Spending my night thinking about what could’ve happened if Jane prentiss leveled up and her worms fûcking pupated. Like. Idk we could’ve had a swarm of wasps but we DIDNT bc they KILLED HER. personally I think some of the worms should’ve survived and bc like. Idk. The fear from the attack fed them they pupate and we just have flesh hive two electric boogaloo. Flesh host wasp edition. like yeah hatchetfield is full of star crossed lovers etc etc but let’s talk about how it’s also full of DOOMED SIBLINGS. jane has to die for any number of timelines to exist, and losing her is the direct cause for emma’s role in any number of stories (not to mention everyone else who was affected…); after feeling like her diametric opposite for so long the only thing emma can do is settle in their hometown to find some kind of meaning in all of it. lex is the reason hannah is alive, but what does that mean if hannah’s birth is the event that split the timelines? if all lex wants is to provide for and protect her sister, but events spin beyond their control and make their situation all the worse? hannah can see beyond their world, she knows the end so to speak, but what can she do? how can she protect lex when she barely understands it herself? ted and pete care about each other, but their respective ages and ted’s curse mean their paths cross for too short a time to really appreciate each other, ted being ready to strike out on his own when pete is born, and being gone by the time pete is, with them never having the crucial moments you get when you go through things together. they, at the risk of sounding unbearably on the nose, didn’t have the time. and that’s not even getting into whatever happened with webby and the lords in black; whatever betrayal or split happened to have her working against all five of them, the brothers spreading discord and destruction while she stands alone protecting the world… it’s all so deeply, cosmically tragic

i just finished rereading pride and prejudice and i am going to make a couple of posts about it because damn what a good book but first i want to mention how endearing i find that by the second to last chapter (after jane and mr bingley are engaged) mr bingley is already calling jane’s sisters by their nicknames, like he calls them lizzy and kitty

i don’t know how common it was for the era but i just find it so cute, like sir, sir those are his little sisters already sir, he is not even married yet but those are his girls now😭😭😭

and its even cuter because does it while he is excitedly trying to get mr darcy and elizabeth to walk by themselves he is like “hihihi have you no more lanes hereabouts in which lizzy may lose her way again today? preferably with darcy whom she is engaged to hihihi🤭🤭🤭”

Okay so maybe rewatching Thor for the Loki content was a bad idea because wow the ending of Loki really does parallel the ending of that movie, the way Jane searches for Thor with her scientific equipment because that's how she found him in the first place, the way Mobius waits for Loki at his own spot on the timeline because he knows that's where Loki would choose to be, the way both brothers know their loves still have hope for them and they smile
