UPDATE 8-30-24
We're so back.
Chapter 1 of Greenwarden is chugging along! Greenwarden will (finally) update once I reach a common route between all the different branches. Current checklist is Bar Route -> Library Route -> Summer's House Route. None of you are ready.
TKP and Erinys are also chugging along! Those will update chapter-by-chapter -- at least that's the plan. Depending on how big they are, they might occasionally update like Greenwarden does, which is whenever I reach a common point between branching paths.
Snippets underneath the cut.
[ID: White text on a dark gray background. The text says: "'What the fuck was that?" You could cry with relief. Bautista. He all but throws his gun into his holster on his way to you. His hands smooth over your neck and face until he notices the drying gash in your stomach.
"'No, no, no,' he sounds shaky. 'Nazeri!' You're starting to feel distant and wobbly, a mirage. Cold all over. Nazeri is still putting on a pair of gloves by the time he kneels by your arm. He has a thin mask over his face. It still doesn't hide the way his pupils go deep and wide and dark smelling all that blood." /end ID]
[ID: White text on a dark gray background. The bottom line of text is bright red. The text says: "You have to fight your instinct to run, wrestle with it until you can pin it down just enough you don't scream and sprint for the hills. You run through your Rolodex of woodland training. Coyotes are ambush-persuit predators when they're not scavenging. They're sprinters by nature — not like wolves or people. Skittish and easily startled, but stubborn. You might be able to make yourself not worth it.
'I see you, motherfucker,' you shout, puffing out your chest and raising your arms to look bigger. Your jacket helps. You feel like a great big stupid bird. It doesn't take the hint right away. If anything, it gets closer out of curiosity.
'Go on!' It jerks back. 'Go on, get!' You get brave and stomp the ground in front of you. Threat displays.
The second you bend down to pick up a rock, you realize you made a mistake. Between one second and the next it's in front of you.
You've never seen a coyote so white, nor one with eyes so blue.
You stare into each others' eyes. Breathless for a few precious seconds. What next?
What comes next is that it smiles at you. Human-like, with pointed canid teeth. The way its mouth moves makes you nauseous — it shouldn't bend like that, it's eyes shouldn't crinkle that way, and you end up making some kind of strangled gag noise before stumbling back.
'Go on,' it says, very calmly. 'Get.'
Doesn't have to tell you twice." /end ID]

Safari Version History
The fortunes of browsers rise and fall, but recent versions of Safari are looking good. With positive reviews in terms of speed and security, many have looked to the browser for an alternative to other tools they’re losing faith in. Is Safari as good as it seems, or is it still the poor cousin of other, flashier apps?
A fast, secure browser for all iOS devices
Good looks, security, and speed in a browser
Safari hasn’t traditionally made the top of the list when it comes to popular browsers. For many years, it was just what Mac users had to put up with, considered by many to be the price you paid for choosing Apple. Is that about to change?
Download Safari Update For Mac
The first thing you notice when you open Safari is that it’s a slick, attractive browser that looks fresh and modern. It takes its color scheme from your system settings, so if you have Dark Mode enabled, Safari looks cool. If you have Light Mode enabled, it will have a traditional light silver Mac appearance.
Latest Safari Update For Mac
Your first steps with Safari will be familiar and easy. You can do everything you’d expect: set it as your default browser (or not), add your favorites, import your bookmarks, and check the settings to make sure everything is as you like it. You’ll also have the option to import the settings and bookmarks from your old browser and the process is easy.
Safari has a few interesting features. It’s particularly nicely integrated with Apple Pay and Apple Wallet, so if you use these apps you’ll find using Safari a smooth experience. It also has extensive security and privacy options, allowing you a tailored in-browser experience without having to turn to extensions or 3rd party apps.
Another favorite is the Reading List, which allows you to save articles to read later, even if you’re offline. The Reading List also offers you a setting that converts articles into an easy-to-read, ad-free version which is great if you’re an avid reader.
Even though Safari was originally intended for the Appleverse, it works fine on other sites, even ones like Google Docs. Testing shows the browser to be light and fast. In tests, it’s not the fastest but average users won’t notice. The start-up takes only seconds and load time for even content-heavy pages feels fast with no noticeable lag. Being an Apple product, Safari also has excellent support and documentation available should you ever run into problems.
Where can you run this program?
This version of Safari is for Mac and iOS. You need Mac OS Sierra or higher.
Is there a better alternative?
Whether or not there is a better alternative to Safari for Mac is hard to answer. There are certainly faster browsers that you can customize more, like Chrome and Firefox. Where Safari is strong, however, is that it is built for the Apple universe. If you operate almost entirely on Mac, it makes sense to use its purpose-built browser. Safari is also good on security and for this reason alone, many would rate it ahead of Chrome.
How To Upgrade Safari Browser Mac
Our take
Safari is a solid browser that can match the competition on nearly all fronts. It’s attractive, reasonably fast, and does pretty much everything that you’d expect from a browser. It also offers a few advantages in terms of Apple-specific features and security, which is nothing to sneeze at. It’s not the fastest (that would be Firefox), or the most customizable (that’s Chrome), but it’s fast enough and, for many, that’s all that’s needed.
Should you download it?
Yes, download Safari if you want a solid browser that’s purpose-built for Mac. If you need more speed or move between iOS, Android, and Windows, you may want to look at Chrome, Firefox, or new kid on the block, Brave.

Hi from Maine! Happy (late. so late.) Pride!! And happy (LATE.) update day! I bequeath to you these widdle guys, which I spent a lot of time on in between other projects. They're also to apologize for delayed Greenwarden story update, because:
I've been writing a book! And I finished the first draft literally yesterday! I'm going to shit my pants!! Now that the first draft is done, I have some editing to do, which is going to eat up my time, but now I have some wiggle room to work on Greenwarden again. Check out this (raw, unedited) snippet from The House Loves You as thanks for your patience:
Next period’s bell is a shrill reminder I still haven’t touched my food. I put whatever I was reading away and dump my tray unceremoniously on the way out. The cafeteria is already empty — I don’t think I’ve ever been in a less busy school. Barely a week in, and I already know everyone by name and the general area where they live. It's more information than I want. Eventually, it'll be a new school in a new town with new people, then another, then graduation, and I'll get into a mediocre college in a different town and never look back. I'll figure it out from there.
They seem like small dreams — but they're what I've got.
I float through the rest of my classes in the back of the room. The bus ride home is unremarkable; my one saving grace is my license, but Mom has the car and we can't afford another bill, so the bus it is. Again -- the open wound is smoothed over knowing I'm not alone. I languish in the relative silence with a pair of earbuds in.
I'm the last stop in the evening. The bus rolls along, slowly shedding children like scabs, until it creeps nervously to the mailbox and gravel road that marks the mouth of the holler. It sputters like an anxious horse, shudders to a stop, and hisses open. The doors close too fast behind me, and the bus peels away in a cloud of grit. Finally, I'm well and truly alone.
The trees are tall and wild here, untouched by human hands. Branches knit together in dense braids and then part again, each gap in the canopy scorched by yellow mountain sunlight. The gravel road bends left and disappears into the deep shadows. Rocks crunch near-silently underfoot. Like they're afraid to wake something sleeping in the dark recesses of the holler. Even the birds speak in whispers.
I grab a few overdue bills from the mailbox and shuffle up the road. Mom's not home, so I get some peace and quiet for a couple hours.
The winding gut of the holler rips open in an abrupt hole, and beyond the hole is a clearing. In the clearing, circled by trees with dark trunks and tight branches, are a few rusted, dead tires, an abandoned swing set, some overgrown grass, and a house. My back hurts and my legs are sore, but I still pause at the threshold.
The house is an ugly sore made of cracked, peeling white siding and a sagging porch. Just enough timber has been cleared away to make a front and back yard. The roof seems to bow under the weight of the sky, all dark windows and missing shingles. It's a quiet house. It doesn't talk much. Not usually.
I drag my feet across the hidden flagstones in the grass, and listen to the sound of the screen door squeal open. Once I step inside, the house greets me, as it usually does.
Welcome home, Cash.

GREENUPDATE 12-1-23
Happy belated update day!
Chapter 1 is chugging along, including the terminus of the bar route -- the Bautista lovers will feast well with this one, methinks.
I'm also chipping away at the first chapters of Erinys and TKP -- as well as TKP's UI. Erinys is in a place where it looks really nice (patting myself on the back -- Erinys has become my coding Barbie doll for when I want to play in sand, which means it's slightly more experimental). TKP's is. Uhm. Let's call it larval.
The background texture isn't really the best for the font and colors that I'm using, but it's a placeholder for now.
On top of that, I have a super secret, super self-indulgent one-off project I'm working on that I'll announce when the time comes.
For Patrons: I'm still working on the Patreon shorts and will probably have time to get more done while I'm at my parents for the weekend -- as well as rearranging Patreon tiers and content to function more as a tip jar. Come next year, I plan to be a much more consistent with content updates, including early access previews!

Happy update day!!! I'm sneaking this in here super late for me (sadly I was away from my computer all day 😩) so any bugs that aren't immediately game-breaking will have to be fixed tomorrow. The new update is ~3k words, with players experiencing about 1500 of those! I'd like to have done more, but it's finals season and my graduating took priority LOL.
To experience the new content: go to McNeil's bar -> talk to the lumberjacks -> pick "Rough day at work?" -> follow Liam after he storms out. Enjoy!
CHANGELOG
Added some new content warnings to the CWs page: underage drinking and underage smoking.
Partially written the lumberjacks route at McNeil's.
Meet a certain wily coyote!! Again!!
Get weird about the concept of death.

Happy update day!!! A little bit of a bulkier update. I'm actually not. Entirely sure how many words, being honest LMAO. I spent so much time going back and forth finagling with earlier passages that I completely forgot to do that. We'll say it's comfortably in the 5k range. That seems normal.
This update allows you to experience the full lumberjack route, up until leaving the bar! Depending on how you approach your investigation/interrogation, you'll leave McNeil's either with a lot of information or none at all. And with a few more stab wounds.
If you play your cards right you can also ask Nazeri or Bautista to spar with you 👀 That content will come up next month!
CHANGELOG
Fully written lumberjacks route, partially written aftermath
Get stabbed. Again.
Added another secret easter egg (this one's for KC!!)
Ask Bautista and Nazeri to spar (only partially written)

Merry Shitscram everyone !! have backstory
Kaylen's nose is especially oily today; you can see her pores working overtime to clear the sweat out, hair clinging to her forehead from the new choppy pixie cut. It makes her look like a dance mom at fifteen.
"You're so fucking sad I get a charity tax break just for hanging out with you," she says, smacking your roller blades to get you to break. Doesn't work. Never will. And there's no ref to break it up, so she just stops, fingers tightening on her own stick.
The ands -- Kaylen, Aiden, Dylan, and some other douchebag teen from your grade -- like to fight dirty, but their chirps could use some work.
"Nice Letterkenny reference, dipshit," you say. "Are you going to play or not?"
You're barely out of face-off when Aiden comes from left and shoves his bulk up against your shoulder, trying to wrestle the puck away. He's not very fast, but he's pushy, and big. Sandwiched between him and Kaylen -- who is fast, but an opportunistic vulture -- is a disaster until someone from your team manages to help you out of the hole.
But Dylan has his legs wide open, staring dazedly at the powerlines overhead. You do some mental math, just as Aiden and Kaylen get distracted by shoving matches from your side. You're alone in the vast expanse of concrete and sky. You might have just enough time. You wind up, stick blade parallel to the high wires.
The slapshot you punish him with comes in front of a thunderously loud crack, composite hitting asphalt; the puck looks like a bullet. You worry you might has misjudged the angle -- it'll put a dent right in his shin, and you can't deal with that right now, not with parole chilling the sweat on the nape of your neck. But then it zips right between his knee guards, into the net, ripping a hole through the beat up rope. It's fine -- the goal is battle scarred with pockmarks from years of abuse.
And you win.
And that's all that matters.
Your whole team freaks the fuck out, slapping the top of your head, jostling you for good luck. They almost knock you off your skates.
"Fuck you, Robin!"
"You kiss your mother with that mouth, Dylan?" You have to shout to be heard over the sound of teenagers still raging. "Probably not, because she looks like a dog's shaved asshole. Doesn't stop me, though!"
You stick your tongue out and glide back down the pavement -- you'd snow him if there was snow, but alas. You'll make do with kicking a little grit onto his shoes.
"Dick," you hear him mumble, just as Aiden skates up by him to try and balm the wound.
"Yeah, that's probably why their parents dumped them on the side of the road."
Everyone freezes -- except for the ands, who just laugh, the four of them tittering by the net like fucking hyenas.
"What did you say?" Your voice is cold. Sharp. Violence hiding in it. Someone puts a hand on your shoulder -- you don't give a shit who. It doesn't matter. It never matters.
"Ignore him," they say, trying to sand the edges down so you don't get in trouble. Looking out for you. (In your mind's eye, in the present, you try and imagine what Bautista looked like as a teenager with her hand on your shoulder.) "He's stupid."
And they keep laughing, even when you shake off the hands trying to keep you contained.
Nobody's laughing when you break your hockey stick in half over Aiden's head. There's a lot of screaming, actually.
(You look back on it now with a sort of numb-feeling shame, clinically picking the scene apart. Aiden was lucky you didn't seriously hurt him. You had a lot less control in those days.)
Parents come rushing out of apartments, pulling kids apart. Someone has a t-shirt pressed to Aiden's head. Someone else has their arms around you, pinning your hands to your sides while you kick and scream.
"If your little trailer trash foster mutt ever comes near my kid again, I'll call the fucking cops!"
"I am the fucking cops, lady!"
You're only a little bit calmer when your dad sits you down with a long-suffering sigh, hands on your arms like you might lash out again.
"What the hell was that about?"
You keep your head bowed, heavy with shame — your dad doesn’t ever yell like he did outside. Doesn’t like doing it. Says it makes him feel like an ass; and that’s about the one thing you’re embarrassed over. Cracking your stick over Aiden’s dome was darkly satisfying.
You explain, agonizingly stilted, what Aiden said to you.
Dad lets that settle for a bit. Then, he sighs, hangs his head, and gives your arms a gentle squeeze before he looks up again. His glasses are perched right on the tip of his nose, now.
“I’m sorry, kiddo.”
“He’s a douche.”
“I know — but now he’s going to keep coming back.”
“Why?” You don’t mean to sound so wounded.
“Because he’s a douchey teenager, and as long as he thinks he can win, he’s going to keep coming for you. The best thing you can do is walk away.”
(You loved your dad — but he was wrong. The best thing you can do isn’t walk away.
The best thing is to make sure they know they will never win.)

Happy update day!! A decent chunk of content (~3k words), most of which is Devin-centric! For all the Devin lovers out there.
I've reworked the way I draft things now -- going for a fully drafted scene per day, instead of trying to reach a minimum word count -- which hopefully will encourage bigger updates. Or at least make me less crazy. Whichever comes first!
Sadly, I didn't have a lot of time to dedicate to combing through and finding inconsistencies or bugs, so I expect that I'll have to roll out a few bugfix/finetuning updates within the next few days. As always, the changelogs:
CHANGELOG
Completed Devin's interrogation scenes
Started working on the watering hole scenes
Added a new Easter Egg! Try naming your character █ █ ████ █ M ████ M█████ M A KĘ̵̢̜͇͚̦̼͉̘͙̔̇ ̶̢̳̦͓̥͍̀͗͊͐͊̍U S W H O̸͚͋̑͂̈́̚͝ LE ██ ████████
Huh. Weird. Don't know why my computer did that.
Started prototyping UI for mobile users. Testing is slow, but hopefully in the next few updates I'll be able to tick mobile UI off my to do list.

Update on Projects -- OCT 1, 2023
Late update but disappointingly I'm coming out empty handed. I'm not calling this bad news -- it's neutral news. I'm announcing this neutrally. With neutrality.
I've done a little rearranging and decided that one of the biggest contributing factors to my burnout was self-imposing deadlines on myself. The structure helped out a lot while I had a stable work-school-life schedule, but now it's just a lot of unnecessary pressure. I'm giving myself some breathing room by getting rid of the monthly game update. There'll still be a general update at the end of every month -- it'll just be more of a blog, most of the time. There are other things keeping me from firing all cylinders, but this is something I can actually control.
This also gives me time to actually edit what I write and make sure my content is 1) enjoyable to write and read, and 2) not bugged to hell like it's been for the past few months. I feel like this'll help my motivation a lot -- if I'm not happy with what I'm putting out, I don't want to let people see it, y'know?
As for Patreon shorts -- I'm putting a little pause on bonus content polls, since I have a backlog of shorts that I need to post before I'm comfortable taking money from people again. I'd recommend dropping down to the 3 USD tier if you're subscribed. I'm thinking, now that I don't have a consistent update schedule for now, that I'll put game previews on there for Patrons like I've seen most other content creators do.
Expect actual content to come a little slower -- but be more robust! Which is what I'm excited about; hopefully I can dish out updates that are a lot bigger and better written/coded and I can be proud of them.
#greenupdate#i shant lie and say i havent been in a hole for the past couple months#but maybe this and taking a few days off from work to reset will help#eventually gw 1 will get finished. im tempering my disappointment and my ambition. its harder than it looks

Happy (belated) update day!!
In this update you get to spar with Nazeri, and coming up next is Bautista's sparring scene as well as a super special appearance by a secret character. You also get to flirt with Nazeri for the first time in this chapter -- where that leads will be up to you.
I'm not entirely happy with how the scene is written, but I also haven't had a lot of time to work on it this month. Not only have I been working a lot at the day job, but I also accepted a position as an associate writer for an upcoming VN. I'm giving myself a little grace. We'll see how it goes.
Most importantly, with this updates comes changes to the Patreon. As of September 2023, the Director tier will no longer be available. I don't really feel comfortable not offering a lot of content for 10 cheevos a month, and the streams + Deep Lore Q&A haven't been successful enough for me to justify keeping them around. So only two tiers for now!
Tier 3 will reopen when Greenwarden enters Alpha Build, in order to offer Alpha testing access if people want it. :]

Belated Greenwarden Update and Changes to the Patreon
Hey-o!!! Technically it's still the 30th here, but I'd rather not leave everybody high and dry -- Greenwarden will update tomorrow, August 31st, after I've had some time to edit this month's update.
I've also decided that, since the streams and Deep Lore Q&A have been... unsuccessful, I'm dropping the Director-tier from Patreon until the Alpha build. Operative and Hunter tiers will still be available, as will Bonus Content and voting!
#greenupdate#thank you everybody on patreon for being so patient while i write that second bonus story#august has been a busy month for me#and story 2 is shaping up to be much longer than i thought#im wondering if i should go back to updating per-chapter for gw#since i havent been able to churn out an update im satisfied with once a month for awhile now#hmmm.. who knows#im making carrot cake and my kitchenaid exploded

Happy update day! Another small update (~1300 words) focusing mainly on the denizens of Warden. I would’ve updated earlier (it’s still January 31st somewhere. Probably) but my computer was trapped behind a cheval de frise of furniture.

Started the watering hole route
Added an Easter egg (CONCEPTUALIZATION [Challenging: Success] -- Try naming your Tracker Harry or Harrier du Bois)
Added a pop-up that alerts you the relationship page is updated whenever you meet Devin

IN DEVELOPMENT
Font scaling
Mobile UI and functionality
Return to last seen passage button
Prettier glossary page
