Worth It // James Potter
Summary: Your older brother Remus catches you making out with his best friend
Word Count: 1095
It was late, the Gryffindor common room bathed in the warm glow of flickering firelight. The evening had stretched into a quiet lull, the perfect backdrop for studying. You were tucked into the far corner, books and parchment spread out around you, determined to get through your Potions notes. Across from you, James Potter sat with a Transfiguration text open on his lap, though his eyes hadn’t touched it for the past twenty minutes.
He was staring at you. Again.
“James,” you whispered sharply, glancing up just in time to catch the boyish grin that spread across his face. His hazel eyes sparkled with mischief, but there was a softness to them too, something that made your cheeks flush. “Focus. You’re supposed to be studying.”
“I am focusing,” he countered smoothly, leaning forward to rest his chin in his hand, the picture of mischief. “Just not on Transfiguration.”
You rolled your eyes, fighting the smile threatening to break across your face, and buried your nose back in your notes. Ignoring James was a skill you were still trying to master—and failing miserably at. Two weeks. That’s how long you’d been secretly dating James Potter. And in those two weeks, you’d come to realize two things: first, James was impossible to resist. Second, your brother Remus was terrifyingly protective, and if he caught wind of this, well… you’d rather not find out what would happen.
James’s chair creaked as he leaned back, the sound pulling your attention despite your better judgment. His hair was an unruly mess, as always, and his tie hung loosely around his neck. He’d already shrugged off his robes, leaving him in his shirt and jumper, the sleeves pushed up to reveal his forearms. You swallowed hard and looked back down at your notes, but the words blurred together.
“Moony’s not even here,” James said suddenly, his voice breaking the quiet. He pushed his chair back, sliding it closer to yours with a deliberate scrape. “And Sirius went with him. It’s just us. No one to tattle.”
You glanced around the room. It was nearly empty, a trio of first-years dozing by the fire and two seventh-years huddled in a corner. Still, your heart pounded at the thought of someone catching you. “It’s not about tattling,” you muttered, shoving at his chair with your foot. “It’s about… appearances.”
“Love,” he said softly, leaning closer, his voice dipping in that way that made your knees weak even when you were sitting down. “We’re studying. That’s innocent, isn’t it?”
His proximity sent a shiver down your spine, and you found yourself unable to respond. Before you could gather your thoughts, he reached out and gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear, his fingers brushing against your skin. The corner of his mouth quirked upward at the way you froze, caught between shoving him away and pulling him closer.
“Jamie,” you hissed, though there was no real heat behind it.
“Remus isn’t here,” he repeated, his voice full of teasing promise. “And I miss you.”
The warmth in his voice melted your resolve, and for a moment, the world outside the circle of firelight didn’t matter. You studied his face, the freckles scattered across his nose, the way his lashes framed those golden eyes, the faint smirk playing on his lips. His hand lingered near your cheek, and when he tilted his head slightly, your heart stuttered.
“You’re impossible,” you murmured, shaking your head. But there was a smile in your voice, and you knew he heard it.
“And yet, here I am.” His hand moved to your chin, tilting it gently until your eyes met his. The fire crackled in the background, but all you could hear was the steady rhythm of your own heartbeat.
“James,” you whispered again, but this time, it was softer, your voice betraying the battle you were losing.
The next time he leaned in, you didn’t stop him. Instead, you shoved your books aside with a dramatic sigh and, to his visible surprise, launched yourself onto his lap. James let out a startled laugh, his arms instinctively wrapping around you as your lips found his in a kiss that wiped the smug grin right off his face. The kiss was warm, slow, and entirely consuming. His hands traced gentle patterns on your back, pulling you closer as if he couldn’t bear the thought of letting you go.
“You win,” you murmured against his mouth, feeling his chest rumble with laughter as his hands tightened around your waist.
“Oh, I definitely win,” he agreed, his voice low and full of affection.
The moment was perfect. It was warm and quiet and—
The portrait hole slammed open.
“What the bloody—” Sirius Black’s voice rang out, loud and incredulous.
You and James pulled apart so fast you nearly toppled to the floor, but James’s hands steadied you just as Remus' eyes landed on you. His expression twisted from confusion to realization to fury in the span of a heartbeat.
“You…” Remus pointed a finger at James, who immediately shrank back, his cocky demeanor vanishing. “You bloody prat! That’s my sister!”
“Moony, wait—” James began, scrambling out of his chair and nearly tripping over his own feet.
But Remus was already on the move, rounding the sofa with a speed that could only be described as wolfish. James bolted, darting around the furniture, a panicked grin plastered on his face as Sirius leaned against the wall, laughing so hard he could barely breathe.
“She started it!” James shouted over his shoulder, making the mistake of glancing back. Remus lunged, but James dove over the back of the couch, narrowly avoiding him.
“You absolute coward!” you called, half-amused, half-mortified as you hurried to gather your scattered books.
“I’ll show you coward!” Remus yelled, vaulting over the armrest in pursuit. James let out a yelp and ducked behind Sirius, who was now doubled over with laughter.
“Remus, mate,” James tried again, his hands up in mock surrender. “I swear, it’s…” He faltered, glancing at you, his eyes full of pleading. “It’s not what it looks like?”
Remus growled, an actual growl, and James bolted for the stairs.
You couldn’t help it. You burst out laughing, sinking into the nearest armchair as Sirius wiped tears from his eyes.
“I’ll give him a five-second head start,” Remus muttered, shooting you a sharp look that only made you laugh harder. “Then we’re having words, both of you.”
“Worth it,” James called faintly from somewhere up the stairs.
And despite everything, you couldn’t help but agree.

Sunshine [9] - Tranquility
AN: My loves, thank you so so much for your patience! ❤️ You’re amazing! ❤️
I hope you like this as well, and please don’t forget to tell me what you think, thank you! 🥰
Pairing: Logan Howlett x Female!Reader
Summary: Simple days can be calming.
Word Count: 2853
CW: Explicit language, mentions of sex, drinking, adult themes MDNI
Series Masterlist
Well.
This was very fun.
“I mean to repeat, I do have a hammer at home,” you said, leaning your elbows on the cart as you pushed it slowly and Logan raised his brows.
“Just a hammer?”
“Yeah, I wanted to put up that framed picture of me and Theo so Jamie brought it and then forgot it.”
“Exactly why we’re here.”
Home Depot wasn’t really your favorite place to shop in, you couldn’t even remember when the last time you had been there was. Needless to say, you felt a bit overwhelmed as you looked at the aisles with many tools and construction products, but Logan seemed right at home there, and the simple act of going shopping together -whether it was at a store you were familiar with or not- made you feel all warm inside.
Who knew the aftermath of breaking your bed would be fun as well?
Logan grabbed a pack of what seemed like tiny pieces of metal to put it in the cart, and you looked around, then gasped.
“Let’s get these, they look prettier!”
“Screw anchors?”
You tilted your head.
“Well if you feel that strongly about them…”
“No I mean— that’s what they’re called.”
“They’re yellow, I like yellow!” you said, grabbing the pack off the hook to hold it up and Logan chuckled.
“Sweetheart, if we’re going to use them on your bed, they need to be metal. Your bed frame is metal.”
You looked down at the pack. “Oh, these look plastic.”
“Mm hm, they are plastic.”
“Well, where do people use these?”
“On drywall, mostly,” he said. “When you’re hanging—hold on, did Jamie just put a screw into the wall for those frames you mentioned?”
“Yeah.”
He blinked a couple of times, then cleared his throat and took the pack from you to put it into the cart as well.
“Yay!”
“Anything else you want from here?”
You looked over at the shelf, then shook your head and Logan threw an arm over your shoulder to pull you closer to himself as you both went into another aisle.
“So wait, you need to put stuff into the wall to put stuff into the wall?”
“Mm hm.”
“Why?”
“Well, otherwise the screw can slip out of the wall when you hang something,” he said. “Anchors make sure whatever is on the wall doesn’t fall on anyone. It’s the same logic with anchoring furniture.”
“None of my furniture is anchored.”
“Babe, you have a mirror in your living room.”
“I just leaned it to the wall,” you pointed out and Logan heaved a sigh, then gently guided you into another aisle.
“I’m guessing you don’t have a drill?”
“Good guess—Logan, we’re not buying a drill!”
He went closer to one of the shelves to grab one to check it. “Why not?”
“I’m not gonna use it.”
“I’m gonna use it, I don’t want that mirror to fall on you.”
“It’s on the other side of the room.”
“Accidents happen,” he said. “That thing needs to be anchored along with God knows what. Every home needs a drill.”
You scrunched up your face, leaning back to the shelf.
“Debatable,” you said. “Every home needs a medicine cabinet. A drill is just something people in home makeover shows use.”
“What are makeover shows?”
Your jaw dropped. “Oh my God, you’ve never watched those? We’re so watching those, I need your commentary.”
Logan turned the drill in his hand and you bit inside your cheek, trying to fight the urge to jump on him in the aisle of Home Depot. Clearing your throat, you tried to focus and crossed your arms.
“Not that one,” you said and Logan turned his gaze to you.
“Why not?”
“We should get that one,” you pointed at the other drill on the shelf and Logan bit back a smile.
“Babe, that one is 12 volts. This one is 18.”
“Volt isn’t everything,” you said as if you knew what you were talking about and Logan pulled his brows together.
“It is kind of important in a drill—”
“Yeah but Logan, that’s orange,” you said and grabbed the pack of yellow plastic anchors out of the cart to hold it up. “See? They’ll match if we get this one!”
Logan stared at you as if he was trying to find the right words to disagree with you but you pulled your brows together before putting the pack next to the drill so that he could see it better.
“Same shade!” you insisted as you pressed your finger on the drill, looking up at him and the corners of his lips twitched, that fond light shining in his eyes before he nodded slowly, then put the drill in his hand into the shelf to grab the one you were pointing at.
“Okay,” he said. “Let’s get the matching drill then.”
*
At first you had been worried about being too much of a bother when Logan said he’d be fixing your bedframe but now, sitting on the couch eating the snacks you got on your way back home, you couldn’t help but notice Logan looked very comfortable and happy to be helping you out. Right after you got back home, he fixed your bedframe but apparently having a drill and a toolbox within his vicinity had awakened something in him that he was now working on what could be “fixed” in your living room.
You could’ve sworn his face had lit up like a Christmas tree when you mentioned you had shelves somewhere that you had been procrastinating on putting up.
“Are you sure you don’t want my help?” you asked as you popped a piece of chocolate in your mouth and he shook his head, holding the shelf against the wall to draw on where he’d put it up.
“No need princess.”
“I could help, I have some experience in it,” you pointed out. “Not very pleasant experience but experience nonetheless.”
“How’s that?”
“Um, when I was a child, whenever something broke in our house my dad would want to fix it himself,” you said. “And he’d ask me to hold the flashlight and but then scold me for pointing it at the wrong place.”
“Seriously?”
“Oh yeah.”
He looked at you over his shoulder before grabbing the drill and turned it on, making you grimace at the loud noise. He drilled two holes in the wall, then grabbed the plastic anchors and the hammer to nail them in.
You’d had a wet dream like this.
“How did you learn how to do all this?” you asked him and he shrugged his shoulders.
“I’ve been around for some time. You pick up hobbies.”
“And that’s your hobby?”
“I like fixing things,” he said. “And building stuff.”
You sat up straighter, your whole attention on him.
“Okay, so I can add it to the list of things I know about you,” you said with a bright smile. “I’m quite proud of myself you know, growing that list isn’t the easiest thing in the world.”
Logan shot you a small grin. “Subtle.”
“Hey I’m just warning you beforehand,” you said, holding your hands up. “You won’t even see me coming and before you know, you’re opening up to me.”
“Oh is that what’s gonna happen?”
“Yeah,” you said. “I’m too stubborn to quit.”
Logan’s smile was calm before he took a deep breath, then started working on the shelf again.
“It’s just…” he murmured. “A long story, you know? Too much to tell.”
“That’s okay,” you said softly. “I’ve got time. And until then, you can listen to me talk about absolute nonsense.”
“I like doing that, in case it escaped your notice.”
Warmth bloomed in your chest and you took a deep breath, pulling your knees up to your chest.
“So yeah, I apparently held the flashlight wrong. And there was also that one time—I’m just not the best at fixing things, there was that one time Julie tried to teach me how to change a tire but I ended up convincing her to go get mimosas instead. She’s really good at all that, I swear she and IKEA manuals have something going on that the rest of us human kind cannot understand, she built my wardrobe and I honestly just provided her with cookies—oh my God, Logan!” you said with a gasp. “Do you want cookies?”
A fond smile curled his lips as he looked at you over his shoulder.
“No seriously, I know you liked the chocolate chip ones but I’ve been dying to try this new recipe, it has mint chocolate—do you like mint chocolate? I hope you’re not one of those people who say mint chocolate tastes like toothpaste because I am a ride or die mint chocolate lover, but I think I can also make—”
You were cut off when he strode to you to lean down and kiss you, cutting you off before you let out a giggle.
“Yeah,” he said, pulling back to look at you better. “I’d love some.”
You beamed up at him and stole another kiss from him.
“So yes to the mint chocolate cookies then?”
He stroked his thumb over your cheekbone, that loving look in his eye making your heart skip a happy beat.
“Sure thing sweetheart,” he said. “Yes to the mint chocolate cookies.”
*
The more time you spent with Logan, the giddier you felt. You knew that you were supposed to keep yourself in check and play it cool considering everything between you two was very new, but it felt as if since you two had got together, you hadn’t been able to stop smiling.
Or it could’ve been just mind-blowing sex.
Either or.
“I’m not really much of a TV person.”
“And I respect that, but not having seen Titanic is simply just not acceptable,” you said as you poured the popcorn into the bowl and made your way to the couch. He wrapped his arms around your waist to pull you to his lap, making you let out a squeal as you straddled him with a giggle.
“You’re not distracting me this time,” you told him, pecking him on the lips before getting off his lap to sit beside him, still holding the popcorn bowl tight. You grabbed the remote to start the movie while Logan frowned at the screen as if it had personally offended him.
“I mean I heard about it,” he said. “It’s romance, right?”
“The best romance in the history of humankind.”
Logan pulled his brows together.
“So low expectations, got it,” he said. “The title suggests it’s not gonna end well?”
“Listen, they may have only known each other for four days—”
“Four days?!”
“Yeah but it was true love,” you said in a solemn manner, nodding your head and Logan’s frown deepened.
“I don’t think that’s how it works, babe.”
“That’s totally how it works,” you said. “It’s like opposites attract wrapped in star-crossed lovers wrapped in a tragic love story. I watched it for like 50 times, it’s my comfort movie. I always cry at the end.”
“Your comfort movie is a movie that makes you cry?”
“Yeah,” you said and grabbed at his arm when turned to look at the screen. “Look, that’s Jack! That’s who Rose falls in love with—wait, Logan, I have a question.”
“Hm?”
“So you were around when Titanic happened?”
“Yeah.”
“Do you remember it?”
“I remember the news of it, yeah,” he said. “Everyone was shocked by it.”
You took a deep breath to ask him another question but your doorbell rang. You turned your head and stood up but Logan was faster than you, so he walked to the door to open it and as soon as he did, Julie’s voice reached you.
“Holy shit you’re tall.”
“Julie?” you asked as you approached the door and Logan stepped aside. “Hi!”
“Hey, sorry I didn’t…” she motioned at Logan. “It’s just that I texted you and you didn’t answer, and I was on my way here anyway because who just got out of a terrible argument with her ex dickhead of a boyfriend and needed some distraction?”
“Jesus, that asshole again?” you asked and she nodded.
“Yep.”
“Come in!” you said and Julie shook her head.
“No no, I really don’t wanna interrupt your sexy time.”
Logan tilted his head while you shot her a lighthearted glare.
“Come in,” you insisted, pulling her by the arm before closing the door. “We’re watching Titanic. Logan, this is Julie, my best friend. Jules, this is Logan—” you paused for a moment, trying to find the right words.
Boyfriend was a big title and you hadn’t really talked about it before, and you actually didn’t know where Logan stood on this whole thing so you decided to play it safe.
“I told you about him,” you ended up saying and Logan extended his hand.
“Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too,” Julie said, shaking his hand. “You really are a good looking dude, and I was so right about the lumberjack vibes.”
Logan blinked a couple of times as if he didn’t know how to answer. “…Thanks?”
“No problem.”
“I’m pouring you wine,” you said, making your way to the kitchen with Julie following you, and Logan lingered in the hallway for a moment before going back to the living room.
“Are you sure it’s cool I’m crashing your date?”
You took out a wine glass before pouring some wine in it.
“I’ll be offended if you ask me that again,” you told her and she hugged you, making you smile and press a kiss on her cheek.
“Are you okay? Do you want me to like, buy a baseball bat and threaten him?”
“Nah I’m fine,” she said as she pulled back to take the glass from you. “It’s just fucking frustrating.”
“Screw him, he’s an idiot,” you told her as you held her other hand and you both went into the living room.
“Hey man, sorry about the interruption,” Julie told him, flinging herself on the armchair and Logan shook his head.
“Don’t worry about it. No interruption other than me trying to figure out how these two people will have the ‘greatest love story’ in four days.”
“It is true love!” you said, smacking the back of your hand into your palm to emphasize each word and Logan chuckled.
“Yeah alright, sorry. True love.”
“Weren’t you around when this happened?” Julie asked, motioning at the screen and you grinned.
“We share one braincell,” you told her and Julie crossed her arms, looking at Logan.
“Did you meet Thomas Edison?”
Logan looked almost confused. “Uh, no?”
“Good, he was an asshole. Did you meet Victor Hugo?”
Logan paused for a moment, then turned to look at you. “Are you guys all secretly French?”
“No, we just watched Les Miserables one hundred times,” you answered while Julie sighed.
“A masterpiece, if you will.”
“Better than this whole true love in four days thing?” Logan asked, motioning at the screen and you narrowed your eyes at him.
“Careful there buddy, you’re on thin ice.”
Logan shot you a grin, making you smile back before you turned to Julie.
“Seriously, what happened with that jerk?”
“Oh you know, the usual drill. He called me drunk, started with begging and then that whole thing turned into him listing every single bad thing about me.”
“He was the one who cheated on you.”
“Yeah and you’d think he’d remember that.”
Logan threw an arm over your shoulder to pull you closer to him.
“I can beat him up if you want,” he said in such a matter-of-fact tone that it made you look up at him in confusion. Julie let out a small laugh.
“You, I like you,” she said, pointing at him before she looked at you. “I approve.”
“Aw thank you.”
“That being said,” she said. “Logan, you seem like a really nice guy but make no mistake, if you upset her in any way, I’ll get the biggest magnet I can find and point it at you so that I can pull that metal skeleton of yours out of your body.”
“Julie!” you exclaimed, your eyes widening and Logan’s smile widened as if he was merely amused. “Don’t listen to her. She’s nice to me and terrible to everyone else.”
Julie blew you a kiss and Logan nodded his head.
“Noted,” he told Julie and Julie grinned at him.
“See? You and I are gonna get along just fine.”
You heaved a sigh, then grabbed the bowl to hold it out for Julie to take some popcorn. She grabbed a handful, then leaned back to watch the movie while you leaned your head on Logan’s chest, trying to pay attention to the movie. Logan nuzzled into your hair and pressed a kiss on top of your head, making your stomach do a happy flip and you felt a smile warm your face before you bit on your lip, then turned your gaze to the screen again.

Dad!James Potter x Bsf!Reader ☼ 833 words | briefly a little suggestive
series masterlist ; main masterlist
When the boys get home, you’re in the kitchen finishing up some soup. You don’t want Henry to get sick with the changing weather and him starting school, so you’ve gone a bit overboard with the veggies. The front door slams shut, and you hear the low timbre of James’ voice followed by a high-pitched whine from Henry. No doubt, James is reminding him to take off his shoes. You can easily picture him crouching down, gently encouraging Henry to do it himself in that low, soothing voice of his.
“Mama!” Henry shrieks, and your heart tightens at the sound of it. Months ago, you and James had sat him down, letting him know he could call you “mama” if he wanted to. Ever since then, he’d stopped calling you “darling,” and hearing the new name still tugs at your heartstrings every time.
You set the ladle down, ready to bend down and scoop Henry up. But the moment you see him, you freeze, lips parting in surprise. Out of the corner of your eye, you catch James stepping into the kitchen, leaning against the counter, silently watching the scene unfold.
“Do you like them?” Henry bounces on his toes, his big brown doe eyes—made even larger by his glasses—blinking up at you. A lump forms in your throat as you take in the sight.
“I love them.” You gasp, bending down as Henry shuffles toward you, grinning and bobbing his head side to side, proudly showing off his new blue frames. You’re certain James told him not to touch the lenses, judging by how his little hands fidget at his sides, resisting the urge to reach up and adjust them.
You wrap your arms around him, scooping him up to get a better look.
“Do I look like a big boy? Daddy said I did.” As he asks, you’re hit with the realization of just how grown-up he looks. He’s no longer the baby James would frantically call you about when he was sick, or the mischievous toddler who loved yanking the scrunchie from your hair, giggling uncontrollably as you pretended you didn’t know who had stolen it.
“You do. You look just like daddy.” You murmur, eyes flickering over to James, who is watching you both with a soft look.
Henry squirms in your arms, “I need Mr. G!” He exclaims suddenly, and you let him down so he can run and get his stuffed rabbit that wore a pair of glasses. You figure so he can have dinner with the three of you.
You watch him run off before turning your gaze to James, “You didn’t tell me he was getting glasses.”
“We wanted to surprise you.” James says with a smile, pushing away from the counter to meet you. His hands gently cup your cheeks, tilting your face up to meet his gaze as your arms instinctively wrap around his waist.
“He’s so grown up, Jamie.” You sigh, your voice thick with emotion. James gives you a soft, knowing smile.
“I know,” he murmurs. “I nearly had a meltdown in the office the first time he put them on.”
The room falls quiet for a moment before James leans down, pressing a soft, tender kiss to your lips. It’s short-lived, though, as Henry suddenly cries out that he can’t find his bunny and needs help. James sighs against your lips, his forehead resting against yours for a beat longer before pulling away with a quiet chuckle.
“Look at that—he’s not all that grown up yet. He still needs us.” James says, a fond smile tugging at his lips. You smile softly in return, reluctantly letting him go so he can search for Mr. G.
“I love seeing him grow up, but I oddly miss the baby phase.” You sigh, and James nods in understanding.
“As hard as it was, the baby stage was my favorite. Probably because you were by my side the whole time.” James winks, then turns to head toward the stairs.
You watch him as he goes, his movements deliberate, but you catch his attention with a teasing edge to your voice. “Maybe we should have another one then.”
The words slip from your lips with a soft smile, and you can’t help but laugh when James almost stumbles on the steps, his foot catching awkwardly as he spins around, his breath hitching in his chest. His eyes lock on yours, wide and searching, as if he’s trying to gauge whether you’re serious.
“You’d better not be messing with me, darling.” He breathes out, his voice low and thick with desperation. After nearly a year of dating, and given that he’s known you for almost a decade, with you having embraced the role of Henry’s mum from the very start, he’s been waiting patiently to hear those words.
Your stomach twists in a way that sends heat coursing through you, and you offer him a slow, knowing smile. “I’m not,”you reply, your voice soft but certain.

Imagine: Jack seeing you for the first time but you can’t see him
Disclaimer; This is inspired by @cutiepieloves131
It had been three years since Jack became a guardian. And he had to admit, it was fun. Ironically enough he was the guardian of fun. But the spirit of winter.
He spreaded snow and frost everywhere. From France to the small town of Burgess. At first, it was strange to be a guardian, helping children, and being seen.
Usually, children were the only ones who could see him. Well, children who bealived in him. Which weren't a lot. But as the years went by a lot more came. And he got a decent amount of believers.
It was very strange. He would just be walking by making it snow and children would come up to him. It was surprising but he got used to it.
He would fly over the world when he didn't have to bring winter. But when he was, he's favorite place to finish is at Burgess. That's Jamie's town. Jamie is the first boy who ever bealived in Jack.
Burgess has a very special place in his heart. And so is Jamie. But while he is out flying around the world he encounters many strange people, that can't see him. Last time he "meet" a young female.
Jack was in Burgess bringing snow and fun like usual. That was his last stop for the day. He was done and all the kids were out playing. He was going to leave but then Cupcake came running out of her home.
"Guys! You won't believe it!" She ran to her friends. And Jack was just close enough to hear. He turned around to see the little ball of sunshine. "What is it, Cupcake?" Pippa asked.
"My sister is coming back from collage!" Cupcake jumped up and down. "Wait. Y/n is coming back?" Jamie asked excited like everyone else. Jack confused flew to them. "Who's Y/n?" He asked.
"Cupcake's older sister." Jamie answered. "Yes, she's the best!" Caleb said as his twin brother agreed, "Yeah, she is!" They high five each other.
"She is the coolest!" Monty said excitedly as he fixed his glasses. "Coolest?" Jack mouthed out. "Remember when we had that massive snowball fight?" Claude asked as he made a snowball and threw it at Caleb who dogged.
"Yeah, she was the best at that!" Caleb agreed. "The best?" Jack mummered. "Ooh, and on my birthday she made the biggest party ever!" Pippa jumped up and down. "She was awesome!" Monty exclaimed.
"Awsome?" Jack whispered. "Uh, were is she, exactly?" Jack said as he leaned on his woden staff. "She's on her way here!" Cupcake yelled. "When is she getting here?" Jamie asked.
Jack chuckled at their excitement. "I'm not so sure." Cupcake shrugged. While they all told Jack how awesome and generous Y/n was they didn't know you had arrived.
"Mom! Dad!" You ran to them and hugged them both. Tears where shead. Blah, blah, blah. "Where's Cupcake?" You asked. "Oh, she's with Jamie and the others." Your mother said whipping her tears.
You lowly gasped with excitement and with one last hug you ran to find her. "Cupcake!" You called as you walked along the frozen path. Almost slipping. But you grabbed onto a ralling for bikes.
You sighed and carefully walked along the path. "Cupcake!" You yelled again. This time you were somewhere near Jamie's house and near the lake. "Uh, Jamie!?" You called.
"Ugh, come back from collage to a very warm welcome." You mocked. "Cupcake!!" You yelled louder. "Y/N!!" Cupcake and her friends ran to you. "Oh!" You feel backwards due to the force.
"Hi, guys!" You greeted as you hugged them all. They all bombarded you with questions as you stood up. Cupcake was clinging to your leg which you honestly didn't mind. You knew how much she missed you.
"Woah, woah! Calm down. One at a time, please." You laughed with them. But as you answered their questions Jack flew near you. He observed your features.
How your E/c eyes glimmering in the sun. How your S/c skin suited you well. The way your H/c colered hair framed your face perfectly. How soft your L/c lips looked.
He could tell you where a kind person by the way you interacted with the kids. "It's nice to see you all. But it's getting late shouldn't you guys be heading home?" You asked. Cupcake had finally let go of your leg.
"Oh, right!" Pippa realized. "Will we see you tomorrow?" Monty asked. "You bet!" The kids all cheered. "Come on, Cupcake. Say bye." You told your sister as you started to walk away.
"Bye!" All the kids said to each other and they all went home. "I have so much to tell you!" Cupcake said to you. "Oh, well I would love to hear it all."
Jack being the curious and mischievous guy he is decided to follow you two. He wanted to know you. Maybe even have you see him. He knew you couldn't. But that didn't stop him from trying.
"I have this cool story to tell you. It was awesome!" Cupcake beamed. "Alright. How about you wait 'till we get home. Yeah?" You asked as you glanced down at her. "Okay!" You giggled as she skipped home.
Feeling a cold but gentle breeze you smiled. You loved winter. Sure it was cold but it was fun. A small snowflake fell infront of you. Bringing your hand up the snowflake landed on your palm.
You giggled at the cold feeling. You smiled softly as it started to snow more. "It's snowing!" Cupcake said as she tried to capture snowflakes with her tounge.
"Winter. So lovely." You whispered. Cupcake was a few feet away from you and Jack was right next to you. "It is, ain't it?" Jack asked even though he knew you won't respond.
"How I whish I could just..control it." This peaked Jack's interest. "How so?" He asked. "Imagine me..able to bring winter anywhere, anytime, whenever." You giggled. Watching the snowflakes fall into your palm you felt happy.
Happy to be home. "Well, snowflake, you'll be happy to know, I already do that." Jack informed. You giggled and shoock your head. "Talking to myself. Gotta stop doing that."
You looked straight ahead and saw that Cupcake was further away. "Hey, Cupcake! Wait up!" You ran to her. Jack chuckled at you and looked back but decided to follow you.

“I just don’t know what to say to him,” James whispers.
You wipe the lip of the bowl, the steam that’s billowing from it fragrant with fresh chopped basil and warm on your cheeks. “You do, Jamie, you’ll just say what you always say to him.”
“I feel like he must get very tired of me, I just verbal diarrhoea at him while he’s crying.”
You give James a loving smile. “And he appreciates it, I promise. Are you gonna come in and keep us company?”
“No. I don’t know. Maybe you can have a look if he’s up for both of us and come and get me?”
James is too much a sweetheart. He’s been taking care of Remus for years and he’s still never sure if he’s doing the right thing, especially when Sirius isn’t there. You promise James you’ll come and get him as soon as Remus says it’s okay, which he most likely will, and start up the stairs with Remus’ dinner tray to the master bedroom.
Remus thankfully isn’t crying now despite a rough morning. He’s sitting against the headboard with his jaw locked and a loose neck pillow on his shoulders for support, the TV on a low volume opposite and lighting his face.
“Can I turn on the light?”
“Please.”
You flick it on. “Your soup. Did you want toast?”
“No… Thank you.” You put the tray on his lap carefully. He tips his head up, smiling weakly. “Thanks, dove.”
“You’re welcome.” You sit down at the top of the bed with him. “Can I stay?”
He’s insistent that you stay. You’ve not got much to say while he eats, his small mouthfuls a mixture of relief and wincing, but you take up station by his worst leg and run a loving hand up and down the front of it. When you’re sure he’s alright, you let your hand slide under, your finger to the soft part behind his knee and pushing downward.
“Tell me if I hurt you,” you say, beginning the familiar motions of a massage.
“I don’t think you could,” he says over the lip of his glass of water.
You turn away from him with a smile. Even poorly, he’s a wild flirt. “You’ll have to tell James he’s allowed to come and see you. He doesn’t want to be annoying.”
“I’ll shout for him.” He sighs and holds his tray on either handle. “Jamie!” he calls, sounding himself but admittedly heartbreakingly tired. “Can you come here? Please?”
James is straight up the stairs. He was probably waiting on the bottom step. “Yeah?” he asks, his irises like mint two pence pieces, his hand sliding down the door frame.
“Can you move this for me? And sit down?”
It’s as lovely an invitation from him as any when said so tenderly. James walks around to Remus opposite side, putting his tray on the wide window sill before situating himself in the mountain of blankets. It must be weird to be someone’s boyfriend but to have been their best friend for a long time before it; they fit together effortlessly in some ways and maintain a certain shyness in others. James has no problem sitting as close to Remus as he can, but he doesn’t look at him right away, not until Remus leans up to kiss James’ brown cheek.
“You’re never annoying,” Remus says.
James wraps an arm behind Remus’ back, confident though cautious not to hurt him. “If you say so,” he says sincerely.
Time slugs slowly for you all when Remus is in pain, but eventually he has to lay down, his leg twitching frantically in your hold, his nose pressed hard to James’ arm. You persuade some painkillers into him and stay at his side with his water bottle, your cheek resting on his shoulder.
You get out your phone to text Sirius. He’ll get upset if he isn’t in the know.
Hi Siri, Remus is in lots of pain, has had 600mg of ibuprofen and three co-codamol because he hasn’t had any paracetamol yet, is that okay?
Sirius texts back quickly. That’s fine, don’t give him anything else even if he asks for it, three co-codamol is one too many
Sirius again, on the way home. do we need anything from the shop ? miss you lovely
You’d smile if you weren’t worried about the boy shaking under your cheek. I miss you too, don’t worry about getting anything
Sirius does worry, you can hear the crinkle of a shopping bag when he gets home a few minutes later. “He was quick,” you say, sitting up to kiss Remus’ cheek. “He’s gonna hog you now.”
“Love you, dove.”
“I love you.”
Remus tries to savour that through the hot pain rushing all over. His pain is strange, it always has been, disobeying reason and often people’s belief. Half of it is a mystery, the other misery, and you and the boys have always believed him nonetheless. He’s never treated as childish or dramatic, only cared for, James’ endless stories and Sirius’ stern concern, and now you, his sweetheart, with all your soft touches and tone. You speak to him like he’s your favourite person on earth, voice underlain with fondness, always. And you’re selfless more often than not as you are right this moment, moving back to his leg, giving Sirius room to crawl breathlessly into bed beside him.
“Hello, gorgeous. What’s hurting tonight?” Sirius asks.
Not said to undermine him, Sirius just needs to know. He wants to fix everything.
“My back and my legs, mostly,” Remus confesses through a shiver. He’ll cry soon. No one will make him feel bad for it.
“Maybe you should try laying on your front for a bit, yeah? James can still harass you,” —Sirius brings his hand to Remus’ cheek and strokes it gently with the bends of his knuckles— “it’s less pressure on your back, is all.”
Remus feels himself calming already. It’s hard to feel hopeless when he’s well looked after.

DCAtober day 6: Hue
moon/sun x reader, ~3k words, fluff
plz be kind I haven't posted my writing in years
The question was innocent enough and asked extremely casually. Somehow it still threw you off just enough to have you looking up from tying Jamie's shoes for her so that she could leave.
"Huh?"
"Your favorite color, star! Somehow we don't have that information yet. Which is weird, I could have sworn we would have asked as part of your first introduction day..." Sun tapped his chin and gave the impression that he wasn't quite looking at you, though without pupils it was hard to tell. He seemed to be muttering that last part to himself- or to the both of them in there- at any rate.
You shrugged and tightened the last of the bows for Jamie and sent her off to her waiting guardian. An early pick-up today, it hadn't even been nap time yet. You hoped that she was going to get to do something fun at home with her family.
"Well, I suppose if you ask again reeeally nicely this time, I'll let you in on the secret."
Sun huffed in obvious play outrage. "I asked you nicely the first time! My manners are impeccable!" You grinned at the lack of the plural there- it was no secret that Sun thought Moon was slacking on manners. The two of you watched each other for a few moments before his shoulders dropped and he gave you a simulated sigh.
Ha! Point to you.
He must have seen the smugness creeping in, because just as suddenly he had his hand clasped to his chest and another outstretched in your direction as he swept into a bow. Point lost, now he was going into full thespian mode.
It was really hard to not either push at him to get him to stop or to start laughing before he could even speak.
"Please, my dearest and most precious friend!" Oh, he was really leaning into it. He had a little accent going and everything. "We cannot continue like this. Will you not gift us with the knowledge of the hue held closest, the most cherished, in your heart?"
You were doing a terrible job of not laughing at him. Some of the children were giving the two of you strange looks, while a couple others were giggling at the theatrics.
"Oh my god, please stop."
His grin hadn't changed and yet somehow it looked so self-satisfied. If there weren't a bunch of kids around to set a good example for, you'd definitely be pushing him now. It was still very tempting anyways.
He rolled his wrist, reminding you that he was waiting for you to answer him. Between chuckles you finally gave him the response that he was waiting for and dipped lower in his bow before standing up straight with a flourish.
"You're so dramatic." You didn't give him a shove, but you did purposely bump into him once he was completely upright again. He let you and swayed with the motion to give you the effect that you were looking for, and probably also to soften your thunk against his hard frame a little for your benefit.
His rays spun merrily as he looked out over the daycare to get a beat on what the kids were all doing, then returned his attention to you. "Why thank you! We do try our best."
For a while the two of you just stood near one another, the both of you watching different zones to make sure that everyone was following the rules and playing nice. Sun didn't always seem to prefer when there wasn't a guided activity going, but naptime was coming up before too long and you knew Moon harped in their headspace that the kids needed a little wearing out before they were expected to sleep. There was only so much the moondrops could do to help them get to sleep, and the kids always settled for a story better if they were tuckered out.
"Why'd you want to know my favorite color, anyway?" you asked after a while.
"Hmm?" Sun perked up at your question, though he kept looking out across the room. "Oh, one of the little ones wanted to give you a star sticker earlier, for being such a good helper and since we usually call you star! But it seems like they might have forgotten now. I can still give you a sticker, though, if you'd like."
You laughed and waved one hand vaguely. "No, that's okay. Now you know for next time. I guess that got missed somewhere in our introductions." You looked at him and then thought about it for a moment. "... Y'know, I don't know yours either. What's your favorite color, Sunny?"
"Yellow!" He answered so quickly that you had to wonder if that was what he legitimately preferred or if it was a scripted like- sometimes the animatronics, for all that you forgot that they were programmed to be the way that they were sometimes and that they weren't just really weird looking people, couldn't escape a coded response.
"Uh huh. Not sure if I expected that or not." It seemed like too obvious an answer, since he was yellow. But then, it still would have been fitting, you supposed.
The two of you went your separate ways for a while a little later, Sun going to return to taking a hands-on approach to playtime when one of the kids came up and asked to go to the bathroom. It wasn't too long once you came back that it was time to start clearing the softer area of toys and foam shapes to drag out the nap mats and blankets, You helped to get them all set up with the children while Sun made his way to the light switch.
The music shifted to a version of the normal song that was much calmer and quieter, and lacked the goofy sound effects sprinkled in, as the lights dimmed. You stayed off to the side as Moon came back to the area and passed out little wrapped candies to everyone who sat nicely for story time. He gave you a rather impish little look as he made a big show of skipping over you with the distribution of the drops, which earned an echo of amused little giggles. You didn't really want one anyway but you still put one hand on your hip and wagged a chastising finger at him.
You collected all of the wrappers from the candies while Moon took a poll on what story everyone wanted to hear and then started to recite from his internal library. Sometimes he used physical books just so that he would have pictures to share with the kiddos, but today he recited it without one while the kids hunkered down. Most of them were asleep before the story ended and you watched from a good distance away as Moon checked on the remaining few stragglers to make sure that they didn't need anything, then he left their immediate area so as not to disturb them.
You knew that his sensors had picked up that they'd fallen asleep when he approached you. He only put so much distance between him and them when everyone was out and he wouldn't be needed for a while.
"Finished hovering?"
His chuckled softly. "Brat. Are you going to go take your break?"
You shrugged. "In a bit. Thought I'd keep you company first, I'm sure Sun won't mind if my break bleeds over into his time a little."
Moon's faceplate ticked to the side once, twice, and then a full spin in delight. "Oh, he minds. But Mr. Manners needs to learn to share." You laughed, though you were mindful of your volume. You'd gotten plenty of scolding in the past from the naptime attendant, who took his job of making sure sleep happened very seriously. It and security were about the only things he seemed to take seriously.
"You two bickering again? Over lil' ol' me?" You snickered. "You see me almost every day, I don't believe for a minute that either of you actually mind me going on break."
Without having pupils to make it visible, Moon was forced to roll his eyes with his whole head. "Of course we don't, we want you to take your breaks." You could see him pause to give his programming time to work through not needing to tell you to rest. It was a process, he had explained once, bypassing certain triggers to his protocols since adults weren't people that he was in charge of unless it was for security. "That doesn't mean," he continued, "that we like missing time with you."
You were not getting flustered by the robot. "Aw, shucks," you joked as a distraction. "You two are going to make me blush."
He made an amused sound before a comfortable silence settled between the two of you for a couple moments. He watched the children for some of that time, on the look out for any signs that someone was stirring, but luckily most naptimes went very smoothly and stayed dull. You made your way over to one of the craft tables after a while and Moon shadowed you all too quietly for a tall animatronic covered in bells.
You started to clear the table and get things organized again when you came across a sheet of stickers that reminded you of earlier. "Hey, Moon Man?"
"Yes, Starling," he answered in a sickly-sweet tone. You might have deserved that teasing, you know that he doesn't like 'Moon Man', you just used it anyway to annoy him.
"What's your favorite color?"
He hesitated, tilting his head at you before he looked down at the stickers in your hand. You saw the lightbulb in his brain go on. "I am obligated to tell you blue or purple."
You wrinkled your nose at that. "Okay, gross. They really don't let you guys pick your own favorites? Is Sun's actually yellow?"
He stared at you for a moment that felt like it stretched on a little too long. Was he trying to think of something to say? Was he talking to Sun? There couldn't have been something in his programming that kept him from talking bad about the rest of his programming, right?
You only noticed that he'd been slowly leaning in close to you when he stopped. "No."
"No..?"
He didn't move back at all. "No, it's not his favorite."
"Oh." The atmosphere between the two of you was starting to feel slightly heavy but at the same time you didn't move to put any extra space there. "What... are your actual favorite colors? Can you even answer that?" Hopefully they could.
It took some time for Moon to respond but this time you really did get the feeling that he was having some sort of communication with his counterpart. It was a loaded silence.
"Yours."
Huh? "Mine? What, you both like my favorite one?"
He shook his head slightly and the bell on the end of his nightcap jingled softly. "No." He seemed to hesitate and you let him have time to give you an actual answer, just like you'd let him have time to get around the knee-jerk reaction to tell you to nap. "Your color is our favorite."
You started to open your mouth to express your confusion about that, but stopped short when his cool, clawed fingers met your cheek with extremely gentle tenderness. "The color of your skin, your hair, your eyes." His hand cupped your face and tilted it a little further up towards his. "The colors of the clothes you wear aside from your uniform, the ones you pick the most often during crafts time, the one of your phone case."
You were pretty sure that your brain was short circuiting. Was he really saying these things, holding onto you like this? Sure, you and the both of them had gotten pretty close over the time that you'd been working inside the daycare, especially recently, but nothing like this. Was he joking? This wasn't the way that he had ever messed with you before, you had no reason to believe that he would be now, but him being serious made just about as little sense. Your lips parted like you were going to say something, though you had no idea what it could have been. Nothing actually came out.
"The color of your lips," he continued as if your floundering had drawn his attention there and you felt the pointed tip of his thumb just barely brush underneath your bottom lip, which made you squeak. "Your blush."
And now you could feel that you were blushing. Your cheek felt hot against the contrasting temperature of his hand.
"I..." You didn't actually know what to say. You stared up at him, still pole-axed, for a moment before his intensity came down by a few degrees. The way that he held you and looked at you was still achingly gentle, but the pressure of it lessened enough that you could feel some of your higher thought processes rebooting. "You... You both?"
His free hand came up to hold your other cheek and he used that to hold you still as he pressed the teeth of his faceplate against your forehead. "Both of us, I assure you, starlight." He stayed there for a moment before pulling back with a soft chuckle. "Did you not notice?"
You shook your head, dumbfounded and wide-eyed.
"Sun thought he was being so obvious. He's losing his mind that I was right and we just needed to be a little more... forward." He practically purred the word and you felt your face heat even further.
"Was he? Being obvious?" You didn't have any idea that this was coming. Were there signs that you had missed? You thought that he was just being friendly! That they were both just friendly! For as much as you found yourself forgetting that they weren't actually just sentient and independent beings also performing a job every day it had never once occurred to you that they could develop feelings like this. That felt like it was doing them a massive disservice now while Moon held you in place and stared at you.
Another chuckle. "A little, but obviously not enough." He backed a little more out of your space, and took in the look of surprise still on your face. A hesitation came over him then, though he didn't release you. "Is this okay? Am I making you uncomfortable?"
"No, no! It's okay!" You reached up and held onto his wrists over the ribbons and bells on each. "I just... can't believe..."
He snickered and you could see the way that his constant smile strained at the edges into something so mischievous and smug but with the hold that you had on him and him on you, you could also feel the way that he seemed to be nearly vibrating with energy. He didn't look it, he always outwardly seemed so much calmer and nonchalant than Sun, but you could feel the slight tremor against your skin and you could hear the muffled way that his internal cooling system was working hard to keep his temperature even.
"Then we have your permission to pursue this?"
The answer was out of your mouth before you even had a chance to think about it. "Yes. Both of you." It didn't strike you as something strange until after you'd said it. You had never really considered how logistics with one of the highly advanced animatronics would go, let alone with two separate AI. But this didn't seem strange to them, or at least to Moon. And Sun had never brought anything up before, though he had obviously spoken with Moon about it if there had been this supposed conversation about the tactic that they should take for their approach. He'd chastised Sun teasingly to you for needing to learn to share, but it seemed like there must have already been some sort of discussion about doing just that.
Moon's expression was downright devilish. "Good. In that case, would you mind staying a little late tonight? I think I might need some help once the daycare's closed..." He laughed at your spluttered response and leaned to press his mouth against your forehead one more time before letting you go with visible reluctance. "Don't worry, I'll put in a note to your manager for an overtime request. Now, naptime's over."
You felt very much like a mouse being cornered by a cat as he looked at you for another few seconds before he took a couple steps backwards. "Have fun with Sun, little star."
Oh. He was making his way to the light switch. "Wait-!"
He cackled at you before he lunged for the light and slapped the button.
You missed the change between the naptime and the daytime appearance as you blinked to adjust your eyes to the light. There was a moment where no one made a sound while Sun completely took over and the standard daycare music started back up. A couple of the children started to rouse but there'd still be a small window of peace until you went and got them up for lunchtime and whatever other activities Sun had on the docket for the day.
That quiet was shattered when Sun's eyes landed on you just before he started marching your way. "Moon got to kiss you first?!"
Oh, so that was what he'd been doing to your forehead? "Oh boy," you breathed as seven feet of excited and agitated robot burst your personal bubble.

jamie drysdale x fem!reader
warnings?: cursing, kissing, smut, oral f receiving.
masterlist
-
you sighed as you slammed your computer shut, finally hitting send on your resume. the thought of the email reaching them filled you with dread.
what if they didn’t want to interview you? what if this was just another company to ghost you?
it stressed you out.
eventually, you found your way out of your bedroom, out into the living room where your boyfriend sat sprawled out on the couch.
“i did it.” you said quietly.
“you sent it?” he asks perking up.
“yeah.” you sigh, sitting down next to him, tucking yourself under his arm.
“that’s one step, see it wasn’t so hard?” he says squeezing your shoulder.
“we’ll see about that.”
“y/n, your resume looks great, i couldn’t possibly see why they wouldnt at least want you to come in to interview.” he says, a light thumb running over the fabric that covered your shoulder.
“well now i just have to wait.” you say opening up your email, pulling down refreshing it.
“okay now this is what we aren’t gonna do. i’m not gonna let you sit and drain yourself waiting for a response.” he says taking your phone and tucking it in his pocket.
“hey, give that back.” you say reaching across his lap, his hand grabbing yourself under wrist to stop you.
“i will give it back in the morning, just let me take care of you until then okay? they probably are just busy and can’t check emails. relax, my love.” he says pressing a kiss on your cheek before standing up, disappearing into your shared room, probably to hide the phone.
“i’m nervous about it jam.”
“i know you are, come here.” he says quietly as he lays down, signaling for you to curl up on his chest, one of the few places you felt like you could breathe.
“it’s all i can think about right now.”
“i know, i know.” he says, running his hands up and down your back.
you laid on his chest until you crashed late in the evening, eventually waking up to the sun peaking through the bedroom curtains, your phone laying perfectly on your nightstand just like he’d promised.
you hear your boyfriend groan next to you as you lean up on your elbow, turning to face him.
“morning baby.” he mumbles sweetly, his eyes still closed.
“good morning love bug.” you giggle, pressing a short kiss to his lips before rolling back over and getting out of bed, your phone instantly in your hand as you walked toward the bathroom.
“oh my gosh.” you gasp.
“what?” jamie calls out.
“i have an interview, like this afternoon.”
“congratulations, see i told you, everything will be fine.” he says, appearing in the door frame.
“i don’t think i tell you enough how hot you are when you wake up.” you say, your speech muffled as you brushed your teeth.
“oh whatever.” he giggles, kissing you on the head and grabbing his toothbrush.
“what do you think i should wear?” you ask, wiping your mouth.
“black pants, solid color shirt. nothing too fancy, but still nice.”
“okay.” you say, thinking to your closet.
-
you paced around your apartment as you waited to leave, your makeup nicely done and your hair slick and clean.
“baby please, calm down. you don’t leave for another 20 minutes.” jamie says walking into the living room.
“jamie what if i don’t get it?”
“well you won’t find out today.”
“fuck that makes it worse.” you say biting your nails.
“hey hey stop, will you listen to me for a second?” he asks, gripping onto your biceps.
“stop what?”
“this, all of this. this job interview does not define you. of course i have all the faith in the world that you are fully capable of getting this job, but it’s breaking my heart seeing you so torn up about it. i will love you all the same, job or not. no matter what.” he says, his thumbs grazing back and forth soothingly.
“i’m just nervous, that’s all it is jamie.”
“yes of course you are, and i get that, but i need you to be all here. i need you to just take a breath for me okay? everything is going to be fine, i will be here waiting for you when you come back.”
“okay, i’m gonna leave now so im a little early.” you say, hugging onto the boy.
“drive safe okay? i love you.”
“i will, i love you.” you call out, shutting the door behind you.
-
you arrived back home with a smile, opening the door finding jamie in his spot on the couch.
“so?” he asks, getting up to greet you at the door, wrapping you in his warm arms.
“the interview went really good.”
“i knew you would do great. i’m so proud of you pretty girl.” he mumbles into your hair, pecking you in the head a few times.
“they said i’d hear back by the end of the week.”
“so basically i’m taking your phone from you for two days, at least.” he says pulling away lightly and locking eyes with you.
“if you must.” you giggle as he presses a kiss to your lips, pulling your phone out of your back pocket.
“i’m hiding that laptop too.”
“jamie i have school work.” you giggle as he shuffles away quickly.
“you can use my laptop.” he calls out and you roll your eyes with a stuck smile.
hours had passed by and you were left alone in bed while jamie showered. you reached into his nightstand drawer pulling out your phone, opening the email app and refreshing it every few seconds before you heard the door open and a freshly showered jamie re-enters the room.
“y/n, the phone.” he says sternly.
“i’m sorry.” you sigh.
“give me that he says crawling into bed, looking over you as he took the phone from your hand.
“i can’t help it.” you reply.
“i know you can’t, but i can distract you.” he smirks, locking his lips onto yours. your hands found their way to his cheeks as he deepened the kiss, your tongues doing a tango of passion as you grew deeper and deeper in desire.
he removes a hand from your waist, slipping it into your satin shorts, running his fingers through your soaked core.
“jamie.” you whine, gripping onto his arm.
“mmm ready for me already?” he mumbles on your lips. you pull away locking eyes with him, nodding vigorously, any thought of an email instantly leaving your brain at the simple idea of your hot, hockey player boyfriend tongue deep between your legs.
he crawls to the end of the bed, his feet planted on the ground as he leaned over the bed, tugging your shorts down, leaving you exposed. he tossed them to the side, grabbing your ankles and pulling you slightly toward him. he crawled closer between your legs, kissing up your inner thigh, his hands finding their way to grip the outside of your legs. sooner than later, his lips make sweet contact with your pussy, sucking and twirling your clit with his tongue, your back arching at the sensation.
one thing about jamie, he knows how to eat, whether anyone wants to believe that or not.
“fuck.” you moan out, gripping in his dark locks as you locked eyes with him, your moans growing louder as you realize his eyes were ready to meet yours.
“taste so good baby.” he says pulling away slightly, the vibrations of his words making you groan.
“you’re so fucking good at that.” you gasp out as he continues, sliding two fingers into you, being pushed closer and closer to the edge. the build up was unbearable as he continued his actions, his fingers curling inside you causing you to crumble under his touch, an orgasm washing over you as you soaked his face in your wetness.
“oh my fucking god.” you gasp out as he pulls away, crawling over you, attaching your lips shamelessly to his.
“feeling better?” he giggles, pulling away.
“so much fucking better.” you reply in your hazy state.
“now no more worrying about a damn email y/n, everything will be fine. i’m here for you, i love you so much. don’t ever forget that okay?” he says, brushing your hair out of your face as you fixed your shorts after he’d handed them back to you.
“okay, i love you too jamie. promise i’ll be better.” you smile.
he made you realize how much he actually cared. he cared about your happiness more than his own, wanting to eliminate any possibility of stress if he could.
he loved you more than anything, job or not, and you just couldn’t believe you’d gotten so lucky to love him back.

Christmas Surprise
Pairing: Sergeant!Bucky Barnes x fem!reader
Summary: I don't want to spoil it, read and find out 💕
Warnings: mentions of war and army stuff
A/n: Merry Christmas, folks. I hope you all have a blessed day. I think it's kind of obvious what the story is about, but I hope you like it.
Read this pls❤️
Xxxx
"It's a pity James won't be making it this year. He's scarcely been around for Christmases since Papa passed, and Y/N seemed to have changed that, I thought. Though I suppose he is part of the army now, and they need him for war and all that."
"I was under the impression that all soldiers in training got Christmas off. But I know nothing about military matters, so don't trust my judgment."
Y/N stood in the hallway as her sisters-in-law spoke, Rebecca and Rudy (I made Rudy up for the sake of the story). Her heart beat heavily in her chest as she stared at the framed sketch of James Buchanan Barnes, drawn by Steven. G. R. .
With a smooth of her hands down her apron, she walked into the kitchen. The chatter instantly and awkwardly shifted to the peas that stood on the counter, and Rudy scattered to look for the rolling pin, that was tucked into the front pocket of her apron.
"It's alright, I heard. And Rudy's right. Jamie was supposed to come home four days ago, but for some reason him and his commando friends got refused dismissal or something."
Rebecca sighed, setting down her eggnog, and went to Y/N, laying a hand on her shoulder.
"Y/N/N,"
"Becca, it's quite alright. I really understand your concern, I do. I just feel bad for Jamie. He often spoke of his fondness for Christmas."
Rebecca gave another sad sigh and looked at Judy, who understood the silence.
"Well, on a different note. We've managed to scrounge together some canned versions of James's favourites. It ain't the real deal,"
"But it's pretty damn near."
Rebecca finished Rudy's sentence, allowing a little humour to fill the space. Y/N chuckled lightly, picking up a can of peas. This Christmas would be their 5th without Rudy's husband Joe, their 3rd without their father, and their 16th Christmas without their mother. And now, it would be their 3rd with Y/N, and 1st without Bucky. The three sisters (minus Y/N, merely Bucky's girlfriend, but they went by that nickname), were left to spend Christmas by themselves.
A knock at the door pulled the three women from their thoughts. They shared a look: that was not a feminine knock. It could mean one of three things;
•James was home by some miracle
•They were about to geat dreaded news about James
•The old man next door sent by his wife for sugar
•Rebecca's secret admirer (though this thought was only shared by Y/N and Ruby, and had James been there, him too)
"I'll go get it."
Y/N rushed to the door, heart pounding excitedly. To her dismay, it was Tom, the butcher's son. Y/N's heart sank and her smile faded to an annoyed expression.
"Tom. What can I do for you?"
"Merry Christmas, beautiful."
Y/N sighed, about to close the door when he handed her an envelope. Y/N cocked a brow, hesitant to take it.
"What's this?"
"It's from the post office. Mr. Bennett asked me to deliver it to you. Says the sender pleaded."
Y/N reached to take it but Tom pulled it back.
"Uh uh, first, Malcolm sent you something, and you need to take it before I give you your letter."
Y/N groaned, rolling her eyes.
"I am not obligated to take it."
"Well I'm not obligated to give this letter to you. It's just a favour."
Y/N narrowed her eyes and pressed her lips into a fine line.
"Fine."
Tom picked up a wrapped tin box and handed it to Y/N. Her gut sank, she knew what was in the tin. Tom placed the letter on the box and left. Y/N retrieved inside silently and placed her belongings upstairs in her room. She locked her door and ripped open the paper, sighing heavily when she saw the note on top of the expensive boots she'd been dreaming about.
Just a glimpse of what a real man could give you. Merry Christmas.
The note read.
She felt too bad to open the letter she knew was from James.
-Fast forward to eating time-
After the girls had dished up and said Grace, they sat at the table, ready to eat. Another knock sounded at the door, a man's knock. But a specific pattern belonging to only one man.
"James!"
The three girls said together and got up, but Y/N beat the rest to the door. The door was jerked open, blowing Y/N's hair from her face from the friction. Her stomach swarmed with fiery butterflies when her eyes registered the man before them.
"Buck,"
His signature grin spread across his face before he stepped forward, dropping his bags. Before she knew it, her lover was crushing her bones (just about) in a hug. Y/N's arms wrapped around his neck as he stood on a step lower than her. She felt his figure move as he inhaled her scent.
"What are you doing here? I thought you weren't allowed?"
"I'm not. But no command from any general jackass is gonna stop me from seeing my baby on Christmas."
Y/N laughed, pulling away to flick his forehead before hugging him again. The 'three sisters' made quick work of fixing Bucky a plate while he freshened up upstairs. Y/N couldn't keep her eyes from James as they ate the lunch. She could see the beginning of stress on his features, the slight fatigue from training, but there was something else.
He'd always been a pro at masking his true feelings, but the usual "Bucky shimmer" in his eyes was missing. He tried hard not to lock eyes with Y/N over lunch, but he couldn't keep his eyes from her. Though it'd been a mere two weeks, he'd missed her.
"Becks? I feel something is the matter with James. But I don't want to worry him asking, or pry, he just- oh I don't know he seems off."
Rebecca put down the plate she was washing and turned to Y/N with her own signature look.
"If anyone knows him well, it's you. So I'd say to trust your gut."
With that, Rebecca returned to washing the dishes. Y/N smiled faintly at the tilted floors of the Barnes' kitchen and nodded to herself.
"If it's alright with you, I think I'm going to have a word with him. See if he's alright."
"It's fine by me. Judy's the one you should be worryin' about. Now go, shoo, before she comes back from her rendezvous in the powder room (yes I'm implying that she's taking a dump)."
With a giggle shared between the younger girls Y/N scurried upstairs, knocking on the door of the guest bedroom, her bedroom for the holidays.
"Give me a moment."
James called back.
"Jamie, sugar, it's me."
"In that case give me two moments."
Bucky sassed. At least he was being himself. Y/N pushed the door open, thankful it wasn't locked. She instantly knew what was off. The stupid boots from Malcolm.
"What happened to respecting a man's privacy?"
He frowned at her.
"Darling I don't believe you get much of that in the army, and besides, I don't want us to spend the little time we have together on the blessing of a day brawling about a stupid third party inconvenience."
"So the fella you've been seeing is called 'stupid third party inconvenience?'"
Y/N shook her head with a soft laugh.
"I'm not seeing anybody, James."
"Then what's this?"
He pointed toward the boots, that remained untouched. Y/N sighed, putting the lid over them.
"My letter is right next to them. You didn't even open it. Though perhaps a mere letter that I split my ass to get to you isn't 'manly' enough is it?"
"James, language, and please, let me explain."
His furrowed brows dropped slightly, and Y/N took his silence as her opportunity to explain.
"You remember that rich kid whose father owns the country club?"
Bucky nodded apprehensively.
"I accidentally knocked my bag off a table a few weeks back, and he assisted me in picking up my belongings. He hasn't left me alone since. He's had his friend, or more like servant Tom deliver things to me ever since. Tom wouldn't give me your letter unless I accepted his gift. And I knew what it was going to be, but I was so horrified at his gesture, that I felt too ashamed to open your letter. I'm sorry."
".....Well he's not man enough to enlist."
James said after a moment of silence. Y/N chuckled through her nose and nodded.
"And he's not man enough to deliver the gifts himself."
Y/N nodded, smoothing a hand down James's arm, and then took ahold of his hand.
"You're all I want, Bucky. Believe you me. There's no overly priced pair of boots that could make me change my mind about that."
It was Bucky's turn to laugh at her comment.
"But does he know you've got a suitor?"
Y/N nodded, an irritated expression across her features.
"He knew when I dropped my bag, he knew when I was at the train station to send you off and he waited there to talk to me. And the gifts have ampled since your departure."
Bucky's jaw ticked, and Y/N felt his fingers clasped around hers twitch.
"What do you say you and I pay him a visit and return his gift?"
"Isn't that a little rude, especially on Christmas day?"
"Dollface, we're amidst a world war, I couldn't give a damn about being polite to a jackass who's tryna steal my girl."
"Buck you know he'll never succeed, right?"
"I do trust so. But still, I want to rub it in his face."
"James, baby, come on. If we give him a reaction, he'll probably like it. It'll give him the impression that he's getting to you."
"You were always the clever one in this relationship. So what do you suggest we do, miss smarty pants?"
Y/N hummed, pretending to think as she rubbed her chin.
"Well, for starters, you never call me that again. And, perhaps you and I dress nicely, beg Becca to use her camera, and post him a picture of us with Christmas regards written on the back."
"Not mean enough."
"There's a twist?"
James cocked an eyebrow, intrigued.
"I'm wearing the boots he sent."
James's face broke out into a boyish grin.
"Sounds more like it. I'm in. Get dressed, dollface, I'll use my baby blues on Becks."
"Work your magic Sergeant."
Y/N called as he left the room.
Xxxx
Fin. Merry, merry Christmas, people. I've derailed a little, I'm sorry. Never forget the true meaning behind Christmas, and never forget that you're loved.
Lots of love and best wishes

I also wear glasses and I can't see well without them. Imagine reader looking for her glasses because she and James slept on the sofa and ended up losing them, she asks him for help but he also lost his. It would be funny for the two of them to try to find their glasses inside the sofa with just the touch of their hands and with their eyes half closed to see if they can see better and find them.
Yessss, thanks babe!
James Potter x fem!reader ♡ 689 words
You rouse to sweet, tender kisses on your shoulder. Then your clavicle, then your throat, and that’s odd. Your brows furrow as you blink your eyes open. James usually goes straight for your face when he’s feeling lovey. His lips feel odd, imprecise as they move up your neck. Like he’s searching.
“Sweetheart.” James' voice is soft and honeyed. “My sweetest, most beautiful girl, I need your help. Wake up, please.”
“M’up.” Your hand finds his hair, curls fluffy from sleep. “What is it, Jamie?”
“I slept for too long,” he tells you, leaning up into your touch. “I dunno what time it is, but it’s dark and I’m sure I’m supposed to be at practice, and I can’t find my glasses.”
“Alright,” you sigh, arching up off the couch in one of those deeply satisfying stretches you can only have after a good nap. “Okay, let me—” You go to rub your eyes under your glasses, only to find there’s nothing in the way. “Shit. My glasses are gone too.”
James groans. “No way. They’re not next to your face?”
You’re already sitting up, patting around where you’d been lying. Your hands meet only the plush cushions of your couch. “Nope. God, we must have been sleeping hard, huh?”
“Haven’t had a nap that good in at least a decade,” James agrees. “Alright, get up so I can have a feel.” Even without being able to see you, he must sense the look on your face, because he clarifies, “A feel of the couch, you degenerate. Move.”
You snicker as you get up, joining him in feeling around the couch. “Your vision’s better than mine. Can you see anything?”
“Pfft. Blind’s blind, sweetheart. It’s all blob to me. Hey, I’m going to shake out this blanket, let’s see if we hear anything hit the ground, yeah?”
You both fall silent as James jerks the blanket up and down, waiting for the telltale clatter of something hitting the floor. He makes a dissatisfied sound once it’s clear nothing’s going to happen, but you drop to your hands and knees to feel around the floor just in case.
“Careful, I’m by your feet.”
“Yeah, I can see that. Christ, love, I’m not so blind I can’t detect movement.”
You start giggling and can’t stop, shoulders shaking as you crawl around on the floor.
You can hear the smile in James’ voice when he asks, “What’s so funny?”
“This is just so ridiculous,” you laugh. “It’s the blind leading the blind. How’d we both lose them?”
“Best nap ever,” James says solemnly.
“True,” you say. “Maybe if we—hey, wait, I found something! It’s—oh. It’s yours.”
James all but lunges for you, taking the glasses from your hands as you come up to your knees. “Well don’t sound so happy about it.” He brings his hands towards his face, and that’s as much as you can make out. Then they come back for you, gripping your jaw with newfound precision to guide your lips to his. “Thanks, angel.”
It’s odd not being able to see him when you know he can see you, your pleased smile at his endearment. “Can you see mine?”
“I’m looking, just a sec.” James brushes a touch against your shoulder on his way to the couch, and you can hear the cushions rustling with faster, surer movements. “Got ‘em. Hold still, sweetheart.”
You do as he says. You know just as well as he does that you could put them on yourself, but you like when James does things for you and James likes when you go all soft and smiley on him. He slides the frames onto your face, taking a moment longer to straighten them on your nose than he strictly needs to.
“Thanks,” you say, glad for your restored vision when James smiles, dazzling as usual.
“Anything for you,” he replies gallantly. He angles his head, pressing a quick kiss to your lips. Then another, more lingering than the first.
“Don’t you have to get to practice?”
James hums. “You know how I thought it was dark outside? Turns out we’d closed the curtains.”

Jegumas Day Twenty-Five - Christmas Morning/Day
1,014 words
@noblehouseofgay
--------------------------------------------------------------
“Good morning, love.”
A warm hand rubbed circles into Regulus’s shoulder, gently bringing him to full consciousness.
Regulus blinked his eyes open to see James holding a tray and a cup of hot chocolate. “Jamie.”
“Yes, love.” James waited until he sat up to set the tray down. He kissed the top of Regulus’s head. “Blueberry pancakes, bacon, and a small omelette with all of your usual requests.”
The food looked amazing. Regulus tipped his head up to get a kiss, humming happily. “Thank you.”
“You’re always welcome,” James replied, smiling brightly. He moved around the bed and carefully got on, moving to wrap an arm around his fiance. “How are you feeling?”
Regulus leaned against him. “Good.” He put a bite of pancake in his mouth, moaning in appreciation. “Oh, I love you.”
James laughed. “I love you, too.” He kissed his cheek. “Merry Christmas.”
Regulus sighed, feeling a little anxious as he realized what day it was. “Merry Christmas.”
James hummed in sympathy, letting Regulus eat in relative quiet. Regulus appreciated it - he didn’t imagine the rest of the day would be anywhere near as calm as this.
It wasn’t that Regulus didn’t like Christmas. He did - mostly. He loved getting gifts for people and baking cookies with James and cuddling on the couch watching Christmas movies. He loved helping James decorate and listening to Christmas music.
But Christmas day was always a little bit stressful. Everything was crammed into Christmas day - they went to Sirius and Remus, and then Lily and Pandora, and then James’s parents house for dinner. It was a lot of driving and talking and Regulus was always completely exhausted halfway through.
But it was fine. He would smile and be happy and try his best to enjoy the chaos.
“So I did something,” James said quietly. “That you should know about.”
Regulus turned to look at him. “What?”
James looked just slightly anxious, which made Regulus a bit concerned. “Do you remember how Lily called yesterday, and she wanted to move the plans around a bit so that we could go to her house earlier and then Sirius’s later?”
Regulus felt his stomach flip at the idea of switching it up. It would mean more driving, and an earlier start - they’d have to leave really soon, actually. He frowned, hoping for some sort of miracle that didn’t mean he had to function before nine in the morning. “Yes.”
“Well, I sort of told her that it wasn’t possible,” James told him. “So we arranged for everyone to meet at a dinner party in a couple of days instead of our usual schedule.”
Regulus tried to process that. “A dinner party?” He felt a spike of panic. “We’re doing more?”
“No, no,” James assured him quickly. “No, I’m sorry - Reg, I told everyone that we weren’t driving today. Except for mum and dad, I told them that I wasn’t sure, and Mum said to let them know by lunchtime. It seemed like it was stressing you out, so I thought we just - well, I thought it might be better to just relax today.”
“We’re…not driving today,” Regulus repeated slowly. He bit down on his smile, trying to contain the pure relief. “We don’t have to drive everywhere and talk to everyone today?”
James shook his head. “Nope. We can stay home all day if you want, we don’t even have to visit my parents.”
“That’s,” Regulus shook his head, overwhelmed. “That’s - James.”
James smiled, taking in his reaction. “Good?”
“So good,” Regulus confirmed. He grinned, the tension melting from his frame as he dropped his fork and hugged James tightly. “Thank you, thank you, thank you. James, I love you. I love you so much.”
He pulled back, suddenly worried. “Wait, you’re okay with this, right? You’re not sad?”
“I’m thrilled,” James replied sincerely. He kissed Regulus’s forehead. “This is the most excited I’ve ever seen you for Christmas. I love it.”
“I didn’t mean to make you cancel everything,” Regulus said guiltily.
“You didn’t.” James shook his head. “You were lovely about everything. But you looked more and more anxious every time it was brought up, and I don’t want you to feel bad today. You deserve to have fun on Christmas.”
Regulus took a deep breath, almost in tears as he hugged James again. “Thank you.”
“Always,” James replied, squeezing him back. “I’d have done this years ago if I knew it stressed you out so much.”
“I’d have told you years ago if I realized I wouldn’t have to go through it every year.” Regulus blew out a long breath, looking forward to the rest of Christmas for the first time in years. “Maybe we can still go to your parents for dinner.”
James’s eyes lit up. “Yeah?”
Regulus nodded - he loved visiting James’s parents. And without everything else, it actually did sound like fun. Plus, he knew James loved to see them during the holidays. “I think it’ll be fun.”
“I’ll call after breakfast,” James said happily. He kissed Regulus’s cheek. “What do you want to do today? Movies, cookies, music, reading?”
“Can we -” Regulus faltered for a second, but James gave him a little nod, encouraging him. “Can we do all of that? Just - I just want to do the Christmas stuff. Just us.”
“Regulus,” James said softly. He pressed kisses to his shoulder, his neck, his cheek. “I love that idea. We can do everything, of course we can. Do you want to make gingerbread houses? We have the stuff for it - oh, and we can make little gingerbread people to go inside!”
Regulus laughed, nodding in agreement. “That sounds perfect.” He stopped James from kissing his cheek again, turning to get a real kiss.
They were both grinning too much for it to be much of a kiss, but it didn’t matter. They could keep kissing - they could do whatever they wanted today, just them.
Regulus had never truly disliked Christmas.
But until today, he’d never truly loved it.

ALL THINGS CONNECTED | j. flatters chapter seven — give us some commentary
summary: growing up on the set of avatar: the way of water was a dream. your friends had become your family, all except for one. jamie was the one person you always found yourself drawn to, in ways more complex than the title of 'best friends' [1.6k].
pairing: fem!reader x jamie flatters
notes: based on jamie flatters documentary: all things connected. co-stars/friends to lovers. inspired by @cacapeepee. shorter but I wanted to get something out. mentions of blacking out underwater.
⌙ pairing: jamie flatters x fem!reader
masterlist ⎸ chapter six | chapter eight
2018.
148…149… 150… 151…
your eyes were closed, the numbers in your head going up and up every second you held your breath for longer. usually, you could feel your heartbeat in your chest, but today, you were so zoned in you didn’t take notice of it.
you were all in the tank, seeing who could hold their breath for the longest. jack had already come up, around 43 seconds in. he was watching intently from his place, now, outside the tank. it had been four months since you and jamie last had a competition to see who could hold their breath for the longest. you didn’t even care for the competition anymore, the fact of proving to yourself you could do it, mattered even more than beating jamie.
152… 153… 154… 155…
you could feel your heartrate beginning to quicken. you opened your eyes and tried your best to try and slow it. you looked at jamie, who was ahead of you, the vision of him blurred by the water- but you could make out his silhouette anywhere.
156… 157... 158...
you saw his figure jerk a little. you furrowed your eyebrows and tried to make out what he was doing, but it only made sense when you realised he was beginning to sink.
he had passed out.
your heart was racing now. you heard splashed from above and saw other figures coming to help, but you got to him first. you tried your best to pull jamie up to the surface, but his unconscious frame was heavy underwater. you silently thanked the free-dive instructor for helping you pull him up.
time slowed as the rest of the diving team hauled jamie out of the tank. bailey and duane had broken the surface, noticing the commotion. bailey asked you what had happened, but you didn’t register what she was saying; too busy trying to catch your breath, and watch the instructor get jamie to consciousness.
he didn’t wake up instantly, or maybe he did.. you couldn’t tell. you weren’t sure if you were waiting for five seconds or five minutes, but jamie eventually came to when they were starting to contemplate cpr.
you pulled yourself up the ladder quickly, realising he was waking up, but you kept your distance, not wanting to be in the way.
“is he okay?” jack asked from against the railing. no one answered him, too busy trying to make sure jamie was okay.
it all went really quick after that, jamie was with the medical team for a while before he was sent back to his trailer to rest. you ended up in there only 10 minutes after they cleared him. he had fallen back to sleep on the couch, his head fallen back completely.
you rushed over to make sure he hadn’t become unconscious again. you said his name a few times but shook him when he didn’t respond.
jamie took a deep breath before opening his eyes and letting out a groan. “y/n?” he asked.
“im sorry i came in,” you said quickly, “i was worried.. e-everyone was worried. i said i’d come check on you”. a lie.
“it’s okay,” he gave you what you would pass as a tired smile, “i’m glad you’re here”. you tried to ignore the butterflies that let themselves into your stomach, especially at such an inconvenient time, but you couldn’t help it.
“i wanna hang, but i don’t know how much longer i should be awake for. they told me to sleep it off,” he chuckled.
“you’re so stupid for not coming up,” you shook your head, ignoring him. “why wouldn’t you come up?”.
he sighed, “i thought i had it,” he shrugged. jamie cleared his throat before readjusting his position on the couch, making room for you next to him. “i wanted to do well,” he admitted shyly, almost embarrassed.
you shook your head softly, looking at him. you took in his tired demeanour; you could imagine that he would be wrecked after everything that happened. you were keeping him from resting, you knew that, but you were selfish in the fact that you just wanted him with you, so you could keep an eye on him.
“come on,” you stood up, holding out your hand, “lets get you back to bed.. in a real bed” you chuckled. jamie laughed along with you, if you could call it laughing. he felt like a shell of a man after the last hour. embarrassed he passed out, tired from the rushing and intensity of the situation, but happy that you were here.
since your kiss, jamie couldn’t stop thinking about you. he felt helpless in a way he hadn’t felt before in his nearly 18 years on this earth. all of his thoughts were consumed by you, the thought of your lips, your laugh, your hips. he couldn’t help himself.
if anyone came to check on him, he would want it to be you.
“i’m not that tired, y/n. i’m fine,” jamie tried his best to reassure you, but there was an unspoken truth that you were aware of.
“there is no way that you’re ‘fine’ after that, jamie” you shook your head, “you don’t need to lie to me,” and he knew that. out of everyone on this set, jamie knew that you were the one he could unapologetically tell the truth to, every single time.
“i just would rather stay up with you,” he chuckled, resting his head against his knuckles. you both sat in silence for a little while longer, before you stood up and held out your hand to him.
jamie raised his eyebrows at you, a little suspicious. you moved your hand at him again, showing your growing impatience, he haphazardly grabbed your hand. you pulled him into the back of his trailer and sat down on his bed. jamie didnt let go of your hand as he sat next to you; he was drinking in your touch for as long as he could.
“why are you looking at me like that?” you chuckled, suddenly getting nervous under his gaze. he noticed your change in demeanour, this was the first time you had ever acted like this when he looked at you. even in the dim lights of his trailer, jamie could swear your face grew a faint blush.
“i’m not looking at you like anything,” he smirked, shrugging his shoulders. a blatent lie from him, and jamie knew it. he was looking at you like he always does, like you hung the moon and the stars.
you shook your head, trying to ignore the butterflies that were making their presence known in your stomach. “you need to rest, flats” you said.
he knew you were right, but he wanted this time with you more than he did sleep. “we have the entire weekend to rest,” he rebutted, “i can relax at the beach with you tomorrow.”
“you’re crazy,” you laughed.
“how so?”
you didn’t respond, just shook your head at him. “you need to let go of my hand so you can get into bed,” you suddenly took note of his fingers that were still intertwined with yours. jamie pulled away rather quickly, afraid he was making you uncomfortable.
“we can lay down,” he said, shuffling himself towards the top of the bed, “but i’m not sleeping yet,”
“you say that, but i know you” you laughed, switching the tv on, “you’ll pass out, flats.”
and that he did. you and jamie watched around twenty minutes of some movie he claimed was a ‘cinematic masterpiece’ before he dozed off before the plot could even move along. “night flats,” you whispered, pulling the covers over his body fully. you knew the medical team would check on him during the night, so you thought it would be best to head back to your trailer. you managed to slip out of his trailer, after picking up for a little while and leaving jamie a note.
you went and saw bailey for an hour before you went back to your trailer, falling asleep, ready for your first free weekend in a while.
jamie was up with the medical team at two, four hours after you left him. he was so tired when they came, he was eager to go back to sleep. but when he woke up properly the next morning, he was finally in the right mind to have a shower and get ready for the day.
jamie knew filip and duane wanted to go to manhattan beach again, spend their day lounging away in the sunshine and the sea. he wondered if he could rope you into coming with them, but he remembered you mentioning seeing your parents this weekend.
he was about to head out to see filip, when a note sitting on his kitchenette caught his eye.
“next time you’re up for it we can actually finish a film together. see you in the morning, superstar”
he couldn’t help the involuntary smile that found its way to his lips, or the way that his cheeks suddenly felt hot. he really was wrapped around your little finger, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
with a shake of his head, jamie quickly made his way over to filip’s trailer.
“bro, what’s the rush?” filip asked from his couch after jamie barrelled his way into the trailer.
“i think i’m in love with y/n..” he blurted out.
he and filip sat there in silence for a while, jamie being completely checked out after the realisation of how intense his feelings were for his castmate.
“well..” filip sighed, “congrats on being the last one to find out,”

7x11 “A Hundredweight of Stones”
John...what happens now?
Think of the deer, my dear.
I WAS SURPRISED to wake up. I hadn’t really expected to and lay for a bit trying to fit reality back into place around me. I had only a slight headache, which was almost more surprising than the fact that I was still alive. Both those things paled in significance beside the fact of the man in bed beside me.
“How long has it been since you last slept with a woman, if you don’t mind my asking?”He didn’t appear to mind. He frowned a little and scratched his chest thoughtfully.“Oh… fifteen years? At least that.” He glanced at me, his expression altering to one of concern. “Oh. I do apologize.”“You do? For what?” I arched one brow. I could think of a number of things he might apologize for, but probably none of those was what he had in mind.“I am afraid I was perhaps not…” he hesitated. “Very gentlemanly.”“Oh, you weren’t,” I said, rather tartly. “But I assure you that I wasn’t being at all ladylike myself.”He looked at me, and his mouth worked a bit, as though trying to frame some response to that, but after a moment or two he shook his head and gave it up.“Besides, it wasn’t me you were making love to,” I said, “and both of us know it.”He looked up, startled, his eyes very blue. Then the shadow of a smile crossed his face, and he looked down at the quilted coverlet.“No,” he said softly. “Nor were you, I think, making love to me. Were you?”“No,” I said. The grief of the night before had softened, but the weight of it was still there. My voice was low and husky, because my throat was halfway closed, where the hand of sorrow clutched me unawares.John sat up and reached to the table, where a carafe stood along with a bottle and a glass. He poured something out of the bottle and handed it to me.“Thank you,” I said, and lifted it to my lips. “Good grief, is that beer?”“Yes, and very good beer, too,” he said, tilting back the bottle. He took several hearty gulps, eyes half closed, then lowered it with a sigh of satisfaction. “Clears the palate, freshens the breath, and prepares the stomach for digestion.”Despite myself, I was amused—and shocked.“Do you mean to tell me that you are in the habit of drinking beer for breakfast every day?”“Of course not. I have food with it.”“I am amazed that you have a single tooth in your head,” I said severely—but risked a small sip. It was good beer: heavy-bodied and sweet, with just the right sour edge.At this point, I noticed a certain tenseness in his posture, which the content of the conversation didn’t account for. Slow-witted as I was, it took a moment for me to realize what was amiss.“Oh. If you need to fart,” I said, “don’t trouble on my account. Go ahead.”He was sufficiently startled by my observation that he did.
“I do beg your pardon, madam!” he said, his fair skin flushing up to the hairline.I tried not to laugh, but suppressed amusement jiggled the bed, and he went redder still.“Would you have any hesitation about it were you in bed with a man?” I asked, out of idle curiosity. He rubbed his knuckles against his mouth, the color fading a bit from his cheeks.“Ah. Well, that would depend upon the man. By and large, though, no.”The man. I knew that Jamie was the man in his mind—just as he was in mine. At the moment, I wasn’t disposed to resent it.He knew what I was thinking, too.
“He offered me his body once. You knew that?” His voice was dry.“I take it you didn’t accept.” I knew he hadn’t but was more than curious to hear his side of that encounter.“No. What I wanted from him was not that—or not entirely that,” he added, with honesty. “I wanted all of it—and was young and proud enough to think that if I could not have that, then I would accept no less. And that, of course, he couldn’t give me.”I was silent for a time, thinking. The window was open, and the long muslin curtains moved in the breeze.
“Did you regret it?” I asked. “Not taking him up on his offer, I mean?”
“Ten thousand times, at the very least,” he assured me, breaking into a rueful grin. “At the same time… refusing him was one of the few acts of true nobility to which I would lay claim for myself. It’s true, you know,” he added, “selflessness does carry its own reward—for if I had taken him, that would have destroyed forever what did exist between us.
“To have given him instead the gift of my understanding, hard come by as it was,” he added ironically, “left me with his friendship. So I am left with momentary regret on the one hand, but satisfaction on the other. And in the end it was the friendship that I valued most.”
After a moment’s silence, he turned to me.“May I… You will think me odd.”“Well, you are a bit odd, aren’t you?” I said tolerantly. “I don’t really mind, though. What is it?”He gave me a look, strongly suggesting that if one of us was indeed odd, he didn’t think it was himself. Gentlemanly instincts suppressed any remark he might have made to this effect, though.“Will you allow me to see you? Ah… naked?”I closed one eye and looked at him.
“This certainly isn’t the first time you’ve slept—I do mean slept with—a woman, is it?” I asked. He had been married, though I seemed to recall that he had spent much of his married life living separately from his wife.He pursed his lips thoughtfully, as though trying to recall.“Well, no. I do think it may be the first time I’ve done it entirely voluntarily, though.”“Oh, I am flattered!”He glanced at me, smiling slightly.“So you should be,” he said quietly.I was of an age, after all, where… Well, on the other hand, he presumably didn’t have the same instinctive reactions that the majority of men did, in terms of feminine attractions. Which rather left open the question …“Why?”A shy smile touched the corner of his mouth, and he hitched himself up against the pillow.“I… am not quite sure, to tell you the truth. Perhaps it is only an effort to reconcile my memories of last night with the … er … actuality of the experience?”I felt a sharp jolt, as though he had punched me in the chest. He couldn’t have known my first thoughts on waking and seeing him—that sharp, disorienting flash when I had thought he was Jamie, remembering so acutely Jamie’s flesh and weight and ardor, and so urgently wanted him to be Jamie that I had succeeded for an instant in thinking that he was, only to be crushed like a grape at the realization that he wasn’t, all my soft insides spurting out.Had he felt or thought the same things, waking to find me there beside him?“Or perhaps it is curiosity,” he said, smiling a little more broadly. [...
]“How long is some time? Fifteen years, you said?”“Oh, a good deal longer than that. Isobel—” He stopped abruptly, the smile vanishing. He hadn’t mentioned his dead wife before.“You never saw her naked?” I asked, with more than idle curiosity. He turned his face away a little, eyes cast down.“Ah … no. It wasn’t… She did not… No.” He cleared his throat, then raised his eyes, looking into mine with an honesty raw enough to make me want to look away.“I am naked to you,” he said simply, and drew back the sheet. Thus invited, I could hardly not look at him. And in all truth, I wanted to, out of simple curiosity. He was trim and lightly built, but muscular and solid. A little softness at the waist, but no fat—and softly furred with vigorous blond hair, darkening to brown at his crutch. Itwas a warrior’s body; I was well acquainted with those. One side of his chest was heavily marked with crisscrossing scars, and there were others—a deep one across the top of one thigh, a jagged thing like a lightning bolt down his left forearm. At least my own scars weren’t visible, I thought, and before I could hesitate further, I pulled the sheet away from my own body. He looked at it with deep curiosity, smiling a little.“You are very lovely,” he said politely.“For a woman of my age?”His gaze passed over me dispassionately, not with any sense of judgment but rather with the air of a man of educated tastes evaluating what he saw in the light of years of seeing.“No,” he said finally. “Not for a woman of your age; not for a woman at all, I think.”“As what, then?” I asked, fascinated. “An object? A sculpture?” In a way, I could see that. Something like museum sculptures, perhaps: weathered statues, fragments of vanished culture, holding within them some remnant of the original inspiration, this remnant in some odd way magnified by the lens of age, sanctified by antiquity. I had never regarded myself in such a light, but I couldn’t think what else he might mean.“As my friend,” he said simply.“Oh,” I said, very touched. “Thank you.”I waited, then drew the sheet up over both of us.“Since we’re friends …” I said, somewhat emboldened.“Yes?”“I only wondered… have you… been quite alone all this time? Since your wife died?”He sighed, but smiled to let me know he didn’t mind the question.“If you really must know, I have for many years enjoyed a physical relationship with my cook.”“With… your cook?”“Not with Mrs. Figg, no,” he said hastily, hearing the horror in my voice. “I meant with my cook at Mount Josiah, in Virginia. His name is Manoke.”“Ma—oh!” I recalled Bobby Higgins telling me that Lord John retained an Indian named Manoke to cook for him.“It is not merely the relief of necessary urges,” he added pointedly, turning his head to meet my eyes. “There is true liking between us.”“I’m pleased to hear that,” I murmured. “He, er, he’s…”“I have no idea whether his preference is solely for men. I rather doubt it—I was somewhat surprised when he made his desires known in re myself—but I am in no position to complain, whatever his tastes may be.”
I rubbed a knuckle over my lips, not wanting to seem vulgarly curious—but vulgarly curious, all the same.“You don’t mind, if he … takes other lovers? Or he you, come to that?” I had a sudden uneasy apprehension. I did not intend that what had happened the night before should ever happen again. In fact, I was still trying to convince myself that it hadn’t happened this time. Nor did I mean to go to Virginia with him. But what if I should and Lord John’s household then assumed… I had visions of a jealous Indian cook poisoning my soup or lying in wait behind the necessary house with a tomahawk.John himself seemed to be considering the matter, lips pursed. He had a heavy beard, I saw; the blond stubble softened his features and at the same time gave me an odd feeling of strangeness—I had so seldom seen him less than perfectly shaved and groomed.“No. There is… no sense of possession in it,” he said finally.I gave him a look of patent disbelief.“I assure you,” he said, smiling a little. “It—well. Perhaps I can describe it best by analogy. At my plantation—it belongs to William, of course; I refer to it as mine only in the sense of habitation—”I made a small polite sound in my throat, indicating that he might curtail his inclinations toward complete accuracy in the interests of getting on with it.“At the plantation,” he said, ignoring me, “there is a large open space at the rear of the house. It was a small clearing at first, and over the years I have enlarged it and finally made a lawn of it, but the edge of the clearing runs up to the trees. In the evenings, quite often, deer come out of the forest to feed at the edges of the lawn. Now and then, though, I see a particular deer. It’s white, I suppose, but it looks as though it’s made of silver. I don’t know whether it comes only in the moonlight or whether it’s only that I cannot see it save by moonlight—but it is a sight of rare beauty.”His eyes had softened, and I could see that he wasn’t looking at the plaster ceiling overhead but at the white deer, coat shining in the moonlight.“It comes for two nights, three—rarely, four—and then it’s gone, and I don’t see it again for weeks, sometimes months. And then it comes again, and I am enchanted once more.”He rolled onto his side in a rustle of bedclothes, regarding me.“Do you see? I do not own this creature—would not, if I could. Its coming is a gift, which I accept with gratitude, but when it’s gone, there is no sense of abandonment or deprivation. I’m only glad to have had it for so long as it chose to remain.”“And you’re saying that your relationship with Manoke is the same. Does he feel that way about you, do you think?” I asked, fascinated. He glanced at me, clearly startled.
“I have no idea.”“You, um, don’t… talk in bed?” I said, striving for delicacy. His mouth twitched, and he looked away.“No.”We lay in silence for a few moments, examining the ceiling.“Have you ever?” I blurted.“Have I what?”“Had a lover that you talked to.”He cut his eyes at me.“Yes. Perhaps not quite so frankly as I find myself talking to you, but, yes.” He opened his mouth as though to say or ask something further, but instead breathed in, shut his mouth firmly, and let the air out slowly through his nose.I knew—I couldn’t not know—that he wanted very much to know what Jamie was like in bed, beyond what I had inadvertently shown him the night before. And I was obliged to admit to myself that I was very tempted to tell him, only in order to bring Jamie back to life for the brief moments while we talked. But I knew that such revelations would have a price: not only a later sense of betrayal of Jamie but a sense of shame at using John—whether he wished such usage or not. But if the memories of what had passed between Jamie and myself in our intimacy were no longer shared—still, they belonged only to that intimacy and were not mine to give away.It occurred to me—belatedly, as so many things did these days—that John’s intimate memories belonged to him, as well.“I didn’t mean to pry,” I said apologetically. He smiled faintly, but with real humor.“I am flattered, madam, that you should entertain an interest in me. I know many more … conventional marriages in which the partners remain by preference in complete ignorance of each other’s thoughts and histories.”With considerable startlement, I realized that there was now an intimacy between myself and John—unexpected and uninvited on both our parts, but… there it was.The realization made me shy, and with that realization came a more practical one: to wit, that a person with functional kidneys cannot lie in bed drinking beer forever. He noticed my slight shifting and rose at once himself, donning his banyan before fetching my own dressing gown—which, I saw with a sense of unease, some kindly hand had hung over a chair to warm before the fire.“Where did that come from?” I asked, nodding at the silk robe he held for me.
“From your bedroom, I assume.” He frowned at me for a moment before discerning what I meant. “Oh. Mrs. Figg brought it in when she built the fire.”“Oh,” I said faintly. The thought of Mrs. Figg seeing me in Lord John’s bed—doubtless out cold, disheveled, and snoring, if not actually drooling—was hideously mortifying. For that matter, the mere fact of my being in his bed was deeply embarrassing, no matter what I had looked like.“We are married,” he pointed out, with a slight edge to his voice.“Er… yes. But…” A further thought came to me: perhaps this was not so unusual an occurrence for Mrs. Figg as I thought—had he entertained other women in his bed from time to time?“Do you sleep with women? Er … not sleep, I mean, but …”He stared at me, stopped in the act of untangling his hair.“Not willingly,” he said. He paused, then laid down his silver comb. “Is there anything else you would like to ask me,” he inquired, with exquisite politeness, “before I allow the bootboy to come in?”Despite the fire, the room was chilly, but my cheeks bloomed with heat. I drew the silk dressing gown tighter.“Since you offer… I know Brianna told you what—what we are. Do you believe it?”He considered me for a time without speaking. He didn’t have Jamie’s ability to mask his feelings, and I could see his mild irritation at my previous question fade into amusement. He gave me a small bow.“No,” he said, “but I give you my word that I will of course behave in all respects as if I did.”I stared at him until I became aware that my mouth was hanging unattractively open. I closed it.“Fair enough,” I said. The odd little bubble of intimacy in which we had spent the last half hour had burst, and despite the fact that I had been the one asking nosy questions, I felt like a snail suddenly deprived of its shell—not merely naked but fatally exposed, emotionally as well as physically. Thoroughly rattled, I murmured a farewell and made for the door.
“Claire?” he said, a question in his voice.I stopped, hand on the doorknob, feeling quite queer; he’d never called me by my name before. It took a small effort to look over my shoulder at him, but when I did, I found him smiling.“Think of the deer,” he said gently. “My dear.”
I nodded, wordless, and made my escape. Only later, after I had washed—vigorously—dressed, and had a restorative cup of tea with brandy in it, did I make sense of this last remark. Its coming is a gift, he’d said of the white deer, which I accept with gratitude.
I breathed the fragrant steam and watched the tiny curls of tea leaf drift to the bottom of the cup. For the first time in weeks, I wondered just what the future might hold.“Fair enough,” I whispered, and drained the cup, the shreds of tea leaf strong and bitter on my tongue.

Oh Darlin - James Hetfield X Reader
WARNINGS ~ ~ 16+ nsfw content ahead ~ Sub James Hetfield ~ HandJob ~ Fem Reader ~ crying ~ overstimulation ~ this is kinda cringe ~ thats all I can think of but if you think something else should be added tell me
1984 James Hetfield
It was a very cold night, perhaps that's why your boyfriend insisted on clinging to your side. His hands which were calloused from many years of playing guitar clung to your hips, as you attempted to put new sheets on the bed a considerably hard task with someone gripping your waist.
His grip only tightend when you attempted to move his hands. The action being met with a soft grunt from him. “Let me go” You exclaimed trying to pull free from his tight grip.
You felt his smile press into your neck followed by a sloppy little kiss and a whiny complaint. "You"ve been cleaning all day." James was the type of lover to constantly crave every ounce of attention and affection that you had to give.
"Unfourtantly I had to get that done before you have your party tommorow."
"And now your done so love mee." He was acting like a neglected puppy and as cute as it was putting sheets on a bed is a rough chore when someone is clutching onto you. In a quick effort to outsmart him and frankly just to be done with his antics, you let go of the soft grey sheet corner. Turning to face your long haired boyfriend you flipped the both of you around and pushed him down gently on the bed.
Kissing him abruptly hard and fast, the kind of kiss that was sure to make him want for more. He always wanted more of you that was something that was made clear from the first time you'd kissed him. His hands tangled in your hair and shoved you impossibly closer.
At this point your thighs were gently draped over his, chests touching. Every kiss held more passion and firey desire. James' hands now roamed over your bra, you could feel his desperation through each kiss. A film of sweat began to apparate on his forehead heat building up between your bodies.
A yearning look in his eye as he pulled away from your lips, peeling his black tshirt from the frame of his body. You took this as an oppurtunity to have your fingers roam over his nipples with a feather light touch. Causing a breathy sigh to escape the man the beneath.
Rough calloused fingers unhooked the bra that was clad on your body, the now bare skin being grabbed and held like someone's life depended on it.
"Such a needy little thing." Your voice deepend as your hands began to reach the elastic waistband of his boxers. Nimbly palming over his raging boner. "Awww how cute."
"Please, I'm dying." His voice was shaky as you expertly teased his tip through the light blue shorts that held him, a small wet patch forming.
"Oh darlin, what are you begging for?" Now you lowered the cotton fabric down his thighs.
"That.. oh god.. please that." Ecstacy faded over the blondes face as you started lesiurly pumping his dick, shamelessly using his precum as lube.
He buried his face into the pillow of the bed that never ended up getting made. Mumbling incoherent babbles. "Awww speak up Jamie be a good boy."
Face peaking out of the pillow to look at you with tears pooling in those big beautiful eyes that you loved so much. He moaned and his hips bucked up, you knew he was close but he knew he couldn't cum without your permission.
Being submissve in your relationship was a freeing but ego killing task for him, after all he was the front man of a succesful metal band and oh how you loved to tease him for it. "The big bad leader of Metallica on his knees looking so pretty." Only ever left your mouth once but those words played in his head on loop.
"Please." His hips pushed up bucking into your hand as he whined and cried. "Can I cum please." His body was shaking, thighs trembling as you worked his dick at a quick pace. Thumb rubbing over his slit with each stroke.
"aww my good boy. Of course." And that he did hot ropes of white liquid coated his stomach. His moans grew louder and his body quivered as your hand kept going well after his orgasm.
"What?." He let out a sweet whine. "what are you doing?.. Ahhh"
Your hands kept working along his pretty pink tip, purposefully overstimulating your lover. "Oh darling, were only just getting started."

My Inktober Day 1 Contribution, plus a microfic: Backpack
I've never drawn people kissing, I hope it's okay lol. full disclosure my first idea was a motorcycle backpack, but I started overthinking it and did this instead lol
Word count: 444 Warnings: edited and written by a dyslexic (i'm sorry), pure fluff, University student!James, Fiancé!Regulus
James was rushing to the car, murmuring that he’d forgotten something and sorting through the keys on his ring. He was late, as per usual, but Regulus had just looked so pretty and his arms had been so comfy that he couldn’t force himself out of bed. He tried, he really did.
Who is he kidding? He took one look at the love of his life and couldn’t bring himself to look away, which led to this. Again. He smiled anyway, just the thought of Regulus setting his heart racing.
“Jamie, James, come back,” Regulus called from the door, rubbing his eyes sleepily with the heel of his hand. James whirled at the sound of his fiancé’s voice, surprised to see him up so early.
“Reggie, baby, why are you awake?” he asked, rushing back to the door. Regulus just held up James’ backpack, and James let out a groan. “So that’s what I forgot. Thank you, my love.”
James took the bag but couldn’t help looking over Regulus appreciatively. He looked a mess; eyes half bleary with sleep, his hair sticking up in every which direction, wearing James’ pants. James thought he looked stunning.
“I love you, you know that?” James said, pulling his love in by his waist.
Reg smiled blearily, still tired, and murmured, “and I love you.” He rested his arms on James’ shoulders, still holding the backpack, and pressed his middle against him. James took full advantage and let his hands travel to Regulus’ back, holding him even closer.
Regulus leaned in to kiss James’ cheek, but his fiancé seemed to have other ideas. He turned his head at the last second, capturing Regulus’ lips with his own in a loving, passionate kiss. Regulus pulled him closer and James groaned happily, sliding one hand into Reggie’s hair.
It took a minute, but Reg broke the kiss first, panting softly and pressing his forehead against James’. “You really ought to get to class,” he whispered reluctantly, but he was smiling. James sighed and let his hands rest on Reg’s hips, knowing that he did indeed need to get to class.
“I love you,” he murmured again, pressing one last quick kiss to Regulus’ lips before pulling away. Regulus smiled and let his arms drop down to his sides.
“And I love you,” he said, resting his shoulder against the door frame and watching James rush back to the car, even later now. He watched with an amused grin as James unlocked his car, but froze as he opened the door. James turned with a sheepish grin and trudged back up the steps to where Regulus waited.
“I forgot my backpack.”
