I don’t usually splurge for extravagant gifts for myself, but I just had to! A few days ago, I got myself three new ink refills for my pens for professional use, but I got myself five new pens that are just too adorable!

They all have black ink with tips that are 0.5mm and my gosh!!! They write so well!

The little girl mascot is so adorable and I love the pastel colors for the exterior of the pens! Plus, gotta love the acrylic (is that what it’s called???) little things at the top of the pen that also functions as a clip so I can attach it to my notebook or whatever.

So adorable!

There was also a Spy X Family themed one, but I was already spending too much and I’m more of a casual watcher anyway.

"端午の節句" or "こどもの日" is Japanese public holiday in 5/5. the day of boys, praying for their health and live. incidentally, "ひな祭り" is the day of girls in 3/3, the girls's version of "こどもの日".

Also ”柏餅” is the special snack in 5/5. sweet boiled (and mashed) white beans mixed with miso inside mochi, wrapped with Kashiwa oak leaf.

leaf doesn't eat but only for scent. each material have meaning of health and longevity.

however, mochi is the most killing food in Japan.

I learned it's easier to learn verbs in their ない form first, vs. their dictionary form first. Makes recognizing the difference between Godan and Ichidan verbs 100% easier and removes the need to "remember" the "hidden/fake/lying" verbs that parade as the other verb type. The trick to doing it is far easier and I hate how Genki teaches it in the book. Leaving me with only having to learn the conjugation patterns for Ichidan, Godan, and Irregular verbs. Far, far easier.
