"Pass me the ribbon?" Eddie requests as he weaves the last few strands of Jee-Yun's hair into place.

Buck reaches for the yellow silk and hands it to Jee, who hands it to Eddie with a bubbling excitement.

"Thank you, princesa," Eddie tells her sweetly, and Buck's insides melt.

"You'd make such a good girldad," Buck blurts.

Eddie falters. Something warm flickers across his face before he looks up. Meets Buck's gaze. "So would you," Eddie says, so earnest.

Buck ducks his head on instinct. Bites his lip and sighs. "Maybe someday," he says, picturing it. Him and Eddie — their daughter.

"Yeah," Eddie says, eyes impossibly soft and— full of hope as they catch on Buck, "maybe someday."

8x07 Hotshots

Cop!Athena remains my least favourite Athena. They almost always go too deep into copaganda territory when the story visits the police station. I do like the idea of her as a training officer, though. And I like her scenes with Elaine. And we also got a great Athena and Hen scene. Those are always a treat and a half.

Could have gone without Gerrard and his shit. But Bobby and Brad are a delight. We do need a little levity on the show from time to time and this episode mostly delivered. The ending especially, was wonderful.

We also got a Buck and Jee scene but it was too short. We need more and longer. Hell, throw in the rest of the kids too. This break up made him look even better than he did the whole season. And I loved how everyone discouraged him from reaching to not-so-sexy lamp. And we got carefree Eddie as a treat. That was so great to see as well. I wonder what Buck baked for him.

And I loved the Buckley-Han hug. Oliver dwarfed Kenny and Jen so adorably.

I'm really curious where this will lead and how long it will take. But all in all, not a bad episode. Great acting, great stunts, solid pacing. What's not to like.

And we got little Sam all grown up as a cherry on top.
