Being obsessed with Danganronpa is NOT for the weak. I’m out here analyzing what Kyoko’s maternal grandfather’s name could mean.
In Danganronpa Kirigiri we learn that Kyoko’s maternal grandfather’s name is Tohachirou Uzuchi. However, it is all written in Hiragana, so it has no definite meaning when it comes to interpretation. I spiraled.
Uzuchi (うずち) is most commonly spelt (卯槌) but can also be spelt (卯鎚). They mean the same thing so I’m not really going to get tied up here. The first kanji is pronounced “u” (like ooh not you). It means rabbit, but rabbit is usually spelt 兎 and pronounced “usagi”. The spelling 卯 is specifically used for the rabbit in the zodiac or “Year of the Rabbit”. The second kanji is pronounced “tsuchi” on its own, but when put after “u”, the “tsu” changes to “zu”. It means hammer or the action hammering.
The Danganronpa wiki says this may relate to a Japanese myth, so I looked into that.
The “The Moon Hare” (月の兎) says that the dark markings on the near side of the moon are a rabbit pounding (hammering) something with a mortar and pestle. In Japanese mythology it seems the rabbit is making mochi or other rice cakes.
But, 卯槌 can also refer to this:
https://inoori.jp/nonoaya/info_ws_shiga/uduchi_ws/
An item used to dispel evil spirits. They used the wood from peach trees, which I find fascinating. We have another DR character who has ties to space, Kaito Momota, and “Momo” (百) means thousand. But, it’s also a homophone for the word peach (桃).
Anyways,
His first name is Tohachirou (とはちろう), which I feel is easy in the last two parts, hachirou. Hachi means seven and he is said to know seven martial arts, so I feel that’s a perfect fit here. Rou is a common ending for male names in Japanese. We got Rantarou, Jatarou, Ichirou, nothing crazy.
edit: Hachi means eight, not seven. I’m still certain that’s how his name is spelt though, as that’s the most common way to spell Hachirou and it’s still a number not far from seven.
So はちろう = 八郎, then what does と equal?
Well, when I type it out, 斗八郎 is the first option, which I think it very fitting. 斗 refers to the dipper constellations, another connection with space.
However, the kanji for rabbit (兎), can also be pronounced “To”. Seeing as both are extremely fitting, one being rabbit, the other being space, I feel that it can go either way.
I think I’ve officially lost it.

today i am thinking about post-canon jatarou kemuri having a flat affect when it comes to facial expressions because 1] autistic and 2] he keeps forgetting he's not wearing a mask
opposite of kotoko whose facial expressions are all practiced to the point of insincerity
#harold.txt#'you're thinking about the warriors of hope again?' I think about them every damn day.#danganronpa

Star Wars
Female ISB Agent against Rebel Intel Ex
She looks right at him and says, "Nope."
The noise from the crowd cuts off as if a switch has been flipped.
"What?" Jatar whispers, his eyes wide and too stunned for any volume.
"I said no. If my choices here are fucking you or death, I am picking death."
It was not supposed to go this way, but it is this way. Despite everything, she is a being of honor and purpose. The ISB adhered to ideology, but in the end they are pragmatists. Nothing is perfect, and when it goes to shit you have to take what you can get.
She sees the confusion as his carefully-crafted mask breaks. "Lil, I don't understand. You have custody of the kids. How can you die and leave them alone. It will kill your parents-"
"Like you ever gave a fart in a Tatooine sandstorm about my parents or our children. You are my mortal enemy, once my best friend and husband, who betrayed my trust, put me through hell, and made me wish more than once that I was dead. Now you want me to fuck you in front of an audience so that you can live." Lilora shows her teeth in something not a smile. "Didn't think of that when you gave me to the Black Sun as a prize, did you? And you also didn't think that they'd find out you were a double agent to the Hutts. The rebs don't want you back - you're hotter than an ISD reactor."
Jatar must be tired. The Black Sun can't even ransom him, and the rebs aren't picky about clean hands, but Jatar's way too dirty for them.
"I flipped on you, told them everything about you. I might die, but our kids are with my parents and they'll get my survivor benefits." Thank Grace she filed for dissolution on grounds of abandonment. It's a done deal. His family will never get to see her children with a notorious rebel agent in the bloodline. "So, since I am the one who chose an honorable death, I get to ask a favor of our captors." Lilora raises her voice. "I want to watch him die first - slowly and with as much pain as possible. For myself I want a Golden Nebula, frozen and blended in a goblet the size of my head. Please add one bar shot of mercyflower juice."
The Hutt looks at her and nods. "It shall be so. Are there any other requests?"
"A comfy chair and please return my body to the appropriate bureau. I need proof of death for my benefits to pay out."
"We will collect the bounties on his head, and convey them to your clan. Will six hours be sufficient suffering? We can revive him and begin anew if his heart stops."
"Excellent, thank you. Could you gag him? The noise is getting annoying."
The chair and drink are bought and Lilora takes the first sip. Not a bad way to go. Eventually she will just fall asleep and not wake up.
Jatar's gag stops his jabbering and Lilora settles back into the soft recliner. Perfect. "Please begin."
Anyone ever seen a fuck or die fic where they choose die???

Kamrunag Shrine from Mahabharata times
Enclosed by the snowy mountains, Kamrunag Shrine of Mandi is situated at an altitude of 3334 meters above sea level. It is believed that the Lord KamruNag wanted to participate in the great battle of Mahabharat. However, he was not allowed to take part in the battle. However, he witnessed the battle until its end. Kamrunag’s original name was Ratan Yaksha and he was a self-learned warrior. He practice by keeping Lord Vishnu’s idol in front of him and considered him as his master Guru. He got to know about the story of Mahabharat being fought in some far corner of Bharat and decided to take part in it. Brave and courageous he was, he decided to fight with the weaker party, which meant he was going to join the army of Kauravas. But his dream remains dream because Lord Krishan did not allow him to take part in battlefield. Disguised as a yogi, Lord Krishna appeared before the Yaksha. He asked him about his journey and told him about the hardships being experienced by wounded soldiers. Ratan Yaksha listened to the story and it strengthened his determination. Lord Krishan gave him a tough test to find out the strength of his arrows and said, “I will be convinced if you can pierce every leaf of that enormous peepal tree with thy arrow.” When the Yaksha was preparing his arrow, the Lord plucked some leaves and hid them in his closed fists. To his surprise, the arrow pierced even the leaves in his fists. Then Lord Krishan asked him about his guru, upon which the Yaksha replied it to be no one but the almighty himself. The yaksha could not resist and he had to offer what the Lord had asked for, his head. He gave away his head and asked the Lord to keep it alive until the Great War was over. The Lord immediately agreed and blessed him with the same, his head was brought to the Kamru Hill and today it is known as Kamrunag Temple. To witness the special ritual of immersing currency notes, gold and silver jewelry worth lakhs in the lakh, thousands of devotees visited Kamrunag Shrine. In Kamrunag temple money and jewellery offered by devotees is not deposited in the banks rather immersed in the lake water. This trend is being followed by centuries. The legends also say that villagers visit the lake and the temple to pray to the Rain God during summers and it is believed that only after prayers have been offered to the Lord, the rainy season marks its presence in the valley. Kamru Nag Lak Kamru Nag Lake has enormous religious significance in the region as the temple of one of most revered deities in Mandi, known as Kamrunag Dev is situated on the banks of lake. Pilgrims take holy bath during Kamrunag ‘jatar’ in the lake. A fair is held here on 14th of June every year. People make various offerings especially of gold ornaments, coins etc. People have been making offerings of gold and other precious metals and stones since centuries. Thus gold and other ornaments much more than anyone’s imagination lies buried in the depths of the holy lake of Kamrunag. Thieves have attempted several times in the past but without any success. I will imagine Jatar as an actual dragon and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
Everything looks really concise and organised lol. My story planning is spread out over many books, loose leaf binder paper and about 7 documents.
So Everybody...
I focus on all the characters like they're main Characters because I want them to be equally fleshed-out no matter their position in story
So... here's all their Story roles again [+OSP video 5-man-band terms]

Finn - Primary Protagonist (Leader)

Mukuro would be if she knew what a furry was
Chihiro
Mondo (same deal as mukuro)

Do you think toko would be a furry? I feel like she would either be in denile / secretive about it or would have been a wolf kid or something of the likes as a child but grew out of it
