Finished this raven skull knuckle ring in copper, with silver detailing, and set with a malachite cabochon. Finish is a little bit rough, but then we kept on fucking things up an needing to reposition joints. Which meant the copper got so heat oxidised that it ended up pitting. Still we managed to make the hinge mechanism with less trouble than anticipated and its a personal piece so we don't care about less than perfect finish.

Copper is a fantastic material to work with, though i love working in silver as well

These are mostly copper with some silver detailing.

We should make more jewelry out of copper, brass, and bronze. So much prettier than gold and silver

Eye of the Storm Kelpie

Fused Stirling silver ring, with a Lewisian gneiss cabochon in a floating storling an fine silver setting

This was inspired buy Corry Vreckan and the legends of The Cailleach, the hag that pulls down the snows of winter to blanket the Scottish hills. We wanted to make something evocative of the power and fury of the whirlpool of Corry Vreckan, as well as the storms that herald the coming of winter in the highlands

This may eventually be up for sale, but for the time being we're going to wear it close to our heart

Sleeping on the job! 🦭

Sleepy seal watches over your jewellery while taking a snooze. I hand-built this seal jewellery holder piece out of medium-grogged stoneware clay, and used a beautiful flecked high-fire “speckle cream” glaze from Botz. This piece was fired to 1250°C in my trusty Rohde kiln. What do you think of it? ✨
