My spouse and I have been cosplaying together for over two decades, and our fandoms don't always coincide. So when it did with The Witcher, we decided we had to get some photos together...totally romantic, right?! 😘 I can't recommend allisonthephotographer (instagram) enough! She was a pleasure to work with, helped with posing, got us out of the heat fast, and sent us proofs quickly! This is just a preview shot! So excited to share the rest in the future!

Being a cosplayer means spending three months scouring the internet for screen-accurate fabrics, going through the episode frame by frame to get the best possible references, spending three-ish years (on and off) making the costume and planning a performance, just to go up on stage for two minutes and 24 seconds to perform a silly song from a silly musical.

It was awesome.

OMFG! HIS LUTE IS SO BIG!

Okay, now I'm really happy, because I always thought I'd made my lute a bit too big for my Jaskier costume (the lutes he uses, on the show, really tend to be on the smaller side), but it's not as bad as I thought after all!!! 🤗❤️
