Meet JANE VAUGHN, or if you read the Anti Grapevine, PLAIN JANE. She is a 23 year old BARTENDER/UNDER THE RADAR STREET RACER, that currently resides in DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN.

She is known around the city for her INTUITIVE & OVERLY UNSATISFIED demeanor, but they may be hiding something… HOT WIRES EXPENSIVE CARS ON NIGHTS OFF RACING THEM ILLEGALLY BEFORE SELLING THEM ON HER OWN SITE WHERE SHE RESELLS THEM FOR MONEY SHE WANTS BUT NEVER TOUCHS. 

CAMILA MENDES, CIS FEMALE, SHE/HER.

Jane Vaughn, born Anastasia Valieri, has always tried to outrun the life she was born into. Her mother hoped her daughter would follow in her footsteps -- A debutante, dripping in diamonds and vintage Chanel. Unfortunately, she ended up with a rocker who would rather get a new piercing than attend Cotillon. Though she has a relatively good relationship with her mother, she's always strived to forge her own path, and not skate by on her trust fund or family's name. Admittedly, it's lead her into contrarian tendencies -- Sometimes losing focus of why she's doing something, other than it being the opposite of what's expected of a person with her Park Ave Princess roots. She tries to keep her life now and who she was before separate -- Going as far as lying about her background in the hopes of putting genuine distance between them. All she wants is to be a person of her own making, but still finds herself drowning in unspoken expectations. Her family's reputation still clouds everything she does, whether or not it's intentional -- And no matter how many lies she tells, or thrift stores she frequents, the Valieri name isn't done with her yet.

ASHLEY KERWIN, PAIGE MICHALCHUK. unexpected friends. Are Ashley, Jane, and Paige a strange trio? Yes. That’s obvious to anyone, especially them. But, thanks to their mothers, all three of their childhoods were televised via the Real Housewives. ALEX NUNEZ. flirtationship. From the moment these two met, there was an undeniable spark between them. They exchanged flirty comments and subtle touches, each encounter charged with an electric anticipation. As of now, they continue to explore their connection through flirtatious conversations and shared interests, with the potential for something more hanging tantalizingly in the balance.

Hey everyone!! I’ve been wanting to create a Ravenwatch Posting Event of some sort and this is what I’ve come up with!

From July 18th-21st anyone who wants to participate can post any of the following:

or any kind of post really!

I just think it could be a lot of fun for people to post something Ravenwatch related if they wanted to! It can be of any of the Ravenwatch (From main characters to lesser talked about characters like Janeve and Kathad. Even Kallin would count!) I didn’t want it to have a ton of rules or anything because again I just want us to have some fun. if you guys are interested though we could always organize prompts of some sort? Again I just wanted to have fun and post some stuff!

you know if I were to say that any character went through a character assassination it would be jane

in speaker she was a beautiful mix of being unbearably human and still an alien

but in the later books it kinda treated her existence as a person who just happened to be stuck in the philtonic webs and that gaining a human vessel was a rebirth of her existence into "what should have been"

it lost the principal that she was the 4th alien species and not a person who had god like control of the systems

down to the perception of time and ways of thinking she was fundamentally different

and it feels cheap to throw that all away

she would feel joy at laughing, I loved the description of her feeling the human body

but it didn't touch on how slow and drooling the slower cognition would be like

how fundamentally disorienting it would be

too much of the emotions were real and chemical and impulsive and less of the core rooted things that made her alien

she had emotions

in speaker there was no question of it from Jane's side

ender didn't know but he mourned and acknowledged her loss, lamented it infact

but then the later books say oh but it would be so much more realer if there was physical things that you could recognize to go along with it

she lost focus? system failures occurred? obsessive vengeful feelings sprung up? she herself acknowledged that rational was so much easier to think then to go through because of her trauma and change?

I feel like orson scott card forgot she was supposed to be Raman in the later books and it makes me so sad

she was so wonderful

such a breathtaking unique being

there's nothing wrong with janeval

but shes just not the 4th alien species anymore

I mourn the loss of her concept

Misc. Headcanons about the other Ravenwatch ladies

Melina is mostly in love with the idea of being in love. Her enchanter hiring letters put this into more context - she latches onto any eligible man she meets, pretty much, and pines over them until she meets another. With that in mind, the fact that when you can meet her, most of her dialogue is about Fenn while he (never? Possibly once in passing? Anyone feel free to chime in and correct) doesn't mention her makes it seem like this is another passing interest and nothing serious.

Also on Melina: there is a public dungeon in High Isle (Spire of the Crimson Coin) where the quest boss (and presumably owner of the estate) is Bloodmage Cassel. Possibly a case of Cassel being a common surname (another one pops up in the Aldmeri main quest if you're interested) but given the focus on more eldritch/undead/necromantic things in the dungeon, I think that maybe Melina got turned as part of her father's experiments to try and become immortal. Could definitely see her with a few daddy issues after that.

Janeve being turned (if you spare her, which I assume you did) is eventually actually something of a relief for her. With her sister being a very religious zealot and her service in the local military, she's had a life of restricting herself. Becoming a vampire frees her from those obligations and gives her freedom that she didn't have as a mortal. She's able to pursue her own interests and develop as a person, with a support network who will happily encourage this.

Heloise masters her condition really quickly. Not even a headcanon, honestly, even when freshly turned she still has the presence of mind to keep others away. By the end of the Rivenspire Arc, she's able to join the gathering to name the new ruler of Rivenspire and stay around Fairfax without any difficulty. It's possibly because of the drive and discipline to be a healer - if so much of your life and identity had revolved around doing no harm, it's an ingrained habit and something to focus on. (This is also possibly why Fennorian has such a high level of control despite being relatively newly turned, too)
