i've been reading radical suburbs (great quick read, i recommend) and have learned that NJ was really pivotal for sustainable intentional communities. Like from Stelton (an anarchist community!) that survived decades and the motto attributed to them by the author of "Work together, Argue it out, Children are at the center of it all" really fucking vibes with me. And how Milgram finished up his education at Rutgers (which also happens to include the remains of Stelton) so that he could work to build the first integrated community long before laws made it illegal to have "white only" neighborhoods. Idk, i'm just getting a lot more of an appreciation for my home state

Frank thinks Mikey doesn’t trust him and I’m honestly not sure he’s wrong about that one. Mikey was definitely… weird about it when I mentioned that he’ll be moving out to LA. And didn’t seem to trust that I was being treated well in Jersey.
