warnings; fem!reader, reader w anxiety, soft, soft!jasper, jasper uses his gift on reader but it’s sweet, pure fluff! no use of y/n
Tumblr media
Jasper's rasping Southern lilt pulls you out of your haze; he can feel the rushing thrum of your pulse beneath your skin, the way you tense and burrow further into the comfort of the blanket that’s loosely draped over your shoulders. You're vacant, eyes glassy and unfocused despite the lively chatter of the Cullen house, the raucous booming of Emmett’s voice and Rosalie’s quiet scolding that follows as the rest of the family talk animatedly. This upcoming fight has everyone on edge and it’s evident in your stance, the way you curl up small on the couch and wring your fingers until they flush ruby.
"Hey, sugar," Jasper murmurs, a finger hooking over your cheek to draw your gaze to his own. It's a miracle he can stand to be so close to you now, almost desensitised to your scent, the warmth of your touch, the ravenous hunger that claws at his throat when you're close. Your eyes crinkle at the corners, carving lines into the soft skin when your eyes meet his.
"Hey, Jas."
His icy lips are on your cheek and you soak up his touch, resisting the urge to lean into it as you really want to, still cautious of overwhelming him. The sense of calm that washes over you feels artificial, the only indicator that the feeling isn’t quite your own, but rather the emotion that Jasper is weaving into your frazzled nerves as the anxiety untangles like yarn and dissipates. The crushing thunderstorm is reduced to small, sweeping waves that lap at the corners of your mind but no longer engulf it.
You accept the feeling regardless of its origin, your muscles uncoiling as Jasper strokes slow lines over your cheekbone. Your eyes track the swish of his blond tresses when his head dips further, the bridge of his nose pressed to your cheek, and one golden eye that watches you right back.
His mouth ventures to the corner of your lips and you feel the imprint of his smile as you giggle and your features scrunch with unbridled adoration. It’s a rare display of such emboldened affection from him and you’ll be damned if you don’t wring him for every ounce whilst he’s willing to offer it.
All background noise melts away when he catches your lips between his own. You gasp a sweet little noise into his mouth and he swallows it greedily; the feel of his cold fingers on your cheek brands you, leaving a lasting tingle that reminds you that you’re his and his only. He nips at your bottom lip, the ghost of a laugh echoing against your mouth when you whine and cant your body towards his, wanting, needing, to be close. His forehead stays anchored to your own when he draws himself away.
"You’re beautiful," he murmurs. "My beautiful girl."
The cadence of his voice alone is enough to have you going soft and pliant in his grasp, tired eyes watching his every move as he nudges your chin upwards and presses another gentle peck to your mouth.
"Everything’s gonna be jus’ fine, okay?" he coos, gathering you up and into his arms in a way that has you biting your lip to suppress a whimper. "And then we’ll have forever, my darlin’."
"You promise?" He almost laughs at your question, but he hears the warble in your voice, feels the tightening of your fingers against the sleeve of his shirt, and he knows you need the reassurance. Something white-hot lights in his chest, fondness and something deep and primal all mixed into one— the urge to protect you always, no matter the cost, even if the world burns to ashes. He’ll protect you always.
"I promise." He sits back until you’re tucked beneath his arm, pushing stray curls out of your face as you nestle into the crook of his armpit. "Why don’t you sleep for a little while? You need it."
Suddenly the ruckus of the Cullen house dulls in your ears, your only focus on the blond you’re tucked against, his fingers curling around the blanket to pull it flush to your frame. The last thing you register is his arms tightening around you as you doze, and an arm hiking you into his lap when you go limp against him.

"Darlin, why are you still up?" his voice rang out into the darkness as he felt you shift against him again, breaking the silence in the room. "You haven't been sleeping properly for days now, sweets, please get some rest." His tone reveals the true depth of his worry, even through his whispers, only to be more pronounced with the soft kiss he presses into the crown of your head.
"It's not like i'm not trying," your voice waivers, and he already knows you're barely holding back frustrated tears of exhaustion. "I'm tired. So, so tired, but I just can't fall asleep." You whine into the crook of his neck and his heart breaks a little for you because there's nothing he can really do for you.
"What can i do, darlin'. Tell me how i can help you. Anything at all." he speaks into your hair, squeezing you a little closer to him and rubbing small circles into your back, feeling at least a little of your tenseness leave you. "whatever you need"
Your heart warms at this and you feel a few tears leave you. From love, frustration, or pure exhaustion you're not sure but you start crying. Jasper holds you impossibly tighter at the sound of your sniffles until the pressure grounds you enough to calm down and use your words.
"Can you use your gift, please?.." Your voice is so small, it's almost enough to stop his initial shock. "I know you don't use your gift on me much, but i just need it to settle me down. You don't have to if-" but before you can even finish your sentence you can feel a deep calmness settling into your bones, a heavy tiredness weighing on your body, a hazed feeling behind your eyes leaving them to drop shut.
"Thank you Jas, love you" you mumble into his neck and settle into sleep knowing he'll hear you.
"I love you too, darlin'. I love you too"

Twilight Imagines- Jasper x Reader
Curiosity
Tumblr media
[Masterlist]
Requested by: @futurequeen2018-blog
“Are you sure you want to come?” Bella asks me as we had just gotten into her truck. “Isn’t this against your guys' agreement or something?” Starting up the vehicle but also not glancing my way. I hum softly, not really knowing how to respond. It is against the treaty to go on one another’s land they claimed.
Technically on the other hand if they get permission it is different. And I have permission from the one and only. Carlisle Cullen. I know my family would be angry.
Very angry. But what they don’t know won’t hurt them. “Just go, questions will be answered in due time.” I joke with Bella, snapping my seatbelt on. Surprisingly she takes it and reverses out of my mother’s driveway.
The only reason I got permission from the vampire was because I was with Bella when Edward came over. I pleaded with her boyfriend to let me talk with his “dad.” I needed to know their side of the story. Everyone’s history. I believe my people of course. I had to know more. I got to call the sculpture of a man. His voice was sultry, smooth and almost angelic. I felt safe instantly and I now understand why Bella trusted them so.
I explained my curiosity, my interest in learning about them, he told me the dangers. On both sides. I knew what I was getting into. It wasn’t difficult to push though, with a sigh from him he told me I was welcome to come over with Bella, to keep it a secret.
“We’re here.” Her voice startles me, my eyes widen but I quickly calm myself. Giving a small smile and exiting the loud red vehicle. “Oh.” I mumble, slamming the door shut behind me. Four of the Cullen’s were already outside to greet us. Edward rushed to his lover as I walked toward the other three. Carlisle reaches a hand out and I take it. Curtly shaking it, then letting it drop to my side. “An honor, [Name].” He nods his head, I do the same. “Thank you. I say.
“This is Esme and Emmett.” He introduces me to the pretty duo beside him. His wife and other “Son.” Esme gives me a gentle smile, not offering her hand though. “Nice to meet you again.”
Oh, right. We’ve met before. “Yes, it is.” I attempt a smile but now I’m beginning to wonder if this was such a good idea after all. “Don’t go all wolf on us now, come inside.” Emmett’s voice booms loudly, motioning for me to follow him. I glance back to Bella’s red truck then over to Carlisle who gives me a reassuring expression. I let out a breath, letting my feet take over.
As beautiful as their house is outside it’s even more gorgeous inside. I soak everything in, my eyes wandering everywhere. I notice the other three Cullen’s in the living room as we get to the kitchen. They were talking amongst themselves. The blonde’s beauty was almost overwhelming and then my eyes landed on the other girl. Her eyes are already piercing into mine.
Once she sees me look at her she gives me a genuine smile which I wasn’t expecting. I smile back, shortly waving. As I went to look at the guy he was walking away. Seemingly… upset? “Hi, I’m Alice! You strangely don’t smell awful.” The girl from before is now in my face and I take a step back, alarmed.
“...hi, and thanks?” I shyly respond. Jacob told me they despised wolves, why are they being so nice to me? “It is weird that you smell decent.” The blonde interjects the conversation that I think I was going to have with the short brunette. “Um- I don’t know how to respond to that.” I awkwardly chuckle, avoiding eye contact with them.
“I thought it was just going to be Carlisle and I.” I rub the back of my neck, changing the subject. I didn’t expect to meet everyone. Well almost everyone since that one guy didn’t want to meet me. For some reason it kind of hurt my feelings? I don’t understand why.
“That is what was supposed to happen but they are nosey. Felt entitled to meet you.” Carlisle steps in, placing a hand on my shoulder. “Oh, well if they want to stay for the time being I don’t mind hearing everyone’s side of things. That’s why I’m here.” I smile, folding my arms in front of my chest, mainly to comfort myself.  “If you’re alright with it.” He repeats, I glance at everyone who was kind of staring me down. I swallow thickly, looking back up to him. “It’s fine.” I almost whisper. “Let’s go to the couch, to get more comfortable.” Esme leads the way into the living room. “I’m Rosalie by the way.” The beautiful woman says, nudging my arm. “[Name].” I say back.
We all sit down as a group, except Emmett who stays standing behind his wife. Rubbing her shoulders every now and then.
And this is kind of how it’s been since that day. We talk in the living room of their house, telling me their stories. Carlisle always has more to say due to being the eldest out of all of them. Hearing the heartbreaking things they’ve been through to be who they are now just makes me not understand why we hate them so much. Not all of them are evil, just like not all humans are evil. It’s a 50/50 chance to meet someone bad. You never truly know who you are going to meet. It’s scary but that’s the price of living. Or not living in their cases.
Everytime I come over, there’s that one guy who always leaves the house. I learned his name is Jasper. There’s only been two times where he has stayed, It’s not for a long time either. For thirty minutes at most and it seems like if I look at him too much he tenses up and that’s what causes him to leave. I ask Rosalie and Alice about him quite a bit. Curiosity getting the best of me. Emmett makes fun of me, telling me I have a puppy crush on him. Insulting if you ask me.
Alice always tells me it’s nothing personal with him; he just has a hard time opening up to people. Especially when he finds them interesting himself. Or threatening and I hope it’s the first one because I only want to be his friend. Like I became with the three, more Rosalie, kind of Emmett as well.
Alice has been leaving with Jasper more recently, I don’t know why. She didn’t explain it but I can tell something serious is going on. Something to do with Bella. No one will tell me anything though. I think it’s because of me being a wolf.
With that being said it’s also been hectic at the Rez. Paul, my cousin keeping a closer eye on me. Making me stay with the pack to train. Again it is kept a weird secret against me. Until I found out from Jacob and Leah talking. Some vampire is making an army of newborns to kill the Cullen’s. Wanting Edward and mainly Bella dead. They’re tracking her scent and everything, someone’s been in her room.
When I found out I ran to my car, driving to the Cullen's place, I didn’t know someone was following behind me though. Shoving my gear shift into park I run up to the front door, knocking like a mad man. The door opens and I immediately begin talking. “Why didn’t anyone tell me that’s what we’re training for? Supposedly I was training to literally do nothing too.” I glare at the person before me. It was Jasper. When my eyes landed on him something felt different. The world getting brighter. My heart rate quickened. My breathing stunted. “I- What?” I whisper, before I can say anything else though I hear a scoff behind me.
“Are you kidding me, [Name]!?” My cousin Paul shouts behind me, Jasper and I look at him with wide eyes. “I don’t know what happened! Wait! Calm down!” I step off the porch, Jasper right next to me, trying to explain what I just did. We’ve never even talked to one another and I just imprinted on him. How stupid am I? Can a wolf even do that with a vampire? Is that natural? Is that okay?
“You imprinted on a vampire, [Name]. What the fuck is wrong with you?” He screams in my face, Jasper places a hand on my cousin’s chest. “Hey, it’s not her fault and you know that.” He sticks up for me. I tense up as Paul glares at him. “Don’t touch me, freak.” He shoves the guy. I feel my skin get hot.
“Don’t touch him!” I scream and push Paul back, causing him to stumble.
All of a sudden I’m not onto the steps of the porch, hurting my back. I look back to see the Cullen’s getting in defensive stances. My eyes go back to the guys in front of me. Paul backs up and I think he’s going to walk it off but instead he runs back toward Jasper, shifting into his wolf form. Jasper braces himself for impact but I quickly get up shifting in my own form. Attacking Paul from the side.
Both of us get up after rolling in the dirt. I shake it off, getting in front of Jasper protectively. Baring my teeth at my cousin. Snapping when he gets too close. “You’re going to fight for him over your own family!?” He questions me. “He’s my mate now, I have no choice.” I growl. He gets close to me but I snarl. Standing my ground. “It’s in our rules. You can’t harm my imprint, Paul.” I remind him. He attempts to get at me again but when I don’t move he pauses. Not responding to me. Just staring me down. I do the same, not losing my stance. Then suddenly he huffs, running off.
I look back to the Cullen’s whimpering as an apology, bowing my head down. Closing my eyes. Not believing the mess I just made. How could I imprint on Jasper? Why did I have to do that!? He probably resents me now, I screwed up my every chance of being normal to him.
“It’s okay, hun.” A country accent rips through the air, a hand petting under my chin and I look up to see Jasper giving me a gentle smile, his dimples forming. “You did nothing wrong, [Name].” Edward tells me, shocking me. I just wish I was in my human form but I know if I shift back I’ll be naked.
“Go get her a blanket.” Jasper says, as if he was reading my mind. I know he can feel my emotions, but not read my thoughts like Edward. Alice comes toward me with a large blanket, wrapping it over me back giving me enough privacy to go back to my human form.
When I do I grip the blanket, covering myself. “Thank you.” I huff, feeling sweaty and gross. “No problem, love.” Jasper helps me up, keeping an arm wrapped around me. “I understand if this is weird for you.” I automatically say to him. He breathes out a quiet laugh.
He looks around at the others, giving a look as if to tell them to leave us for a moment. They do so, going back inside. “We never even spoke and now we’re supposed to be mates.” I drop my head, embarrassed with myself. “It’s definitely interesting.” He squeezes me closer to him.
“Don’t you find it weird?” I ask, hiding my face in the blanket, we both sit down. “Mm, I was fond of you before you imprinted. I think this just gives me a push to get to know you.” He tells me, I gasp quietly, still hiding my face though.
“You were?”
“Yeah, nerves got to me, I couldn’t read your emotions when you looked at me. You were happy when you spoke to everyone but when you looked at me it was confusion..? I don’t know.” He explains. It grows quiet as I begin to register what he’s telling me. “Can I see your face?” He asks. I slowly do it, looking up at him.
“You’re embarrassed.” He states. My face grows warm. “Who wouldn’t be in my position? I’m naked and I just imprinted on this handsome guy that also happens to be a vampire?” I dramatically explain, almost dropping the blanket but he lifts it back on my shoulder before that happens, leaving me with an even warmer face. “Don’t be embarrassed. I’m happy with what happened.” He stares into my eyes to prove his being genuine. “Are you sure?” I quiz.
“Positive.” He snickers. “Can I kiss you?” I blurt out, only making him laugh more. “Yes, you can.”
I reach out with a covered hand and touch his face, pulling him into a kiss.

Darlin’, Don’t You Know
Jasper Hale  x Reader
Summary: She didn’t mean to fall for him. But with his hands made for gentleness, his Southern drawl wrapping around every word like silk, and his old-fashioned chivalry that made her heart ache in the best way, how could she ever stand a chance?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It started the way most trouble does — innocently enough.
Y/n hadn’t paid much attention to the Cullens when she first moved to Forks. Sure, they were beautiful in a way that felt unnatural, and there were whispers that followed them through the halls — rumors that stuck like gum under desks, impossible to scrape away. But they existed on a plane outside of hers. Perfect, untouchable, unbothered.
Until Jasper Hale touched her.
It was stupid, really — her pen rolling off the edge of the Biology table, clattering to the floor between them. She reached down, fingers brushing cool metal at the same time his hand did. His skin was cold, his fingers long and careful as they nudged the pen into her hand.
“Here you go, darlin’.”
That was the first time she heard it — that slow, Southern drawl rolling over the word darlin’ like it belonged to her and only her. It wasn’t fair, the way her heart stuttered. Just a word, and she was wrecked.
She barely choked out a thank you. He smiled, barely-there, and went back to taking notes like nothing had happened.
But something had happened. She knew it. And so did he.
It didn’t take long to notice the pattern.
────────
Jasper was always there. Waiting by her locker, his shoulder against the wall, eyes flicking to her every time someone passed too close. At first, she thought it was coincidence — Forks High wasn’t exactly big. But then he started carrying her books.
And her bag.
And once, her entire backpack, slinging it over his shoulder like it weighed nothing.
“Jasper,” she protested, following after him. “I’m not helpless, you know.”
“Never said you were,” he drawled. “But you’re still not carryin’ this.”
“Why not?”
“Because you’ve got me, darlin’. That’s why.”
It would’ve been maddening — if not for the way he said it. Like being hers was the simplest truth in the world. Like it was fact, undeniable and already written in stone.
So she fought back the only way she knew how.
Teasing.
She made a playlist — the cheesiest, most over-the-top country love songs she could find. She played them whenever he got in her truck, smiling sweetly when his brow lifted in amusement.
“Cowboy,” she started calling him, soft and teasing, every time he opened a door or carried her bag like some 1800s ranch hand.
And every time, his lips twitched, no matter how hard he tried not to smile.
But teasing wasn’t the only thing between them.
There was something else, heavy in the air whenever they stood too close — something electric, like standing barefoot on the edge of a summer storm. Sometimes she’d catch him watching her, gaze soft, something unspoken trapped behind his careful expression.
One afternoon, he opened the passenger door for her — like always — but this time, his fingers brushed her wrist. Barely a touch.
Y/n’s pulse leapt, heart fluttering wildly against her ribs. His gaze dropped to her hand, lingering for a beat too long before he pulled back.
“Thank you,” she whispered, voice softer than she meant.
“Anytime, darlin’.”
And that was the moment she knew: this wasn’t just a crush.
────────
Jasper knew before she did.
Knew the moment her scent curled around him in the cafeteria, warm and right in a way nothing else had ever been. His mate.
It was a quiet kind of devastation — the knowledge that after so many years of silence and restraint, the universe had tethered him to something so soft, so fleeting. A heartbeat wrapped in fragile skin, a life that could be snuffed out before he even had the chance to hold it properly in his hands.
He wasn’t supposed to have this. Not after everything he’d done.
For decades, he’d mastered control. His body was a fortress, his hunger chained in the basement of his mind, barred behind iron gates and constant vigilance. Every breath was measured, every interaction scripted — proximity without connection, conversation without vulnerability. The only way to survive eternity was to become stone — unmoved, unshaken, untouchable.
But this? This wasn’t something he could outthink or outfight.
The moment her scent filled his lungs, it broke him open. That fortress he’d spent lifetimes building shattered like thin glass, and in its place was something ancient — something older than hunger, older than pain. Instinct. Bone-deep and undeniable.
Protect her. Shield her. Carry her burdens so she’d never have to feel them.
His mate. His darlin’.
He’d never deserved a word like that. Not with blood under his fingernails and ghosts lining the halls of his memory like mourners at a funeral. But fate had never asked if he was ready. Fate had only given him her — warm and laughing and alive in ways he no longer knew how to be.
So he tried to stay away.
Tried to ignore the ache that curled low in his ribs every time her laugh rang out across the hall, the sharp tug in his chest whenever someone brushed too close to her shoulder, the unbearable craving for her scent when she wasn’t near.
It lasted less than 48 hours.
Because for all his discipline, for all his centuries of restraint, Jasper Hale was still a man — and when fate gives a dying man something to live for, he doesn’t walk away.
He can’t.
────────
They found their rhythm somewhere between teasing and tenderness.
He opened every door. Carried every bag — even the light ones, even the ones she could’ve easily managed herself. He never asked if she needed him to. He just did it, like it was a reflex written into his bones.
She called him cowboy with a grin that could bring him to his knees. Played George Strait and Dolly Parton and Tim McGraw every chance she got, spinning the volume knob just to see him roll his eyes — but no matter how hard he tried, he always gave himself away. A soft hum under his breath. A quiet mouthing of lyrics he hadn’t meant to remember.
She teased him mercilessly for it, but her heart ached in that soft, fluttery way whenever she caught him slipping — her immortal cowboy, still tangled up in the boy he used to be.
It should’ve been simple. But love stories never are.
There were nights Jasper disappeared — no calls, no texts, just silence where his presence should’ve been. Y/n would sit by her window, phone in her lap, willing it to ring. It never did.
When he came back, his hands were colder than usual. His eyes darker, shadows clinging to him like smoke from a wildfire he couldn’t outrun. She never asked where he went. She could’ve. She could’ve demanded answers, pushed until he cracked wide open. But some part of her, the part that already knew this love was both beautiful and dangerous, understood that whatever haunted him wasn’t ready to be shared yet.
So instead, she held out her hand. And when he sat down beside her, she curled into his side, her cheek finding the familiar curve of his shoulder. She didn’t speak. She just breathed — slow, steady, until his breathing matched hers.
He always held her tighter on those nights, fingers curling into her shirt like an anchor, as if letting go might break something inside him that was already too fragile.
She never told him, but those were the nights she loved him most — not because he was perfect, but because he wasn’t. Because his hands shook when they touched her, because he was more shadow than light sometimes, and because even then, especially then, he still came back to her.
Every time.
────────
The first kiss happened at the edge of town.
The world felt smaller there, tucked beneath a sky too wide and too full of stars. The headlights were off, leaving only the silver hush of moonlight spilling through the windshield. The windows were cracked, and the night air was cool enough to bite, but neither of them noticed.
Her hand rested on the bench seat between them — palm up, fingers loose, close enough to touch but not quite daring to. It was a silent invitation, and Jasper’s gaze flicked to it more than once, fingers curling against his knee like he was fighting a war no one else could see.
The stereo hummed quietly, a country song neither of them had really been listening to — something slow and syrupy, the kind of love song that felt almost too much for a moment this delicate.
Jasper didn’t speak at first. He just watched her — the soft curve of her smile, the way her hair spilled over her shoulders, catching the faint light like strands of gold. The shadows softened her edges, turning her into something almost ethereal — more dream than girl, more wish than reality.
“You’re starin’ again, cowboy,” she teased, voice hushed but warm, like laughter was waiting just beneath the words.
“I know,” he said quietly, not even pretending to apologize.
He leaned in slowly, painfully slowly, his hand finally reaching to brush his knuckles over her jaw, tracing a path down to her chin. He held her there, thumb just beneath her lip, giving her every chance to pull away. To stop this before it became something they could never undo.
She didn’t.
Instead, she leaned into him, eyes half-lidded and breath already caught somewhere between her ribs. The kiss was barely there at first — a brush of his cool mouth against her warm one, a sigh into the space between them.
But even that soft touch made something inside her tremble.
Jasper kissed her like she was made of spun glass, fragile and fleeting, and far too precious to ever deserve his hands on her. His fingers ghosted along her jaw, curling into her hair, holding her like a man who knew how easily beautiful things could shatter.
Y/n didn’t let him stay gentle for long.
Her hands fisted in his shirt, pulling him closer — silently telling him there was no part of her that would break under his touch. Her body was warm against his chest, her heartbeat racing loud enough that he could feel it beneath his fingertips.
The kiss deepened, slow but desperate, as if each second was borrowed and they knew it. Jasper’s other hand skimmed down her spine, spreading wide at the small of her back, keeping her anchored to him. She could feel the tremor in his fingers, the way he fought to keep himself in check — holding back all the hunger, all the need.
It was too much and not enough, all at once.
He finally pulled back, forehead resting against hers, breath coming too fast for someone who didn’t need air.
“You kiss like you’re scared I’ll break,” she whispered, her smile soft but her voice unshaken.
Jasper swallowed hard, thumb tracing slow circles along her jawline, like he was memorizing the shape of her.
“I’m scared of a lot of things, darlin’.” His voice was rough, his accent heavier when emotion cracked through the spaces between the words. “But losin’ you? That scares me most.”
Y/n didn’t know what to say to that — so she kissed him again, softer this time, like a promise she wasn’t ready to put into words.
And for that moment, beneath the weight of a thousand stars, Jasper let himself believe that maybe, just maybe, this was something they could survive.
────────
It wasn’t perfect.
Loving Jasper meant loving his shadows too — the ghosts of wars he wouldn’t speak of, the hunger that lived under his skin. It meant letting him disappear into the woods when instincts got too sharp, and trusting he’d always come back.
Some nights, she traced the scars on his arms — faint, but there if you knew where to look.
“Do they hurt?” she asked once, fingertips ghosting over a particularly deep one.
“Not anymore.”
“Do you want to tell me how you got them?”
“Not tonight.”
She kissed each scar instead, her lips soft against old wounds.
“You’re too good for me,” he whispered.
“Too late, cowboy. You’re stuck with me.”
She left notes in his locker — doodles of stick-figure cowboys and bad jokes like Why did the cowboy adopt a dachshund? Because he wanted to get a long little doggy.
He groaned every time, but never threw them away. She caught him once, folding one into his wallet, his smile soft as honey.
“You’re ridiculous,” he said.
“And you love it.”
He didn’t argue.
They weren’t supposed to fit — a girl with her whole life ahead of her, and a boy whose life was already too long. But somehow, they did.
And maybe it was fate. Or maybe it was just this:
Jasper Hale was her cowboy.
Y/n was his darlin’.
And neither of them had any plans to let go.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Wait, what if-” You’ve managed to cut off the kiss more times within 5 minutes than you have within the whole time that you have been with Jasper. The thing was, he was completely against the idea of having actual sex with you due to the fear of losing control or you ending up like Bella. However, he wasn’t against the thought of any kind of oral sex. Which leads you to where you are now.
“Darling, shh.” He coos as he presses his lips back to yours before pulling away and holding your cheek in the palm of his freezing palm. “If you don’t like it, you tell me and we stop, alright? It’s simple, I’ll help you.” Jaspers calmness helped you feel better as he had you discard your clothes.
“Cmere,” He beckons you over as he lays on his back, seeing you nervously come over to him. You had both of your thighs on both sides of his head, yet you didn’t dare to lower yourself any further than you already were. “Baby, I can’t even reach you. Let’s be realistic now.” His hands found there way to your hips as he brought them down with force, your cunt immediately connecting with his lips.
“Jasper- oh my gosh!” You cried out as your hand traveled to the one that was resting on your hip. You didn’t realize how good this would feel, especially with every gentle jerk of your hips, his nose brushed your clit in such a delicious manner. You attempted to pull away just a bit to allow him a breath of air, but that idea was quickly shut down as he grabbed you back.
Thankful for the headboard in front of you, it was holding up your body. “Move your hips,” His voice sent vibrations up your core, sending your eyes backwards. You immediately followed, your hips bucking into his face as you begin to feel that familiar bubble of ecstasy in your abdomen become more noticeable.
“I’m going to cum!” You whined, shutting your eyes as both of your hands went to the headboard to stabilize yourself. “Please, please, please,” Your babbling was the last thing you heard as you came hard on the vampires tongue.
Your legs shook as you pulled away, seeing Jasper wipe his mouth from your juices. “Not bad?” He asked looking over at you to see you still coming back down from the high that made you see stars.
“Yep,” I said as you stared at the wall. “Not bad at all.”

Jasper Hale dating headcanons
Tumblr media
- this man is definitely, definitely still very old school, very chivalrous and a western gentle man. Stuff like opening doors, kissing your hand and leading you on his arm is a must.
- This man loves showing and teaching you new things 100%. Oh you’ve never really played baseball?, hell show you exactly how to hold the bat and hit the ball with precision. Hell stand behind yo, his arms wrapped around your body, his hand pressing to to yours as Alice pitched the ball, it came at such speed and you were a little frightened, but he led the movements with ease.
- He definitely takes you to a ranch to show you how to ride a horse, western of course. You’re sitting in front of him on the sturdy leather saddle as he’s handing you the reigns, his ands moving to your waist instead. He’s giving you detailed instructions as he gives the horse a little nudge with his heel. He tells you to softly pull the leather straps in the direction you want to go and the horse follows, he’s definitely praising you every chance he gets.
- He definitely has a thing for keeping you close, always holding your hand, or resting or around your waist, he wont allow you out of his weight until he bids you good night at your window. By the way, he’s definitely no as creepy as Edward by watching you sleep. Jasper definitely respects your space and leaves the second you give him a kiss good night. Thats unless you ask him to stay, then he’ll gladly lay down with you, cuddling you close but making sure that you’re always covered with a blanket so that you wouldn’t freeze while laying in his arms.
- Jasper will show you his battle scars once he’s sure that you’re ready and of course you’re a little shocked, but at least now you know why he always wears long sleeves. He allows you to grace them with your soft warm fingers as you ask questions about them, of course he answers truthfully, having come to terms with them a long time ago. He even tells you about Maria and her army, but what he didn’t expect was that you’d start crying, big round tears rolling over your chest. He coos and takes you into his arms, comforting you and telling you that he’s alright all while you’re whining about the story being unfair and sad, he cant help but smile.
- He definitely introduced himself to your family as on as your relationship got serious, you couldn’t stop him from meeting your father and making himself known in your family. Unexpectedly, your father actually liked him, he could tell that he wasn’t just going to keep you round short term but that he’d planned his future around you, going as far as to ask your father for his approval of the relationship.
- Jasper definitely knows how to play the guitar, i mean, he’s a cowboy? Hell play anything and everything for you, in his room , at the beach, in school or anywhere you want. He’ll definitely attempt to teach you at least a few songs so that the two if you could duet, but he soon finds that you rather enjoy watching him instead of playing yourself, swaying softly to the tunes and humming along.
- Jasper defiantly takes it slow with you, just like a true old-school gentle man. He’ll kiss your hand whenever he picks you up and he’ll drive you to a secluded romantic spot, the beach for example, hell sit down with you and just bask in your presence, he’ll kiss you, sure, smiling every second and laughing with you at the awkwardness, only to kiss you again. He really does love you.

Jasper Hale and gn! reader they're looking around the stream and they see some Quartzite and reader gets excited (it's their fav.. rock)
typically its found in the mountians
a/n: This was so fun to write! This was actually my first request, so I'm glad to get to write it. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy!!
------------------------------------------------------------
i could listen to you forever
gn!reader x jasper hale (fluff)
words: 535
summary: you find your favorite rock along the river's edge, and Jasper can't help but listen to you ramble.
Tumblr media
“Jasper,” you whisper shout to him. Your eyes are only partially open, but you still see something shining in the sunlight towards the bed of the stream. “Jas,” you urge again, this time shaking his shoulder. You aren’t sure why either of you decided it’d be a good idea to rest here, out in the forest, but it’s been some of the best sleep you’ve ever gotten.
“What is it love bug?” Jasper asks in a soft, sleepy voice. Vampires can’t sleep, but sometimes he gets so relaxed with you that he feels like he could. You yawn, stretching your back, and stand up. One second you’re looking at Jasper resting against a rock, eyes barely open and strands of blonde hair in his face, the next second he’s stood next to you with wide eyes. His vampire speed might be something you never get used to.
“I see something shining over there,” you say excitedly. You absolutely loved all things rocks and crystals, and Jasper knew that well.
“Well, let’s go look and see what it is, Sugar,” Jasper tells you with a smile. He loves to see you get excited over what you care about, and you love when he calls you those sweet nicknames. The two of you quickly make your way over to the river's age. The sun is hitting just right, and Jasper begins to sparkle just as much as the rock in his hands.
“Is that what I think it is?” you ask him happily. You watch as he rubs his thumb over it, and then holds it up to the light.
“Why yes, I do believe so,” he says with a smirk, leaning in closer to you. You laugh and gently kiss him. He places the rock in your hand and you begin to exam in it.
“Did you know this is my favorite?”
“I think you’ve mentioned it,” he says with a smile, “maybe I’ll get it made into a ring for you.” You laugh at his comments, but deep down you know that sounds amazing. “Why don’t you tell me about it?”
“Haven’t I already told you about it?” you ask genuinely. You could talk about this sort of stuff forever, but you don’t because you don’t want to annoy Jasper.
“You have told me about it, but I wanna hear it again,” he tells you as he grabs you by the waist and kisses the top of your head.
“It’s Quartzite, typically found in the mountains. It’s a metamorphic rock, meaning it’s formed by being subjected to high heat and pressure, that’s made from quartz rich sandstone. Sometimes it’s used to make kitchen countertops.”
“You sure do know your stuff, sweetheart,” he says with a smile. His southern accent is more prominent then ever when he’s calling you his sweetheart.
“You don’t mind when I ramble?”
“Darlin’, I could listen to you talk about rocks for the rest of my life, which I’d like to point out is the rest of forever.” He kisses you on the top of the head again and holds you close.
“Well, I guess you’ll be learning a lot about rocks,” you joke.
“I can’t wait,” he says, syrupy sweet.

past lovers - jasper hale x reader
Tumblr media
“i’ll find you” his words started to fade for you even more as you laid helplessly on his arms. “i swear i’ll find you” jasper desperately hugged your delicate body against his chest as he let the tears fall from his red eyes. “please, forgive me” his voice broke once again while repeatedly asking for your forgiveness. jasper looked down at you and his hand tenderly caressed your cheek one last time before you closed your eyes forever.

Giddy Surprise
Tumblr media
Jasper Whitlock X Reader
Summary: You can't convince me Jasper doesn't miss having horses -> You have a surprise for Jasper. A furry, hay eating, clippity clop kind of surprise.
Word Count: 1082
Warnings: None, no beta, barely edited, I was really tired writing this, but I hope it's okay!
---
You are practically buzzing with excitement the second Jasper sets foot through the door. He can feel it all the way from the entryway. You don’t conceal it either, waiting impatiently for him in the living room, all but bouncing on the balls of your feet.
“Hey Jas,” you greet him with an absolutely giddy grin.
“Hello, darlin’.” He presses a kiss to your forehead like he always does, lips twitching into an amused smile. “How was your day?”
“Good, good, I have something to show you!” Patience really never was your specialty. Not when it comes to Jasper at least.
Originally, you had a big plan to reveal your surprise. You were going to pretend to read when he got home, let him get comfortable after a stressful day around humans, and then suggest going for a nice, mid-afternoon walk. That’s when you’d take him to his gift, and boom - surprise!
That plan went down the drain as soon as you heard his car pull into the driveway.
“What do you want to show me?” Jasper asks, already knowing you won’t tell him, but it’s worth the little conspiratorial look you give him.
“You’ll have to wait and see!”
You take his hand and drag him into the woods, twisting and ducking between trees along a barely worn path. Jasper, being the patient saint of a man he is, follows along without complaint, content to just soak up the electric warmth of your excitement. You can’t even get a word out, that giddy smile never leaving your face, and Jasper can’t bring himself to look away.
He’s always loved the vividness of your emotions. Even when you were human, they would fill a room, your happiness like sunshine bursting through the heaviest clouds, your sadness like the weight of the air before it rains. He never could understand how one person could feel things so strongly. Not only that, but you’ve always been so unwaveringly positive, always smiling, always trying to love others the best you can.
Like this. He can’t imagine someone other than you being so excited about a surprise. Jasper doesn’t even care what it is. Your overwhelming joy is so pure, so contagious, he finds himself getting swept away in it, smiling like a fool.
It’s only when a familiar scent drifts past him that he drags his eyes away from you. You glimpse over your shoulder, catching the flash of recognition on his face, and your excitement only builds.
A few more feet and you break past the trees into a large field. Jasper comes to a sharp stop beside you, eyes going wide at the sight before him.
“Surprise!”
In the middle of the field stands a little stable, rustic and simple, with a gated fence stretching around the pasture. Right beyond the fence stand a small group of horses, grazing on the long grass without a care in the world.
You turn to Jasper expectantly. He looks completely stunned, lips parted, eyebrows shooting up. It almost makes you laugh, since he kind of looks like an adorable goldfish, but you smother it behind your hand. This was totally a good idea.
The idea started sprouting when Jasper first told you about his past. You remember the night, back when you were human. It took time to earn Jasper’s trust, but it was worth it, because that night he shared all kinds of stories about his childhood. It was the night you learned of his love for horses growing up, and how much he missed them.
So you got together with Emmett and Alice to design and build the stable. Emmett did most of the hard labor (you bribed him by promising to get Jasper to fight him again, since he was still petty about losing the last one), while Alice jumped at the chance to design the whole thing. Meanwhile, you focused on finding the perfect horses.
“The tan one is Whiskey, the appaloosa is Tango, and the chestnut one is Juliet,” you start, pulling the shocked vampire closer to the fence, “I was going to get just one, but when I was doing research, it said horses need friends, so I got three! It felt like a good number, and this way, we can go riding together!”
Jasper’s jaw clenches and unclenches rapidly.
He doesn’t know what to say. He doesn’t know if there’s anything he could say.
When the two of you reach the fence, one of the horses lifts its head, ears swiveling towards you. For a moment, Jasper expects it to start running, as most animals do when they sense the predatory aura of a vampire. As soon as the horse lays eyes on you though, it gives a low snort and trots right over.
Right to him.
The moment the horse nudges its nose into his chest, something shifts in Jasper, like magic. The vampire loosens up, gold eyes practically glowing as he lifts a hand to rub its muzzle, the motion so natural despite the hundred of years he’s gone without being near one. The horse leans into his touch, head almost flat against his chest, ears flicking to the side as Jasper scratches his neck. A small, easy-going smile pulls at the blond’s lips, and you’re all but starstruck watching him.
It's quite possibly the cutest thing you've ever seen.
“Do you like them?” You ask, barely above a whisper.
Jasper chuckles, ruffling the horse’s mane as he looks over at you, eyes warm, “Darlin’, this is the best surprise I’ve been given in a long time.”
You light up, “Really?”
He takes a step away from the horse, much to its displeasure, and wraps his arms around you instead, pulling you close. You stretch up to curl yours around his neck, humming happily when he leans down to kiss you. It’s soft, overwhelmingly soft, filling you to the brim with a fuzzy warmth.
When he pulls back, he doesn’t go far, lips still brushing yours as he murmurs, “I’m certain no one has ever gone to such lengths for me. Thank you, sweetheart.”
“You are very welcome, mister. I'd go to the ends of the earth for you.” You give him another, chaste kiss, soaring on cloud nine. “Now! Why don’t you show me how to ride? I think they’re itchin’ to get out of the pasture!”
“It would be my pleasure, ma'am.”
Safe to say, you end up falling off a few times. Apparently the whole vampire grace thing doesn’t apply to riding massive, moving animals.
---
This came to me so randomly, and I loved it, and I don't think I did it justice, but I needed to just write it! I might re-do it, we'll see!

You left
Jasper hale x reader
Tw: sad and ed
Summary: after leaving with his family y/n finds out that Jasper as returned to forks.
Tumblr media
It’s hard to think that what jasper and I was real when the last word he spoke to you was I don’t love you anymore, that was the day I felt my heart rip in two. When Jasper left it was like he was never there to begin with and everything began going back to how it was before I knew him, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I didn’t want to talk to anyone all I ever did these days was lay in bed and stare at the ceiling praying that it was just some bad dream that I could wake up from.
I knew Bella was having a hard time as well but I couldn’t bring myself to visit her because before because I didn’t want another reminder that the Cullens was gone and Jasper the only person able to drag you from the dark place of my own mind. Jasper was the one who got me to eat again and now I don’t even have the energy to cry.
Im sick of being alone in my sadness so I went to see Bella maybe she could cheer me up a little bit she seemed a bit happier since she started spending time with Jacob. Charlie let me into the house he seemed glad to see me again, I walked to Bella’s room when I heard talking from behind the door I thought it was Jacob. I open the door and my heart shatters seeing Edward sitting on the bed with Bella.
‘Your back’ the mumble words are all I could get out before both of them rushes over to me
‘Y/n….’ Bella starts but I cut her off and look and Edward ‘are the others back?’ I ask trying to hide the tears in my eyes.
‘Yes’ that one word feels like my heart is being put through a paper shredder ‘how long’ I look up at Edward tears staining my cheeks.
‘A few weeks’ those words send me over the edge as a walk down stairs as fast as I can needing to get out of there my whole world feels like it’s caving in on me and I can’t handle it. I held on to hope all this time that Jasper still loved me that he was trying to protect me from himself but now he doesn’t want me at all anymore he couldn’t even let me know that he was back.
I rush home and snuggle into my bed tear streaming down my face as I sob feeling worse then I did when Jasper left me.
I wake up to a cold hand running down my cheek, slowly my eyes flutter open and I see pale skin and blonde hair ‘hi darlin’ the smooth southern draw of jaspers words make my heart flutter as tears well in my eyes.
‘Jasper?’ I ask as rise to my feet and stand in front of him.
‘Yes sugar’ he reaches to wipe my tears but before his hand can reach my face again I smack it away as jaspers eyes go wide in shock.
‘You left’ I sob ‘you said you don’t love me’ Jasper pulls me into his arm ‘shhh I’m here now’ i struggle to get out of his grip ignoring his words as I cry.
‘Y/n look at me…. Please darling’ I stop fighting when him and look into his eyes watching as they good wide seeing how thin and pale I’ve become.
‘I love you but it was the only way you would let me go but please y/n give me a second chance’ a sob leaves my mouth as Jasper picks me up in his cold arm and puts me in bed cuddling me.
‘Sugar I need you to listen to me ok’ is firm voice worries me as he stares into my eyes ‘I know you don’t want to eat so we will sleep for tonight and in the morning I’ll go buy all your favourite foods and I’ll show how sorry I am for leaving you y/n I love you’ before I can respond Jasper pulls me into a passionate kiss pouring all of his feelings of sorrow and regret into it as he pulls away he strokes my hair and doesn’t leave my side as I fall back asleep.

Halloween/Fall HC
Jasper Hale x reader
a/n: I'm sorry this is short but it just kinda popped into my mind. Seriously Jasper would be SUCH a gentleman in the fall (not that he isn't all year)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jasper would 100% THRIVE during fall
Like obviously it’d be better because it’s not as sunny
But like the way his eyes would match the leaves on the trees as you walk through the woods together, your hands holding each other close
He always carries a jacket with him during this time of year, just in case you get a little cold
I mean he can’t have you getting sick now
The Cullens don’t really celebrate Halloween anymore but if you wanted to decorate his room he’d be happy to help
On that note, he would decorate your house with your family if you asked, always close behind you in case you can’t quite reach something
If you have younger siblings he would go with you to take them trick or treating
I mean it’s very dangerous to be out there alone with all those people around

𝕵𝖆𝖘𝖕𝖊𝖗 𝕳𝖆𝖑𝖊
Short but sweet
This had to be the best place in the world, snuggled up on your boyfriend's chest and using his woolly green jumper and your personal blanket. The pitter patter of the fork's rain was soothing, but not as soothing as the gentle hum your Texan boyfriend lowly gave as he read. Your ears flicked at the sound of a page turning over, awakening more at the noise.
Perhaps it was time to rear your little head.
Poking out if the linen stitches at his neckline, whiskers tickle at his face and distract him into putting down his book.
"Well hello darlin'" his accent twangs, two fingers coming up to scratch lightly at your forehead. Jasper grins at the little purrs you let out, blond hair tussled in front of his face and almost hiding it from you. "Was wondering when you were gonna come out of there"
His voice is low, quiet, soothing. Just like your jasper usually is.
"You ready to come back to me yet?"
A small nip at his finger, but all he does is chuckle.
"I'll take that as a no. Back down you go Sugar." He watches as you re-curl yourself on his chest, and he lifts his jumper from the waistline to smooth his hand over the fur on your side.
What a satisfying evening, a good book, some gentle rain, a humming boyfriend, and a cat ready for cuddles. Who could imagine a better life?

Flufftober Day 14: Leaves
Jasper Hale x reader
Word Count: 0.5k
AN: this one is short and sweet. Please reblog if you enjoyed reading it.
Tumblr media
divider credit @royallaesthetics
There was something so human about the fall season. The falling of leaves and the sudden coldness that permeates the air. It all reminded Jasper a bit too much about being mortal. Of course, he hadn’t been mortal in at least a century, but you were. You were mortal right now, he could lose you at any moment. You could wither and fall, just like the leaves on the ground.
That is why Jasper was in a bad mood. But he was trying his best to latch onto your feeling of joy. You were positively radiant with joy while taking a stroll with Jasper on the way home from school. The day was overcast, as it commonly was in Forks but the lack of sunshine never seemed to bother you.
Jasper admired your ability to find happiness in the small things. For how long he’s lived, the monotony of every day seemed to make the fleeting moments blur together. He had gone decade with the days and nights melding into one. It wasn’t until he had met you that he seemed to wake up from his stupor. It was still difficult for him to understand how stepping on leaves brought you so much joy, but he would watch you and bask in the warmth that your joy emanated.
“Why do you enjoy this so much Darlin’?” He had asked.
“Dunno Japser, I like the noise, I guess.”
“Is that why you step on all of them?” He didn’t see the appeal, and if he was completely honest the noise kind of grated on him.
“I guess. Why? Does it bother you, ‘cause I can stop.” You offered beginning to look up and walk normally.
“No, you don’t need to stop Love, I’m just curious I guess.”
“Curious about what?”
“Why do you get so happy while doing such pointless things? I like that you have things that make you happy, but I don’t see how crunching dead leaves get you so overjoyed.
“Oh Jasper,” You smiled moving to wrap your arm through his “I’m not overjoyed because of the leaves, I’m happy because I’m spending time with you.”
If his heart was still beating he's sure that it would send blood to his cheeks at your remark.
“You make happy Jasper, more happy than I’ve been in a long time. I could be filing taxes and as long as I was with you I’d enjoy it.” Your words settle into his mind like syrup. Slowly covering his thoughts with you and his love for you.
Maybe that is why he liked being around you. Even in the moments that he struggles with his hunger, just being near you puts him at ease. He feels like he can breathe with you, even though he doesn’t need to. At first, his fear of putting you in danger far outweighed any desire to be near you. But when he realized that being near you was the only way to keep you safe, he became almost impossible to get away from, though you never wanted to get away from him anyway.
“You make me happy too Darlin’.” He pulled your arm out of his and moved it letting it hang in between the two of you. He laced your fingers together and continued your walk. Smiling when you started stepping on leaves again.

Southern Charm
Jasper Hale x Reader
Summary: There’s something dangerous about Jasper Hale—something that should make you run the other way. But then he smirks, tilts his head just so, and says, “Looking good today, ma’am,” in that slow Southern drawl, and suddenly, you forget why you were supposed to resist him in the first place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first time you heard Jasper Hale speak, it was over something as simple as a door.
You had reached for the handle, fingers barely grazing the metal before he was there, faster than humanly possible, pulling it open with an effortless grace. His touch was light, like the ghost of a promise, but the weight of his presence behind you was something you felt in your bones.
“After you, darlin’.”
The drawl was smooth, rich like aged whiskey, laced with something deeper—something that sent an involuntary shiver down your spine. When you turned to meet his gaze, golden eyes locked onto yours, full of quiet amusement and something else you couldn’t quite name.
It wasn’t fair, really.
Jasper Hale was lethal in more ways than one.
It wasn’t just his impossible beauty, all sharp cheekbones and tousled blond waves that made him look like some Southern heartbreak wrapped in temptation. It wasn’t just his voice, either, that sinful, honeyed accent that curled around words like a promise, making even the simplest phrases sound like poetry. No, the real danger was how easily he could make you forget yourself.
And he knew it.
“See somethin’ you like, sugar?” he teased, the corner of his mouth lifting into that barely-there smirk.
Heat bloomed across your cheeks, but you refused to look away. “Just wondering if you always go out of your way to be this much of a gentleman.”
His chuckle was low, a quiet rumble in his chest as he leaned in just slightly, enough to make your breath catch. “Can’t help it, ma’am. Mama raised me right.”
His eyes flickered to your lips, just for a second—quick enough that you might have imagined it, but the way your stomach flipped told you otherwise.
Jasper Whitlock Hale was going to ruin you.
***
It didn’t stop there.
He was relentless in his quiet, effortless charm, making it impossible to ignore the fact that you were utterly, completely drawn to him.
It was in the way he always pulled out your chair before you could sit. The way he made a habit of offering his arm when you walked together, as if it were second nature—like touching you was something he couldn’t help but do.
And, of course, the compliments.
“Looking mighty fine today, sweetheart,” he’d murmur in passing, voice just low enough that only you could hear.
“You do that on purpose,” you accused one afternoon, unable to hide the way your lips twitched at his antics.
Jasper, ever composed, merely raised an eyebrow. “Do what, now?”
“That—” you waved a hand vaguely, flustered, “—the whole Southern gentleman routine. The flirting.”
He didn’t even try to look innocent. If anything, his smirk widened.
“Now, sugar,” he drawled, stepping in closer, “who said I was flirtin’?”
You scoffed, but your pulse betrayed you, fluttering wildly beneath his gaze. “Oh, please. You’re not subtle.”
Jasper hummed, tilting his head as if considering your words. Then, before you could react, he reached out, knuckles brushing against the curve of your jaw, tilting your chin up ever so slightly.
And just like that, all the breath left your lungs.
“Wouldn’t dream of bein’ subtle with you, darlin’,” he murmured, voice dipping into something lower, rougher. “I like makin’ sure you know exactly what’s on my mind.”
His thumb skimmed over your cheekbone, featherlight but searing, and you swore the entire world narrowed to the space between you.
Jasper didn’t just flirt.
He unraveled.
And you? You were already his to begin with.
***
It took you longer than you’d like to admit to realize the truth—why Jasper’s presence made something in your chest tighten, why the thought of him looking at anyone else with that quiet, devastating charm made your stomach twist.
Why being near him felt like gravity had finally stopped fighting you.
You were mates.
The realization hit you like a lightning strike, searing through every nerve, setting your entire world ablaze.
Jasper must have seen it in your face—how the pieces suddenly clicked together—because something flickered in his eyes.
“Ah,” he murmured, voice softer now, edged with something more vulnerable. “So you finally figured it out.”
Your breath hitched. “You knew?”
His lips curved into something painfully fond. “Course I knew, sugar.”
His fingers ghosted along the inside of your wrist, right where your pulse thundered. It was such a simple touch, but it might as well have been an earthquake, shaking everything you thought you knew.
“Jasper,” you whispered, barely able to get the words out.
He smiled, but it wasn’t the teasing, flirtatious smirk he usually wore. It was something else—something deeper, warmer.
“I’ve been waitin’ for you,” he admitted. “Didn’t wanna push you before you were ready to see it. But I’ve known from the second I laid eyes on you.”
Something swelled in your chest, too big, too much.
You swallowed hard. “And now?”
His hand slid up, fingers threading gently through yours, fitting so perfectly it almost hurt.
“Now,” he said, voice dipping into that low, devastating drawl, “I finally get to kiss my girl.”
And then he did.
His lips found yours in a kiss that was slow and deep, stealing the air from your lungs, grounding you and setting you free all at once.
It was the kind of kiss that felt like forever.
Because with Jasper?
Forever had already begun.

°Reader's POV°
I had only been to the Cullen's house a number of times. I mean, Jasper never really wanted me there, just in case. However, Emmett and Alice would invite me over and I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to see them.
I knocked on the door and Edward, expecting Bella, swung it open, his face fell before he cheered himself up again.
"Hey Y/n!" he said, an obvious fake smile on his face.
"You know you can just ask me about Bella right? We are friends." I sighed, still standing on the porch.
He laughed under his breath before letting me in. "She's at the Rez, she wanted to go see Jacob but she's coming here later on" I said to him, and with that he raced upstairs.
The way I found out about the Cullens was accidental. Jasper didn't tell me, nor did Bella, I found out in the most stupid way possible. I went round Bella's house, after visiting Seth for the day and Charlie told me to just head up to her room. I got there, opened the door and Edward was trying his best to scramble himself off of the ceiling, but his trouser leg was caught on a hook. The pair of them froze when I opened the door, as did I. That's when they had to let me know. Although now I think about it, they could've found an excuse.
That night Jasper came to my house. He was expecting me to ignore him, to tell him to leave, but I didn't. I don't think there's anything that could make me think any less of him. We sat in my back garden, and talked. I asked about his life as a vampire, he asked about my life as a human. I asked questions, as did he. He showed me his power and we laughed together for hours. At no point did it feel awkward, we just lay together on the grass looking at the stars. Of course, it hadn't rained in the past day so it was lucky we could lay on the grass at all.
I didn't realise just how long we were outside until I saw the smallest slither of the sun begin to peak over the horizon. Jasper rose to his feet as I asked another question, and said he needed to go, he took my hand ever so gently and kissed it so softly that I almost didn't feel it, then he left, in quite litteraly the blink of an eye.
That, even though the context of it is rather stupid, is one of my favourite memories. "Ehem.." Alice pulled me out of my thoughts. "You were daydreaming again" she clarified.
"Thanks Alice...is Jasper out hunting?" I asked, placing my jacket down on a chair.
"No, he's upstairs, c'mon I'll take you." she said, happily. We reached the top of the stairs and there he was, on the sofa reading. He looked up, and met my eyes.
Usually, if I came round, I'd take off my jacket and he'd be down the stairs instantly. He would stay with me, right behind me, he would take a step closer if any of the others looked at me for too long or if I stupidly stumbled over a fancy rug. But today, he was on the other side of the room. He still kept his eyes locked on mine, his beautiful golden eyes, but was meters away from me.
I walked over to him and sat down next to him. "Hey Jasper" I smiled.
He drew his arms closer to himself and sped off. I was confused until he sat back down again, with a hoodie on. "Thought vampires were immune to the cold or something?" I joked, trying to see that devilish smile, I'd grown all too familiar with.
"Something like that.." He smiled slightly, meeting my eyes once more. He seemed worried, something was on his mind.
"What's wrong?" I asked, eyebrows knitting together.
"I thought I was supposed to be the empath?" Jasper asked, smirking slightly, reluctantly drawing his eyes away.
I smiled "Don't change the subject, Cowboy" I playfully shoved his shoulder. "What's bothering you?"
He took a deep breath, not that he needed to, and met my eyes again once more. He stood up, and held out his hand for me to take. I placed my hand in his, and rose to my feet. He began to walk upstairs, and I followed close behind. We got to his room and he shut the door, letting go of my hand and walking towards the window.
"Is this where you show me your glittery skin? because 1: it's not sunny, just cloudy as always, and 2: Edward already showed me, he was way too eager." I said.
Jasper smiled once more as he rolled up the sleeves to his hoodie. "Are those sarcastic remarks constant, Darling? Or are you just in a funny mood?" He asked, turning his head to face me as his smile lingered.
"Jasper you should know by now, I make jokes all the time, even in situations I definitely shouldn't.." I said, subconsciously not paying attention to what jasper was trying to show me. I walked over to him standing next to him, explaining how my humour is subjective depending on who I'm with and the reasons I am the way I am. I turned and stood infront of him, using my hands to emphasise my words, before I was cut off by his hands gently wrapping around my wrists.
"A much as I love your voice, you're rambling, Darling" he said, smiling, and letting go.
I placed my hand over my mouth "I'm so sorry..I do that sometimes.." I mumbled against my hand.
He smiled again, "I know." he said, barely above a whisper.
He stood in the light of his window, his arms on show. "What did you want me to see?" I asked. He nodded down to his arms, so I looked.
His arms and the inside of his wrists were covered in bite marks and scratches. I took ahold of one of his arms and used my free hand to gently trace the scars I could see. He didn't wince or pull away from me, he just watched me as I stay fascinated by his scars. I tried to speak, but my throat wouldn't let me.
"..who did this?" I eventually managed to say, it wasn't very loud, but I knew he heard it anyway.
"Several newborn vampires" he answered. I lifted my head up and looked at him, guilt riddling my body. I felt the tears welling up in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall.
"I was somewhat manipulated by the woman who turned me. I thought...she loved me." I could hear the anguish in his voice. "but she was just using me, because of my gift. She wanted newborn vampire armies, I had the ability to control them. And once she was finished with them, I had to kill them off." his lip was slightly quivering now, and he shut his eyes. "I could feel everything they felt.." He didn't want to continue, I could tell. "She-"
I cut him off. Not with words. I placed my lips on one of his most prominent scars and kissed it gently. I looked back up at him as he opened his eyes in confusion. I turned back to his arms, in search for another bite. Each and every scar I could see received the same loving kiss I gave the first one.
"...what are you doing?" he asked, his voice shaken. I didn't answer, and instead just carried on, turning his arm every which way in order to kiss him.
"why are you-" he cut himself off this time. As I planted the last kiss on his wrist.
I looked up and he stay looking at his arms. I lowerd them back down to his sides, and lifted his chin up. "You're beautiful."
°Jasper's POV°
If my heart was still beating...
Out of every possibility I ran through my head before this, this was not one of them. She lifted up my chin, and my eyes met hers. Her beautiful, beautiful eyes.
"I-" I tired to speak, but the burning sensation flaming down my throat stopped me.
"don't." She said, placing her hands around my waist and taking a small step closer. "just..." She finished her sentence, by placing her head on my chest, and hugging me softly. I breathed inward, Carlisle said it helps, and after trying so hard to ignore the urge, I slowly brang my arms around her and hugged her back, resting my head on hers.
I could feel it radiating from her, but I didn't want to accept it, if I did, it would change everything, put my family in danger, put her in danger..but I felt it too. Is it a crime?
To love someone?
