“I shoulda shot you.”
I got to Abyss today; it broke my heart a little. The Other Guys, on the other hand, is hilarious so far

OTHER NOTES:
Felger dismissively notes that his lab assistant Chloe is ‘good with numbers’ and that he was going to get her to do his taxes. The lack of respect is...so charming. Apparently, she’s got the hots for him anyway. Makes sense.
We have to see Felger’s collection of miniature figurines (which must be custom-made, expensive, and technically in violation of his non-disclosure agreement) as well as various other geek-stereotype paraphernalia. How would we know he was a gross sad nerd, otherwise? He also apparently gave his mother the phone number for his top-secret military science office, because FUCK non-disclosure and also security protocols, switchboards picking up incoming calls from civilians, etc. Who cares if it’s both wildly illogical AND illegal?! We NEED his mother to call so that we can show what a gross sad nerd he is!
This episode spends a shocking amount of its run-time on having either Chloe or Carter coddle Felger’s fragile ego. Unsurprisingly, no male characters are called upon to perform this odious task.
This episode is super boring. There’s no action until the last five minutes, but that wouldn’t necessarily be a problem if the rest of the episode were anything other than people talking about things happening off-screen while an incredibly irritating idiot bumbles around onscreen, having bleached teeth and inexplicably being both incompetent, and a quote-unquote ‘brilliant scientist’. It’s a really bad combo. Also, the above note about the coddling. Really bad combo.
Aaaand not only does avatar-for-entitled-white-fanboys Felger get the girl in the end despite treating her like crap the whole time (that’s the dream, isn’t it?), we get to cap off the episode with some wishful-thinking about Chloe and Carter fighting for his affections! So endearing.
Tumblr media
Yeah, so maybe if you’re living the gross sad nerd archetype to a T, this episode is a great time for you. If not, you probably get why it’s tedious as Hell when it’s not being plain insufferable. It isn’t TERRIBLE on the representation front (which is to say, it isn’t the least bit good, but it’s not smash-my-television awful either) but it is a lot of little things adding up, in the context of a show which is consistently a-lot-of-little-shitty-representation-things-adding-up, and at some point it’s too much, and it deserves to have its content rating reflect that. When Felger was introduced last season, I said that I go back and forth on whether or not I find that introductory episode irritating as all get-out. This episode is not one that gets better if it catches you in the right mood. It’s always rubbish. I am glad to say, this is it for Jay Felger. I only wish they hadn’t tried to make a repeat visit work in the first place, because damn.

Boston radio host ridicules Roy Halladay: ‘He got what he deserved’
Boston radio host ridicules Roy Halladay: ‘He got what he deserved’
As the baseball community continued to mourn the loss of Roy Halladay, a radio host in Boston labelled the former Toronto Blue Jays great a “moron” who “got what he deserved.”
Michael Felger, one half of the Felger & Mazz show on 98.5 The Sports Hub, openly mocked Halladay on Wednesday, calling him a “jackass” on the air less than a day after the 40-year-old died tragically in a plane crash off…

98.5 SportsHub hosts mock Roy Halladay's death, call him “moron” and “jackass,” make plane crash noises | Roy Halladay
Roy Halladay appears to be showboating in video before crash. Roy Halladay was thoroughly a Toronto Blue Jay in a way few Toronto Blue Jays have been. Michael Felger is not a compassionate man. According to one observer, who talked with TMZ Sports, which obtained the footage, Halladay was "flying like that all week.
Roy"Doc" Halladay, the beloved former Blue Jays pitcher who died Tuesday at the age of 40 in a plane crash. Newly released footage shows Roy Halladay performing dangerous stunts in his micro plane over the Gulf of Mexico shortly before his fatal crash on Tuesday. On today's broadcast of Boston sports radio show Felger and Mazz, co-host Michael Felger went on a long and genuinely astonishing rant about the recent death of former MLB pitcher Roy Halladay.Halladay was 40 years old and had a home in Odessa. No matter what he did, Roy Halladay had a way to win you over.
Roy Halladay's wife said she "fought hard" last month to persuade the MLB star to not buy the small aircraft he died in on Tuesday. The day after two-time Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay died in a plane crash, the Boston sports talk host took to the air to mock him.The 12-6 breaker could make your jaw hang. A month before Roy Halladay died in a tragic plane crash, he and his wife, Brandy, talked about her fears of flying and anxiety over the possible death of the former baseball player. Roy Halladay's death in a plane crash Tuesday prompted plenty of thoughtful tributes, a few less-than-perfectly-conceived ones, and then the terrible and offensive segment radio hosts Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti came up with on Boston's 98.
