I'll never ship but, but I DO love that this is the titular moment where Wolverine falls in love with Jean.

Before this he was very ambivalent to her, but in this issue (X-Men #100, 1976) she tells him off and after that he's 😍.

...she also transforms into Phoenix and is a bad ass until she becomes Dark Phoenix - which is all people seem to focus on. 🙄

Phoenix by herself was so cool. Wish people focused on that more.

thinking about how if jean was a girl dad, he would be so dedicated to being just that.

like the amount of dresses and tutus, barbie heels and doll sets would increase every week to the point where his own daughter would have to tell him “don’t you think this is a lot daddy?” with a slight frown.

“you think so?” he’d stop the shopping cart and look at it. “but you picked everything out.” he looked at his daughter as she played with the hair of the doll she held.

“i only picked this out.” she giggled while holding up the only doll that caught her eye.

“ah… right…” he pursed his lips together with a slight frown.

his daughter would just be his own princess, taking care of her in every way, even if she didn’t need it.

“can i have mcdonald’s?” she’d ask at 3AM. and sure, it was late, the nearest mcdonald’s was closed, but he still found a way.

“jean, where are you with our daughter?” you called his phone to figure out where he could possibly be at this time of night.

“uh.. she’s in the play place.”

you sat up in your bed with a frown. “of… of mcdonald’s?”

“we got the munchies babe.”
