So, I lied. Well, not exactly.

I'm still planning to get to some of these eventually, however this was all planned immediately after season 7 came out and since then I've changed my list of priorities.

Right now, the things from this list I'll be working on and the things I'll be changing about those are (not in order):

The Sir Sparklepuff coming back explanation which has become more of a larger analysis of the butterfly motif in general in the series and an analysis of him as a standalone character overall

Analysis of Aaravos's unique attitude expressed towards Viren over other characters

The analysis of Aaravos's apparent detachment from the physical world may or may not become its own analysis in the future, but for now I'll be incorporating some of my thoughts on that in a 3 parter series of analyses on both him and Viren and how they show signs of depression

The Viren video essay or just essay is, like, my biggest priority — but it is going to take the longest for me to finish so I will likely be posting these other things first before I'll share that

The two fanfics I've mentioned I'll be working off and on again from time to time and I don't have an exact timeline of when I'll be finishing those or when I'll even post the first chapters to either of those (sorry)

The rest I'm not sure I will do, or I'll do drastically differently then I had originally planned, or I'll just have to get to them after I finish these other things first.

There's also a ton of other things I'm working on right now that I haven't said explicitly online that I have been, and I don't really feel the need to right now, so there's that too.

Update! You decide my next project!

For the House of Glass I have decided to plan out pages for the entire story - normally I script the entire thing and only draw out and release a few snippets.

It's a two parter, and part one has 50 pages including the ones I have already posted. Part two is shorter and has more character stuff. So here's the big question -

So it’s official that NB will be no more once December rolls around. It’s unfortunate to see this happen but it was inevitable, I called it since day 1 that things weren’t gonna work out and I guess it really happened. The announcement of the game drove fans away, even after the game was released the devs made far too many greedy decisions that only drove current fans away from them. It feels awful to see a game I cherished fall off this hard, but that’s neither here nor there.

I’ll wait to see what Solmare has in store for the franchise since I truly do love this silly game. As for the future of this blog I’m definitely not going to abandon it, I’ll do my best to edit any cards that come out this month and from there I’ll focus on editing some old icons from the og game that I simply had no time to edit.

I know it’s not much but I hope you guys will continue being here to still share your love for obey me with me! For now though thank you for all the support I’ve gotten from you guys!

Well, looks like with a thin pull, Dolmistaska pulled a victory!

It is definitely an interesting case, Dolmistaska was asked to be riffed by the creator themselves, who is very open to critique. I've already heard from a lot of people that Dolmistaska is actually good. Hopefully it will be an entertaining palette cleanser we get in between all the terrible shit we usually rummage through.

Dolmistaska riff will begin next year in January taking Ask the Werewolves's spot.

And speaking of bad shit next year, I've already confirmed Dominic Deegan's replacement in advance.

Yuuup, if you thought comics with backstage drama were over, you're on the wrong path.

And I know it will be a long while before we put Carry On on hold, but I can confirm its replacement as well

I Finally Got a Job After 2 Years of Struggling!

After two long years of financially struggling, barely scraping by, and searching for work, I finally got the news I’ve been waiting for—I got a job as a Graphic Designer! 🎉

It’s been a rough journey, especially balancing college while job hunting with very little money to get by. There were times I seriously wondered if things would ever turn around. But I stayed persistent, kept learning, and just recently signed the job offer papers!

I’m starting my new role in two weeks, and honestly, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The relief is unreal, and I’m excited to get back to work and use everything I’ve learned.

For anyone out there who’s still struggling or feeling stuck, hang in there. It took a while, but things finally turned around for me. Keep pushing—your moment will come too. 🙏

Thanks to everyone who’s supported me during this time. Here’s to new beginnings!

Hey folks, I'm excited to let you all know that this blog is officially back! I've finally got the time to be here again and I'm excited to talk about reptiles with you all.

A few housekeeping notes:

Because of how long I was away and how many asks had piled up, the askbox has been cleared. Please do send in questions about snakes in general, reptile husbandry, whatever!

Please remember that, because of the volume of questions I get, I might not get to all of them right away! Please wait a week before resending your ask.

I'm a herpetologist but my specialty is squamates (snakes and lizards) pretty exclusively. I will not be much help with questions about amphibians, I'm afraid!

This blog has and always will be for reptile education only. It is not a platform for donation posts, current affairs and political posts, etc.

It's OK to ask me about husbandry for your own pet snake, but remember that I'm not a vet and I will not give out medical advice. My answer is always going to be "take your snake to the vet." I'm always happy to see pictures of your snakes, though!

Happy Lunar New Year!! Year of the snake baby!!!!!

Also, two Greenwarden announcements! 1) Greenwarden: Alpha is moving to itch.io at the end of the month, with the death of DashingDon. Same format and everything, just a new site. I fiddled with the idea of moving it to Twine but with everything I’m juggling right now it’s not feasible.

Coming in March: Greenwarden: Side Stories, which is a super secret project I’ve been working on. Side Stories are little chewable stories set in the Greenwarden universe, including old Patreon shorts! The Patreon shorts will be posted for free in the demo — other shorts I’ve written will be available for 2.99! All of them! This involves continuous updates!

Side Stories will be written in Twine and will mostly involve short stories, rather than choice-based content. This will also hopefully tide everyone over while I chug through the latest Greenwarden update.

Popping in real quick to let everyone know that the surgery went well and I'm healing up. Still don't feel like myself but it gets a little better each day. I'm still sore, get tired really easily and it annoyingly is making a few of my meds ineffective...so I guess there's that. 🙄The follow-up appt is next week so maybe we'll get that all sorted out by then.

✨ blog & writing & life update ✨

I haven't been here for a few weeks, but it was the best decision of my life: focusing on what's important helped me calm down and finish all the tasks I set for myself. My husband defended his doctoral thesis, and I finished my little book. The experiences and thoughts related to pregnancy inspired me to create illustrations in which I reflect how I see our parental roles: the characters look like me and my husband. Below you have an example of what it looks like inside.

My pregnancy is progressing well; my belly is already visible and I can feel the baby moving. It's a strange and magical feeling to know that there's another life inside you that's trying to communicate with you in this way. We still don't know the gender, but on February 11th we have an ultrasound where we should officially find out how things are going. We are so excited: if it's a girl, we'll name her Łucja (Lucy), and if it's a boy, we'll name him Ignacy (Ignatius).

My husband is suffering because he's sick and we're isolated in two different rooms. Seeing me pregnant has awakened a kink in him that he clearly wasn't aware of and he has to touch me all the time: not that I'm complaining. My libido hasn't decreased at all during pregnancy, so I'm happy to hear his words of excitement and observations about how my body is changing and how much it arouses him *cough* *breeding kink*.

Am I still writing? Yes! I'm working on a oneshot set in The Price of Pride universe, the one where Lady Royce meets Aemond as a child. It'll be a long, self-contained story, and a gift to celebrate my two years here. I'm writing very slowly, but because of the lack of pressure I don't care too much about it and I'm building it up into a whole piece by piece. I don't know when I'll be able to finish it yet, but I'll definitely publish it. I'm still on hiatus, but I want you to know that you have something to look forward to!
