It was a stupid dare Mordred forced upon you. Being the reckless mage you were, you obviously agreed with little hesitation. You have defeated countless singularities and lost belts. So of course you couldn't just back down from a little dare like that, even if it meant finding yourself on the other end of Jeanne's wrath. It can't be that bad… right? If everything goes wrong, you still had your command spells. Even if you'd rather not have to explain why you used one to the Director.

But now it was probably too late for second-guessing anyway. You could see Jeanne with her back turned to you talking to Andersen and Shakespeare. None of them noticed your arrival, being too engrossed in their conversation about German tales.

You take a deep breath before approaching the group.

"Jeanne!", you call out, so she will know it is you, before already slightly embracing her and placing a kiss upon her cheek.

You hoped Jeanne would be too caught of guard to react, which actually seemed to be the case until...

"How dare you, you dummy!!! La Grondement--"

You've never run faster in your life as you try to get away before Jeanne's Noble Phantasm pulverizes you.

Okita Souji:

Does not know how to react.

Okita has no idea about romance and such so it went right over her head what your show of affection could imply.

You thought it would be a fun idea to surprise Okita with a kiss on the cheek to see how she would react.

You begin to search for her. It didn't take you long to spot her together with a few other Servants of the Saber class discussing swordsmanship.

As always, Okita's expression was neutral. You took the chance and approached her. A second later you had scooped her up and gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek before setting her down again and walking away as if nothing happened, leaving the other servants rather flabbergasted to what the hell just happened, while Okita stood there with a very confused expression.

She turns to her fellow servants. "Was that Masters way of showing our friendship?", she asks, causing some Servants to facepalm at her obviousness and others to snicker in amusement.

Jalter would, accept she'd be claiming it's all your idea and call you a nerd a whole time. Going to an anime convention is the one time you can convince Jinako to go outside without much hassle. Osakabehime too. Except she already new about the event and has a cosplay ready. Did she make one for you too? Yes. Does she ever explain how she managed to get your measurements. No. But for some strange reason you suspect Kiyohime might have something to do with it... given that the costume is of a princely character. Vanitas doesn’t really believe in birthdays or Christmas.

Existence isn’t a reason to celebrate, and the holiday is just another day for him.

He would of course share this perspective with MC and be shocked, trying to double back, when they look crushed.

He didn’t mean that they were pointless. Just that birthday were stupid. Not that they were stupid. Gaaahh!

Would sulk on his own for a few days but then get them a present of a book or small piece of jewelry they could keep with them in their travels. Perhaps a necklace with a similar stone to his earring.

Like Vanitas, she really doesn’t see the importance in birthdays or Christmas.

Her life was dedicated to wars & bloodshed. That is no place for sentimentality.

Since meeting Luca, whoever, she has come to realize that these dates are important to people and should be shared with loved ones.

Still incredibly bashful about her feelings, Jeanne would ask them out on a date to go shopping and spend the day together. As time is more important than possessions.

She would loosen up through out the day and become livelier & cheerful. Perhaps she might even be bold even for hold MC’s hand as they stroll along the wintery Seine.

Noe

Contrary to the others, Noé is very into birthdays and Christmas.

All holidays should be celebrated. And a day that is 2-in-1 should be a big blow out.

(VNC) Beach Headcanons

Here we are! I got caught up on the new VNC chapters and I am SO glad we are back in the present time. As much as I like lore and flashback chapters, I wanted to see Vanitas and Noé again. Either way, I hope you enjoy this set of headcanons. Also, spoilers for everyone who hasn't caught up with the manga yet! ~~~ Vanitas With all the scars on his body, Vanitas is highly uncomfortable with regular swimwear. Instead, he pulls up to the beach in shorts and a basic t-shirt or button-up shirt. The guy doesn't like the heat at all, so he spends most of his time in the shade or at the cocktail bar, complaining about the hot weather. Maybe he collects a few shells or goes knee-deep into the water (after some convincing from Jeanne), but other than that, he spends his time in a more relaxed way. ...unless someone brings water guns with them, in which case, there's a war and no one can stop him. Noé

Noé probably got dragged to the beach by Domi. Now that they're there though, he's really enjoying it. Splashing around in the water, taking a few breaks here and there to check on the others and drink something...maybe he lets Luca bury him in the sand. Noé is just like an excited puppy: he runs around, swims really far away, then comes back and shows the others the cool stuff he found in the sea or at the beach. Domi finds it adorable. He would have so much fun with a water gun. The first use of it would be to annoy Vanitas and get him out of the shade. Domi She is rocking some really fancy swimwear. Even though she mostly sits at the bar, she will stand up and check out the cool crab Noé found on the other side of the beach, or go and collect some shells with Jeanne. Maybe she tries to build sandcastles with Luca, but fails miserably. She'd definitely help him with burying Noé in the sand though. Most people at the beach are amazed at her outfit, so they offer to buy her drinks. Vanitas, who sits right next to her at the bar, takes advantage of that. She helps Luca with sandcastles and burying Noé, always keeping an eye on him to make sure he's fine. But that doesn't stop her from having fun too!
