Okay I have yet ANOTHER AU idea and it's vaguely historical fantasy setting where, due to their respective fathers' deaths and alliance, Jango is king of Mandalore with Satine as his heir (despite being less than a decade younger than him).

Jango arranges for Satine to marry the grandson of the Jedi count Dooku, which is fine, they find out they get along well enough, but they have trouble conceiving. Since this is a Dualsex Obi-Wan setting, the solution to this incredibly uncomfortable situation is for Jango to get Obi-Wan pregnant in hopes that Satine's the one with low fertility, because that's basically his stepsister and Jango does NOT want to fuck her.

Obi-Wan does get pregnant, but then they find out that so did Satine, and Jango's house is just full of his pregnant heir, her pregnant husband, and two under-tens with anger issues (because Obi-Wan brought his illegitimate half-brother with him, and the kid has some ongoing conflict with Bo-Katan).

I think that while Satine has zero interest in going through another birth, Obi-Wan... really wants more kids and Misses Being Pregnant so it's time for an awkward conversation with Jango about helping out again.

Satine's pregnancy was Korkie, and Obi-Wan's was Boba... plus maybe more. Not sure if the first two Obi-Wan pregnancies should be Boba+Cal, then Omega, Boba+Omega, then Cal, or Boba, then Cal+Omega, or if I should scrap Boba being the oldest Jangobi baby, and have his first be Alpha-17 or something. There's room for a bunch of kids, I think Obi-Wan wants a whole lot of pregnancies in this AU.

Satine's a bit uncomfortable about the sperm donor being Jango of all people, but whatever, that's what being royalty is like, and honestly when it comes to pregnancy, she's very 'better you than me' about it because ow.

Kesett Modern AU Headcanons:

Boba is the youngest of his fam, with his dad being Jango then goes Cody (married to Obi, both 26), Bly 25 (married to Aayla 25), Ponds 24, Wolffe 22, Fox 22 (married to Quinlan 24), Rex 20, Boba 18 (other clones are 1st cousins)

Cal and Boba were 16 when they met each other

All Mandalorians live in a community, kinda like Arabic Communities, just sprinkled around with Mandalorian Shops nearby and some neighborhoods with large groups of them

They all know each other and talk/gossip, especially about the younger Gen.

Because of this, Boba keeps his social life away from all that

Cal attends the same high school and they share a few classes (that’s how they met)

They both went to a party, got high, and made out/mostly talked in the backyard for several hours

The Monday of school, Boba asked Cal out on a date and they’ve been together ever since

They both really like each other but Boba keeps it a secret from his fam (Cal’s fam knows and have met Boba)

They are able to keep it a secret for a long time with the help of their friends

Bobas family have met Cal but under the pretense of being friends

At first they kept it a secret because they didn’t know how serious they were. When they were ready, it was hard to bring it up

Cal is adopted by Jaro Tapal, who isn’t home during the week due to work, but he is home on weekends

Boba and Cal are eventually caught by Bossk, Boba’s other father (not in a relationship with Jango but Jango needed help and Bossk was there a lot)

Boba and Cal were kissing outside of the school at the end of the day and Bossk went to pick Boba up (Boba’s car was being borrowed by Wolffe) and Bossk came too early

Bossk is like ‘okay why do I care’ and doesn’t tell anyone bc he thinks Boba’s panicked face is funny

Bossk’s condition for keeping it a secret is that he gets to be there when Boba tells everyone

It ends up during a large family party (a lot of relatives are there, not his brothers spouses, just his brothers), one of Boba’s cousins who hates Boba asked about Boba’s boyfriend at the table, like everyone knew

He pretended to be shocked that Boba hadn’t told anyone (he eavesdropped on them talking about dates and sneaking out)

You could hear a pin drop

It was quickly a brawl between the two, with Boba winning via breaking his nose

He ran out with his brothers clamoring after him, stopping when his father came into the yard and yelled at them

Boba ended up at Cal’s place, spending the night there

Both of them went over the next day, to introduce Cal quietly

Unfortunately, all his brothers and their partners were still there so it was more

Boba walks in and calls for his dad, everyone peaks out to see them, Cal pales and tries to walk out, Jango seats them all away and talks to the boys outside

it goes pretty well, Jango likes Cal but doesn't give him the shovel talk because Cal already looks like he's about to keel over and die

Jango doesn't pity him enough to save him from his children and has Cal go inside while talking to Boba outside

Cal looks traumatized after that and has yet to say a word without seeming like it was under duress

The whole night goes well but no one really *knows* anything about cal by the end of it

Fett Fam: we aren’t that intimidating, whys he so afraid? Cal: *inside his head* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA but also Boba asked me to be here so imma do my best :D but also AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

It isn’t until a few more meetings that they actually start to get to know him

Unfortunately, due to his fam knowing, Boba and Cal are more limited in their dates (and other more intimate activities, tho no one knows about this)

Bad to worse when a month or so later Rex walks in on them making out that’s more bordering on having sex with clothes on

Cue the ‘use protection talk’ that turns into ‘you’ve been doing this how long’ to ‘my baby brother is innocent and is a baby!’

So now they are limited to any fun activities outside of either home which has caused problems but they deal

Cal has a chance to meet the Fett family spouses during a family dinner turned storm hideout for the weekend

It was raining hard and supposed to be bad but as dinner continued the power went out and the streets were undrivable so no one could get home

Cal bonded surprisingly well with Aayla Obiwan and Quinlan and they eased him about being a part of the family

Despite being introduced to both families, they keep it rather private and just between them

A few weeks before leaving for college, both families decide to have a whole get together to meet (though Boba limited them to just his direct family, no cousins or aunts/uncles)

Cal and Boba are nervous but Jaro and Jango do the ‘dad’ thing and talk shop about whatever dads talk about and that eases everyone

To no one surprise, they get married after college and move into an apartment an hour from Jango’s home

They use Mandalorian traditions for the wedding, gifting knives, the vows, and exchange arm cuffs worn on the upper arm (instead of the vambrance, a modern substitute. Cal gets a set of armor later.)

99/ DF 99 - Drive Force 99 Livery: black and red Drivers: Tech and Crosshair Principle: Hunter Race Engineers: Cid & Rampart Chief Mechanic: Echo (former driver but a crash took 3 limbs and he’s dedicated to making the safest car on the track) Pit Crew: Wrecker Omega is a junior driver being mentored by Tech

One of the newer teams on the grid, over the three years they’ve been racing they’ve climbed their way to mid-front of the grid. Tech has one win under his belt, and both he and Crosshair have a handful of podiums.

Jedi - Sabertech Jedi Livery: White & Gold Drivers: Anakin and Obi-Wan Principle: Yoda Race Engineers: Rex & Cody

The most dominant team on the grid. They have the highest number of 1-2 finishes ever with these two drivers, and Anakin has been winning by several seconds most races for the last few years. Jedi is one of the oldest teams and Yoda has been team principal for 30 years.

Ghost - Ghost Rebel Racing Livery: Bright orange Drivers: Hera & Sabine Principle: Kallus Race Engineers: Kanan & Ezra Pit Crew: Zeb Team dog: Chopper!! (He frequently escapes the garage to try and bite other team’s pit crews & tires)

Hera is known as one of the best drivers on the grid and usually finishes in the points. The team overall however is solidly middle of the pack. Sabine has a new helmet design nearly every race, and it’s always her own design.

Mantis - Haxion Mantis Livery: Navy Drivers: Cal & Merrin Principle: Greez Race Engineers: Cere & Cordova BD-1 is Cal’s emotional support dog

Mantis debuted this year, and put themselves solidly in the middle of the pack. As well, both their drivers are rookies. A massive gamble, but it appears to be paying off. Cal has been close to top 3 several times, and Merrin’s driving style makes other drivers back off.

Padawan - Padawan ST Livery: sky blue Drivers: Ahsoka & Barriss Principle: Mace Windu Race Engineers: Plo & Luminara

The “junior” team for Jedi, these drivers are being groomed to one day take over the Jedi seats. As such, they are mid-front of the grid. Neither have their maiden win yet, and Ahsoka in particular is vocal about wanting to beat Anakin even as she looks up to him as a mentor.

Run - DP Smuggler’s Run Livery: Forest Green Drivers: Phee & Hondo Principle: Shep Race Engineers: Chewbacca & ??

This team has evolved a lot, and Shep is new as team principal and Phee is new as a driver to this team. Like Hera, Phee is a phenomenal driver despite the car being mid-back of the pack. On the track Phee seems to like testing other drivers - Tech in particular.

TT - Tantiss Technologies Livery: Aqua blue Drivers: Scorch & ? Principal: Nala Se Race Engineers: Hemlock & Emerie

Another team that has changed a lot, this year they gained a name change (formerly Tipoca Tech), and the only person retained on the team was Nala Se. They are focused on engineering the perfect car, and are thought to ignore safety for speed.

Mirrormask Livery: Grey Drivers: Fives & Boba Principle: Jango Race Engineers: Mayday & Kix

Mirrormask is an old team, and Jango used to be their star driver back when they were dominant on the field. Now they’re more a mid-back team but they hope is that rookie Boba can turn things around for him like his father.

Sith - Sith RuleTwo Livery: red Drivers: Ventress & Maul Principle: Dooku Race Engineers: Savage & Talzin

This team could be front of the grid if the drivers could get along with each other. They are more likely to take out each other (or in Maul’s case take himself out going after Obi-Wan) than finish the race. Dooku is hoping to get his drivers in check but it’s not going well so far.

Pods - Pods Racing Livery: tan Drivers: Sebulba & ?? Principle: Watto

If they finish a race it’s considered a miracle. There’s discussion of the whole team being replaced as they are known for playing dirty and using sabotage on their opponents and illegal parts in their cars.

“Yes,” Obi-Wan quickly replies before he can change his mind. He reminds himself for the tenth time that this is for Cal and surely he can pretend to be happily mated with his son's father for more than hour.

Obi-Wan needs to get Cal into a prestigious Catholic school, but nuns don't take particularly well to single, young, unmated omega parents. Out of options and pressed for time as Cal's 5th birthday quickly approaches, Obi-Wan proposes to Jango. No, not like that.

Caught somewhere in time Chapter 6 preview

“Everybody leaves me.” The words are so soft, but send a glare of cold ice through his veins.

“Boba…”

“Don’t. Don’t make a promise you can’t keep. You’re gonna be called away to war again. You’ll leave me, again. And I’m just… stuck here as a prisoner. They won’t even let me see my dad!”

He’s not quite sure what to say to that. It’s wrong. Jango Fett is not a good man. Most of the time. But his son is innocent. And even bad men can be decent or even good fathers, who deserve to see their children from time to time.

“I’m sorry.”

“Yeah… me too.” Boba walks on at those words, keeping his gaze to the floor and his arms across his chest.

Anakin and Ahsoka are already waiting for them when they arrive.

The second they step into the circular room, Cody’s familiar voice rises to meet them.

“Generals, with all due respect. But Fett hasn’t seen his son in six months and it is-“

“- A strategy to withhold him his parental rights. We’re not talking about a run-of-the-mill criminal here, commander. This man attempted to assassinate Senator Amidala, and chose to uphold his contract with Count Dooku.” Master Mundi says.

“Which he also broke at the battle of Geonosis, general. An action that must not be taken lightly. The man is still a Mandalorian.”

“I’m afraid that is not a-“

“-He’s right,” Mom says. “Mandalorians do not break their contracts easily. There are few exceptions that allow it. That Fett broke his speaks volumes. I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve his due diligence. But a visit from his son is appropriate.”

"Hmm, yes. Curious, is it not? Saved little Cal Kestis, Jango Fett has. Gone out of his way, he did. Very curious, yes." Master Yoda looks at mom with a look that he can only describe as bemused antagonism.

Day Five: Fathers/Meeting the parents

For Cal, if we go the No Order 66 route, I think Jaro Tapal would put on a bit of an intimidating facade just to mess with both his padawan and Boba but he'd drop it as soon after. If we're going with canon and Cere, I think she'd integrate Boba until Greez tells her to lay off because Cal is a big boy who can handle himself.

For Boba, we already know Jango hates the Jedi and though he would support Boba in anything else he just can't support him in this. Jango wouldn't even try to get to know Cal he would just leave. But then we'd get the clones being supportive of their relationship and that would remind Boba he's got more than just his father.

Kesett Week Week Day 5: fathers/meeting the parents

Ok so first of all AU where Jango lives

When Jango hears Boba has a boyfriend he’s skeptical at first and when he hears it’s a Jedi even more so

When Boba finally brings Cal to meet him he tries to act the threatening and intimidating because that’s how you’re supposed to act with your kid’s significant others, right?

But to his surprise it does not work at all

First of all Boba warned him Jango might try that. Second Cal managed to get through to Boba, Trilla, and Merrin all of whom did their best to be stand offish and tried to kill him

After he gives up on the threatening parent act he discovers he actually likes Cal

He discovers Cal is actually fairly tough and seems to understand a lot about mandalorian culture (I firmly believe Boba was raised on it because before Disney jumped in he identified with it in old books and comics)

Jango decides that he’s actually alright with the guy his son chose

Irina laughs softly, "Well..." she looks to Cole, giving him a big grin, "There's... actually a mother speaking right now..."

Cole stops laughing at the joke Malus just told him to the side and blinks, staring at her for a long moment. "I- are you serious?" he whispers, studying her features, "You're... you know for sure?"

She tears up and nods softly, one hand drifting to her stomach as the other reaches to hold his cheek. "You're going to be a father," she whispers back, laughing wetly as he leans in to press their foreheads together and pull her into his arms.

"Oh my gods..." Cole shakes his head in disbelief, "I- I love you so much," he breathes, kissing her deeply as the whole family cheers.

Galin starts a drumbeat on the table along with a celebration chant, Kaz quickly joining in with Chernan and Jango. Boba doesn't join, but he watches the couple with a soft smile, thinking of Cal in this moment now more than ever. How he wishes Cal could be here.

The chant only lasts a few seconds, but it fills the room with joy in its short lifetime anyway, Irina and Cole practically glowing as they clap.

"Excellent, gentlemen," Cole laughs, taking Irina's hand when he stops clapping. "Thank you for the blessing."

Cal and Boba are survivors, and orphans, both carrying the heavy weight of legacy: Cal of the fallen Jedi order, and Boba of his father, Jango Fett. They both have a terrible sense of humour and a fondness for dramatics. They're competent, smart, and awkward. They're similar and different at the same time, which makes them such a great pair. They're the I would die for you - I would kill for you couple.

I was wondering if you remembered what those jangobi fics were. That sounds like a really cool concept and I would like to read it.

So there’s only two with the “Boba ships Jangobi” thing that I’ve read but here they are. The summaries aren’t official, this is just what I personally have to say about Boba’s reaction to the possibility of Jango/Obi-Wan.

Not a Good Man: Boba pulled a mental time travel from a future where post-O66 Obi-Wan had regularly checked in on him to help and mentor him, as an older friend. Boba, once back in his 10yo body, decides that he needs his Actual Dad to date the Casual Father Figure, obviously. He keeps talking up his dad to Obi-Wan like “yes look he can cook and he’s a good dad you should totally get closer to him.”

Late Night Bounty Call: NSFW and A/B/O, contains references to uncomfortable tropes on the latter front, so tread forward at your own risk. I enjoyed it overall, but... well, omegaverse isn’t for everyone. Jango keeps hooking up with Obi-Wan for omegaverse reasons (well, twice for omegaverse reasons, once just because they were in the same area and make bad decisions), and Boba’s just like "you keep doing this, buir, why don't you just admit you like him" while Jango insists that he still hates the Jedi.

I can't remember if this one has him actively shipping or just wants them to get along as friends but it's close enough to count: They Don't Care About Us: Different time travel fic (features Cal Kestis) where Boba definitely wants his dad and Obi-Wan to get along for plot reasons, but is suitably horrified when they start flirting.

Luluuuuuu! There was only one cell, with Kesett our beloved.

Alright this one was trickier and def not as fluffy. It's more pre-slash than shippy but it was fun to write!

I hope you like it I shall now go back to my cave but my askbox is always open!

The ceiling has a crack, it’s a long, thin line that winds around the duracrete slabs. The ray shield that closes the cell paints it a little pink in some angles. The crack is maybe two meters long, he tried to measure it in his head but without any tools other than his own body it’s complicated.

Maybe he could do something with the crack? It indicates a weakness surely. Except the hardest thing he has in this cell is a bit of plastoid he broke from a plate. He could use it as a weapon to threaten the guard in letting him go probably.

Noise echoes in the corridor and Boba sighs. Being imprisoned is so dull. It was when he was fourteen and it is now that he’s nineteen. He really could kill the guard, he thinks again. Escape easy. It’s not like this place is really secure. He could have made someone escape when he was eleven.

The guard’s steps get closer and he rises up. Can’t waste this opportunity. He palms his sharpened bit of plastoid in his hand, rests his weight on the ball of his feet.

The guard stops in front of his cell. He’s carrying someone. It gives Boba pause. Who is the guy? He doesn’t look good. His hair is hanging upside down from the carry the guard has him in and his skin is so pale it looks sickly.

The guard points his blaster to Boba through the shield then with his free hand he opens it long enough to drop the guy inside. He closes the ray shield before Boba can pull himself together enough to attack. Damn it. Next meal maybe.

The guard snickers at him.

“Enjoy your new cellmate, you’re both going to Imperial Center together soon.”

Then he leaves.

Imperial Center. That’s what they call Coruscant these days. Damn. What could the Empire possibly want with him? He’s just a bounty hunter. Sure, his father was Jango Fett but… It never seemed to interest them before.

He distracts himself by poking at the guy. He has red head, a lot of freckles and what looks like a blaster scar across the face. Pretty distinctive. He mut have a bounty on his head because he reminds Boba of something. He prods at the man’s shoulder with his toes. The red head groans and bats at his legs like he’s trying to chase a fly. Boba sighs and rolls his eyes. Fine. Hard way it is, then.

“Get up!” he shouts, “I don’t have all day.”

The man groans again then turns on his side slowly. He glances at Boba, then again, his eyes unfocused. The third time must have woken him up. He freezes, then scutters backward until his back is to the cell’s wall. Wonderful.

“Who are you? What- Where is…?”

“Kuat. And if you value your life, you’ll help me so we can both escape before we’re bound for Coruscant.”

The red head frowns, stares at his face like he just grew another head. Seriously, he knows he’s not bad looking but… Oh. Imperial Center, clone face. Of course.

“I’m Boba Fett. Stop staring at my face. Now can we get a move on?”

The guy shakes his head and wince.

“Cal Kestis. You… Never mind. You have a plan?”

“Grab the guard next time he opens the cell and use him as a hostage to get out.”

Kestis pinches his lips and bites his lip. Then he gets up slowly, leaning on the wall carefully.

“It won’t work. I’m too valuable, they won’t chance to lose me for a guard.”

Boba curses when the implication fully hits him. Of course, he had to get a Jedi cellmate. Just his luck. Kriff, why does this dump only has one cell? He’d have been fine on his own. Now he has no choice but to escape with the Jedi unless he wants to spend a very unpleasant time on Imperial Center.

“Don’t you have magic Force power or something?”

Kestis shrugs then he extends his hand in front of him, closing his eyes. Nothing happens. For some time. Then he opens his eyes and winces. Right. No Force magic then. Boba sighs.

“Great. Just… Stay out of my way.”

In the end, they manage to escape and shoot their way out of the detention block. Boba gets his armor back and Kestis his lightsaber. The guy might have some performance issues right now but it doesn’t seem to impair his ability to swing a sword. Also, his ass looks fantastic from behind when he kills stormtroopers.

And if Boba has a weird competence kink for a Jedi that’s between him and the Manda. His buir is not here to judge him any longer.

They find a decent ship – not that hard on Kuat – and once it’s launched in Hyperspace Boba groans and leans back in the pilot’s chair. That went both better and worse than he expected. At least they’re alive if a bit singed on the edges.

Cal- Kestis. Kestis doesn’t look so good, tough. He escapes the cockpit as soon as he can to the ship’s small med bay. Once Boba is sure everything is alright and they won’t risk to end up in a star he joins him.

The red head is shirtless and looking at himself in a mirror, poking at what looks a nasty blow on his head. It must have been hidden by his hair before. Or maybe Boba just didn’t notice. He gets closer and grabs a tub of bacta in the open kit.

“You shouldn’t touch it, you’ll make it worse.”

“Can’t really do worse than a concussion.”

Boba hums and takes his turn in the mirror to apply bacta on the side of his neck. That bolt went closer than he’d like this time.

“Where are we going?” Cal asks.

“Ylesia. Hutt Space. We should be able to lay low for a while there.”

And if at some point during the escape, the “we” started to come out easier… Well Kestis doesn’t have to know.
