Bio 15:Judith Grace Garrick!

Daughter of Jay and Joan Garrick she was born with a connection to the speed force. Possible side effects were handled by Jay but she may be two months older than she should be. She spent her childhood training with her father and eventually was given the title of Kid Flash. Later joining the newly formed Titans and becoming IMPULSE!

Jay breaks through the portal, he stops and catches his breath while looking around. That was a long run, a fast run, faster than he's ever ran before.

looking around, this was definitely not the Star labs he knew, everything was so high tech and clean. His own looked decades older, dirty and janky in comparison, which he supposes he could be at fault for.

"Johnny, you son of a bitch, you actually did it" Jay mutters to himself, before looking at the portal behind him, which flickers and turns off. He frowns slightly, huh, guess that means he's alone now.

JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA  Formed in the 1970s in response to rising political anxieties, extraterrestrial contact and metahuman experimentation overseas, the Justice Society of America (JSA)  is billed to the American working class as the next step in public security. For close to a decade, the JSA: Jay Garrick, the Spectre (James Corrigan), the Atom (Albert Pratt), Hourman (Rex Tyler), Sandman (Wesley Dodds), Dr. Midnite, Starman, and Wildcat, all rise to national fame as bastions of the people. But the 1980s bring disillusionment with all forms of caped crusaders: AIDS, crack, mass incarceration, religious fervor, and a resurgence in the fear of nuclear warfare sees the JSA’s popularity decline as they struggle to meet the people’s needs. Bio 1:Jason Pierre Garrick, PhD!

One of the first “modern” Supers, Jay Garrick was involved in an accident where his molecules become unstable. Eventually vibrating in tune with his earth and the great cosmic energy known as the Speed Force! For 30+ years the scarlet speedster has protected Keystone city but has settled down. Now the husband of Joan Garrick and father of Judy “Impulse” Garrick. He teaches at Midwestern university as a physics professor and is a card carrying member of the Justice Society of America.

6. What is your favorite thing about writing your current muse?

Good question!

I think that, with Jen, she was an idea in my head I just could not hold in. When tasked with the project of ‘make a Flash OC’, I initially tried to make something completely unlinked to the typical Flash family. Since, honestly, I think the whole premise that nearly every future Flash is a decedent of Wally or Barry to be… lame. So I wanted to think up something with NO relation to them at all. Completely new character from scratch, that I make up entirely myself, out of total thin air (like I did for my Spider OC, for instance, connected to the base character but at arm’s length without being directly involved with them initially).

And then I got shown the marvel character ‘Cloud 9′ and my first thought was; “That would be a GREAT look for a Jay Garrick fankid.” And of course that’d be a complicated task to sort out, but the idea REALLY stuck out to me. So much so that I ended up with a bunch of ideas for an origin, personality traits, potential villains and storylines…that I shelved it. I thought the idea was too damn good to work the way I imagined it within a RP setting. After all, those things like supporting characters and longrunning storylines are a lot harder to do in RP.

So I put the idea to bed and tried to keep thinking up something new. And Jen kept coming back into mind. I really adored the idea, like, a lot. And even if I couldn’t do my perfect take on the idea yet, I could still give it an honest test drive here (again, similarly to my Spider-OC). So I made her, and here we are.

Now that was really just a long winded way of saying that I am very in love with all the POTENTIAL she has. I have so many ideas for her that I’m practically foaming at the mouth at the chance to canonize her one day (writing comics are my eventual life goal you see, a thing I have no plan to ever give up on so it happens). What I love about her… is that she is one of the best damn ideas I ever had, and she really inspires great ideas for the Flash mythos within me.

this is so random but i had this idea that when he was president of the Flash fan club before becoming Kid Flash, he and his dad built a treehouse in his yard and he called it his “headquarters” and he kept all his Flash memorabilia and posters up there, and then later he would just hang out up there after patrol or with Dick and Roy.

One of my OCs (thank you for this i looove talking about my OCs)

so this is about an OC of mine named Griffin Darhk, from an RP i’m in with @mistyw273. he’s the son of a pair of villains who gets sent as a spy to a school for superheroes—and things kind of backfire when he starts to reconsider his ideals. his full arc is still in the works but i have the gist of it planned out, and i really love him

• favorite thing about them

he’s such a laid back person when it comes to school and a huge troublemaker in his classes, but he’s actually incredibly smart. people tend to underestimate him because of his overall personality and he uses that to his advantage a lot. he’s really into robotics and technology and builds his own inventions and such.

i also really like his powers. he has telekinesis, as well as the ability to make people see whatever he wants them to (with some limits, obv)

he can be...kind of a dick. he pulls pranks on people a lot and sometimes he can cross the line between funny and hurtful, and he’s not really evil but he’s not the nicest person, either.

we’re not that far into the roleplay so i haven’t put that much out there yet, but one of the lines from a scene i started drafting was this:

“You were never my family. Family is supposed to look out for each other, and care for each other—all you ever did was manipulate me. I get it now. I don’t want to be like you. I will never be anything like you.”

QUESTIONS FOR MUNDAY – ACCEPTING

♕ Do you like magic!anons? Why or why not?

I liked them back when I first started RPing  on tumblr but that was what? A long time ago in a galaxy far far away? Even then I had problems sticking to them because they involved being really interactive with your followers and maybe your followers weren’t interested or you just weren’t that active with your mutuals. Also, if it was a joke anon that last like x amount of days the joke could get stale and you could lose interest in even writing anything. They were nice for shitposting but that was about it, but I don’t need magic!anons to shitpost and I don’t even have time to do them like I did in the past so nah— I don’t like them that much anymore. 

☢ Are there any ships that you would like to write for one day? Any that you wouldn’t?

Romantic wise? Halbarry again, I haven’t written that in a long time. In General ( non romantic )? Barry’s relationship with the other Leaguers, His relationship with Jay Garrick and the other Flashes, His relationship in general with Central City ( as both a CSI and Flash ), and of course his relationship with his rogues. 

I never want to rp romantic thawne x barry if that’s what you mean by what I wouldn’t. I would rather rip off my own arms.

✆ Other than RPing, what’s a hobby of yours?

Playing a shitload of video games, crying over said video games, and reading a bunch of comics. Oh! And just learning stuff. I used to draw and I guess I want to slowly start getting back into that but it’s a process, so I’m just doing small craft projects on the side and learning how to program video games. I’m actually in the middle of making my first game! It’s fun breaking code. 

❥ Has something ever happened for you to hate a ship? Why? 

I really, really dislike Linda x Barry from CW Flash. I really really don’t like Patty x Barry from CW Flash ( or even the Flash Comics. ) This is mostly because when I was a mostly CW Flash Barry blog a Linda and a Patty popped up that were trying to force ship with me even though I told them that I wasn’t really a fan. If I remember right too I stopped reblogging shippy ask memes on my blog at that point because when I did they would always send stuff and I was just– I was tired. I wanted a nap from them.

回 Which muse was the worst to play? Why?

Reaper. I love the muse with all my heart I do but Overwatch’s lore is a jumbled mess and it lives on basically headcanons while we get trickle fed anything from like two events per year. It’s honestly hard to write someone too with a bunch of fanon interpretations cause if you get something wrong you get the mob on you for not following their idea. I think I made his blog, made a few posts, get super high anxiety about it all and just quit. 

▽ Why did you create this muse? 

I was bored one day during my sophomore year of college. Daredevil s1 just came out and CW Flash started to air later and I was deciding between some avocado url I had for Matt Murdock and the alwaysxlate url I had for Barry. My friends eventually picked Barry so… here I am. I’m actually kinda glad I went with Barry, he helped me to get into DC comics and I wouldn’t be in this hell if it wasn’t for him. Wait… I wouldn’t be here… dammit barry.
