So the 1990’s version of Jeff/Gutter Boy is a vengeful ghost, right? I’m curious as to what happened to him. Was he murdered?

The 1990s version explores what could've happened if Randy and his gang actually killed Jeff.

During the early 1970s, Jeff was killed by the gang of hooliums and came back wrong. He was haunting the shit outta Randy, Keith, and Troye, but he couldn't physically hurt them. So he possessed his brother Liu to get the job done.

Liu took on Jeff's scars, even wore a similar jacket, and left a bloodied rampage against the three men. It ended with Keith, Troye, and Liu dead and Randy in prison for Jeff's murder.

But Jeff wasn't finished. Randy was still the last killer alive, and for 20 years, he roamed the community, looking for someone to possess and continue his revenge.

He found Nina the very week Randy was released on probation.

So what’s 80’s Jeff’s deal? What’s his story?

I'm so thrilled you asked!

80s Jeff the Killer is heavily inspired by 80s big hair bands and the horror icon Evil Ernie.

Lore wise, he would've been a notorious thug in a biker gang. Rumors went around that he'd slit his enemies cheek to cheek and give them a permanent smile.

He had been ambushed in the subways by a rival gang and found in the morning, wearing the same smile as his victims.

But death never seem to stop him.

People started dying on the late night train, turning up with a ghoulish smile carved on their faces. And if you were unlucky, you'd see their disfigured ghosts riding that same train.

That's how Jeff became known as The L-Train Ghoul.

He still has an anatognistic relationship with Jane, though how they become enemies is different here.

Now that I’m assuming the hotline is back on, there’s a frog? In my living room? I mean it looks and acts like a normal frog but whenever I’m near it I get a very ominous feeling it is definitely NOT a frog and also my dog won’t go within twenty feet of it. Is it dangerous and what should I do?

So this is something I can answer with some level of authority; what you're feeling when you get close to it is a prey drive; it's a holdover in your brain from when you were arboreal primates.

The same thing happens when I don't have my glamour on; people find me unsettling and feel a subtle sense of danger, like I'm about to go for their jugular.

In general, it's a good idea to listen to that impulse. If you can, stay out of the living room, and do your best to keep a wall between you and the frog at all times - those tongues stretch longer than you think.

I'm gonna see if I can get Seamus on the line for you and he can send out some Rangers to your location. My immediate guess is that the frog might be from a Fair Folk menagerie, but they'll be able to figure out more when they see it and take appropriate action.

Actually, let me check the toon registry; Michigan J isn't...no, he's in Canada, right?

Actually, maybe take the dog and get out of the house until the rangers show up. They should be driving what will look like a mundane animal control van.
