I went from playing Jak 3 to playing The Lost Frontier without ever finding the first 2 games, never mind Jak X. It was such a huge jump from the plot I managed to grasp that I had no clue what was happening. Never mind the CONTROLS and the absolute weird subplot added about others outside of Haven using the Dark Warrior Program??? Like WHAT DO YOU MEAANNN?? And how did the graphics look worse than its younger counterparts?

Absolute mess only up side to it is Phoenix and I'm down hard for the idea that Phoenix was just Jak's bi-fantasy 😭😭

I’m playing The Lost Frontier and so far my theory is that this is all an alcohol dream Jak is having after a night of binge drinking with Daxter to celebrate winning the Kras City Championship

Jake “Hangman” Seresin x female reader

AN: this is my very first fic. I had this idea and it wouldn’t go away so here we are. I’m sorry if it sucks.

TW: verbally abusive relationship mentioned. Not involving any main characters and nothing specifically said.

Jake closes his eyes to help clear his mind. If he sunk this shot Coyote and Bob owe him and Phoenix $200. To be honest it wasn’t about the money, at least not for Jake, he just loves to win anything and everything he can. As he opens his eyes he notices that Rooster has joined their group by the pool table. Rooster must have gotten lost coming to the bar. Typical.

Maverick had taken Penny and Amelia on a much needed vacation. Turns out it was Maverick’s first vacation in quite some time and Penny wanted to share the fun so she gave all of her employees the week off too and shut the Hard Deck down while she was gone. Very nice gesture for her staff but it left the aviators with nowhere to go after work. Begrudgingly they found this hole in the wall bar with a couple of pool tables and decided to check it out. Thankfully it was Friday meaning tomorrow Penny and Mav will be back and then they never have to come back here again. Hopefully. Being Friday night meant it was pretty crowded even for some random dive bar.

While Jake takes his time lining up his shot he vaguely hears Rooster saying something about something. Jake’s not really paying attention. He takes his shot sinking the 8 ball turning to Coyote and Bob with a smirk, “That’ll be $200. Would you like to pay in cash or card?” Coyote rolls his eyes while reaching into his pants for his wallet.

Jake looks around then turns to Rooster, “So what were you just going on about? You almost made me miss my shot what with your loud mouth going off and all.”

Rooster scoffs, “If anyone has a loud mouth it’s you and you know it, Hangman. I was just asking if anyone knew the spitfire at the bar. I’ve never met her but I just wanted to keep an eye on her since she seems to be fixing to get her ass handed to her.”

Jake looks towards the bar seeing the back of a women yelling at a man with another woman close behind her. The man is yelling right back in her face. Jake knows he doesn’t know the man or the second woman and turns back towards Coyote putting his hand out for the money. Just then he listens a little harder. He knows that voice. He hears it every day. That’s the voice that yells at him almost every night from the living room while he’s upstairs in the shower not to leave his boots in the doorway because you trip over them every time. Jake’s eyes get big as he yells, “Shit! It’s mine!”

He starts to push through the crowd as fast as he can with his other aviators close behind. He shoves his way in front of the man and proceeds to pick you up passing you off to Coyote to get you out of the line of fire then turns around to face the angry man. He’s got a few inches on this guy and looks down at him with his chest puffed out, nobody is going to mess with his girl even if she got herself into this mess. The man in front of him is seething.

Coyote places you down behind him getting you farther away from the angry man, ready to jump in to help his friend. Bob, Phoenix, and Rooster crowd around too ready for whatever was going to happen.

From behind Coyote Jake hears, “He was yelling at his girlfriend! He was getting in her face saying awful things about her and calling her names!”

Jake was mad before just hearing this man yell at you but now he’s furious. He glances behind himself locking eyes with Coyote who nods his head. They both grab an arm each of the man’s and proceed to drag him outside Rooster following close behind. The girl who you had been protecting now sobbing as you go over and try and help her calm down. Bob comes over with a glass of water for her and Phoenix stands watching all the other Patrons in the bar in case the guy had any buddies they needed to worry about.

Jake and the others come strolling back in not too long after. He heads towards you shaking out his hand. He saddles up behind you wrapping his arms around your waist and leans down so you can hear him better, “What did I say about getting into fights without me?”

You smile and turn in his arms wrapping your arms around his neck, “Umm I think you said not to but I can’t remember. The details are fuzzy and it was soooooo long ago.”

He chuckles and shakes his head, “You’re right a month is a very long time. I’m actually surprised you made it this long.”

From behind the two of you, you can hear Rooster asking, “Uhh did you guys know Hangman had a girl?”

Coyote grins looking over at you, “Nice to see you, Mrs. Seresin.”

You smile right back, “Hey Javy. Did you like those leftovers I sent in with Jake for you the other day?”

“They were delicious. I made sure to eat all the pasta before your husband could steal any.”

You hear Jake whine above you, “Why are you both so mean to me?”

Chuckling you both say, “Because we can.”

Coyote grins slapping Jake on the back and heads towards the bar for another round.

Rooster’s brow furrows as he watches the exchange and looks at Bob and Phoenix questioningly. Phoenix shrugs in response and takes a few steps closer to you, “So Mrs. Hangman where have you been hiding and why did you leave me alone with these idiots?”

You laugh, “I’m sorry I don’t go out much. Jake likes to be the prettiest in the room so he leaves me at home so his reputation isn’t tarnished.”

Jake chuckles shaking his head and kisses the top of your head, “I’m going to remember this later, darlin’. Don’t think I won’t.”

You smile sweetly up at him, “Promise?”

Hangman hasn’t touched his drink. 

Bradley has to call him Hangman. Has to keep that distance, has to keep him at arm’s length. If he doesn’t, if he lets himself drift, then he gets lost in the memories of a simpler time. 

But the mission seemed to heal old hurts, seemed to right old wrongs. They were able to smile at each other, laugh with each other, hug one another. It felt good, to let old wounds finally scar, maybe get that much closer to healing. 

And then the adrenaline had faded, and Hangman’s mouth had twisted as they’d walked beside each other in the halls, and Bradley had watched him find his own bunk until they’d made it back to shore. 

Bradley watches him, because he can’t help it. Watches the way he traces his finger around the rim. Watches him grab the pint’s handle before letting it go. Watches as Hangman stands up and toss some bills on the table. 

The rest of their squadron cheers. Bradley glances back, sees Payback and Fanboy arm and arm, sees Phoenix lean on Bob and wrap her other arm around Coyote. There’s a song on the jukebox they sing along to, and they laugh as they stumble over the words. 

And when he looks back, Hangman is gone. 

He has to go after him. He has to try. Forget arm’s length, he needs Hangman in his grip. Bradley pushes through the crowd, shoves through the mess of stumbling drunks and old sailors to get to fresh air. Stumbles through the doors of the place into empty, open space, and sees a blond with his head ducked down. 

“Hangman!” he calls out. “Wait!” 

He doesn’t turn around immediately, but to his credit he does stop. Stands there, amongst all the parked cars, a streetlight over his head. It shines on him like something divine. When he does turn, it’s slow, and he doesn’t pull his hands from his pockets when he sees Bradley jog towards him, sunglasses bouncing against his chest. 

“I’m calling it a night, Rooster,” he says, tilting his head. He squints against the amber glow of the light above him, manages a smirk as he looks at him. “Been a long few weeks. Need some shuteye.” 

“Already? They’re just getting started in there,” Bradley says, nodding back toward their team. Their team, their squad, their Dagger. “I think if we get a couple more in Payback he’ll be up for a line dance.” 

He gets a snort for his efforts, but then the blond is turning away again. He waves off Bradley, must hear him start to follow him. “Then I’m sure Bob can teach him. I need some sleep.” 

“It’s not like you, to turn in early,” Bradley counters. Hangman stops again, turns and glares, brow furrowed deep. 

“Been a long time since you could claim to know me, right, Bradshaw?” 

That stings. It’s meant to. Part of Hangman’s charm, how he’s always fought back – knowing what words to say to cut someone to the quick. But Bradley won’t let that dissuade him. Can’t let it get under his skin. 

“Don’t do that. Don’t push me away. Stay a little longer,” Bradley urges.  “We won, and made it back because of you. Let yourself have that.” 

There’s a funny look in his eyes, something that brightens them. It takes too long for Bradley to realize that it’s anger, and when Seresin tilts his head he can see the flush settling on his cheeks. “It’s been a while since I let myself have anything. And I think you remember how that ended. So why don’t you let me get some sleep?” 

The hits keep coming. He turns away again. Bradley’s fingers twitch at his sides as he watches him go, the urge to grab and shake some sense into him strong. It all bubbles up inside of him, the mission, the joy, the fear, and then it boils over and tumbles out and –

“Jake,” he finally says, almost yells it. "I'm sorry, okay?"

It takes a moment for Bradley to realize that Jake isn’t moving anymore. That he’s not getting further away, a light in the distance a blink away from going out. Instead, Jake’s shoulders are slumped, and he seems stuck in place, bathed in an orange glow. His shadow stretches out on the asphalt, and Bradley pushes forward until he stands on it.

"I'm sorry," he says again. "For what happened. For leaving you behind. I'm sorry for saying I wouldn't go and then doing it anyway. I'm sorry, because I loved you and I took it for granted. And I should've said it before, but I'm saying it now. I'm sorry."

He's pleading, he realizes. Praying for a chance. He'd get on his knees if he thought it'd make it get through to him. Would follow him to the ends of the earth if it'd stick. “I know it's asking for a lot. I'm asking for everything all over again. But I mean it. And I need it. So, please. Stay.” 

“Bradley,” he hears, soft as a whisper. Gives in to the urge to touch and grabs ahold of the hand he used to swear he’d never let go of. “You're talking like I didn't – like I didn't say things I shouldn't have. God, I was so fucking cruel, and the last time we did this –” 

“The last time we did this, we made mistakes. Plain and simple. We were young, and I was stupid, and you were angry, and we hurt each other. And – and I don’t know what we are to each other anymore, after all this, but,” Bradley says. His voice cracks as he feels their fingers intertwine, a lump in his throat as Jake’s grip tightens. “But. I do know what we were, and what we can be. If we both just… try.”

It takes a minute for Jake's head to lift. For him to look Bradley in the eyes.

"I almost lost you out there," he says. Voice hoarse.

"But you didn't, Jake. You saved me."

"And I've lost you before."

"I'm not going anywhere. Not this time."

Bradley's heart is pounding in his chest. His eyes scan Jake's features, committed to memorizing every sharp line and gentle curve. In case this doesn't work, in case all he'll have is old hurts.

And then he feels the hand in his. Feels the grip change, shift, tighten.

"You think you can love me again?" Jake finally asks. Bright, brilliant eyes, anger gone, and hope in its place.

And Bradley has to laugh, even as his vision blurs with tears. "You think I ever stopped?"

It's a quiet day in Spargus and your daughter just learned she can throw bath bombs in the dishwasher.

I made a poster for Danyx666's gaming youtube channel. I used the logo I had already drawn for him before for the ‘D’, a demon and a controller; for the 'A', I used Assassin's Creed's logo and changed it a bit; the 'N' is from Crash Twinsanity; the 'Y' is supposed to be from Yakuza, but it was really tricky because I didn't know how to adapt it for it to fit with the other ones; the 'X' is the X-Blade from Kingdom Hearts. The first '6' is from Naruto; the second one is from Resident Evil 6; the third one is a magatama from Phoenix Wright. What you see in the background is the North Star from Hokuto no Ken. There's also the butterfly from Life is Strange, a Rabbid from Rayman, Bullet Bill from Mario, Munchie from Dragon Quest VIII, Spyro, Sly Cooper, Crash Bandicoot, Clank from Ratchet & Clank, a Precursor Egg from Jak and Daxter and a Chocobo from Final Fantasy.

the search for physical PS2 copies of the J&D games, entry #5

So, as I have shared here, my hyperfixation has set me on the course of tracking down the original PS2 copies of the main Jak and Daxter games so I can use them as display pieces and so that I can lovingly hold and own them yet again. And because I love physical media and all that comes with it, I would ideally like to find copies that still have their manuals inside. I won't be able to play them since I don't have a PS2, buuuut if I happen to come into possession of a working PS2 at some point in the future, I certainly won't complain.

Right now my main focus is just finding the main four games on the system- Precursor Legacy, 2, 3, and X- as those are the games that my brother had when we were kids and that I have the most memories with. Thankfully, I've already found two of those games, so now I just have to track down the other two. Depending on price points and if I can find them in person, I may also pick up Daxter and Lost Frontier for the PSP, since I now have a bit more emotional investment in those two as well (Daxter for the minimal Errol content, TLF for Phoenix), but those are not a priority at the moment.

I went to the second location of the game store where I bought my initial copies of Jak II and 3, both to see if this location had TPL and/ or Jak X, and to sell a few wayward games that have been gathering dust in our house for what seems like forever just to get them off of my hands.

To my surprise, I found yet another copy of Jak II there (this makes the third physical copy I've seen since I got back into the series), a black label version with the manual and even the same PlayStation Underground card that was in the copy I got from the comics store a few weeks ago. It was also a few dollars more expensive than the copy from the comics store ($15 vs. $9), so I'm glad I grabbed the cheaper one when I saw it.

A cool if slightly uncanny sighting (seriously, this is the third time I've seen this game in the wild since I started my search), but unfortunately that was the only Jak game they had, and I definitely don't need a third copy that I can't play, so I moved on to the PSP section out of curiosity.

And wouldn't you know it, I actually saw a genuine copy of The Lost Frontier on the shelf, in person, with the manual. If it wasn't 30 whole ass dollars, I might have bought it for the novelty and the Phoenix factor, but alas, it was $30, I also have no means of playing it, and I don't even like most of the game from when I watched the longplay on YouTube. Phoenix truly is my favorite part of that game, and as much as I love him, I cannot justify spending that much money on TLF as a display piece. If it was a mainline J&D title, I likely would spend the money against my better judgement.

So right now I'm still only at two games out of my main four, but I'll be keeping an eye out at different places to see if/ when anything comes up. And before anyone asks why I don't just look online and buy them from eBay or something, I mean I COULD if I really had to/ wanted to, but because my brain is still apparently living in 2007, for some things I just prefer to shop for them in person so I can see and feel the quality and appearance for myself. Plus in this case, whenever I hopefully find what I'm looking for, to me it just makes it so much more exciting to stroll into a physical store and actually see the exact games for myself and being able to buy them and walk out with them that day. Idk, I'll have to see how the search goes. J&D were pretty popular games in the PS2 era, there's gotta be copies floating around that I just haven't come across yet.

Superhrdinka Captain Marvel, vlastním jménem Carol Danvers, má poněkud komplikovanou a nešťastnou minulost, ale i v jejím životě se objevují chvíle hodné obdivu a obliby. Její cesta od pilotky až k nejsilnějšímu členovi Avengers rozhodně stojí za zmínku a navíc se můžeme připravit na její nadcházející film.

Slova “na holku dobrý” slýchávala od svého otce, protože dle něj se nikdy nemohla vyrovnat svým bratrům v jeho očích. I přes její výborné výsledky na škole, její otec poslal na vysokou jednoho ze synu a Carol se rozhodla jít do armády. Už od dětství bylo jejím snem létání, a tak netrvalo dlouho a stala se jednou z nejlepších pilotek a přidala se k US Air Force, kde dosáhla až hodnosti majora. Spolupracovala s Furym a též s Loganem. Ano, tím Loganem. Později přešla k NASA jako jejich nejmladší v historii ředitel ochranky. Na své pozici nejčastěji čelila útokům od rasy jménem Kree.

Superschopnosti získala po nehodě v důsledku výbuchu Kree technologie v její blízkosti a blízkosti dalšího Kree Mar-Vella. Její DNA se rozložila na lidskou a tu kree. Komiks. Měsíce ale netušila, co se s ní děje, měla výpadky paměti na dobu, co její superhrdinská identita přebírala kontrolu.

Z NASA musela bohužel odejít a chvíli pracovala jako redaktorka v The Daily Bugle, kde odmítala být jen posluhovačkou a psát články pro ženy o kosmetice. S jejími výpadky ji pomohl Kree jménem Ronan (ano, ten šmoula ze Strážců Galaxie) a Carol se naučila své schopnosti ovládat. Teď jako superhrdinka pod jménem Ms. Marvel začala zachraňovat New York a spolupracovat s dalšími superhrdiny až ke chvíli, kdy si ji všimli Avengers a nabídli ji se přidat k ním.

Tvůrci #200 dílu Avengers to jasně přehnali. Pozice, do které dali svojí hrdinku Ms Marvel pobouřila tehdejší fanoušky a především fanynky a nejedna kritika byla napsána v té době, kdy se vyjádřila nechuť, se kterou museli čtenáři daný díl přijmout. Jednu z kritik napsala i spisovatelka Carol A. Stickland a vidíme, že už v 80. letech mohlo publikum vyjádřit své znepokojení s využitím ženských postav v komiksech. 

Carol byla znásilněna zloduchem jménem Marcus a ten ji přivedl i do jiného stavu. Který trval tři dny po jejichž uplynutí Carol porodila malého Marcuse, který za asi jeden den dospěl v dospělého muže a pokusil se své matce/milence opět projevit náklonnost? Komiks.

Nejhorší na tom všem je, že se Carol nedočkala psychologické pomoci, nedočkala se ani podpory. Avengers ji nejdříve gratulovali k těhotenství a posléze se ji pokusili vyhnat pryč za blouznění a lži. Milí to hrdinové.

Carol to napříč svými komiksy neměla vůbec, ale vůbec lehké. V době vniku její postavy byla odpovědí na 2. vlnu feminismu, která se prohnala americkou společnosti a vzrostla poptávka po silné, emancipované ženské hrdince, která sama dosahuje svých cílů a jde si za svým. Proč ji ale museli tolikrát zlomit? Zřejmě byla až moc emancipovaná. Kromě znásilnění se potýkala i odloučením od lidí, které znala, nakonec i s odloučením s planetou Zemi. Zřejmě ji už natolik zklamala. 

Bohužel po incidentu s Avengers, se Carol dostala až do domu X-menů, kde ji ale napadla Rogue (důvody byly autorem komiksu objasněny jako bezdůvodné) a v důsledku tohoto souboje přišla Carol o své schopnosti. Později ji zashl evoluční paprsek a spolu s novými schopnostmi teď už jako Binary odletěla ze Země, sama a bez vzpomínek na minulost. Po čase se vrátila, zachránila Slunce a musela se dlouho zotavovat ve společnosti Avengers, kteří se nadále chovali “milé” (Captain America ji vyháněl pryč). 

Carol totiž propadla alkoholismu a musela pryč. Její síly byly na minimu, rozvíjela se u ní těžká deprese a těžko zřejmě splňovala kvality superhrdiny.

Pamatujete si výše zmíněného Kree vojáka jménem Mar-Vell? Byl představitelem nížší kasty jejich rasy, byl růžový Kree a tudíž vypadal jako člověk. Jeho posláním bylo špehovat na naší planetě, ale po několika přestřelkách se nakonec stal Carol spojencem a nejspíše i milencem. Tak ten Mar-Vell? On zemřel. Během událostí obrany proti Dark Phoenix se Mar-Vell obětoval. Carol byla do něj zamilovaná a v jeho čest si vzala jeho hrdinské alias - Captain Marvel.

Jako Captain Marvel je Carol často pryč ze Země. Stala se z ní agentka S.H.I.E.L.D.u a má kočku jménem Chewie. Během svých misí, kdy zachraňuje bezmocné na jiných planetách, se nejčastěji setkává se Strážci Galaxie.

Postava Carol Danvers se poprvé objevila v roce 1967 v komiksu Marvel Super-heroes #13. Její origin se objasňoval v Marvel Super heroes #18 a její současný origin najdeme v jejím samostatném komiksu Ms Marvel z roku 2006.

K přečtení doporučím její současnější série z roku 2012 a 2014 napsané Kelly Sue DeConnick. Kromě jejího modernějšího vyjádření se můžete těšit na komiks psaný ženou, která postavu Captain Marvel chápe a ví jak vyprávět její příběh. Její Carol je hrdinka, superhrdinka a především je ochránkyní pro slabé a bezmocné. Je vzorem pro svojí malou sestřenici Kit a též pro mnohé další ženy. Opravdu cítíte tu sílu, kterou Carol Danvers vyřazuje. S takovou nadějí, kterou nese a s její neuvěřitelnou sílou není divu, že veškerý spoleh na záchranu Avengers v dalším filmu, je teď na ní. Navíc má ten nejroztomilejší vztah se svojí kočkou Chewie, pro kterou by udělala první-poslední. Což je myšleno zcela vážně, Carol nejdřív zachraňuje Chewie a až pak sebe, když se na ně řítí nepřátelská loď.

Máte-li tyto série za sebou, můžete se podívat na nejsoučasnější příběhy psané o Captain Marvel. Ať už společně s Avengers nebo samostatné.

Proč máme několik postav pod jménem Captain Marvel už víme, ale máte pocit, že jste slyšeli i o další Ms Marvel? Je to tak, po tom, co se superhrdinské alias uvolnilo, převzala si ho Kamala Khan a teď ona je Ms Marvel. Dívka je mladou teenagerkou a první muslimskou superhrdinkou. Schopnosti získala po aktivaci přeměny v souvislosti s tím, že je Inhuman. Kamala je velkou fanynkou Carol :)

Do kin jde samostatný film o Captain Marvel a půjde o její origin, proto se bude příběh odehrávat v 90. letech. Hlavní role se ujala oceněná herečka Brie Larson. Po jejím boku se dále objeví Samuel L. Jackson jako Nick Fury, který má ještě dvě oči. Stejně tak se vrátí náš oblíbený agent Agent Coulson. Objeví se i Lee Pace, aby zopakoval svojí roli Ronana. 

Pro Avengers 4 nám zůstávají zatím pouze spekulace o tom, jaká bude role Carol proti Thanosovi. Ale už teď víme, že ona je neuvěřitelně silná, prý dokáže hýbat s planetami a byla poslední nadějí Nicka Furyho, takže můžeme doufat v její schopnosti odvrátit to nejhorší, co se během lusknutí rukavic�� stalo. Prý může Carol přiletět s dalším kamenem (Ego Stone) a porazit Thanose v luskání, kdo ví? Víme jen, že se máme na co těšit a že Captain Marvel vše dá do pořádku.

So, I’ve been into this series for a little over 12 years at this point, and needless to say, it was literally my childhood.  When I turned seven years old, I got my first gaming system -a PlayStation 2- and the first video game I ever owned, Jak 3.

So I fell in love with the game, and I of course sought to own, and play, the whole series (when I was first playing the games, I played the third, fourth, first, and then the second game, in that order).  When I was about nine some things went down that caused me, along with my brothers, to have to move out of state to live with our grandparents, thus forcing me to leave my PS2 behind.

So for about eight years I've been waiting to play the games again, and of course, I lost my mind when I heard that they were being ported to the PS4.  They're literally the only reason I bought a PS4 to begin with! I've played all the games in the series except for Daxter and The Lost Frontier (the latter of which I'd only found out about last December, thanks to Wikipedia), but weirdly enough I couldn’t remember much of anything about the games after a year or two of not playing them (until I started playing them again in December 2017, of course!).

Currently, I’ve completed the whole trilogy, as well as X.  I'm more than open to discuss any of the three, so feel free to chat with me about them!

Sly Cooper Shitposts

I got into the Sly series somewhat recently (July 3, 2018).  Since then, it’s been one of my favorite series, and one of the only series I play.  I don’t really have much else to add here, other than this: if you’ve never played these games, either play them or watch a let’s play (play them if you can though).  The entire trilogy can be found on Playstation Now if you have a PS4 and don’t want to hunt down a PS2 and all the games just to play them.

Like the Sly games, I got into this series pretty recently (March 26, 2018).  At the time I was looking to try out some PS2-era franchises similar to the Jak and Daxter series, which is why I initially tried these games out.  My first R&C game I played was the 2016 reboot, and while the humor, characters and all that weren’t the best, it was really fun to play and got me wanting to play the older games.  After a couple months or so I played some of the earlier games on PSN (Quest for Booty, Crack in Time, and Into the Nexus) and enjoyed them a LOT more than the reboot overall (mostly CiT though, since although I played QfB I didn’t especially care about it, and I enjoyed the intro for ItN a lot but got bored with it).

I’ve known about Hamilton since mid-2016 (thanks to a former friend of mine), but I actually kind of hated it for a while, because of said friend (let’s just say that she constantly shoved Hamilton content in my face without properly introducing me to the musical first).

It wasn’t until last December (December 2017) that I finally got interested in the musical.  My brother who lives out-of-state was visiting for the holidays, and he literally blasted Alexander Hamilton and Non-Stop in the house several times during his stay.  After listening to them a few times I actually really liked them (especially Non-Stop), so when I got some free time (sometime on 1/14/18, since of course I still remember the exact day I got into Hamilton), I decided to listen to the whole musical, and I loved it.

Now pretty much all I listen to is Hamilton.  I know I’m going to say this at the end of all these other bios, but seriously, if you want to talk to me about Hamilton, message me.

So to start off, I thought I’d just say that I’ve only ever watched the films, but I have read a tiny bit of the comics as well.

I got into the franchise in early June last year (2017) when I saw Guardians 2 with a friend, and let me tell you, I really wanted to see it, despite not caring about the series at all.  If I didn't care about the series at the time, why did I want to see the movie so badly?  Well, let's just say that I only wanted to see it for that sweet, sweet "plot" if you know what I mean. 👀   I also just needed something to distract me at the time, since I had been going through some really difficult stuff around that time (I plan on making a post about what happened at some point, so if I do, then you’ll be able to find it here).  Once it was over I fell in love with the characters, and the franchise overall, since the second film had not only far exceeded my expectations, but it also helped me cope with the bad stuff that had happened to me not too long before.

I’ve been into this series for about two... actually, almost three years now! (where has all that time gone?).

My brother actually got me into this series!  I watched him play Rise From the Ashes one night (I think it was somewhere around March 2015), and I was kind of interested in trying it out after that (although I kept my mouth shut about wanting to try it, since I was really self-conscious about trying new things at the time).

I didn’t get to actually play Ace Attorney until mid-June that year, when my brother one day shoved his 3DS in my hands, telling me to play First Turnabout.  After playing through the whole case, I got obsessed, and I was also really excited, since he was going to buy the trilogy for me on our Wii (he didn’t live with us, so he couldn’t let me play the games on his DS).  I didn’t officially get into the series until July 2nd that year, which is when I started playing the trilogy on our Wii.

I completed the first game in three days, and I was obsessed with Ace Attorney for about a year and a half after that (I think that’s the longest that any obsession of mine has ever been my, “Main Obsession”).  I also had a huge overblown crush on Phoenix most of that time (which is surprising in hindsight, since I couldn’t care less about him anymore).

I’m now just a casual fan of the series, and I’m down to discuss Spirit of Justice any time (since it’s my favorite game in the series), but I don’t really care to discuss the others (not usually, anyways).  So anyways, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my blog!

I’ve been into Pokémon for as long as I can remember.  I know that I’ve been into it for at least 13 years, but I feel like I’ve liked it for much longer.

I didn’t start to really obsess over it until the age of 11, after getting Explorers of Sky for my birthday (one of the Mystery Dungeon games).  Once Gen. 5 had started, I only got more into Pokémon.  I mostly collected the cards, but I did also play a lot of Rumble Blast.  And let me just say, I was honestly so into the TCG, that it was kind of unhealthy.

I lost interest in the franchise for a little over a year, starting at the age of 13 (thanks to My Little Pony), but once I stopped liking MLP, I just went right back to obsessing over Pokémon, but with a bit less emphasis on the cards, and more on the games (Who am I kidding?  I was still immersed in the TCG world at this time!  Just, not quite as much as before).

After about a year of being addicted to Pokémon (again), I started to become more of a casual fan of the series, turning my interest towards other things (i.e., Ace Attorney and Steven Universe).

It wasn’t until I started playing Sun (a month after it released) that I started obsessing over the franchise (for the third time).  I became a casual fan again soon after finishing the game, which was somewhere in early March of 2017.

Currently, I’m just a casual fan of the series (aside from my several characters, who I’ve had around for three years at this point).  I can’t really suggest you trying to discuss Pokémon with me, since I am just a casual fan nowadays (Unless if you want to know about my characters I mentioned!).  Thanks for reading!
