Your character grew up with Ronnie in Darien, Connecticut, to the wealthy Henry and Josie Bishop, and had a very cushy up-bringing. Their parents were distant and best at showing affection through gifts, not attention. While your character was definitely spoiled, there was no doubt that the family youngest, Ronnie, was even moreso.

Perhaps your character's relationship with Ronnie is soured. Maybe they didn't approve of her attitude or the way she behaved, or maybe they just thought she was a brat. Honestly, your character could have just been indifferent, too focused on their own life to really care about forming relationships with their entitled family. Maybe your character and Ronnie actually got along rather well in their childhood

It's likely that no matter what, however, that your character and Ronnie (and a third sibling! whoever they may be) grew apart, and weren't really in contact for a while.

At the end of April, 2023, Ronnie went missing from her apartment in New York, and, a few days later, a crime scene was found with enough of her blood for investigators to rule that she'd been murdered. Your character's family mourned as much as they knew how.

However, something didn't seem quite right, and, somehow, your character found out that their sister might actually be alive out there somewhere. Which led them to Lunar Cove, the last safe place for supernaturals in the world, and the most likely place to find Ronnie, for better or for worse.

BIOGRAPHY

Life in the lower district was never easy, and Teagan was only one person in one of many families who struggled to get by. She grew up watching her community get repeatedly screwed over by the Big Three, between subpar cybernetics that were prone to malfunctioning, faulty medication that led to chronic health issues, and class action lawsuits that paid out insultingly little, if anything at all.

She joined Citizen Uprising when she was in high school, having known from a young age that the only thing she wanted to do was fight for a better and fairer society, and that she was willing to dedicate her entire life to that cause.

Getting pregnant with twins when she was barely an adult was not a part of her plan, but between the other activists at CU, and her coworkers at the diner where she worked to make ends meet, she had a decent support system in place. And she definitely needed it, because while she loved her children dearly and wanted them to have a better life than she'd had, she didn't always prioritise them.

When she wasn't working, or attending night school to get her associate's degree, she was spending all of her time at CU. As a result, her daughters Kitty and Lizzie were barely able to have a life outside of the movement, since she had become a fairly public figure as one of their most vocal and visible members.

The spotlight on her and her family was amplified tenfold when Teagan decided to run for local office. In addition to intense media scrutiny, she received several death threats throughout the course of her campaign, warning her to back down or else face the consequences of her actions. She didn't back down.

She wasn't supposed to win, because candidates who weren't backed by the Big Three never won. But she prevailed against all odds, and while the support that she received was inspiring, it was accompanied by an equal amount of hatred.

Her daughter Lizzie was caught vandalising a Big Three facility shortly after she took office. Because of who she was, or rather because of who Teagan was, she was tried as an adult and received a disproportionately harsh sentence. Teagan was prepared to make sacrifices for her cause, but that was when she realised that when the time came to make them, she wouldn't necessarily be the one paying the price. But in her mind, it was too late to change course now.

She has fought her entire life to get to a place where she can change the system from the inside. It is the culmination of years of overcoming adversity, and while she does not think that her cause is more important to her than her family, it is more important to the world at large. She has worked too hard to get here to let it all be for nothing—even if that means that her daughters come second.
