[Image description: a digital drawing of iJevin, a humanoid blue slime creature in a white hoodie and grey pants. He is smiling, one hand slightly lifted and the other hidden in his hoodie pocket.
There is a blue border surrounding Jevin. The background is dark purple with a subtle dotted pattern. The image has a translucent white border. The watermark in the upper right, written sideways, reads: paradise-and-cola. End description]
I like shading clothes and folds, so today was a great opportunity for that as well as learning a little bit about how to draw slime.

…you know what, if these guys were playing magic (EDH?) instead of the HTCG, what decks do you think the hermits would play?
I’m thinking that Joe would play a blue/white flicker deck for some reason.
see several of them DO play magic, so i'm curious if they've ever said what they play? like, i know wels plays, pretty sure jevin plays, doc's implied he plays, ren was trying to get stuff from auctions for magic cards in the background of someone's stream at some point, it's a common discussion in the ttrpg channel in joe's discord although i don't think joe currently plays magic at the very least, etc. so maybe, somewhere, they've stated what decks they play.
anyway i think blue/white flicker is honestly probably kind of similar to joe's current deck's playstyle? the various "swap your active and afk hermits around" strategies are i THINK about as close to control as we currently have, as well as lead shenanigans, so it would check out.

okay so i havent been able to stop thinking about @sundewa 's empires extensions au, so here's a list of the hermits and their empires thats mostly sundewa's canon, but also my ideas for the hermits ae haven't gotten to yet
blue names are canon to either the au or empires lore, the rest are just my personal assignements
Rivendell
ethoslab: ice ninja who does theft legal business.
Grimlands
mumbo jumbo: i mean. have you seen him?? in charge of the count's deepslate redstone ore vaults
tangotek: have you seen him x2. would set up incredibly elaborate and dangerous games for the enemies of the grimlands and cackle maniaclly in the background as they played them
Crystal Cliffs
geminitay: lol
gtws: magic crystals go brrrr. also does crime totally legitimate business.
xisuma: this is one of two empires i can really see him fitting in. how else do you explain the constantly shifting species except magic
Lost Empire
docm77: ominous theatre villain vibes (also no shirt). also The Jungle
House Blossom
hypnotizd: bees and chill vibes
stress: flowers! collecting heads! what more do you want?
zedaph: chaotic sheep that definitely isnt responsible for the soot stains lol
Ocean Empire
ijevin: ngl part of this is just cuz i think it would be hilarious if he was part of the ocean empire's entourage and spends the entire time he's there getting on cleo's last nerve but theyre allies so they cant kill each other. also a slime in the water is funny to me. would he be a jellyfish or just a slime who Suffers?
impulse: s5 atlantis base, s7 water pyramid + guardian farm. also has the kind of playful 'mindin my business' energy i see in a lot friendly of sea creatures
xB: guardian farms, octodrop, assigned guardian hybrid by fandom
Mythland
rendog: has the correct amount of drama to belong in mythland. can play the hero or the villain
beef: something blood sheep something. also i feel like if anyone was going to have elaborate map art decorations, it would be mythland
welsknight: this is literally a kingdom of knights, its perfect. probably in charge of the two armor stands guarding the docks.
Gilded Helenthia
false: nice and chill and will stab u real good
joehills: moved from pixandria, happy to work the fields and read poetry, would probably fight a dangerous threat for funsies
keralis: there's a post somewhere about how helenthia is the bread basket of the empires and therefore would probably be one of the richest and i think keralis would be in charge of a lot of that infrastructure. also would make tractors for the fields.
pearlescentmoon: lol
Pixandria
cubfan: moved from crystal cliffs where he learned a bit of vex magic. now he dresses as a wandering trader and causes problems on purpose. also does a lot of overseeing in the dripstone caves
Undergrove
bdubs: funny moss man go brrr
Kingdom of Mezalea
tfc: this man just wants to mine blocks and be left in peace
zombiecleo: moved from pixandria, goes on 'diplomatic visits' to the ocean empires and gets on jevin's last nerve. manages the joel clones
Cod Empire
grian: lol. also: cod face.
iskall: iskall took one look at the empire full of iskallium and never went back. the cod empire's redstone has never been better
xisuma: this is the other empire i can see xisuma fitting in. wet cat genuinely trying his best vibes. would be codsuma.

Weeeptide !! Hermit stream weekend was funny :]
[ ID 1: A stylistic digital drawing of Pearlescent Moon. She's drawn from the knees up and is joyfully throwing a trident. She's wearing a hoodie, a t-shirt, jean shorts, and a crescent moon bracelet. She's colored with entirely orange and grey shades. The background is light purple. End ID 1 ]
[ ID 2: a stylistic drawing of Jevin from the shoulders up. His head is a floating blue slime ball with eyes. He's wearing a hoodie with a sharp 'J' on it. There is a trident lodged in his head. He's colored in entirely teal-blue shades. The background is light purple. End ID 2 ]

I do not play dnd nor do i know much abt it (though i would like to start at some point bc it sounds rlly fun) but i would definitely like to hear your thoughts on dnd settings inspired by mcyt! - @crastlefolke
:D
Alright so there's the basis for lots of things in DnD in mcyt, either the canon for specific series or in fanon.
So, first up: player character species/races (can't remember specifically what they're called)
- Avian (Philza, o!Tommy, grian, e!Scott, quackity, Jimmy now? It's a common headcanon due to elytras
- Mob hybrid/humanoid (Schlatt, tubbo, Sam, docm, jevin, slimecicle, cod Jimmy, Fundy, technoblade, ranboo, I'm bored of listing these now but you get the gist)
- Human (obv)
- Demon (bbh, Tina, Eryn, sapnap, xornoth, fanon impulse)
- Fae (gem, Hannah, shrub, few sub-categories here)
- Undead (Cleo, zloy)
You could also add elf for e!Scott but that's kinda standard so eh
You've also got a whole pantheon of gods available: dreamxd, noxite, foolish, Kristin, drista, Lizzie (yeah Ocean goddess she counts) yeah these are mostly from dsmp I can't think of any others rn.. watchers? Although they could be something else
Ideas for classes (new or reflavoured existing oness):
Redstoner, vault hunter, pvper, builder, explorer, miner,
And as for backgrounds:
- From a specific server/server location (an empire, HC area, dsmp country, hypixel, etc)
- Villager
- Hardcore player
Items? So many options. Boogey blade. Revival book. Rune blade. Pufferish of peace. Armour stand book. Xornoth crystal. Axe of peace. Blue. Compasses. Gem's wizard staff. Frost walker boots. Derpcoin. I could go on.
I have ideas for certain features as well, like three-life players would have some ability where they can put hp up from zero twice (for a cost of some kind idk what), boogeyman curse would prolly be similar to lycanthropy, so many other cool things
Basically there's a lot of lore that could be smashed together and played in is what I'm saying

Behold: A handful of screenshots from Xisuma's HC8 1019, accompanied by my commentary
SPOILERS beneath the cut!
Okay now that I'm beneath the read more I can express that MICER IS RIGHT!!!!! MICER IS SO RIGHT!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
he's literally just there. just off to the right. just vibing in the background. (of course this was already revealed in that one post from xisuma but i was still surprised cuz i am forgetful ok??)
The whole scene featuring Jeff takes place within a dream, which we can infer from the immediately previous scene of Jevin falling asleep while EX watches.
So. the presence of Jeff in this dream could mean a few things. obviously it means that he is exerting some influence over this conversation-- this whole situation. but what interests me most is that this is Jevin's dream. Jevin is the asleep one here. That implies that Jeff is present in Jevin's mind, that he's influencing Jevin, not just EX.
Perhaps Jeff got into Jevin's head when EX pushed Jevin into that green goo?
(Or yknow. Maybe Jeff just came along with EX when he entered Jevin's dream. Maybe this isn't even Jevin's dream. Maybe the dreamscape is shared between all players. Maybe this isn't even a dream, and Jeff is somehow now an actual physical presence in the world. idk i am but a simple joehills stan leave me be.)
More evidence for Jevin being influenced/mind controlled somehow:
Tumblr media
He changes colour. He briefly switches from green, to blue, to green, to blue, to green again. (to be clear, the colour on his sweater changes too, I just forgot to include it in the screenshots)
I'll admit that I don't watch a ton of Jevin, but it is my understanding that that is not in his usual skillset.
This doesn't look like the sort of influence that EX has over X, as there is no lightning, and none of EX's signature red. So I am led to believe that Jeff is the one responsible for this (unless Jevin is secretly part chameleon).
For context, just before this, Jevin and EX are discussing how they can expand their shopping empire and get more derpcoins. Jevin mentions that he has built some farms and that he has many valuable items. EX moves next to him and says: "Well, that is just perfect, isn't it? Greed is good, Jevin. Greed is good. Don't you ever forget that." (Midas's Curse much?) And that is when Jevin's colour changes.
Now uh. I have no idea what that means or why this happens or why this happens at this moment. I suppose that EX stating his (Jeff's) philosophy that greed is good could cause the fluctuation in colour. Maybe the blue flickers represent Jevin doubting this philosophy, this scheme? I really don't know.
(also just after this, there is a point where there are two EX's on screen. Maybe that just is an animation mistake, or part of his dream powers, or something that Jeff is doing. idk)
Okay uh next screenshot:
Tumblr media
So this instance of EX's eyes glowing is in line with This Post by micer2012. Basically, the glowing eyes indicate that Jeff is giving EX an idea. And in this case, the idea is to 'add some evil pizzazz into the mix' of Jevin's totems of undying, using magic to turn them into wither-shaped totems. The evil-ified totems will presumably play into the overall goal of exploiting the hermits etc.
My next point is a bit more of a stretch. this 'evidence' truly pales in comparison to jeff LITERALLY BEING THERE
Tumblr media
... yeah idk about this. I don't think that the reflection in this episode looks as purposeful as the one in 1013. But I thought I'd include it for completeness's sake.
And apparently, I'm just brushing over EX having dream powers. i have no idea if that is a pre-established thing or not. Don't worry about it.
In conclusion: MICER IS SO SO SO SO RIGHT!!!! OHMY GO-- (I am taken out by a sniper because my neighbours called in a noise complaint)

alright there’s a lot to unpack in ep 1019 so i’m going to take a stab at it.
this might get a bit long, so i’m putting it under the cut:
i’m willing to believe that the scene with jevin and ex is actually a dream, of sorts. the sequence leading up to it shows jevin going to bed, and then after a transition, him meeting up with ex.
this would also explain some of the weird things in this particular version of the nether- the clouds, and the appearance of the spotlight. (shown below)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it’s unclear if this is entirely a dream. ex is clearly in control of it, sure, but he’s also able to create the wither totems, which we’re probably going to see in the coming episodes. ex being able to make these meta-dreams is something he’s been able to do since at least ep 666 (the doom sequence is said to be one), so it wouldn’t be too surprising if this was no different.
jeff the minion/nightmare is also present in this scene, hiding in the background behind a lava column. his specific appearance shows the scar beneath his right eye, given to him by xisuma in th3pooka’s minecraft machinima series. whether this is just a funny reference or ominous foreshadowing is up to you. if you agree with the latter, then this would confirm that the events of th3pooka’s machinima series and ‘evil’s fault’ animation are, in fact, canon.
Tumblr media
and, working with this theory, jeff’s presence here strengthens the idea that this scene takes place in a meta-dream because of his influence over ex’s mind (demonstrated in ‘evil’s fault’). his title was jeff the nightmare, after all.
another thing i’ve noticed is that as ex tells jevin that “greed is good”, jevin briefly turns blue (shown below).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i dont know what this could mean just yet- doubt? influence? it’s too early to tell. probably potential foreshadowing. it’s interesting, nonetheless.

scrapbooking done right
Stress decides to make a scrapbook with photos from the Hermits’ childhoods. One Hermit’s pictures give her pause. Why the heck is Grian’s life so crazy?!
“Aaand... done!” Stress chirped, snapping her book closed.
Cleo leaned over her shoulder. “Oh, you finished your scrapbook already? I wanna see!”
Stress swept scraps of construction paper off of her modest kitchen table and into a nearby wastebin. Her shoulders hitched for a moment in hesitation, but she delicately slid the bright magenta book across the table so Cleo could snatch it.
“It’s not got any new pictures yet,” Stress said in slight embarrassment, “just the pictures I got from all the Hermits of when they were li’l tots.”
Cleo opened the book to the first page. “Are you kidding? Getting all those pictures took you, like, a month! I’m just surprised you put them all in here so quickly, honestly. Well-- let’s have a look-see.”
The very first picture was of Jevin, sliding down a grassy knoll on a trash can lid. Given the blur of the picture, it was safe to assume that he was going at inadvisable speeds. Beneath it was an image of False, perhaps eight years old, holding a wooden sword.
“Ooh, False was such a cute kid!” Cleo exclaimed. Stress giggled, turning the page.
On the next page there were several small images, all crammed together with stickers and colorful paper shapes. The page had a baby Impulse building a sandcastle (which Cleo certainly did not coo at, thank you!), ten-year-old Tango hanging upside down from a warped crimson tree by his tail, and an older Tango...
“What the hell is he doing in this one?” Cleo asked.
“Er,” Stress dithered. “He said he was, and I quote, ‘going apeshit over water on his first day in the Overworld’...”
Cleo snorted. “Figures,” she said, turning the page. “Who’s this?”
The picture in question was of a tall teenager holding a rabbit. He had a sweet smile on his face. Stress had, in a moment of humor, put carrot stickers on that page.
“That’s X,” she said. “His pet bunny’s name was Daisy.”
Cleo gasped. “No. That can’t be Xisuma!”
“I swear it on me life,” Stress said smugly, putting a sticker the tip of Cleo’s nose. Xisuma’s picture smiled up at the two women innocently.
“He’s so skinny in this picture???”
Stress turned the page to spare Cleo’s melting brain. Next was another page with multiple images-- one of Stress herself on a playdate with Iskall, Ren’s high school yearbook photo from a place called “Forks, Washington”, and baby Mumbo wearing a hard hat. The page after contained Scar playing with a lightsaber, Scar bonking himself in the face with said lightsaber, and a fifteen-year-old human Cleo playing violin.
“Cor, I was a runty thing, wasn’t I?”
Stress mock-scowled, shoving Cleo gently. “Even as a teenager, you were still taller than I am now!”
The zombie smirked. “What was that? I couldn’t hear you down there.”
“I hate you sometimes.”
“No, you don’t.”
Stress sighed. “No, I don’t,” she agreed.
Cleo laughed, turned the page, and paused. This particular page was dedicated entirely to Grian. The man had given Stress many photos, most of which were unusable.
“Why are they all selfies?” Cleo asked numbly. They were indeed all selfies. One had Mumbo in the background, asleep and with a handful of whipped cream. Grian was holding a feather. Another selfie contained Grian next to an unconscious teen wearing red and blue headphones around his neck. The teen was bleeding out in a bus driver’s seat, and the bus appeared to be moving. The same teen was in the next one, but older. The background was some sort of dungeon of Grian’s design; Grian himself sat in the control room. The biggest picture was a blurry Snapchat selfie with a guy getting stabbed in the background, and the smallest photo was another Snapchat where Grian was holding random loot and fleeing from purple-robed, bedrock-wielding deities. Neither Cleo nor Stress saw fit to comment on the explosions in the background.
“...D’ya think Grian’s okay?” Stress finally asked.
Cleo shut the book with a snap, not even bothering to look at the rest. She scoffed. “Of course not.”
Stress could only hope that the next scrapbook’s shenanigans weren’t going to be as... exciting.

If you dont mind me asking-
What does Jevin's and Wels' voice look like? I've always been interested on how synesthesia works (Is that's the right wording? If not, I'm so sorry-) and i found it really cool that you have it!
-🌌
go right ahead, ask away! and synesthesia is right, yeah!! sounds as colours is also more technically chromesthesia but they both work and i dont really care much dkfhgdf
jevin? i really expected his voice to be blue or green the first time i listened to it propperly but its actually mostly just... pink, so. like a warm pink that boarders on light red almost. its also like. prickly? not sharp, exactly, but it kinda looks dotty sometimes.
as for wels... mint green. which might have some part in why i like listening to him so much. i will neither confirm nor deny this fact i will also neither confirm nor deny the fact that mint green is my favorite colour djkfhkd. its also just... still. just straight up mint green with no other stuff to it. hes very good for just watching in the background

Falling
This is my (incredibly on brand last minute) entry for @hermitcraftheadcanons writing contest! Info can be found here.
Funnily enough, I was going to do whatever random AU/headcanon that doing /random on their blog would give me and it gave me, no joke, one of the AUs that @target-block and I have very much fleshed out together. The RVB AU inspired by this ask!
A little background for anyone who doesn’t know about Red vs Blue I’ll explain a little context: Impulse and Doc are partner mercenaries who were ordered to start a civil war that the majority of the rest of the Hermits are stopping after being dragged into it unwillingly. If you have questions about this AU, I’ll be more than happy to answer! And for any extra references, I used this episode as a guide.
CONTENT WARNING: CURSING, GUNS, GRENADES, FACING DEATH, FREE FALLING
Read it on AO3
Impulse stared at Doc, the few steps above him, in the middle of the painfully annoying and colorful soldiers. He could feel the mechanical eye underneath the helmet boring into his soul and it took all his will power to stand up against it.
“Doc? What are you-” he gestured vaguely to the group around them, “What are you doing? You were supposed to kill them!”
“No. No more killing.”
“What?” he asked again, clenching his fists. “What about the mission-”
“You said it yourself. Fuck the mission. I’m not doing this because I was told to. I’m doing this because I want to.”
Locus’ voice made something inside him crack, some thread that he didn’t realize had been pulled taut snap. A wave of unnerving calm covered him and he slumped forward, replaying the words in his head again.
“Alright. Then you can die with the rest of them.”
In one swift motion he grabbed his energy sword from his back, activating it and tossing it haphazardly at where Doc stood, watching him and Tango duck away from it. He kicked up the gun Doc had thrown at him and shot to his left, making the architechs scrambled away before bringing his shield up to deflect any incoming bullets from the rest of the group that had stopped his plans for so long. When Stress, Keralis, and Jevin had run away he lifted his shield back to where he assumed the first three would be shooting at him.
Bullets didn’t hit his shield, but rather something stuck to the outside of it. He watched through the blue tint as Mumbo reloaded a gun that he recognized all too well, and that made the beeping grenade on the front of his shield that much more terrifying.
“Guess we did learn a thing or two from you mercs, huh?” Came Grian’s all too smug reply that Impulse would have retorted to were his mind not racing to find a way out of this situation. He couldn’t just put his shield down because then it would just fall and probably detonate-
“Hey, Impy. Catch.” Tango’s voice cut through his thoughts and he looked over, eyes widening as a grenade landed next to his feet.
“No, wait-”
The grenade exploded, sending him flying backwards off of the communications temple, plummeting down into the clouds and to the inevitable death below. His arms flailed in the air as panic refused to let any Into his lungs. There has to be a way out of this, there has to be a way to survive this-
Suddenly, all Impulse could see was red. A horrible mix of anger and fear mixed around inside of him. It reminded him of Doc’s eye. He clenched his fists once again at the very thought of his old partner. He managed to grab one of his knives out of his suit, throwing it upwards as if it would reach up and imbed itself into that traitor's head. Into that mechanic eye that used to give him nightmares. Into that robotic arm that could easily crush his windpipe if Doc had ever gotten tired of his voice. Into that brain of his that had been so willing to follow any and all orders until when Impulse needed him to the most.
The knife didn’t get very far before it fell right alongside Impulse.
He bit back against the wetness that was slowly trying to fill his eyes, and the tightness in his throat that burned and hurt more than the explosion that sealed his fate did.
“I care about you, you’re my partner, my best friend. But if you’re going to keep going on like this, Impulse, I don’t want to be there when you fall.”
He closed his eyes against Skizz’s words, the last words his old friend had said to him. Traitors. Both of them are. Cowards and traitors and liars-
He coughed as he choked on a sob. Skizz should have seen this. He deserved to see this. He was supposed to keep Doc and him straight. Keep them from going overboard. If he hadn’t left them, abandoned them, then he wouldn’t be falling to his death right now. Doc wouldn’t have betrayed him. He wouldn’t have started this war, wouldn’t have ever met Scar or Tango or Xisuma or any of those idiots that collectively ruined his life.
He stared up at the clouds that looked so far away and barely registered in his mind how close to the ground he was. He closed his eyes for a brief moment before refusing to go out like that, like a coward, like Doc would expect him to-
He ground his teeth and opened his eyes, turning to stare at the ground head on and take the brunt of the impact. If this was how he was going to die then he would do it with as much pride as he had left. It was all he had left.
Fuck you Doc. Fuck you Skizz. Fuck you Tango, Scar, Xisuma, False, Ren and all you other roaches that refused to die.
His last thoughts were filled with malice, and he distantly hoped that it would be enough for the universe or whatever twisted god was out there to latch onto and form into a curse or whatever it did. Maybe, we wondered, he could come back in another life and finish them off with his own two hands.
He smiled, the image sweet in his mind and he didn’t even register when his body hit the ground.

02 November 2018: Worldwide youth sports software markets are poised to achieve significant growth and enormous market consolidation as youth and recreational teams move to automated process .
The youth sports software is sold or given away free to teams, leagues and tournaments. Often a league will distribute the software to teams, clubs, or tournaments. Sometimes teams and clubs buy the software directly. A lot of youth sports software had been homegrown functionality bolted onto a stable platform. This homegrown small market software has basically become outdated, slated to be replaced with packaged, licensed or cloud software that is more robust.

The youth sports software provides registration and payment collection. The payment collection aspect of the software is sometimes important because it creates a way to collect a transaction fee that is used to pay for the software and provide continuing revenue to the provider.
The primary purpose of youth and adult sports team software is to deliver robust, automated process for the registration, scheduling, web site construction, coaching management, communication, tournament play, and video coaching that are needed to run a team effectively. Transaction management and fee collection are key aspects of some of the software.
Active solutions based on transaction payments are often available at no additional cost to the teams and parents of players. Transaction fee basis provides a revenue model that makes the availability of the app free.

Integration of a variety of technologies is the functional direction of market development as vendors seek to build out a platform. As companies try to build out specialized payment processing, registration, scheduling, and team communications capability, the platforms become very complex and difficult to change. The classic software problems associated with integration of different software modules begin to plague systems developers. The platform can include a lot of different functions illustrated below.

Youth sports package software often generates revenue by taking a small percentage of the transactions that are run through the software by the teams. Standard software licenses are also used to pay for the software. A third revenue model depends on an annual fee per registration. In some cases, the fee is $50 per web site and an additional $299 annually A vendor typically charges $2.50 per registrant. Custom graphics are available for $599 typically. Software license revenue is a market factor. SaaS applications are sure to emerge as cloud computing becomes more relevant to the software industry.
Several youth team software vendors provide web site design tools, other vendors permit users to work with a graphics team to support building the appropriate design. Most vendors offer premium features to make them available in high end web sites. This includes text messaging, team, and effective communications capability.
A very few vendors are specialists in payments processing. Credit card processing is an important part of running an team. The teams revolve around shared use of fields, courts or ice. Payments processing provides a way to collect the money easily, providing a base for the team.
Most youth team software is available with an initial free trial. This lets people try out the web site for an organization. The strength of the software is the player registration process. Other vendors have strength in payments processing. Still others specialize in the web site design. A vendor that provides the best registration software considers it the bread and butter for the company.
Communication is a more elaborate software requirement and that is being upgraded by most vendors. Vendors work to make their software customizable. Vendors permit users to ask questions specific to the league, they can add an additional fee to be collected during the registration process.
According to Susan Eustis, leader of the market research team that prepared the study for WinterGreen Research, “Vendors are making acquisitions to make the software able to provide a large set of capabilities. Modules brought in from different companies and developers are difficult to integrate into a functioning platform. Frequently functionality brought in from an acquisition is torn down and rewritten to make it conform to a platform standard.”
Market growth comes from increased benefits of organization in youth sports leagues. Travel teams and tournaments are in vogue. These do not happen in a consistent manner unless there is automated process in place. Automated process is just better for making a team function smoothly, eliminating vast amounts of politics. Shared resource is always a problem, having automated management is better. Once one aspect of the team management is automated, there is demand to automate all the processes across the board leading to plenty of consolidation and acquisitions in this market.
In a $9 billion U.S. youth sports market, the software for youth and amateur adult league teams at $1.2 represents only a portion of the total spending on the market.
This is a nascent market, there is no end in sight, markets are expected to reach $6.9 billion by 2023. Sports teams will continue to get more organized and depend on software to provide increased management efficiency.
