I don't know that the dude is a Shanks twin or clone or what. We pointedly did not see the other side of the face.

I mean. We haven't seen any celestial dragons warp like that outside of the gorosei. It's too convenient and, quite frankly, intimidating enough to be empowering. There's no way a regular ol' cd wouldn't use it. Marines wouldn't be shocked to see it if regular ones could use it because they WOULD.

So my thoughts from there...

Did Garling become younger when he was made an elder? We don't know what kind of deal-with-the-devil shenanigans might be involved. They could be granted youth and then slow aging. But in that case, who is the other person?

Is this another Garling-child (Shanks gone, gotta make another)? If so, is the other one a sister? Are they gaining special priviledge based on their dad's promotion?

Is this a special unit of the Holy Knights? Figarland was the leader, and he's definitely promoted. If so, did they always have the ability to warp, or is this something Figarland is allowing/enabling due to his promotion? If they did always have the ability to do that, or at least super high ups, higher than CP0, why were they not deployed in other situations (ex: to take out Luffy on Wano—the supposed super elite Holy Knights could've warped instead of relying on CP0). If they are Holy Knights, I'm inclined to think the likely physical relation to Garling is the cause of warp-ability.

On the last one, further, is this a case of being allowed to let them to warp SPECIFICALLY because of the dire nature of their situation? (Imu/etc. are not happy about Joyboy revival or the broadcast OR a Punk satellite escaping.)

I am very inclined to think the summoning circle shenanigans are directly tied to Imu and their power, and/or the mysterious powers (fruit? Not fruit? Some other curse??) of the elders.

And I am entirely at a loss as to who could be talking over the snail, and if that's related.

Like maybe Garling is the one on the other line. But I don't feel like I have enough info to know.

Whitebeard was probably referencing Figarland due to the age of the God Valley incident so that's what makes me think a Shanks clone or twin is unlikely. Sibling or de-aged father figure though, yeah, seems possible. But I gotta wait and seeee.

I know that the running theory right now is Shank's twin, but honestly, I'm inclined to believe it's a clone. Maybe a special one commissed for Garling to replace the child he lost, who knows. But the clone thing seems to be a running theme.

they cloned the seven warlords (who's even to say that the seraphim are the first tries) they cloned Stussy from the Rocks Pirate (the most regular-sized human of the bunch so maybe there's like a limit and Shanks is the most regular-sized yonko.) they clone devil fruits. It definitely feels like a setup for something much bigger and a cloned shanks is very much in that realm

like that really is the only explanation I have for why the "twin' looks so much like shanks. I mean it's one thing to be two siblings that look exactly alike (which isn't out of the norm for Oda) but to wear their hair virtually the same and have the same scraggly mustache even though he would have been raised as a proper celestial dragon with all the "propriety" and better fashion sense that entails and just generally everything (we've already been shown that either the clones are drawn to the same look as their original or it is forced upon them to make them resemble as close as possible.)

I don't know the idea that the world government would clone Shanks because why the hell not isn't so far-fetched honestly it might even be a clone of garling himself to explain the age.

Shanks holds a lot of power in the world a lot of people are known to trust him and he holds particular sway with the giants something that would be very valuable to the world government. And of garling's his dad it'd be pretty easy to get access to that DNA.

but yeah I'm interested to see how this plays out.

Ok but. Mustache Law in the manga. is killing it

Even though he looks like a drag king on a budget. Like, girl, that cute little beard is drawn on with eyeliner pencil. (I know the beard is the real deal but the mustache incriminates it somehow) Don't know how a mustache manages to make this guy look less masculine but I'm into whatever gender presentation this is:

Overall a big fan of shady gangster mastermind Trafalgar Law being quietly satisfied that his grand plan seems to be coming together. Robin going: "You have a wicked look on your face" and Law turning his back, nonchalant and cool as fuck. Except he's hiding a tiny eyebrow twitch and this sly little smile behind his mustache like a sneaky villain twiddling his fingers. How would he be able to control the navy? Hohohoh >:)
