on break rn dont mind me just trying to rmb pre Malevolent stuff

emily was the one that arthur met in his memory-dream from the start of part 19. right

sarah wrote to anna that henry made a sacrifice. sarah also wrote antoine "ruined emily's life". then, frank in the dreamlands told henry in his letter that he'd fulfill his promise to find emily and get them back home. a bit of a leap but its reasonable to think emily was henry's sacrifice for Shub-Niggurath

and the results from the portal opening in henry's basement (58 pelican lane) were

king in yellow trapped inside a book

henry and antoine dead? (skeletons from 2 people in the basement)

frank underhill missing (and, if emily was present during the ritual, she was probably gone as well since sarah and anna were the only ones found afterwards)

then, 10 years later

emily was reported missing, arthur & parker took the case in

someone told them about emily's bike outside of 58 pelican lane. they went there to investigate

still on the same day, emily was found dead in a field (john admitted he was the one who killed her in part 18. he also made a comment on how she was too difficult to manipulate. as in, she has some sort of barrier/preventive thing - much like arthur who probably wouldnt be affected by the monster from the lake because he couldnt see - or she did something to john that actually made it difficult for him to control her.)

KIY's book, which was still left in the basement where the ritual took place 10 years ago, apparently got to jd ackerman (through emily?)

a week after emily's missing report, arthur got & read KIY's book (although presumably meant for roland cummings instead)

the podcast up to part 5

sarah found dead, killed by something that, according to john, wasn't KIY (maybe his servant, maybe something else entirely?)

between those 10 years, there is the possibility that emily survived and ran away, or got sent into the dreamlands and found her way back. lorick did say he was put in the prison pits for helping someone from arthur's world escape.

but: who reported her missing? a relative she lived with? or could it be someone who knew she was out of the dreamlands and wanted to find her quick. might be the same anonymous tip that reported her dead in the field.

but why did she went to 58 pelican lane? maybe to find the book, sure, but then where did she bring it to, right away to JDA or roland cummings's address? (also how old was she to remember who the PI from 10 years ago had been...)

Historia's blue eyes glared in envy as You sat next to Eren

you'd just got done with practice, sitting on the uncomfy black chairs as you panted.

he was on his phone and you were chugging your water bottle while leaning over to see what he was doing

he leaned into you so you'd be able to see the shitty tiktok's he was giggling about like a little boy

you've always been close with Eren, but, even more now -suppose that's what happens when you're practicing in a small room all day. especially when Eren's assigned role happens to be the love interest for you

You were Veronica and Eren was JD.

and she made yours a living hell.

her gaze would burn into the back of your head when you'd practice with Eren, when it was over she'd immediately start twirling her blonde locks and talk with Eren

it didn't bother you tho, well, it kinda did. only because you'd try and relax after rehearsing for five hours straight just to hear high-pitched giggles and gushy compliments.

you remember one time she got really really pissed.

-flashback-

you yawned and rubbed your sleepy eyes as you laid your head against the wall

you were sitting on the floor of the practice room next to Eren

"tired?" he asked

"yep" you sighed

"well, we still got..." he picked up his phone, "thirty minutes left" he took a sharp breath and looked at you with a silly pitiful gaze

you groaned and rested your head against the wall once more and closed your eyes

"Hey, you can take a quick rest, I'll wake you in thirty" he said

"thank you" you muttered as you drifted off to sleep

Eren scrolled through his phone until he felt a sudden thud against his shoulder, just to turn to see you using it as a pillow

'cute' he thought with a stupid grin on his face just to shyly lay his head on top of yours to rest as well.

little did you both know, a certain someone was watching

and that certain someone was pissed.

thirty-five minutes later -your human alarm clock fell asleep- you were packing up to go home when Historia was yapping with her friends obnoxiously loud

"he is literally so perfect for you Hiso" Hitch said while slurping up her water

"really? I don't know..." she said in an innocent voice

"'You don't know?' he absolutely wants you girl. do you see the way he looks at you?" Hitch snorted

"Eren's desperate for you"

your brows furrowed, confused as this was the first of you hearing about this.

you shrugged it off as maybe Eren does have a thing for Historia, he never really talked about his love life to you so, why would you know?

why would you care?

you told yourself, knowing you did in fact care, maybe even a little too much but you never looked further into it. you're just, really good friends. friends that care about each other

"Hitch! you're being too much!" she giggled

"No seriously, you should get his number" she suggested

"Heh, I already have it" she said in a hushed flirty tone as her lips wore a smirk

after realizing you had no more items to pack, you toss the bag over your shoulder and walked out of the room

you had an unsettling sickly feeling in your chest.

you tried to brush it off but to no use, just the words Historia said repeating in your head.

you tried to bury the feeling of rage and sorrow that grew in you at the thought of Historia wanting to be with Eren, just the idea made you scoff.

"wait up!" you heard a familiar voice call out, you turn to see Eren running down the hall with his hair down as it drifted through the wind

"Hey," he said in a breathy tone as you giggled at his eagerness

"Hey" you responded

"Ready to go? I can walk you to your car"

"sure and, thank you" you smiled, not taking any notice to the swirl of crimson suddenly painting his cheeks

by time he walked you to your car you have long forgotten the little whispers of  Historia and Hitch's conversation, along with the weird fleeings that were swirling in your chest, chalking it up to be you worrying about a friend.

because that's all that you were, right?

a worried friend.

@the-memoirs-of-a asked for my Eruris at the Mardi Gras...I have literally NO idea about the Mardi Gras because around here we have Fasching/Fasenacht/Karneval which has very different traditions but we talked about this so I think this might be about right ;)

Anyway, Levi is a bit possessive about his princess and even though Dorkwin didnt see too much of the parade he had a very pleasant holiday. HUEHUEHUE.

I bet Erwin would be the kind of person who stops everything he’s doing because no one else is there to play Just Dance with you. And after playing it he’d start playing it a lot because what a lovely game it is.

He wouldn’t give up even though songs like Rasputin are hard to get perfect score. He’d still fucking play that song and maybe even sing along because damn that one is catchy.

Of course Erwin would introduce Levi to the game. The first song they play together (after asking several times until Levi finally decides to give it a try) would be something like William Tell Overture because the moves are ridiculous and he enjoys seeing Levi do something as silly as that. Even to the point where Levi is screaming Erwin to “not fucking jump on to his back because he’s too heavy big ass tree”.

Also Levi would consider taking the game away and hiding it from him after surprising Erwin play Chiwawa. Erwin of course has no shame because the game is so much fun and it’s a good workout. 

Though in the end, Levi ends up finding the game as enjoyable as Erwin does. Even to the point where Erwin is the one who surprises Levi in the middle of Timber. 

Levi would be better in the game but together they have so much fun with it.

SHoP's supertall skyscraper 9 DeKalb becomes tallest building in Brooklyn

A 73-storey supertall skyscraper designed by SHoP Architects that is currently under construction has become the tallest building in Brooklyn, New York.

Called 9 DeKalb, the tower reached 721 feet (220 metres) last week, the JDS Development Group announced on Instagram.

It has overtaken Kohn Pedersen Fox's 720-foot-high (219 metres) Brooklyn Point as the tallest building in Brooklyn.

When complete, 9 DeKalb will be 1,066 feet tall (325 metres) and become the first supertall in New York that's not in Manhattan. The term supertall skyscraper is applied to structures that are between 984 and 1,969 feet tall (300 to 600 metres).

SHoP Architects designed 9 DeKalb to echo the Brooklyn Dime Savings Bank next door, a 1906 landmark building designed by architects Mowbray and Uffinger that is being turned into a shopping centre.

The skyscraper will have bronze, steel and stone facade elements to match its historic neighbour, which will be incorporated into its base.

JDS Development Group is developing 9 DeKalb in partnership with Ackerman Development. The tower will be mainly residential, with a mix of condos for sale and rental properties.

9 DeKalb is slated to complete in 2022.

Multiple supertall skyscrapers are currently under construction in New York, including another SHoP-designed tower backed by JDS Development Group.

Called 111 West 57th Street after its location, the 1,421 foot (433 metres) structure will have a height-to-width ratio of 24:1, making it a superskinny skyscraper as well as a supertall. It topped out in 2019 and is due to complete later this year.

The nearby Central Park Tower designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill is also nearly complete. At 1,550 feet (472 metres) it will be the tallest residential building in the world.

In Hudson Yards, The Spiral by BIG recently topped out at 1,030 (314 metres), along with the 1,011-foot-tall (308 metres) 50 Hudson Yards by Foster + Partners.

Almost always present was German paparazzo Walter Fischer, stationed in Hollywood and catering to image- and scandal-hungry photo magazines all over the world.

Fischer’s unique collection of photos takes us straight into the ritual chamber of the Church of Satan in LaVey’s infamous “black house” in San Francisco, as well as into Mansfield’s Hollywood “pink palace”. We also get to follow LaVey on excursions to his friend Forrest “Famous Monsters of Filmland” Ackerman, to Marilyn Monroe’s grave, to TV studios and back to Satanic weddings and Zeena's baptism at the Church of Satan HQ.

These were wild and narcissistic times in America. Few understood the power of media exposure better than Jayne Mansfield and Anton LaVey. Captured alone or together by master paparazzo Walter Fischer, this devilishly handsome couple made headlines that still resonate today.

The book also contains an introduction by legendary filmmaker Kenneth Anger, and forewords by writer Carl Abrahamsson and collector Alf Wahlgren.

Published in May 2017. New expanded "Mansfield Edition", with eight additional colour pages. Also included is a facsimile of the typescript of very last interview Jayne ever did (by Ivor Davis, published in the Daily Express, June 30th 1967).

JDS Development-led condo project secures $137m from Madison Realty Capital
