Seeing someone say that "Yuji shouldn't be awarded for his hero complex or cog mentality" is something I just don't understand because... he never was in the first place so I highly doubt he will be. It's how the narrative is written.
Even when he does save Megumi (and I'm saying 'does' because I can), it won't make up for everything that has happened and we know Megumi would be 100% okay.
On top of that, has Yuji ever actually claimed to want to be awarded? Like, actually been like "I deserve this" and "I deserve that".
The most this kid actually believed he deserved is death.
Yuji isn't a competitive person and he isn't prideful either. He's more mature and pessimistic than people actually credit him for.
Sometimes, I feel like that bright side of his blinds the fandom into believing he's so naive that he doesn't realize the harsh reality of the jujutsu world.
Like, when Yuji ate that Cursed Finger way in the beginning he didn't go "I won't die, I'll find a way to consume all the fingers and live!"
No, he accepted dying, questioned it, but decided that was his role from then . Not because he saw it as some fun game and awarding, because he caught on just how serious the situation is.

QUESTION: Who is your favorite character to write in Fire and Blood? GEORGE R. R. MARTIN: Daemon Targaryen, the Rogue Prince, is one of my favorite Targaryens. He’s very charismatic, he’s very changeable. You never know what he’s gonna do, what side he’s gonna come down on. Is he gonna do something appalling? Is he gonna do something heroic? He does both in the course of this, and I like that kind of complexity in my characters. I like people who have a little humanity to them. Because I think all of us have both good and evil in us.
Meanwhile, the House of Dragon writers...
RYAN CONDAL: I’m having trouble understanding it. We established right out of the gate, in the pilot, that Daemon is a fascinating guy, but he’s not Ned Stark. To me, Daemon is the antihero of this story. He’s a character with a real darkness to him, who’s dangerous and charming in equal parts. I knew people would be fascinated by him and latch onto him, but I figured they’d do it in the way they did with Jaime Lannister or Bronn or the Red Viper. I did not think they would oddly apply this sort of super-fandom to him and try to justify every single thing he’s done as being intrinsically heroic. It simply isn’t. It’s not the case. I see Daemon as having heroic aspects to him, and I understand why people would. I mean, he’s incredibly charismatic, he’s handsome, he looks great in that wig, he rides a dragon, he has a cool sword. I totally get it. But if you’re looking for Han Solo, who’s always going to do the right thing in the end, you’re in the wrong franchise, folks. SARA HESS: He’s become Internet Boyfriend in a way that baffles me. Not that Matt isn’t incredibly charismatic and wonderful, and he’s incredible in the role. But Daemon himself is… I don’t want him to be my boyfriend! I’m a little baffled how they’re all, “Oh, daddy!” And I’m just like: “Really?” How — in what way — was he a good partner, father or brother — to anybody? You got me. He ain’t Paul Rudd.

You see, Eremika doesn't have an explicit explanation from the author like Eruri has. Sometimes I think you people wouldn't be able to understand eruri too if answers guidebook didn't exist.
Chill Anon, I'm not disputing that Eremika is canon. Isayama was perfectly explicit on that front. Also enough with this "you people" business.

Why do people try to police what others like on here? You can censor tags, use it! Don't like a ship? Censor the tag. Boom, done. Don't try to police what other people ship.
Why is this such a hard concept to grasp?!

I had no clue that the word "fraud" was being tossed around so loosely in the animanga community (or just in general) until these past couple of days.
Just watched a video and this dude was reacting to a list of "who's the biggest fraud", right?
Tell me why Rengoku and Gojo were on the list?
The dude reacting to the post was right to say it was a wack ass list.
He had a brilliant point saying "just because someone loses a fight, doesn't mean they're a fraud". Yep, I agree.
I'll use Gojo, for example. Now, I seen a lot of people (anime videos) have been calling him a fraud because of the first fight he had with Toji (and Sukuna, but I'll avoid talking about that).
How is he a fraud because he lost to Toji?
Yes, he is considered the strongest... but keep in mind of several factors.
One, GOJO WAS STILL A LEARNING STUDENT. Before that fight, we saw he hadn't mastered Red yet!
Two, Toji was a kind of fighter Gojo, Geto and a lot of other people in their line of experience probably haven't faced before. Toji didn't have cursed energy. Before him, Gojo faced curses and curse users. He had no experience against someone like Toji. He even said during their fight how he couldn't detect him.
Three, Toji also wore Gojo down before then. That bounty was placed for Gojo to always be on alert for two days until they made it to Jujutsu High. Toji had a plan to deal a teenager he had animosity towards since he was six years old.
I wouldn't even call Gojo a fraud for the simple fact, he ain't faking it when he fights. Again, he is considered the strongest. And it's not like Toji got away with it. Come on, now. We all know Gojo turned that man in the Apple logo.
I still can't believe they had Rengoku on that list. Him? A fraud? He held his own against Akaza!! Even got praised during the fight!
A fraud wouldn't be complimented like that!
Like damn, it's been a while since I watched Demon Slayer but if I remember correctly, Rengoku ain't faking his abilities. He was a capable fighter. We all saw it! We all those beautiful ass flames!!
HIM?! RENGOKU?! A FRAUD?!
I swear, it seems to me that "fraud" is another one of those words that needs to be put on the list of words that have lost meaning due to being tossed around like a damn football.
I thought "fraud" meant "fake".
Last time I checked, Gojo and Rengoku didn't fake their abilities and then got exposed for faking said abilities.
