed some of this here but sure, let's talk about this too. Just like OP said;

Its been established JK had a hard time during FACE era. His boyfriend was MIA, he didn't see him much, it took a toll. A toll Jimin was very aware of. My friends and I were just talking about this and we agreed AYS could be a result of Jimin's guilt. Him wanting to make it up to JK. I also believe what happened with JK during that time was the reason why they applied to enlist together.

Jimin loves to joke and make fun and he loves to make us happy but he loves to make JK happy even more. Say what you will about him but he priorities JK's needs and always has. This travel show, we will enjoy the hell out of it and have a great time, but Jikook needed this. They needed this escape and if they could only get away but portraying it as work, then thats exactly what they were going to do.

So yes anon, you're correct. The operative word here is enough. They talked of course, but not enough. They spend time together of course, just not enough. They were busy, they needed to behave while waiting to see if they would be approved for the buddy system, and so they didn't get to enjoy eo as much as they would have loved to.

It's as simple as that

During 3D era JK said Jimin kept coming up to him and singing "pweuriri" clearly that means they were spending time together. In a live he talked about Jimin rearranging his lights at his home. Then just recently Jimin told RM him and JK drink alot and talk about music. I mean, these are just 3 examples and they sure as hell didn't happen via osmosis.

They saw eo, they talked, of course they fucking did. Think hickeygate. When it doubt, think hickeygate. They couldn't outright tell us what happened and therefore manipulated the truth or rather didn't give us the whole story. That has and will always be an ongoing theme with Jikook: a gay couple in the closet. Go back to that scene and watch JK during this conversation. At some point he does this thing where he's like scratching his neck but you can tell there is no itch. That to me was a sign that there was more to the story.

So just think hickeygate and go from there. There is more to Jikook than meets the eye...

Are You Sure?!

NO! I am not!!! What did I just watch?!? And I am not even talking about the episodes yet!

Yes, I believe Jimin and Jungkook are very close, and in my opinion, likely have a romantic relationship. So I was very excited when their travel show was announced because I love some Jikook content. But all I wanted and expected from this show was to watch Jimin and Jungkook having fun together before their military enlistment. Of course I figured there would be cute and sus moments, but I expected it to be no different from In The Soop or some Run BTS episodes. That was my belief right up until they started showing us the promo teasers...

Wait. What?!

I had already raised an eyebrow at the mention of GCF Tokyo. That already had me feeling delulu as hell.

I 100% expected Are You Sure?! to be a "bro" show, and everything we had seen initially fit that expectation. NEVER, in a million years, did I expect the official trailers for the show to look romantic as hell. I was NOT prepared!!! This was the first teaser that full on broke me. They showed so much couple looking content... I mean they freaking showed them brushing teeth together in matching PJS! And that was just the start of it. This is not what you would do if you're trying to play this off as just good friends traveling together. So what the hell are they doing officially promoting the show this way?!

I was seriously confused by that trailer. Like my brain broke. I just could not understand how this was the official trailer. That is what lead to this theory:

And the rest of the teasers just solidified that theory for me because they obviously went with "couple" over "bro" vibe.

Honestly though, I still thought this would end up looking like fan service and maybe the most couple looking moments were cut into the trailers to make the show look tame in comparison. And then I watched the first two episodes. WTAF?!?!
