Honestly, i never knew what it was to be consumed by the maddening flames of love, until i fell for her. She took me in, slowly, singeing my flesh with each breath. Her touch lingered over every inch of my body, And the million feelings that poured out of me, fuelled the maddening flames of love, that my heart was set on. I could think of nothing else, but ways to express my love for her, pushing myself to different levels altogether, just to ensure that i have loved her enough. It was like an undiagnosed disease that was slowly growing on me. And even if i wanted to get away, it was as if she owned my world, my thoughts, my instincts and inhibitions. Every time I thought I was in control of my emotions, I ended up losing more pieces of my sanity.  And i thought it was all fine, to be engulfed in this wildfire of love, even though I was setting my world on fire. It was suicidal! But then, it was the only way I had known to be in love. And so, every single day, she would take me in, slowly, and smile from the corner of her eyes and say things that made me feel special, the way I wanted her to feel, and she wanted me to. And there was a time when she was sure that there was nothing to trade our moments of togetherness. And, all that mattered then, were these beautiful dreams that our imagination weaved, and these beautiful moments of love that our souls kindled together. The mad fire of love!    And that was perhaps it. The reason. The spark that ignited our world. It's like when you strike two flints for too long, it unwittingly sets everything to fire. My world revolved around hers, and she knew of nothing else but me, and this is what engulfed us. And it was too late to realise, for everything we had touched was already set to fire, including ourselves. .and when she walked out of my life, she had taken away everything, except the ashes of her memory. The memories that I still carry in the urn of our relationship.
